The What If. We all have them. They sneak up on you whenever you least expect it. You are rendered powerless by them. They left you feeling more anxious than you ever have before. Whenever this happened, the same person would appear again. Yelena. Yelena Belova has left you with more What Ifs than anyone else. She would be smug if she knew how much time you spent thinking about her.
For as long as you can remember, Natasha has been your best friend. Natasha was closely followed by Yelena wherever she went. Initially, you and Yelena clashed constantly. It was her way or no way. You didn't notice the change between you both. When you first met, you used to roll your eyes at one another but now it had changed to gentle smiles at each other in passing. While Natasha thought you and Yelena were finally getting along, you knew there was much more to it.
It was impossible not to stare whenever she walked into the room. Her smile was contagious, and her gentle laugh was a comforting sound for you now. You didn't hear it that often, which was unfortunate. Despite her openness when it came to sharing her opinions, she was quiet when it came to how she felt about other people. This included you. She was always so closed off. You wished she wasn't.
It was unclear how things stood with Yelena now. The tension between the two of you, however, was always there. Something unspeakable. Continuously building to a boiling point, it was threatening to explode. Whenever you met her in passing, you'd catch how she looked at you, and well, it made you melt. She would often message you on Instagram. Every time she sent you a message, you'd be lying if you said you weren't excited.
There were times when they were the simplest things. She might just be asking about your day. Through the screen, you knew she was sincerely interested in what you had to say. She would send voice messages explaining her day, and you couldn't help but swoon when you heard her voice. You could never admit that to her. Maybe you were overthinking this? It wasn't exactly possible to have a relationship with your best friend's sister.
There was a plan for you to spend the night over at Natasha's. You were supposed to be going to a party, but it changed last minute. It was impossible to say no to her when she asked to get together to study. It wasn't a secret that Yelena planned on attending the party tonight too. She mentioned it several times to you over text.
There was no way you could get it out of your head. What If you had gone? You would have had some alone time with Yelena. Is that what you really wanted? Would you be able to trust yourself? You've made up your mind, stop it. Regardless, you won't be going. Initially, it had been a horrible night. The rain hadn't stopped and the cheap umbrella you carried couldn't keep from collapsing when the wind blew. Every time you promised yourself, you'd buy a new one, you didn't.
It served you well, only managed to dampen you a little bit. Natasha wasn't home yet when you arrived. You had received a message earlier saying she was running late and would get you something to eat on her way. The key was hidden in the plant pot, so you let yourself in. After ascending the stairs and making your way down the hallway to Natasha's room, you heard faint music playing. It stopped you in your tracks, leaving you wondering where it came from. You knew the song. Crimson and Clover. As soon as you heard it, you knew it was coming from Yelena's room. She must have forgot to turn it off.
You approached Yelena's room; you noticed the door was slightly open. You didn't hesitate to enter. The room was being lit by a lamp in the corner, she must have forgot to turn that off too. She must have been in a rush to leave the house. Your eyes met the source of the music. Her vinyl player in the corner of the room, the same one Natasha got her for Christmas. Your eyes were drawn to the spinning vinyl as you made your way over to it. You were about to switch it off when you suddenly heard a noise behind you. It was a quiet gasp.
You were startled, you glanced over your shoulder to the source of the noise. Yelena. It was hard not to notice what she was wearing. In a short red dress with a figure-tight fit, she looked stunning. You both stood on opposite sides of the room in silence, it felt like forever but in reality, only a few seconds had passed. You watched as her chest heaved in, she looked like she was holding her breath. Why? Her green eyes weren't on you for once. They were focused on the ground. She wouldn't even look at you.
Her face looked tense; she was chewing on her bottom lip. What had happened? You decided you were going to break the silence, but she must have had the same idea. You both spoke at the exact same time
"Hi"
"Hi." The second it happened; you heard a quiet laugh release from her lips. In an accidental lift of her eyes, her gaze met yours.  The sound of her voice was raspy, as if she was worn out. Her lips parted ever so slightly, and her face instantly relaxed. The blush on her cheeks was instantaneous. Her eye contact with you lasted longer than she would have liked. Even if it was just for a moment, she let down her walls. Upon entering the room, she rolled her eyes at you, biting the corner of her lip as she rubbed her wet hair.
"You don't like my music?"
"Who doesn't like Crimson and Clover? I just didn't think you'd be home."
"Not happy to see me then?"
"No, no! I- didn't mean that. I-"
"No? So you aren't happy to see me?" She interrupted you, raising her eyebrows. You were being teased by her. Of course, you bit despite knowing better. She was the cat, and you were the mouse.
"Stop teasing me!"
"I thought you liked it."
"You're doing it again."
"Doing what?"
"God, I hate you. You're so annoying, I swear" A chuckle escaped your lips as you glanced down at the Vinyl player. A slight adjustment to the volume was made as you leaned up against her dresser. Your mind was torn between leaving and staying. You were too busy lost in thought to have seen Yelena's expression. When you looked up at her, she was frowning at you.
"You don't hate me."
"Maybe I do."
"I know you don't" There was such a sense of seriousness in her voice. You weren't sure whether she was trying to prove it to you or to herself. She did something that was unusual for her.  A subtle thing caught your attention. She was fiddling with the fabric of her dress. All the time, she seemed so carefree. What made her anxious? She never was. It seemed to have hit a nerve with her, so you changed the topic.
"How was the party? I just wasn't expecting to see you tonight and you're so wet." The second the words left your mouth. Yelena raised her eyebrow up with you, a dirty smile crossing her lips as her eyes didn't leave you. You felt your body tense up under her gaze. You had stepped right into that one. Every move you made was scrutinized by her as she leaned against the door.
"You're acting like that's a bad thing."
"I was talking about your clothes"
"I wasn't" Yelena released a soft chuckle. You could feel your stomach tighten. There is a flush of red on your cheeks right away. You hated that she had that much control over you. As she approached you, you held your breath as she brushed up against you softly making her way to sit on the window still. Her favourite place to sit was there, especially when it rained. She rested her head against the glass, her eyes drooped as she looked at you. You'd love to know what she was thinking right now.
"You're blushing."
"I'm not."
"Are too"
"Quit it"
"Do you really want me to stop?" She almost said it in a whisper, her eyes slowly tracing your face for a reaction. You shook your head, bringing your attention to something else. Anything else.
"Why did you come home so early?"
"Just felt like it."
"Unlike you."
"I just wasn't feeling it."
"I feel like there's more to that then you're letting me know" As you heard her release a sigh, you murmured under your breath. Looking out the window, she focused her attention on the raindrops. Despite the faint music playing, the sound of the rain beating against the glass was louder.
"I got all dressed up and for what? I mean. Sure. It was a party, and all parties are the same but I just..." A look of regret flashed across her face as she shared that with you. She began twisting a ring on her finger. You sat down beside her on the window still, a gap between you both. She didn't look at you, not once. You could feel it in the silence.
"You just?" You added, you wanted her to talk. You wanted to hear what she had to say.
"Nothing." She shrugged her shoulders at you weakly. The walls you thought were gone, were built sky high.
"How about we play a game?"
"A game?" Yelena lifted her head up where you could finally see her green eyes up close. You could feel yourself beginning to melt.
"I think you need a cheering up and what's more fun than me beating you."
"Oh please. You're on! I win every time."
"You sure about that?"
"Absolutely positive."
"Cocky."
"Pick a game then"
"Any game?"
"Any game."
"Truth or dare. First one to pull out, loses."
"That's easy. I never pull out." Yelena was smug, she always was. You wanted to wipe that look off her face. You wished you could say she was lying but Yelena always won. The only time you ever did was if she let you. It started off extremely reserved for dares. You knew she was building up to making you lose. You both didn't hesitate between the truths and dares. However, Yelena had been asking you too many truths. You noticed. She was enjoying asking you questions that you simply couldn't get out of answering. She was trying to figure you out.
"I dare you to tell me what's your biggest fear?" She questioned. She observed your every movement, she didn't want to miss a thing. You had forgot music was still playing at this stage. You were twirling a loose strand of your hair around your finger, lost in thought.
"You can't do that!"
"Said who?"
"Ugh. I guess falling." You finally managed to say. She slowly titled her head to the side at you, her eyes craving for you to elaborate on your answer.
"Falling?"
"Don't make fun of me."
"No no, I'm not. I'm just curious!"
"I don't know! It sounds stupid now!"
"No! It doesn't. Trust me. It doesn't. You're talking about falling in love, right?"
"Oh god, don't say it like that. That makes it seem so serious. I answered it, we are moving"
"I want you to keep talking"
"Yelena-"
"Please?" Her voice was soft, she was pleading with you to continue.
"I don't know. The whole thing about falling, you know? I just. It's terrifying. You don't know it's happening before it's too late. You're just totally vulnerable and out of control. I hate losing control. There's nothing you can do beside let yourself fall. It's too late to stop it. No matter how much you try to prevent it, it just happens."
"Sometimes people don't break your heart, they'll break your fall."
"That's poetic."
"It's the only thing going for me."
"Oh please. You just need to look in a mirror"
"Is that a compliment?"
"Maybe."
"I'll remember that."
My turn, Belova. Truth or dare?"
"Dare, obviously." You dared her to make a prank call. She was busy trying to keep in character, but you couldn't help but stare at her during it. When she caught sight of your eyes, she began to stumble over her words. You loved how her lips pulled up into a smile, how she threw her head back like a little kid laughing when the call ended. She didn't realize how beautiful she was as she sat there, soaked through her dress and her wet, wavy hair running down her shoulders.
"Well, Krasivo. Truth or dare?"
"I'm going to say dare. You've been going easy on me. I know you have. I thought you would've pulled out all the stops to win."
"Oh? You think I'm going easy on you?"
"Of course, you are."
"Okay then. I dare you to kiss me." She didn't even hesitate. You blinked; you couldn't believe she had just said that. Did she? Maybe you misheard. The way she looked at you said it all. Her green eyes slowly travelled from your eyes, tracing down your face until it met your lips. Her lips began to slowly pull up into a wide smile, she was giving you a toothy grin.
"Checkmate. I win." She whispered. You could feel your stomach beginning to twist and turn. You could feel your throat tighten. She turned her head from you to look out the window, her big smug smile on her face. You hated that. It was a friendly game of Truth or dare. It meant nothing.
"What were you saying about beating me this time-"
"Hey."
"What?" She questioned, turning her head back to look at you. It wasn't expected that you would speak to her. The gap between you two was filled by you moving over to her. Yelena's body tensed up as you were so close to her. The What If was in your head again. What If she was only joking? What If she hated it? Fuck the What If. Just kiss her.
"What are you- "Before she could complete her sentence, your lips touched hers. It happened so quickly. It was all you could manage. If you kept your lips against hers longer, you feared you would not be able to stop. In utter shock, Yelena blinked rapidly while her face turned red. Her gaze was fixed on you.
"I- I... Dare. Just dare me" Yelena uttered, rubbing her cheeks with her knuckles.
"Um.. I dare you to tell me why you came home from the party earlier." The colour began to drain from Yelena's face as you abruptly spoke. Something you'd never seen before filled her eyes, worry. There was a long pause in the silence that followed her. The music could be heard again before she answered.
"I was expecting you to be there." She admitted. Her hand raised up to her forehead, carefully rubbing it as her eyebrows creased.
"Me?"
"I got all dressed up to see you. It sounds so stupid now that I say it out loud because God, how pathetic is that? If Nat could hear me right now. Imagine what she'd say." In order not to hesitate again, she spoke quickly. As soon as she said it, she looked at you. A worried expression on her face, her eyes flickering into yours in search of an answer. Any answer.
"You did all that for me?"
"Of course, I do. Everything I always do is for you. I just wanted you to see me how I see you."
"And how's that?"
"Krasivaya" Under her breath, she whispered. You had never seen this side of her before. Yelena had become accustomed to getting what she wants whenever she wants, the confident one. From the moment she saw you standing in her bedroom, there was a lot of uncertainty around her.
"Beautiful." She translated. It was impossible to stop the smile from forming on your face.
"You're funny."
"Why?"
"You're beautiful, El. You always have been." There was no way you could believe this was real. The thought of telling her all this made you feel sick to your stomach.
"You know I still won Truth or Dare." Taking a moment to look at her hands, she fiddled with her fingers while smiling softly.
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"I kissed you. We're even"
"That wasn't a kiss. This is a kiss." With her hand raised, she slowly ran her finger tips over the side of your cheek as she spoke firmly. With such tenderness, she presses the palm of her warm hand against your cheek. To get closer to her, her free hand reached into the neck of your t-shirt and pulled the collar down.
Slowly, she pressed her lips against yours, making your lips burn. She moved her lips in harmony with yours. You adjusted yourself and wrapped your arms loosely around her neck, slowly entangling your fingers in the strands of her blonde hair that you pulled. As soon as you did, you felt her body pressing up against yours in need. She lets out a soft moan, encouraging you to keep pulling.
"I wouldn't do that if I was you."
"Why? What are you going to do about it?"
"I'll show you." You smiled against her lips. Her words said one thing, but her body said another. Dropping her hands from your cheeks, releasing her lips from yours, she still climbed up off the window. After a curious look from you, she slowly bent down in front of you as panic set in. She gave you a look that could almost kill.
Her sudden movement made you squeal as she grabbed you in her arms. As she pushed you up against the cold window, your body jolted as the cold shocked you. As soon as it happened, you pushed straight up against Yelena. As your body struggled between her warm body and the cold window, you knew which you preferred. Her.
"Good girl" A hushed voice echoed her words. She wasn't the one to lean in. It was you. She felt your lips on her instantly as you wrapped your arms tightly around her neck. Your lips were hungrily kissing hers. It wasn't clear where this would go, but God, you didn't want it to end. The clothes she was wearing were still damp. The reason you realized she didn't get out of her wet red dress was because she was didn't want to stop talking to you.
"God, El. I want to be yours." She smiled in response to your whining against her lips. After lifting you off the window, she carried you over to her bed and gently laid you down.
"You are mine" She corrected you. As she climbed on top of you, she tightly wrapped your legs around her waist. You were going to take advantage of this opportunity. Playfully, you flipped her over, resulting in you being on top. As she relaxed beneath you, you watched. You were the focus of her intense gaze. Slowly, you ran your hands along the thin fabric of her dress. You were craving her.
"That's cute." Your eyes met hers with curiosity as she commented.
"What's cute?" You questioned. She flipped you back over without any ease. Her performance was so effortless. You had taken control for a short time, but that was gone now. You were exactly where she wanted you. Your wrists were pushed over your head as she leant in close to you. She was so close you could feel her hot breath against yours.
"That you think you can be on top." Her eyes remained fixed on her as she spoke. Your wrists were released from her hard grip. As you furiously pulled on the fabric of her dress, you knew exactly what you wanted. You wanted to feel her skin against yours. Unbeknownst to you. Yelena was about to remove her dress when the bedroom door was pushed open further. From the door, there was a loud splat sound. Both of you froze. As you pushed up on your elbows, you looked at what caused it.
"What the fuck." After being shocked, Natasha dropped the Chinese she had been carrying, spilling it everywhere. Astonished, she stood in the doorway. Her sister and her best friend.
"Not the noodles." Yelena whined.

Marry Me
Tumblr media
Summary: Once upon a time, you dreamed of marrying your girlfriend of two years but she broke up with you before you had the chance to ask her for her hand. Now with a wedding invitation in your hand, she's getting married but she's not marrying you.
Pairings: Past!Wanda Maximoff x reader, Yelena Belova x reader
Warnings: mention of cheating, angst with a happy ending, modern AU, no powers/Avengers, Starks aren't dead and decent parents lol
Word Count: 4.4k
‘Together with their families Wanda and Vision invite you to their wedding,’ the world around you seemed to become white noise. You didn’t hear your roommate talk about some guy that stood her up or the weatherman talking about the weather. Nothing else seemed to matter. “Are you listening to me?” No, you weren’t. That’s what you wanted to say but you stayed frozen, unable to speak. Sarah snatched the invitation out of your hand. You didn’t bother to stop her. “No fucking way this bitch invited you to her wedding,” Sarah had strong feelings about the ending of your relationship with Wanda. She had every right to be upset as she was the one to mend the broken pieces. “Are you going?”
“Fuck Sarah I don’t know,” you glanced at the time on the stove. “And I do not have time for this.” You were supposed to have a quick lunch at home and then return to the office for a meeting with important investors. Being blindsided by an invite to your ex-girlfriend’s wedding was something you didn’t have time for. “I have to go. Just leave it on the fridge,” you grabbed your backpack. Lunch was a protein bar and a banana.
“Hey, dumbass,” you stopped at the door, turning to face your roommate. “I love you.” You rolled your eyes.
“Love you too, dumbass.” You walked out of your apartment, not bothering with the elevator. It was a beautiful sunny day, a stark contrast to the emotions that were swirling inside of you. Once upon a time, you dreamed of marrying Wanda. You were together for 2 years and knew every detail of how she wanted the wedding to be. It would be out in the country, not too many people to save on money. Maybe on an apple orchard or magnolia trees surrounding the ceremony. You would have given her everything, no matter the cost, and you were looking at rings to buy. Then she broke up with you. It was rather sudden, out of the blue, and she never gave you a good enough explanation. She told you that she fell out of love with you. A month later, she and Vision started dating. Sarah figured she was cheating on you. You couldn’t stomach that possibility.
“Nice of you to finally show up,” Tony said as the elevator’s door opened to his office. You rolled your eyes and sat down in the empty chair in front of his desk. You gave Pepper a small smile.
“I’m technically early,” you opened the protein bar. “I got distracted at home.” Tony sent a questioning look to his wife.
“Do you want-?”
“No,” you cut him off. “Let’s begin.” You got out your tablet and the meeting began without a second thought. You were the Chief Entrepreneur of Stark Industries. Your parents were close friends with the Starks and you and Tony grew up together. He was the brother you never had. So when Howard stepped down as Executive Chairman, Tony took over and promoted Pepper to CEO and you to Chief Entrepreneur. You were responsible for managing a portfolio of entrepreneurs. Your team was the future of Stark Industries, taking on risks and coming up with new products while Pepper ran the company. You didn’t envy her job and you loved working here. It was the best part of your day. However, it got uncomfortable and awkward when you had to deal with the CFO, who happened to be Vision and Tony’s brother.
They weren’t related by blood but you knew that made no difference, you were close with Natasha and Yelena. Howard and Maria adopted Vision when you and Tony were in high school. He was two years younger than you. You remembered the day when Vision and Wanda announced their relationship so clearly. Tony dragged you into his office and asked if you wanted him to fire Vision and kick his ass. You told him that it wasn’t necessary. You were professional and respectful with the man. It was rare that your paths crossed. You only had to be in the same room as him during company-wide meetings or meetings with investors. Of course, you had one today. The universe was testing you.
