#yes I had to learn dominoes in RDR2

Edward and Jonathan are a near equal match at dominoes because while Edward is better from a pure math standpoint, Jonathan can easily tell when he’s unable to place high-value tiles and is able to plan accordingly

Zelda RDR2 Ideas
I’m still working on a good title for both the main story and epilogue.
What is brainstormed so far ( I can add more to the list if necessary):
Lincoln “Link”:  Morgan- Link as Arthur Morgan
Ganondorf Dragmire as John Marston
Zelda Hyrule Dragmire as Abigail Roberts Marston
Rinku Hyrule/Dragmire, @figmentforms‘s OC as Jack Marston
Yes, I’m still including my OC, Shanti but she’ll be born in the epilogue once I come to that point as I’m playing through my current gameplay of Red Dead Redemption 2.
Anyone wants to throw in some asks, has any questions, please feel free to do so since I hadn’t had any asks in my inbox in ages.
Spoilers ahead, proceed with caution.
1. Yes, Link is going to talk in this fan fiction. But he is not going to be annoying if you get my drift.
2. Zelda is pregnant throughout the main story plot- about 2nd trimester (about 4-5 months) during the first part of the game - Shady Belle /3rd-trimester post-Shady Belle when Link comes back from Guarma (6-7 months along).
3. Link finds the Belgian Mare, Epona instead of (Arthur) finding a Tennessee Walker Stallion. Until then, he borrowed Charles’ Appaloosa mare, Taima.
4. Ganondorf’s horse will be a solid black Shire stallion named Bucephalus.
5. Link learned how to hunt with a bow while he went hunting deer with Charles.
6. Ganondorf’s last horse will be eaten by wolves  (Just like John’s last horse before Old Boy)
7. Link rides with Javier on his horse, Boaz while letting Ganondorf on Epona during his rescue.
8. Link never grew facial hair, but his hair will be Breath of the Wild long later on.
9. Link’s rifle will resemble the Master Sword and his pistols will look like the Silver Gauntlets. Ganondorf’s rifle will look like the Sword of the Sages (  Twilight Princess) and pistols look like the twin swords  (Wind Waker)
10. Link plays dominoes with Zelda at Horshoe Overlook (based on my current gameplay I played dominoes with Abigail.)
11. Micah (being a racist asshole that he is) rips on Ganondorf for both size and ethnic background and even calls him slurs. Ganondorf punches him in the face and knocks him out cold for insulting him.
12. Link takes Rinku fishing and teaches her how to fish.
13. Of course, Zelda and Ganondorf will argue from time to time since the rescue from the mountain and wolves. (Yes I am going to have Ganon call Zelda an ‘icy shrew’ during on of the arguments just like in the ATOTR comic) They started to see more eye to eye after Rinku’s rescue from Angelo Bronte.
14. Link accepted the invitation to race Dutch and his horse, The Count and wins. (I always turn that down every time I play RDR2)
15. No selling of the Raven Black Shire Stallion at the Valentine Stable but buying horse provisions. Link got a free horse brush after the stable manager saw how Link takes good care of Epona. (All that’s during the Legendary Grizzly Bear Hunt mission)
16. Link returns to camp with Hosea after the Legendary Grizzly Bear encounter.
17. Link helps Brother Dorkins.
18. There’ll be a lot of horse bonding  (mostly talking to horse and such) between Link x Epona and Ganondorf x Bucephalus.
19. Link and Ganondorf ride out to Shady Belle before the rest of the gang moves in.
20. Ganondorf will respond to the Pinkertons as, “Ali Babba.” (Instead of John saying “Rip Van Winkle”)
21. Absolutely no Mary Litton. Sorry
22. Link and Ganondorf snuffed out the grave robbers for Bronte in exchange for Rinku’s freedom.
23. Link always helps the Wapiti tribe first before doing any other missions other than doing something for Ganondorf, Zelda, or Rinku (say item request missions. For example, a Penny Dreadful comic book for Rinku)
24. Will have cute baby belly bump moments along with family fluff.
25. Mary-Beth will be with Hosea as a diversion during the Saint-Denis bank robbery since Zelda is pregnant and Hosea would not wish any more stress befall her.
26. Rinku was given a Mario doll (Easter Egg) from her time with Angelo Bronte and kept it since her rescue and safe return.
27. The only debt collecting jobs Link has done for Strauss was the Downes family and (post-Guarma)  a man with a pregnant Native American wife.
28. Link helped Beau Gray and Penelope Braithwaite.
29. In the main story, Rinku was 9 (roughly the same age as at the beginning of ATOTR comic) and between 10-11 in the epilogue.

RDR2 | Arthur Morgan x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Howdy, my loves ♥ So this is the start of my Arthur Morgan x Reader story; maybe the first of many, ‘cause oh boy that grumpy lovely outlaw has captured my heart and obviously many or yours with a quick swing of his lasso. I hope you’ll enjoy the prologue.
