When Valkyrie had invited you out tonight you were hesitant to accept the offer, and when she simply reiterated her words with an emphasis on date you were stunned into breathlessness.
You weren't known as a party person, you were a homebody that joined at the most random of times, as in when forced by Yelena or Wanda.
——
Your little sister always wanted to keep you included, because she loved having you around, and well, you made her feel safe. Instead of saying this, she'd get you to go by telling you that staying home with your books and studies made you too boring like Natasha and she couldn't stand to have another her.
You knew, without a shadow of doubt, that Yelena would not approve of this date, she is a fan of vetting your potential suitors—all one of them that you've had, and she's good at the job. She expressly warned you just how bad news that devilish woman was. You brushed her off though, and by the following weekend you were ugly sobbing over a pint of ice cream with your sisters. Natasha held you, and Yelena held a smug grin until the redhead swatted it away.
Doubling down, the blonde had sworn you off from her Rugby teammates, she knew how they got down, and she'd warned you of their severe inability to commit to a game plan most days, let alone to another human being. So trusting the woman tonight was a gamble, you'd always been told that that was what love was. It was meant to, hypothetically, be well worth the risk. Your mother Melina's lengthy divorce an example of the potential fallout, but even with the odds stacked against you, you're gonna try.
Which is probably why you don't gamble much.
Then there's the problem of Wanda Maximoff, the woman that makes your heart beat wildly in your chest. Like now, just the thought of her gets you excited beyond words, but you've got no right to feel this way, she wasn't yours. At least not the way you want, you were merely friends with exponential benefits, like sex.
You trust her wholly, you've known her since middle school, she was Nat's best friend, so the unwelcome feelings of love sadly made sense.
You'd always been just as close as you were all in the same grade, but where their relationship was a strong platonic field of friendship that was oh so easy to navigate, the two of yours was more like a shakily crafted dance, there was an obvious mutual attraction, but it was usually disregarded for the sake of peace. Nat was fiercely protective of you along with Lena, and truth be told so was Wanda, you were too nice, so they always had to look out for you.
It was exactly why when you set off for college, instead of the military like Natasha, that you'd ended up with the woman as a dorm mate. Nat had pleaded with the school to make it happen, and though Wanda was nonchalant about the whole making it happen part, she was ecstatic when move in day came. After the first set of frat parties you'd all attended there was a shift between the two of you, it was as if with your minds clouded that invisible barrier fell away.
The following morning came with headaches, and before you could express how happy you were that this finally happened Wanda spoke up first, and made you grateful you never did.
It was well known to you that she enjoyed her freedom, and that included being able to sleep with whomever, whenever she pleased. You also knew that no one else got to cuddle her afterwards, so you took that as a win, she clearly loved you, she just didn't know how to.
She came from a broken family too, her father died when she was younger, and her mother eventually remarried an asshole for his surplus of money, she couldn't fathom finding love if it was so easily lost, and the way her mother tried to replace her dad left a bitterness in her heart.
So for a little over two years now the two of you've been sleeping together casually, well as casual as two people can be when ignoring the glaring truth. The feelings you have for her continue to grow by the day, but you expertly keep them locked away in a vault located beneath your heart. Ignorance is bliss right?
Most importantly though, neither of your sisters know about the sex. They loved Wanda, but they loved you a hell of a lot more. You knew if your sisters figured it out the whole thing would come crashing down, and you couldn't risk that. You'll take Wanda in whatever way she presents herself to you.
The only problem you face here though is the brunette's jealousy, she tries to mask it when she sees you swiping on apps, but you see it. Every time without fail she'd find a way to wave off the people on the app, "They're too ugly for a pretty girl like you Y/N," or "I know them, trust me, you're not missing much," and her favorite is, "Aren't we having enough fun?"
It was usually then that you'd lock your phone and leave the dorm in a hurry. The last thing you wanted was to blow up on her, but it also hurt to be treated this way by the one you love.
As if you were meant to rely on her for all your affection, but she could seek it out elsewhere.
Wanda was good at making you forget the hurt when you'd return, she'd pout at you as soon as you entered the dorm, then without words she would apologize. Usually with dinner, and a movie that led to you beneath her, her plans of one sided exclusivity working once again. But in this scenario she wasn't able to stop the ball from rolling as your majors were opposite.
Wanda couldn't keep Valkyrie from getting to you when she was unaware of her interest, and as you told her about it in a rush to get ready she was left stunned on her lumpy mattress.
"Y/N/N," she whined, "I had a movie set up, and all the junk food in the world for us!"
Wanda was missing you like crazy as of late, you'd been neglecting her insatiable need for you without intending to as midterm season set in. Nearly every day now you'd stumble in a little after midnight truly exhausted, and she'd have to watch you slump into your bed with hardly a mumble of good night before snores filled the dreadfully boring room, she hated it.
She hated the way you overworked yourself, but she found she hated this much more. Val knew, hell, majority of the campus knew you were logistically unspoken for, but you were not, you were Wanda's. "I love you Wands, but I am not skipping a date for the Barbie movie."
"I'll have you know this is part of a feminist movement!" She gasped as she threw a pack of little bites at your head, it was her last chance to reel you in, but it failed as you set it back on her tray of snacks. You offered her a sad smile, "I'll be back around 12am if I don't get lucky, if that's the case we can gorge out and watch it."
Wanda watched you leave with a scowl, you most certainly wouldn't be getting lucky tonight if she had anything to do with it, there's not a chance in hell someone else gets to have you when you fit so perfectly in her arms.
Wanda didn't have much to worry about it turned out, as not even fifteen minutes into the party did you find yourself all alone. Nobody paid you any mind as they brushed by, except for the few sleazy guys sizing you up, probably determining if you'd give it up or were a prude.
After a few more moments of solitude you left the table of drinks Valkyrie left you at, and awkwardly went in search of her only to find out Yelena was right. Valkyrie wasn't to be trusted, and you learned that as you witnessed her tongue down the throat of an innocent bystander, Darcy Lewis, while sat in the lap of her smirking ex girlfriend Carol Danvers lap.
"Um, can you tell me where you left my coat?"
Valkyrie turned to you with a dazed expression, clearly she held no regrets. But it just as soon morphed into one of terror at the unconsidered realization when she'd asked you out, the idea of Yelena finding out was a tad worrisome.
Val had every intention of showing you a good time, then she saw Carol flirting with Darcy and left you at the table in a jealous rage.
"Y/N, I," she lazily began to defend herself as she clamored off her tumultuous lovers lap, and you watched with pity as the science nerd from your Wednesday course scrambled off.
"Save it Valkyrie, I knew you were a sleaze, but I needed the distraction so I accepted the date," you spat, "What a shame I didn't get any head."
"There's still time," Carol offered, chuckling softly to herself when you only flipped her off.
"Please, don't tell Yelena," she tried to appeal to you, she knew from high school experience that you were the more gentle of your sisters.
You snorted, "We both know it doesn't matter, she always finds out, you're already doomed."
"You have to have some pull," Carol tried, she appeared calm, but you could see the sweat on her brows. "Cute, how much of a pushover do you take me to be Danvers? I'll let her find out, and I'll make sure to cry really good for her."
Before the jocks could catch you by the arm to try and plead their case you'd slipped through the crowd of sweaty bodies, and out the front door. Aimless as you were the day you were born as you quickly left the fraternity house.
You sniffled as you walked across the dimly lit football field of your campus, an after effect of streaming tears that had since dried up under the influence of the brisk winter wind. Dread filled you at the prospect of going home, you knew that if you went to Mama Melina's your sisters would be at the frat house in seconds.
That made you grimace just at the thought, sure they hurt you, however your heart will mend in due time, but you fear that if your sisters got to the jocks their bones wouldn't.
You also knew that if you returned to your dorm before two am, the one you share with your sometimes lover, she'd still be awake. Then she would be doing much of the same.
Neither option suited your fancy, so after you used the sleeve of your worn down hoodie to wipe at your raw to the touch nose you pulled out your phone to try for Kate. But as if fate had a funny way of working its magic you met not only the aforementioned woman, but also the grassy ground as you tumbled over her.
"Sestra, what's happened? Why are you crying? Why are you out wandering all alone this late?! Do you have no sense of safety? Hello??"
Great, Yelena was here too, you found out as she now hovered over you. It was hard to make out her features as her curled hair shielded her face from the stadium lights, but you could see her bright eyes full of concern. "I-I," you tried to give her some excuse, but when you saw her pouting down at you empathetically you lost your resolve; the shifty dam broke once more.
Yelena looked to Kate in a panic, the archer jumped into gear when she heard your sobs. The couple rearranged you so that Yelena could sit down and hold you tightly from behind, one of the few fond memories you held close to your heart from your time in the orphanage.
Kate sat down beside you two, settling down to the left of your bodies. Ever the prepared one she had reached into her bag and pulled out some tissues, water, and some chewing gum.
After you practically melted into your sister, you felt Kate dabbing away the tears and snot that now dripped down your face, and neck. The embarrassment you felt was immense, but as if she knew—she always did, she shushed you like a mother hen does her hoard of chicks.
"Shhh honey, it's okay, trust me, I've dealt with so much worse when your little sister is sick," Kate coo'd softly with a silly smirk following her words, and to both of the women's delight you giggled hoarsely.
"I'm not little."
Your sisters serious grumbling from behind you caused you to cackle brokenly, as funny as she was your throat was far too parched to produce the proper sounds. Kate took that as her sign to lift the bottle to your lips, and you gulped it down appreciatively, and so she tilted it with you to ensure you got every last dribble.
"All better?" Yelena asked concernedly from behind to which you nodded while smiling at her girlfriend who extended you a piece of gum, "Can you tell us what happened sestra?"
Kate sent her lover a glare as she watched your lip wobble again, tears once again brimmed, and you spun in your sisters arms to try and offer her an explanation, but she could see by the guilty look in your eyes you'd broken rules.
"Who did it?" her voice was level, there was a lilt of danger to it though, and you shivered.
You nearly said Wanda, because though it was Valkyrie who set you off tonight, it was Wanda that you saw with every intrusive thought.
"Valkyrie," you hiccup, "a-and Carol."
"Ya ub'yu ikh," the blonde growled, her arms now significantly tighter around you. "Net."
(I will kill them / No)
"What do you mean no? They knew better!"
"So did I," you remind her with a heavy sigh, "You warned me, and I still accepted the date."
Yelena didn't plan on fully letting this go, but for the sake of your happiness she dropped it for now and with the help of Kate she got you back on your feet, "Where were you going?"
You shrugged, and the blonde was perplexed. This obviously wasn't the way to your dorm, she once again brushed passed the unknown though, and instead she pulled you in close to keep you warm, "We'll go to mama's then, I know how much you have missed Natasha."
"Okay," you smiled softly as you agreed with her, Natasha only just returned from her tour in Germany, and you were all going home next weekend to see her, but sooner sounded better.
You quietly walked in the middle of the couple, both of them holding your hand in a protective manner that made you feel so warm that the frigid cold air stopped bothering you as much.
Natasha was posted at the front door, her arms opened a mile away and you sprinted up the driveway until you were sobbing into her chest.
"What am I? Chopped liver?" Yelena groaned, but she smiled at your older sister who nodded to her that she was safe to take Kate to bed.
Their plans of partying long over, and as Kate had always wanted, they were cuddled up watching cheap reality television while you were right next door in Natasha's bed.
"Wanna talk about it krolick?" You nodded against her arm, moving to sit up so you could properly look at her as you poured your heart out. "I just want someone to love me Natty."
Natasha instantly frowned. "Lena, Mama, Kate, Wanda, and I all love you Y/N. Like, a lot!"
You wanted to scoff, to tell your sister that the only reason this mess exists is because the one person you wish loved you didn't. The same one she listed off, but that wasn't fair to the redhead who was just trying to comfort you.
"I know you guys do Natty, but I want more."
"Well, there's no rush on that," Natasha tried to reason with you. "Love takes time, and I think college frat parties are the worst place to go looking for the real thing. Let it find you."
"That's easy enough for you to say Nat," you sighed. "Lena has Kate, and you found Maria. There's always been someone waiting for you guys, I've never had that, nobody wants me."
"That isn't true Y/N, you're wanted."
"By my family, sure." You grimaced at the thought of seeming so pathetic. "When does someone want me for more than sex? When am I someones person to come home to, huh? To tell about their day? To miss? To love!!!"
"I don't know Y/N," Natasha confessed as she shrugged, then she pulled you back down onto her bed, and you instinctively tucked into her warm side. She smiled with the offer of hope as she went on, "All I do know is that they'll find you when it's the right time. Not everyone falls in love in their twenties, and that's okay."
"I sure hope you're right Natty, because I'm tired of longing for someone who'll never want me the same way that I've always wanted her."
The redhead's brows furrowed, but you were gone before she could seek clarity. As far as she'd been concerned this was the first attempt on the dating scene since Riley Thompson, that retched strawberry blonde from your first year. She knows that's a foolish train of thought, but still, it also makes no sense for you to be this torn up over Valkyrie, who'd been a grade A douche ever since she won the puberty lottery.
Once she knew you were out, in true protective big sister (by three months) fashion, she found a way to make it better as she called the uni cops on the jocks. Mutual friends of yours on social media began to post snippets of flashing lights and she beamed at the mess she made.
If she couldn't knock their lights out she'd introduce them to an array of red and blue.
Feeling content with the situation she settled her phone down, along with her glasses before clapping to get the bedside lamp to turn off.
"Goodnight krolick," she whispered, the sweet release of sleep had nearly consumed her too, but then a loud knocking came from the front door and she figured it was the jocks with silly plans of retaliation. So she gently left your side, grabbed her high tech taser batons she built in high school, then swung the front door open.
"Wanda?" Natasha stepped out into the cold winter night with a deep scowl at the sight of her distraught friend, "Why are you here knocking so loudly at three in the morning?"
"Where is she Nat? She didn't come home, then she left me on delivered, an-and I-I saw the." Wanda paused suddenly as she tried to refrain from leaving and punching the jocks again. Natasha saw the way her bruising hands reflexively fisted, and she knew what'd likely happened here. "You know what happened?"
Wanda nods, "Yeah, and I handled them."
"You could lose your scholarship Wanda," Natasha scolds the girl halfheartedly, she knew that you'd say the same, so she mentioned it.
"I couldn't give a fuck less Natasha."
Natasha nodded in understanding, she too was one sob of yours away from knocking their teeth in, but she couldn't risk losing her job.
"I need to see her, please," Wanda grabbed her best friends shoulders in a panic, their eyes met and in a flash Natasha saw the secrets unfolding, and for a moment she felt betrayed.
Why would you both keep this a secret?
Then she saw the love the woman held for you, and part of her wonders if your groveling over heartache was rooted in your clearly hidden relationship with the brunette more so than it had been any of Valkyrie and Carol's doing.
Natasha was about to speak, to deny her access to you, at least for tonight in her frazzled state, because you didn't need anymore grief tonight. She however didn't get the chance as the front door opened and cast a light upon her back. Your soft sniffles an indicator on who it was, and Wanda wasted no time shoving passed her to get to you. The sight of you so sad broke her, but she didn't give that away, you needed her.
So with shaky hands she cupped your cheeks, she continuously wiped away the tears that ran from an unending well, she smiled so softly at you that you momentarily forgot the audience.
It reminded you of all the times she'd held you as you cried in your dorm. When you were overwhelmed with your classes, and she'd spend the entire day trying to make it better. Cracking lame jokes, and holding you extra close just to hopefully make you smile.
So for a fleeting moment you leaned into her touch as you slipped into your delusional fantasy that this was more than sex, then you looked at your gobsmacked sister and took a step back as you remembered the harsh truth.
"What are you doing here Wanda?"
The question came off almost accusingly, as if she were a stranger, but she paid it no mind, you had every right to feel the way you did.
"I had to see you, I was worried sick detka," she rushed forward to bridge the gap, and wrapped her arms around you to hug you close to her, "You didn't come home, or answer my calls."
"It was late, and I didn't want to disturb you."
Wanda stiffened as you lied, you'd never lied to her before, and she can't understand why now.
"You could never disturb me Y/N, I promise you that much," she instantly moved to squash the intrusive thought that kept you away, "You should also know better than to lie to me."
"Wa—."
"No, I saw the party Y/N, I went through story after story looking for a sign of you, and I grew worried when there was none; after awhile I stumbled upon your date locking lips with that skank ex girlfriend of hers, your absence there made sense, but it didn't back at home. Why?"
"It was embarrassing, okay?" You practically shouted as you ripped yourself out of her hold, "My first date since Riley and I couldn't even manage to keep this dates attention either."
Wanda instantly frowned at your outburst, she desperately tried to reach for you but you held her away with a firm grip on her shoulders.
"Do you know what it's like Wanda?" You stared right into her soul, "To be the girl everyone is down to fuck, but never to love?"
Wanda's eyes filled with tears, because sure you were speaking in generalizations with Nat stood only a few paces away, but she knew you were speaking to her directly at this juncture.
"Who am I kidding, of course you don't," you shook your head with incredulous laughter, "When you walk in a room everyone's eyes are on you, they want a shot with you, they want to win your affection, and that's where we differ."
Your hold on her fell as you picked up the blanket to rewrap it around you, you were about to ask her to leave, loud enough so that Nat would make her, then your eyes fell to her clenched fists and you gasped, your face etched with concern, "Wanda, what did you do?"
"What needed to be done," she replied with a venom in her tone you were unfamiliar with, "Nobody hurts you without consequence."
The brunette lifted her gaze to send you a soft smile, but when you peered into her eyes all you saw was guilt. Something you now felt sorry for causing. "I'll see you back at home."
Wanda walked away too fast for you to even say anything, let alone stop her, but Natasha saw the panic steadily building in your gaze.
"How did you get here Wan?" Natasha asks as she gently placed a hand on her to stop her.
"I walked here," she shrugs the redhead off, and once again she tries to walk away, but Natasha grabs her shirt from behind and pulls her towards the house, "You'll have the couch."
Natasha lightly shoved Wanda passed the threshold, the animosity clear in her gesture, then she pulled your stunned form indoors and into her much warmer body for a brief hug, "Go back to bed krolick," she kissed your cheek, then silently ushered you up the stairs.
As soon as you were gone the redhead sat across from her best friend with a stern glare, "How long have you been fucking my sister?"
Wanda grimaced, it sounded so dirty when she said it like that, and you were anything but. Engaging with you sinfully was never a dirty experience, it was always a heartwarming one.
"Don't say it like that," she spat, and met her glare with one of her own, "It's not like that."
"How is it not?" Natasha pressed, "People don't let their girlfriend go on dates with other girls."
"She's not my girlfriend," Wanda's tone was much quieter now, she was clearly ashamed, and that was enough to settle Nat's worries.
"Fix this mess Wanda. You're my bestfriend, but Y/N is." Wanda cut her off, "Everything."
"Da," Natasha nodded as she stood, glad they could come to such an agreement. Nat quietly moved towards a chest near the stairs and pulled a blanket from it to give to the brunette, "Get some rest Wanda, tomorrow's a new day."
Natasha returned to her room, and upon seeing it empty of you she couldn't help but to smile. Of course you couldn't just wait for tomorrow.
You initially did return to her bed, but you were restless the more you thought about the way this night had played out. As much as you tried to remember your agreement, you could not shake the fact that Wanda was here for you. She walked here in the dead of night just to get to you, she recklessly paid no mind to her future's stability when she punched those girls, nor to her safety when she walked here alone.
The image of her busted hands is what made you leave the comfort of your sister's bed as you went to collect the first aid kit, and once you heard Natasha's door close you descended to make your way to the living room. With a cautious step you entered to see Wanda with her eyes closed, but you knew she was awake. You'd spent too many mornings trapped in her arms to not know when she's merely resting.
"Wands," you lightly brushed your fingers over the arm that now laid over her closed eyes, "You need to sit up for me." She slid her arm up so that she could peak up at you, "Why?"
You sighed through your nose as you held up the kit, she softened her eyes, but she didn't move, she felt too undeserving, "I'm okay Y/N, you should go to sleep, you must be tired."
"I'm not," you relayed a half truth, because you were truly exhausted, but you couldn't sleep, not with her hurting just a floor below you.
When Wanda realized you weren't going to give up she sat up, pulling her legs to her chest in a protective position and you settled down next to her and began to unpack what you needed.
After her hands were disinfected and wrapped you looked into her eyes, and momentarily melted. Then, under the dim lighting in the living room you finally noticed Wanda's busted lip, and the deep cut overlaying her eyebrow.
It infuriated you to think that they'd retaliated so brutally, "They look worse detka," Wanda cockily muttered, her green eyes had yet to leave your face, so she easily read your troubled thoughts. You rolled your eyes at the sight of her smug, ego inflating smile.
"Doesn't help," you grumbled, with a clenched jaw you reached up to trace a soaked gauze pad over her brow, her eyes fluttered shut, and your heart broke further at the soft breath she sucked between her teeth. She was trying to downplay the hurt, but it wasn't working.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, and her eyes shot open within an instant. It was easy enough to believe you meant it over the first aid, but she knew you well enough to know it went deeper.
"Don't," she warned, "You have no reason to be. I never should've let you go out with her."
"Wanda," you sighed softly, "I'm not yours."
Her lip wobbled as you spoke the truth, it was her biggest regret to date. "Do you want to be?"
"Goodnight Wanda," you easily deflected, standing up to retreat, you suddenly felt overexposed under her gaze, but she rounded the couch and blocked you from leaving. Far too desperate to let you just slip away again.
"Y/N," she pleaded, "Don't run, I'm begging."
"Wanda please move, I'm tired."
"You just said you weren't," she challenged, and you whined in frustration, "Now I am."
"Y/N.."
"People can change their minds Wanda," you spat while brushing passed her, as guilty as you felt over her physical state, you weren't going to just give her a pass for her transgressions.
"Yeah, I know, that's what I'm trying to do."
"Until the next pretty girl traipses passed you in a skirt at a party, then you'll go fuck her."
"No," Wanda rejected, dulled eyes now glazed over, it's true what they say, the truth hurts.
You scoffed, "Oh, sorry, does she fuck you?"
Wanda looked up at you in disbelief, you were getting bold here, and as much as she deserved it that one especially hurt. Because the truth was no, she never let anyone but you touch her.
"Of course not, Y/N, I-I," she tried to tell you, but it was proving hard. Vulnerability wasn't exactly her strong suit, not romantically that is.
"I can't do it anymore Wands," you admitted, the fury in your tone replaced with exhaustion.
"Wait, what are you saying?"
"I talked to Mama, she said I can move back in, my old room is still the same," you smiled at her sadly, "I think this is best for us both."
"No," she was now clinging to your shirt, you saw the way she winced while gripping your shirt and it hurt you to see her so broken. It was all your doing, she was truly better off.
"I love you," the words flew out of her mouth desperately, she clung to you even harder, and continued to whisper the hypnotizing words.
"Wanda, I love you too, but—."
"No, I mean it in the sickening way in which I wake up before our alarms go off just to watch you sleep," she rushed the words out in a panic, failing to see the slight twitch at the corner of your lips. "An-and sometimes I want to dance with you in the middle of the street, like after one of Lena's games because you just always look so damn pretty under the street lights."
You cut her off with a kiss, it was fleeting, and earned you whimpers of disappointment as you pulled away, "Do you mean it Wanda? This isn't just some weird way to get me to stay?"
She instantly shook her head, "I've never meant anything like I do this Y/N, I want you."
"Ask me again." Your lips ghosted dangerously over hers, teasing her with the possibility for more if she'd just speak her heart. "Marry me?"
"Woah, Wanda chill," you cackled in a whisper, "You're skipping like so many of the steps."
The brunette smirked at you, "Why play by the fixed rules when I know how it ends detka?"
"Oh, so you are a fortune teller now?" She nodded. "Yeah, let me tell you how this goes." Her smile was wicked as she lowered her tone, "Tonight, you're going to take me to bed, and hopefully you'll make the wedding bells ring."
Wanda squealed quietly when you lunged forward and attached your lips to hers. Convenience was on your side tonight as you walked Wanda back until she met a door, you opened it with ease, and she stumbled as she lost the support of the wood as you pushed her passed the threshold and onto your mattress.
Wanda giggled maniacally, effectively breaking the kiss. "What's so funny?" You questioned with a smirk as you stared down at her, you very much understood her amused expression.
"Barney is staring into my soul," she mused, truth be told the idea of you making love to her in your childhood room wasn't a fantasy she ever indulged in back in high school, but it was one she repeatedly had, especially after one of your softball games. It always got her heated.
"He'd approve," you reasoned and she quirked a brow at you, "What? I love you, and you love me, and that's like his entire monologue."
She slapped your shoulder and gasped, "Y/N!"
"Shall I stop then?" You began to lift off of her but she shook her head in the negatory so fast you moved your lips to the soft skin of her neck instead. "Good, because I didn't want to."
"Never do," she whimpered, her body shaking with excitement as you lightly touched her.
Wanda was wearing a zip up jacket, as you marked up the sensitive skin of her throat your hand wandered up to the zipper. She clasped her hand over yours in a pleading manner, her not so subtle attempt to urge you on quicker. She guided your hand down, unzipping the grey jacket that you now recognize to be your own only to reveal her bare chest to you.
A wave of arousal surged through you seeing that she wore nothing beneath your jacket. "Fucking hell Wanda," you groaned a moment later as you removed a pair of your sweats to find the same reality. You realize now that she must've been waiting for you to return to your dorm in only one of her many oversized shirts.
You chuckled, "Oh you are such a fucking slut." Wanda whimpered affectedly, you always knew just how to get the brunette going with your taunts, as well as your touches. She squirmed as you focused in on her breasts with your mouth. Swirling your hot tongue around the cooled metal that pierced through her extremely sensitive nubs, all while your hands were feather light as they roamed her body.
"Please," Wanda hadn't even been a prisoner to your teasing touches for a minute before she was canting her hips up and begging for more. "I need you detka, please! No one else can touch me like you do Y/N... Only you..."
Wanda smiled insecurely as you stared at her a bit dumbfounded. The answer to your question was in her glistening eyes, she's being honest.
A new wave of pride surged through your chest at the knowledge. Something almost feral took over your mind at the idea that only you've had Wanda beneath you. Nobody else will ever get to see her like this, a total beauty to marvel at with her hair splayed across the sheets as she desperately sought your touch. They'll never know what it's like to kiss her breathless, or to taste her divined nectar, or get to masterfully bring her over that edge of bliss like you do.
Wanda's body trembled with delight as you sloppily kissed down it, you were moving at a speed she wasn't accustomed to. Normally you were slow, and teasing, but it was as if a switch went off and you lost control of your urges.
You stopped just as you reached her cunt, hot breaths fanning over her mound from your nose after each stuttered inhale you took in. Saliva slowly accumulated in your mouth as you breathed her aromatic arousal in. It was like second nature the way you moved, surging forward and licking up her juices, trailing your tongue up the entirety of her slit with a moan.
You used your tongue to part her folds, exposing her stuttering entrance to you, it amused you to no end to see her this desperate.
Wanda Maximoff, the campuses notoriously known player has fallen for you. Even with her endless supply of girls to fuck she chose you. It doesn't sound all that romantic to an outsider, but to you, someone who knew Wanda wholly, you knew this was the best possible outcome.
Thoughts tumbled around your head as you worked out what to do next, you took a deep breath, and upon release you bit your lip as Wanda's back arched at the cool sensation.
"Y/N, detka, please stop teasing me..."
After a brief moment of silence you shocked her as you entered her with three fingers, there was no resistance either as she was slicked up.
Wanda rocked her hips in unison with your fingers thrusts, she was dripping down your palm in only a matter of seconds. Had you not had her feeling so euphoric she might've even been embarrassed, but she admittedly wasn't.
All she felt was bliss, and she expressed as such when she screamed your name aloud as you sucked her clit between your lips. You began softly nibbling the bundle of raging nerves to urge her release on. Wanda absolutely lost her mind, frantically thrusting off the bed to meet your fingers, which is something you'd usually control with a hand on her hip, but tonight you felt generous, her desperation was welcomed.
Her slick smeared across your lower face as you continued to shower her clit with attention as your fingers pace picked up. Wanda's tears and drool soaked through your pillowcases as she lost herself to the building pleasure inside.
"Is my precious little slut close?" You asked the question, but with the way her walls gripped you into a state of near stillness was already enough of an answer. Still, you wanted her reply, but she was a bit too lost in the pleasure so you slapped her thigh. "Answer me slut!"
Wanda mewled shakily, "Fuck, yes, 'm so close, please detka." You couldn't deny how much her breathless pleadings turned you on, it was so damn hot and you were consequently dripping.
"Go on then baby, let go for me like the whore we both know you are," you commanded this right above her clit, offering a subtle vibration that drove her up the wall. Her thighs tensed, and she gushed around your fingers as they curled within her just right, her back arched off the bed, and the two of you moaned in unison.
No amount of sex with Wanda would ever leave you bored, the sight of her with those hazy eyes and mouth agape as you continued to thrust into her was a sight worthy of the Louvre.
"You taste so good baby," At the sight of your glistening smirk, the brunette smiled wide, Wanda absolutely adored your cockier side.
"Come here please," she rasped, her hands lazily reached for you, and you obliged. Leaving love bites on her sweaty skin before you were kissing her languidly. Wanda sighed, "Perfect."
"Yeah?" You chuckled, effectively breaking the kiss to show her your amusement with a smile. Wanda nodded, her hands quickly fell to rest atop of your ass, and that's when she frowned.
So lost in the throes of pleasure she'd never gotten you out of your clothes. Her greatest joy is to feel your skin against hers, your warmth grounding her as she gives into pleasure, and it was taken away by her overtly needy nature.
"Take it off detka!" She commanded, her hands harshly gripped your ass cheeks, softly wincing as it caused her injured hands pain, but she ignored that ache because you moaned, she only continued to massage the covered skin.
"Now," the low, domineering grumble of her voice shook you, it felt like your wetness was seeping through your sleep shorts, and as you stood up you saw it did as her thigh glistened.
Wanda leaned up on her elbows, watching you with lust blown eyes as you hastily slid out of your bottoms. A raspy cackle came from her as you nearly fell flat on your face, "Careful love."
"Bite me," you grumbled as you slowly pulled the fabric from your body, in part because you wanted to tease her. “Oh sweetheart, I will.”
She threw her had back with laughter, her abs more defined as she tensed with each inhale. Your face was priceless, you might be topping right now, but she always had to remind you just how easily the script could be flipped.
Then she fell silent when she looked back at you, her chest rose unsteadily as the light of the moon casted over your bareness. Fuck, nobody would ever compare to you, you were the woman of her every fantasy. Her body and mind craved you in different ways, something that had never happened to her before you.
"Come on detka, I want to feel you up."
“Nope.” Wanda scowled as you told her she couldn't use her hands, you’d informed her of as you crawled up to hover her. She went to protest, but it died on her tongue as she felt your pert nipples brush over her hot skin. It became apparent that it didn't matter how she had you when she needed you this bad; more than a man stranded in a desert needed water.
"Then ride my face instead," she panted, clearly affected by the feel of your slicked cunt. She found herself feeling a bit too impatient to have to wait to have you another moment longer with your warmth all over her milky thigh.
She nearly melted into a puddle when she saw your concerned orbs staring into hers, "I don't want to hurt you Wan, maybe we wait for you to heal, and until then I'll tend to your needs."
"Y/N, I need you," she sternly stated, "I might combust if I can't taste you, please detka?!"
"Okay," you acquiesced easily, it wasn't like you weren't equally as desperate for the relief.
Wanda licked her lips once your cunt hovered over her mouth, as if she'd been served a five star Michelin meal. Traces of your slick befell her lips, and she breathed a sigh through her nose as she finally got a taste of you. In her expert opinion your divined essence exceeds such notorious perfection. Wagyu steak, and stuffed lobster could never compare here.
Now that you hovered over her you worried about her overall safety. This was like a godsend to the brunette, the one who's begged you for months to try this, but you always had an excuse. Primarily being the twin mattress.
You both always knew it was more than that, but you never had to voice that before. But as you knelt on your queen size mattress with the squeaky boxsprings you found you were still nervous. Riding her felt like an exhilarating idea, but you weren’t ever really one for an adrenaline rush. You liked to play it safe.
Wanda’s never been safe. You loved her for who she was, but who she was, was a mess. With that chaos though came new experiences. New, pleasure filled worlds. Taking your vanilla experience and leaving it in your past. Just to bring you to nirvana almost every night.
Obviously you could say no, but disappointing Wanda was the last thing you wanted to do. It also appeared disappointing to you as well.
You didn’t want to hurt her. You’d never forgive yourself. You knew she would.
"Don't be scared," she whispers against the skin of your tense thigh, "Just lower yourself onto my face and I'll make you feel so good." Wanda saw hesitation flicker in your eyes, and she smiled softly upwards. "Please detka."
Wanda sighed in defeat, "It's okay." She tapped your thigh tenderly, waving her metaphorical white flag so you didn't feel any pressure. That made you panic though, "No, I-I can do it."
"Only if you want to," Wanda reaffirmed. "I'd love for you to ride my face, using me for your pleasure, but I can eat you regardless. I'd never want you to do something you didn't want to." She looked deeply into your curious eyes, her honest disposition settled most of the doubt.
"I do want to," you whimpered, "Just, promise me you'll tell me if I'm too much, I—."
"None of that," Wanda tutted, "You'll never be too much of anything detka." Her arms looped around your thighs, and she grinned. "God, you smell so delicious," she groaned as the scent of your arousal increased as she tugged you down.
"Feel free to suffocate me darling," she teased with an attractive wink before she pulled you down the rest of the way and plunged her tongue right on in to your pulsing heat.
Wanda was dripping unendingly onto the mattress as you moaned, and took over almost instantly. She wanted to be in control, but she was far too thrilled to see your fears had faded with the pleasure she offered you to take it.
With every hurried thrust of your hips the tip of Wanda's nose would brush your clit, and you'd mewl, she felt like she was in a porno. It became apparent you were close, handling Wanda earlier had left you teetering. Your hips would still at random now, usually spurred on by a swish of her tongue. Her expertise left you immobilized by a blinding pleasure, it pooled low in your abdomen, you were at the edge.
Wanda's tongue slid from within you, she ran it up your slit, flicking over your clit teasingly. You pressed down, hopeful for more relief, and the brunette appeased you with a hum. The vibration sending you crashing into your orgasm hard. You'd instantly lost your balance, falling into the oak headboard with a deep moan as your slick trickled down her throat.
A deep growl of dissatisfaction left your lovers lips as you fell beside her on the mattress. She wasn't done with you, not even in the slightest. However, she knew neither of your bodies had much left to give after such a draining day.
Still, she found the strength to hold herself up with an elbow on either side of your head. You were so lost in the haze of your afterglow that you couldn’t even hear her. You saw a blurry mouth moving, but didn’t come to until you felt her barely pressing her pelvis into yours.
Wanda pleaded with crazy eyes, “Fuck, detka, can I try something?" You blinked up at her, trying to see through your bleary eyes as you were definitely still coming back down. "I just," she paused, unable to stop herself from kissing the pout that formed on your face. "I know you're tired, but can I rub our pussies together, please? I’ll be quick" Her eyes darkened as she saw the flicker of desire return to your eyes.
"Yes." Wanda smirked. "Such a smart girl, this will feel so damn good, I promise you detka."
Wanda pressed her cunt into yours with more force, you watched her mouth fall agape with rapt attention. She always looked so gorgeous when she was coming close. It turned you on to think that this had been a fantasy of hers. Just like the one you’d had floating in your mind.
“Shit,” you breathed, “Mommy please…”
Wanda’s hips stuttered, “Fuck,” she felt a gush of wetness on her thighs, your Freudian slip aroused her beyond normalcy. “You’re such a good girl,” she coo’d, “Letting your mommy use you likes this.” She sighed, “You’re so pretty.”
“Thank you mommy,” you beamed, genuinely flattered at her tenderness. You’d barely got the words out before her lips slammed into yours.
With her tongue down your throat you went mindless. Hips moving on autopilot against your lovers as you got closer to bliss. Wanda was meeting you with the same fervor. Her lips had moved to your throat now as she’d needed something to bite, her teeth sunk into the juncture between your throat and collarbone.
“Need to cum,” you choked out, “Mommy you feel so good, please, can I cum for you?”
Wanda’s breath hitched, she wasn’t used to it yet, but fuck, it was growing on her fast.
“Go on, be a good girl and cum with me,” she groaned, the vibration against your throat made you feel exponentially dizzy. “Mommy!”
“Oh shit,” she brokenly sobbed, “Mommy’s good girl,” her lips laid a trembling kiss over the bruising juncture, “So fucking beautiful…”
“Don’t stop,” you cried. She wheezed, “I won’t.”
The both of you cried from the overstimulation, but neither of you stopped as you lazily spread your wetnesses around. Wanda’s hot tongue soothed your new indents, the taste of copper telling her just how deeply she’d claimed you.
Her lips softened their intent, gentle kisses being left behind on your face. Feeling as your cheek shook beneath her lips as you tried to stifle a laugh. Then you lost your resolved and giggled as she continued subtly tickling you.
Wanda loved your laugh, so she kept it up for a few minutes before her tired arms gave out. Her body collapsed into yours, and she just spent the next five minutes breathing heavily against your neck. Her hair boxing her in, and leaving behind a sparing layer of condensation.
With your eyes closed, and body still you began to drift into a state of mid-sleep. Then you felt a not so gentle tug of your skin between teeth.
Your girlfriend was insatiable… Girlfriend?
Wanda leaned back up with reinvigorated strength. Her wrapped hand lay awkwardly against your throat as she began to ramble, “As soon as these bruises yellow I'm grabbing you by the throat and fucking you against the wall of our dorm." Her eyes were wild with lust, there was no doubt that she was being honest. "Gotta consummate the fact that you're mine."
You’re sure that confirms you’re girlfriends.
Your heart fluttered joyously. She was yours.
Arousal that lingered in your belly pulsated as her eyes filled with possession. You are hers. All she wants is to claim you wholly. "If I wasn't so tired I'd slip the harness on now and fuck you dumb." You felt your pussy throb, body lightly writhing and catching her attention as it jolted her numb pussy back to life. She was considering powering through, then she turned to check the time and saw the morning sun was filtering through the sides of the curtains.
Distorted, bright red lines flashed: 6:00AM.
On a Monday, both of your busiest school day.
Wanda chuckled tiredly against your shoulder, “This is why you don’t party on Sunday’s silly girl.” She turned back to face you after seeing the time. "Mr. Coulson is going to throw a fit."
"Oh shit, I can't miss another Biology lecture," you groaned in realization and the beauty on your chest laughed shortly. "Mrs. Potts will understand detka, I was her TA last semester, and I'll just tell her that I gave you the flu."
"Dishonesty is grounds for expulsion Wanda."
Wanda snorted, "Then let's hope we don't get caught." You frowned further, hand holding her wrapped one. "What if they tell on you?"
"They won't," she murmured with confidence. "They got their licks in too, if anything, the assholes probably found the fight arousing."
"I sure did," you breathlessly say, regretting it just as soon as her smirking face hovers yours, warm lips pressed into yours gently, starkly contradicting her tongues electrifying touch.
The kiss ends with a soft pop, Wanda gazes at you with sparkling eyes, and an adoring smile.
"You still shouldn't have done it," you remind her, and she merely shakes her head. "Listen close Y/N. I will never let anyone disrespect what I hold dear to my heart. Defending you against creeps is the easiest decision ever."
"Our future depends upon you graduating."
Wanda beams at your words. "Is this you accepting my proposal?" You giggled softly when her face fell as you shook your head.
"Conditionally," you decide. "If you want to marry me, then you have to show me that you're serious about our future. Less partying, no more other people, and no more violence."
Wanda sighs with perceptible conviction, "I promise you Y/N, there's no way in hell I'm ever watching you leave. We're endgame." Then after she watches understanding flash through your gaze she kisses your lips once more before burrowing into your chest.
"I'm all in then." Wanda's body relaxed as you followed your words with a kiss to her cheek.
Then in a blink she was fast asleep.
Just as you were about to fall asleep, drooping eyes trained on Wanda's beautiful face your phone dinged, and you picked it up, only to see your group chat with your sisters was active.
*Natasha, make it stop! My ears are bleeding*
*Yelena, turn on some music like I did every time you and Kate did this in HS and sleep.*
*You're lucky Mama's out of town,* Natasha wrote, directed at you, *Good problem solving skills, glad you're learning something in school, but please, leave sex for your dorm.*
*Tell Wanda to sleep with one eye open!*
Yelena's message wasn't as cordial, it was a clear threat, and enough to make you snort. Somehow Wanda remained asleep, soft snores blowing across your chest a direct reassurance.
You were thankful for that, the poor girl was wiped, and didn't need the embarrassment, you'd save that for the awkward breakfast.
*I love you guys. I’ll buy donuts, okay, bye.*
*2 dozen! Mostly maple bars, obviously! 👀*
*We love you too. (Cherry danish please) ❤️*
You smiled, shaking your head free of any surges of embarrassment. For now you’d decided to close your eyes, forget all the noise, and slip into a world of endless possibilities.
Snoring in tandem with your girlfriend.
Wanda Maximoff was your girlfriend.
If only teenage you could see you now. She’d be so excited, she’d likely faint. Then wake up hours later concussed, wearing a dopy smile with a thumbs up. You finally took the risk.
It paid off—you won the lottery.