Once Tony concluded the meeting, you and Pepper left his office. It was rare that he came to these types of meetings as he trusted you and Pepper to make the right calls regarding the company. You both stopped to make a quick coffee. “Can I ask you something?” She nodded. “Are you helping Wanda with her wedding?”
“She’s asked me for some advice here and there,” she looked at you curiously. “Why?”
“Do you know why she invited me then?” In hindsight, you probably should have waited for the CEO to not be taking a sip of her coffee before dropping the news. She coughed, choking on the hot liquid. You bite your lip, trying to get your laughter under control, and rubbed her back to help her calm down. “Sorry.” You giggled. She waved you off and wiped her mouth with a napkin.
“It’s fine,” she cleared her throat. “She invited you to her wedding.” You nodded as you continued on your way to the board room.
“I got the invitation today,” you said. “It was why I was late, kind of took me by surprise.” You took a sip of your coffee.
“Shit, I don’t blame you,” you giggled. You loved Pepper. She was a perfect fit for Tony. She was the only one that could reel in your brother’s energy. “Are you going to go?” You didn’t answer. “Tony is Vision’s best man and I know Wanda asked Natasha to be her maid of honor.” You weren’t surprised by that. Natasha was the reason Wanda was part of your workgroup and how you met her. The redhead held onto a lot of guilt because of what happened. You didn’t blame her.
“Not sure, Pep. We will see,” you saw Yelena and Natasha waiting for you and you quickened your pace. Natasha was the Chief of Staff and the first person you hired when you got promoted. She helped you manage executive goals and you trusted her to oversee projects you didn’t have time for. You worried when your relationship ended with Wanda your friendship would the redhead was going to be jeopardized. It wasn’t and a huge weight was lifted off your shoulders. “Are you ready?” You asked Yelena when you got closer. The blonde was the reason you were having the meeting. She was a new hire but there was no limit to the ideas she had. Her latest project would partner Stark Industries with Wakandans International to develop a better prosthetic.
“I think I’m going to throw up,” her Russian accent took you by surprise when you first met her as Natasha introduced her as her sister. You laughed, shaking your head.
“Don’t be nervous,” she gave you a pointed look. “Come here,” you dragged her away from her sister and Pepper to a more private area. “You are going to kill it today. Do you know why?” She shook her head. “Because you have a passionate for this project on a level I’ve never seen before,” she began to smile. “And you have the support of everyone at this company, okay?”
“Okay,” you smiled.
“Just go in there and speak with the same passion you had when you explained it to me and you’ll do great.”
“Thank you. I appreciate you having some much faith in me,” you put your hand on her shoulder and squeezed it.
“No need to thank me,” you brought her back over to her sister with her hand still on her shoulder. You didn’t miss the questioning look the redhead sent you and you removed your hand quickly. “Shall we?” You opened the door for your group and everyone found their seats to wait for the others.
The meeting went…okay. You introduced everyone to Shuri, T’Challa, and Okoye. You’ve spoken to the trip on the phone but it was nice to meet them in person. Yelena began to present her research and the importance of the partnership but Vision questioned every little thing to an annoying degree. You understood it was his job to understand how this would affect the company financially however it was starting to piss you off. Even Yelena knew he was getting on your nerves as you tirelessly defended everyone in your group. The glares he was sending your way weren’t helping. Was there trouble in paradise?
In the end, the deal was signed and work with the Wakandans could being. Plus, you didn’t murder your ex’s fiance so it was a win-win in your book.
*
You loved when a new deal was signed. It meant an influx of projects for your team to work on and more people to help. But the first day was meant with paperwork, scheduling, and delegating responsibilities. And meetings. So many meetings. You were tired, hungry, and in desperate need of a beer. You were putting on your headphones as you exited the elevator and headed for the door but a voice calling out your name caused you to stop. It was a voice you knew so well. “Wanda,” you said as your ex-girlfriend approached you. She looked good, wearing a long dress that touched the ground. Her hands were resting in front of her and she was playing with the rings that were on her fingers. A tale sign of her anxiety. “What are you doing here?” You questioned.
“Waiting for Vision,” Right. Of course, she was. That was a stupid question. “He said you and Yelena closed on a big deal.”
“We did,” you said. “Yelena did a majority of the work. I just guided her in the right direction.” You saw a strange emotion flash across her eyes. It was gone as quickly as it came so you couldn’t place it.
“Well congratulations,” you smiled as your thanks. An awkward beat of silence passed between you two. God, you didn’t know how to get out of this conversation. “Did you get your invitation?”
“Uh yes, I did,” Great. This is exactly where you didn’t want this conversation to go. “It was beautifully designed.” It wasn’t a total lie, you just had no memory of what it looked as you stared at the tagline - ‘Wanda and Vision invite you.’ Wanda and Vision. She wanted to get married but she wasn’t marrying you.
“Do you think-” your name being called out cut her off and you turned towards the sound. It was Yelena. You didn’t realize the blonde was still at the office and you never been more excited to see her.
“Ugh,” she groaned. “I didn’t think you were going to wait for me.” She said as she got closer. “Oh hi, Wanda.” The blonde plastered a fake smile on her face.
“Hi Yelena,” the smile on Wanda’s face was strained. Yelena looked at you.
“Ready to go get drinks?” Drinks? Her green eyes said a lot more than her simple statement. She was giving you an out. You made a mental note to increase her yearly bonus.
“I am,” you smiled at your ex. “It was good seeing you, Wanda. I’ll see you around.”
“Of course,” she said. “Congratulations, again. You both deserve to celebrate.” Yelena linked her arm with yours.
“Bye Wands,” the blonde dragged you to the door. When you both stepped outside and you were out of sight, Yelena dropped her arm. “Boy, you could feel the tension in the lobby.” You let out a relieved sigh.
“Thank you for the save,” you said. “I owe you one.” She shrugged.
“Don’t mention it. I do it a lot for Kate and America when we go out. It’s second nature,” she started to smile. Oh, that smile was trouble. “Buuuut, if you want to make it up to me I know of a bar that is close by. We do have something to celebrate.”
“Hmm,” you placed your hand on your chin pretending to think. “I don’t think we have anything to celebrate,” you teased. “And I am pretty tired.” You faked a yawn.
“Suka (bitch),” you pushed on your shoulder. You gasped.
“That is assault,” you said. “I’m calling HR.” Yelena rolled her eyes.
“Are we going or not?”
“Lead the way, printsessa (princess),” you bowed. She laughed, throwing her head back at your pathetic attempt at Russian. You liked the sound of it.
*
“I still can’t believe you are going to this stupid wedding,” Sarah said through Face time. You sighed as you put your tie underneath the collar of your shirt. “And you didn’t even bring me.”
“I didn’t have a plus one,” that was 100% on purpose. The last thing Wanda would have wanted was for your best friend that wasn’t her number 1 fan to come to her wedding. “What else was I supposed to do? Tony closed the office because everyone was invited and you are visiting family.” You weren’t going to sit at home and be depressed. At least some of your friends were going to be there, but most importantly Yelena. “You put your jacket on. “How do I look?” You were in an all-gray suit with a white shirt. The only pop of color came from your tie.
“Hot,” Sarah said. “Damn if I were into chicks I’d grab you.” You rolled your eyes.
“Thanks,” you sighed, looking down at the watch Howard gave you for your 18th birthday. “I better get going. I’ll text you after the ceremony.”
“Good luck!” You ended the call. You were going to need more than you, what you needed was at least 5 shots.
*
The ceremony was in an apple orchard. It appeared the happy couple rented out the inn and the orchard for a private wedding. You were handed confetti as you approached the rows of seats. There were small groups of people, all of them you knew, waiting for the ceremony to begin. You saw Pepper, who sent you a small wave. You waved back and sat in the back row at the end of the row. Thankfully, no one came up to you to talk because you weren’t in the talking mood. Instead, you played with the watch on your wrist. “Well,” you looked towards the voice and saw Howard Stark. “Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?”
“Mr. Stark,” you stood up, holding out your hand for him to shake. The man rolled his eyes and pulled you into a hug.
“Please. I changed your diapers when you were a kid,” you felt your body heat up in embarrassment. “Drop the act, kid, it makes me feel old,” you smiled and sat down, leaving the end seat for him. “How are you? You don’t come by the house anymore.” That was true. You didn’t want to run into Wanda or Vision by chance.
“I’ve been busy,” you told him. “Your son is running me ragged.” It was the furthest thing from the truth but it pulled a laugh out of the older man.
“It was the best decision that boy has ever made promoting you and Pepper,” you smiled. “But how are you?” He asked again. “How is this?” He placed a gentle hand on your heart. You sighed, looking at the ceremony. This was going to be you, marrying Wanda but she picked someone else.
“Tired, Howard, if I’m being honest. I feel a little lost,” he nodded. You knew the man would never judge you. He’s seen you at your lowest point when you found out your parents were killed in a car accident. You were in a meeting with him and Tony when Maria came in to tell you. Losing them broke you but the Starks were there to catch you. It was why it hurt so much that it was Vision who started dating Wanda.
“I always told my boys to go after what they wanted, I never expected that advice to hurt someone I considered a daughter,” your breath hitched. You always so him as a father-like figured but hearing him call you his daughter brought tears to your eyes. You looked at the archway. You didn’t blame him. “But,” he grabbed onto your shoulder. “You will have your love story that will arrival that of your parents and I can’t wait to see it,” you fought the tears that threatened to fall. “You will always be a Stark, okay?”
“Okay,” you whispered.
“Now I must be going but we will drink at the bar,” he stood up fixing his tie. “I believe I’m paying for it so drinks are on me.” You laughed, whipping away a tear.
“Thank you, Howard,” he gave you a salute and got ready for the ceremony. Folding your hands you sat back and watched as the seats began to fill. Soft music began to play and you were going to need a drink after this.
*
You took a glance at the seating chart. Table 3 with Natasha, Bucky, and Yelena. You were grateful she did that for you. Did you look like an alcoholic as you were the first one to the bar? Probably but you didn’t care. Besides you knew everyone at this wedding and it wasn’t like you were here to impress anyone. You ordered a strawberry mojito and waited for your drink as the rest of the guests filed in. “You know,” you turned to face Yelena as she walked over to you. She was wearing a light green full-length dress. It had a deep v-neck and a slit that went up to her thigh. Her blonde hair was braided. “I did not believe my sister when she said you’d RSVP but here you are.” She ordered herself a long island.
“Yelena,” you said. “You look gorgeous.” The compliment flowed so easily off your lips. You liked the blush that crept up on her cheeks.
“You don’t look half bad yourself,” she fixed the collar of your shirt. “How did you enjoy the ceremony?” She got her drink from the bartender.
“I’m glad to be drinking,” you said, holding out your arm. She took it and you walked her over to your table. The blonde laughed.
“Well, it’s an open bar. So let’s drink till our heart’s content.”
The reception was fun. The first dance was beautiful and speeches made by Tony and Pietro made you laugh. But if you were being honest with yourself, you weren’t paying attention. You found yourself watching Yelena. You weren’t sure when your feelings shifted for the blonde. Since the partnership with the Wakandans, you and she spent late nights at the office. Those nights were filled with laughter, stories, and dreams shared, and stressing over upcoming deadlines. For the first time since your breakup with Wanda, you felt free. Even Tony said something about your mode change.
Natasha sat down next to you with another drink. “I love that you’ve moved on from Wanda,” she handed you the drink. “But can you stop undressing my sister in front of me?” You jumped, startled by the accusation.
“Nat, shit, I’m sorry,” her laughter cut your nervous rambling off. “That’s not funny,” you whined, taking a sip of your drink. It was a lot stronger than your other ones. You wondered if she made it herself.
“I think it’s hilarious,” she leaned back in her chair. “So are you going to ask her out or just stare at her all night?” You groaned, rubbing your hands across your face.
“I don’t know,” your eyes immediately went back to the blonde. She was standing with Kate and Carol. The brunette must have said something funny because she laughed. God, she was beautiful. She must have felt eyes on her because she looked around until her green eyes found you. She waved and you waved back.
“Look, I’m going to intervene because I love you both. She likes you so make a move,” you looked at the redhead, trying to find any sense that she was messing with you. But you found none.
“Are you sure okay with this?” You questioned. “Because if you aren’t I will ignore my feelings for her,” Natasha put her hand on your shoulder.
“She will treat you better than Wanda,” she squeezed. “And if she does anything to hurt you. I won’t hesitate to kill her.” You covered your mouth as you laughed to now draw attention to you. “Go be happy.” You stood up, grabbing your drink.
“Thank you,” you began to walk over to the blonde. You were nervous. If she was going to allow you to date her, it would be different than dating Wanda. You worked with her, you were technically her superior. If it ended as badly, it could affect the work dynamic. But you couldn’t think like that. You had to take it one step at a time.
“Hi,” Wanda stepped in front of you. She changed out of her wedding dress and into a shorter one. “I’ve been meaning to talk to you all night.”
“Must be hard being the woman of the hour,” you took a sip of your drink and locked eyes with Yelena over Wanda’s shoulder. You gave her a reassuring smile. Wanda chuckled, sipping on her drink. It wasn’t her normal cocktail, which was strange unless being with Vision changed her that much.
“Do you have a minute to talk?” You didn’t but you nodded. She led you to a balcony, and your surprise there was no one out there. She leaned her back against the metal railing. Her hands were on her stomach, playing with the wedding ring. It hit you. The drink wasn’t alcoholic, her hands on her stomach. You took a sip of your drink.
“Your pregnant,” you said. She almost dropped her glass.
“How did-” she cut herself off with a laugh. “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.” You moved to stand next to her. “It was impossible to keep things from you.” ‘I guess you found a way,’ you wanted to say but you bite your tongue.
“How long?”
“2 months,” That was why they got together so quickly. That was why the engagement came out of nowhere. She cheated on you. Your stomach dropped. “Y/n-” she went to touch your arm but you jerked away from her.
“Don’t,” you hissed. “Don’t try to justify your cheating on me.” Oh, Sarah was going to have a field day with this. You took a deep breath in and slowly let it out, trying to keep your emotions at bay. “Are you happy?” It took a moment for her to reply.
“I am,” you nodded.
“Then go be happy with Vision and I’ll be happy with someone else. Have a nice life.” You turned to leave.
“With Yelena,” you didn’t like how she said her name. A hint of dislike and jealousy. When you faced her she was already looking at you. That same look was in her eyes that night in the lobby. She was jealous and possessive. Oh, it was comical.
“Don’t say her name like that,” you said, closing the gap between you and your ex. “Do you want to know the difference between me and you? You moved on while we were still together and didn’t have the guts to call it off because you slept with someone else. You have no right to be jealous over something you have no claim to. See around Wanda,” You waved over your shoulder as you walked back into the party. Drowning the rest of your drink, you saw that Yelena was still talking to Kate but America joined them. You through your cup away and walked over to the trio. You placed your hand on Yelena’s back as you approached them. The blonde looked at you, smiling. “Mind if I burrow her?” Kate and America smirked at each other.
“She’s all yours,” you thank them and moved your hand into hers, leading her out of the party. She squeezed your hand every few seconds, singling she was still with you. Finally, you stepped outside.
“I was going to give you 5 more minutes with her before I went and saved you,” you smiled, bringing her closer to you. She set her drink on the table. God, she was gorgeous. The lights danced in her green eyes.
“Can I kiss you?” You asked the urge was becoming too strong to ignore.
“Please,” she whispered. You connected your lips with hers without a moment’s hesitation. Her arms wrapped around your neck, pulling you closer to her. You felt her smile against your lips. Soon you pulled away but you kept her close, feeling her breath against your lips and her heartbeat racing. “I’m sorry about Wanda.” The mention of your ex snapped you out of your haze.
“Did you know?” She looked away, glancing at the reception through the window. But you gently placed a finger underneath her chin to look at you.
“I did but I’m not even sure if Natasha and Tony know and I thought she told you,” she was working herself into a panic attack. You brushed your nose against hers and captured her lips in a quick kiss. She calmed down. “I caught them at the office. It was late like so fucking late,” you chuckled. “I wasn’t sure what the hell I stumbled on. I think you were with Tony on a business trip to Japan,” you remembered that trip. You didn’t want to go as you and Wanda were planning on going to visit her family. “I’m sorry.” You weren’t sure if it was the alcohol or her being so close, you weren’t sure why she was apologizing. But that brain power was for the future, sober you to figure out.
“It’s okay, sweetheart,” that much you knew. You didn’t blame her. “We’re okay.” She let out a sigh. “Do you want to get out of here?” A playful smirk formed on her lips.
“I’ve been waiting all night for you to ask.”
*
Wanda stood in her kitchen, listening to her twins playing with their toys with the TV on with the latest episode of Bluey, as she flipped through the mail. A majority of it was junk mail; magazines she didn’t remember signing up for or ads trying to get her to buy something. Her fingers stopped on an envelope addressed to her and Vision written in beautiful writing. She ripped it open and stared at the invitation, ‘You are invited to the wedding of Yelena and Y/n, with a reception to follow.’

In the last few weeks, you and Yelena have become closer to each other. You spent a lot of time together and your crush on her grew because of that. She often visited you at the compound or you drove to her apartment. Spending time together also distracted you from worrying about Natasha and Bucky since they were both on a long and difficult mission. Even though you knew you didn’t have to worry about Bucky, you couldn’t help it because he’s your best friend. And Natasha is also one of the best assassins out there, probably even the best, but since Yelena is her sister, she can’t help it either.
So, for the past few weeks you’ve been watching movies or TV shows, visiting some places in New York that Yelena hasn’t seen yet and wanted to see, and when you found out that Yelena can only cook mac and cheese, you had to change that and asked if she would like to cook something with you. You had a lot of fun and Yelena started to really enjoy cooking with you. Yelena and you also really enjoyed being outside at night and watching the stars. Sometimes Yelena would fall asleep almost cuddling with you and resting her head on your chest. This also happened when you had movie nights together, and you loved when that happened.
You love hanging out with Yelena. You love everything about it. Her silly jokes, her sarcastic comments, her laughter, sitting close to each other and having a deep conversation late into the night.
The other Avengers who weren’t on a mission all noticed how close you were. Wanda always smiling at you both and Clint was also very happy that you were having fun together.
You were currently sitting on the couch in the living room at the compound and were discussing what you wanted to watch this time.
“So, what do you want to watch?” You asked as you opened Netflix.
“What would you suggest?” She asked shyly and you smiled at her.
“Hmm, let me think.” You said, looking at your movie watchlist you had on Netflix.
“What about this one? It’s called ‘Little Women’, and I really liked it the first time I saw it.”
“Okay, let’s watch that.” She said and you started to giggle.
“What?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.
“Maybe you should know that there is an actress in this movie who looks a lot like you.”
“Is that why you like this movie?” Yelena said, starting to blush.
“Maybe” You teased.
“Okay...umm, let’s just watch the movie.” Yelena said quietly and you started the movie.
After a while you sat very close to each other, and rested your head on her shoulder while you watched the movie. You were so distracted by the movie that you didn’t even hear the Quinjet land at the compound. You didn’t even notice the elevator door opening behind you.
