This weekend episodes have actually broken my soul.

He didn't even need his feelings to be reciprocate, HE JUST WANTED TO BE WITH HER.

Dear writers, some things to ask, why so much screen time to second male lead? Why create such chemistry? Such backstory? (Spoiler alert: that will make us sympathize with the supposed villain) To just fuck*ing rip his heart out and pulverize it like Grandma with the cow bones, yes, just like that.

Let me get this straight, after having been raised in an environment of violence, pain and God knows what else for God knows how long, he falls in love. He experiences ✨feelings✨ ,he puts all his trust in her like never before, he shares his past and then he gets betrayed.

I swear I never seen someone cry so with so much meaning, feeling, with so much back there.

We made progress for the last (at least) five episodes TO JUST END IT IN A SINGLE ONE.

This could have been handled a lot better in a lot of ways and about a lot of topics that I could actually write an essay.

Let's begin the the main leads.

So, in order to have some sort of feeling about ML and FL loving eachother you need to put screen time ON them. Yeah, they support eachother, they have known far before Si Oh, they are funny and a lot of things more. They even kissed and very passionately, wow. Just one thing, Why didn't I even blink during that scene but found myself hitting the pillow and blushing when Si Oh did such mundane things as taking her home, opening doors for her, fixing her purse, hair, looking at her with those "I love you" eyes,👏feeling👏guilty👏about👏making👏her👏uncomfortable👏 with👏his👏feelings👏for👏her HELLO??, WAVING HER BACK WHILE HE WATCHED HER GO, SMILE EVERY DAMN TIME HE SAW HER?

I´ll tell you why. Because I know, thanks to you, that Si Oh was experiencing for the very first time what it's like to have human interaction that doesn't involve violence or having to be wary of everything and everyone all the time. He wanted to connect, to share his whole self, to be happy, to make her happy, to love and be loved. Moreover, I can't help just to feel happy for him, sad, angry, fucking rageous (not more than him, obviously).

Meanwhile, I barely know Hee Sik aka the male lead.

I remember seeing his mother once and I think that's what I understood about his private life. Sorry, I forgot about his deceased brother, that could have been a good topic to develop if it wasn't just mentioned once somewhere in the sixth chapter and left there to rot. Other than that, I know he is a cop, loves his cops friends and loves Nam Soon, also he is really loyal and good person.

Nice👍, very nice. But what else?? Or does the man just exist for his job and girlfriend? Even Shi Oh had some time to box being a drug dealer and full time whipped for her.

I'm just saying that you want me to suddenly dislike someone you took a considerable amount of time explaining but I have to like this good guy because you just pointed at him 👉🧍, and said, "here's the good guy, love him".

Sorry, I cant do that.

If you haven't noticed, you just made a character I fell obliged to sympathize.

If you wanted to make him evil and hot you should have just made him evil and hot.

It worked just as well with Jang Han Seok from Vincenzo.

Not have him have "REDEMPTION" written all over his face just to go with "Actually, no. He has no chance. 😃". It's, for lack of a better term, frustrating. (Absurd)

Instead, maybe you should have dedicated that screen time for the construction of the main leads relationship.

Oh, yes. Another thing since we are talking about the matter.

ML and FL relationship progress got weaker and weaker since she had started to spy on Si Oh. And then one episode was like "Oh, yeah, forgot to tell you, they are actually dating by now" Bom, a kiss. If I need a kiss to know they are in love, there's something going on back there. Something lacking.

Scenes of them in love: well acted, nice, cute, cool, okay. But it is like picking a random romance book and start reading it ten chapters ahead, they are in love, but how this did happen??? Last time I saw them, they were in a friends-and-some-more zone.

Where's the progress?

I know where is it. In the fake relationship, that it was being used just to turn Si Oh into a complete monster with probably not chance of going back.

"You have suffered a lot, yeah, I see. Anyway here's more pain. Suffer more and go cause some trouble because if not, there's, apparently, no plot"

Nice job.

I have been saying this and I will say it again, kdrama writers/directors are not ready for traumatized villains. They are afraid of them.

Mew doesn’t deserve Boston as a friend

**Talking about Mew not Book. Book has done a wonderful job with his acting deserves big hugs I can’t imagine how difficult this role was for him. **

So last week I said Boston deserves Mew as a friend and the post was mainly about how Boston has been a good friend to Mew the reverse is not true. First let me get my own headcannon’ s out of the way no I haven’t read the book or read spoilers so don’t tell me. I believe Mew and Cheum have been friends for a longer amount of time and we found out from episode 10 Cheum met Boston their first year of university that’s why Mew and Cheum’s bond seems closer than the others.