paring: Natasha Romanoff, Yelena Belova, and their older brother
summary: when Yelena accidently gets hurt, her older brother is there to help her have fun again. and Natasha is just laughing at her brother.
warnings: i don't think any, it's just fluff/comfort
a/n: got this idea cuz last year my class went to the younger kids school and this little girl came up to me and pulled a children's makeup kit, and asked to do my makeup so i could, and i quote, "be a pretty boy" as i trans man, I wanted to cry but like, anyway. I wore that makeup look for the entire day. also, nicknames are ones my family members call me and they are definitely my favorites that people call me. kind of a weird ending but i just wanted to remind yall the pain that is Natasha knew her family was fake the entire time she was there and had to live with that.
-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
With one sister on your shoulders and the other cradled in your arms, you walk away from the playground and back to your house. Yelena hit her head on a tree, and after comforting her, you put Natalia on your shoulders and picked up the little blonde to take them home. It’s easy to hold the light girls, so you do the entire neighborhood block walk.
Your mother sees you guys from the kitchen window where she’s washing dishes, and signs before walking outside and taking Yelena from your arms. The little girl is always getting hurt, which a lot of people think proves your mother and father aren’t good parents. They aren’t wrong, but you got kicked out of your old middle school for fighting with other kids who talked crap way too often. It wasn’t about defending your reputation, but your younger sisters. Your reputation is long gone, being known as Strings in hydra due to your ability to control minds. But Natalia and Yelena, they shouldn’t have to deal with that yet. Natalia already has, and now that you guys can live in semi peace in Ohio you are determined to let her keep that peace.
You lean down a bit so Natasha doesn’t hit her head as you walk through the front door, following your mother to the living room and setting the blue haired girl down on the couch and making your way to the kitchen for an ice pack.
“What happened? Your mom asks you. “We were playing tag and she didn't notice the tree in front of her because she was focused on me behind her.” You say, and the older woman sighs and orders, “you need to start taking better care of your sisters alright?” you quietly scoff and mumble, “Right.” Being the oldest sibling and already in your teen years, it is your duty to watch over your younger sisters all day while your dad is at work and your mom simply does whatever she feels like doing that afternoon. You love the girls, but sometimes you wish you could go off and have fun like all the kids in your school get to do. But you would never complain, just out of fear that Melina- your mother- would send you back to Hydra to be locked up in a cell once again to only be used when they need you.
Yelena holds the ice pack to her own forehead and gives you a small smile. “I'm okay солнечный свет.” Sunshine. That's what the small blonde said in Russian. When you and Natasha first moved to Ohio- Yelena coming soon after that- the little girl's were the only ones who could get through your stone cold heart. That earned you the title, “Sunshine” in Russian from them, and they became known to you as: “Пчелка” and “конфеты”.
“little bee” and “candy”
Yelena is little bee, simply for the fact that she loves bees. and Natalia is candy because she loves to dye her hair different colors. It's basically just a shortened version of the nickname cotton candy.
Your mom goes back to the dishes, and you pick each little girl up in each arm and carry them to your room over your shoulders like they're sacks of potatoes. This earns you loud laughs from the children as you throw them down on your bed.
The girls have lots of their own personal stuff in your room, because they spend most nights in your bed, making you read them stories and watch cartoons with them. You're always happy to spend time with your siblings, and you try your best not to let the little voice inside your head saying, “they're not your real family and they never will be” take over.
Both girls get comfortable on your bed, and you open a book as you lay in the middle of them. Suddenly Yelena's little voice speaks up, “солнечный свет?” you hum in acknowledgement and glance up from the book for a quick second. “Can I do your makeup?” Her question catches you a bit off guard and you giggle. “Mine? Why mine?” She shrugs. “Because you let me run into a tree.” She states casually, and Natalia chuckles at the gaslighting. The little girl is learning so much from her two older siblings.
You sigh, sending her a smile and putting your book down. “Of course you can little bee. Go grab your stuff.” She runs to her own room with a giggle, and comes back with a sparkly pink children's makeup kit. Your mother got it for her a bit ago, but Yelenas never really been too interested in stuff like makeup- unless she's putting it on you of course.
She settles into Natalia's lap, and opens the kit. “So big brother, what color eyeshadow do you want?” The little girl asks, and you quickly reply with an answer you know she'll love, “The brightest pink you got kid.” Natalia helps her scan through the colors until they eventually settle on one. She uses the tiny brush to begin putting it on your now closed eyelids, and you try your best to not flinch away every time she presses the brush too hard into your eyes.
She then moves onto blush, and you peak one eye open when Natalia giggles. Yelena is pushing the makeup brush into a shimmery blue, and then draws a small circle on the middle of both your cheeks. She grabs one of the lipstick tubes, and you're just praying it isn't the one she used to draw on a tree the other day.
Natalia won't stop laughing the whole time, you open your eyes to glare at the eleven year old for a few seconds which only makes her laugh harder.
A few minutes later, Yelena says, “And…….done! you look so pretty солнечный свет!” She hands you a small mirror, and you take a moment to look at yourself in the blurry plastic. You have bright pink on your eyelids that messily goes onto your eyebrows, small blue circles acting as blush like an old timey doll, purple lipstick that barely covers your lip and goes onto the rest of your face, and a random red blob on your chin.
Even with this terrible makeup, you smile at your little sister. “I look amazing Lena!” you half lie, because it truly does look good because it was done by your sister. Anything she could do in life would be amazing to you.
Her smile grows, and you can't help but burst into laughter at the way Natalia is looking at you. Her eyes are scanning your face, and she doesn't say anything for a moment before she begins laughing too. Yelena doesn't seem to care, as she presses a kiss to your nose and giggles when you scrunch it.
Your mother calls for Yelena to come pick up her toys in the living room, and there is silence between you and Natalia until she mumbles, “Why do you love us? We're not your real siblings.” There is no harshness to her words, just curiosity. “Because it's real in another universe. And it's real to her.” She looks up at you confused, so you elaborate, “The multiverse. In another universe, we are all blood related. None of our pasts ever happened. No red room, no hydra, no Dreykov. Just us.” She smiles, a bit of hope in her eyes. “Is the multiverse real солнечный свет?” She asks. You sigh. “I don't know Tasha…..but if it was….would you rather spend an eternity searching for the perfect one, or stay in this one where we have okay lifes?” She takes a moment to think about it before she nods, “I'd rather stay here. Lena's happy, I'm pretty happy, and I think you're happy.” You chuckle and press a kiss to her forehead. “I'm very happy candy…..so happy.”