“Hey you two.” You suddenly heard Natasha say. You both quickly moved away from each other and turned around. You started to smile when you saw Bucky standing there. You got up from the couch and ran to Bucky.
“I’m so glad you’re back safely.”
“I missed you.” Bucky said and wrapped his arms around you. As you hugged him, you heard Yelena walk towards Natasha.
“You’re back sestra! “Yelena said and hugged Natasha.
You decided to let them take a shower, while you finished the movie. After you all had dinner together, Bucky and Natsha told the others about the successful mission. Then Steve suggested to watch a movie. After the movie ended, you went to your room. You had only been there a few minutes when you heard a knock on your door.
“Come in.” You said and Bucky opened the door.
“Hey.” He said with a smile.
“Hey, Buck.” You said, walking up to him with a smile.
“I thought I’d come to you to hear what I missed while I was away.”
“Sure, come on, let’s sit down.” You said and walked over to your bed. Bucky sat down next to you, and you smiled at him.
“So, what do you want to know?”
“Isn’t there something you want to tell me?”
“I don’t know what you mean, Buck?” You said and Bucky chuckled.
“When were you going to tell me that you and Yelena are finally a couple?” Bucky said and you were confused now.
“What no me and Yelena are just friends.”
“You’re kidding right?” Bucky said and you just shook your head, not knowing what to say.
“Yelena looks at you like you’re her entire world.”
“What?” You said nervously.
“It’s so obvious that Yelena likes you too. The way she looks at you tells everything.”
“Are you sure, Buck?”
“Definitely.” You smiled and started telling Bucky everything he missed and how you and Yelena became so close.
“Please promise me that you will tell Yelena about your feelings for her.”
“Okay, I promise, but I don’t know how.”
“Just tell her how you feel and what she means to you.”
“Thanks, Buck. You’re the best.” Bucky started to smile and pulled you closer with his metal arm. You talked for a few more minutes when Bucky decided to look for Steve.
Three days have passed since Bucky and Natasha returned from the mission. You were watching a movie with Bucky, Steve, Natasha, Wanda and Yelena. After the movie ended you talked for a few more minutes until Bucky suddenly said.
“I think I’m heading to my room, I’m already tired.” He said and looked at Steve.
“Yeah, me too.”
“Okay, goodnight, Grandpas.” Natasha said, making the others laugh while Bucky and Steve looked at her annoyed. Before Bucky left the room, he winked at you. Natasha and Wanda stayed for a few minutes and then decided to leave as well. So, now you were alone with Yelena.
“Do you want to watch something?” She asked and you nodded, but then had to think about what Bucky had said. Now was the opportunity to tell Yelena.
“Well, actually there’s something I’ve been wanting to tell you for a while.”
“Of course, go for it.” She said but sounded a little nervous.
“Well, how do I start…” You took a deep breath and Yelena smiled softly at you.
“Yelena, I like you a lot and not just as a friend. My day always gets better when I see you…you mean so much to me.”
“Oh, Y/n, I can’t believe you’re saying that because I feel the same way about you.” She said, making you smile.
“Really?”
“Yeah, I was just too shy to tell you and wasn’t sure if you feel the same way, especially because of my past.” Yelena said, looking away for a second, but then back at you.
“Hey, I know you’ve been through a lot and that doesn’t change anything. I love you for who you are.”
“Thank you for saying that, it means so much to me.”
“So, what are we doing on our first date?” You asked and her smile started to grow, and she spoke, “I think I already have an idea.”
You were so glad that Yelena feels the same way and you can’t wait to see what idea she has for your first date.

April Fools - Kate Bishop
Pairings: Kate Bishop x Fem! reader.
Warnings: Fluff, romantic comedy, cuteness overload because I miss Kate, reader is Spider-Girl.
Word count: 1765.
Tumblr media
Kate looks up from her place on the couch to see Y/n in the kitchen with Yelena teaching the blonde how to make her favorite dessert, Brazilian brigadeiro, after they made the whole dinner by themselves. Both were entertained as Y/n made little balls of chocolate and rolled on the sprinkles, completely unaware that Kate is observing Y/n’s every move.
“You look like a stalker,” Clint said next to her, making her, reluctantly, look at him with a questioning look. “Have you ever realized how much you stare Y/n? Every time move she makes is caught because you look at her like a motion detection camera.”
Kate opens her mouth to say something, but it closes quickly. There is nothing she can tell Clint to get out of this position, he caught her, and both know it. The raise of his eyebrow is enough evidence.
“Don’t you think it would be easier if you just talked to her?” He continues to question.
“She is my best friend, Clint.” Kate sighs, looking over her shoulder and seeing Y/n hand Yelena one small chocolate ball, the blonde caught it looking for a few seconds as if inspecting. “I don’t want to ruin our friendship, it’s better if we stay like this.”
“I think that’s stupid.” He bluntly says, shaking his head and sighing. “And you’ll just keep looking at her like a puppy waiting for an owner?”
“Yes.” She said without thinking much, before turning to him quickly. “Wait, that’s rude!”
“It’s the truth.”
“Oh, this is good!” Yelena says in the kitchen, and Kate looks back at them. Yelena has her eyes wide, one hand holding Y/n’s forearm and the other throwing the rest of the chocolate in her mouth. “This is very very good.”
“Right? Now you understand why it’s my favorite.” Y/n replies with a cute small laugh that makes Kate look at her yearning. “Now c’mon, help me make the rest.”
“She will find out, you’re very bad at hiding.” Clint was vocal again, but this time he was getting up, about to stop the commotion in the kitchen due to Yelena making another brigadeiro just to throw in her mouth. “Hey, get out of there, Yelena.”
“Shut up, these are made to be eaten.” Yelena narrows her eyes at him, challenging him.
“Go sit with Kate, Yelena, I will make some extra for you.” Y/n sighs as she points to the living room. “But only if you sit there and don’t steal more brigadeiros.”
“Fine.” She fake complains and gives Clint a hard stare as if saying ‘don’t you dare eat my damn chocolate’.
“Can you make little balls for me, Clint? I’ll make more for Yelena before she kills someone because of chocolate.” Y/n asks before showing Clint what needs to be done.
“Smart girl, I would not hesitate,” Yelena replies as she sits on the couch where the older archer had been before. “You were staring like a creep, Kate Bishop.”
Kate almost chokes on her saliva as she hears it. Not only her mentor, and best friend, had noticed, but now Yelena had noticed too. And maybe Clint was right, it wouldn’t be long until Y/n realizes as well.
Okay, she was a bit slower at noticing romantic advances and Kate would often give really good excuses for her staring, but she wasn’t stupid.
“Is it that obvious?” Kate asks and Yelena nods with a funny face.
“Maybe not to her yet, but she is a superhero. Quick thinking and all of that.”
“Goddamn it!” Kate complains putting her hands on her face with a sigh. “I’m doomed, Yelena.”
“Tomorrow is that day,” Yelena says, trying to remember. “April Fools, use that!”
Kate looks at Yelena clearly confused.
“Do I have to do everything? A prank, that is not a prank.” She rolls her eyes at Kate. “Jesus, Kate Bishop, love made you slow.”
“I’m both offended and grateful.” Kate said as she shook her head.
As the archer leaned her back into the sofa thinking about what she would do tomorrow. Yelena was right, she could use this opportunity to put up to test the strong chemistry between them, but Y/n didn’t make it much clear if she actually felt something romantic for Kate or just as a friend.
Yelena had left Kate’s apartment late at night, Clint went to sleep on Kate’s bed while Kate and Y/n had left early to go to her apartment. Y/n had inconveniently forgotten her Spider-Girl suit charging and the other one was still drying from when she accidentally fell at the lake. But it allowed Clint to have a better night’s rest with Lucky and no unstoppable laughs coming from the girls.
Kate woke up in the morning confused as to why Y/n was screaming her name in desperation, she sat up trying to open her eyes and focus on her distressed best friend.
“I’m up, what’s going on?” Kate asked shoving the covers to the side and getting up, almost falling in the process, vision still blurred.
“I lost my powers!” Y/n said and to make her point she tried to shoot a web and miserably failed.
“What?!”
“Exactly!” Y/n ran her hands through her hair, which was very disheveled. “I have no idea why this is happening, oh my god.”
Kate is still trying to process as she gets close and puts a hand on Y/n’s shoulder. “Is there something stressing you up? We will get to the bottom of this!”
“I mean, yes… My ex texted me saying they want us to get back.” Y/n sighed as she revealed.
“That little shit-“ Kate breathes in angrily. “I have excellent aim Y/n; I will shoot them!”
“Kate, there’s no-“ Y/n interrupts herself and scrunches her nose up, her mouth opening as she is clearly about to sneeze. “A-a-atchoo!”
Y/n sneezes and Kate’s face is suddenly full of webbing. Her best friend laughs out loud, helping to take out all the webbing covering her eyes, nose and mouth.
“Oops, I think it was webbing constipation.” Y/n defends herself poorly. “April fools!”
“Oh, you-!” Kate says as both manage to take the web out of her face, and she goes to the bathroom to take out the rest and brush her teeth, ignoring how Y/n’s cute smile released the whole zoo inside her stomach.
“Sorry, I couldn’t resist!” Y/n defends herself, leaning on the door. “You always do something, so I wanted to get you first!”
Kate silently brushes her teeth taking the rest of the web and Y/n helps clean her hair. Kate finishes brushing her teeth and suddenly pulls the other close, pressing the spiderling against the sink, one hand on each side of the woman. Y/n’s demeanor changes immediately, eyes widening, breath hitching, cheeks burning crimson and making it very visible to the archer her frustration.
“You shouldn’t play with me like that, Y/n.” Kate says slowly, and Y/n visibly gulps looking deep into her dark blue eyes.
Kate’s fall comes quickly after that, Y/n forcefully changes their places and now the archer was the one being pressed against the sink, eyes wide in surprise at the overconfident way her best friend had done that.
“You accepted that the day you turned into my best friend, Bishop, you were very aware and if anything you think I'm funny as hell.”
Kate gulped, before blurting out. “I like you.” Y/n rolled her eyes as the other one added. “Romantically.”
“Haha, Kate, I already know it’s April Fools.” The spiderling answers, shaking her head. “C’mon I thought you could be more original.”
“I am being original; this is reverse April Fools.” Kate defended herself. “I’m telling the truth instead.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Y/n still didn’t believe her as she pulled away.
Kate then put both hands on the sides of Y/n’s face and pulled her in for a long peck. She felt Y/n get rigid, then sigh slightly as she relaxed, however as if a sudden bucket of cold water was thrown in her head, she gently pushed Kate back.
“Katherine!” She said with wide eyes and crimson cheeks.
“I am being serious now; I didn’t know how to tell you and Yelena suggested doing a prank that was real.” The archer started to talk, looking away a bit embarrassed. “I was planning on a more elaborate prank to see if you felt something for me too, but… I kind of lost my cool.”
“I…“ Y/n was speechless, finally downing on her what was happening.
“I am in love with you, reverse April fools!” Kate sings shaking her hands a bit as silence fills the room.
The other woman suddenly scoffs, shaking her head as she clearly cannot believe her ears. But it’s Kate that is shocked when she speaks again.
“It fucking took you long enough, Kate, seriously. Yelena had to suggest that? Jeez.” Y/n rolls her eyes as she gets closer and kisses Kate’s cheek. “I’m also in love with you, idiot.”
“I swear to god if you’re playing me right now-“ Kate narrows her eyes, getting distrustful.
“I will kiss you to prove it.” Y/n shrugged.
“A real one, no bromancing!” The archer raises an eyebrow, defying Y/n to do that. “Bromance without the bro.”
“…Mance?” Y/n asks in confusion.
“I meant romance actually.” Kate corrects herself, sheepishly.
“I think you should stop talking.” Y/n laughs as she shakes her head.
“I am trying to, but you’re taking too long to kiss me!” The other one defends herself yet again.
Y/n makes the last step and kisses Kate, first a long peck, but then both deepened the kiss putting all their bottled-up feelings into it. When they separated, breathing hard, both laughed.
“Okay, this really isn’t a prank.” Kate said, breathless as she looked lovingly into Y/n’s eyes.
“I’m not sure yet, I think you need to keep kissing me to try and convince me.” Y/n says, clearly not meaning it, but making more excuses to kiss Kate.
“Oh, how dreadful.” Kate replies, smiling. "Normally I'd say you need to put more trust in me but... I don't know, we need to really make sure this isn't a prank."
She had to remember to thank Yelena later, maybe pamper the shit out of her with some brigadeiros and spicy food as a thank you. She would definitely be happy with that.
In the meanwhile, Kate would take her time kissing her best friend, current lover, and future girlfriend. They obviously needed to make sure it wasn’t a prank (an excuse they would use even in the future).

Happy Together
Pairing: Florence Pugh × Fem!Reader
Summary: A cute unplanned date night with your girlfriend, Florence
Disclaimer: English is not my first language, be aware and be kind
Tumblr media
"Hey," Florence greeted as she walked closer to where you were leaning against the car. "You didn’t have to pick me up."
It was late. Very late, actually. There were maybe three or four cars still in the parking lot aside from yours, but there wasn’t anyone else walking around. They were probably still in the studio working, even at that ridiculous hour.
Florence's face showed her fatigue. She had cleaned her skin from the heavy makeup she had to wear on set and it was easy to spot the bags under her eyes. She was also wearing her comfortable sweatpants and a loose jacket, the same clothes she had walked out of the house earlier that day. It seemed she was a minute away from falling asleep while walking from the way she was dragging her feet.
However, as soon as she spotted you, her face lit up all at once. You could feel your chest warming up at the clear affection you could see in her expression, at the bright smile that curled her lips up, at the way she seemed taller and more alert than she had been a second ago. It was mostly dark around you two, and you wouldn’t have been able to see anything if it wasn’t for the reflectors around the parking lot, but you would be able to swear right there that Florence lit up everything around her like the sun.
When she stopped in front of you, glancing up, you realized you hadn’t replied yet. Instead of saying something yet, you cupped her jaw, tilted your head to the side, and pressed a lingering kiss on her lips. You didn’t bother to deepen it, though the simple, delicate touch was enough to make your heart race inside your chest.
When you pulled away, all smiles and warm cheeks, you wasted no time placing both hands on her waist to keep her where she was. Standing between your slightly parted legs, looking at you with those soft green eyes. Suddenly, you were in no rush to get back home. You could stay there forever with her, if needed.
"Yes, well, I wasn't going to let you get a cab this late," you replied after a few seconds.
It was past midnight the last time you checked your phone. One of the downsides of her work. When the night shots started, Florence would be in the studios for much longer than usual and, really, there were days she didn’t even know when she would be free to go home.
When she told you early that week that she would be getting back home around two or three in the morning, you were worried, of course. So, the obvious solution in your head was to make sure she would get there safely. You two didn’t live together yet, and you knew you would stay awake until she texted you to let you know she made it home, so, really, it was easier to go pick her up.
Besides, that gave you an excellent excuse to see her again. Even if you woke up together only hours ago.
Florence rolled her eyes fondly at you, a smile trying to make an appearance, before she placed a palm flat against your chest, right above your heart. Her hand stayed there for a moment, but her finger quickly started to draw the outline of your bra under your shirt. It was a move made out of habit, you knew it, but there was no stopping the shiver that ran down your spine.
"We don't need both of us to have a fucked up schedule, you know?" She said.
You shrugged. "I don't have work tomorrow, so it's not a problem." Then, because you knew she would insist that you didn’t have to be there, you kept talking: "Did you have time to eat yet?"
The grimace that took over her expression was enough to let you know the answer, but she still grumbled under her breath. "No. I literally just left the costume department to take off my clothes. We had to make, like, a million takes on the same thing," she complained and an adorable pout showed up right after.
It made you want to lean over to kiss her lips again, but you kept yourself in place offering only a smile at her. You didn’t quite understand her world - the shootings, the photoshoots, the costumes, the takes - though you loved the way her eyes shined whenever she mentioned her work.
That, of course, didn’t change the fact that, sometimes, her working schedule messed up some other aspects of her life, such as eating food and drinking water. It always made you worried whenever she told you she skipped lunch or that she totally forgot to drink water that day. You always jokingly said it was a hard task to make sure she would live another day, but, in reality, you were just constantly worried about her.
Which explained the way you physically cringed when you heard her poor explanation. "Oh, Flo," you sighed and just knew there was no point trying to talk her into healthy habits. "Well, let’s see if we can find an open restaurant, okay?"
"I'm tired." Florence pouted while drawing her hands to her shoulders and then down your arms.
"I know, but you need to eat something. We can order it to go, if you wish."
"Fine," she sighed and pulled away from you, which almost made you regret ever saying anything. "But just because I'm actually hungry."
"Get inside your carriage then, madam," you joked, adding a weird French accent in the last word, and making a quick run to the passenger's side to open the door for her.
She chuckled at you and kissed your cheek as she walked past you to enter the car. You took some precious seconds to recover from the way your heart fluttered because of the delicate kiss, but, eventually, you were able to rush to the driver's seat and take off not long after that.
"What do you wanna eat?" You asked.
"Whatever we can find open this late at night," she replied with a small shrug. "It's very late, I doubt we're going to find any open restaurants."
You would have to agree with her. You tried to keep your eyes on the road at the same time you glanced from side to side to see if you could find anything that was still working that late, but Florence's favorite places were closed, just like everywhere else. It was a bit crazy to think a city that size wouldn’t be working 24/7, but it seemed it wasn’t your lucky day because there were no restaurants still open for you to take your girlfriend for a late dinner.
Eventually, after you drove for several minutes and your frustration grew more and more, you felt Florence's hand touching your thigh to get your attention. "Let's go home, my love. I'm sure I still have some instant noodles in the cabinet."
You sighed, ready to admit your defeat. "I guess we would only find a McDonald's working this late. Sorry, babe."
Busy as you were trying to get a better look at the river mirror to change lanes so you could drive to her house, you failed to notice the face your girlfriend made. "Hmm," she hummed, tilting her head to the side as well. "I wouldn’t be opposed to McDonald's."
"Really?" You asked in surprise, throwing a quick glance at her. "McDonald's?"
"They have a vegetarian menu now," was the only thing she said before shrugging, and you really didn’t need much more to change your way to the closest McDonald's you could find.
Florence loved to eat real food, as she liked to say, and it was very unusual that she would express the wish to eat fast food like that. However, considering the other option was to go home and make instant noodles, you weren’t going to try to change her mind. Besides, you really loved good junk food.
"Fine," you relented. "But, if your mom asks, I get mad when you don't eat healthy food." To make your point, you turned your head at her, taking advantage of the red light, and made a face that was clearly you trying to have an 'I'm-Mad-Façade'.
Florence laughed loudly, throwing her head back for a moment and showing the column of her throat, before she leaned over until your noses were almost touching. What did touch you, though, was her finger poking where your eyebrows had joined thanks to your fake grimace. It made your face instantly relax and she laughed again when you pouted and looked at the street again. A second later, the light turned green and you were moving again.