**UPDATE** 08-31-2021 ; Since I've started re-playing the main story, I've been thinking of this story, and I decided to change the first two chapters and continue on with it! Updates will be uploaded ASAP, starting with the Prologue! I hope y'all still interested. Cheers! (:
Summary: The name ‘Pearl Chesterfield’ sure ain’t yours, however it is the one you give whenever someone asks for it since you’ve learned that not telling your name raises more brows and suspicions than coming up with a fake one. It’s the name you gave Dutch van der Linde before he offered you a place among his gang of outlaws, and you accepted his offer, deciding that being stuck with a new group is safer than running from the old one all by yourself.
Warnings/Info: None for now. HOWEVER, BEWARE OF SPOILERS AHEAD! If you haven’t played the game (which you should btw...), this story will loosely follow the storyline of the game.
Tumblr media
“Aw crap, Pearl, you done did it again!”, Tilly mutters under her breath as she picks up the stones of your last domino game. You snort as you tuck away the few cents you just won into the back pocket of your pants. “Now, don’t let Miss Grimshaw hear you talk like that, Miss Jackson”, you tease, and help her clean up the table. Tilly scoffs with furrowed brows. “Yup, that’s the last thing I need right now; that old hag nagging at me”
“Well, tension is rising every day we spend here on that damn mountain”, you sigh as you rub your hands together, trying to get some feeling back into the tips of your fingers. It has been four days since the gang has stumbled upon Colter, and almost five weeks since you joined the Van Der Linde gang.
“I sure hope the weather clears up soon”, Karen says as she joins you and Tilly. “I heard Dutch say that we’ll try to leave as soon as the first snow melts”
You shiver violently as the door to the small cabin suddenly opens and closes again, letting a fresh freezing breeze sweep through the room once more. Your teeth chatter as you hug the collar of your coat closer around your neck.
“Good mornin’, ladies”
You know all too well to whom that gruff voice belongs to by now, and you turn your head to look up at him with disdain.
Arthur Morgan, withered outlaw and part-time babysitter, is standing behind you, holding up his hands in defense at your disapproving gaze. “Dutch told me to check on ya”, he announces quickly to justify his appearance. “Jesus Pearl, you look at me as if I just robbed a toddler”
“We’re fine, Arthur. Thank you”, Karen assures him, smiling innocently while she and Tilly nudge your foot under the table simultaneously.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if you did, Mister Morgan”, you mock him as he turns to leave, grumbling to himself while shaking his head. The door creaks loudly as he leaves, and your heart is beating hard in your chest as it falls shut.
“Poor fella”, Tilly sighs. You raise your eyebrows at her. “Yes, I mean it, Pearl. He’s just checking on us, y’know. Arthur’s a good man, even if he doesn’t like to admit it”
“Exactly”, Karen chips in again. “You’ve given him a hard time since you’ve joined us, girl, and he’s been nothing but nice to you. What’s with that?” She nudges you again, urging you on to give an answer, but you simply answer with a frown.
“Ladies, leave her be, will ya? We don’t know what type of men she had to deal with before, but we all know how bad they can be. Maybe she just needs more time to adjust. Right?”, Mary-Beth says, stifling a yawn as she offers you support with glint of understanding, and pity in her eyes. “I can’t even take a nap while you girls keep jabbering away without a break”, she chuckles softly and hugs the blanket around her slim shoulders.
“Right, Mary-Beth”, you say as you think of a decent response to get the other girls off your back. “Arthur, he…he’s just – err, I mean, I – ah”, you stutter, and fail to talk your way out of the situation.
Tilly giggles as Karen mimics your pathetic attempt to speak. “Ah, err, uh, uhm” The busty blonde points a finger at you with mischief in her green eyes. “Bull-shit! You don’t act like that around the other guys!”
“Alright!” You abruptly stand up from your seat as you feel a blush of embarrassment creep up your neck, even though your muscles are still aching from the long travel. “I will leave now, ‘cause you two are kinda getting on my nerves”
“Yeah, he’s probably waiting for you anyways” Tilly grins up at you. “outside, in the freezing cold. Lucky for you though you can keep each other warm”
Karen cackles haggishly while Mary-Beth tries to hide her smirk.
Tumblr media
The door creaks and falls shut behind you as you step out of the stuffy cabin, into the stinging cold. You know they will talk behind your back, about you, and Arthur, and what your backstory might be, but you have other things on your mind. Other people, other problems.
You can hear their soft giggles through the door and decide to walk a few steps to clear your head, and as you step away from the cabin, the snow crunches beneath your boots, leaving an obvious trail as you go.
You are greeted by the same sight as for the last few weeks. Ice, and snow, lots of it. Snow-covered grass, snow-covered paths, snow-covered trees, and the occasional icicles here and there. Any other time you’d welcome a sight like this, pristine, raw nature with mountains upon mountains, and unspoiled wilderness. However, since running from Blackwater and getting stuck up here, you couldn’t describe it as anything else but dull, and depressing.