The room was lit by an eerie hue of white-blue light and the occasional bursts of pixilated color cast by the television screen. You weren't paying any attention to the movie. It was another generic action film from the 90's and the quality was crap. Instead, your eyes drifted to watch the flickering bulb of the lamppost out the window - a story down and across the street.
A man stood under it, wearing a raincoat with the hood pulled up. It hadn't rained for weeks. He pulled a small box from the inner breast pocket of his coat and removed a cigarette. He lit it with a small lighter he pulled from the pocket of his dark jeans. The end of it burned red-orange and the smoke cast a shadow in the purple hue of the lamp light which made it look like a lanky dancing ghost.
"It hasn't rained in a month." Yelena commented, lowering her chin on to your shoulder to follow your gaze and peer out the window from behind you. She had muted the explosive blasts emitting from the system - the effects too loud and the talking too quiet. The movie must have had a production budget of fifty bucks. "I know."
Another man immerged from the darkness, and you watched, silently with Yelena, as they exchanged greetings. The second man, the new character, linked his arm with the first and kissed him on the cheek. The first man handed him the cigarette and together they smoked beneath the purple light of the lamppost, hand in hand. Behind you, Yelena awed. "They're adorable! Do you think their dating?"
With a scrunched-up nose, you relaxed back into the sofa and into the soft pressure of Yelena's body. "Probably, but who cares." You had lost interest in the inappropriately dressed man and his chain-smoking partner, casting your eyes back to the soundless screen. You squinted. It was always just a little too bright when it was dark out, but you didn't bother learning how to adjust the settings.
"You're just jealous because he has a partner, and you don't." You felt yourself tense, but Yelena's laugh and playful shove was all obviously meant as a non-serious tease. Still, you found yourself wanting to tell her. Needing too. It had been kept a secret from your surrogate sister for too long already, and this felt like the perfect opportunity. "What... What if I don't want a partner? Like, what if I'd rather just be me? Just my own person."
"What do you mean?" Yelena asked, turning in her seat to sit facing you, legs crossed up under her. Suddenly the flashing from the television set felt like it was putting out two much heat. Your face burned and you bent over to grab the remote from the coffee table in front of the sofa, switching off the power. The room was encased in a sudden black - your eyes struggling to adjust with now only the outskirts of the lamppost shading to light the dark apartment from the outside in.
You blinked several times as if that would help and, still feeling hot, threw your side of the blanket back into Yelena's lap. "I just mean, like, what if all that romantic dating-marriage-and-kids thing isn't for me? What if I don't want that?" Yelena slid closer to you in the dark and stretched her arm around the back of the sofa behind you. She laid her cheek against her arm, the rounded tip of her nose nuzzling your grey-cotton covered shoulder. "Like... what if your aromantic?"
Your heart pounded violently in your chest, the tips of your ears tingling with quick setting panic. Fight of flight was kicking in. You took a breath, deep and shaky. "Yeah. Something like that. Something... yeah." Yelena nodded against your shoulder, her calm soothing you just a little. Was she cool with this? Were things about to get weird between you? "Are you asking or telling me."
"Telling, I think." You cringed at the choked way the words came out. Yelena reached for your hand in the dark and squeezed it. "Do you know I'm asexual?" You felt yourself freeze. No, you hadn't known that - but of course you hadn't, this was her way of telling you. Yelena noticed the rigidness of your posture and nudged you encouraging. "It's okay, my sibling, I know how you feel. Like an outsider, right? Like some kind of other?"
"How did you know you were asexual?" You turn to face her - too quickly and she pulls her face up to avoid being hit. Neither of you acknowledge it, though an apology shows on your night-shielded face. She can't see it, but she feels it there, heating the darkness. Yelena chuckles, an indulging sound that strikes you as something slightly relieved. "Conversation, I guess. Television. Commercials and things like that. I just kind of knew it's not something I cared about, but I didn't realize that made me different until I got away from the Red Room and got to experience life for myself. You know, like, normally?"
"But how do you know?" you pressed, fiddling with Yelena's ringless fingers in your lap. "Why?" Your gaze lifted to hers and then dropped again, she wasn't being defensive, only curious. Releasing her hand, you pulled your knees to your chest and hugged them. "Because I think I'm asexual too." Yelena sighed and reached out to touch your leg above your ankle. As always, there were a thousand words hidden in her touch. "So, how do you know?"
"I don't. I mean, I think I do...but I'm not sure."
"Okay, I can make this easy. Name a guy you think is hot and that you would want to fuck." The silence spoke volumes. You tried to think, you really did. Was there a guy? A celebrity or someone you had met on the street, maybe? People were nice looking, but so were the stars in the night sky and house plants. You didn't want to fuck any of it. Finally, you shook your head. "How about a girl? A nonbinary person?" Again, the answer was the same. "No, no I don't think so. But I don't know what that means."
"It means sex isn't something that appeals to you, right?" Her tone was gentle and the way she reached for you, sliding closer, made you feel safe and understood. You were able to relax a bit, but only a bit. Nodding, you answered her, head to clustered to properly respond. "And neither is romance? You don't want either of those things?"
"Does that make me a freak?" you blurted, then shame compelled you to attempt to play it off with an awkward grin. Yelena wasn't having it. "No, you're not a freak. Neither of us are. We just want different things out of life." She shrugged and leaned back at an angle against the couch, smiling at you. Her smile was contagious. "I still don't want to be alone though."
"Neither do I. But there's more to love than just romance and sex. Society has us brainwashed." It was true. There was no denying that. Your gaze drifted back to the window - the couple was gone. Yelena's arms wrapped around you in a hug, and you laid your head against hers. Your knees dropped and she scooted closer, her head on your collarbone as you shifted to get better adjusted. "We have each other," she promised "and we will find other siblings. Other friends who become like family. We don't have to be alone. We can be happy."
You smiled wide, surprised to feel a rivulet of tears making its way down your cheek - the others landing in Yelena's blonde hair. She didn't complain. Instead, she hugged you tighter. "I love you." You told her, playing off a sniffle with a cough. "I love you too, my sibling. More than anything." It was like a weight lifted and you could breathe, truly breathe, for the first time. You closed your eyes and hugged her tighter and, in the darkness of your apartment, she held you while you cried.

Jaw’s totally keeps a picture of Natasha, Wanda, and Yelena in their wallet. Do they have a phone? Sure. But it’s not the same. They need this picture.
🥺
"I don't see the big picture, I have a little picture. I take it out and look at it every day." - Pietro Maximoff
You can't tell me Jaws doesn't have that same sentiment.
I did that to myself and now I need a friggin hug

Yelena’s Diary
Yelena Belova X Fem!Reader
Prompt: Natasha finds Yelena’s diary which results in the contents of the diary getting revealed to you.
WC: 1.7k
Tumblr media
Warnings: siblings threatening to kill each other
__________
She should’ve known better. As the greatest spy and assassin in the world with a sibling with a similar title, she should’ve known that unless that diary was sewn to her body, Natasha was somehow  going to get her grubby hands on it.
“Give it back, Natasha!” She hisses.
They were like school girls, things that Yelena would only ever see happening in the American TV shows, not between two assassins. Natasha flips through the pages, while simultaneously dodging Yelena’s efforts to retrieve the book.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk. How many chapters are you going to spend complaining about the team and complimenting Y/N?” she questions.
“Natasha, I am not afraid to stab you!” the younger sister threatens.
“Do it,” Natasha challenges. “I bet you’d love to explain to Y/N why you felt the need to stab her favorite Black Widow.”
“-you are not her favorite Black Widow!”
“Just because you wrote it in your diary doesn’t mean it’s actually true-”
“Stop it!” Yelena screams once more. This time she pounces on to her sister’s shoulders. Natasha wildly spins knowing that Yelena was seconds away from putting her into a choke hold before throwing Yelena on to the bed.
Natasha paces away, flipping through the pages and gaining a few more paragraphs before her sister would rush to attack once more. “Who taught you to draw a heart like that, Lena?”
The younger widow pouts. “Give it back, Natasha!”
That’s the thing about older siblings. They’re a menace.
At this point, the two widows were running through the compound. The blonde chasing the red head with no one to stop them. No one except-
The elevator door opens, revealing you. You just returned from your mission only to see Natasha trying to evade Yelena who looked ready to murder her. You raise your eyebrow, noticing how they were far too busy trying to fight each other that they didn’t hear the elevator door.
Your eyes dart to see Steve walking past you with a book in his hand. Tapping his shoulder to get his attention, you gesture towards the widows. “What happened?”
Steve only lets out a laugh, shaking his head. “Yelena’s been chasing Nat for hours.” He explains before leaving you to your thoughts.
As amusing as it is to watch the two widows play a game of cat and mouse, you figured that it was time for the two to reconcile as you carefully approach them, making sure not to get too close just in case Yelena decides to throw a knife at Natasha and you aren’t able to dodge it in time.
Eventually you get close enough, crossing your arms, fighting the amused smirk that was forming at your lips. When you let out a cough, the fight instantly stops. Natasha smiles brightly when she sees you, almost too brightly. Meanwhile, Yelena looks more horrified than she is happy. Part of your heart wrenches as to why she looks so disheartened to see you. She was always happy to see you.
“That’s enough fighting for you two, don’t you think?” You suggest, eyes darting between Yelena and then Natasha.
Natasha glances at Yelena, nodding, “I agree.” Her response only earns another glare from the blonde widow.
“How was your mission?” Yelena asks you.
You shrug, “Standard.” Your eyes catch at what seems like a journal in Natasha’s hand. “I didn’t know you journal, Nat.”
Natasha holds the book up, the smile on her face becoming more mischievous. “Oh me? Oh no,this isn’t mine. This is-”
“Natasha stop! Don’t you dare ruin this for me!” Yelena hisses.
But just before Natasha can say anything, Yelena pounces on her. Your eyes widen at the violence and Yelena’s sudden persistence. You knew if you didn’t act now, the floors of the Avengers facility might be painted red. So your arms grab Yelena’s shoulders and you pull her until her back is flushed against you.
“That’s enough!” you bark, trying to get the two siblings to stop.
Yelena almost instantly relaxes in your hold. It wasn’t your first time holding her. In fact, you’ve hugged her many times before whether it be before missions when you return home from missions or whenever she’s upset. Your touch was like an instant sedative.
This one especially.
Natasha sighs in relief, but her hand was still clutching the book. When she meets eyes with her sister, she notices how Yelena almost looks like she melted into a pool of her own love for you. Regardless, you pull Yelena away, dragging her to her room before things get worse.
“Oh here’s your book Yelena…” Natasha teases, handing the book to her sister. Yelena quickly snatches it before you could get your hands on it. You know better than to ask questions seeing how pissed Yelena was. You figured that you would have a chat with Natasha as to why she’s going through her sister’s belongings later. For now, you need to make sure Yelena has cooled down.
The two of you are now sitting in your room. Yelena is laying in bed while you are getting changed into more comfortable clothes. The book is held protectively over her chest. It seems to be super glued to her like she didn’t want anyone seeing what was inside.
“So…is there anything in that private journal I don’t know about?” you tease while slipping on your pajamas.
The blonde blushes profusely, “no,” she speaks a little too quickly.
“I’m not pushing, Lena. I was just curious,” you shrug. “You’re allowed to have your own private thoughts.”
Yelena looks at you for a while. She’s been doing that a lot recently where you would notice her gaze on you seemed to linger longer than expected. It made you curious at what was going through her little head.
Eventually, you plop yourself on the bed next to her and, like many other nights before, you two bask in each other’s presence. You found her shoulder comforting, so you lay your head there, too, observing her reaction intently. To your surprise, you feel her muscles visibly tense for a moment before easing into your warmth.
“Is everything okay?” you ask her suddenly.
“Everything is fine,” the assassin dismisses. “Just stop talking…”
Of course, her dismissive attitude made you just slightly more worried. Yelena was your best friend. The only time she was ever like this is when she’s afraid of something but she’s too scared to tell you. Just like the time she was secretly afraid of the sound of thunder so she actively avoided Thor and also tended to blast your music louder than usual during a storm. You knew just as well as Natasha when something was wrong with Yelena.
“You can tell me,” you whisper in the silence.
“I can’t.” Yelena whispers back, her voice small. “This is different. I-I can’t share it with you.”
You pout, looking over your shoulder to see her expression. “Why?”
“Because it’s not a good idea.”
You frown, “Do you not trust me?”
“This is different,” Yelena emphasizes more. “It will change how you look at me.”
A sigh escapes your lips as you lean into her shoulder more. “If it’s another assassination regret, you know I would never-”
“No…it’s not that.”
“But it’s bothering you,” you reason.
“No it’s not.”
You know better than to keep questioning Yelena knowing she wasn’t going to relent so you two continue to sit through the silence. You would give many things just to see what was going through her head right now or what was written in that journal of her’s that she wasn’t allowing you to see.
Part of your heart might know, but your brain looked at your denial and turned it into cold hard facts.
“If you started dating someone else, would you leave me?” Yelena asks suddenly.
“What?”
The blonde assassin nods slowly, “Would you forget about me?”
“Why would I forget about you? You’re my best friend-”
The word ‘best friend’ seems to only upset Yelena further in the way her eyes fall. You see it right away and you stop talking.
Yelena sniffles. “I don’t want to be your best friend. I want you to like me. You know? The one where you draw hearts around our names!” she blurts.
Your jaw goes slack for a moment in complete disbelief. “Y-Yelena…”
The blonde turns away from you, not wanting to face you or the consequences of her words. But you are quick to put a hand on her shoulder.
“Lena look at me…” you whisper gently.
Slowly, she turns, but her eyes don’t quite meet yours. “I ruined everything, right?”
A soft laugh escapes your lips as you shake your head. “No…no you didn’t. Would it be hard for you to believe if I said I liked you back?”
It takes a moment for the blonde to process. She didn’t even think she heard you right the first time. “M-me?”
You nod slowly, “yes you, dummy.”
If she wasn’t so enamored by the realization, she would be pouting, but hearing you say those words cause her eyes to light up like a Christmas tree. You pull her close to you.
“I like you too, Lena. I was also scared that if I told you I would ruin things,” you admit.
“Really?” Yelena questions in disbelief.
You nod slowly, “Really…”
You feel Yelena lean into your touch which allows you to press a soft kiss to her forehead. You couldn’t help but notice the smile that paints the blonde assassin’s face. It was like a schoolgirl who just found out her crush liked her back.
As you both enjoy each other’s company, another thought crosses your mind. “Wait Yelena what did you put about me in your diary?”
Yelena starts blushing as she buries her head into your shoulder. “Nothing.”
“Do you draw hearts around our names?” you tease.
“Stop it-”
“Will you let me see what you write about me in your diary?”
“No.” she says firmly, burying her head more into your shoulder.
For the rest of the night, the two of you enjoy each other’s company. A smile painted on both of your faces.
__________
OKay guyyysss i got hella lazy at the ending bc I couldn’t think of shit, but I hope you enjoy this anyway. Also, I totally havent had this sitting in my files for like 8 months...I hope everything is well with yall. Have a great day/night and rest well!