"Very mad," she teased, although there was too much love in her tone for it to actually bother you. "The maddest."
You sighed dramatically. "My efforts are never acknowledged."
"They're always acknowledged, darling," Florence corrected you gently as she placed a soft hand on your thigh.
You grabbed her hand and raised it to your lips so you could kiss her knuckles, but you had to drop your light teasing with her since you had to pull into the drive-thru. "What do you want to eat?"
"Oh, I could eat an entire house," she groaned. Florence moved a bit to be able to read the bright letters as you drove in. "McPlant, the apple pie and fries."
"Anything to drink?"
"I should probably get water," Florence said, but, as you looked at her with a raised brow, she laughed. "What? At least I got the vegetarian one!"
"So that means you can drink the milkshake," you joked, already leaning over to make your order.
"That's way too much food," she commented when you moved to grab your credit card.
You shrugged. "You said you're hungry."
"But two large fries, four apple pies and nuggets?"
This time, you opened a smile at her as you waited to type your password. "I hope you enjoy the menu for our romantic date," you joked. "Very romantic," you added after putting your wallet away.
Florence rolled her eyes, but she had a big smile on her face and you couldn’t resist leaning in to give her a peck. You drove to pick up your order next and, after putting way too many things inside your car, you started driving toward her house. Florence kept talking about her day, her crazy agenda, her ongoing meetings and table readings, and you listened to her carefully as both of you stole a french fry from a bag every once in a while.
You were about a mile from her house when she tapped your arm suddenly and pointed at something. "Let's go to the park!"
"What?!" You asked without trying to hide your surprise. "Do you know how late it is?"
She glanced at you. "It's literally in front of a police station. And there’s a place to park the car."
"Are you sure you don't wanna go home?"
"I'm just trying to bring this romantic dinner to a nice location," Florence explained.
And even if you weren’t totally sure it was a good idea, you also knew you were very bad at telling her 'no'. That's why it wasn’t a surprise at all when you found yourself parking your car at the spot right under a lamppost. It was a nice park, but you already knew that. Florence takes her dog there for walks and you have joined them more than once. Even so, it looks even better at night. The fountain lit up with thousands of little lights that also made the trees and flowers around it glow as well. It was also a beautiful night. They could see the stars and the moon up in the sky, the street wasn’t awfully noisy as usual, and the few people walking around didn’t even seem to exist.
Florence apparently had intended for you two to eat inside the car, but you got out and started to put the different bags of food on top of the hood before you coaxed her outside as well. Your girlfriend looked a bit suspicious, although she didn’t offer any resistance when you helped her slide on the hood. You made a quick pause to give her a kiss, letting your hands rest on her hips for a few more seconds, and then you pushed yourself up to sit by her side, already grabbing a nugget to eat.
Florence only smiled at you, shaking her head fondly, before she reached for her burger to start eating. There, both of you talked and ate with no rush at all, talking and laughing and sharing fries. At some point, Florence had some ketchup at the corner of her mouth and you used the pad of your thumb to clean it, smiling when you noticed her cheeks turning a bit darker.
"I'm sorry," you whispered with a grin, suddenly feeling a bit self-conscious.
"For what?" Florence asked and tilted her head to the side.
You shrugged, unsure. "Well, you're used to fancy restaurants and those complicated dishes I can't even pronounce. And here I am, making you eat McDonald's on top of the hood of my car."
Florence's hand touched your cheek before you could look away from her as you planned on doing. She waited until your eyes were locked with hers and smiled gently. "This is the most romantic dinner I ever had," she declared so certainly that there was no room left for you to doubt it even for a second. "Because it's you, and I’m so lucky to have you, darling. How lucky can I be, really, that I just got the best girlfriend in the entire world, huh?"
Feeling even more embarrassed and a bit flustered, you end up looking down. "Didn’t know you were dating yourself," you grumbled under your breath, almost low enough that Florence wouldn’t be able to hear it.
But she did, and her reaction was to laugh happily at you. Florence's body ended up leaning toward you and her forehead rested on your shoulder as her small frame shook with laughs, and you just couldn’t help but put your arm around her waist even if your cheeks felt like they were on fire. It still amazed you that you kept falling more and more in love with her as the days went by.
"Come on, let’s get you home," you said after her laughs ceased.
You tapped Florence's thigh and tried to move away, but she only leaned away enough time to place a hand on your cheek to pull you in for a kiss. Your lips touched gently at first, bringing a shiver down your spine, though you didn’t waste any time to slip your tongue between her parted lips. Florence sighed against your lips and that’s when you both knew it was time to break the kiss.
"You're coming with me, right?" Florence asked once she pulled away, licking her lips while brushing her thumb against your bottom lip to brush off her lipstick.
"If you wish for my outstanding presence," you joked and got an eye roll as a reply, which made you chuckle. "Anything you want, Flo."
"Let's go then," she declared. "I want to cuddle!"
"Your wish is my command, my love."

Always - Yelena Belova

Words: 1600
Yelena helps reassure reader when they are feeling insecure
I started this a while ago and it’s been living in my drafts for so long that I forgot about it. Sorry for any mistakes
Masterlist
________
A lot of people have little bits of their body that they don’t like. Whether it’s something about their face or the way their clothes hang off their bodies or it’s a specific area that you just wish they could change. Needless to say, people aren’t alone in their insecurities, no matter how alone someone might feel.
You had heard similar sentences throughout your life, and no matter how uplifting they felt at the time, the encouragement never seemed to actually do anything. Sure, you liked to present yourself as this confident person that everyone seemed to adore, but you couldn’t help but feel like a fraud with all these anxieties that always seemed to linger in your mind. The Avengers saw you as confident, but there were few that actually knew the real you, even if it felt like you didn’t know the real you all the time.
Wanda knew your insecurities. She was one of your best friends and one of the first people you confided in. Natasha knew as well, being a sort of mentor figure to you. Plus, with her being your girlfriend’s sister, she kind of came as a package deal with your girlfriend. Then, of course, there was Yelena, your greatest supporter through all your hard times. You helped each other, you both were the other’s support system, and you wouldn’t want to be any other way. However, to actually get that support, you had to reach out for help when the thoughts got too loud.
You were finding yourself in that particular situation at the current moment. You had just gotten out of the shower and were dressed in just your undergarments. You were looking through your closet for something to wear, realizing that you forgot to grab clothes before you got in the shower. After pulling out a set of clothes, you looked in the mirror just to check your reflection before getting dressed.
You couldn’t help yourself as your eyes lingered on your body, picking out the bits you didn’t like or couldn’t stand. Sure, your mind went from thing to thing, but you lingered on your thighs. It wasn’t that you were insecure about your thighs in general, it was just the scars that lingered from years gone by.
You had been clean for years, and hadn’t given into your urges in what felt like forever. You were proud of your accomplishments, and Yelena was even more proud for you. But that didn’t make looking at your scars any easier. You could remember doing every single one of them, and you could never not feel guilty about them.
Instinctively, you ran your fingers across the numerous lines that littered your thighs, feeling the oddly textured skin. You didn’t miss the constant pain, the constant fear of someone finding out. You did miss the way it made you feel though, but you had found better and healthier ways of coping. You were glad that part of your life was over, and you would never go back to it if you could help it. Still…the scars were hard to look at. You never did like complaining about them, feeling hypocritical because you inflicted the scars on yourself. Yelena always assured you that your scars weren’t ugly or something to be ashamed about, but some part of you just couldn’t believe her. You didn’t like them, and just looking at your scars made you feel sick.
You were too lost in your thoughts to notice Yelena come into the bedroom. She stopped in her tracks when she noticed you were in the middle of changing, but it didn’t take her long to notice the way you were just staring at yourself in the mirror. Her eyes traveled your body, seeing nothing but beauty there. She wished she could somehow get you to see yourself the way she saw you.
For a few moments, she watched you run your fingers across your thighs, not exactly sure what to do. Of course she could just turn around and leave, act like she never saw anything. Or she could speak up, break you out of your trance before you got too stuck in your head. However, words were not her strong suit, and she wouldn’t know exactly what to say to make you feel any better. She knew the last thing she wanted to do was leave you alone in a vulnerable state like this, so she moved forward silently, making her presence know.
Yelena slowly approached you, taking up residence behind you. When you saw her, you dropped you hand, acting like nothing had just been happening. She had been with you through this whole healing journey, helped you the last time you relapsed several years ago. Even if you two were only friends back then, Yelena made it obvious that she cared about you. She held you during the harder nights, and you knew you would forever be grateful for everything she’d done for you.
“Hi, love.” Yelena whispered, wrapping her arms around your waist. “You wanna talk?
You knew how blunt Yelena could be, and you would always appreciate her directness, never being one to like beating around the bush.
“I hate my scars.” You replied shortly, trying to move out of Yelena’s grasp so you could get dressed, feeling exposed.
Yelena’s heart ached a bit, never really liking it when you talked negatively about yourself. Nonetheless, she let you go so you could get dressed.
“You shouldn’t be ashamed of them. They-“
“‘They are a sign that I’ve gone through and survived hard battles,’ I know. I’ve heard that before and it doesn’t do shit to make me feel better.” You snapped, cutting Yelena off before she could finish. “You don’t get it, I’m ashamed of them! They mean I was weak and that I couldn’t help myself and…and I…” You broke down as you struggled to get your clothes on.
“Hey, hey, take a breath.” Yelena tried, helping you slip into your clothes before bringing you into her embrace to try and hold you.
“I’m sorry. I don’t mean to complain.” You sighed, leaning into blonde, nuzzling your face into the crook of her neck.
“I don’t think you’re complaining, but you are right. Your scars are a sign that you have survived your hard battles. You shouldn’t have to feel ashamed about them. They’re a part of you, and I love every bit of you.” she tried, bringing a hand up to rest on the back of your head. “Take my scars for example. Do you think I should be ashamed of mine?”
“No! In your case that bullshit excuse applies. You survived the Red Room and came out a better person.” you exclaimed, quickly pulling yourself out of her neck so you could look into her eyes. They softened at your response, the corners of her eyes crinkling as she smiled gently.
“Baby the same is true for you.” she replied, chuckling a bit at your eagerness to defend her.
Though, at her words, you sighed deeply, pushing yourself away from Yelena.
“No, Lena you’re not understanding.” you pinched the bridge of your nose, squeezing your eyes shut. You could feel frustration bubbling up, but not at Yelena. She was trying her best to be helpful, and you were grateful. You were frustrated with yourself, frustrated that you couldn’t verbalize what you were feeling.
You wished this conversation had never started, but there was no backing out of it now.
“Help me understand then, y/n.” Yelena replied, taking a few steps after you.
You huffed, looking up at the ceiling, hoping to find your words magically painted up there for you to read.
“I did this to myself. I’m the only one responsible for my scars because I was weak and I thought that it’d do something to help! I shouldn’t feel proud of my scars because I inflicted them on myself.”
“Just because you battled your mental health doesn’t mean it was any less worthy of being called a ‘battle’ You fought to survive another day, and you did. You made here, to this moment.” she urged, lacing her hand with yours.
You sighed, knowing she was right. She usually was.
“You’re right.” you whispered, hanging your head.
“No matter how much you claim to hate a part of yourself, I’ll always be here to love it for you.” Yelena leaned forward to place a gentle kiss on your cheek.
It was then, at those words, that you finally broke. A deep sob wracked through your body, causing you to shake.
Yelena wrapped her arms around you, pulling you in for a tight hug to try and calm you down. Though, she understood that these were emotions that you had to get out, and weren’t exactly anything that she could solace.
She had been the same way at the beginning of your relationship. You had helped her work through her experience in the Red Room, and had often reacted in similar ways as you did tonight. You’d helped her through those hard moments, and she made a promise to herself to be there for you through yours. Many emotions just had to be felt, and there wasn’t much anyone could do about that.
Gently, she led you to sit on the edge of the bed, never letting go of her hold on you.
After a while and many whispered assurances, you settled down. You arguably did feel better after having talked about everything. Letting Yelena in usually had that effect.

Secret- Yelena Belova
Tumblr media
Pairing: Yelena Belova x Reader
Characters: Yelena Belova
Warnings: N/A
Request: Anon- can you please do “I’m not going to be your secret anymore.” w/ Yelena Belova
Word Count: 422
Author: Charlotte
It made sense to keep your relationship hidden. In your line of work, emotions were not supposed to be part of anything you did, and love was certainly off the table, especially if it was with another black widow. Surprisingly that wasn’t the most daunting part that had led to you keeping your relationship hidden, rather your best friend was her older sister and neither of you wanted to deal with telling her that you were together. At first it felt special, just having Yelena to yourself, not having to answer questions or justify anything, just having the woman that held your heart and whilst others were around you appreciated the stolen glances you shared.
You trusted Natasha with your life, but you didn’t know how she’d feel about her sister and best friend being together and although you could blissfully be ignorant to it, guilt began to flood you, knowing it would only hurt her the longer you kept the secret from her. Yelena’s guilt was unknown to you, but she was less willing to let the cat out of the bag and wanted to keep the relationship a secret. You tried to accept that, but time only made it harder and finally you had to pull her to the side when Natasha wasn’t around and tell her the truth.
“I can’t keep doing this,” you admitted. “I love you Yelena but I’m not going to be your secret anymore. It’s just going to hurt Nat more if we keep this from her.”
“She will be mad either way,” she stated.
You shook your head. “I doubt she’ll be happy, but I can’t keep being dishonest to her and everyone else. It was nice just having you to myself, but I am ready to show you to the world and I don’t think I can keep staying in the shadows.”
Yelena paused for a moment, avoiding your gaze. For people that were meant to keep their emotions at bay, you both had internal turmoil that certainly proved otherwise.
“Is it really that important to you?” She questioned.
“Yes, I love you, but I also love her. I don’t wish to hurt either of you.”
She hesitantly nodded her head. “She is going to kick both of our arses, but I guess it’s worth it for you.”
A smile curled upon your lips. “So, we can tell her?”
“Yes, we can tell her,” she sighed. “I hope that you know what we are getting ourselves into.”
“Anything is worth being with you.”

Inspection
Warning: smut!
**************************************************
Though it had only been about a week since you had seen her last and the two of you had went months before without seeing one another this trip was different. It was torture knowing that she somewhere in Costa Rica traversing through the dangerous jungle and not even being able to speak to her. It was driving you insane, you were worried about her, you knew that she would be okay and make it back to you however the fear that something, anything could go wrong had you on edge. The entire week of her adventure had you nervously pacing around your home or working to distract yourself from pacing around your home.
When she had finished the adventure and got back to her phone the first thing Florence did was call you. She knew how stressed you were about her trip before she left and she wanted nothing more then to reassure you of her safety.
“Hello Darling!” Flo yelled excitedly into the phone
“Flo? hi baby how are you? Are you okay? Are you safe? Where are you? When are you-“ Your worried questioning were interrupted promptly
“Darling Darling Darling I am okay I promise that I am fine absolutely fine, nothing happened to me. I loved every moment even those parts that I was a bit nervous about! All went well and I even got to jump out of an airplane in the end!” She spoke so happily about the adventure
“What did you say? You jumped out of an airplane? That is so dangerous oh my god, fuck, I am happy you are okay. When will you be home?”You asked biting your lip
“I have a plane out tomorrow morning darling, I will be back before evening, I cannot wait to see you! I love you hon!” Florence smiled at the thought while ending the call
***************************************************
You don’t know what came over you when she walked through the door but you sprang from your place on the couch and to her at the door. She looked tired but otherwise externally okay as she dropped her bags to the ground and smiled happily at you as you reached her.
Your hands went immediately to her face holding it between your hands as you looked into her beautiful eyes and sighed happily.
“Welcome home floss, I missed you and worried about you the whole time.” You spoke with a frown
“I know y/n, I missed you too baby but I promised I’d come back to you and here I am.” She spoke sweetly placing her hands on top of yours and leant in to kiss you
The kiss was passionate instantly from the time and distance apart, or the tension of fear none may ever know but neither cared much as sighs of contentment escaped your mouths. Tongues not battling as they sometimes did but caressing one another in a worshiping way. Your bodies as close as they could get and your hands roaming to hold each other.
Flo pulled away and smiled at you stating that she should at least put her bags away before ravishing you however she did not know that that was not what you wished for.
You followed her to the bedroom and as soon as she placed the suitcases down you grabbed her shoulders turning her around to face you.
“Baby is eager today hmmm?” Flo grinned as she spoke
“ Just stand still for me Flo will you please?” You ask sweetly
Florence is intrigued, confused, but incredibly excited for whatever is about to happen. As her breath quickens she nods her head signaling for you to continue with your plans whatever they were.
You stood there for a moment just staring at her taking her him the short brown hair that she held back with her little gem stone clips, her beautiful makeup-less face, the hoodie and jeans that she had worn from he airport. She was beautiful, perfect, and seemingly untouched from the dangerous Costa Rican Volcanic rainforest.
You started with the clips taking them out and letting her hair fall around her face. when they were all out of the hair you ran your fingers through her hair massaging her head as you leaned in to share yet another long caressing kiss that left you both breathless and Florence reaching for your clothes which caused you to pull away with a giggle.
“Y/n what is this game you are playing?” Flo said eyebrows knitted and desperate for you
“Stay still and you will see baby” you responded moving your hands down to her chest
She released a breath as your hands slightly squeezed her breasts. Too quickly however your hands had continued their journey away from her breasts to the hem of the hoodie helping her pulling it off to see that the only garment beneath it was her black sports bra. You ran your hands over her shoulders and down her arms. Circled her body to kiss the tips of her shoulders and her back, checking as you did so for any injuries that could have been left from the dangerous adventure. You brought each of her palms to you lips kissing the blisters that she had received from using ropes to climb down waterfalls and other such activities. You sighed agitated that even though thus far this was the extent of any injury to your beloved girlfriend they were still injuries to her beautiful hands.
Flo at this point understood fully what was happening her girlfriend who had anxiously awaited her return for a week was inspecting her body for any injuries or differences. It was adorable the way that you cared for her the ways that you showed that love even more adorable your lips landing on each and every mole that she had and she had no doubt that you had memorized them with the amount of times that you spent kissing them and gazing at her body after the two of you lay spent and tired from and eventful night of pleasing one another. She loved you like this possessive, protective, loving she’d have you no other way.
Her thoughts slipped away with her breath as you mouthed her breast through her sports bra. The unexpectedness of it caused Florence to release a breathy moan but the moans continued as you lifted your gaze to hers and continued to suck on her breast slightly. Her hands reached out and grabbed your waist needing something to hold on to or she knew she would go mad.
