Still seeing feminists in 2023 claiming that ‘emasculation isn’t real’ and it’s still baffling me.
How can you look at the lived realities of Asian and Jewish men and think “yeah these men totally aren’t emasculated and viewed as lesser males or less masculine than white men and it’s totally not dehumanising or racist or anything 😌” like. Racism against MOC doesn’t always look like portraying them as aggressive or dangerous, it can also look like viewing certain types of minority men as ‘failed’ men and ‘lacking real manhood’ as a dehumanising tactic. Myths about Jewish men previously portrayed them as having periods and being ‘basically women’. Asian men are fetishised and stripped of their manhood frequently by K-pop stans and people online who don’t realise that masculinity and gender roles look slightly different in non-western cultures.
Also… trans men. Who are FORCEFULLY emasculated and feminised against their will, by genocidal bigoted conservatives, and sometimes even somewhat by other queer people telling them to ‘tone down’ their non-toxic masculinity to avoid making others uncomfortable, making themselves dysphoric and detached from their gender identities to remain palatable.
What about disabled men? Are they not also viewed as failing to achieve proper manhood? Are they not also emasculated and viewed as ‘un-male’ or ‘less male’?
Minority men absolutely can and do experience emasculation. And it’s not ‘toxic’ or misogynistic to bring it up. Feminists who care about POC in particular should not be pretending otherwise.

Supernatural season 13
I've heard of the widower arc that takes place during the early part of this season but geez
Dean looks so depressed – the desolation, the hopelessness. Poor Dean Bean, lost his angel yet again. You can't help but feel for the poor guy (for now…)
Tumblr media
Then the instant 180, uno reverse this man takes in his demeanor. He's so happy Cas is back. AND having a big cowboy adventure! They're spoiling this man after the widower arc. Jack & Sam are not down for it but Dean's been so miserable they shut the fuck up.
Dean swallowing deeply when Cas quotes Tombstone – confirmation they have movie nights together (ALONE??????) if they were alone during these movie nights – they're basically dating w/o clarifying that they are actually dating – and they're coparenting, my goodness! The domestication is real!
We later find out Dean snuck a quick shot of Cas in the little cowboy hat he made him wear for the case. Wow.
Tumblr media
But as a side note - I did NOT appreciate how shitty Dean was to Jack. He was basically abusing him verbally like WTF give the kid a damn chance - don’t make death threats to the newborn child that was literally born yesterday like the fuck #jackdefensesquad. Like anything bad that jack actually does, he’ll think back to the moments where Dean was like ‘oh he’s a monster’ ’when you go dark side, I’ll be the one to kill you’ yeah like maybe that’s what pushed him to that point. It’s no surprise Jack chooses to leave. My ass would’ve been gone. Also was Cas made aware of the threats Dean made to Jack???
They’re making it REALLY HARD to like Dean this season. MoC was bad, Demon!Dean too but evil forces were at work. This time he got no excuse — threatening at 16 yr old girl who has no one in her corner. They’re basically forcing her to help them for nothing in return. Unbelievable 🤬 And Sam, wtf? Would it kill you to stand up to your fuckin’ brother!
Anyway - Jack’s power is totally cool though.
Kaia…was killed by an alternate self? Whaaaaaat?
So this was the season they tried for the Wayward Girls? Shame it didn’t work out…like the premise is cool BUT since the main show barely give the women characters the time of day, is it any wonder that a pilot didn’t work? The showrunners only seem good with moments - but no building up of the narrative like the male counterparts AKA main cast. Also - what would be the conflict - give people a reason to keep watching the girls - their storylines seem more or less resolved - Jody has already mourned the loss of her family, its not like she became Batman or something to fight a war against criminality. Claire has also gotten past the loss of her parents (as far as we know but honestly she should’ve been part of the main narrative as her life had been directly affected by Castiel’s actions and we all know why Cas bothers to get up in the morning…anyway), Donna doesn’t seem to have anything going on - she’s divorced but over it, Alex is over her dark past, Patience is just seeming to get a hand of her abilities - like where are the stakes??? Sam and Dean had a whole quest to embark on, then they had to navigate fraternal relationship while fighting monsters all the time, slowly unraveling an overarching narrative that’s taken over their lives. Where’s that for the ladies????
I spoke too soon - Donna’s niece gets kidnapped and Doug is her boyfriend (wow totally forgot about that guy, certainly didn’t think he’d return) and once he gets turned into a vampire but cured of it, he’s done. Before he leaves Donna, he calls her a hero. Honestly, if I ended up having a partner/lover who killed dangerous supernatural creatures, I wouldn’t leave them. I’d stick by them and have them teach me a few things. Oh well. Maybe Donna will run to Jody to have a shoulder to cry on ;) I know y’all JodyxDonna shippers are out there.
Tumblr media
Scoobynatural was fucking legendary! I loved watching Scooby doo as a kid, from when they were literal babies, to the OG episodes, to the revamp from the early 2000s, all the movies! (Zombie Island was the best!). It was a genuine delight watching the Winchesters (and Cas) cross paths with Mystery Inc. makes me wish they met Buffy and Ash from Evil Dead. That would’ve been awesome! Watching Dean say scooby dooby doo was total cringe tho :/ I love that Cas shut him down 🤣🤣
That ascot though? He’s wearing it all wrong, its supposed to be stuffed in, like how Fred wears it. And certainly not worn with plaid. SMH…
But now I totally want Supernatural as a fucking cartoon! Just like Scooby Doo - it would’ve been fucking glorious, Dean’s unhinge-able jaw, the kooky facial expressions, the comedic effects, and who knows, it would’ve given the show-runners the artistic freedom to reveal the true form of angels, namely, Castiel’s. Oh well.
Tumblr media
Donatello is…dead? I know they said Brain dead but after Amara sucked out his soul and Cas fucked up his brain, isn’t he better off dead? Par for the course for a prophet though, sucks for him.
Funny how Rowena suddenly wants to be the good mom and try to bring her demon son back after CENTURIES of chances. Sure she may not have known what became of Fergus since she left him, but I’m sure it wouldn’t have taken much to find out. She just didn’t want to. Now she’s filled with regret. And Sam’s destined to murder her? And she didn’t take him out? Okay, well then I guess it’s only a matter of time until she dies😒 not this season though, she’s too useful with her witchy powers to be killed off until she serves whatever purpose is convenient 😒
Angels are almost extinct :( I know they’re meant to be seen as controlling jerks but so is Dean XD lol anyway that’s a bummer with devastating consequences cuz if there’s no angels - they said all the souls will fall to Earth and become ghosts - billions in number - yeah. If it were me I would’ve just said the souls disappear but it ain’t my show 🤷🏽‍♀️
Naomi is back and I don’t even care - I’m sorry but I just don’t care about Apocalypse world either, I feel like it’s a grand waste of time. The fact that Charlie and Bobby are there doesn’t even matter cuz it’s not them. It’s not the Charlie and Bobby we got to know before. They’re just counterparts of another world, echoes of the fallen. When Dean says I can’t lose you, dude you literally just met her. And they’re expected to what, abandon the world they were born into? The fuck?
And fuck this show for killing Kevin TWICE!!! Kevin you were too precious for this universe/multiverse, whatever.
ketch is the latest (aside from rowena) of former villains/enemies/antagonist in supernatural that's suddenly we're supposed to be sympathetic towards since they switch sides and help the winchesters for a change but what's the reason??? I feel it's a little out there that Dean especially would let ketch live after what he put his mom through but whatever. since the show runners insisted with this whole apocalypse world crap, Dean would have died without ketch's help 😑
Gabriel has returned…only to die…again…awesome. at least he got to fuck rowena before he passed away 🤣😅
Tumblr media
Luci got fucked over hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahaha
Bobby x Mary, oh man John would be roaring in his grave…if he had one 🤣 [got burned to ashes in season 2], Bobby finna take his whole family, first his sons now his wife ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Luci resurrected someone? And nothing bad happened? Now tht’s a twist. I figured since he’s Satan she’d turn into a demon or something, but i guess not cuz we’re definitely not gonna see her again…
You know since I’ve seen The Boys I can see a resemblance between homelander and the devil, they both blow up in anger very similarly. When jack tells Luci, you’re not my father, he raged in a way that was eerily like Homelander would’ve. Just thought I’d point that out…
Tumblr media
Dean lets in Alt-Michael - Oh Lord above its the apocalypse all over again (this was a cool shot though) - meanwhile what’s OG Michael doing? Is he still in the Cage with Adam? Really? You had to bring an extra Michael into this nonsense? Ok 🙄 You know if Luci had possessed Sam too, it would’ve been a wrap!
Jack is powerless…for now? This poor kid was gonna kill himself?! Honey why? Ugh I’m blaming Dean for this. He put the seed in that kid’s head he was nothing but trouble and he was going to sacrifice himself, poor baby!
Cas why would you let Dean go?!?! Too sad to follow him into battle after Dean let Alt-Michael in?
Why can’t Sam get a super powerful Big Bad kill huh? Why is it always Dean? Geez.
So the only good things to happen this season were Scooby Doo and Jack meeting Cas. Ugh, their meetup was soo cute ^_^
Tumblr media
Welp only 2 seasons left, the last that’s over 20 episodes. Which means we only have 40 episodes to go til the end…goodie 😅