Mew and Top were not dating when Boston and Top cheated. Mew and Top are official at the end of ep4 and Mew says infront of Boston 3 times he’s not dating Top. Yes it still shitty however not Murder Blackmail someone who is your “friend”. Also hypocrisy here with Mew kissing fucking Boeing back. So mew isn’t dating top now so it’s okay? Sure Jan.

All of the friends rely on Boston and he provides what the they ask of him. Mew tells Boston to help care for Ray. We KNOW he does. Boston wakes ray up in class. He drives him home. He stays with Ray when he asks. Cheum relies on Boston to talk to her brother when he won’t talk to any one else. Mew asks Boston to find them a designer. He does. Mew asks Boston for his opinion on Top and Boston tells him that Top dumps people after 3 months which we know from Boeing that’s true.

All of that is true but Boston is just a heartless slut for Mew to feel morally superior to when the only time I have seen Mew do something for another character was Ray’s attempt on his own life. What else? Nothing. But no Boston is the heartless one.

Mew knows how special Nick is. He’s well aware Boston doesn’t sleep with the same person regularly. That’s why Mew assumes Boston and Nick are seeing eachother at the pool. Something that I think ✨inspired✨ Mew to become official with Top then have his own pool date because Mew has to be better than Boston. Despite knowing how important Nick is Mew sure is quick to remind Nick of his place just hired help. Useful tool. Don’t get any ideas that you are more than that. Mean girl energy. Mew can’t even pretend to be civil to Boston’s person. Oh maybe it’s because they weren’t dating… Humm… double standard again….

Mew immediately manipulates Nick into telling Mew about Gap by playing on Nick’s insecurity. Nick was never important to Boston by Mew’s telling. Even though we know Mew is aware this is a fucking lie. Mew and Cheum have been gossiping about BostonNick developments for a while. Mew does this just to be fucking nasty. Boston doesn’t need a friend who can’t see the value he puts on Nick as a person. Not as a tool or sex toy.

Mew steals the vid from gaps computer doesn’t delete it from the computer. Then he tried to show Boston’s dad the video (so the vid is on the laptop too) and he shows Boston the clip on his phone. Mew has the audacity to think outing Boston and getting him sent to America would be proper punishment? Mew was going to do it. Murder his friend’s future. Seriously fantasize about Drowning his friend. Then to keep Boston in line he keeps the clip? Fucking sick and he has the audacity to call Boston filthy?

Boston after this event stays quiet he continued to help with the project mind you he’s already contributed Top who designed everything and Nick who installed security system and made the website. He is a tamed dog. And yet Mew didn’t invite him to the Halloween party. He fucking insults him though insisting that Boston and Top are still fucking. Yeah right Boston seems sooooo into that pathetic desperate sad rich boy.

Let’s get on to ep 10 my final fucking straw

But Mew has the audacity to storm into Bostons house see the wall of lock boxes where Boston keeps his photos (not digital) and has the balls to say oh of course Boston would black mail someone to sleep with him. Really? Mew is the one with blackmail on Boston. Mew is the one who manipulated Boston’s person into saying that Boston’s closest guarded secret was a guy had taken video of him having sex. Mew is the one with two copies of the video to dangle over his head so he plays the silent friend the butt of your jokes.

Boston had every right to look at Mew like he might slap him. But Boston just takes it because he did actually love his friends at one point and there is no use arguing with them. Boston believes he is the monster they claim him to be even with Nicks assurances that “Bostons friends love him for who he is”

Mew never loved Boston. Boston was just a person to make Mew look better. Mew doesn’t deserve to have someone like Boston in his life. Mew can’t appreciate anything beyond his nose and that’s always up in the air because he’s SOOOOOO much better than anyone else. Literally there is no reason Boston should ever forgive him or see him again.

Maybe Mew liked the idea of found family from his fantasy books that are in the shelves of his home. As a closeted queer child I think that’s what drew me to the genre lots of people from different walks of life and species coming together to go on an adventure. Often the found family aspect was more captivating than any romance the book had to offer. I longed to have a group of people to feel as close to me as my siblings who would accept me. Maybe that’s why Mew tried to assemble a found family of his own with a hunter, drunkard, table holder, and a dancer. But when Top came into the picture Mew let that fly out of the window. So he superficially held onto Boston hoping by blackmailing him Mew would eventually be able to play paddy cake with him again. But Mew should never be forgiven for what he’s did to Boston episode 10.

Can’t wait to see that smug smile slip from his face

Rose x teruko - idk their interactions in chapter two really made me ship them more than I usually did in chapter 1. The pull up scene was cute.