You pulled away finally and lifted her arms to then help her dispose of the sports bra allowing her breasts to be freed making you whimper as they bounced slightly. You finally grabbed Flo’s hand and led her to the bed, now that her back had need inspected there was no need to keep her vertical. She laid down gladly smiling a cocky little grin at you as yo straddled her and placed your hands around her boobs. One on each groping them and letting your thumbs rub against her nipples, those pretty little nipples that hardened so easily at your touch. You were making almost as much noise as Florence was, loving having her home, and thus far unscathed (besides her hands which would need attention at a later time). As you groped her boobs your body thrust slightly absentmindedly against her loving her noises and the sight of her before you. Finally you couldn’t take it anymore and leaned forward wrapping your lips around one of her nipples sucking hard and swirling your tongue around it as well as the rest of her breast.
Her breasts were sensitive, they always were, her moans were deep and she couldn’t help but grip your head against her. She loved the way you were excited just to please her, the way you knew perfectly how to make her moan no one else. You were her little genius. Your mouth had now moved on to the other nipple which had been only serviced by your fingers until this point. After a few moments and a few sucks that made Florences hips buck on their own accord you popped off of her breast. Mouth slick with your saliva and smiling at her you leaned down and kissed her deeply, she had the urge to flip you over, pin you down and fuck the shit out of you but she knew you’d be sad to not finish your “inspections.”
You lifted yourself from the kiss and slid off of your lovers body back to the floor she lay propped up on her elbows legs dangling off the bed as you stood between them fingering the hem and watching the way Flo’s skin got goosebumps and she whimpered slightly at the too-little-attention. With a smile you unbuttoned her Jeans, unzipped them, and pulled them all the way off of her. Every action had Florence’s breath coming out in shorter breaths there was no way she was going to survive this. So there she lay clad in only her underwear propped on her elbows mouth slightly ajar, eyes dilated, and hair messy. You wished you were an artist so that you could paint this, have it hung up and stare at it forever. She was glorious.
You began kissing her starting below her breast and going down stopping briefly at her belly button and small piercing that she must have put back in as soon as she was done with the adventure. Your tongue played with the piercing a little making flo go a little crazier as she flung herself back onto the bed. Then you continued again kissing to the hem of her underwear then down her thighs all the way to her feet and back up the next seeing again no injury or change from the last time you saw her you were satisfied that now you had only one more inspection to do and it was one of pleasure more than anything else.
Florence gritted her teeth as you slowly pulled her underwear off of her the wet spot on them being very large and telling you that she was throughly enjoying this inspection. Her pussy lay bare before you, untouched by injury, and wetter then anything you’d ever seen. You let out a groan just looking at her. You leaned forward and kissed her licking up the slit and flicking her engorged clit just once. Then you stood back up as she groaned in protest.
“Hold on Flo, one more thing to do before you can cum.” You say as you swiftly stick two fingers into her.
This was completely unnecessary for the injury check but it was a very fun add on in your opinion and Flo seemed to enjoy it as she moaned and thrust against your fingers. You began thrusting them in in out of her watching her fall apart before you when you knew what you wanted and pulled out your fingers.
“Y/N! Why did you do that?” Florence growled sitting up and threatening to pin you down and take what she wants from you.
“Can you lay back against the headboard Flo? I promise no more games.” You said smiling at her before sticking your wet fingers into your mouth causing her to groan as she sat back against the headboard.
You promptly striped and climbed up the bed and to her smiling brightly.
“What are you up to ?” Flo asked breathlessly
“I want us to rub against each other flo, please?” You whispered to her though there was no one else in your home
Her eyes widened and she exclaimed a great “God yes baby”
You positioned yourselves so you were straddled over her and as you looked into her eyes you lowered yourself onto her. The first touch alone was delicious from there it was all thrusting, pulling, and pushing. At first flo laid back and watched as you worked to not only please yourself but also her. At a certain point it got too much for her and she sat up wrapping her arms around your naked form and thrusting with you. Your bodies sliding perfectly against each other causing the most amazing feeling as the too of you left open mouthed kissed and hickies all over each other. When your moans got to that high pitched area and turned only into whimpers Florence knew you were close and she wasn’t far behind. She began thrusting harder the wetness from the two of you was all over the place and the noises it created only added to the effect of the thrusts. Then she felt you bite down on her shoulder hard and your hips stuttered against her. She let out a grunt at the bite and continued thrusting to her own release finally coming to a stop a few minutes later while praising you.
“Y/n, yes y/n, good girl good girl god you are the best girl!” She said her face stuffed into your hair with you moaning at the overstimulation of her continued thrusts
After a few minutes of slowly ending your thrusts the two of you repositioned yourselves so you laid facing each other, legs and arms wrapped around each other.
“Fuck I should go on dangerous adventures more often if this is what I get when I come home.” She said with a smile as she moved your hair from your face and kissed the blush rising to your cheeks and nose
“I am sorry for being a bit over protective flo I had to make sure you didn’t just say you weren’t injured to make me not worry.” You said sheepishly kissing her palms where the blisters lie
She smiled at you “ I know y/n, I know.”
God you were adorable.

Tumblr media
Since you joined the Avengers not too long ago, you’ve been training your arse off to impress the rest of the team, to show them you could be trusted and this is what you wanted, to make a difference. Wanda took you under her wing when the Avengers were on a mission, noticing your powers were similar to hers but all she saw was a scared woman who didn’t want to fight against those doing good.
You quickly became good friends with Natasha who agreed to help you train while Wanda would work with you to help you keep your powers under control. “Y/l/n, are you ready?” Natasha entered the compound’s kitchen. “Go easy on her today, Nat” Wanda looked up from her book. “Wanda, it’s fine” you smiled at them both before following Nat to the training room.
“What are we doing today?” you asked, eager to start your session. “Well, we’ve been training for what, 3 months now? I think you’re ready for a challenge” Nat replied. “I like the idea of that, what’s the challenge?” you asked as you both stopped at the entrance of the training room. Nat smirked at you then looked into the room. Yelena was doing her daily workout with a punching bag. “You’re gonna fight Yelena today” Nat spoke, turning her attention back to you. You watched as Yelena continued throwing punches at the large red bag. Natasha noticed a swift of deep green aura twinkle from your eyes. One of your powers was being able to see things in great detail, no matter how far you were from the object or person. Your eyes followed the sweat that Yelena had worked up. Nat tilted her head to the right slightly, watching the green aura dance around in your eyes.
“Will that be a problem?” Nat asked, making you blink instantly, your aura disappearing. “Sorry, you want me to fight…Y-, you want me to do what?” you struggled to word your sentence. “If you can take on Yelena, then we’ll move onto something more complex for you” Nat explained. “Just remember everything we’ve gone over the 3 months. You’ll be fine. Come on” she added, pushing the doors open. Hesitant to follow Nat into the training room, swallowing the gulp in your throat you remembered the things Wanda taught you to keep yourself calm. You weren’t angry but you found it hard to be around Yelena.
“Yelena, can we borrow you for a moment?” Nat walked over to the fighting ring in the middle of the room.
“Natasha, I am not in the mood for your games today. I just want to train in peace” the Russian accent was thick. “Please, it’s important. I need to see if Y/n here is ready to move on to the next step” Nat begged while you stood beside her, not making any eye contact with Yelena. “Agh, fine” she groaned, wiping the sweat from her forehead. Nat smiled, “Thank you” she spoke to Yelena then turned to you, “You’ve got this, just remember everything I’ve taught you,” she said before taking a seat to watch.
“I do not have all day, are you coming up here or not?” Yelena spoke to you, annoyed that Natasha interrupted her session. You nodded, still unable to make any eye contact with her.
You stood in the ring facing Yelena, eyes locked on the floor. “You have to look at me, y/n” she spoke again. Slowly raising your eyes, they met wither green eyes that you loved but would never admit it. “Okay you two, get on with it,” Nat said from her seat. You threw your first move at Yelena who easily blocked it. Throwing your next to one, just to be blocked again “This will be fun” Yelena chuckled to herself, making you even more nervous to fight her. You threw a 3rd move and within seconds Yelena had you on the floor of the fight ring looking down at you with a smirk. “Is that all you’ve got?” she asked. You got up and tried again, different moves this time. Natasha sat watching how unfocused you were. Yelena had you on the floor servals times before Natasha called it quits.
“Looks like she needs more time Natasha” Yelena commented as she left the ring, leaving you laying there looking at the ceiling. Natasha hovered of you, “What was that?” she asked confused, “I thought you had this” she added. You could feel your face starting to heat up from embarrassment. You quickly got up and avoided eye contact with Natasha. “I’m trying to teach you everything I know, if you’re just going to throw some basic moves how do you expect to learn anything? You should’ve been able to at least trip Yelena by now” Nat spoke in a harsh tone. “Nat, stop. I’ve had enough” you snapped, quickly leaving the ring walking towards the door. “Where are you going?” Natasha called out as you slammed the door closed with your powers.
Yelena looked back at Natasha, “Sore loser” she commented. “You could’ve gone easy on her” Nat replied. “How will she learn if I let her have it?” Yelena rolled her eyes.
You used your powers to fly yourself to the roof of the compound, sitting on the edge looking into the distance. “You just had to stuff it up. You couldn’t just fight her like you know you can” you spoke to yourself in frustration. Despite everybody being so kind and accepting of you here, you felt alone. You had no family and no friends to call your own. Now you’re at a compound with people who have grown to love each other as a family. You wanted a space to call your own, a place you could escape from when things like today get a bit too much. Your deep green aura glowed from your hands and eyes as you manipulated the trees in the distance to form a hidden spot just for you. Unaware Wanda standing behind you, watching you as your hands moved, throwing balls of green here and there before you flew over to your newly made comfort spot.
Before you could get comfortable Wanda unexpectedly joins you. “Are you okay?” her voice made you turn around, “agh, could I please just be left alone?” your tone was stern. Wanda shook her head. “You know, it’s okay” she stood there watching you. “No, it’s not. I just made a complete idiot of myself. Natasha has been training me for months and I could even fight Ye…I just couldn’t do it” you explained. Wanda’s head tilted ever so slightly at the fact you couldn’t even say Yelena’s name. “Take a moment to calm yourself, when you’re ready, come back to the training room, okay?” Wanda walked out, leaving you to have a moment to yourself. Rolling your eyes, you knew Natasha was going to make you train together whether you felt like it or not.
You took your time before returning to the training room where you were met with Natasha and Wanda. “Welcome back” Nat looked at you. You didn’t say anything. “Come here and let’s try again” she added. “Nat, I’m not going to fight” you paused, working up the nerve to say her name, “I won’t fight Yelena” you spat. “You’re not. You’re going to fight me” Wanda said, standing in the middle of the ring. You felt relieved you could show Natasha that you have actually learnt a lot from her. “Come on, get in there” Nat encouraged you with a smile.
You wasted no time; you go into the ring and under Nat’s strict rules of no powers you successfully showed Nat everything you’ve learnt. You had Wanda pinned to the floor of the ring multiple times, Wanda giving you a tough fight. Natasha stood, watching with a proud expression. She knew you could do it, just not with Yelena.
When Wanda left the room, Natasha came up beside you. “Why can’t you be around Yelena?” she asked softly hoping not to overstep. “I can” you lied. “Really?” Nat’s left eyebrow rising. “What? So, what, I couldn’t fight her, she’s too skilled for me right now” you excused.
“No, Y/n. You can fight her; you’re just fighting her in the wrong way”
“What do you mean? I’m not fighting her” you started to panic. “You can’t make eye contact with her; you struggle to say her name and turn into a whole different person around her. I say I think you know what I mean” Nat replied with a smirk. “Tell her, it’ll make things easier for you with an actual answer” the Russian added before leaving the room.
Natasha’s comment played on your mind for the next few days, this annoyed you. You wanted to ignore the way Yelena made you feel. Unsure how she felt you knew Natasha was right. “Get it off your chest,” you told yourself when it was just you and Yelena alone for once.
“Y…Yelena” you spoke softly. She looked at you with eyes of beauty and care. “Yes Y/n?” she questioned. Suddenly you got cold feet. “Noth…nothing, it’s fine. Sorry I bugged you” you spoke fast as you stood up from your seat. “Y/n” Yelena looked confused. “I’m sorry, I have to go” you chattered. “Y/n, sit down” Yelena’s voice was stern, kind of scared you a little but you sat back down, not making eye contact with her. “What is going through your mind?” she asked. Shaking your head, “Nothing, I just, its, nothing” you studder. “Y/n, if you have a problem with me, tell me.” Yelena now has the wrong idea of you and the way you were around her. “I don’t hate you, Yelena, don’t think that” you looked at her.
“If that is true, why do you act so” she paused trying to think of a nice way to explain it. “I like you” the words running out of your mouth. Yelena smirked at you. “I was hoping that’s what this was” she replied. “You knew?” her comment surprised you. Yelena chuckled, “Y/n, I am not stupid. I knew” her smirk grew bigger. “Why didn’t you just, I don’t know, tell me to leave you alone or something?” you asked, still unsure where her feelings sat. “Because I didn’t want you to. I was waiting for you to say it”
“You were?”
“Yes. I knew you would one day, I was hoping for it to be sooner but what can you do?” Yelena winked at you causing you to blush. “Come here so I can finally kiss you” Yelena spoke without breaking any eye contact. With pleasure, you stood up and walked over to her. Gently taking her face into your hands she stood up, placing her hands on your waist, and pulled you in softly, kissing your lips with care. “Say it again, please” Yelena smiled as you pulled away, looking at her deeply in the eyes, “I like you Yelena Belova” you smirked.

I Wanna Be In Love
Tumblr media
Summary: Soulmates were overrated. They added nothing to the world besides seeing color which wasn't important to Yelena but every time she sees her family with their soul mates she can't help but feel jealous. A little trip to a small town to clear her head, she wasn't expecting to see the world in color.
Warning: soulmate AU, fluff, violence, gun shots, mention of past abuse, mention of killing, cult, injuries, blood, kidnapping?
Word Count: 6.2k
Soulmates were overrated. Yelena was too busy to find her soulmate. They were distractions, and she didn’t need to see color for her job. She didn’t care that she couldn’t see the color of Fanny’s fur or the flowers in Melina’s garden. It didn’t bother her that she had to watch everyone around her interact with their soulmate and see the world in color. She was fine. Those were the thoughts that Yelena kept running through her mind. Every. Single. Day. She crossed paths with many people: Red Room missions, contract work with Valentina, and now her time with the Avengers. Still, her vision remained in black and white. “Are you okay?” Kate asked, sitting down next to her. Yelena was sipping coffee, watching her sister and Maria in the kitchen. Maria was cooking a simple meal for lunch, and it smelt amazing. It would have been done by now, but Natasha kept distracting her. She wrapped her arms around the brunette’s waist or spun her around to kiss her. It was gross. It’s cute but gross.
“I’m fine,” The archer chuckled.
“Yeah, sure, because you look like you’re going to murder your sister,” Yelena sighed, staring into the coffee. “Do you want advice or for me to leave you alone?” The blonde shrugged. Even Kate found her soulmate, a girl she met in college. She was nice. Yelena liked her.
“I want,” Yelena paused, struggling to find the words. Her sister’s laughter caught her attention. This time, Maria had her arms around the redhead, tickling at her sides. A deep ache filled Yelena, a tightness in her chest. “To be in love.” She admitted. Yelena grabbed her coffee and left the archer to get a word out.
*
Yelena needed to go for a drive. So she packed a few things in her truck for her and Fanny and left the compound. She told her sister and Kate that she needed a small break from missions. They knew an underlying reason for her leaving, but they didn’t question it. Yelena drove with the radio softly on, her best friend in the passenger seat, and no destination in mind. She tried to date, ignoring the soulmate and forcing a relationship to work, but they never did. There was no spark, no flip in her stomach, and her heart didn’t skip. So the relationship ended, and Yelena was left with the constant wonder of what it would feel like to be in love. She wanted the daydreams, jealousy, and all the little things that came with yearning. She wanted the warmth to flood her head.
Her Bluetooth ringing cut through the song she was listening to and her racing thoughts. It was Natasha. With a sigh, she answered the call. “The world better be on fire right now.”
“Ha, ha, ha, very funny,” Yelena rolled her eyes, offering Fanny some pets as she got excited from hearing Natasha’s voice. “The world is above to be covered in ice and snow,” Yelena frowned. “There is a winter storm warning. You picked a horrible time to go on a self-reflection journey.” The blonde looked at the sky. It was cloudy, and she did notice the temperature dropping. “Where are you?”
“No idea,” she shrugged.
“Sestra…” Natasha sighed.
“I just passed an existing sign for a small town,” the blonde said. “I’ll stop there and wait out the weather.” Yelena could see the tension leaving her sister’s shoulders.
“Okay, text me when you get somewhere safe.” The two Black Widow sisters said their goodbyes, and Yelena sighed when the call ended. This was not part of her plan.
*
The town of Chester was the spitting image of one of those towns in the cheesy Christmas movies Kate forced her to watch. A mountain that was blanked with snow set the background. The buildings were brick, and a bell tower was at the center of the town. It was cute - peaceful even. A little too friendly as Yelena got out of her truck and was greeted with a smile or wave from those walking on the sidewalk. She put a leash on Fanny’s collar. The American Akita was great off-leash, but the duo was in a new place, and she wasn’t sure how the town felt about a random dog. She put her backpack on and headed to the hotel. It was a quick Google search to determine if the hotel was pet-friendly. The hotel lobby was warm to the point Yelena unzipped her jacket. It was coming from the fireplace with couches and tables around it. It reminded Yelena of the lob cabin that Tony built. The place felt homey. She walked over to the front desk, holding onto Fanny’s leash tightly.
“What a beautiful dog,” her name tag said Linda. “What’s her name?”
“Uh, Fanny,” Yelena said. She was surprised the older woman didn’t bat an eye at her accent. The Akita sat down. “I was wondering if you have any available rooms.” Linda turned to face her computer.
“How long do you plan on staying?” That was a great question.
“Not sure,” she raised a questioning eyebrow at the blonde. “I needed a break from work.” Fanny tugged at the leash as Linda gave her an understanding smile.
“I understand that, dear. I need a card to put on file, and I’ll get you all checked in.” Another tug from Fanny’s leash. Odd. As Yelena went to pull out her wallet, Fanny tugged again, and the lease left Yelena’s hand.
“Fanny,” she called out to her dog. “I’m so sorry. Give me one second.” Yelena chased after the dog, who was circling a guest. You were holding a few books and laughing as you tried to move around Fanny’s leash. “I’m so sorry. Fanny, prikhodit’ (come).” The dog stopped and sat next to her owner. You giggled, finally looking up at the Black Widow. The air was knocked out of Yelena’s lungs. Color. She was the color of the wooden lobby she was standing in, the color of the books you held, and your shirt. “Purple,” she whispered. “Your shirt is purple, right?” Natasha loved to spend hours describing colors in words that Yelena could understand. You seemed just as stunned. Your mouth kept opening and closing.
“Yeah,” you said, licking your lips. “I mean, that’s what people tell me.” Your eyes locked with hers. “Green,” you whispered. “Your eyes are green.” Yelena knew that. Natasha spent a whole day describing the colors of her eyes. “I’m Y/n,” Yelena whispered your name back.