Romance Tropes with Marvel Characters
Pairing: Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Thor, Loki, Tony Stark, Kate Bishop, Peter Parker x Reader
Tags: fluff, enemies to lovers, kissing, sleeping around, doubt, confession, teasing
A/N: Back with my favorite romance tropes. God there are a lot of these.
STEVE ROGERS + LAST TO KNOW
You and everyone around you know that there's feelings between the two of you, everyone but Steve himself. He's not dumb, far from it but when it comes to romance you need to be really direct with him because subtlety has been getting you nowhere really fast and you needed to fix that. You need clear, blatant flirting, you need to wink at him, you need to tell him you like the things he does, that you like him point blank. Once he gets that he will take the gentleman route and ask you on a date.
BUCKY BARES + NOT GOOD ENOUGH
Bucky feels like there's flaws in everything he does with you, that somehow he will end up messing things up no matter how well he plans them out. His whole life has been a series of mistakes and accidents. While he knows for a fact that you're not that for him he wants to work extra hard to make sure you're not making a mistake by dating him. If only he knew that who he was was already good enough, that he is already your perfect someone. And all his imperfections are also part of why you love him.
SAM WILSON + SECRET ADMIERER
Pines over you for a good long while. Sam really wants to make sure you like him before he makes his real move so he does things like live flowers and little cute gifts in your locker. It has so be someone from the team but you don't figure out who until you catch him on his way from the flower shop, with the exact flowers appearing in your locker for the past month. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out. And since you already did and seemed t be happy with his gifts he might as well confess right now, with flowers in hand.
NATASHA ROMANOFF + BEST FRIEND'S SIBLING
Natasha is always there when you go to visit Yelena and she's always teasing you. This is much to Yelena's annoyance because she knows you like Natasha too. You never get too flirty when you're in the company of others but over the phone is a different story. When you become a couple Natasha jokes about you becoming Yelena's new sibling, something which Yelena is jokingly appalled by. Natasha is the type of person to make kissy noises at you just to annoy her little sister.
CLINT BARTON + AFRAID TO COMMIT
You and Clint have had a casual on and off relationship for years. When things are about to get serious he breaks it off, saying he needs time to think about it but you never seem to move on from this one spot. While frustrating you know why that is, he's already lost his family once, he doesn't want to risk losing someone he's grown to care so much about. He would rather that he didn't start to care, that it was casual but it's not and he does care, and that's why he's scared of opening up to you further.
THOR + PROTECTOR
For such a big guy Thor can be real cagey with his romantic feelings. He will flirt for sure, he'll even try to sleep with you but he will always maintain his status as your protective best friend. In fact he will even go so far as to say that the reason he's so flirty is because he's protecting you from other people who have bothered you before. While you can appreciate that he could do all of that too if he admitted to himself that he wanted to be your boyfriend. Was it really that easy? Was he really overthinking things for once?
LOKI + OLD ENEMIES
You and Loki go way back as enemies, even the most petty things you had to argue about and see who will come out on top. That attitude eventually transferred over to the bedroom but you never stopped being enemies. You're always at each other's throats when you see each other and then pretend like you don't think about each other when you're not fighting. There's never a confession that happens between you two because there's nothing to confess, you already know that you love to hate each other.
TONY STARK + SLEEPS WITH EVERYONE BUT YOU
Being the playboy that caught feelings for you of course Tony isn't gonna make it worse by sleeping with you. He wants to so bad but once he does there would be no running from his feelings anymore. So he sleeps with other people, however he doesn't brag about it like usual, not to you anyway, but you know. Eventually it stops working, he can't stay away from you anymore. But he doesn't want to sleep with you and then confess, he has to take you out on a date, kiss you, confess and then if you still want him, sleep with you.
KATE BISHOP + FRIENDS TO LOVERS
No amount of superhero work can rip Kate away from her best friend. You bet she tells you who she is from the simple fact that she knows you'll keep it a secret and because you're used to people being after her because of her money. Sleepovers are a regular thing with the two of you, as are cuddles, kisses though... those are a bit new. She panicked when she kissed you, said it was an accident. How could it be though when you wanted it to happen too? And what if you'd like for it to happen again?
PETER PARKER + OBLIVIOUS TO LOVE
As much as he is a genius, Peter can be a little oblivious to romance. Okay, very oblivious. He's an awkward guy and he rarely makes the first move. But if you can show him that you're really into him... no he won't get it. You need to be the one to ask him out on a date. Then he will put his best foot forward and make sure you are swept off your feet. He might have been oblivious at first but not anymore, he's starting to pick up on your little cute flirting, and more importantly he's starting to flirt back.

Valentine's day getaway
Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Warnings: fluff
Words: 1.6K
Summary: A little roadtrip on Valentine's with your girlfriend.
A/N: a little one shot for valentine's day because I want Nat to be my Valentine 😭
The sun rays shone directly through the window of the car where you sat. You didn't mind feeling the warmth of the first few sun rays on your skin, you actually liked it. What you didn't like was the long sitting, you itched to stretch your legs and get that pain away that your butt got from sitting for nearly three hours. Those two little breaks you already had did not help a bit. You groaned in discomfort. "Tell me, why are we even driving again? We could have borrowed a quinjet." Natasha, your girlfriend quickly looked over to you with a grin before focusing on the street again. "Because I like driving and I love spending time with you."
"I always love doing something with you Nat, but driving 3 1/2 hours just to a cabin up in Northville is not something I imagined when you say you want to spend time with me."
"Yeah well.. I wanted some alone time with you, away from everyone and it's a cabin nobody knows about." She told you softly. You nodded and then added your thoughts to it. "Nobody but your sister, you mean."
"Only because she helped me with the final decision." Your girlfriend revealed as it made you even more excited to arrive there. "That's nice of her." Natasha snorted, knowing Yelena only did something nice if it benefitted her. "It's obvious she only did that for her own gains. It'd be another safe house."
"That or so that she could annoy her big sister." You teased but it kind of backfired when you heard more of an angry grumble. "Probably both." You instantly shifted the conversation back to the cabin alone. "I want a whole tour when we arrive." Natasha didn't say anything else, she only gave you a smirk that made you sigh in relief, she wasn't angry or mad.
The rest of the drive was silent except for the punk-rock radio station that was playing in the background. You became giddy as your girlfriend pulled into the tiny driveway. The cabin looked small but also cozy from the outside. Natasha quickly hauled your duffel bags out the trunk and joined you at the front door. She unlocked it with the keys she had and let you in first. You were too amazed with how pretty it looked that Natasha had hushed past you to even close the door. Only after you heard her cursing further in the cabin, you put your admiration aside and rushed after her. Then there you saw the blond widow, Yelena Belova as she had made herself comfortable on the sofa.
"I made plans Yelena." Natasha didn't shout or yell at her sister but her frustration was still very clear in her voice. The blonde girl ignored it and smiled at you two. "Great! Now you can include me in those plans." You didn't know if the little widow had the same idea as you, a weekend away from the Avengers or if she knew about the older woman's plans and simply were here to annoy her.
"No." She said it sternly and glared hard at her sister, hoping that the little widow would get a hint. But she did not or she ignores it and continued to fuck around with the older widow. "Why not?" You waved to her as a little hello, she greeted you back with a grin and a nod. "Because that would be fucking disgusting!" Yelena furrowed her eyebrows. "So you're calling me disgusting now?" You were holding yourself back from laughing. The sibling interaction was too funny for you.
"Let me spell it out for you since you can't seem to get it." Natasha grunted. "I have planned romantic and sexualthings."
"Eww why'd tell me about that?! I didn't need to know it." Yelena made a gagging noise while she shows the disgust with a clear expression on her face.
"As if you would have stopped at the romantic part!" The redhead basically growled out in anger. The younger sister seemed to take it as a direct attack. "I would have!" She countered back with the same amount of passion in her voice as Natasha. "No you wouldn't and I know that for sure because you came along on so many of our date nights." You put a hand on Natasha's arm to calm her, you knew how deeply it affected her whenever her sister came to your dates. All Natasha wanted was to be the hopeless romantic she knew she could be but without getting teased for it and with Yelena in tow it was simply not possible.
Before it got out of hand you decided to speak up. "Yel, it's Valentine's day.. and we really need some time just for the two of us." The younger sibling looked at Natasha intensly. "My god." She groaned and sighed in annoyance. "If you're really that desperate then okay I'll be gone in an hour."
"You better be." Nat's voice was so cold that if you wouldn't drag her away something awful would happen. You took her hand in yours and dragged her outside. Once you were near the water, you sat down on a stump. It seemed like the tree that was once there got chopped off a while ago. "Don't let her get to you. She'll be gone within the hour and we'll be all alone and have a lot of me & you time." A small smile tugged at her lips when you pulled her towards you, hinting that you want her to sit on you. She willingly placed herself on your lap, exhaled loudly as she leaned against your front with her back, your arms wrapped around her waist.
This was heaven for her, being held by you  and hearing you hum soft melodies. "You know, if I knew you'd drag me out of bed early in the morning on Valentine's day then I'd have gone to a flower shop the day before to get you the most beautiful bouquet." She turned her head towards you. "I told you before that I don't need a physical gift for today. Being with you is all I want." She laid her warm hands on your arm, squeezed it gently before simply just holding onto it.
"Do you even realize how much my heart always melts whenever you say stuff like that and with that look in your eyes?"
"Well now that I know I won't ever stop doing it." She teased you.
"That is cruel my love." You joked back.
"Being loved by me is cruel now? Weren't you the one who told me not to stay around toxic people?" Tilting her head to the side she gave you a pointed look.
"You have way more green flags than red flags so I guess I'm good." You smiled happily at her. "And don't you even start with you being an ex-assassin is the biggest red flag of all time because you my dear black widow redeemed yourself a thousand of times."
"I don't know what to say."
"Say you love me."
"I love you."
"And I.. love you more." You hugged her tighter. "You know.. I've been here for a hot minute and I can already see how we grow old and settle down in this humble abode."
"Hmm, that sounds amazing. Are we married in your vision?" She bit her lip. You shook your head. "No. I don't have anything against marrying you though." Nat raised an eyebrow. "So you'd want to be married to me?" She asked warily.
"Oh c'mon Nat, you're an amazing woman. You have skillsets like no other, you're  very intelligent and funny, you're humble and a big soft heart and let's not forget you're beautiful like a goddess. Anyone would be lucky to have you as a wife."
She turned away from you as she started to blush deeply. "Stop it or I slap you." She threatened as you nuzzled your nose back into her neck and though you couldn't see the redness in her face, you could feel the warmth radiating from her.
"I don't mind being slapped by you. Maybe you'd even do that thigh move of yours to stop be completely huh?"
"I want you to be alive."
"I trust you to not crush me. Though I wouldn't min-" She cut you off. "Get those sick thoughts out of your head Y/N. I liked you better with a rather innocent mind."
"You definitely won't get that wife title if you stop me from trying to communicate my needs with you." You loosened your grip on her to poke a finger into her side. She turned her head towards you and mumble an 'I hate you' before she leaned in to kiss you. "If I hate you is the new I love you then okay I hate you too babe." You both continued sitting there in comfortable silence.
A gust of wind blew from time to time, tossing Nat's kinda shortish hair right in your face but you didn't mind that, the birds chirped and the ducks that were on the lake quacked. The soft rustling of trees intruded your ears as if it was a soundtrack playing in the background of a movie. And then there was suddenly the noise of a bike starting and driving off. You guessed that it was Yelena leaving. But before you two got up you to go back inside, you watched some cute little ducks walking on the shore a few feet from you.
The rest of the day contained a lot of giggling, chasing each other around the house and making out. Towards the evening you had a very romantic candle light dinner that you both helped to get it done. To top it all off you two had a very intimate night with the promise of repeating everything at one point in the future.