“You should go back inside, Miss Chesterfield”
You suck in a deep breath that burns your lungs before you blink away the snowflakes caught up in your lashes to get a better look at him. Arthur is standing to your left, just outside Dutch’s cabin, with a lit-up cigarette in his ungloved hand.
You stuff your hands deeper into the fur-lined pockets of your coat and decide to walk towards the fellow outlaw. Your heartrate increases again as you gaze into his gloriously greenish-blue eyes; the kind who has seen too much yet still hold a natural curiosity. It could be so much easier to stay away if he’d just stop being so goddamn nice to you, even though you have been nothing but snippy and distant towards him.
Arthur shakes his head, coughing and chuckling slightly at your blatant ignorance of anything he says. “Shoulda figured by now that you wouldn’t listen to me. Maybe I should start telling you the opposite?” He takes another drag of his cigarette and you watch as he blows the smoke through his nose, the corner of your mouth twitches upwards at his teasing statement.
“You could try”, you answer and rub at the frozen tip of your nose.
“Would it work?”
You shrug your shoulders, and another low chuckle makes your stomach twist into nervous knots. He flicks the cigarette butt to the ground and puts his glove back on before looking up at the sky.
“I think it’s clearin’ up”
The wind is still blowing up the powdery snow, making it hard for you to see more than a few feet in every direction. “I hope so”, you mumble, squinting your eyes as you peek at the clouds above.
“Oy! You, lovebirds!”, Pearson shouts from his makeshift kitchen space. “Care to give me a hand here?”
The frown on your face is telling enough while Arthur snorts, apparently unbothered by the new nickname as the two of you walk over to the beer-gutted cook.
“Mr. Pearson, what exactly do you need our assistance for?”, Arthur greets him as you follow close behind.
Pearson gestures around the shed and his makeshift kitchen setup. “We’re running low on supplies, as you can see” He turns to you, and his belly jiggles underneath his thick, navy blue coat. “We need meat, or we ain’t gonna make it any longer up here”
“You want me to go huntin’ out in that weather? After I just risked my life for that halfwit John just yesterday?”, Arthur complains, but Pearson waives him off.
“When I was in the Navy –“
“I – I do not wish to hear what you got up to in the Navy, Mr. Pearson”, Arthur tries to stop him mid-sentence, but Pearson continues with his lecture while you stand aside, listening with amusement. “We were stranded at sea for fifty days –“
“And you unfortunately survived”, Arthur teases, and the cook gives up with a sigh. “When we ran away from Blackwater, I wasn’t able to get supplies in”
You scoff as your gaze lands upon the small crate of liquor in the corner. “At least you were able to grab the essentials”
Arthur nods at you, thanking you for your support while Pearson simply ignores your comment, and the conversation goes on back and forth. “I sent Lenny and Bill hunting and they found nothing.”, Pearson whines, waving the soup ladle around.
“So now you want us to go and try to find something?”
Arthur raises an eyebrow in question as he looks at you. “You mean like, you and me?” He gestures between you two. You nod, but Arthur shakes his head.
“I ain’t gonna risk you freezing to death out there, Pearl, no way”
“What’s that supposed to mean now?”, you huff, suddenly offended by his lack of faith in you and your abilities.
The conversation comes to a sudden end when Charles approaches the shed, walking with purpose despite his injured hand. “Enough of this! We’ll go find something”, he mutters and gestures for Arthur to follow him.
“Come on, Arthur”
You don’t protest and leave the shed along with the two men.
“Don’t worry, we will be back soon”, Charles tells you as you walk past while they mount their horses. You peek over your shoulder at the dark-skinned man, eyebrow arched after his comment. Charles is still one, if not the hardest gang member to read.
“Just be careful”, you mutter under your breath as you walk back towards the girl’s cabin.
“Well, that was fast”, Karen snickers as soon as you enter the cabin. “I mean, we all know Arthur is a quick shot, but that? That’s almost impressive”
“Oh, shush now, Karen Jones”, Mary-Beth scolds her friend, and it looks like she means it. Still, you roll your eyes as you take up your seat from before.
“You know we’re just messing with you, right?” Tilly offers you a warm smile as she shuffles the deck of cards in her hands.
“Yeah, it’s just cheap jokes and us talking bullshit. You know we don’t have much to talk about up here” Karen pats your hand and winks at you before picking up the cards Tilly dealt. “Are you up for poker?”
You look at the three girls, your new friends, for now at least, and click your tongue in surrender.
“Sure”
You knew Arthur Morgan would mean trouble for you soon as you laid eyes on him for the first time after joining the gang. A rugged, grumpy, and outrageously attractive outlaw with a heart of gold? It was like shooting a sitting duck, you just didn’t think it was that obvious to everyone else up until now. Nevertheless, there is no time for love and such affairs in your life. You cannot quite afford to be distracted like that, you’re still on the run after all, and it’s not because of Blackwater.
As of right now, you can already feel your past catching up to you.