“Yelena. It’s nice to meet you.”
*
The Black Widow was sure she would pace a hole into the floor while Fanny lay on the bed. She spent 20 minutes staring at her reflection. The green of her eyes. Her blonde hair. The colors of the ringers that laced her fingers. She spent the next 10 minutes scrolling through her photos. She saw the red of her sister’s hair, the blue of Kate’s eyes, and the color of the pigs at Melina’s farm. She saw color, and it was beautiful. She opened the text message chain with Natasha. ‘Found a place to stay,’ ‘All checked in,’ ‘Call me when you can.’ She stared at the messages as the minutes clicked by. Finally, her phone rang, but it wasn’t her sister’s voice. “Hello,” Kate said.
“Where’s Natasha?”
“Yelling at Tony and Steve,” the blonde called, hearing the faint yelling in the background. Yelena sat on the bed. Immediately, Fanny rested her head on her lap. She ran her fingers through her white and brown tinted fur.
“Do I need to come back?”
“Nah, she’s got it covered. So what’s up?” Yelena closed her eyes, pinching the bridge of her nose.
“I found her,” she whispered. “I can see color.” The archer was silent on the other end. She wondered if the call dropped, but she did hear rustling on the other end. “Kate Bishop,” Yelena spoke slowly.
“Sorry,” Kate sighed. “Tell us everything.”
*
This was normal. You were outside your newly found soulmates’ room with sweets and a hot chocolate tray. It was normal that you raced home, had a minor panic attack, changed into something cuter, and begged Linda to get Yelena’s room number. Completely normal. Before you lost your nerve, you knocked on the door. You heard movement on the other side, and the door finally opened. Her confused face morphed into a smile. “Hi,”
“Hi,” you said, a little out of breath. Her eyes were memorizing. They were a gorgeous shade of green. You realized you were staring, and your body felt warm from embarrassment. “I don’t know what I’m doing,” you admitted. “But I brought hot chocolate, and maybe we can talk.” Her smile grew.
“Yeah, let me take this for you,” she took the tray from you and held open the door to her room. She set the tray on the table, and you shut the door. Her dog jumped from her spot and ran over to you. You knelt to pet her.
“You are a gorgeous, gorgeous girl,” she rewarded you with a few kisses. You looked at Yelena, who was holding one of the mugs and had a fond smile on her face. “Sorry.”
“Please don’t apologize; it’s cute.” Her statement made you feel even more embarrassed. You stood up, taking the mug she offered. “Do you want to sit here or on the bed, or we can stand,” you giggled. Her cheeks blushed a light pink. “I also have no idea what I’m doing.”
“We can sit here and talk,” you said, sat at the table, and decorated the top of your drink with marshmallows and sprinkles. She sat down next to you, sipping the hot chocolate.
“This is good,” you smiled at her praise. “So tell me about yourself.” You did. You were working at the library while studying to get your degree in environmental science. You’ve lived in Chester for seven years. “Where did you live before this?” You felt your blood turn cold. She was your soulmate, destined to be together or some shit. She would understand, right?
“Uh, Florida,” you sipped on your hot chocolate.
“Florida?” She questioned. “You left the sunshine state for eternal winter.” You giggled.
“Complicated on why I left,” you looked out her window. The snow was coming down harder. “Besides, I love the snow.” Snow meant you weren’t a prisoner. Snow told you escaped. Snow meant freedom.
“Do you need to head out before it gets worse?”
“Kicking me out already?” You teased. Her eyes widened. “I’m kidding. I can leave if you want me to.” She shook her head.
“No, stay, please.”
“Okay,” you smiled. “So why did you choose to study environmental science?” You spent the next few hours learning about one another. It got close to dinner time, so Yelena ordered room service to her room. It was a simple plate of burgers and fries that you tried to help pay for, but she refused your money. It was oddly lovely learning about the Avenger, significantly since you believed you’d never find your soulmate. You spent your entire life trapped on your father’s property, hidden from the world. Until you saved enough money and ran, ran, and ran some more. This small town of Chester welcomed you and didn’t question your mysterious past.
You found yourself laughing at a story Yelena was telling you. “Why did you fill her entire room with rubber ducks?” You asked once your laughter died down. Yelena smiled
“Kate Bishop, Peter Parker, and I are involved in a serious prank war,” she explained. “She died my suits hot pink, so I filled her room with 500 rubber ducks.” You giggled, glancing at the clock. It was almost 10 o’clock.
“I should get going,” you said. “You’ve had a long day of traveling.” Something flashed in her green eyes that you missed, but she smiled.
“Yeah, it’s probably for the best.” You helped her clean up the food and put the extra in her fridge. You gave Fanny extra belly rubs before Yelena walked you to the door. “Here,” she handed you a piece of paper with her number. “I should have given you this when we met,” you giggled, putting it in your pocket, then slipped your jacket on.
“I could have done the same,” you began to play with the ring on your finger. It was a gift from your mother. “There is a diner in town that serves amazing breakfast. Do you want to meet there in the morning?” Her smile grew.
“I’d love to. Text me the name,” you nodded. There was this awkward pass between you and her, unsure of how to end this. “You could stay,” she whispered. “Because of the weather.” She added on quickly. You wanted to. Some of you wanted to know what it felt like to be held in her arms, or would she want you to hold her? You sighed.
“I want to, but I shouldn’t. We should take this slow.” Yelena nodded, slipping her hands in her pockets and looking down at her feet. You gathered up some courage and took a step forward in her space. Gently, you lifted her head and kissed her cheek. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Yeah,” her cheeks were flushed. “Yeah, I’ll see you tomorrow.” You smiled and turned to leave, but her hand grabbed yours, spun you back around, and connected her lips with yours. You tensed up, not expecting her to kiss you. She pulled away. “I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I’ve been thinking about-” You cut her off with a kiss. The feeling of her lips on yours was a feeling you would get addicted to. You moved your hands to cup her cheeks and pulled her closer. Fanny barked, and it startled you apart. Yelena groaned, her head falling onto your shoulder. You chuckled.
“I’ll text you when I’m back safe, okay?” You kissed her one more time before leaving her room. You rested your back on the closed door, touching your fingers to your lips. They tingled as you still felt her lips against yours. Smiling, you left the hotel and walked back to your apartment.
*
‘I’m back. It was amazing getting to know you. See you in the morning.’ Yelena smiled at her phone. “Ooo, it’s that the new boo,” Natasha teased. Yelena groaned, flopping onto her back while on a video call with her sister. “When do we get to meet her?
“I do not know,” Yelena sighed. “She’s lived here for seven years. I can’t force her to leave.” But Yelena was worried about the life you left behind, the life you weren’t discussing. You gave no details - Yelena wasn’t stupid, though. She was a former Red Room assassin, a hired gun, and now an Avenger. She made it this far because she listened to her instincts. You were scared.
“You have your thinking face on,” the blonde rolled her eyes. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” she said, but she knew Natasha did not believe her. She could use her connections to discover the truth, but that was a breach of trust. “I’m going to bed. It’s been a long day. I’ll talk to you tomorrow, sestra.” The two sisters said goodnight, and Yelena set her alarm for the morning. She put her phone on the nightstand and cuddled up with Fanny. The dog rested her head on Yelena’s chest. “How did you know?” She asked, scratching her head. “Or did you just find her cute?” Fanny liked her hand. “You are a great wingdog.” She chuckled and closed her eyes. It was a busy day, and sleep found her quickly.
*
The smell of coffee and cinnamon filled your senses as you opened the door to The Lighthouse. It was warm, a stark contrast to the temperatures outside. You saw Yelena in the corner, back to the kitchen, and she faced the door. Smiling, you walked over to her. “Hi,” you said, removing your scarf and placing it on the hook. “I hope you weren’t waiting long.” She shook her head as she stood up, helped you out of your jacket, and hung it up.
“I wasn’t,” you sat down. “I just ordered some coffee.” You grabbed her hand, running your thumb over her knuckles. She smiled at the gesture. You determined you loved making her smile. “Now tell me what to get.”
You ordered the waffles with strawberries on top, and Yelena got the pancakes with scrambled eggs. Once breakfast was done, you argued with Yelena about who would pay (you won) and went back to the hotel room to get Fanny. You showed them around your tiny home, the best views of the mountains, where the kids went ice skating, and the route for the parade for every major holiday.
You sat on a bench near the park, watching Fanny run around in the snow. Your head was resting on Yelena’s shoulder, fingers intertwined with hers. “How long are you staying here?” You felt her shoulders move up and down as she sighed.
“Not sure,” she kissed the top of your head. “As long as I can, but we’ll figure it out, okay?”
“Yeah,” you smiled. ‘We’ll figure it out.”
*
Yelena should have known better. Her happiness would get stripped away as soon as the world was kind to her. It happened when she was six and blipped, resulting in her losing five years. It was not a surprise when she found her soulmate; Avenger duties would call. You were very understanding, but Yelena could see the disappointment on your face as you said goodbye to her and Fanny. The Black Would promised to call and visit as soon as possible. You kissed her softly, telling her to stay safe. It was one of the hardest goodbyes she had to make. Her teammates knew she was upset when she returned to the compound after being away for four days. But she had an obligation, an annoying obligation, but an obligation nonetheless. So she was on a mission with your lips on hers, the phantom feeling of your fingers playing with her rings, and your smile on her mind. It was those things, and the promise to see you kept her going.
*
Yelena dropped her bag to the ground as soon as she entered her room. Her body ached, and she screamed for a day off. She returned from a two-month deep undercover mission. That type of work was her favorite; convincing the people around her she was someone else was thrilling, but she was glad to be home. The bad guys were caught, and it was time to relax. She lay on her bed and pulled out her phone. There was limited contact, so it was quick text messages between you and Yelena. No phone calls meant Yelena was dying to hear your voice, but she knew you were at work. She sent a quick test, ‘Back home. Call me when you’re done. Miss you.’ She ensured her ringer was up before setting it on her side table. Sleep was quick to follow the Black Widow.
The shrill sound of her phone ringing woke her up. Though her eyes were laced with sleep, she didn’t recognize the number. “Hello?” She answered.
“Hi, this is Miss. Yelena, right?” The blonde sat up.
“Speaking, can I ask whose calling?” She knew that voice, but her sleep-deprived brain had trouble connecting.
“Oh, I’m sorry, it’s Linda, the owner of the Woodland Hotel. I do apologize for intruding, and I got your number from when you checked in,” Linda explained. “Oh, this is a complete breach of privacy.”
“Linda,” Yelena cut off her nervous rambling. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s Y/n,” the owner of the hotel said. The blonde was quick to her feet, still wearing the clothes she returned in, and walked over to her room. “She is going to kill me when she finds out I called you.”
“Is she in danger?” She took the stairs two at a time to get to her sister’s room and banged on the door. Maria opened the door, and she pushed past her sister’s girlfriend.
“Yes,” Linda said. “You need to get Chester quickly.”
*
Your hands wouldn’t stop shaking as you walked the typical streets of Chester, where you once felt safe. They were here. You weren’t sure how your father’s me found you, but they did. They were waiting - they sat at the diner you and Yelena ate at or checked in at the Woodland Hotel. But you weren’t sure what they were waiting for, so you were trapped. You took your keys out of your bag and unlocked the door, quickly going in and locking the door. You made a beeline for your bedroom, slamming the door closed and pushing our dresser in front of it. Dumping the contents of your bag on your bed, you find your phone and see the missed message from Yelena. You hesitated on calling the blonde. This was your mess, and she had just returned from a mission. With a sigh, you hit the call button. “Sweetheart,” you sounded panicked.
“Hi baby,” you tried to keep your voice steady, but you knew she heard it. “I’m in a little bit of trouble.” She laughed.
“I know,” she knew? She knew? How the hell-oh you were going to kill Linda. “I’m almost there. Where are you?”
“My apartment,” you walked into your closet and used your thumb to open up a small gun safe. “Front door is locked, and I pushed my dresser against my bedroom door,” you felt oddly calm. Something about hearing Yelena’s voice made you believe you would be okay. You loaded the pistol and put two extra magazines in your back pocket. “There are 5 of them. Probably armored with an assault rifle, pistol, and a knife.” You grabbed the knife that your father gave you for your 5th birthday. The man was a leader of a religious doomsday cult; he taught you how to be around weapons. “They are only here to capture me, but they’ll kill anyone in their way.” Yelena was quiet.
“Impressive,” you chuckled, putting the phone on speaker.
“I’ve been running from them for a long time,” you said, removing your shirt and putting on a bulletproof vest.
“Who are they?” A voice you didn’t know asked. “Natasha.” Damn, she was bringing the cavalry. You toed off your sneakers and wore combat boots and a new long-sleeved shirt.
“They call themselves the Arms,” you sighed. This was not how you wanted to tell her. “They are part of the security for my father.”
“And who is your father?” Another voice asked. “Kate.” She added on. You closed your eyes.
“Vincent Pierce.”
“Vincent Pierce,” a new voice repeated, and you knew the name. “Your soulmate is the daughter of a man on the FBI and Shield’s most wanted list.” You chuckled darkly.
“She didn’t know,” you said. “Not something I like to talk about on the first date.” You got Kate to laugh. “If I get out of this, I’ll help you put the son of a bitch in jail.”
“Not if,” Yelena said. You heard her take you off speaker and walk away. “When you get out of this.” You sighed. She was so unaware of the power your father had.
“Lena, if-”
“No,” she snapped. “We are 15 minutes out.” You heard a bang on your front door. “Do you have a weapon?”
“Pistol and a knife. I have two extra magazines.” Another bang forced you to stand up and undo the safety of the gun. You were so tired of the power that man had over you. You’ve been free from him for years, but you should have known better. His power was like a vice grip on your neck as long as he was alive. You were squeezing until you couldn’t breathe. It was so unfair.
Everyone dreamed of finding their soulmate and having that happily ever after. Your mom talked about finding hers one day. She spent her entire life seeing the world in black and white. “I love you,” Yelena laughed.
“Say that again when your life isn’t threatened,” she said. “Promise?”
“Promise.” You were going to keep that promise.
*
The small town of Chester erupted into chaos as the sounds of gunshots came from your apartment. You told Yelena there were only 2 of them before the line went dead, so they were missing 3. Kate and Yelena ran towards your apartment. She didn’t expect the second time being here to save you from your cult leader father’s minions.
The front door was on the ground, and Yelena already had her gun out. It was too quiet for her, and a man was lying face down in a pool of blood. The archer walked over and checked his pulse. She shook her head. They moved into your room and saw another body, and you were barely holding yourself up. Panic filled Yelena as she rushed over to you. “I’m fine,” you said. She saw no blood, but she pulled up your shirt and stared at the bulletproof vest that saved your life.
“Oh, dorogoy (sweetheart),” you chuckled, and Yelena kissed you so intensely that the world around her was drowned out until Kate cleared her throat.
“I love this for both of you,” the archer smiled. Yelena felt you burrow your face in the crook of her neck. “But I think we should get a move on.” The Black Widow sighed.
“Your right,” Yelena said. “Sorry.” Kate shrugged.
“Give me a second,” Yelena reluctantly let you go, and you walked into your closet, taking off the ripped shirt and the bulletproof vest. You grabbed a sweatshirt before turning around to face them, making sure it covered the pistol that was attached to your hip. The blonde could see a bruise forming on your stomach. “I’m down to one magazine,” you checked your gun.
“I have an extra one you can have,” Yelena told you. “We have her.” She said through the coms. Kate handed you an extra one to put in your ear.
“2 of the men have been dealt with,” Kate added.
“Do we have eyes on the other 3?” You asked. Yelena was impressed. You were handling this well, almost as if you were a shield agent. Once this was over, she could convince you to join the team.
‘Negative,’ Natasha said as Yelena led the group down the stairs and out your apartment door. The town was quiet. It was up to Maria to get all the civilizations back inside their house. ‘Has anyone seen or heard from Maria?’
“No,” Yelena answered her sister. “Do you want us to look for her or meet at the Randevu point?” The redhead sighed, and Yelena knew the internal debate she was having.
‘Get your girl to safety,’ Yelenafelt you grab her hand. Her girl. Her soulmate - who was still in danger and needed to get out of this place.
“Little bunny,” you froze, feet stopping in the snow. Yelena looked towards the direction of the voice. Vincent Pierce was decked out in his signature red suit, and 2 men were on either side. The color drained from your face. “Little bunny, it’s time to come home.”
*
“Little bunny, it’s time to come home,” the nickname made the little food in your stomach flip. It was once a name that provided comfort, a sign of love, but like everything your father touched, it turned to poison. You dropped Yelena’s hand and faced him. Now that you could see color, the suit was hideous - aviator glasses on and his hair slicked back with gel. “My, my, my,” he took off the sunglasses and handed them to the man on his left. “You’ve grown up.”
“It’s been a while, but I don’t have time for a family reunion. I have somewhere important to be.” You grabbed Yelena’s hand and began to walk away, but the sound of assault rifles being pointed at you caused the three of you to stop.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he said. “Bring you out.” You spun around quickly to see the third man drag a woman. She was handcuffed, and they pushed her down to her knees in front of your father.
“Maria,” you looked at Kate. There was blood dripping down the side of her head. She was pissed, but at least she was alive. You heard Natasha mutter something in Russia.
“She a friend of yours,” your father taunted.
“Let her go,” you held up your arms to stop Yelena and Kate.
“Stop,” you said to all three of them. This had to be done carefully, or they would all go home in body bags. “What do you want, Vincent? She has nothing to do with this.” You pointed to Maria.
“She does, little bunny because she and the other Avengers are keeping you away from me,” of course. The man was obsessed with control. You were surprised he’d kept you alive this long.
‘Keep him talking,’ Natasha said. ‘I’m almost in position.’ You could do that. He loved to talk.
“Why do you want me to go with you so bad?” You questioned. “Don’t you have enough people under your control?”
“Because you are my daughter,” you scuffed. You were a pawn, another tool used so he could convince others to join him. The same went for your mom. “And I’m the only one who can protect you from the Rapture.” You rolled your eyes.
“I’m not a little girl anymore that will feed into your lies,” you took a deep breath. “I see right through them just like mom did.” You knew bringing her up would strike a nerve. His jaw clenched.
“Your mother was a nonbeliever,” he repeated the same lie. “She was a danger to the cult and you.”
“We need to end this,” Yelena mumbled. “The three min’ony (minions) are getting antsy.” They were. You saw their posture change.
“No,” you said, your hand grazing the pistol on your hip. “You killed her because she wanted to leave. You killed her,” you grabbed your pistol and ignored the way Yelena tried to warn you. “Natasha, get ready,” you mumbled. “Just like how I’m going to kill you.” You drew your pistol at him. Immediately, three assault rifles were pointed at you, and Kate and Yelena drew their weapons. When you fled your father’s prison, you bounced between roadside motels, and every night, without fail, there would be an old Western movie would be on TV. You felt like you were in one now. Maria sat up straighter, fidgeting with the cuffs on her wrist. Your father smiled.