You Mean Everything To Me
warnings; fluff, angst, talk about death, medical stuff, violence, injuries, bad parents
summary: you save Yelena’s life and in return she becomes your everything.
pairings; Yelena Belova x Fem! Reader, Wanda Maximoff x Pietro Maximoff x Half-Sister! Reader, Avengers x Fem! Reader
a/n: i am IN LOVE with this picture 😍
Tumblr media
It wasn’t until later in life that you found out you were only born because of your moms' infidelity. So, when you looked back on your childhood it made sense. You guess that you were just a reminder of her biggest mistake. (It also didn't help that you looked so much like your father) So instead of getting parents, you got to watch your parents love and cherish your half siblings.
And as a you got to the toddler stage, you started to resent your siblings, and that led to fights and tantrums, which, in turn, lead to punishments.
Wanda and Pietro never got punished, even when they started the fights: they stole your toys, pushed you, teamed up on you, and when they broke something, they blamed it on you. Which meant you spent most of your time sitting in the corner facing the wall.
They were the angels of the house who could do no wrong. Because you weren’t even supposed to be born. They made that fact very clear as you got older.
So, the night that your parents died wasn’t the worst day of your life, you never wished death upon them, but you couldn’t be as upset as your siblings.
But when it came to HYDRA, they wanted you to go with them. You’re still not sure why, but they did and sometimes you’re not completely sure you’re happy they did.
So on and so forth Ultron happens and while you were fighting robots Pietro got killed saving clint’s life. And for some reason Wanda blamed you for it.
“Why didn’t you stop him?!”
“I didn’t know he was going to do that! I wasn’t even near him, why didn’t you?!”
You two didn’t talk for a long time after that. Yes, you were saddened by his death; but you couldn’t be as sad as Wanda because you practically had no relationship with him.
But the Avengers still accepted you as a part of the team. Until once again Wanda poisoned your only friends against you just like when you were kids. You don’t know how she does it, but she always managed to make you look like the bad guy.
And once again you were isolated into a corner, all alone with no one to pull you out. The final straw happened on your last mission as an avenger.
Your job on this mission was basically to just keep the enemies busy while Steve tried to save the undercover agent he was sent to help escape. You were doing well, your powers making it easy to do it. Or so you thought.
You were so caught up on what was in front of you that you didn’t notice some of them coming up from behind you. They made you lose focus, and your powers caused the whole building to collapse.
You killed the undercover agent and all the information they had gathered. And almost killed Captain America.
That was when you swore off using your powers, you had almost killed an avenger. You had killed someone. And your powers got too out of control, so you didn’t trust them anymore.
That was the last straw, after that mission no one ever trusted you again and you were banned from missions. But that night you just packed up and left, you were no good to them otherwise; and it’s not like they’d miss you.
And that leads to you now, in a decent apartment in New York City, currently trying to decide what to do for dinner. Pizza or mac and cheese were your options tonight.
You eventually decided on pizza and made your way out of your apartment. Grabbing your coat on your way out as you decide on where you want your pizza from. You decide to head to your normal place and relax for a while. It’s been a while since you’ve had a relaxing night.
Not too long after you left the avengers you went into nursing school, helping people had always been a passion. Which was why you were so happy to be a part of the avengers. You’ve been a nurse for about a year now and you’ve loved it. You’d given up on friends a long time ago; who would want to be friends with you anyway?
Sure, it got lonely, but you just got to live your life without restrictions.
You were walking home when you heard someone breathing heavily in an alley way. Your nursing instincts pushed you to investigate, so you slowly walked into the alley, but not before grabbing your taser.
You don’t walk too far in before you see a blonde in tactical gear sitting against the wall struggling to breathe. It doesn’t take too long for you to put the pieces together.
She’s Natasha’s sister.
Before Natasha turned on you, she had told you about her sister. The one she had left behind in the Red Room. Which made you nervous about her intentions when it came to her seeing you. But then you remembered that the Red Room had been taken down but the two widows. (You saw it on the news.)
So, you can only assume she was with the avengers now and this had happened due to a mission. You see that she’s not conscious. you worry about her not making it, so you get her to your apartment.
You lay her down on the guest bed and run to your bathroom to grab your things to help her. You felt weird unzipping her suit but when you did you continued without remorse because she had been stabbed more than once and she was probably close to bleeding out.
It took at about 2 hours to stitch her up completely, she had some cuts on her legs and arms too. Along with some bruises, she won’t feel good tomorrow. You help her into some of your clothes and shut the door behind you.
The next morning you wake up early and see she’s still asleep. Which makes you feel better because she could try to kill you in your sleep if she woke up first.
You’re alerted to her waking up when you hear a groan from the guest bedroom. you slowly make your way to the room, knocking on the door.
“Hello?” her accented hoarse voice calls.
You slowly open the doors with your hands up, not knowing how she’ll react.
“Who are you?” her accent heavy in her words.
“My names y/n,” you tell her.
“What am I doing here?”
“I found you in an alley almost dead so I brought you here- to my apartment to help you.”
Her demeanor shifts a little bit before she tries to get up, “you really shouldn’t-”
“Don’t,” she cuts you off. “I don’t know who you are, but I need to leave.” She tries to get up but as soon as she sits up the sharp throb of the wounds shoots through her, and she falls back onto the bed. “What did you do to me?”
“You mean what did I do for you? I saved you from bleeding out in that alley Yelena.”
Her defenses shoot back up, stronger than before, “how do you know my name?” The coldness in her voice almost makes you shiver.
“I used to be friends with your sister, Natasha,” you tell her.
“What? how?” her confusion evident in her features.
“I used to work with the Avenger, I don’t know if they told you about me.”
She shakes her head.
“I’m y/n Maximoff, Wanda’s sister.”
“I thought she only had a brother,” Yelena says.
You scoff, “of course she just completely erased me when I left- anyway you should probably stay here for a little while so you can recover. I don’t want to be the reason that the famous black widow’s sister dies.”
“Why did you work with the Avengers? Did you have powers like Wanda?”
The mention of your powers makes you freeze, “you should eat something. mac and cheese, okay?”
She just stares at you, so you leave the room to make the food.
Yelena got a weird feeling when you checked her wounds, it took a lot of convincing, but she eventually let you.
You used nothing but care when you touched her, touches so soft she almost thought she was imagining them.
“You never answered my question,” Yelena whispers.
“Hm?”
“Do you have powers like your sister?” she asks.
“Yeah... yeah I do,” you hesitate.
“Why aren’t you an avenger anymore?” she asks again.
You sigh as you put on new gauze on her wound, “it’s a long story Yelena.”
“I have time,” she motions to her current state.
you sighed again and sat down at the edge of the bed, Yelena looking at you expectantly.
“I was never close to my family; my parents practically abandoned me as soon as I was born except i kept living with them. i honestly don’t know which is worse,” you start.
“To keep it simple I raised myself as I watched my parents raise my siblings. And when they died, we went to HYDRA for their experiments. And then after that we joined the Avengers Pietro died, our brother, and I made a mistake on a mission that got someone killed.”
Yelena’s brows raise, “was it an accident?”
“Yeah, but I killed someone, someone important and I was banned from missions after that, no one trusted me anyway, I wasn’t close to anyone thanks to Wanda, so I left.”
“What do you do now?”
“I’m a nurse, helping people just like I’ve always wanted,” you smile.
Yelena’s lips curve into a small smile, “Did you know who I was when you saw me in the alley?” you nod. “So, you know what I’ve done?”
“You mean what you were forced to do? Yes. But I don’t judge you for that,” you tell her.
“so, you aren’t scared of me?”
“Even if I was I would be able to protect myself, powers or not,” you tease.
“Mhm, I doubt that” she smirks.
“Maybe when you’re better we can test that theory,” you offer.
“I’ll keep that in mind.”
The month Yelena spent with you was honestly one of the best months of her life. It was filled with friendly banter, teasing, and her making a new friend. Natasha hadn't tried to contact her because Yelena told her she was at a safe house for now. Natasha was reluctant to leave her be and demanded her location but Yelena being the stubborn woman she is refused to tell her. Only telling her that she'll be back soon.
She found comfort in the way you were able to calm her down if her mind kept her up. She was hesitant at first but the genuine worry in your eyes helped ease her worries.
those nights where she had trouble sleeping; you treated her with the upmost care. You offered to watch tv to help keep her mind off of her nightmares. she would inevitably get tired and fall asleep, and she would let her head fall onto your shoulder.
You honestly didn’t mind, you were just glad she felt comfortable enough with you to fall asleep, let alone on you. You just wrap your arm around her and her head leans onto your chest.
The next morning Yelena woke up on top of you on the couch, she immediately got up and went into the guest bedroom. The sudden movement had woken you up, “Yelena?”
You see her as she shuts the door. You didn’t see her for the rest of the day.
Later you learned that that was the first time she had ‘cuddled’ with someone and she genuinely didn’t know what to think of it. When it came to touch, all she thought was of how she had hurt people and how people had hurt her. So, when she woke up that close to you it had caught her off guard.
That’s you tried to help ease her more slowly into touch. You would sit closer to her on the couch and lean into her when something was funny, your hands would touch when you handed her something. Like your clothes since she had arrived here in her tactical suit.
Wearing your clothes also made it easy to be close to you, smelling your scent in the clothes she wore, on the bed she slept on.
She learned more about you in a month than any of the avengers had in the years you had as an Avenger, more than your own sister. you learned more about her too, her time at the red room, reuniting with Natasha, and even her time in Ohio.
As she got more comfortable with touch, she began to initiate it too, sometimes holding your hand when watching movies, or hugging you in thanks after you help her through some particularly hard nights.
You never expected a thank you, it was something that came easy to you: helping her.
And as she spent more time with you, she started to wonder why you never used your powers if you had them.
“Why don’t you use your powers?” Yelena asks as the two of you eat dinner together.
“Because i don’t trust them anymore.”
“Why?”
“Do you not remember when i told you that i killed someone?”
“It was an accident.”
“Someone’s still dead.”
She never asked about them again after that.
When Yelena was healed enough to leave you were honestly sad. You weren’t sure if she would come back. you were worried that if she asked them about you, they would poison her against you.
“Be careful okay,” you tell her as you part from your goodbye hug.
“I’ll do my best,” she teases. “I’m sort of an avenger so that’s not exactly unavoidable.”
“Oh, I know, just don’t die.”
She nods and looks in your eyes, “I don’t want this to be the last time I see you.”
You sigh in relief, “good, because I don’t want this to be the last time either. I happen to enjoy your company, Belova.
“I also happen to enjoy your company Maximoff,” she smiles.
And that’s when the arrangement started.
After missions, you were the person she went to, not Cho, her sister, or even an Avenger. you.
The way you would take care of her made her heart skip beats. the care you had for her obvious when you would worry over her when she showed up hurt.
And when you weren’t at your apartment, she went to the hospital you worked at praying you weren’t busy. Of course, you were but you were always able to aid her.
“What happened to being careful Lena?”
“Getting hurt isn’t something that is easily avoidable, y/n/n.”
“I know, but it feels like I’m always fixing you up after every mission you have. you know you can come see me when you're not injured, right?” you tease.
she smirks, “I know I just barely have time to.”
“Where do they think you’re going?”
“I honestly don’t know, I just sort of leave and when they ask I do this,” and she shows her glare.
“Okay easy there, I don’t want to have a heart attack before I finish your stitches,” you joke.
She smiles and shakes her head.
This arrangement goes on for about 3 months before Yelena starts to realize her feelings towards you, they felt more than friends, but she didn’t know what that meant. And her only solution was her sister.
“I don’t know what to do about it, I can’t talk to her about it because she’s the one I have feelings for, and I can’t function around her. she thinks there’s something wrong with me when I can’t form a sentence when she looks at me or when she touches me, I don’t know what to do!” Yelena rants as she falls onto Natasha’s bed.
“Sounds like love.”
Yelena’s head snaps up, “what?”
“You love her.”
After that she starts analyzing her interactions with you, thinking about how she would feel doing this like cuddling, kissing, cooking together. She often smiles when she thinks about it.
And she’s not the only one struggling with feelings. You’ve had trouble with them since about a month into you being her personal doctor. You’ve seen the way she looks at you when you’re patching her up, it’s not that hard to notice considering she’s never had to hide this sort of feeling before.
The feelings came into light on accident, she had finally had time to just come see you without getting hurt. You guys decided to sit on the roof of your building and have dinner since the landlord had been able to decorate the roof with lights and furniture.
You sat next to each other on the couch and ate your dinner in a comfortable silence, you both had had long days and just simply being in each other’s company was enough.
And as the night went on, Yelena's mind drifted to what her sister said,
"You love her."
And after a you noticed she wasn't listening to you, you wave your hand in her face, "you okay there?"
She nods but that doesn't really convince you, "what's going on?"
She sighs and puts her bowl down and moves so her body is facing you. You mirror her actions and wait for her to talk.
"Do you ever get the feeling that this could mean more than we think it does?" She asks.
Her question throws you off guard, having not expecting this from her, "I mean, yeah, but I never thought that you would."
She furrows her brows in question, so you clarify, "Being more than friends with someone didn't really seem like something you wanted. You never really talked about anyone like that before."
"Because I've never felt like this before, and plus I wasn't going to talk about my feelings to the girl I like. Especially when I didn't fully understand them."
Oh. Well, that makes sense. Wait- "You like me like that?"
"Yes, isn't that what this whole conversation is about?" She giggles at you.
"Well, yeah, but I guess, I don't-" Yelena can't listen to you ramble any longer so she grabs your face and pulls you in for a kiss.
It's unlike anything you've ever experienced before, the feeling of her soft lips perfectly fitting with yours giving you a feeling of euphoria. Yelena no different, this being the first kiss she's shared with someone she truly cares about.
You both pull away and rest your foreheads on the others', looking into each other's eyes. "We should do that more often," you breathe.
"Definitely."
The rest of the night was filled with longing looks, soft touches, kisses, and long talks about the possibilities for the future.
-------------------------------------------------------------
It's about a year after you guys confessed your feelings for one another and it's been great, you’ve been able to see her a little more often since she hasn't been assigned to as many mission recently.
Your relationship. has gotten to a point too where Yelena wants to tell her sister about you. The woman who both saved and changed her life. But that didn't really go over well.
"Why can't you meet her?" Yelena asks.
"I already have remember? It didn't exactly go to plan," you remind her.
"I know but maybe it's okay now, it's been a few years," the ever-stubborn woman that you call your girlfriend points out.
"Please? You've become one of most important people in my life and I want to share that with other people. Show them how much we love each other." She walks over to you and wraps her arms around your neck.
"The last time I saw all of them wasn't pretty Lena, I don't want your relationship with your sister to be impacted by this," you plead with her. "Maybe someday, but I'm also not ready to see all of them again, especially my sister."
This conversation didn't lead to the result Yelena was hoping for, so she dropped it.
It's only a few weeks later when Yelena is sent on a mission that's supposed to last for a little while. As she's getting ready to leave you make sure to give her a good luck kiss. "Be careful, okay?"
"I always am," she gives you another kiss. "I'll see you soon dekta." And she grabs her bags and she's out the door.
It's only two weeks later when you see a distress call from Yelena, saying she's hurt. You immediately use your powers to teleport to where she is so you can help her.
You run around to try and find her, and when you do you see her laying on the ground similar to the way you had found her the first time.
You run over to her and try to figure out what happened. You see she’s awake and hold her face so she looks at you.
“Lena, baby?”
“y/n?” she groans.
“What happened honey?”
“Explosives,” her eyebrows furrow when she looks behind you and that’s when you hear a gun click.
“Get away from her,” the authoritative voice of Natasha Romanoff orders.
“Nat,” Yelena tries to tell her who you are but she’s too weak to do so.
“Get. The hell. Away from her. I won’t ask again.” she demands as she walks closer.
“She needs medical attention-”
“I know she does, now walk away so she can get it.”
Yelena looks you in the eye and slowly nods for you to walk away. “She isn‘t going to listen to you,” she whispers.
You reluctantly set her head gently against the wall and get up and turn around with your hands up per Natasha’s request.
When you turn around and she sees your face you watch as she recognizes you. “What the hell are you doing here?
“She needed help, so I came.”
She shakes her and puts her gun down to run to Yelena, she picks her up and takes her to the quinjet. Taking off without you. Yelena looks around for you but she can’t find you.
“Where is she?” she asks.
“Who Yelena?”
“y/n,” she whispers before she falls unconscious.
The next time she awakes she’s in the medbay with Natasha sitting next to her.
“Are you okay?” she asks her younger sister.
“Fine,” she says even though her head feels like it’s going to explode and her entire body is sore.
“How do you know y/n?”
Yelena looks at her but doesn’t answer. “Where’s my phone?”
“Why?”
“I need to call someone.”
There was really nothing you could do as you waited for hours for Yelena to maybe call you to tell you she’s okay. It’s the next day when you finally here from her. And she’s asking you to come to the compound so she can see you.
You agree. You’re there within a couple minutes but you’ve run into an issue. How do you get past the entrance. You try and teleport to where you think the medbay to be and hope.
You look up and see the room Yelena’s in. You quickly walk to her hoping not to run into anyone. You walk on the room and see Natasha and Yelena talking.
They both look up and Yelena smiles. “So, you’re the person who’s saved my sister life,” Natasha says.
You nod, looking at Yelena who motions with her hand for you to come closer. You walk over and she immediately grabs your hand with hers and you rub your thumb over her hand.
“You okay?”
“Sore, but yeah I’m fine.”
The moment is ruined as the rest of the Avengers walk into the room and see you. You tease and move to let go of Yelena’s hand but she holds yours tighter.
Tony is the first to acknowledge who you are and he doesn’t really react except for a nod. The rest of them do the same except for Wanda. She glares at you and looks down and sees you holding Yelena’s hand.
“You two know each other?” she practically hisses at you.
You nod.
“How?” Wanda asks.
You don’t really know what to say so Yelena tells her. She tells all of them how you guys met, you saved her life, became her person, patched her up after missions, and are now her girlfriend.
“So that’s where you go,” Sam realizes. He wasn’t an Avenger that same time you were so he doesn’t know about the grudge the others held against you.
“Why did you go to her instead of Cho or at least one of us?” Natasha asks.
“I felt safe with her,” Yelena admits. Her response making you smile even though you’re still have a staring contest with your sister.
“Wanda, it’s okay,” Natasha tries to tell her.
“No, there is no world where this is okay,” she growls at you and walks closer to you. “You have done nothing but make everyone’s life harder so do us all a favor and get the hell out of here,” she demands as her eyes start turning red.
“No.”
“No?”
“No! I’m tired of you bossing me around. First, you’re younger than me, second, I haven’t done a single thing wrong towards you m my whole life. Third, yes, I was born being our mother cheated on your father, but I have done nothing wrong except for being born. The only reason you hate me is because your parents did and their resentment towards me reflected onto you so you hate me too. I’m not going to be your punching bag anymore. I’m done!” You yell and watch as her expression falls and she leaves the room.
All that’s left is awkward silence left after your outburst but you haven’t felt this kind of relief in so long. You’ve had this pressure on your shoulders tour whole life and now it’s gone. You’ve stood up to someone, not who you really wanted to but this is as close as you’ll get, and let them know that how you were being treated wasn’t okay.
You look down and Yelena and see her proud smile as she squeezes your hand, happy that you stood up to your sister. The rest of the Avengers eventually leave and you sit in a chair next to Yelena’s bed.
You just take a moment to look at her, the strong, beautiful woman you’ve been able to call your girlfriend. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Your cheeks warm from getting caught and say, “I just love you.”
Her smile widens, “I love you too dekta.”
You stand up and cup her face, her hands lightly grasping your wrists as you lean in and kiss her lips. It having been weeks since the last time you were able to kiss the green eyed beauty.
You kiss a couple more times before you lean your forehead against hers.
“You mean everything to me,” and she smiles brightly with rosy cheeks and pulls you in for another kiss. Letting you feel nothing but the love she has for you, and you revel in the fact that you finally have someone who truly loves you.