Nico x rose - their free time event together was really cute. But it's kind of sad that Nico used his time with rose to use something she had around to help with his murder plan with Ace. Other than that their ship hasn't gone down a peg because I still enjoy them as a ship.

Veronica x Ace - I don't know they seemed cute. Saw some other people ship them and I became kind of hooked. There interactions just make me want more.

Get character development

Interactions are funny and make me want more , but are too one dimensional for me to be like "oh yeah they'd be cute romantically" even though one hates the other and the other can't stop threatening them

Levi x Ace? - listen I don't know. There interactions just make we want more. I don't ship them but I also don't see them as a brotp. But I'm also not neutral towards them either. I don't know how to explain them because ?????. I guess I have to wait and see what their characters Intel (unless Levi is the murderer for chapter 2 or something lol )

Mixed feelings

Not ships really but dynamics I enjoy because they pick my brain in a way that's different than my romantic ships and platonic ships

Eden x Arei - I don't know if I should ship them romantically or not. What Arei did to Eden is not okay but that confession to Eden really touched my heart with water and almost drowned it. If only Arei didn't die , I would've loved to see how differently she would've treated Eden after this.

David x Hu? - somethings going on between them in the chapter two trial. I don't know kind of want Hu to strangle David lol [my sister says they read like divorced parents]

Arei x David - you can't fake a blush this one's not really one I enjoy as much as the other ones but I felt like I needed to put this here because I wonder if David actually tries to hide that he has feelings for other people.

David x Xander (xanvid)- same as above.

Brotp

Should stay friends but in a ✨best friends ✨ type of way. I don't know how to explain my brotps just know they could work as roommates but not in the same way Charles , teruko and whit are.

Teruko x David - saw someone say they mirror each other and I can't get that out of my head.

Veronica x teruko - the moments in chapter 2 made me like their interactions

Eden x teruko - their chapter 2 moments and the fact that teruko basically admitted that she didn't want to hurt Eden because of her bad luck because Eden is so nice to her. (I would ship them if it wasn't for brain only seeing them as just friends , may change later on but omg I love these two together) overall very cute

Hu x Levi - dad and mom duo?. Maybe lol but like platonic because they don't read as romantic

Eden x Levi - chapter two interactions. I don't know. their scene in the kitchen was pretty cute

Don't think about these ships often enough to dislike them or fawn over as much as the ones above.

Teruko x min - I liked their interactions before her death but I never thought about the ship so their last interaction didn't have as big as an impact on me as the story made it out to be.

Teruko x Xander - same as above but their interactions had a huge affect on me to the point where imma remain neutral untill I get answers for what the heck happened at the beginning "why did you ask me to kill teruko" . Ultimate rebel my butt , taking orders from someone lol.

Arturo x Charles - don't know how this ship came to be so I remain neutral on it lol. Don't hate it as their colors match really well. Just don't see how they would act if they were "together" because they barely interact.

Dislike

I don't understand these ships listed from their interactions to their characters themselves

J x Arturo - their something about 'some' obsessive x target dynamics I dislike. I don't know what it is. I'm neutral on J's character to the point where I can't hate Arturo as a character because of his actions towards J. I don't know how to explain it lol. Their interactions were interesting mostly because it was the most emotion I've seen Arturo show and J's yelling voice makes my eyes light up. (Her VA is so good). Other than I find their dynamic interesting I wouldn't like them as friends or romantic. I says friends only because it depends on how despair time frames them making up with each other because while Arturo acted creepy towards J I don't know how I feel about dog piling someone about their dead sister is the right way to get pay back. J has not obligation to forgive Arturo for his actions towards her either but I wonder where their dynamic will take them after chapter 2 (because I'm confident neither of them are the killer)

J x Arei - never seen the appeal of this ship. I don't know kind of want people to not mock J about the way she dresses or chooses to behave. (This is just my opinion though if you saw it as teasing I won't berate you about it but It personally didn't sit right with me)

Arturo x Eden - Eden accidentally triggered Arturo causing him to threaten her with a scaple because he doesn't want his secret known (not Edens fault obviously.... I just don't want to base a ship off threats to their lives)

Nico x Hu - I don't know , it feels weird to ship this.

WAIT I REMEMBERED MY IDEA, OKAY, UM, HOW DO YOU THINK DEMONS COMPARE TO HUMANS IN TERMS OF- I can't think of the word. Not durability. Endurance? Hm..