“You won’t kill me,” you undid the safety on the gun. “You don’t have the guts, the strength. That’s the one thing I couldn’t beat into you,” your palm began to feel sweaty. It took weeks for some of the bruises to fade. “You are a weak, spineless little girl, just like your mother.” Oh, you wanted to kill the bastard, but you couldn’t. So you lowered your gun.
“Your right,” you said. You saw Maria nod her head. “I can’t kill you.” You smiled. “But my friend can hurt you. We still need to find the people you’ve held hostage.” It happened rather quickly. A single shot ran through the small town, and a bullet hit your father in the leg. Kate hit the man on the left, and Yelena shot the man on the right. Which left the man that brought Maria out; the brunette kicked her leg out and tripped the man. She jumped up, grabbed him by his winter coat, and punched him until he stopped moving.
The snow crunched below on your feet as you approached your father. There was red staining the snow. “Are you alright?” Yelena asked Maria. The brunette nodded.
“You know, I just had to dislocate my thumbs to break free,” you chuckled, but your eyes remained on the man. He was clenching his leg, which had the bullet wound in it.
“Don’t just stand there, you bitch,” he hissed. “Do something before I bleed out.”
“You don’t get to speak to her like that,” Yelena pulled her pistol on her. “You have no power over her.” There was a small part in you that wanted her to pull the trigger, to kill the monster that haunted your dreams, but it wouldn’t end it. Another one of his men would take his spot. You stepped before her, back to your father, and wrapped your arms around her body.
“Don’t,” you whispered, kissing her neck. “He’s not worth it.” Vincent laughed. The sound caused goosebumps to cover your skin.
“You found her,” you turned to face him as Kate forced the man up and handcuffed him. “You found your soulmate. How adorable.” He lunged forward, but Kate held him back. “Just because I’ll be locked away, this won’t end. The Rapture -” The archer punched him and fell back into the snow.
“That man needs to learn to shut up,” she shook her hand. “He’s got a hard jaw.” You laughed as you heard the sound of hurried footsteps against the snow. A redhead ran over to Maria, wrapping her arms around her; the force lifted her slightly. You smiled at the sight. Yelena tilted your head to look at her.
“Say it,” she whispered.
“I love you, Yelena Belova.” You said without hesitation. Yeah, it was good to keep your promise.
*
“We found it,” Maria placed the file on the table before you. You were at the Avenger’s Compound. It didn’t take much convincing for you to make a move until your father was prosecuted and sent to the RAFT. You’ve helped Maria bring down The True Creed for the past week. It was tasking, all the things you had to relive that you wanted to forget. Fanny stood up from her spot underneath the table and rested her head on your lap. The American Akita was your source of comfort when Yelena wasn’t around. Inside the folder were SHIELD agents raiding your father’s compound. “We are working with local officials to get everyone home safe and the help they need to recover.”
“It’s over?” You questioned, looking at the deputy director. She smiled, placing a comforting on your shoulder.
“It’s over. Your father or his men can’t hurt you or anyone else.” You let out a shaky breath. You never thought you would see this day. Freedom. You could go anywhere without having to look over your shoulder.
“Thank you, Maria,” you put the pictures back in the folder and handed them back to her. “I don’t know how I’ll be able to repay you.”
“Shut up,” she huffed, hitting your head with the file. “We should be thanking you.” You rubbed the back of your head with a pout. “So, what’s the plan now?” She asked. “Got to high tail it out of here and travel the world.” You laughed, scratching Fanny’s head.
“Yeah, maybe,” she hit the file against her hand.
“Well, do it. You deserve it.” You talked with her a bit about helping those under your father’s ‘brain control’ until Natasha pulled her away. She claimed that since the case was over, they could spend some time together. You smiled and looked down at the dog.
“Come on, sweet girl, let’s go find your mama,” it wasn’t hard to find the blonde. She was in the kitchen making a big pot of mac and cheese. You weren’t sure how she could stomach so much of the cheesy noddles. You wrapped your arms around her waist. Immediately, she leaned back into your embrace. “Smells good, baby,” you said, kissing her neck.
“Mmmm, it’s almost done,” she said. You kept kissing her neck. “If someone will stop distracting me.” She pushed you away playfully. Pouting, you gave her some space. It lasted 30 seconds.
“Baby, can I see your eyes?” She huffed, shook her head, and turned down the food. The color of her eyes still took your breath away. The green reminded you of chasing fireflies - their light would warm the night. Her eyes were like emeralds, like four-lead clovers; when you found them, you would have luck. Green was Mother Nature’s favorite color. The color was a healthy sign of love. It was unbelievable you went so long without seeing that color. “You are beautiful, Yelena Belova,” the blonde rolled her eyes.
“And you are a sap,” she teased but couldn’t fight the smile on her face. “What do you want?” You held out your hand, and she took it.
“Maria said it’s over,” her eyes lit up. “We can go anywhere we want to do.” Late nights were spent in each other’s arms, dreaming of seeing the world together. But Yelena wanted to wait until you were safe and could enjoy your time.
“Really?” She questioned. You nodded with a smile. “We are going to visit St. Petersburg first. I want to see the pigs.” You laughed as Yelena pulled you into her arms. Her lips briefly brushed against yours. “I love you, Deka.” You smiled, heart, skipping at the simple three-letter word.
“I love you too.”

A few years ago you took the opportunity to join the Avengers. You went on missions with them and after a while you became very close to the other Avengers. When Natasha introduced Yelena to you a year ago, you immediately got along with her. After a few months, you and Yelena became very good friends, but you also started to have feelings for her. Just like Yelena did for you.
But you both decided to keep your feelings a secret from each other until you suddenly confessed your feelings on the following day:
It’s been a while since you’ve seen and talked to Yelena. Because you had a crush on her you wanted to put some distance between the two of you but this wasn’t easy because you started missing her a lot.
That day you went to the compound for a meeting with the other Avengers. You got there on time and as you walked towards the elevator you saw Yelena go in as well.
“Please wait for me!” You yelled and Yelena turned around and started smiling when she saw you.
“Only if you hurry up!” She yelled back, making you laugh. You walked to Yelena. After greeting each other, she pressed the button for the floor where the meeting would take place. Silence began to grow between the two of you and you didn’t know what to say. You got nervous and looked around, and when you saw the buttons of the elevator you suddenly got an idea. You looked at Yelena with a smile. She noticed your smile and started to chuckle.
“What got you smiling like that?” She asked curiously.
“What do you think would happen if I clicked all the buttons?”
“I’m not sure, but I don’t think that would be a good idea.” Yelena said.
“But I think it would be interesting and fun to see what happens.” You said excitedly.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, Y/N.” Yelena warned you again, but you were already standing next to the buttons and started clicking all of them. It looked funny how all the buttons started to light up, but then suddenly the elevator stopped, the light went out and you flinched.
“I told you this isn’t a good idea.” Yelena said annoyed, but when the light came back on, she saw a scared and panicked look on your face. You were so nervous and started clicking the button, hoping that the door would open. You were so nervous that you didn’t even hear Yelena say your name.
“Oh, noo noo. This can’t happen.”
“Shit, I’m stuck…I’m stuck in an elevator.” Out of nervousness you started playing with your hands. Yelena moved closer to you and gently placed her hand on yours to make you stop. She smiled at you and gently moved her thumb over your hands. You began to calm down and took deep breaths with her.
“Hey, it’s okay, you’re not alone.” Yelena said after a while.
“Shit, you’re right. I’m stuck with you…the person I have a crush on.” You suddenly confessed out of panic. You quickly pulled your hand away from Yelena and covered your mouth.
“What did you just say?” Yelena asked.
“Oh no, I didn’t want you to find it out like that.”
“So, you really have a crush on me?” Yelena asked with a grin and you got nervous again.
“Yeah, now you know my secret.” You confessed and Yelena came closer to you. So, that there were only a few inches between the two of you.
“What would you say if I told you that I have feelings for you too?” Yelena asked and you began to blush.
“You do?” You asked quietly and Yelena nodded. You started to smile, and Yelena took the last step between the two of you.
“Is it okay if I kiss you?” She asked softly and all you could do was nod, which made Yelena chuckle.
“Are you sure?” She asked again.
“I’m so sure.” You said, making her smile. Yelena placed her hand on your cheek and smiled at you. You couldn’t wait for her to kiss you any longer, so you pulled her closer and kisser her. You could feel Yelena begin to smile as your lips touched hers. The kiss started gently but then became more passionate. You enjoyed the kiss so much that you completely forgot where you were until suddenly a sound was to hear and the elevator door opened. Yelena and you quickly let go of each other and looked at the elevator door where Natasha was standing, grinning at the two of you. She just looked at the two of you, nodded at you, then turned around and walked away. You looked at Yelena and you both started to laugh.
“That was so weird.” You said after you stopped laughing.
“Yeah, it was.” Yelena said and you looked at the clock on your phone.
“We missed the meeting.” You confirmed.
“Would you like to have a coffee somewhere?” Yelena asked and you started to smile.
“Sure” you said and walked back into the elevator. Yelena pressed the button in the elevator, but this time you stayed by her side and held her hand instead of pressing all the buttons.
You went to a coffee shop not far away from here and enjoyed the evening together. Later that day, Natasha told you everything important from the meeting and that she is really happy for both of you. Exactly like you and Yelena are. You still can’t believe that Yelena feels the same way about you, but it also makes you so happy.

Challenge - Bucky Barnes x Yelena Belova
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
"Well..." Bucky clears his throat. "This is awkward."
"It's not awkward."
"Really? Well for starters there's not much leg room?"
"Not my fault you are so fucking tall."
"Me? I thought your ego was taking up the space."
Yelena glares at him. Bucky faced her with a smirk on his lips.
The mission was simple go in, gather intel and later regroup with the others and plan their next steps. Yelena wanted to ride this mission solo but Barnes decided to tag along insisting she needs back up. The White Widow protested tried everything she could to get out of this but unfortunately the others all thought it was a good idea. Yelena even turned to Alexei silently pleading for him to step in but instead he nodded and agreed that it is a good idea.
This happened to be the one time where Yelena hoped Alexei would develop some sort of fatherly instincts and go into a crazy fit at the thought of his baby girl being alone with a guy and not just any guy but the fucking Winter Soldier but no Alexei was all for it.
Well screw him.
As soon as they stepped off the helicopter Yelena told Barnes to stay out of her away she wasn't in the mood for social chit out and she most certainly wasn't in the mood to deal with him. Yelena didn't hate Bucky he was more of a pain in the ass than anything they always argued, always competed against each other, and that smirk that damm smirk he kept giving her irritated the Hell out of her.
He is giving her that annoying smirk now as they are pressed against each other in a closet. His back is up against the wall with her leaning into his chest. She tried to wriggle and find other positions but everywhere she went she found herself face first into his chest.
Fuck!
He had the nerve to say this is awkward?
It's worse for her!
Yelena wasn't going to blush or be embarrassed no way not in front of him. She would happily give him a good kick if there wasn't people outside.
Yelena couldn't understand how this happened. Valentina said Helge and his men would be out at a meeting and they won't suppose to be back until the evening so why the Hell have they come back early? She knew needed to contact the others but she feared she would raise suspicion and increase their chances of getting caught.
Yelena shifts and tries to lower herself to the ground but she ends up smacking into his crotch.
Argh!
Just what she needed.
"You can't get enough of me." Bucky smirked down at her.
"Shut up." She whispered. "If those assholes won't outside you would have no dick by now."
"Thinking about how you will handle my dick is kind of a turn on."
Yelena goes back up. She is back against his chest again but at least that's better than his crotch.
"I suggest you sleep with your eye open tonight." She warned.
"Is that your way of a invitation Belova?"
"In your dreams Barnes."
"Would be the most pleasant dream I ever had."
Yelena grits her teeth. This guy does not know when to shut up.
"I knew I should have gone in alone."
"And get yourself killed in the process?" His voice turned serious.
"I can handle myself I don't need a knight in shining armor to save me."
"You got to let us help you Yelena."
She looks up at him and let's out a scoff.
"You mean you want to help me?"
"We're a team yes?"
"Unfortunately."
He sighs.
"Look I get that you hate me..."
"Never said that."
"So you don't hate me?"
"Never said that either."
"You never give me a straight answer."
"Thought you loved riddles."
"Depends on the type." He is looking down at her again. "I do like a challenge the ones where you have to remove it layer by layer."
She raises an eyebrow at that.
"That so?"
"They are fascinating, fun to explore."
"You are a patient one I prefer to go straight for the kill." She nodded.
"Why the rush?"
"Saves the time."
"True but it also kills the enjoyment. The build up, the suspense as you drawing close towards the answer." His eyes skim her up and down. "When you finally get what you want, it is a achievement, all that effort has truly paid off."
Yelena taps his chest and shakes her head.
"Sometimes the big reveal can be disappointing all that build up for nothing."
"I only search when I know it will be worth it."
"How do you know it will be worth it?"
"I just...I just know." He exhaled. His hot breath hits her face.
Yelena did her best to keep her face blank. Judging by the small tug of his lips she knew she is blushing. Damm it she is blushing.
Yelena turns away and looks through the gap. Helge's second in command Boris dismisses the meeting and orders everyone to leave. Moments later Boris grabs his coat and leaves with the others.
Good.
Yelena knew they could leave but for some reason she found herself still in the closet with him. He hasn't attempted to move either.
"Well?" She asked with a huff.
He motions with his hand.
"Ladies first."
She laughs at that causing him to frown.
"Manners will not get you far White Wolf." She slaps him on the arm and steps out of the closet.
"I disagree." Barnes tilts his head. "Got a good view out of it."
The scowl is back on her face again. He chuckles and steps out.
"So where shall we start?" He asked changing the subject.
Yelena ignores him and begins looking through the drawers.
"Quit looking at my ass." She warned him as she shoved the papers out of the way.
He responds with another chuckle.
Minutes later Yelena finds a booklet and picks it up.
"Hey check this out." She turns and finds herself back against his chest.
Yelena growled under her breath.
"Do you mind?"
"You just can't help yourself." He grinned. She glares at him. "What am I looking at?"
She shrugs it off and shoves the booklet in his hands.
"Here might be a lead."
Bucky takes the booklet. He leans against the desk and starts to read it. Yelena's eyes linger on his arms. His prosthetic hand trails along his chin as he studies the writing. His eyes are deep in thought. The White Widow snapped out of her trance when his eyes shift on to hers.
"Looks legit." He then nods. "Good job."
"And I didn't even need you." She waves him off. "I was fine like I said I would."
"You look hot to me."
She gulped at that.
"You look like you need some air?" He added.
"Right? Yeah course. It is quite warm in here."
"Really?" He frowns. "Thought the opposite."
"Cold?"
"Very."
He places his prosthetic hand on her arm to make a point. Yelena shivered at the contact but she didn't pull away instead she looks up at him. His eyes meet hers. Yelena swallows and her mind is screaming at her to back off.
Yelena takes several steps forward.
He waits for her.
She cranes her neck up to look at him. He looks down at her.
Waiting.
Her mind continued to scream no.
He gives her a knowing look.
She presses herself against him.
Still screaming no.
He raises an eyebrow.
She tilts her head.
"Don't make me fucking regret this."
"You won't." He said with such confidence Yelena actually believed him.
That did it.
She shuts her mind down and let's the natural instincts kick in.
Then she locks her lips with his.
He kisses her back.
Yelena wraps her arms around him and pulls him in. Bucky growls and holds on to her tight. The pent up emotions all came flooding out, their desire for each other overrode everything else.
Seconds later they both pull away and gasp for air. Bucky scoops her up by the waist and lies her down on her back on the desk.
No going back now. She thought as he climbs on top of her.
Yelena removes her zip and allows him to pull her suit down. Once that is done Bucky removes his belt and lowers his trousers.
Yelena wanted all of him. She grabs on to his jacket and tugs at it wanting it off. Bucky smirks at that.
"Eager I see?"
"I can easily change my mind Barnes."
"And resist me?" Bucky places his hand on his heart. "That's not happening."
"I'm not like other girls." She presses her boot against his boxers. "You could still walk out of here without your manhood."
"Like to see you try." He challenged her.
She smirks. Her heel digs into him.
"Shouldn't challenge me White Wolf."
"Whatever you say White Widow."
It wasn't long before he started kissing her again. Hot and fierce. She responded with a moan. He pushes his tongue in and rolls it along with hers. Suddenly he pulls away and flips the White Widow on her stomach. Yelena gasps in surprise.
"Assh..." She is cut off as he kisses her neck.
"Hmm." He hummed. His hands move to her ass. He gives her a cheeky slap on the ass causing another gasp to come from her.
"You were saying?" He grinned in her ear.
"You are enjoying this." She replied.
"I did say the wait will be worth it."
"Sorry to disappoint but there's no prize."
His hand goes to her breast.
"Sure about that?"
He squeezed her nipple causing her to moan. She now understood about those rumors of Sergeant Barnes being a womaniser back in the day. He continued to tease her and smothered her with kisses. Yelena tried to stop herself from smiling but she couldn't help it.
"She smiles." He pretends to gasp.
She tried to hide it but he shakes his head.
"It suits you. Its a lovely smile."
There was no teasing he is serious she can tell. That compliment caused her smile to widen.
Yelena then felt the tip of cock pressed against her. He leans forward and brushes the hair away from her face.
"You okay with this?" He asked.
Womaniser but respectful? Hmm?
"I am." She nods to him. She turns her head and smirks at him. "But are you?"
A sharp intake of breath comes from him when her fingers brush against his cock.
"Hard already?" Yelena scoffed. "Has your previous affairs ever got a reaction this quick out of you? Should I feel honored?"
Bucky said nothing.
Yelena then feels his hand circling her entrance.
"Wet already?" He said with amusement. "Has your previous affairs ever got a reaction this quick out of you? Should I feel honored?" He repeated his words back at her.
She inwardly groaned.
Damm.
"I have never met someone like you." Bucky then said. "So feisty so challenging. Did I say I like a challenge?"
"You did. I like challenges too I'm also a gamer."
"Really?"
"Hmm and if you don't get inside me right now I'll set the alarm and ensure Helge's guys find you butt-naked in their office. What a sight that would be."
"Someone doesn't play nice."
"Who said anything about the game being fair." She gives him a devilish smirk. "Now come on soldier boy buckle up."
She pushed her ass against him. He might be on top but she is damm well giving out the orders here.
"As you wish Miss Belova."
Yelena suddenly gasps as she feels him go inside her. Before she could process what is going on Barnes then starts to pound into her.
He went straight into it fast and aggressive releasing all that energy on to her. Yelena cursed in Russian. Barnes pushes into her with full force his cock slides deep inside her. Yelena grips the edge of the desk as he continued to rock her.