So I’ve just started watching Supernatural season 11 and I’m about twenty minutes into episode two and I was wondering your take on Sam here. I just passed him praying acknowledging that he is the reason that a lot of people are dying. But he’s also stated, in the previous episode, that he’d do it again in a heartbeat. So I guess I was wondering your thoughts on this? And if you feel like the actions differ from previous ones in that Sam is willing to sacrifice potentially thousands of people just so he doesn’t have to lose Dean. In the past they’ve been willing to sacrifice themselves or hurt demons, but even with saying no to the archangels it was in part to stop a larger amount of casualties. Also I was curious to your opinion on the “cure” angle which felt to me as a way to be like ‘see sam isn’t a bad guy sure he caused this but he doesn’t want to hurt anyone else he wants to help’ even though be doing that more people potentially get infected and die in the process.
Hello, and thanks for the ask! (And idk if you've been here before or not, but welcome regardless!)
The delay in response is largely because I went back and skimmed through the transcripts for episodes 1 and 2 of the season, as well as past conversation with friends, to see what I said then and remember my opinion on this... and damn but I remember all this now and I thank you for the opportunity to respond! I'll probably address your points slightly out of order, if that's okay! (And apologies in advance; this turned out longer than I thought... here's a keep reading :) )
First, re. my general opinions about Sam in these episodes. This section pissed me off when I first watched it. (For reference, I wasn't live-reacting to the show; instead, I would watch the show, then go to Discord and rant at @typicalopposite about all the things that --- positively or negatively --- stuck with me. And ranting about s11 eps 1 and 2 took at least half an hour without her responding, more so if you add in her responses.) Warning for spoilers to the end of episode two; it's been way more than 20 minutes since this ask, so I'm hoping that's not a problem!
For one thing, he ticked me off with his dumb talk about "when did we change, Dean? Since when do we shoot first, ask questions later" with all the zombie apocalypse level shit going down. In zombie film archetypes, he's totally the annoying pacifist who views zombies as people too and then gets people killed as a result. AND hides his injury to the point that he starts turning and could, in theory, end up infecting someone. Yeah, it ends/ended up working out here, but that doesn't make it good logic/decision making, and, in a supernatural contagion like the one they were facing, they should not have tried for the luxury of a cure. Indeed, Sam probably got way more people killed in the meantime than he actually saved. And I'm not sure what he meant by, "I'm gonna do what I do best, Dean," but, whatever was actually meant, I find it immensely amusing that the line was followed by Sam drinking monster blood and then lying about it to his brother. Yes, I recognize that this was not the same as the Ruby situation, but the (probably accidental) implication is interesting.
It also pissed me off that they keep running with this idea of "we broke this." Like, no, false, full-stop, we did not break this. Dean repeatedly said he didn't want you do to what you were doing. NOWHERE did he say he wanted it to happen. He was actually taking steps to not break the whole thing. The only culpability Dean has in the MOC not being dealt with without releasing Amara is that he took that swing at Death (and that only happened because he couldn't kill Sam, or let Death kill Sam). But that wasn't even what removed the Mark? Rowena et al. working behind the scenes is what removed the Mark. And she was working under Sam's... idk, request? threat? supervision? Fill-in-the-blank, you know what I mean. "We" did not break anything; Sam broke the thing.
Which brings me to your point about Sam acknowledging that he's the reason people are dying but also being willing to do it again, and about his actions differing from the past... I'm honestly not fully sure.
In some ways, his insistence on removing the Mark (and staying to find a cure) is in-character. He's often depicted--- though not always (cough cough: Benny, Emma, the other characters he inexplicably decided weren't human enough to receive the same repeated chances he gave everyone else) --- as believing in nurture over nature. Just being a supernatural isn't the same as being automatically evil. And, if he stuck to that, it'd, frankly, be an admirable stance to take. (But, again, he doesn't stick to it --- especially whenever a non-human character is getting mutually close to his brother.) And, in this case, he refused to believe that Dean was ever "too far gone" to be cured, so... that tracks.
It also bears mentioning... Sam has a habit of taking action because he feels guilty, and that guilt leading him to not consider the consequences. Take post-s3-finale-through-s4, for example: Dean's gone, and he feels guilty about it, so he takes on his ill-advised-and-poorly-handled attack against Lilith, which ends up starting the apocalypse. (And let it be known that, for all I'm a Sam anti, I do recognize that he wasn't wrong in going after Lilith. He, Dean, Bobby, etc; they all thought that killing Lilith was the way to go. My problem with him is a) how he did it and b) how he treated his brother throughout the entire arc. Not the action. However, it's still an example of his guilt driving him into something that caused a lot of people harm.) So, in that sense, getting rid of the Mark continues tobe pretty in character. I don't know if it started out normal or not. (e.g. I could see that Sam felt guilty about the fact that Dean took on the MOC because he was cruising along in his, frankly, vaguely suicidal mindset after Sam cut him off, but I'm not sure I remember the scenes well enough to know if Sam's intent focus on finding a way to take off the Mark stems from that guilt, or idealism, or codependency.) Regardless, after Charlie, curing the MOC becomes less about curing the Mark and more about him working off the guilt about her death.
And, stemming off of that, this is another instance of him telling himself that he's doing something for his brother when he's really not. s4: he goes on a revenge quest to take down Lilith "for Dean" despite Dean coming back, being right there, and asking him not to. s10, pre-Charlie: he decides to take off the Mark even after Dean says he doesn't want him to do so. (I admit that this is an iffier situation because, like with Sam's Gadreel thing, there's the question of whether MOC!Dean has medical authority over non-MOC!Dean... but still.) s10, post-Charlie: he continues trying to take off the Mark despite Dean very explicitly and without any qualifications saying he doesn't want him to. Etc.
So, on the one hand, Sam's actions regarding the Mark --- and his actions regarding the zombie-virus-adjacent cure --- are kinda in-line with past behavior.
The line you isolated about how he'd "do it again in a heartbeat" (or whatever the actual quote was), however, is unusual. Usually, Sam spends the aftermath of a plan going wrong angsting about how much damage it did, with 0 ostensible willingness to do it again. No matter how committed he was to that path ahead of time, and no matter how many times he follows that same path (with different specifics) again later, he at least claimed that his guilt was so powerful that he'd never act similarly, he'd changed, etc. After the s4 finale, for an example, he apologizes more-or-less nonstop for some of it, etc. This time, though, he's blatantly saying that he'd do it again. And, for all he feels guilty, he's, for once, recognizing that he doesn't feel guilty enough to not do it again, and he's coming to terms with what that means. That feels different from his character in the past.
And, secondarily, the difference between this action and his past actions is that they knew removing the Mark would cause problems. With Lilith? Like I said, they didn't know it would cause problems. It's not really a surprise that he didn't stop because they thought it was the right course of action, and he always thinks he knows the best way to go. With the archangels, saying yes was a clear path to death and destruction, so it's, again, not really a surprise they both said no.
But here? (And, btw, I've made a previous post comparing the MOC situation to the Gadreel situation --- basically arguing that Dean gets vilified for Gadreel while Sam gets away with MOC no problem, called Actions of the Greater Greater Good, if you wanna check it out --- and I'm borrowing some of the wording here.) Good, bad, and neutral characters alike had warned them against taking off the Mark; these include but are not limited to: Cas, Rowena, Crowley, kinda Charlie, the Book of the Damned itself, Dean (through the Mark), the Styne family, eventually even Death itself. Sam also had to work with Rowena (clearly suspect with bad motives at that point) and drive off a high-powered ally (Crowley) in the process, while working with a book tied to dark forces. And so on. There was no "whoa, however could we have known that this was going to cause wide-scale problems", or, at least, there shouldn't have been. Sam knew what the costs could be and went on anyway.
That's the real character shift. He's actively taking on the consequences --- and potentially harming multitudes as a result --- instead of accidentally stumbling into it. So, yes, I do think his actions here are vaguely out of character; not in the fact that he did what he did, but that he did what he did knowing what could happen as a result.
Which is --- to attend to your final point about the cure, and to borrow your wording --- why I agree with you about it's a way to say "see sam isn’t a bad guy sure he caused this but he doesn’t want to hurt anyone else he wants to help." He's doing the whole try-to-do-something-good-to-counteract-his-guilt thing, and it's once again quite possibly causing problems (since we've no clue how many people he actually saved, and how many people died because he was obsessed with the cure instead of saving people who hadn't been infected at all). It's annoying and naive, in my opinion, and it did not exactly endear me to his character.
I hope that was a vaguely coherent way of answering the ask... I've been rambling with my computer keys for so long that I'm not sure it makes any sense whatsoever, but I'm hoping it does... I'd love to hear back from you if you happen to have a response, but no pressure; all the best!