Because I'm thinking about Luci and Dia always having tons and tons of paperwork, and wondering if their hand ever cramps. Can demons develop arthritis?? (I ALWAYS COME UP WITH THE SILLIEST QUESTIONS/IDEAS I'M SORRY)

This came up in my mind because we finally got approved to get product in (brand new empty store), and we've been stocking nonstop. On Fri/Sat, me and another manager were in charge of floral AND breaking down everyone's boxes and throwing them out (15+ people who were instructed to throw their cardboard at the end of the aisle to work product faster)

So like, 9 hour shift both days, and my hand is curled around this tiny box cutter for a majority of it. I was switching between opening boxes in floral, and then doing laps around the store every hour to break down and collect everyone's trash. And understandably, it hurt to move my fingers on Sunday lol. I admit I also have a tendency to push myself because I want to get things DONE and move on.

Today I was stocking jewelry so no breaking boxes, just unwrapping beads. My fingers are doing a lot better AND THE AISLE LOOKS SO PRETTY.

Anyway, I wonder if they do get hand pain, and if Barbatos has a cream or pain relieving tea. I need him to teach me his ways.

Anyway, I did not get the Levi bday card, either. But I don't usually try too hard for the bday cards in general. I usually pull once or twice and that's about it. (Obvious exceptions are Barbatos and Solomon. They're the only ones I'm allowed to be weird about when it comes to bday nightmares. Yes I have rules for myself lol.)

Okay, so I've actually considered whether or not I think demons get things like carpal tunnel and like arthritis is a similar situation. And personally, I don't think they do. Because imagine Barbatos, if you will. Certainly a repetitive motion such as whisking or stirring ingredients could give one carpal tunnel if done enough. And that guy is constantly baking. Can you imagine Barbatos ever getting carpal tunnel?

I just think that demons live for so long, they would have to at the very least not get such issues as quickly. They live too long, you know?

BUT. I do love the idea of Barbatos having a little cream that he rubs into his wrists and hands as prevention. And I don't doubt that he knows of such things, too. Hang on why am I remembering a chat about this?

Yeah, I got a daily chat where Barbatos was like "Ciaran there's something weird in the fridge what do you think it is?" And it turned out to be some hand lotion that Diavolo had made for him, but he thought it was some freaky food substance.

I was so touched because awwww Diavolo looking after his old hardworking butler! But it doesn't really say if it's meant to like... relieve hand pain, it's just like yeah some kinda cream lol!

Anyway, I think demons likely either don't get such issues at all or they get them, but it takes a lot longer due to their lifespan situation. Either way, I also think that Barbatos is the one to ask about pain relief... I don't doubt he knows about all the perfect tea blends and likely the perfect types of creams and such, too.

As for you, I must recommend hand stretches. I get wanting to get things done, but if you push yourself too much you could accidentally cause yourself real and long lasting damage! Honestly all you'd need to do is put that knife down for like five minutes and roll your wrist around, maybe do that claw pose with your fingers and move 'em around, you know how it is!

But I'm glad you're feeling better now and I hope you get to do some things that don't put such a strain on your hands!

the way you write him tho is so good, it’s like i could actually imagine him saying this stuff or acting this way, even with mean!gorou it doesn’t feel like this is an outlandish character that’s so ooc that it wouldn’t even be considered in canon, i feel like he can be a bit snarky sometimes if he wanted to and it makes me so happy reading your posts about him and really being able to visualise his character as a whole! and with the cat!reader stuff, it’s just so cute i’m so glad you had that brainrot or thought or whatever it’s called, because it truly created a collection of thoughts and pieces that make a cute little storyline, seeing their relationship develop through different asks makes me squeal on the inside 🫣

I DUNNO 😭 Y'ALL SO NICE TO ME ALL THE TIME. 9 times out of 10 I will cry when someone likes my stuff. It's just that I was sad before I took the quiz because of a mean Christian woman and so I was like "Let's cheer up by taking a fun quiz!" Only for the quiz to stab me in the back with grey phrases that people may or may not like me. It didn't hold back. As if I wasn't confused enough and full of self-doubt. 💀 It's not the ides of march anymore, it didn't have to come at me like this.