"Usually I like to take my time." Bucky leans forward. "But we are on a time limit so..." He kisses her cheek and pulls at her earlobe. Yelena moans with pleasure. She nudges her head and brushes against his growth. "Hmm." Bucky smiled.
Yelena turns and bites his lip. He groans. Yelena raises her leg and strokes his thigh. She pushes her tongue in his mouth and kisses him until it makes them both dazed.
"Yelena." He mumbled into the kiss. "Yelena." He repeated her name sounding more urgent. His need for her consumed him.
Bucky eventually pulls away and this earned another hard thrust from him. Yelena's legs drop and she is back flat on her stomach again completely at his mercy.
He laughs and grasps her ass. He slowly pulls himself out of her then quickly slams back into her again.
"Eбать!" (Fuck) She again cursed in Russian. "James!"
Another thrust.
"Oh my God!" She squealed.
He chuckles.
She covers her mouth with her hand not wanting to give him any more satisfaction but Bucky removes her hand and shakes his head.
"Don't stop." He said his voice becoming breathless. "I like it. The sounds you are making it is...It is so fucking hot and so..." His voice lowers. "Cексуальный." (Sexy)
She held her breath as the words travel into her ear. Hearing Barnes complimenting her in Russian made her suddenly weak to her knees.
Damm him for making her like this.
He is next to her grinning again.
"Bastard." She said but it came out weak and needy. This only made her groan.
His grin widens.
Eventually Yelena started to feel the fire forming at the bottom of her belly. She is close but she wasn't going to beg no way not to him so she squeezes her eyes shut and tries to hold on as much as she can.
"Yel." Yelena can feel Bucky trembling as he spoke. "I need to..."
Oh yes finally! She thought.
If she is being honest she couldn't hold on much longer.
"Fire away White Wolf." She tried to joke but with the burning feeling inside her the joke ended up coming out quite desperate and oh God did that sound like a beg?
Argh!
Bucky increases his hold on her. His strong arms wraps around her. Yelena feels the heat from the flesh and the cold from the metal. She found it disorienting and it ended up driving her over the edge.
Yelena bites down on her lip and stops the scream that threatened to form in case anyone heard. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she let it all out.
Barnes buried himself in the crook of her neck and grits his teeth as he too rode his orgasm out. Minutes later Bucky loosens his hold on her and they both lay on top of the desk panting and trying to catch their breath.
"Damm." Bucky managed to spit out. He takes another deep breath and shakes his head. "That was something."
Yelena does a small nod.
Something they can both agree on for once.
As Yelena gets dressed she turns to the White Wolf and says.
"We never speak of this again what we did does not leave this room understand?"
Bucky nods his face serious.
"I understand."
She throws her backpack on.
"Your dick has survived for now."
"For now?" He raises an eyebrow at her. "Are you saying there will be a next time Miss Belova?"
"I never said that."
He smiles and looks down as he puts his boots on.
"Whatever you say doll."
She glares at him.
"Don't call me that."
He gives her an innocent look.
"Okay."
Yelena rolls her eyes and sighs heavily.
"Come on let's get out of here." She said moments later.
...............
"Oh my God am I seeing things or is Barnes actually smiling?"
John Walker greeted the duo with a big grin on his face.
"Walker." Bucky said formally.
"Hey!" Yelena nods to the other Super Soldier. "We bring gifts."
"Great." Walker nods. "The others are next door."
Yelena again nods. She gives Bucky a small smile then goes and joins the others. Walker's attention turns back to Barnes again. He raises an amused eyebrow.
"What's got you in a good mood Barnes?"
"It's certainly not you." Bucky responded sarcastically. He then turns away and follows the White Widow
Walker places his hand on his chest and pretends to look offended.
"Ouch."
"I knew you would make it." Alexei greeted Yelena with a hug. "Well done soldier." He slaps Barnes on the back.
Bucky forced a smile followed by a nod.
"What did you find out?" Ava asked.
Antonia raises her head and waits patiently for the meeting to begin.
"Yes." Walker enters the room with his hands clasped. That shit-eating grin remained on his face. "What did you two love birds find out?"
Bucky coughs at that.
"Sorry did I say something wrong?" Walker gives a knowing look followed by a smirk.
Yelena felt the blush creeping back again.
Walker folds his arms and let out a "Oooh."
"Let's stick to the plan U.S Agent." Ghost glares at him.
"Yes let's do that." Yelena slams the papers down and begins explaining what her and Barnes have found.
Walker kept his eyes on Barnes.
Bucky is trying everything he can not to look at her ass.
It is very hard not to when her suit is so freaking tight.
Bucky grits his teeth and tucks his head into his folded arms.
Walker grins.
Alexei is oblivious.
When Yelena is done Walker is the first to speak up.
"Fascinating."
He wasn't referring to their discovery.
Bucky wanted to punch him.
"You guys should do more missions together." Walker nods. "You make a good team...Quite a pair."
Another blush went across Yelena's face. Ava seemed to caught on what is going on. She lowers her head and smiles to herself.
Taskmaster continued staring blankly.
Alexei nods along agreeing with the U.S Agent.
"Absolutely."
The bastard is still oblivious.
"I swear to God." Yelena groaned out loud.
"Shut up Walker." Bucky growled.
"I could always be third wheel." Walker offered.
"No!"
"You prefer privacy got it." Walker winked.
"I would prefer to throw you out of the window." Bucky glared.
"I would happily help you do that." Yelena chimed in.
"Okay." Walker raises his arms in surrender. "Look I'm happy for you both I'm serious I'm glad the mission went well." He smiles. "Congratulations I say."
Both respond with an eye roll.
"Anyone want some food? I'm starving." Walker changed the subject. The mischief glint remained in his eyes.
"Count me in." Alexei nods. "Hey Barnes." He puts his arm around the White Wolf. "Did I ever tell you the time when I..."
Bucky tuned the Red Guardian out as the big man led him out of the room. Barnes looks helplessly at Yelena. Yelena gives him a stern look followed by a subtle gesture to his balls.
Right manhood at risk here.
Or was it an invitation?
That woman never gives a straight answer.
Bucky smiles to himself. He is okay with that.
He loves a challenge after all.

Sunday Plans
Pairing: Florence Pugh x Fem!Reader
Summary: It's a lazy Sunday morning and Florence has an important question for you
Disclaimer: My first Y\N fic; English is not my first language, so be aware and be kind.
Tumblr media
It was a bit cold, Florence realized when she slowly woke up. Her thoughts were still heavy with sleep and she rolled over, grabbing the heavy duvet that had slipped out of her during the night so she could try to keep the chill air away from her skin. She ended up laying with her belly down, left cheek pressed against the pillow and her mouth slightly open as she breathed evenly. Her left arm was hidden under the pillow, but her right arm was lying flat against the mattress beneath the covers.
It was Sunday and she had every intention to go back to sleep since there was nowhere else she was supposed to be. She could rest, finally. And sleep until her back started to hurt was a very good way to do so.
Florence was starting to feel the dreamland coming back to her when there was movement on the other side of the bed. It was fast, didn’t disturb the mattress that much, but enough to make her pay attention to what was happening. Just a few seconds later, she felt a slim arm slipping around her waist on top of the duvet, a body pressing into her side and a head resting on her pillow as well, before she felt a nose hiding at the crook of her neck.
You had moved, chased her heat and her body, and curled at her as you usually did. You hadn’t always been a sleep cuddler, but it seemed that you couldn’t get enough of Florence, not even when you two were sleeping, so, once you realized there was too much space between you two, you just rolled over to search for her, sighing happily once you were glad with your proximity again.
Florence couldn’t help but chuckle at that. It was low, quiet, and didn’t wake you up. She moved just a little so you could be more comfortable in the new position, then took a deep breath and tried to go back to sleep. With your warm body and your warm breath hitting her skin, she knew it wouldn’t take long to go back to a slumber. She was right, of course, and she fell asleep moments later, smiling to herself.
She woke up again an hour later, much more alert and without that sleepy fog that made it almost impossible to even think. Florence knew she wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep again, however she also realized she couldn’t exactly move. Well, none of you had moved, you were still somewhat hugging her while pressed into her side, snoring lightly every now and then. Florence could move, take your arm from her waist, slip from under the covers and start her day, but she didn’t want to do that. First, she was very comfortable being where she was; second, she knew it would wake you up and she didn’t want that. You had stayed up until late to go pick her up at the airport last night, holding a simple but beautiful bouquet of flowers and sporting that smile that warmed her heart. You deserved to sleep some more.
With that in mind, Florence accepted the fact that she was stuck there. Again, not that she minded. With a sigh, she moved her right arm from under the covers to place her hand on top of yours, drawing random objects on your skin with her fingers.
The flowers you gave her were placed on the nightstand, she remembered. She had grabbed an empty vase, filled with water, and placed it there because you wanted to keep looking at it as much as you wanted to bring some new colors to the room you shared. It was worth it when she saw the smile on your face and the light blush on your cheeks. Florence could remember feeling so grateful to have you in her life last night when she left the plane and didn’t have to call for a cab because she knew you would be there to pick her up, but that wasn’t even half of the things she felt when she saw you holding the flowers for her. She was tired, both from the flight and just her crazy routine as well, but it all seemed dull when she saw you. When you two hugged, she made sure you knew just how much she appreciated all you had done for her, even going as far as kissing your lips, even if Florence herself wasn’t a huge fan of public displays of affection - mostly because it always seemed to have someone around to snap a picture of her to post on the internet.
Then, even if it was ridiculously late, you insisted she had to eat something because she just told you that she didn’t eat on the plane. Florence said she was fine, but you still tried to find a restaurant that was still open. That search ended with both of you sitting at the hood of the car parked just outside the fast food chain, eating McDonald's while she stole your fries with that cute smile of hers that made it very impossible to get mad at her.
It was one of those inglorious moments - not at all fancy, very mundane, a bit funny - that Florence lived with you and that made her fall in love even deeper than before. It made her laugh even if she was tired, it made her want to forget everything for a moment, because it was you. She was there with you. She was living that with you. And, for Christ, she loved you fiercely.
Once you were both done eating, you grabbed all the empty packages and walked away a few feet to throw them into a garbage can while Florence was already getting inside the car. You drove with the window down, both of you singing like teenagers to the song she had put on the radio, and Florence couldn’t help but stare. She sat with her back half pressed against the door, looking at you with adoring eyes, nose scrunched whenever you turned to look at her, and smiling all the way back home.
Last night she realized that's how she wanted to live the rest of her life. This morning, with you snoring at her ear and your heavy arm thrown casually around her waist, she realized you were definitely the person she wished to live all those things with. That thought hit her so clearly that it took her breath away for a moment. Florence knew she loved you more than she ever loved anyone else, but the weight of that hit her all at once and full force, and she opened her eyes almost like she was making sure she wasn’t still sleeping.
"I can hear you thinking."
Your groggy voice, heavy with sleep, took her away from her thoughts and, despite the situation, it made her breathe in relief. Florence didn’t turn around, but she smiled when she felt you hugging her tighter.
"Oh, yeah? What am I thinking then?" She joked, wrapping her fingers around yours.
"About those big-headed dolls you saw once."
Her laugh filled the room, deep and hoarse, and you also smiled, glad that your dumb joke evoked that reaction. Her laugh was your favorite sound in the world.
"Wrong," Florence replied happily. "But it was close. I was thinking about you."
"Oh?" You asked. You two still had to move, both too comfortable to be the first one to do it. "I have two follow up questions to that."
"Hit me."
"One, are you saying I have a big head? Two, what about me had you thinking so hard, huh?" You pressed a kiss on her skin right after you were done talking, and then hugged her even tighter, even if it seemed impossible to do so.
"One, I won’t answer that," she teased. "Two, nothing too specific. I was just thinking that I kind of hit the jackpot with you."
"Really?"
"Yes," Florence quickly agreed. "I'm lucky."
"From my point of view, I'm the lucky one," you whisper against her neck, already pressing more light kisses on her skin.
"You are a charmer."
"You make it easy," you replied. "How can I not be when I have you?"
Florence sighed and you pressed a last kiss on her bare shoulder, before you fell into a comfortable silence for a couple of minutes. You could hear Billy walking outside the room, probably waiting for one of you to get up to play with him. There was also the noise of all the electronics working, the rest of the world outside, and all of that, but all you could listen to was Florence's rhythmic breath. All you could feel was her skin against yours.
You knew you had to get up eventually, though. Billy needed to be fed, Florence needed to undo her suitcase, you had to put the clothes into the washing machine, you both had to eat and, well, it was Sunday. You could enjoy the only day in the week that none of you had to work and that Florence was in town between filming and interviews.
"What do you wanna do today?" You asked.
"Let's get married."
You laughed, taken totally by surprise at her joke. "Yes, sure," you said. "I was thinking maybe take Billy for a walk in the park, but sure." There was silence after you were done talking. It didn’t last too much, only enough for you to realize that Florence was being serious. It made you raise your head the best you could to try to take a look at her face. "Flo?"
She sighed and shrugged. "Just, you know, an idea."
"Are you serious?"
Since she knew there was no way you would just let her pretend it wasn’t a big deal, Florence eventually moved from her very comfy position. She didn't turn completely, but she raised herself on her elbows for a second so she could turn her head to look at you, also moving her legs to intertwine with yours the best they could. Your arm only left her waist until she was lying down again, but now you were face to face, sharing the same pillow, and looking at each other with slightly wide-open eyes.
"Flo?" You called her nickname to get her attention because, even if she was looking at you, you knew her mind was racing. Florence blinked at you and you noticed her pink cheeks. You raised your hand from her hip to touch her cheek and smiled at her to help her relax a bit.
"You have no right being such a perfect girlfriend, you know," she mumbled under her breath, trying to sound mad at you, but you only chuckled at it.
"Do you wanna talk about the plans for today that I might not be informed of?"
Florence sighed. "I'm sorry. It's just… I was thinking about that before you woke up and I said it without thinking." She paused. "It's Sunday. We can't get married on a Sunday. No courthouses are open."
It made you laugh more freely now. "That's the only reason, huh?"
Florence's cheeks got even redder now. "Sorry."
"Don't be sorry," you said gently. "I'm very happy to know you want to marry me." You leaned in to kiss her forehead, which made her smile. "I also wish to marry you, miss Pugh."
"You do?" There was hope behind her eyes and she seemed so damn happy that it made you have no doubts that she was the one.
"Yes." You nodded and kissed her lips now, ignoring the morning breath you both had because who cares. You loved her with all your heart. Morning breath or not. "But maybe not today, you know," you joked once you pulled away. "We might want our family and friends to be a part of this."
She chuckled at that, looking down for a second before looking back at you. "You're right."
"I usually am," you teased.
"That's a lie," she added fast.
"Don't be mean to your future wife." You pouted.
Florence laughed quietly and pecked your lips a few times before pulling away with a new glint in her eyes that made you realize she was up to something. "So we're not getting married today, but…" She paused to take a deep breath and, holding your hand on hers, asked: "Will you marry me?"
"Every Sunday for the rest of our lives, yes," you answered with a gigantic smile that just showed the same glee you were feeling inside.
"Maybe I jumped an important step before, huh?" Florence made fun of herself.
"Oh, well," you dismissed it. "It works for us, so it's fine. But, really, what do you wanna do today?"
"I guess I have to buy an engagement ring now," she said with a bit of humor coloring her words.
And you couldn’t help but laugh with her.

im sorry, kate bishop.
Tumblr media
characters: Kate Bishop, Yelena Belova.
description: AU where Yelena joins Kate and Clint and all three end up at his house. Yelena and Kate have a talk as Yelena patches up Kate’s wound and tried to comfort her after the loss of her mom.
includes: no romo! they are awkward, but warm up, awkward and stiff yelena lol, again no romo, purely platonic, yelena is canonically aroace remember that!
Yelena felt weird being at Barton’s home, she tried to kill the man not that long ago, how else was she supposed to feel?
It took a good moment before he convinced Yelena to join him and Kate, but eventually she just gave in, he obviously trusted her and knew a lot about her. The car ride was awkwardly silent, Kate didn’t say a word to Yelena and Clint was way too focused on the road, so they just sat in silence with Clint asking a thing or two when they stopped at red lights.
There was a limited number of rooms, so Yelena took the couch, she wasn’t even sure if she’d stay to morning, so there was no point in getting a room ready for her.
It was dark outside by now, their house was nice, Yelena liked how big it was, but it felt like a home, not like a mansion. Laura was now in the kitchen with Lila and her brothers were with Clint outside. Yelena sat on the couch awkwardly, she tried to relax, but she seemed to tense up at every noise. As the front door opened and Clint walked in with his sons Yelena’s head turned. Her face stoic as she looked at the three for a moment.
“Hey, Yelena… Do you think you can go get Kate? The food will be ready soon.” Clint said with a light smile on his face, Yelena just nodded as she got up and walked up the stairs to the guest room to get Kate.
She knocked gently on the door as she pushed it open. The air in the room was stiff, her green eyes quickly scanned her surroundings, the room was small with a king size bed in the middle, she saw some clothes thrown around and a bag on the floor, her eyes focused on Kate who was seated on the bed.
“Clint says food will be ready soon.” Yelena finally spoke up. She looked at Kate with an emotionless expression, but she saw how red Kate’s eyes were and her nose, how her breath was short and her cheeks wet.
“Um, yeah… I’ll be right down.” She nodded -as she spoke.
Yelena hesitated, she was ready to leave to room, but it felt wrong, she didn’t want to be pushy and it was definitely not her place to talk with Kate as the two barely knew each other, yet she was still standing in the door frame, not fully in the room, yet also not fully out of the room.
“Do you need something else?” Kate looked up at the blonde as she took a deep breath in, it was a poor attempt to calm her unstable breathing.
“I’m sorry about your mom.” Yelena said, her face softened slightly, as she breathed out, hoping she didn’t cross a boundary with that statement.
“Thanks…” Kate replied, her voice went even more quiet, it fucking hurt a lot, losing someone.
“Did you patch up your forehead? You’re bleeding again…” Yelena commented as her eyes focused on the oddly patched up wound on Kate’s forehead, the girl just nodded in response.
Yelena walked into the room, she closed the wooden door behind herself as she sat in front of Kate and smiled awkwardly as she stared to clean the wound.
The silence was crushing them both, Yelena was focused on the wound, but still she felt as if the silence was making this moment worse. Kate hissed in pain as Yelena touched the bare wound on her face.
“Sorry.” Yelena mumbled as she placed a fresh bandage on the spot. “All done.”
The two remained in place in silence, Kate smiled softly at the blonde.
“Thank you.”
“No problem, glad I could help.” Yelena sighed as she continued to speak. “It will get better, you know? Everyone loses somebody.” She shrugged, unsure if her words were even helpful. “It’s just like… a thing everyone goes through, if everyone if alright then you will be too.” She nodded as she spoke more confidently now.
Kate just smiled in response as her eyes teared up, it was like an instinct her arms wrapped around the blonde making her stiff up, but eventually she hugged the girl back.
“It will be okay, Kate.”