Disliking Scott McCall and pointing out that he is a creep for hanging out with high school kids despite being a grown ass man in his 30s (aka much older than Derek was in the series) is not racist. Watching and supporting the Teen Wolf Movie after the racist, misogynist way Tyler Posey and Jeff Davis treated Arden (a WOC) is definitely racist though. There's a reason Arden spilled the tea and liked a tweet against Posey and Jeff specifically. You are just butthurt she exposed your shitty fav
Between this and your other ask, it’s kinda convenient that your idea of supporting a woc comes at a price of shitting on a moc, who called your abusive pedophilic ship out… What a silly coincidence that is! Btw, yeah, there are reasons for people to not like/dislike Scott/Tyler, it’s totally a you problem that you’re being blatantly racist in your little anon rants.
You can’t gloat at the fact that Tyler P (who is my fav since then? or you bother every person, who isn’t racist to him?) couldn’t negotiate a raise for himself, but then say that he had enough power to negotiate a raise for Arden. He clearly doesn’t have anywhere near as much negotiating power as Tyler H, who got exactly what he wanted. So, where is outrage at Tyler H for supporting the movie and getting the money that could’ve gone to paying Arden?
Also, you can’t read or something? Derek - an adult man - didn’t ‘hang out’ with teens, he stalked, threatened, kidnapped, physically assaulted and been sexually inappropriate with them. We have no idea what kind of relationship Scott will have with Eli, but I’m kinda sure it won’t be that. A kid potentially having an older mentor isn’t ‘creepy’, breaking into a teen’s room or telling a teen to seduce someone is. Do you feel the difference?
Also, it’s kinda pathetic that you spend so much time in my dms, so, to help you save some dignity I’ll probably just turn anon off. Let’s see how brave you actually are…