18+ MINORS DNI
It is just your normal day in the small town of Westview. Everyone was putting up their decorations. Everything was as normal as could be, just like every year. The kids were playing in the snow building snowmen with their parents or older siblings.
Y/N was walking through the streets with their younger brother Peter. They were meeting their friends at the local cafe for some hot cocoa or coffee. Whichever they preferred. But truthfully they just wanted an excuse to leave their parents and their seasonal madness.
When they approached the coffee shop, Y/N was instantly engulfed in a hug by none other than Wanda Maximoff. Y/N has had a crush on her since grade school.
"I thought you weren't going to come." She said as the rest of their friends smirked at their interaction. Everyone else knew about their obvious crushes on each other but them. Wanda and Y/N were completely oblivious.
"Of course I would come. It's just this one here was too worried about his appearance before seeing MJ." Y/N said as they all started to tease the young Parker boy.
"Well I am sure you don't have to worry about . I am sure that she likes you too." Yelena smirked at her friend as they all entered the shop. They all got their orders and joined a couple of tables so they could all sit together.
"So, I hear that the Harknesses are hosting an ice skating event on christmas eve." Pietro said with a knowing smirk aimed at Wanda and Y/N who were sat together.
"Yeah, that will be fun." Wanda cheered as a few of them agreed as Y/N just shook their head no.
"I can't rollerskate so I know I will be on my ass more times than I can count." Y/N said as everyone but Wanda laughed
"I'll hold onto you." She smiled sweetly at Y/N who went red. Lucky they could say it's due to the snow outside.
"It's ok Wan, you don't have to." They said shyly as Wanda held their hand and intertwined their fingers.
"I want to." She told them firmly. They all decided that after the coffee shop they would all climb up the hill that overlooked the small town with their sleds.
"Ok so two to a sled." Nat spoke up as Wanda instantly latched onto Y/N. Y/N sat down as Wanda sat in between their legs ready for Y/N to push them off to start. When they were gone it just left Nat, Yelena, Pietro and Peter.
"Do you think they will ever tell each other?" Nat sighed as she rubbed her eyebrow.
"I don't think so." Peter replied.
"It's really giving me a headache." Pietro said as they all agreed before heading down the slope. Everyone laughed as Peter and Pietro went straight into the Lassiter's snowman covered in snow.
"Are you sure that neither of you need glasses?" Yelena teased them.
"Everything is covered in snow. It is all the same colour." Peter whined as everyone laughed as they headed back up the slope. They decided to have races down to see who was faster.
"You do realise that the results all depend on the weight distribution and gravity." Y/N stated as everyone groaned.
"The nerd is here." Pietro teased as Y/N decided to pick up some snow and threw it in his face. Everyone erupted in laughter before they started to have a snowball fight. The sleds were completely forgotten about. The laughter and screams of joy were all that could be heard throughout the town.
When the sun started to set, everyone went their own ways home. Their parents or guardians had cooked them a warm meal to warm them up from being in the cold.
But what they all didn't realize was that this was the year that when darkness engulfs the town, evil roams the town.
Through the night walked an evil being with horns and long fingers. No one had ever seen its face. The eyes were glowing red in the darkness. Everything was still as the residents slept peacefully.
It approached the first house on the edge of town. The Lassiters. It flew gracefully to the roof considering it had been dormant for a quarter of a century. It approached the chimney and entered the house. It crept through the house to the children's bedroom. It looked between the two sleeping boys before it smelled the aroma coming from each. It then approached the one who had the most prominent aroma telling it that he was older. It snatched him from his bed and carried him to the window. His brother Timmy opened his eyes just to see his older brother being carried off into the night.
Timmy screamed, alerting his parents. They both ran to their room.
"It took him." He whimpered as he pointed to the open window. His mother went straight to Timmy to hold him as his father ran outside to see if he could find his first born. He alerted the town sheriff about his son's disappearance. The sheriff assured him that he will do everything he can to find the missing boy.
The next day, the Lassiters were in shambles. Timmy was frightened as he described the creature that took him.
"I'm sure that in a few days you will remember it properly." Officer Langden spoke as he tried to keep his smile off his face.
"No. It's what I saw last night." Timmy said frantically. "Why won't you believe me?" He asked them all.
"These creatures don't exist, Timmy." His mother tried to soothe him as he shook his head.
"Well it took him mama. It took him." He cried. Begging for them to believe him.
"We will be back when he is less frantic Ma'am." Officer Langden spoke as Mrs Lassiter thanked him and walked him out. Timmy remained sat on the sofa, snuggled in his brother's blanket crying.
Y/N and Peter woke up to the smell of pancakes. They both loved Aunt May's pancakes. They both raced down the stairs to the kitchen just in time for her to plate them up.
"Thank you." They both said as they kissed her cheek taking a plate each.
"I have work today guys so I am going to need you to help around here." She told them both. "Y/N, you still need to finish the garage and Pete please make sure to help them."
"Yes Ma'am." They both saluted her, making her shake her head at their goofiness. She was being called in because of an emergency meeting and the extra workload they would get since Mrs Lassiter wouldn't be in work until her son is found.
The police went around his friends to see if he snuck out but he was stuck in a leather bag, big enough to hold an adult male. It was old and bloody from the previous victims. Henry Lassiter was trying to get free but he was stuck on a butcher's hook. It was cold and damp where it held its victims. To keep them fresh before it feasts on their organs. It would start with the heart. It thought that the heart tasted it's best when it was still beating.
Y/N was startled when the gang and Peter walked in as they were moving the tools around after building the new shelves.
"Did you hear about Henry?" Nat asked as they all sat and watched as Y/N did their task.
"What happened?" They asked as they found their Uncle Ben's old tool box.
"His brother Timmy is saying some creature took him but I think he snuck out to the city to see that girl of his." Pietro said as he looked around the garage.
"A creature? That's absurd." Peter laughed with Pietro.
"That's what I said." Pietro said as they both laughed earning a glare from Wanda.
"This is a serious matter whether you think he's run away to the city or not." Y/N scolded them both. "So don't make jokes about it." They went back to their task as the two remained quiet.
"What is going on between you and Vision, Wanda?" Nat asked the brunette as Y/N tried to block out the conversation.
"Nothing is going on between us. He likes me but I just don't feel the same." She told them as Y/N let out a breath that they didn't realise they were holding in.
"So do you have your eye on anyone?" Nat asked her with a knowing smirk. Everyone wanted either Y/N or Wanda to slip up but neither would.
"No?" She answered well, more like a question.
"I'm sure that whoever you do like Wan will be honored." Y/N told her as they brushed off their hands as Wanda blushed lightly which never went unnoticed by Nat. Peter and Pietro decided to head inside to have a go on the xbox while the girls stayed with Y/N in the garage.
As the day turned into night, everyone retreated to their homes while the creature lurked in the shadows awaiting it's time to strike at it's next victim in the middle of the cold night before leaving them in the bloodied leather bag hanging like a butcher hangs their dead animals ready to carve limb by limb after skinning them.
Another day and another firstborn child gone. The residents of Westview weren't worried just yet. They were thinking that it's another teen who ran away to the city. But the residents don't remember it happening 25 years earlier.
Everyone was starting to get their christmas gifts as The Lassiters and The Moores were mourning their children. The police still thought that the creature was still a joke even though the Moore's youngest described the same.
"Do you think it's true about the creature?" Wanda asked as everyone walked towards the coffee shop.
"No." Nat laughed as they entered. "Of course not."
"But the first born are the ones that are missing." She reasoned with the three oldest.
"Wan, there are just two teens missing. They have probably run away." Pietro said as they waited for their orders.
"Piet. I'm worried about you, that's all." Wanda huffed as she walked away to the table with Peter and Yelena.
"But should we be worried?" Pietro asked the two.
"I uh I don't know Piet." Y/N said as they were unsure about this situation. "Maybe they just went to the city to see the lights. You know how boring small town celebrations can be."
"Well tell your girlfriend that before she opens her own case file." Pietro said as Nat smirked.
"One. She isn't my girlfriend. Two. She is just worried about her brother, that's all." Y/N told him as he huffed picking up his and Peter's drinks leaving Y/N and Nat alone.
"You do realise that the Lassiters and Moores are neighbours." Nat whispered to Y/N.
"I know." They replied. "Pietro is only two blocks away from them."
"And if it is true about this creature, he has at most a week." Nat stated. Y/N was starting to worry about their friends. They knew that something wasn't right with this town.
"Uhm, I have to go." Y/N said as the five pairs of eyes landed on their standing figure.
"Why?" Wanda asked with furrowed brows.
"I promised Aunt May that I would have the garage finished before she finished work today." They said as they held their cup in their hand and finished.
"But we were all going to hang out today." Pietro whined as Y/N smirked.
"I know but I promised her." They told him. "And I don't break my promises." They said as they left the coffee shop and walked home.
"What was that about?" Yelena asked as they all watched Y/N walk home. They were wondering why they were acting weird.
As Y/N entered the garage, they saw Aunt May admiring their hard work. There was space for her car and all of Ben's things were neatly organised on a new set of shelves that Y/N had built.
"It looks good here, Y/N. Thank you." She beamed at them as she hugged them
"It's no problem." They smiled. "You've been given more work haven't you?" They asked her.
"I have. The Moore's have been frantic trying to find David and Debbie's workload has been passed onto the rest of us." She spoke tiredly.
"You should rest Aunt May." They told her as she shook her head no.
"I have to go back to work and I need to check on you and Peter." She said.
"Peter's at the coffee shop with everyone." Y/N told her as Aunt May let out a breath.
"You know I love you Y/N. More than anything." She said as she pulled them in for a hug. "You will find answers in Uncle Ben's boxes." She whispered before she left leaving Y/N confused and intrigued. They wanted to find answers and they looked at Uncle Ben's things on the shelf.
But they didn't realise that Wanda was coming with Pete and Pietro. So as they sat on the floor of the garage with their Uncle Ben's boxes.
"What are you doing Y/N?" They heard Wanda ask from the doorway making them jump slightly.
"Just some research." They mumbled as they looked through old papers. Wanda joined them and looked at the papers over their shoulder.
"What are you hoping to find?" She asked them.
"Answers." They said as they put the useless papers in a pile.
"For?" Wanda asked as she watched them concentrate.
"The disappearances. May said to look in his old boxes for answers." They told her.
"So you think that there is something." Wanda asked them as they sighed, putting the papers back in the box.
"Yes. I do." They said as they grabbed another box. They didn't want to tell Wanda that they were worried for her twin. They didn't want to worry her more.
They kept on doing their research until after the twins had left and they kept coming up with nothing but a name.
Bobby Sinclair.
So Y/N decided to do some research and found that he lived just outside of town. It was already dark out and they couldn't wait for answers. They got their jacket and hat and made their way across town. The only lights illuminating the streets were the colourful Christmas lights that everyone had hung. People were out caroling like two kids hadn't gone missing. Kids having snowball fights or making snowmen. Everything seemed as normal as can be but everything was far from normal. These disappearances were far from normal.
Y/N had approached an old run down house. There were dim lights shining through the curtains telling them that he was home. They remembered Bobby being labeled as the town crazy but they had no reason why.
They nervously approached the door and knocked three times. It was probably a stupid idea but they had to try. They needed to make sure that their friends would be safe.
"What do you want?" He huffed as he answered the door with a loaded shotgun pointed at Y/N.
"Hi. Uh I'm Y/N Parker. I have been going through my Uncle Ben's things and I saw your name come up quite a few times." They introduced themselves as calm as they could considering there was a 12 gauge aimed at their chest.
"I remember Ben, he was a great man." Bobby spoke sadly.
"He was." Y/N agreed, thinking back to before he got shot. That was the reason Aunt May packed them up and moved them to this small town where they met their friends.
"Come in." He said as he stepped aside allowing Y/N inside. They were met by the foul body odor and alcohol as they stepped inside. Bobby looked around his property before closing the door behind them. He led them through to his dimly lit living room. They saw articles of disappearances.
"These are dated 25 years ago." Y/N stated as Bobby nodded. "How?"
"The disappearances happened 25 years ago too." He said as he poured himself a glass of whiskey.
Y/N looked over the articles and another name stood out. James Parker. They picked it up and recognised the picture from moments earlier from inside their Uncle Ben's belongings.
"Why is there someone called James Parker here?" They asked him as he sighed.
"He was Ben's older brother. He was Jack's best friend. Jack was my brother." He told the teenager. "After they both were taken, your grandparents took Ben and your father and moved to Queens."
Y/N was shocked by this news so the Parker's lived here before Aunt May had them move here. But Y/N also noticed how he said taken as they saw one article:
25 children disappeared. FBI and Local Authorities set up search parties but came up empty handed.
"So this has happened before." Y/N stated as Bobby nodded. They saw a picture of an old sewer entry. "So they never found any of them?"
"No. They closed the case after the new year knowing that they weren't going to find them. 25 families have gone on not knowing what happened to their children. 25 younger siblings got called delusional with wild imaginations." He said harshly. "Your Uncle and I were one of those children." He moved around and got a file of older paper clippings. "But I have been doing research over the years. It is a cycle. It's a quarterly cycle. It has been going on for generations." He said as he handed Y/N the older clippings. He was finally happy that someone believed him.
"Did you find out anything on where it would store them?" They asked him as he sighed.
"All I know is that it likes cold, damp and dark places. And there aren't many here." He sighed regretfully.
"What about the sewage systems?" They asked him as he shook his head no.
"I went down there myself and I came up with nothing." He sighed as they looked at a map of the Town.
"But don't these old towns have an unused sewer system? One that hasn't been used in centuries?" Y/N asked him as he smiled at them.
"You know your stuff kid." He smirked at them.
"I did my research on the place we were moving to." They shrugged. "But clearly not enough research."
"That's ok kid. Towns like this one have their secrets." He told them before he looked at the time. "You should head home before it gets too dangerous. I will work on getting the old sewer entrance location and we can hopefully work together on getting this thing."
"Yeah." They sighed.
"Are you doing this for anyone? A sibling maybe?" He asked them as they sighed.
"My best friend. Her brother is only a couple blocks away so maybe in the next few days it's going for him and I want to stop it before it happens." They told him
"Do you have an older sibling?" He asked them as they shook their head no.
"I have a younger brother." They told him and his heart broke knowing that if they don't stop it, they will also fall victim to it.
"We will get this creature Y/N." He reassured them as he waved them off. Y/N walked through the dark streets not realising how late it was. When they arrived home, Aunt May was sitting on the sofa, a furious expression on her face.
"Where were you Y/N?" She asked them sternly.
"I was getting answers about what is going on." They told her as she sighed.
"Who did you see?" She asked them.
"Bobby Sinclair." They told her as she sighed.
"Did you find anything out?" She asked them.
"It's a cycle. Every 25 years it comes for the first born. It collects one teen a night for 25 days until the day of the winter solstice.” They told her. She was shocked at their knowledge.
"We have to get you out of here." She said frantically.
"No. We aren't leaving. My friends are here." They told her.
"You do realise that it is coming after you." She told them as they nodded.
"Yeah I do." They shrugged.
"I can't lose you Y/N. You and Peter are my everything." She told them as they gave her a soft smile.
"If I have a chance of stopping this Aunt May, I will do my best to stop it. Before it takes my friends." They told her.
"But what if it takes you in the process?" She asked them as they shook their head.
"Then it takes me." They told her. "If I can protect my friends I would die for them." They said before they headed off to bed.
The creature was slowly approaching the next house for its next victim while Henry and David tried their hardest to get out of the leather bags but they were too strong. They both realised that this is it for them. The creature will come back and take them from this realm placing them in their hell. They were mainly frightened of the how.
Y/N woke earlier the next day to her the news of another disappearance getting closer to the Maximoff residence. They wanted to get to the bottom of this as they made their way across town.
"So do you definitely believe this creature story?" Nat asked them as she approached Y/N.
"Yes." They said as they entered the library. They went to the old news spread section and collected papers from 25 years ago.
"So don't you think it's best that we all leave?" She asked them as they shook their head no.
"You guys all can. In fact, take the twins too." They said as Nat scoffed.
"And what about you?" She asked them.
"I am staying. I am taking this thing down." They told her. Nat noticed their Uncle's name on the current article that they were reading.
"Y/N. This is personal isn't it?" She said calmly as Y/N sighed.
"I need to do this Nat. For my Uncle Ben. He saw it take his older brother when he was a kid." They told her as she sighed.
"Ok. So where do we start?" She asked as she sat beside them. Y/N looked at her confused. "It's going to be coming for Pietro, you and me before christmas and I am sure that I want to be there to eat my christmas dinner." Nat stated making Y/N chuckle.
The pair sat and read old articles all morning, ignoring the vibrations of their phones from missed calls from their friends.
"So there is an entrance." Nat stated as she got up from her seat to show Y/N. "It has a location too."
"Well let's go." Y/N said as Nat shook her head no.
"We don't know what we are going after. It already has three. There is twenty two left. Pietro is in a few days and we need to know how to kill it, whatever it is." She told them.
"Ok, let's go and see Bobby." They told her as she shook her head.
"They're the town drunk Y/N." She told them.
"Nat. They also saw it. They have spent their life trying to find it. He was the one who gave me all of this information. He was Uncle Ben's best friend." They told her as she sighed as they both got up and made their way out of the library. Wanda and Yelena saw them both from the coffee shop as Y/N and Nat walked well, practically ran towards Bobby's place.
"Why are they in such a hurry?" Yelena asked the girl beside her.
"I don't know." She answered her, confused as they watched the pair disappear.
Y/N and Nat raced across town and soon found themselves knocking on his door. He let them both inside the same as he did last night.
"Do you always answer with the 12 gauge in your hands?" They asked him as they followed him into the living room.
"More or less." He shrugged. "So who's your friend?"
"This is Nat." They introduced their friend who just waved shyly. "We have a location for the old sewer entrance." They said as they handed him the paper.
"That's great. We just need to know what we are dealing with." He stated.
"You don't know what it is?" Nat asked him as he shook his head no. "You have been researching this thing your whole life and have no idea what it is?" She scoffed.
"I'm sorry that I had inserted "mourn my brother" into my already busy schedule." He shot at her as she laughed. Y/N couldn't help but smirk at his answer.
"Do you have any idea who might know?" Y/N asked him as he thought for a moment.
"The Harknesses. They have lived in this town longer than most folk here." He informed the pair. "Ask for Agatha." He told them as they thanked him. "Also when you find out what it, come for me and we will take it down together." He told them as they nodded.
"So you believe this?" Nat asked, still skeptical about the whole situation.
"I do, Nat." They told her. "I knew my Uncle Ben lost one brother when my parents died but found out that he lost another. I just don't want this to happen to anyone else."
"Anyone else meaning Wanda." Nat smirked.
"Anyone else meaning Wanda, Yelena and Peter." They told her as she nodded realising it wasn't just Pietro in danger.
"Then why are we going for it? Let's just get out of here." She told them.
"And in 25 years it will be back and maybe it will be our kids in danger if we're still living here." They pointed out as Nat sighed knowing she wasn't going to sway Y/N from their mission that they took on themselves.
They gulped when they approached The House of Harkness. They always thought it had a creepy Addams Family vibe to it.
"This house always gives me the creeps." Nat mumbled as they approached the door. Y/N chuckled as they reached for the huge brass knocker and knocked. They waited for someone to answer but it was a big house.
"Hello children." Agatha spoke as she greeted the pair. "What can I do for you?"
"We've heard that you can maybe help us." Nat spoke nervously.
"Do you know about the creature that takes its first born?" Y/N asked her to get straight to the point.
"You want my mother but she isn't returning to Westview until the weekend." She informed them.
"Is there no way that you can call her? It's urgent." Y/N said.
"I'm sorry. But I can look through her journals and see if I can find what you seek." She told them both softly. "So come back in a couple of days. It will give me time to do the research."
"Thank you Ma'am." Both teens said as they walked down the steps back to the street.
"I just hope we can get it in time." Nat said, worried herself for Pietro. "Do you think we should tell them?" She asked Y/N.
"No. Not yet at least." Y/N sighed as they walked back to their homes bidding farewell. Y/N didn't want to give up so easily just yet because they want to get to the bottom of it before anything happens to their friends.
Over the next few days, Y/N waited impatiently for Agatha to call them. Tonight was the night it was coming for Pietro and they are afraid that they may be too late. They lay in their bed staring at the ceiling unaware of a guest approaching their room.
"Hey Y/N." Wanda greeted her best friend as she lay beside them.
"Hey." They said as their eyes never moved to look at the girl beside them.
"Why haven't you returned any of my calls?" She asked them to get straight to the point.
"I have been busy Wanda." They told her as she scoffed.
"With Natasha." She snarled as Y/N jumped to their phone as a social media notification came through.
"Do you think your parents can take you and Pietro out of town today?" Y/N asked her.
"Why? So you and Nat can have a date without the twins and children in the way?" She scoffed as Y/N laughed. "What?"
"I don't like Nat like that. She's like a sister to me." Y/N told her which made the brunette feel slightly better. "It's just there's this thing going on and I just want you two to be safe."
"So you do believe this creature story." Wanda stated as she sat beside Y/N who nodded in reply. "And you think Piet is next."
"It fits the pattern. I just want you to be safe ok." They told her as she shook her head.
"What about your safety?" She questioned as they chuckled.
"I will be fine." Y/N told her as she shook her head.
"It's taking the first born. In case you have forgotten you are a first born." She told them as they just shrugged. "Y/N this is serious."
"I know it is serious Wanda. It is very serious. It is the 10th December and Pietro is next Wanda. He is next and if he doesn't get out of town he will be taken and probably killed." Y/N told her sternly as they stood up. "Do you want that to happen?"
"No but I don't want to lose you or Nat either." She told them. Y/N just sighed before wrapping their arms around her.
"You won't lose us. We are so close to getting answers and we will take it down." They told her as she just nodded. She hated the idea of leaving them to take care of this.
"I'll see what I can do." Wanda told them. "But I can't promise anything. You know what my mum is like this time of year." They just nodded before they pulled away when their phone started to ring. Wanda watched as Y/N answered it. She soon found out that it was Agatha. She watched as Y/N moved as fast as she had ever seen. They also sent a text to Nat to meet at the House of Harkness.
"I have to go. But please do as I ask." They told her as they kissed her forehead before they left her a blushing mess in their room.
Y/N got there at the same time as Nat. They both sighed as they approached the door but before they could knock, Agatha opened the door for them and let them in.
"Did you find anything?" Y/N asked her as she led them towards the dining room.
"Oh yeah. I found something." She smirked as she showed them a journal. "It is Streega. It's kind of like a witch. Hunts on a cycle." She told them as they looked over her shoulder. "They store the food for days and have a feast on the 26th day."
"So you're saying that the others will still be alive." Nat asked as Agatha gave her a sad smile.
"No. Some would have died from starvation or before that happens, they could start their feast." She said.
"You don't sound so sure?" Y/N stated as Agatha just shook her head.
"No one has gotten close enough to even see what it looks like. All it leaves behind is a ripe smell of death in its wake." She told them both.
"Any idea on how to kill it?" Y/N asked her.
"It's complicated." She told them. "You have to get close enough to stab it in its heart with a blade made of raw iron."
"Where are we going to find raw iron?" Nat asked as Y/N remembered something.
Y/N sat on Uncle Ben's knee as they had found his knife collection. He decided to show them the collection.
"This is a collection made of raw iron. Passed down from generations of Parker's." He told them.
"Really?" They said with a wide smile.
"Really. So when I die these will be yours." He told them as he smiled at the case with a velvet lining.
"I know." Y/N said as they left after thanking Agatha for her help. Nat chased Y/N as they ran through the town. When they reached their house, they ran straight up to their room.
"What are you looking for Y/N?" Nat asked as she rested her hands on her knees as she caught her breath.
"The knife set that Uncle Ben gave me." They spoke from under their bed.
"And how is that supposed to help?" She asked them as Wanda walked up behind Nat.
"The blades are raw iron." Y/N smirked at the red head. "Hey Wan."
"We're not going anywhere." She said sadly as Y/N sighed. There were three knives in the set. One for them, Nat and a spare. They took one out and gave it to Wanda.
"It's raw iron. It can kill it if you can get close enough to stab it in the heart." They told her.
"And you expect me to do it?" She asked them wide eyed.
"Ok then. We will have a sleep over at yours. I will stay with Pietro and Nat with Wanda." They said as the girls nodded in agreement.
They all settled in the Maximoff Residence. They had all told Pietro what was happening which he wasn't phased at all. He never believed any of them.
"You do realise how pathetic this is?" He asked the three.
"This isn't pathetic Pietro. We are trying to keep you safe." Wanda told her twin who just chuckled.
"This thing isn't real." He laughed as all three of them glared at him.
"It is Pietro. I don't care what you say anyway, I am staying here." Y/N stated as they settled in the chair for the night. Y/N was starting to wonder if this was a good idea. They made sure they had the blade secured in their boot.
"Do you think they will be ok?" Wanda asked as she and Nat settled for the night in her bed. Neither of them could sleep.
"I'm sure it will be fine Wanda." Nat reassured her even though she wasn't sure herself.
"Isn't Y/N older than Pietro?" Wanda then asked as the pair sat up and they frantically ran to Pietro's room.
"Hey where's the fire?" Pietro asked as he rubbed his eyes.
"Where's Y/N?" Nat asked him.
"They were on the chair?" He said as he pointed to an empty chair.
"Fuck!" Nat exclaimed.
"They probably just went home." He shrugged as Wanda shook her head at him.
"No they wouldn't. They would have told one of us." She told her twin.
"You still can't say that you still think this thing is behind all of these disappearances." He told them both as they both huffed and went back to her room.
"We need to look for them Nat." Wanda said as she paced her floor.
"We have to wait until the morning. We don't know if this Streega is stronger at night or not." She told her as Wanda started to panic.
"Oh god. What if we're too late. What if I never get to tell them." She said as Nat rolled her eyes and stood up. She placed her hands on Wanda's shoulders to stop her movements.
"You will be able to tell them that you're in love with them." She told her. "We just need to see Bobby first and he will help us." Wanda just nodded as Nat led her to the bed. Wanda couldn't sleep at all that night. She was worried for Y/N. She didn't know where they were or how they were.
Meanwhile Y/N soon woke to the sound of David screaming as the Streega reached in his chest and pulled out his beating heart before his eyes. They realised that it was feeding on them 8 days after they had been captured.
They flinched at every crack and rip they heard coming from David's body. Every bite which sounds like a greedy man biting out of a chicken leg. This was the first time they were actually scared. They were scared for their life. Nat's life. Maybe Pietro if it catches on.
They searched their boot for the blade only to find it gone. They could feel their eyes fill with tears as this was the end for them. As much as they talked a big game about taking this creature down but they never thought that they would be caught.
As they listened to the thing eat its way through the flesh on David's bones. Wanda and Nat were restless. As soon as the day started, they raced towards Bobby's and Nat knocked on frantically.
"Where's the taller kid?" He asked them both.
"The thing took them." Nat told him.
"Do we know how to kill it?" He asked them as they followed him into the living room.
"Raw iron blade to the heart." Nat informed him as he nodded and took a blade from his own knife collection.
"Well this may be tricky to get close to it." He said as they both nodded. "But with three of us we will have an amazing chance." He said with a smile.
"Nope. Wanda isn't in on this." Nat said as Wanda scoffed as she glared at the red head. "Y/N would kill me if I let you go in there."
"We have to do everything to get them back, Nat." Wanda told her as Nat shook her head.
"The two of you are fucking oblivious." She sighed as Bobby watched the interaction between the two.
"What is that supposed to mean?" She asked her as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"The two of you. It's getting exhausting to watch how you love them and they love you." Nat blurted out as Wanda chuckled.
"They wouldn't love me like that Nat." She said as she shook her head as Nat sighed.
"Just think Wanda. Especially to these past couple of weeks." She told her as Wanda did. She remembered how Y/N hated hugs but they welcomed them with ease from the Sokovian. They always had a soft spot for Wanda and came to her defense whenever they had to. They always made sure that she was safe no matter what. They even tried to get Wanda and Pietro out of town.
"Do you think it was their plan all along to be caught?" She asked Nat as she shrugged.
"I don't think so. I think they wanted to take the creature down before it took Pietro but none of us thought that it would take them in his place." Nat told her sadly.
"We have to get them back, Nat." Wanda said as her eyes started to sting as they filled with unshed tears.
"We will Wanda." She said as she pulled her in for a hug.
"Ok we will have to come up with a plan. And we can only execute it during the day." Bobby told the pair as they got talking of a plan while Y/N tried their hardest to get out of the leather bag that was hung on a metal hook.
Y/N continued to swing on the hook hoping the bag would fall. Although they didn't know how far the drop was. They didn't care either, they just wanted out so they continued to swing as hard as they could until they heard a snarl and felt a blow which caused them to hit the wall behind them and fall.
Wanda, Nat and Bobby were walking towards the old sewer entrance. The three of them looked at it before they all used their strength together and opened it.
They all had torches as they walked through the unused sewer. It was cold, damp and dark. The smell was no better either. It smelt like Pietro's room after Y/N had been taken.
"It's here." Bobby whispered as the three covered their noses.
"It's going to take forever to find them." Wanda said as Nat held her hand.
"And we will take as long as we have to to find them." Nat said as they continued to walk.
"These old sewer systems usually have an octogonal passageway where it connects each sewer." Bobby informed them
"So do you think they may be there?" Wanda asked hopefully.
"I hope so kid." He sighed as they continued to walk along the never ending tunnel. Rats were running in the opposite direction, like they were running away from something. Wanda spotted something shiny in the distance. When they approached it she remembered it as Y/N's blade.
"It's Y/N's." Nat stated as the three of them looked at it.
"That means they are here." Bobby stated as Wanda put the blade in her other hand ready for when they found Y/N.
"Fuck." Y/N groaned when they made impact with the floor. They felt an excruciating pain up their left arm as they landed on it. "That's going to leave a mark." They groaned as they tried to move it but it only caused them more pain.
They tried to wriggle the bag open with their good arm to get out. They jumped back when suddenly the bag was ripped open and they felt cold bony fingers around their throat. They tried with all of their might to get it's cold hand from their throat but it was so strong. Inhumanly strong.
"Let me go." They rasped out as they gasped for air with their airways constricting due to the pressure that the streega applied to it. They completely forgot about their already broken arm as they punched and kicked the streega which then threw them across the room. "I hate christmas." They groaned as they managed to get into a sitting position.
"Did you guys hear that?" Wanda asked the pair as they listened again until they heard another thud.
"We heard that." Bobby stated as the three started to run to the source of the sound.
"Don't you think it is kind of funny that we are running to the thing that wants to kill Y/N, Pietro and I." Nat laughed earning a glare from Wanda. They hoped that they would get their in time before the Streega killed again.
As Y/N tried to get up, it struck a blow to their chest winding them. They soon ended up on their knees hurled over as they held their chest feeling the pain from the blow. They yelped as it gripped their hair and started to drag them to the table where it was still covered in the blood from Henri and David. Y/N tried to get free but they had angered it. They had fought back. Something that none of its victims had done before.
Before it could reach into Y/N's chest, Bobby fired a raw iron bullet in its arm. It yelped as it stumbled away from Y/N. He kept shooting it as Wanda moved to help Y/N up off of the table. Nat went to help the other teens down from the bags.
They all watched as Bobby got close enough to it and stabbed it in its heart. They watched as it screamed out in pain as it turned to ashes. Bobby stood there over the ashes as he had finally done what he had wanted to do all of these years.
"Hey, Y/N. You need to see a doctor." Wanda said as she looked at Y/N who looked out of it. She was worried about her best friend as she moved their arm over her shoulders causing them to cry out in pain. Wanda was extremely worried about them as Bobby walked over to them.
"Help Nat with the others." He told her as she nodded. "Come on kid." He said as he used their right arm and put it over his shoulders. He and Y/N trailed slowly behind the others as they exited the old sewer system.
Bobby and Y/N were falling behind as Y/N kept losing their footing and stumbling. When Y/N had completely gone limp he picked them up before they managed to reach the others as they all sat down. Bobby lay Y/N down as Wanda and Nat rushed over to them.
"I called 911." Nat said as Bobby nodded.
"Thank you." Wanda told him as he smiled at her.
"It was all them." He said as he pointed to Y/N. "They sought me out. I gave up but they made me want to fight again for Jack and those kids who were in our shoes." Wanda sat beside Y/N and handed Nat the blades.
"Yelena is on her way to take the knives home to keep them safe for them." She told Wanda who nodded. Y/N was out cold and Wanda was worried about them but soon enough those worries will be put to an end as they heard the sirens coming closer to them.
"You'll be ok Y/N." She whispered as she kissed their forehead.
The other teens were treated for dehydration since they hadn't been fed or drank any water in days. Meanwhile Y/N had fractured ribs and had to have pins put in their left arm. They had bruised lungs and a bruised back.
The Lassiters and The Moores were devastated at the loss of Henry and David. But the other families were happy to have them back.
Y/N sat on the hospital bed as Aunt May went to sign their discharge papers as Peter sat beside them.
"What actually happened Y/N?" Peter asked as Y/N turned off the TV. They placed the remote back on the side before shaking their head no. They didn't want to talk about it. They wanted to forget it all happened.
"I'm not talking about it Peter." They told him angrily as they got off the bed.
"I was only asking Y/N because it has clearly affected you." He said as Y/N just chuckled dryly. It was Christmas eve and their friends would be spending it with their families. They wouldn't get to see them until after Boxing Day.
"Are you ready to go home Y/N?" Aunt May asked softly as she entered the room. They nodded as they went to pick up their bag but Aunt May beat them to it. They walked out behind May and Peter towards the car. "Y/N is in the passenger seat Peter." She told him sternly as he huffed and got in the back with a scowl. Y/N struggled to sit in the seat as they were still in pain. They were healing but too slow for their liking.
When they got home, they just went to their room to lay down. They hated the memories of it eating David. They could still hear his screams and the sounds of his body being torn apart. They could still smell that awful smell of fear and death.
They wanted to sleep but they didn't. It was around 10pm and they decided to call Nat. They know that Wanda's parents can be strict on the holidays.
"What can I do for you Y/N?" Nat greeted them.
"I can't sleep Nat." They said quietly. Nat was shocked to hear them speak like they were so small and frail.
"What's going on Y/N?" She asked them softly.
"I can still hear them." They spoke shakily. "The screams and the sounds and the smell." They said as tears fell down their cheeks. "I can't sleep because I am back there everytime I close my eyes. There's no one to talk to without being called crazy."
"I know Y/N." She spoke softly. "I've seen the news."
"It's ridiculous Nat. They're saying it was an overdose that killed Henry and David and that the rest just wanted a place to party and get high before the holidays." They said as they sat up. "It infuriates me that they still don't believe us."
"I understand Y/N." She sighed and then she came up with an idea. "When are you going to tell Wanda?"
"Tell Wanda what?" They asked her, playing dumb.
"You know what Y/N." She scolded them as they chuckled.
"I'm tired Nat." They told her as she sighed.
"Well go to sleep." She suggested as they took in a deep breath.
"I can't Nat." They whispered with tears in their eyes.
"Well, think about the things you love the most about Wanda." She teased before hanging up. That was when Y/N decided to ask the brunette to meet them in the Town Square.
"Where are you going?" Aunt May asked Y/N as they put on their shoes and jacket.
"I need to see Wanda." They said before they left the house. Aunt May smiled at them as the door closed.
Y/N stood under the Christmas lights as they waited patiently for her. They smiled as she walked through the crowd of people. The snow fell perfectly as she walked with a smile on her face.
Their smile widened when she got closer. They admired how her eyes sparkled under the multicoloured lights.
"Are you ok Y/N?" She asked them concerned as she approached them.
"Yes. No. Maybe." They stumbled over their words. "I will be." They smiled at her as they tried to hide how nervous they were. "This is so hard to say."
"Just take your time." She smiled at them. They soon caught her family just beside the ice rink.
"I'm so sorry you're out with your family." They said with wide eyes.
"It's ok Y/N." She laughed which made them lighter. "So what did you want to say?"
"I uh well. I am in love with you. I have been in love with you for however long I can remember. And when I was there, all I could think about was I never got to tell you. And I need to tell you. Even if you will never feel the same. I just have to get it out because it's eating me alive." When they finished, Wanda just gazed at them with a fuzzy smile on her face.
"Y/N. I was worried that I would never get the chance to tell you how I feel either. You are my most favourite person in the world. My world literally spins for you and I would be so lost without you." She sighed before she reached up to cup their face. Their cheeks are cold from the winter air. "I am so in love with you too."
Y/N smiled down at her as they could feel their heart fill with joy. They both leaned in and let their lips meet in their first kiss. A kiss that sent warmth throughout their bodies as it became passionate as each second went on.
When they pulled away for air they heard cheering and clapping from their family and friends who had all decided to sneak out and watch as Wanda hid her face in Y/N's chest. Y/N rubbed their good hand up and down her back as she wrapped her arms around their middle. Just enjoying their embrace and happy to get all of that off of their chests after a hard couple of weeks.
They both soon joined their friends and families to celebrate christmas eve together. Everyone together is happy and safe.
"This is my favourite christmas eve." Wanda whispered as they watched everyone ice skating.
"Next year we will skate." Y/N stated as Wanda smiled up at them. They leaned down and gave her soft peck before they both opted to go for a walk around in the snow.
They had finally overcome every possible obstacle they could have ever dreamed of and only came out stronger.