Me: Wanting to make a eutopia world where there's no troubles and everyone gets along because everyone understands a little thing called sympathy

Wilford leaving Melanie behind & Alex watching shouting for her mom was so painful I sobbed (that actually broke me, and talk about ✨ poetic cinema ✨) & (2x06 is a fing masterpiece btw, the whole episode, I didn't know I needed an hour of Melanie being a smol depressed ball of PTSD being all alone wandering around the station and hallucinating, but that totally benefited me and the show)💀

All of the soft Melanie and Alex's scenes. They're so precious and very important to me in a sentimental way, specifically when they were bonding in 2x03 and also Mel having to leave the coldlock where they hug🥺😭🥺

The therapy scene in 1x10 where Melanie opens up with Audrey about Alex was very very well done and very beautiful (we need more Melaudrey scenes)

Ruth's speech in 2x07 cuz talk about some good character development

The revolution battle in the nightcar in 1x08 was awesome to see

Ruth interrogating Melanie and Mel telling Ruth the truth about Wilford and the train in 1x08 was bittersweet and left me shattered when Ruth sent Mel to be executed

Josie's "death" scene in 1x07, that was not a cool thing from Melanie at all, Josie deserved better there (and she felt all of that pain from the cold too)

The plot twist at the end of 1x01 for Melanie made me think "Hell yeah, I'm already loving this show!"

Melanie finally letting her hair down in 1x10 wearing a jean jacket and cargo pants really made me feel things and idk and I didn't expect her to get even more attractive but that totally did it for me. Actress:

Natalie Portman has been the love of my life since I saw her performance in Black Swan. I was so young and I fell hard, and have been in that love hole ever since (-':

Her portrayal of an obsessive artist who is irremediably self-destructive is flawless, her understanding of Nina was absolutely amazing. I think she was the very first time I thought of the work an actor goes through to develop certain characters and stories, so she caused a huge impression upon me

Gina Rodriguez has such a fluidity (?) to act organic even when she's in a rollercoaster of emotions and stimulations! Aaaa

I'm talking mostly about her in Jane the Virgin. But holy shit, the ups and downs her character goes through in a matter of seconds is unbelievable!!! She said once, that part of getting the scene correctly was due to the top tier work the writers did, and I believe her 100%, but the organic projection she's able to pull off is stunning!

And the monologue in season five after Mich*** comes back is A FUCKING EXHIBITION OF TALENT!!! I had to pause the damn thing to process that scene, it was astonishing and so cool. Aaaa she's so cool

Gillian Anderson, Queen, empress of my heart who somehow gets very serious roles that she plays with a killing confidence I so desperately wish I had.

The way she manages to portray characters full of wisdom and authority without having any idea of what's going on when she's on set, amazes me to this day.

I watched her first as Bedelia, my favorite character from Hannibal ever, honestly. The cast asked how she managed to play the smartest and most cunning character of the series, and she said "i have no fucking idea, i didn't know what was I saying most of the time" that left me utterly speechless, I love her. I wanna do that

Actor

Armando Quiñones. Ughhh, he's a local actor from the city I come from. He's a theatre actor. But is he so talented.

A middle aged man, in a play about some creepy and kinda sinister sisters (played by- you guessed, middle aged men) who kid around w/ some stupid guys who are after their money.

Armando's roles are two. One bastard bitch called Elias, drunk and very vulgar man who wants to seduce whichever of the sisters. The other is Eliseo, a sensitive writer who falls in love with María Adelfa and wants to marry her.

Let me tell you, this man has such an eloquence. He's so organic in his performance, it took a long moment for me to realize I had been seeing the same actor the whole time, with a very very different role from the asshole of act I!! The way his presence changed, his voice, the way he carried himself- from overconfident fucker to a sweet shy man. UGH IT WAS AMAZING!!!

I watched that play so many times. He talked to me once and I was t h r i l l e d. I couldn't believe it d-':

Gabriel Neaves. Also from my town. He actually played María Adelfa in the play I mentioned. Talented actor and director! Adopt me pls

He likes to do cabaret shows, he's a very charming actor and the characters he plays make you feel empathy every time. The way he's able to pull you through the story with him gets me every time. I admire him so so much.

And the play from before? Ugh, forgot he wasn't a woman in reality. I felt like I was watching one of my aunts with all the drama and gossip. And the chemistry between Eliseo and María Adelfa- 20/10 for tragic climax. They both made me cry, I believed love was real but an oh so very sad thing, unforgettable performance!

Hugh Dancy. Honey, king of my heart. Astonishing talent I completely envy the shit out of him. His talent is amazing!

I've seen him as the love interest in romcoms and stuff. I love the monologues he's performing these days...

But Will Graham. Don't get me started. Such a complex character! I couldn't believe my eyes when I watched all he went through- he's an epic character, with a development so complete and rich! I love him, I utterly love what Brayan and Hugh (mostly) did with this character. Top tier acting for that unique interpretation, bc Will is such a complex character with very poetic lines and a surreal kind of overwhelming existence and Hugh somehow makes it look like that's not hard and he lets Will flow so fine! He's unbelievable, everything that happened to Will made me think of how Hugh was portraying him and I think that's a huge accomplishment for an actor, I'd say