Alex walked through the kitchen, in her usual boots, jeans with an eeyore hoodie and a gray tank top, and yelled at the guys sitting at a table across from each other while walking up the stairs, “Grocery run! If you want something, text me! Yes, Dean, I know, pie!”
Dean grinned and Sam chuckled.
She turned around as she walked up the stairs backwards slowly, “If you’re lucky, I’ll make you one but you gotta text me what flavor.” She grinned and winked before turning back around running up the stairs and out the door.
Sam pulled out his phone and started texting Alex what he needed from the store.
Dean tensed up and looked at Sam, “What is she driving?”
“Bobby brought her jeep a while ago. Her motorcycle was on a trailer,” Sam stated as he continued to read his book.
“Oh,” Dean nodded. “Good.”
Sam smiled and chuckled.
Six hours later…
Sam looked at the time and texted Alex, “Everything ok? What’s taking so long?”
Dean looked at Sam, “Alex has been gone a while.”
“Yeah, I just texted her. Hope everything is ok,” Sam said, a bit concerned. He got up and went to his room to get his laptop then sat back where he was at the table. He started typing away and concentrating on the screen. “She’s still at the grocery store,” Sam stated, confused.
Dean quirked an eyebrow at him, “You tracked her?”
“I’m worried,” justified Sam. He watched the screen for a few minutes, “Something’s wrong. She hasn’t moved since I pulled it up.”
“What?” asked Dean.
Sam flipped the laptop around and slid it over to him.
Dean watched it for a minute, “Come on. Let’s go check.”
“Let me call the grocery store,” said Sam, who grabbed his phone off the table and looked up the number.
Dean went and got the keys to Baby anyway and waited.
A few minutes later Sam hung up and shook his head, “Said she left like four hours ago.”
“Shit,” exclaimed Dean.
Sam and Dean headed up the stairs to the Impala and drove to the store.
They arrived at the store and found her Jeep. They saw groceries scattered, as if thrown into her trunk area.
Dean looked around for her phone. “Sam,” he called, having found her cell on the ground behind the store with an empty syringe close by and showed Sam.
“Let me see if I can track any of her backup phones,” stated Sam.
“She has back ups?” asked Dean as they got back into the impala.
“Yeah, of course, Dean.” Sam said, working on his smartphone with a small, confused smile on his face.
“I didn’t know. She didn’t tell me,” he explained.
“It’s my fault. I forgot to send her contact to you with her updated info. I’ll do that in a minute.” He suddenly commanded, “Dean, turn around.”
Dean did as Sam instructed.
Sam navigated Dean based on Alex’s back up phones location.
“Yes, I checked both phones she usually has on her and they’re both at this place,” Sam explained.
Dean pulled over next to a dirt road and turned off Baby. Alex was in trouble, it was all that mattered at that moment.
They quickly got out and went into the trunk to get their gear. Once collected, they slowly walked down the dirt road, prepared for anything. As they approached, they came across an older two story house with a barn about forty feet away with worn in tire tracks in the dirt. The clearing was surrounded by tall hedges and trees which the brothers used to their advantage to remain visually hidden.
A man stepped out of the barn slowly and audibly sniffed the air.
Dean had his gun ready and aimed.
Sam pulled out his machete in one hand and his gun in the other.
The man went back inside and more men and women, 10 in total, came outside then closed the door to the barn behind them.
The men and women opened their mouths revealing an abundance of teeth–vampires– and they approached Sam’s and Dean’s location.
Dean and Sam put away their guns and Dean pulled out his machete.
They quietly approached from behind, bringing their blades up and quickly beheading two vampires easily but their blood wasn’t red, it was almost purple as if turning black. The others attacked, and despite punches and falls that they quickly recovered from as well as a few attempted bites, the brothers beheaded the remaining ones with minimal injuries.
Their blades dripping with vampire blood, they approached the barn ready for more to attack. Dean slowly opened it as Sam looked inside. The sight before them was a painful shock as they rushed to Alex.
Alex was chained up against a wall by all four limbs with her head fallen back and eyes closed. There were several bites on her arms, back, and legs as well, as she was hooked up to what would seem to be a machine you would see at a hospital to donate blood.
Sam quickly went to the machine, examining it to reverse it.
Dean worked to get Alex down.
“Keep her hooked up,” Sam instructed and went to help Dean with getting Alex down. Sam quickly checked for a pulse; she had a weak one.
Sam ran out of the barn to the impala to bring it in as well as for the first aid kit.
Dean watched her bruised face as the pallor began to slowly improve.
Minutes passed, the machine beeped indicating it was done.
“Wake up, Alex,” Dean said. Tears began to form in his eyes, “Baby, wake up. Come on. I know you can do this.” He leaned his ear down to her mouth hearing her shallow, even breaths. “Come on, Baby, wake up,” he said again and slightly shook her.
A quiet groan from her throat was heard and Dean smiled. “Alex? Can you hear me?” He licked his lips as he watched face.
Her brow furrowed and eyes fluttered open, “Dean?”
He brought his hand down to her face and caressed it, gently, “Hey, Sweetheart. Thought I lost you there.”
Alex half smiled and tried to chuckle but it came out as a groan, then said in a dry, gravely voice, “Nah. I’m not that easy to kill.”
She worked to sit up and Dean helped her. She looked around then leaned further forward looking behind him. “Idiots,” she grumbled, staring at the bodies behind him and shaking her head. She groaned as she tried to take a deep breath and explained, “Just bruised ribs.”
Dean looked behind himself and saw four bodies on the floor, pale and gray that Alex was looking at.
The barn door opened and Dean instinctively picked up his machete ready to fight. It was Sam who came in with the large first aid kit.
“Alex,” he exclaimed with a grin.
Alex tried to grin back but it only came out half way from the purple bruising on one of her cheeks, “Hey, Sam.”
Sam followed Dean’s eyes and saw the bodies as well. “What?” He said as he opened up the kit and started cleaning up Alex’s wounds.
“Guys, was there a stodgy, wide guy out there?” she asked, concern written on her face.
“No,” replied Sam as he started to bandage her up. “You’re gonna need stitches,” he stated calmly.
“Yeah, not surprised,” she replied.
Dean slowly got up with his machete still in hand and walked to the bodies. He knelt to examine them, confusion written on his face. “What happened to them?”
“I did,” stated Alex. “I’m poison to monsters,” she explained. “Once Levi, their leader, left to go deal with a buyer, they quickly got frustrated with his orders and fed on me in groups. Tried to tell them but who’s gonna listen when you’re hungry?” She tried to smile but a quiet hiss of pain came out instead.
“Your blood did this?” asked Dean as he stood up and looked at her.
“Can’t be turned either. Not sure which side it is but,” she attempted to shrug but closed her eyes and grimaced. “Angels and/or Demons are poison which makes sense if you think about it,” she further explained.
“Wow,” Sam responded to her information. “Ok, I think that is everything.”
“Know how to make a makeshift brace?” Alex asked and pointed to her right ankle.
“Busted my ankle and foot up when they got me. I can barely stand on it,” she said, irritated.
Dean came over looking to pick her up but quickly, Sam stood up, pushing the first aid kit into chest, “I got her.” Dean looking annoyed, reluctantly taking the first aid kit.
Sam knelt down and picked her up bride-style.
“Woah,” Alex gasped and quickly wrapped her arms around his neck, then added quietly. “Not what I expected. Hell, didn’t expect y’all to show up either.” She kept her eyes down to Sam’s chest as she tried to hide the warmth spreading through her cheeks and they walked out of the barn to the impala.
“Why wouldn’t we?” Sam asked her, confused.
She looked up at him, “Oh, the reason? I’m a danger, like apocalypse-level danger right now.”
Sam literally sat down in the backseat with her on his lap which caused her blush even more; however, it was luckily hidden mainly by dirt and bruising. She scooted off of him and tried to put the seatbelt on but the bite on her right shoulder wouldn’t let her. Sam smiled and grabbed it, helping her put it on.
Dean slid into the driver’s seat and looked in the rearview mirror at her.
Alex’s face was calm and relaxed, a large purple bruise on her cheek and dirt and blood on the other, with her clothes ripped up. They must have ambushed her and drugged her because it looks like she fought them hard. They hightailed it back to the bunker as Alex watched the scenery.
“Who is Levi?” asked Dean.
“He is one of the handful of vampires that escaped me when I was captured by a nest.” She quickly corrected, “I mean when my family and I were captured by a nest.” She paused, “Almost 13 years ago now. I only know his name because he introduced himself to me this time. Supposedly had a dealer willing to pay good money to buy me.”
Dean glanced at the rearview mirror as she spoke.
Her face grew angrier—brows furrowed together, eyes hooded, mouth almost a sneer—as she spoke while her voice almost monotone. She shifted in the seat until she could lean her head on the headrest like a pillow. Her breathing quickly slowed and eyes closed.
“Hey,” Sam gently shook her. “We need to check you out before you can rest.”
Alex shifted back around towards Sam and nodded.
He took off his seatbelt and shifted over to her wrapping his arm around her giving her a hug.
She returned the hug and buried her face in his chest as silent tears rolled down.
Sam rubbed her back avoiding the injuries and kissed the top of her head. She smiled to herself as he rested his chin on her head.
Dean saw this and glanced at Sam, giving him a half smile and a nod. He was a bit envious at that moment but pushed it away as he drove.
Almost at the bunker, Alex pulled away and wiped her face off. “Sorry about your shirt,” she said to his chest.
Sam shrugged, “It’s a shirt.”
She leaned against his chest as she waited for them to pull into the garage.
Sam got out and went to the other side and scooped her back up.
“You know, I can hobble to the infirmary,” Alex said, mildly irritated they weren’t letting her walk.
“You don’t like being helped, do you?” Dean teased.
Alex looked at him and crossed her arms then sighed, glancing at Sam who was carrying her bride style again. “I’m not used to it. If I ever got this hurt, I’d just deal with it until everything healed. It’s been a while since I got this level of hurt.” A minute later, Sam out her in a chair in the infirmary as she quietly grumbled with her eyes hooded, “I hate vampires.”
It took a while but Sam got her sewn up as pain free as possible, and rebandaged with a new type of bandage she got for them–a waterproof, clear piece of plastic that functioned like a bandage and you could shower with it.
Sam smiled at her, “As far as I can tell, you don’t have a concussion but you should probably get a brace.”
“A boot would be better, I think. And yeah, I didn’t fall, just banged around,” she smiled at him. “Thanks.”
Sam sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck, “No problem” then went to clean up the mess he made while patching her up.
Alex quickly got up from the seat and tried to hobble, but it was too much pain. Sam rushed to catch her from totally crashing on the floor. “Fuck. Dammit.”
Sam picked her up with a knowing grin, “It’s ok. I don’t mind.” He began walking them to her room.
Alex blushed again, “It’s just…” She took a deep breath and quietly explained, “I haven’t had anyone be like this or take care of me in a long time.”
“Not even around Bobby or your Dad?” Sam inquired.
She tensed up with the mention of her Father. “Ha, my Dad? I’m lucky if he is even around when I go see him. I think he has the apartment so he can get mail,” she fake laughed abruptly. She looked down at her lap then to the hall as she spoke, “As for Bobby, I’ve just been careful. I have no idea how he would react if I did get injured like this. I’ve gotten cuts and bruises, nothing too serious that needed stitches. It’s why I have armor; less likely to get injured. Despite healing fast, it doesn’t mean I can’t get hurt, scars or be killed but then again, I can’t wear armor everywhere.”
Sam set her down on her bed and offered, “Want company?”
“Thanks but no. I think I’m just gonna lay down and rest for a bit.”
Sam took a phone out of his pocket and gave it to her.
“Hey, you got my phone,” Alex half grinned. She looked at him very happy, “Thank you, Sam.”
“Dean was the one who found it. I just kept it safe.”
“Well, thank him for me too. Where is he?” Alex asked suddenly wonder where he went off to.
“Probably making dinner or something. I’ll go check.” Sam said and went to leave.
“Have you heard from Castiel?” Alex suddenly asked, concerned.
Sam shook his head, “No.”
“Me neither. I’m worried something has happened to him.”
“I’ll try his cell again,” Sam said and walked away to check on Dean.
Alex looked at her phone and sighed. What am I gonna do about you, Casi? Where are you? She prayed to him .

im curios about your aventurine pulls heheheh👀👀
Ok but before that I recorded it but. then my computer stopped recording because there wasn't enough space. goddammit I WANTED TO IMMORTALIZE THIS MOMENT and so unfortunately I can't share any screenshots :( me and my friend are devastated at this loss.
BUT TO PREPARE for him I bought out and stimulated Penacony's economy, and gambled ALLLLLL of my tokens for him.
I was at one pity, had 321 pulls, and a dream for him and his LC. We got all sorts of things, and then came a moment....a moment of suspense...and....we got Bailu at 80. I mean she's not bad but Lynx has more utility. Smh. BUT WE HAD A DREAM AND THEN....HE CAME HOME AT 80 pity. yeah he gave me a hard time lmao, but tbf I was pretty lucky earlier in the game, getting blade, kafka, and IL (and these banners were all pretty much simultaneous). i have a total of six limited characters and I've lost 4 50/50s, but again, I got lucky with those other pulls. so ig this is just my luck catching up to me
BUT. ig aventurine was feeling apologetic or something, because I got his lc at 49 pity! POGERRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSS
so yea i spent a total of 210 pulls for him. no regrets, already having a blast.
By the end, we had e6 luka and lynx, one bailu, a few refines for my weapons, 1020 starlight (so I got 16 pulls back lmao), and left only with 111 pulls, but, most importantly, we've got...
Tumblr media
i'm still ironing out some kinks with his artifacts, but his dmg is not too shabby. will probably swap out his def boots for some spd tho, since I'll likely be running him with RM a lot (currently have him an a imaginary dmg orb)
these are his traces, currently farming more so I can max them out quickly lmao
Tumblr media
may post gameplay later. idk. but now it's time to do MoC. my only issue is. well. figuring out teams. which side does my DoT team go. where. or do I bite the bullet and lvl my yanqing. idk