October Special Masterlist
Tumblr media
"Sestra, it'll be fun" Yelena argued with her Russian accent coming in thick. It was Halloween and your sisters, Natasha and Yelena planned a little party for you with the help of the other Avengers, Alexei and Melina. It's been a few short months since your year of therapy had gone from three sessions a week to weekly appointments, your therapist was proud of how far you'd come since your sisters saved you from the subjugation of Red Room and freed you from the control of General Dreykov. You hated that they wanted to throw a party in your honor, you never liked the fuss being about you.
"Lena, I know you and Nat are happy for me and trust me, I am proud of myself as well but I just don't think I want to have a party thrown to celebrate" you replied before letting your eyes fall back down to the book in your hands.
"It is not just to celebrate how far you have come" Yelena spoke as she took a seat at the end of your bed, forcing you to put your book down once more. "It's about making new memories, ones that are real, ones we get to keep and talk about in years to come. Natasha won't admit it but I know she would love to fill the photo album she has on her bookcase and I would like an updated photo of the three of us" your older sister by 2 years went on.
She had a point and that made it hard for you to turn her down. Looking back on the memories you had with your sisters, it was hard to remember. You were only 4 when the mission in Ohio was completed and you were ripped from Natasha's arms. After that, it was blurred moments of fake Christmases, thanksgivings and other holidays just to give you three a moment of something that felt somewhat normal.
"Fine" you playfully rolled your eyes at the blonde, "will Kate and Wanda be there?" you asked with hope. Yelena nodded, "who do you think were the first to jump at the idea of baking a cake" she replied.
"A cake? Really?" you asked with a slight frown, of course your family were going to make this a big deal and honestly, for Yelena to say this would be fun was a comment you never thought she would say about a party.
----
Music mixed with laughter and chatter filled the room, Kate wandered around taking polaroid photos of everybody and placed them in a small box for you to look back on at a later date. Eventually the room became quiet, around midnight people called it a night and headed to bed leaving you, Yelena and Natasha still up.
"Now we can really party" Natasha smiled as she placed a bottle of vodka on the table along with three shot glasses. "Amen to that!" you replied in a sigh of relief, too much socializing and now you were finally going to have the party you truly wanted with your sisters.
Yelena poured three shots as you and Natasha threw streamers at one another, you started it of course. "Stop acting like children, lets drink!" Yelena announced as she carefully yet skilfully sliding the shot glasses down the table to you and Nat without spilling a drop. You downed your shot the moment it hit your hand, the burn of the alcohol in the back of your throat reminding you why you loved vodka so much.
It was long before the bottle of vodka was finished, and another was placed on the table. Crumbs of cake slices littered the wooden table while the three of you made new memories, jokes and brought up old, good memories.
"SO BYE BYE MISS AMERICAN PIE, DROVE MY CHEVY TO THE LEVEE, BUT THE LEVEE WAS DRY" the three of you sung in sync, now each holding a bottle of vodka. Wanda and Kate had come down from upstairs and watched the drunk mess unfold. You were laughing, when Yelena pushed you to the floor for standing on her foot for the 5th time. Natasha had the polaroid camera in her hand taking very drunken and blurry photos of you and Yelena before turning the camera on herself to snap a selfie.
"Do you think Tony would get made if we stole one of his suits? I mean come on! those things look so fucking sick!" You looked between your sisters. Yelena turned to Nat, "I'm with Y/n, let's do it!" she said before taking another mouthful of vodka from the bottle.
"Should we stop them?" Kate whispered to Wanda who shook her head, "no, let them have their fun" the Sokovian replied before gesturing her head towards the stairs as a way to say let's go back to bed. "I kind of want to be awake early to see Tony's reaction" Kate whispered once more as she followed Wanda up the stairs.
"Alright but you gotta be quiet!" Natasha said, bringing her index finger to her lips in a shush motion.
Cheeky smiles tugged at the lips of you and your sister as Natasha led you both down the hall to the elevator, pressing the basement button.
----
"Can somebody tell me why the fuck I found 3 of my suits scattered around the damn compound?!" Tony asked with pure anger in his voice. Your head was pounding, it had clearly been a while since you got drunk as much as you did last night.
"Tony, shhhh!" you looked up at him before taking a sip of your coffee.
"Nothing is broken, nothing to stress about" Natasha tuned in, taking her hang over a lot better than you were. She looked as though she didn't even drink last night.
"That's not the point Romanoff and you know it!" Tony snapped, "the three of you are suspended until further notice so I suggest you start thinking about cleaning up the mess you made!" he added before storming out of the room.
"What mess?" you asked with a frown as Natasha sat down across from you at the dining table, peanut butter toast in her hand. "Oh, that is on you and Yelena to clean" she replied with a light chuckle as you rested your head on the table to catch a few extra minutes of shut eye.
Yelena came into the kitchen just how Natasha did, as if a hangover was non-existent. "HA! Looks like somebody needs a little more practice on how keep their vodka down" she spoke, her loud voice making your head pound harder than before. Slowly, you lifted your head to look up at your sister, giving her a look of death has she stole Natasha's mug of coffee, "please shut up" you replied before letting your head drop to the table once again.
"You and Y/n have to go clean up the yard today" Natasha said after swallowing a mouthful of her toast. "Yeah, I figured" Yelena chuckled, bringing the mug to her lips, "you better go take a shower sestra" she encouraged you only to earn a mumble and grumble in return as you took yourself to the showers.
"Another round tonight and they will be fine" Yelena looked at Natasha before taking another sip of Nat's coffee, Nat just chuckled, "I don't think they could handle another round" she replied as Wanda walked into the kitchen.
"You three had fun last night" she smiled softly as she placed a rather large handful of polaroid on the table in front of the two Russian sisters. Natasha reached for the small photos and flicked through them while Yelena watched, a smile tugging at both sisters lips as they saw how happy they looked, how much fun they had and how finally they had photos with real moments, real emotions and real love.
"Yeah, one of the best nights" Natasha spoke softly.

“Wait wha-“ Looks down to see she was hand cuffed to the bed. “Damn it! ROMANOFF-”
Natasha returns to the warehouse to see her younger siblings waiting for her. “What?”
“Do you always take everything literally?” Yelena asked.
“Well, you guys always said fuck the feds and never provided context-“

Valedictorian
Natasha Romanoff x Female Reader
Your daughter is the valedictorian of her class and the whole team and family watches her graduate
Note: I got this idea from going to so many graduations lately and of course I headcanon Nat and y/n’s kids as valedictorian level smart lol. Enjoy this fluff!
Natasha Romanoff Masterlist 1, Natasha Romanoff Masterlist 2, Main Masterlist
“Natasha?” You try your best to get her attention. She’s staring off into space as she sits next you.
Her leg shakes with nervousness. You put a soft hand on her thigh.
“She’s going to do so great, my love,” you tell her.
Finally, she acknowledges you. It’s just with the slip of her hand in yours but it’s enough to know she’s okay.
You direct your attention back to the stage where the principal calls for the valedictorian to give the commencement speech. Your daughter stands up from her seat and walks to the stage.
There are hoops and hollers from your section, especially from the Avengers.
Ali starts out speaking somewhat quietly, but she gains her confidence quickly. Especially when she sees all the smiling faces of her family. She gives the usual thanks to her classmates and teachers. Her speech is so eloquently written that no matter what she’s saying tears are in your eyes.
“Here comes the part she didn’t show us,” Nat says barely above a whisper. Ali wanted to surprise you both with an extra part to her speech. You listen carefully as she speaks.
“Lastly, I’d like to thank my moms. I love you both as my little sister would say like the moon,” she says with a laugh. “There’s no way I would be here today without you.” She speaks about you first, sharing anecdotes of all the times you made her do her homework or drove her to basketball practice. And how she loves having your eyes and your soft heart. Tears run down your face.
“And a lot of you probably know my mama as the Black Widow,” Ali says. “But I know her as the most beautiful, loving woman in the world. A person who, as she’s done before, would run into a fight to save someone she’s never even met. A person who has put her whole heart into raising me alongside the love of her life.”
You hold Natasha’s hand and she squeezes it so tightly.
Ali continues, “Me and my siblings know that the Black Widow is a superhero, but to us she’s a hero named Mama. And she’s my hero because of the courage she shows everyday. The courage to love and to be loved. That’s something I wanted to share with you all. May we all have the courage to love and be loved as life takes us on this new path. Thank you.”
The crowd erupts into cheers and she even gets a standing ovation from her classmates and the crowd.
“She did great,” Steve comments from behind you.
“That’s our girl,” Natasha says, beaming with pride. The nervousness has been shaken off and she’s nothing but proud.
Ali walks back to her seat and your whole section waves at her. She waves back subtly.
The rest of the ceremony goes by quickly and Ali definitely has the loudest cheers when her name is called, partially due to Tony breaking the no air horns rule.
When you meet up with her afterwards, you both pull her into a hug.
“We’re so proud of you!” You say with her in your embrace.
“Thanks Mom,” she says. “How was the speech?”
“The best speech I’ve ever heard,” you answer.
“Did you cry?” She asks, a mischievous grin on her face.
Natasha finally cuts in, “I cried like a baby.”
You all share a chuckle and all the other kids join you. Ali hugs each one and you love watching them being so proud of their big sister.
Steve, Sam, Tony, Peter, and Pepper all hug her as well. Wanda is trudging behind with her boys, but she also hugs Ali so tight when she sees her.
“Gang is almost all here,” Natasha says. She turns to Ali. “You’re popular.”
“Can’t help that I’m the best,” the girl shrugs. “Did you hear from Aunt Yelena?”
“Yeah. I’m sorry, baby. She’s still out on a mission,” Natasha answers.
“Is she?” You ask.
“What does that mean?” Nat asks you.
You smile and seemingly out of thin air Yelena appears next to Ali.
“So, what exactly is a valedictorian?” Yelena asks.
“Aunt Yelena!” The girl shouts and hugs her immediately. “How are you here?”
“Your mom,” Yelena gives her classic simple response.
“I made some calls,” you further explain.
“Thank you,” Natasha leans into you and says. You know she missed her sister too.
Yelena and Ali have gotten so close lately that you knew they would want to be able to celebrate this together. It wasn’t easy but you made it happen.
“I love you,” you tell Nat. You drop a kiss to her cheek and then gather everyone for photos.
The day is spent celebrating your daughter and being together as a family. It’s the perfect beginning of a new chapter and you know she’ll do great things.

