Finally got a fancy(tm) pic of my aquarium - think I figured out the solution to awful photos is just I have to do them at night because the hugeass window in my room directly adjacent ruins everything. Going to try and take a pic like this weekly to track growth!
Anyway it's looking close? Closeish? to being cycled so the question is: WHAT COLOUR SHRIMP
why do all my baby shrimp love the back wall so much? theres like 10 of them just sitting there
also that snail just absolutely stole the spotlight
also if anyone knows what species these fish are, please tell me. theyre like 2 months old already, but i still dont know what they are
i mean theyre my beautiful stowaway fish children and i will always love them no matter what, but i dont even know what tank size they need
edit lol : traced a photo of one of them cuz i realized that u cant see their weird aah dorsal fin cuz of terrible quality (i only know a few species with fins like this, and im pretty sure theyre none of those)
The golden shrimp plant is native to Peru but it can't tolerate temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. To experience one growing in Vancouver you have to see it in a greenhouse setting. I've always thought that this plant looks quite extraterrestrial, so where better place to go than the Bloedel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth Park?
The Bloedel Conservatory was opened in 1969 at the height of the Buckminster Fuller/Geodesic Dome craze. From the outside it looks like a flying saucer but the inside is like a tropical paradise. To a flower photographer like me it was like a trip to the toyshop. I had so much fun, I even bought the coffee mug!