There is like, a grand total of one M*rvel thing that you can hilariously pin on China (the people, not the government), and that's the backlash against S*mu L*u's casting being too ugly bc I remember when that happened, white people of the 'I can't be racist, I want to fuck the one MOC from each race who is Hollywood's one token allowed to succeed' type were crying about how those other whites are obviously too racist to appreciate S*mu's unique Chinese ethnic beauty~, and I was sitting there like, oh lol it's definitely Chinese people, especially in China, who think he's ugly bc he is by Chinese beauty standards and Chinese people were understandably annoyed he was cast according to obviously Western standards instead, and I'm not necessarily defending Chinese beauty standards - colourism is rampant, and people can be really cruel about monolids - but yeah, like, white MC* fans could not grasp the idea that maybe in this case, it was actually not racist whites being weird about non-Eurocentric beauty standards lol

The Monster Of Willow Creek (Tales Of Horror Segment 2) (COPY RIGHT) Page 3
It’s 5 p.m. on the same day, Alyana is heading to a Starbucks to meet up with friends. Going inside, a young beautiful Caucasian adult female with burgundy hair, attends the same university as Alyana, and is between the ages of 19 to 21. Alyana sees her friend as well, waving hello. The young female friend goes up to, then hugs Alyana. “Hey, Becky.”, said Alyana. “I was starting to think you wouldn’t show up.”, said Becky. “No..just my uncle wanted to talk to me for a bit after class.”, said Alyana. “Oh, are you in trouble, or something?”, said Becky. “No, I’m not. He was just talking about life lectures.”, said Alyana. “Life lectures about what?”, said Becky. “Well, I’ve been sleeping in class for the past week. All because, I’ve been coming home really late. I hardly slept. And having too much fu.n with you, and the others.”, Sid Alyana. Becky chuckles. “Oh, sorry, but you needed to get out and take a break. You’ve been cooped up in your room, working and studying. You needed to get out and enjoy the outside.”, said Becky. “Yeah, well, can’t undo the past. What happened, happened.”, said Alyana. “Anyways, speaking of fun, the others, and I, came up with a idea.”, said Becky. “What’s the idea?”, Alyana. “Come, let’s go sit with the others, and talk about it”, said Becky. Alyana and Becky, are walking towards the table, where their friends are at. At the table, there are 5 young adults, 4 males and 1 females, now including Becky and Alyana, which makes 7 in total. Right before sitting down, Alyana has a weird tension with one of the young male adult. Becky notices there’s a tension going on. “Are you and Leon, okay?”, said Becky. “I don’t want to talk about it.”, said Alyana. Just before Becky asks Leon, he speaks out. “Don’t even ask me too. I’m not saying.”, said Leon. Leon is another Caucasian, handsome young adult man, attends at the same university, and is in the age of 21. “Okay, then! We’ll just sit.”, said Becky. “Hey, Alyana, I ordered you a white chocolate Mocs”, said the second young female. “Oh, thanks, Michelle. How much do I owe you?”, said Alyana. “Oh, no, it’s on me.”, said Michelle. “Thanks again.”, said Alyana. Michelle is another young, beautiful, Caucasian, raven black hair with glasses, attends at the same university, and is.in the ages between 19 to 21. “How was your bottle of rum last night, Aly?”, said the second young adult male. Both Alyana, and Michelle, looked at each other with their eyes. Hoping no one will talk about it. “The young male drinks his coffee, while Alyana replies. “Don’t want to talk about it!. “You we’re there, Isaac, you should know.”, said Becky. “I was too drunk to remember.”, said Isaac. “Well, like I said, I’m not talking about it.”, said Alyana. Isaac is an African American, handsome, young adult man, attends at the same university, and is in the age between 20 to 22. “So, what’s this idea, that Becky told me about?”, said Alyana. The third young male adult replies. “So, since we have a two break week, the gang and I, agreed to go camping at willow creek. There’s a cabin up there that we rented.”, said the third young man. “Ugh, we?”, said Alyana. “Oh, sorry, the gang and I, pitched in money to rent , so you’re good. So want to join us?”, said the third young man. “When are you guys going?”, said Alyana. “On Friday, the day after thanksgiving.”, said the third young man. “And how long are going to be at the cabin? Because, I gotta be studying for a test during these upcoming break. I have a test when school starts again.”, said Alyana. “It’s only for a week. You can take your books with you.”, said the third young man. Alyana is hesitant to go camping, but still decides to go. “Okay, sure. Are we all meeting up?, said Alyana.

supernatural s9e17 mother's little helper (w. adam glass)
noticed misha directed this episode, will be honest i don't take note of the director unless while watching something catches my eye
SAM Yeah? See, because ever since you killed Magnus, you've been acting... sort of...obsessed. DEAN Well, maybe because I want an end to all this. Maybe because if we find Abaddon, then Crowley ponies up the First Blade, and we kill her and him both. So, what you call being "obsessed," I call doing my job. SAM Okay, um... I get it, Dean. I'm just checking in. DEAN I'm fine.
nice brotherly (wait no not brotherly!) concern. and dean is TOTALLY fine. no issues here. he's just workin, sammy!
(sighing that it's a men of letters old timey thing, it's just not my jam on many levels)
so now is the mark making dean grumpy(er)? fic is giving me unrealistic expectations
Tumblr media
always a good sign.
the whole bottle, dean? does the mark change your alcohol metabolism? i guess i don't know that it's the same day still. no sleep all booze makes moc!dean somethin not good
Tumblr media
dude getting picked up by the van makes me expect a demon slice and dice phone call situation a la s1!meg. i don't remember what the blue light monster was. not a dragon is about all i got. oh right, vespa
do they ever use christo anymore? haha apparently not
Christo is God's name in Latin, will make a possessed person flinch. Despite many subsequent encounters with demons, this method of detection is not used again by the Winchesters. This has long been a bugbear of fandom.
one episode! until s14
DEAN Acting out how? SAM Well, same as the woman -- aggressive, violent, impulsive.
i wonder if dean is feeling some of these feelings too!!
Tumblr media
CROWLEY You're lying to Sam like he's your wife, which kind of makes me your mistress.
ha ha
Tumblr media
LOL from the side i was all SHIRLEY MACLAINE????
Tumblr media
er s3e6 fear of flying - jenny o'hara as nurse rhonda sterling
i started an ER rewatch last year maybe? and her character was memorable even she was only in 2 episodes. givin trouble to our beloved nurse hathaway
Tumblr media
huh never seen someone do that before. i appreciate them showing us his little routine for racking. show me that competency
Tumblr media
DEAN What do you want? CROWLEY You tell me, romeo. You rang. Let me guess -- you butt-dialed me? DEAN Whatever the hell that is.
do you expect me to believe dean winchester doesn't know what a buttdial is??
CROWLEY What's going on with you, huh? You call me, you hang up. You want Abaddon, you don't want Abaddon. You want the Blade, you don't want the Blade. If I didn't know you any better, I'd say you're stalling. Just between us girls, how did you feel when you sunk the First Blade into Magnus' head? DEAN Not half as good as I'm gonna feel when it's yours. CROWLEY Love it when you talk dirty. You know what I think? I think you felt powerful... virile... and afraid. DEAN Afraid? CROWLEY Don't scam a scam artist, darling. You're stalling 'cause you're scared.
another thing that was lost a bit i think when crowley was straight evil, didn't get to see him being clever and insightful (in his assholeish way)
Tumblr media
did i ever do a hiky for abaddon? don't think so. it's more noticeable to me now that you can't see the red hair
Tumblr media
stargate universe s2e7 the greater good - alaina huffman as lt tamara johansen
JOSIE No. It -- it's pre-Enochian. A crest of some sort. Kni-- "Knights of Hell"? What is that?
reminded me to look up enochian, hadn't realized it was an actual thing
Enochian (/ɪˈnoʊkiən/ə-NOH-kee-ən) is an occult constructed language[3] — said by its originators to have been received from angels — recorded in the private journals of John Dee and his colleague Edward Kelley in late 16th-century England.[4] Kelley was a scryer who worked with Dee in his magical investigations. The language is integral to the practice of Enochian magic.
okay well this page says it was used by adam in paradise, so what came before that, how did she know what it said? bah
JOSIE I could be more useful to you. People underestimate a woman. MOTHER SUPERIOR No. That's not it. You love him. He loves you, too, you know. Like a sister.
LOL what. everyone's hot for the winchesters of all generations?? i thought she was offering because he had a family
Tumblr media
CROWLEY I saw you. I saw the two of you together. Nothing like Cain? What's in that bottle? Delusion?
snorted
DEAN Where you going now? CROWLEY I'm going to go water the lily. Care to cross streams?
would love to see his face if sam or dean took him up on his propositions
do not understand the point of that baby hunter interaction. and why is he so clueless? with the swarms of demons that been around the past handful of years, surely even a freshly hatched hunter would know how to handle them? confusing.
JAKE But he did do exactly what you said he would. He saved you. CROWLEY Of course he saved me. We're besties. And now he's ready.
okay then :p that explains it.
bummer that dean is so grumpy now but he is extra pretty when he's like that
keeping souls in jars, okay. will this teach sam the lesson that when regular people lose their soul they turn into violent uncontrollable animals, but when he lost his soul he was just only sometimes violent and had a reason for it!
haha finally being practical, phone exorcism recording, hurray writers
Tumblr media
nother episode where they're too busy to have an angsty we're-not-brothers-yes-we-are thing
well i'm grateful it wasn't a flashback heavy episode after all. this whole soul harvesting business is a lot more labor intensive than cas getting all those souls from purgatory