Carving Pumpkins Headcanons
masterlist
Pairing: marvel characters x gn!reader
Characters: Frank Castle, Loki, Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, Bucky Barnes, Peter Parker, Yelena Belova, Matt Murdock, Natasha Romanoff, Wanda Maximoff
Warnings: just pure fluff
𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒍𝒆
Tumblr media
Remembers when you briefly mention it one time that you wanted to carve pumpkins this year
Will go buy all the things needed, without you asking
Lays everything out to surprise you with when you get home
Makes sure to put newspaper under the entire area for an easy cleanup
Prefers to just watch you do it to see the smile on your face, but will join in if you ask
Is one to do a more simple design
You convince him to put on halloween music after you argue that there are more halloween songs other than Thriller and the Monster Mash
Takes the seeds and starts to cook them as you’re carving
Puts the finished pumpkins facing outwards on the windowsill for the city to see
Places tea lights in them so they light up when it’s dark out
Cleans up everything after you’re done and doesn’t let you help
𝑳𝒐𝒌𝒊
Tumblr media
Looks at you like you’ve grown an extra head when you talk about carving into pumpkins
Calls the carving utensils ‘torturing devices’
Doesn’t understand the point of it, even when you try to explain that it’s for fun
Leaves an uncarved pumpkin sitting in front of him while he just sits and watches you do your own
You eventually get him to try doing his own
Tries to use magic to immediately get it done, but stops when he sees the look you give him
Goes completely overboard in his design, even when he’s not using magic
Accidentally carves too much for the design he was going for
Uses magic to fix it
You pretend not to notice
You can tell that he’s proud of the final product, even if he doesn’t act like it
Nit picks the perfect place to put his pumpkin so it’s in just the right place to be admired
𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒍 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔
Tumblr media
Would be excited to get the chance to carve pumpkins with you
Has experience with all the times she would carve them with Monica when she was young
Will blast music while you’re carving, be it halloween music or just a mix of everything that happens to come on
Gets distracted by the music and takes a lot longer to finish the carvings than it probably should have
Carves more pumpkins than you have the room for
Ends up finding random places to put them all
Goose ends up knocking one of the pumpkins down and smashing it, so that solves some of the problem
𝑲𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒂 𝑲𝒉𝒂𝒏
Tumblr media
The most excited out of everyone
Will plead with her mom to use their kitchen and get the things needed to carve
Finally gets her to agree when she promises to do chores for a week and to clean up everything after
Ends up carving the Captain Marvel logo into one of the pumpkins
Her brother comes over to visit and you all end up throwing seeds and pumpkin guts at each other
Gets the week of chores she said she would do doubled to two weeks when you both don’t see a clump of seeds that was left under one of the counters
Will try to suck up to her mom so she’ll let her do it again next year, who will get tired of her daughter following her around everywhere and just agree
She immediately regrets it
𝑩𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒚 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒔
Tumblr media
Used to carve pumpkins with his sisters
Would be the one to supervise all of them to make sure no one got hurt
His siblings would make fun of the outcome of his pumpkin when he was rushing to get one done from helping the other girls with theirs
Is happy when you ask him to carve with you
You have to show him how to use certain tools because some are different from when he used to do it
Has to remember how to carve again as he hasn’t done it in decades
Has a smile on his face the whole time from the memories
Gets embarrassed when you catch him just watching you carve as he was used to watching his siblings do it
The end product turns out better than they usually did
Picks different places around to put the pumpkins
𝑷𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒓
Tumblr media
Competes with Kamala with how excited he is to carve
Will get all the things needed for it and more things you don’t
Goes on a tangent about how you guys need the other stuff in order to make the most out of it
Ned it behind him the entire time shaking his head and shrugging his shoulders at you
Eventually lets you guys start to carve
His pumpkin doesn’t turn out as great as he was expecting it to
He spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out how to make it better all while Ned was just laughing at it
His wasn’t any better
Becomes a competition on who made the better pumpkin and they force you to be the judge
You don’t pick a side and just continue to innocently carve your pumpkin
However you at some point have to step in to break up the argument as they hadn’t let up after almost a half hour
You force them to make it a draw and to help you clean the mess that they made
𝒀𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒂 𝑩𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒂
Tumblr media
With her upbringing she’s never really carved pumpkins before
She’s hesitant when you bring it up, but agrees wanting see what it’s like
She’s excited like Peter and Kamala, but will try to play it cool
You can tell she’s excited when she starts grabbing different things, letting a smile out on her face
Is surprised when the inside is messy
Can’t clean the inside that well with the scraping utensil and ends up just grabbing the guts with her hands and pulling it out that way
You get her some basic stencils to use to get the hang of it
She says the basic ones are boring so will try and do one of the more complex designs
Tears start coming out of her eyes as she laughs at how bad the design comes out
Ends up having to go back to the easier designs
𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕 𝑴𝒖𝒓𝒅𝒐𝒄𝒌
Tumblr media
Doesn’t see the point in you wanting him to try and carve a pumpkin, it’s not like he’ll be able to see it
Makes an attempt to carve one anyway
Has to stop when his senses go into overdrive by the smell and the feel of the guts and seeds mashed together
Feels bad for not being able to do it for longer with you
You reassure him that it’s completely fine and it’s not his fault his senses were sensitive
He talks with you through the whole process though
But it’s across the room because the smell is a lot milder over there
You don’t mind because at least you still get his company
You end up lighting a small candle for him so the potent smell of the pumpkin leaves the air
He says the scent relaxes him even though you would think that the smell would also be overwhelming for him, but you can visibly see him relax more, taking his glasses off with a small smile etched on his face as you work.
𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐟𝐟
Tumblr media
Just smiles at you when you show up with pumpkins and all the carving material for them
Gets straight to work with setting up and preparing
Ends up making a very complex and precise design
You stare in awe at the finished product and she just shrugs it off like it’s nothing, but you can see a slight smirk on her face
You accidentally fling some of the pumpkin guts from yours onto her and she takes it as a challenge
You both end up having to clean the entire room of guts and seeds by the end of it
While picking up sections she continues to throw scraps at you so it takes longer to clean than it should have
𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐟𝐟
Tumblr media
You carve with her and her boys
She makes sure to get extra utensils and pumpkins when if the boys end up breaking things
She has to supervise the competition that they make into who can carve the best pumpkin
You continue to carve by yourselves when she ushers the boys to bed
You chat, quietly, as you finish up the designs you’re making
Decorates the porch with all of the pumpkins carved
Uses magic to make the pumpkins look like they’re glowing 24/7 and also so they’ll last until after Halloween
You clean up everything together at the end when it’s all finished

Operation WandaNat
Tumblr media
Summary: Natasha Romanoff is your best friend -- a best friend who most certainly has a crush on your sister. So when she brings her sister back to the compound, you're delighted to finally get an accomplice to help the two Avengers confess.
Word Count: 2451
Pairing: Natasha Romanoff x Wanda Maximoff; Yelena Belova & Maximoff!Reader
Warnings: Pietro is dead, 'there was only one bed', scheming, and a very slight innuendo at the end.
A/N: This was a very fun dynamic to write, I hope you enjoy it!
»»————- ★ ————-««
“I thought I might find you two here.”
You recognise Natasha’s voice, your best friend coming to join you and Wanda, but you don’t turn to greet her. Instead, your focus lingers on the grave before you. “It’s been a year today.”
The soft tread of boots on the soil ensures you aren’t startled when her red hair invades your vision, finally drawing your attention from the grave to the flowers Natasha sets down, and eventually to the woman herself.
“I, um, didn’t think you’d come here, Nat,” Wanda murmurs. Her bowed head could easily be mistaken as a figment of her grief, but you notice her attempts to smooth her hair and the way her eyes follow Natasha’s every move, so when her eyes catch yours, you raise an eyebrow with a hint of a smirk. She uses her unique, all-powerful telepathic abilities to tell you to fuck off.
If Natasha notices the silent conversation happening around her, she doesn’t comment on it. Instead, she pulls a flower out of the bouquet before rising to her feet and presenting it to Wanda, “I know what it’s like to lose a sibling, through death or…otherwise. I didn’t want you to go through it alone.”
“Thank you, Nat. Wanda and I appreciate it,” you say. Wanda stammers out an agreement and almost melts when Natasha shoots her a sympathetic smile. “You should go look for her, you know. Yelena.”
Natasha smiles, but shakes her head, “We didn’t leave things on the best terms. Besides, I’ve been on TV, I live in a very public location, and it’s been years since I took the Red Room down; if she wanted to find me, she would.”
“If Pietro were still alive, I’d do anything to be reunited with him,” Wanda says, casting a sad look at her twin’s grave before she turns back towards Natasha, “I know you’d do the same, so find her.”
“The team-”
“-are on hiatus until Tony and Steve get their egos in check. Wanda and I can handle things in your absence, so please just go look for her.”
After minutes of contemplation, Natasha decides: “I’ll tell you if I find anything.” Then she runs back to the Compound, leaving just you and Wanda at your brother’s grave.
“So…” you began, “are you going to miss your girlfriend?”
“Just because Pietro’s gone, doesn’t mean you have to take his place, idiot.”
“I’m the eldest, I had that place before the both of you were even born, thank you very much. And I don’t hear you denying Nat’s your girlfriend-”
“Shut up. She’s not! Why don’t you ask yourself that; you’re the one hanging out with her all the time. I don’t even have a chance to talk to her without you hanging around.”
“Because we’re friends, Wands, and I don’t blush the second she smiles at me.” You shrug, then point at the flower she still holds, “but if you want some space to give her flowers of your own, then you should have just asked…” Wanda scowls and you worry her next move will be to chuck you across the field with her powers, something you hope to avoid. So, after one last smirk, you hurry back to the Compound; Natasha needed teasing for the affection she’d just shown towards your sister.
You’d regret it one day, when they finally get together and learn to team up against you, but that day won’t come without your intervention so, for now, you’ll keep it up.
»»————- ★ ————-««
Unfortunately, your sister never did get to woo Natasha; she planned and plotted and schemed, but when the two actually ended up in a room together, Wanda stammered out only excuses to leave.
Then, before the two had even had another proper conversation, Natasha disappeared. She told you (and only you, much to Wanda's disappointment) that she'd found a lead on her sister, then two hours later she was gone.
"Maybe when she's back," you tell Wanda in consolation, "you'll get there one day."
But that future day stretches further and further away as Natasha's leave of absence continues to extend: from days, to weeks, to two months later, until she finally returns to the Compound.
Wanda senses it first, before the assassin even steps into the building – something to do with 'feeling telepathic energy' (sometimes you regret not joining HYDRA with the twins; it seemed awful but you would have liked cool powers). Regardless, you heard her cry of "Natasha is back!" and followed her to the door… albeit at a slower, less-crazed pace.
It means you enter the foyer just in time to see Wanda stopped in her tracks by a knife-wielding blonde. "Get that knife away from her!" you yell, even if Wanda can protect herself more than you ever can. Your skills are, luckily, not tested when a familiar face enters and forces the newcomer's hand down to their side.
"You're the guest, сестра, act like it. They're friends."
"Natasha!"
"Hey again, Wands, it's good seeing you again…"
The blonde looks between the pair, her eyes narrowing and her head tilting slightly before she looks up at you. You shrug; at least someone else sees it. Then she coughs, a clearly fake 'let's break this up' kind of cough that does its job and snaps Natasha back to the present.
"Oh, right, yes, this is my sister, Yelena. Yelena, this is Y/N, and their younger sister, Wanda."
Wanda frowns slightly at the way Natasha introduces her, until you subtly elbow her side and nod towards Yelena, encouraging her to shake the Widow's outstretched hand.
"It's nice to meet you," Yelena remarks, "I've heard a lot from Natasha already."
Both Wanda and Natasha look sheepish then, and you sigh, moving to shake Yelena's hand. She possesses a knowing smirk and looks from you to the blushing pair; this time, you confirm her suspicions with a nod.
"Pleasure to meet you, Yelena, I do hope you're staying; I'm sure we'll find plenty to talk about."
"Oh I'm sure we will."

Yelena did stay, in a move that did wonders for your sanity, though she found herself growing closer to Wanda than to you, thanks to their matching ages and your already close relationship with her sister. But that didn't deter the gossiping between you two; if anything, it encouraged it.
There were no secrets within the newly formed quartet: Wanda whines to you about her crush on Natasha, Natasha whines to Yelena about her crush on Wanda, then you and Yelena meet twice a week to laugh over the new comments your sisters had made. Not to mention the teasing between both the sibling duos and the friendship duos: you messing with Natasha, and Yelena doing the same to Wanda.
It was truly against both yours and Yelena's best efforts that neither Wanda nor Natasha had clocked each others' feelings yet – you weren't subtle about pointing it out to them.
Eventually, after a lengthy conversation with Yelena, and possibly a few too many vodka shots, the two of you decide to take the matter into your own hands. While your sisters are preoccupied planning the last minute details of their mission, you and Yelena approach Steve with a plan of your own; the biggest surprise of all being how quickly he agrees.
"Are you sure this will work?" Yelena asks.
"I've seen hundreds of shows and books where it happens, trust me."
"There's always the fall back after the mission is complete; it'll work one way or another."
"Are you sure you're okay with this, Steve?" the man had happily interjected, but you still felt like checking, "this doesn't seem like…your kind of style…"
"Meddling in relationships? Bucky and I have been doing it since '29; and now I have experience of what happens when you wait too long. I'm all in."
"Good. Then the plan's all set?"
"All ready to go; I'll keep you two informed… if your sisters don't kill me on the way home, that is."
Yelena shrugs, "I can't guarantee that they will not."
"I'll take the risk."

You waved Steve, Natasha, and Wanda off on their mission the next day; it was supposed to be fairly risk free: they would fly out and stay in a hotel overnight, then explore an abandoned HYDRA base for leads the next day. Though there was always a risk of things going wrong, it was safe enough that your… suggested adjustments were approved and set in place without Natasha or Wanda knowing, given they were the two parties involved.
The strategy was cliché and over done, but you wanted to see it play out, booking the pair of them into a room with only one bed. Of course Steve would never dream of sharing a bed with a lady, so he'd have to take the single while they share a double, possibly even confessing their feelings in the night. You didn't actually think it would work, despite what you told Yelena, but you'll take any opportunity to mess with your sister and your best friend.
Then there was Plan B, the backup strategy you hoped for sure would work: at the end of the mission, when the base is confirmed to be empty, the two women will enter a room that 'accidentally' shuts and locks behind them, forcing them to sit and talk until Steve comes to the rescue.
And to make things even better, you don't have to wait long to find out how it goes. The quinjet touches down the following evening; Steve is the first to walk out, with a sheepish bow of his head that tells you nothing important. But Yelena sighs, and you realise that you must have missed something.
"You got cau-"
A hand roughly shoves Yelena back, cutting off her assumption while simultaneously proving it correct. The hand was Natasha's; you only caught a moment of their exchange before your sister did the same to you, dragging you by the ear away from your ally, Yelena, and Steve, the accomplice who got himself caught.
"This was your doing, wasn't it?" Wanda chides the moment the two of you are alone. The Sokovian accent arises with her words, as it always does when her anger is prominent, and it is only then that you contemplate whether meddling had been a good idea after all.
"You have to give more information than that," you taunt further. Why? You don't know. Winding her up is just an occasional need, a familiarity that you're sure she enjoys more than she lets on.
"The one bed? The locked room? This has you written all over it; especially when I'm stuck with Tasha."
You don't miss the slip of a new nickname, but you also decide to wait until later to comment on it. Now is the time to come clean. "Well, uh… did it work?"
A blush rises immediately to Wanda's cheeks, and you realise this list of 'things to tease her about later' is growing large enough that you'll soon need a notebook to keep on top of it. Still, you wait for Wanda to confess it herself, which she does with a shy nod.
"The one bed thing, it made us talk, we were more open than usual. Then in the locked room she was frustrating herself looking for ways to escape, I told her then, to make her take a break and just talk to me."
"Sweet little Wands making the first move! I never thought I'd see the day!"
"Shut up," she groans, though you know by the restrained smile that she doesn't mean it, "I'm still mad at you for meddling."
"It wasn't just me, you know!"
"Oh I know, Tash is scolding Yelena right now and Steve's already had it. You all better be sorry."
"We did you both a service, and do we get a thanks? Nooo, reprimanded instead," you mutter with an accompanying eye roll.
Wanda catches it and glares. "I will blast you through this wall right now-"

Despite Wanda’s words, and Natasha’s faux disappointed look when she passes you later, you know neither of them hold true resentment over the incident; the amusement of acting cross displays in their eyes and in the upturned corners of their mouths, even if they hide it in their expressions.
It only takes a day after that for things to settle back into the old routine, with only a slight difference stemming from the dating Avengers. You and Natasha go back to training together and watching movies afterwards, while Wanda and Yelena do the same – it is only when your two activities overlap, and the flirting begins between the new couple, that you exchange one assassin for another and hurry away from the scene with Yelena.
It’s a necessary move since, as the months pass, Wanda and Natasha only grow more carefree in their expressions of affection, something which comes to a head in the common room one evening, while playing a game of truth or dare:
“Has anyone ever made you scream?”
If Tony’s question aimed to draw out stories of your childhood pranks on Wanda, then it was severely misjudged; you had spent many nights comforting your younger sister as Stark’s bombs rained down on the city, and you worry for what Wanda’s reaction will be. You prepare to defend her, but then she smiles, and you think she’s getting ready to scold him herself. Wanda glances at Natasha and the assassin smirks into her drink; it’s an odd reaction, you think, until you realise what Wanda is actually going to say:
“Nat’s made me scream; almost every ni-”
“Ah stop! Stop! Enough! I don’t need to hear about my sister like that. God.”
Yelena storms out, dragging you with her by the wrist. Since you still face the group, you take this as your opportunity to fake disappointment, shaking your head slowly at the couple. You do eventually turn and walk beside Yelena, once you’re out of sight, and follow her back to her room. The two of you take the places that have become your designated spots in times such as these, and she offers you a drink.
“So,” you begin, “how long are we staying ‘angry’ this time?”
“Hour or so? The horrified sister act takes its toll.”
“We could always stop pretending.” You say with a deadpan expression; Yelena stares back with the same, until the two of you break into laughter.
“As if,” Yelena laughs, “how do we double down next time?”Bringing Yelena home might have been Natasha’s worst mistake. She and Wanda would never be free of your scheming.

Note
Jaws knows Nat, Yelena, and Wanda can handle themselves but they still have a signal when they’re out and someone gets too pushy. Because let’s face it, all Jaws has to do is smile and the person goes running.
of course of course.
The three of them usually handle social situations themselves with Jaws lagging behind sometimes, but trust- one meaningful gesture their way and Jaws is always ready to put God's Week-Old Leftovers in their place.