I'm not one of the people who really hates late seasons, but like I definitely think there's been a downgrade in s12 and s13 (haven't watched s14 or s15 yet). Idk quite how to articulate why I feel this way, but I think it has something to do with how the story and the characters are presented. Like s12 and s13 have more stuff happening while also having far less substance.
In s1 it was mostly MOTW episodes, but every single episode you learned something new about the brothers and how it affected their relationship. That stays true for most of the early seasons. Then there started to be far more complex overarching plots like the Apocalypse in s4 and s5 or the MoC stuff in s9 and s10 and other things. I think the main thing that distinguishes them from s12 and s13 is how those arcs all contribute to Sam and Dean's characters and their relationship with each other.
Some people may dislike Carver era (I don't), but it did a really good job at having all of the conflicts (except for some of the angel stuff that was Cas' problem) circle back to the characters. The Trials were deeply interconnected with both Sam and Dean's mental states, and the MoC explored Dean's relationship with helplessness and anger and violence. That plot culminated in Sam letting the Darkness be released which proved Sam was lying in s9 when he claimed he wouldn't do extremely questionable things to save Dean. These seasons had more overarching plot but they all fit into building up the brothers' relationship.
S12 has three main plot lines: Mary, BMoL, and Lucifer/Lucifer's baby. The frustrating thing with s12 is that those plots all have potential. Lucifer being back was a great time to explore Sam's headspace, especially since they'd been forced to ally with Lucifer at the end of s11. They could've had personal moments, but instead they went for the grand "the devil possesses the president and sires a super powerful mindcontrolling baby" route which, yeah, is more dramatic, I guess, but it doesn't tell us anything new about Sam or build his relationships further. s5 had this through line about Sam's deep inner anger and resentment and how that connected to Lucifer. While possessed at the end of the season, Lucifer makes him kill a bunch of demons who've been helping him be controlled his entire life and he was scared but he also enjoyed it. That's what made his relationship with Lucifer interesting. s7 has a thing about Sam "letting him in" and s11 dances around that before he refuses to be his vessel again. In s12 Sam is much less angry with the world and in a far more stable place in his life, there's a lot to say about how he'd react to Lucifer now and what do they do with it? Pretty much nothing. He looks scared when he's around him. Yes, it's very good acting on Jared's part and I'm glad for the crumbs, but there just isn't the actual integral-to-the-plot substance that there was in earlier seasons.
And then the brought back Mary! I may be in the minority, but I actually really liked the whole actually Mary kinda sucked too thing. There were hints of it in earlier episodes (mostly 5x16), but it was interesting to see how the boys reacted to her. There was a lot of characterization information in their relationship with her. How Sam tended to get along with her better, but Dean seemed more inclined to reach out. Dean's childish dreams that maybe if his mom was around his life would be better were crushed as he realized that Mary wasn't anything like he thought he remembered her to be (and that she was actually far more like him, even in some less positive ways). Sam trying to play family peacekeeper, a position he'd never had to take before. It culminates in Dean realizing that he blamed Mary for everything that had gone wrong in his life (even if it wasn't totally her fault) then forgiving her for making the deal to save John because he understands her (anyone else think of the moment in s5 when Sam tells young John that he forgave his father for everything because he now understands what it's like to go through a loss that breaks you?).
That's the sort of stuff that I fell in love with Supernatural for. It tells you about the brothers and their relationship with each other and with other people. Their relationship with Mary could've been one of the most interesting things the show did, except they bungled it by mashing it together with the BMoL plot. Instead of developing more of Sam and Mary's relationship or making it so that Dean's confrontation at the end of the season seemed less abrupt, they focused far more on the increasingly-cartoonish BMoL enemies. And it's not like there was nothing there with that plot. There was potential for commentary on the good of the many vs the good of the few and the existence of good monsters and shades of gray, but instead they made them be evil British people who brainwash people and torture them for no fucking reason. They establish that most of the operatives were abused and manipulated only to kill them all anyway (a really bad look when your good guys are supposed to save people and believe that some "monsters" can be changed). What does "evil British people" tell you about Sam and Dean? It's briefly mentioned that Sam wanted to just follow orders and not lead sometimes but only in one conversation and it's never explored again. They just go "oh we can help people" then "whoopsie we were right and they actually were totally evil lets go kill them!"
And s13 has the whole Jack thing which could be an exploration of nature vs nurture but instead they try so hard to make the audience like Jack that the subject is just barely touched on. Sam is projecting onto him but never has any self-awareness of it, and Dean gets over his rational if very harsh reservations within a few episodes. What does that tell us about them? It could say a lot, but instead they're making a man in his late twenties act like a toddler for sympathy points. I actually like Jack, but I kinda wish he'd earned it more. Idk I still have a ways to go with s13, maybe they do start engaging with the themes they've hinted at more. I've liked how they've discussed Dean's depression which has been present in the show for a long time (s7 dealt with it a lot), and I also liked how in 13x04 Sam blew up with his feelings about how he felt that he didn't have a connection with Mary and his desperation for that is part of why he (rightly) has hope that Mary's still alive. The alternate universe where they don't exist also gives room to explore their places in their own world.
Idk I think there's lots of room to build on their characters even after thirteen seasons. I just hope that they go with what they have and stay grounded in how things inform their relationships instead of going for the flashy "wow look how cool/grand in scale this is!" choices like they did in s12.

Helloooo ^o^ I have a writing question! Do you ever plan out a series then get so excited you write a whole scene/chapter before it's time? Like the biggest action sequence or the biggest plot twist and would you recommend doing so?
Secondly, for moc have you fleshed out the ending, like do you know how it's going to end? And if not at what point will you decide to do so? Bc I'm planning a fic I haven't planned out the ending for but I really want to start writing it! And tbf I'm not at all sure how it's going to end
Ooh and also (pls tell me if I'm being annoying) when you were planning out moc characters, did they seem to mold themselves a certain way automatically? like I didn't want my character or my story to go in this direction but really it's the best way or the only option to write it this way!
And lastly do you have any advice for new writers? Much appreciated!!!
Also the most recent moc I AM BARELY BREATHING the hongjoong scene I cannot see straight I am too in my head about him ughhh JUST ONE CHANCE I BEG no but I looooove your writing so much 😌 take good care of yourself my dear caly ❤️❤️
oh absolutely ALWAYS!! i do that so so often, i have one of the final scenes of moc written and tucked away in a google doc for when the time finally comes 😭 in fact i very often construct my scenes around an idea that i have and i'll write out a whole scene if i feel really excited about it!! i totally recommend it, i recommend that you write whatever comes to your mind without stopping to edit or anything and just leave that bit for later. write whatever is in your brain and let it all out then you can go back after the fact and edit and make changes as you see fit! it's best to just,, let it rip i think
secondly, i have not fully fleshed out the ending. atm (and kinda since the beginning) i have had two ideas for the ending that are quite different so i guess you could say i have a vague-ish idea in that sense. i will definitely need to decide which way things go around act 12/13 i think? 14 at the LATEST. i'm not the best person about ending things tho bc i fear ending things period but i think it's always a good thing to think about while still in the planning stages bc that will help you figure out how you want to get from point A to point B!
honestly when i was initially structuring the characters i think i wrote 1-2 pages worth of character notes for each one, but when i finally started writing, things kinda just took their own course. now when i look back at those character notes, things are vastly different and there are only some minor bits/backstory notes that are still the same kkkk so yeah they molded themselves just with the writing as i went!! there are definitely things in retrospect i wish were different but honestly i don't want the characters themselves to be different from what they have made themselves become im happy in that regard ^-^
my advice to new writers is to simply not be afraid to write for yourself. i spent probably 8-9 years writing just for myself and i never posted anything and it was all simply for me but even just having that experience of constantly writing, constantly reading, constantly growing my writing in all sorts of avenues was something that really helped when i did find the courage to start posting my writing here on tumblr!
thank you so much for asking me so many questions i hope my advice can help even just a little bit and im sOOO so thankful that you enjoy moc so much hehe i love seeing people engrossed with hongjoong :3 take care of yourself too beloved 💕💕💕💕💕💕

It was a kiss.
It was desperate and hard. Cas could taste the salt of tears in his mouth but it was a kiss. Then he felt a stab to his chest, it made him gasp but he didn't pull away. He held on tighter to the back of his neck and kept the kiss going. He knew he was already dead, nothing he could do to change that but at least he could pretend that the sloppy kiss was given out of love. Hope that the next one would be softer. Pretend that there is a next one.
"Cas? Oh...oh gosh. Cas! What did I-?!"
It was a kiss.
"Cas!"
It was a wonderful kiss.

Awesome I’m glad I found it!! It’s such an interesting story and I love the way Freeman adapted so much of the Doctor Who lore to fit into without any concerns of copyright dispute!! I really need to do a second listen so I can pick up on more than my first time.
Shame to hear it didn’t get the funding! I would’ve adored seeing how they visualized the way the Minister travels. Good to know he has plans for more though, it’s a super intriguing character and I’d love to see more from it! I particularly enjoy the way he balances the science fiction and fantasy vibes that it has.
Yeah I really love how naturally in conversation with Death Comes to Time it feels while doing a lot of great groundwork for building its world around the Minister as a lead. Personally like to think the not-time lords as the sorta, defrocked clergy of Freeman's Time Lords. Clinging on beyond the end of their time simply by being removed from their position. Has a nice bit of overlap with the EDA elemental stuff as well which is nice. I'll have a root around and see if I can find any of the old promo material on my old computer when I can get a chance, pretty sure I had a folder full of stuff. They did a faux local news front page that presents a slightly different picture of what the audio series could have been irc, and there was a short video of the Minister fighting a knight that came out to advertise the first episode, its where most of the photos of Wadham in costume came from. If you're looking for fiction with a similar vibe, I'd highly recommend The Morgaine Stories by C.J. Cherryh. Lot of overlap with MoC, dealing with the adventures of a time traveller from a hyper advanced culture travelling through various low fantasy worlds shutting down gates that allow travel between them in a bid to prevent a total collapse of all history.

White women are notorious for using their positions as white women in society to incarcerate/kill moc(something anon would know if they educated themselves), but oh yeah, moc TOTALLY have privilege over white women
literally all white women have to do is cry and everybody (black) involved is going to jail and is going on trial, they know they have the upper hand

Together we can get through anything
Summary:
Mobius has just stolen the Tempad from Ravonna and discovers the truth about the TVA. He goes to visit Loki's Timecell ready to do anything to be forgiven.
___________
I keep trying to explore Lokius throughout the episodes. And if many people seem to be desperate after the last episode, I am not, so let me give you the content you deserve. My faith in Lokius has not moved an inch. And Marvel won't change that. They deserve each other. They deserve to be happy together. And here they will be.

He went to hide between two shelves in the archives, pretending to look for files, and turned on the Tempad
He quickly found what he was looking for, the debriefing of the C-20 mission. He pressed play.
When the screen opened to show C-20 talking, it only took Mobius a few seconds to see that she wasn't crazy like Ravonna had claimed.
"You're not hearing me. I was there. This was real, what I saw. This is a place that I've been."
Mobius looked over his shoulder quickly and returned to the video.
"This wasn't the TVA. This was a memory. I lived down there. I went to that bar. I had friends. I had a whole life on the Sacred Timeline."
Mobius didn't want to believe it, but in the face of all that was being revealed to him, how could he not?
On the video, the interrogator told C-20 to calm down.
She retorted forcefully, "Calm down? I'm a Variant. So are you. So is every single person in this place."
"I'm ending this," it was the voice of Ravonna whose face then appeared on the screen and then staring at it, she turned it off.
It was all a lie. All variants. All stolen lives.
Among the thoughts that swirled in his head, one began to emerge, a single name.
Loki.
Loki had been right. Loki had not lied to him. Or hardly ever. Not where it mattered.
Suddenly, mixed with the elation he felt, came a sense of shame. He had gained Loki's fragile trust and at the first hurdle he had reacted like all the others who had not believed in Loki before him. Just because he was jealous. Because he had seen the complicity between Loki and the Variant, Sylvie.
For the first time in his work, his feelings had been stronger than his reason, and the way Loki had lashed out to defend her had deeply upset Mobius.
He had been cruel. Even if she really had been Loki's girlfriend, it was cruel to make him believe that she was dead. Even for the purpose of gaining information.
He had seen Loki in the Time Cell admit that he deserved to be alone, while Mobius had done everything to convince him otherwise before their disastrous parting in the supermarket.
And what had Mobius told him in the end?
"Wherever you go, it's just death, destruction, the literal ends of worlds. Well, I'm gonna have to close this case now, 'cause I don't need you anymore. Yeah, or as you might say, our interests are no longer aligned."
Loki had looked so hurt at that moment, and had said to him as the guards were taking him away, "You know, of all the liars in this place, and there are a great many, you're the biggest."
Mobius had asked him, sneering, "Why? Cause I lied about your girlfriend?"
Loki had just replied, seriously, "Oh, no. That I can respect. I mean, the lies you tell yourself."
He hadn't looked back once this time before walking through the door of the Time Cell.
As he made his way to a safe place to open a Timedoor to the Time Cell, he figured he would have a lot to make up for this time.
As he walked through the door, he found himself facing Loki who looked agitated.
He immediately asked him. "What are you doing?"
"Passing the time." Loki answered ironically.
Because Mobius couldn't help it, because the memory of the jealousy he had experienced was too strong, he asked without transition, "Do you care about this variant?"
Loki answered him directly, rushing the words as usual, "Sylvie? I'm not sure if caring is the right word. We've covered this back in there."
Mobius interrupted him by shouting, "Shut up!" he paused to calm himself, he was not there to blame Loki, he asked sincerely, "Do you really think you deserve to be alone?"
Seeing that Loki didn't answer, he called out, "Loki!"
The cheeky bastard replied, "You told me to shut up." Since when did he do what Mobius told him? Mobius repeated his question, "Do you believe you deserve to be alone?"
Loki, annoyed, replied, "I don't know."
"You better figure it out quick, because the nexus event the two of you caused, whatever that connection is, can bring this whole place down. So we better understand…"
"We"?
Mobius' heart sank at the way Loki said " we ". Because Mobius had made any possibility of a we vanish by withdrawing his trust from Loki. Loki's disbelief this time was entirely his own fault.
He asked Loki urgently, "Do you swear she didn't implant those memories in Hunter C-20?"
Loki didn't hesitate a moment before answering, "Mobius, no. I believe her!"
"So, I just have to trust the word of two Lokis?" Mobius answered rhetorically because the trust he had in Loki had risen from the ashes and even if he doubted the variant, he now knew that his trust in Loki was total.
"How about the word of a friend?"
Mobius gasped at the words he didn't expect in Loki's mouth.
Then he exhaled softly. Loki called himself his friend. Mobius still had the right to be his friend. Their bond was not broken.
So even if Loki's friendship it was the only thing he would get. If that was the only thing Loki would offer him, then he would accept it. He would cherish it, he would fight for it. He would be the loyal friend that Loki deserved.
He continued urgently, wanting to prove to Loki that his trust was real, "You were right, about the TVA. You were right from the beginning. And if you wanna save her, you need to trust me. Can we do that?"
He needed to hear Loki say it, to confirm that the trust between them was back, maybe not like before, but that it was there.
"Yes."
Once again a straightforward answer, without embellishment. A simple yes that said everything, that told the truth.
Mobius sighed with relief, "Okay."
He couldn't dwell on everything he'd said before, on all his false assertions dictated by ugly jealousy, disappointment and feelings of betrayal.
That's why he added, in an insistent tone, wanting to convince Loki with all his heart, "You could be whoever, whatever you wanna be, even someone good."
Loki looked at him, his eyes full of emotion, the same look he had had when Mobius had told him that he did not consider him a villain. The dawning hope of someone who didn't dare to believe it. Then Mobius continued to convince Loki at all costs, smiling sheepishly, "I mean, just in case anyone ever told you different."
Loki's smile, a smile that Mobius had never seen on his face before, was the best reward he could have received. A sense of mutual absolution, a feeling of shared respect, and perhaps something more that Mobius refused to name because he felt he had no right to.
He was walking towards the Timedoor when he felt himself being pulled back by Loki who had grabbed his sleeve.
"Mobius, wait!"
He turned back to Loki who was still holding him by the sleeve.
"What? Is there something wrong?"
Loki exclaimed, "Is there something wrong? Is there something wrong?!" he ran his hand through his hair with frustration, "I'm not the one who was just told that his whole life, what he was fighting for, the world he lived in, was a lie! Believe me I know what that feels like! So it's me asking you, how are YOU Mobius?"
At that moment Mobius became aware of the extent of what he had just discovered, of what it meant for him.He put his hand to his chest, his breathing quickened and a cold sweat ran down his body.
He heard Loki's voice as if in the distance and felt vaguely that the man was helping him to sit on the ground with his head between his legs.
Little by little, encouraged by Loki, he found regular breathing.
Loki put his hand on his arm, gently, as if not to frighten him.
"Mobius, I need to know, first if you can you close the timedoor and then, how time is passing here?"
Mobius closed the door and replied, "In this cell, it's like time doesn't flow outside, so no matter how long we spend here, it will take Ravonna and the Hunters a little while to find us."
"Good."
After a few moments of silence, Mobius spoke up, "You know what torments me the most now that I know? I wonder if I am real. Is what I've experienced real? And was what I believe or have believed in, real for a moment?"
Loki answered him softly, "You are real, just as I am real." seeing the distress in which Mobius found himself, he continued, "And if you don't believe me, I will show you what is real to me if you will let me." He just put two fingers on Mobius' temple without pressing, waiting for his answer. Mobius nodded.
A small green light connected Loki's fingers with Mobius' head.
Mobius saw sequences in his head racing by, as if he were moving from one room to another at full speed.
Mobius held out his hand to help Loki up.
Mobius remembered that moment of course, but the emotions were not his own, it was as if he was in Loki's head.
This time Loki didn't hesitate to take it. Once on his feet, he didn't want to let go of that hand, the only non-violent human contact he'd had in years. He didn't even realize that he was tightening his fingers on Mobius'.
He asked the question that had been burning in his mind, "If I'm not the villain, then what am I?"
They still hadn't let go of each other's hands and now Mobius' thumb was gently stroking the back of Loki's hand.
Mobius tilted his head a little, seeking Loki's gaze even more.
He said with that smile that Loki was beginning to appreciate, "I don't know, but we could search together, if you want."
Loki nodded slowly and answered with a slight smile.
Next scene.
"Oh once again, shut up!"
Loki replied with a mocking smile on his lips, "Make me."
It was as if a dam broke in Mobius.
He grabbed Loki's tie to pull him to him and before the god had time to wonder what he was doing, Mobius leaned in and placed his lips against Loki's.
Their first kiss in the elevator…
Next scene.
Mobius spoke with difficulty, still out of breath, "Later," he said, "We'll continue this later, I promise. We'll have to talk. But we really don't have time right now."
Loki nodded, and placed one last kiss on Mobius' lips before they parted, their reluctance more than obvious.
Seeing the uncertainty return to Loki's gaze, Mobius took his chin and said firmly with his eyes in his head, "Loki, I'm serious, we really will continue later. I swear I'm not playing, okay?"
Loki scrutinized him for a few seconds before nodding again and answering with that familiar mischievous grin, « Ok, let's go catch whoever thinks they are me."
Then he pushed Mobius forward and they went on their way.
Their second kiss... in the archive room.
Next scene.
Loki nodded but said nothing. He gently withdrew his hand and put his collar back on. Seeing that he was reluctant to speak, Mobius turned fully toward him and pulled him by the sleeve until he was standing between Mobius' knees.
Mobius remembered, it was the day when Loki had taken care of him, had given him the illusion of being on a jetski and then in return Mobius had shown Loki what he would want on a first date.
Looking at Loki from below, Mobius asked gently, "Loki, speak to me."
Loki replied just as softly, "Is this the kind of thing you like, the kind of thing you'd like to do...with me?"
"We could start with that after this whole thing is over, what do you say? Ah unless there's a rule that says gods don't date?" asked Mobius, raising an eyebrow.
Spreading his arms, a mischievous smile on his face, Loki said with his trademark emphasis, "Hey, I'm Loki, the god of mischief, since when do I follow rules?
Quickly checking behind his shoulder that no one was there, Mobius pulled Loki's head to his own with a gentle tug on his tie and proceeded to wipe the arrogant smile from Loki's lips in the only way he knew to be effective.
Next scene.
"Oh no Loki, I never wanted you to think you were a villain, I wanted you to see that you were not the one you insist on parading to the world."
Loki protested, "But you told me I was born to cause pain and suffering and death. That's how it is, that's how it was, that's how it will be. All so that others can achieve their best versions of themselves. "
"Yes, I told you that not because I think that's what you are, I was just showing you that that's what you were limiting yourself to because you yourself think you're only capable of that. Because you want to rule so badly, that you don't see that you are made for bigger things. You asked me to trust you yesterday. I did it because Loki I have faith in you and since you've been here you keep proving it. In your own way. Because you are undoubtedly the god of mischief. Unique. Not. A. Villain."
Mobius took his chin and placed a kiss on his forehead before standing up.
Their last moment together before the Alabama mission.
Loki gently removed his fingers from Mobius' head.
"Mobius, to me this was all real, everything we said to each other, everything that happened between us. It was probably the most real I've experienced in a long time."
Loki took her head in his hands and kissed her forehead, then whispered, "You. Are. Real. Mobius." then he kissed him gently, almost chastely before pulling back a little while still holding Mobius' head in his hands.
Mobius looked amazed and asked him a little hesitantly, "After everything that's happened, you would be willing to give me another chance?"
"Huh?" asked Loki, looking surprised, "What are you talking about?"
"I'm talking about the fact that at the first opportunity, I preferred to believe the worst rather than you, I let you down cowardly, blinded by the feeling betrayal and jealousy while I was the one who betrayed your trust "
Loki shook his head fondly.
"Oh Mobius, believe me I am a master of betrayal, low blow and jealousy. I never expected you to be perfect. After all, I tried to betray you at the first opportunity too. There are so many other parameters that we didn't know and still don't know. It's not about giving you another chance, it's about giving us another chance. So let's not waste it and let's make it something beautiful and good."
Loki stood up, and this time it was he who reached out to Mobius and helped him to his feet.
In an echo of a few days ago, it was he who gently stroked the back of Mobius' hand that he had kept in his own.
Mobius looked deeply into Loki's eyes again and asked him with a slightly hoarse voice, "If this is all fake, then who am I really?"
Loki replied with a smile, "We'll search together."
"Yes, yes, that I can do. " answered Mobius with a tightened throat.
Then he could not resist the impulse, the desire that was deep inside him since they had caught Loki and Sylvie.
He hugged Loki, the face in his hair, and, happy to find familiar sensations, he whispered into Loki's neck, "I'm so glad you're back safe and sound. You can't even imagine how much I missed you."
Loki tightened his arms around him and they stayed like that for a few seconds before pulling apart.
Mobius, opened a Timedoor and looked at Loki who nodded.
They crossed the door side by side, together, for all time, always.
