Centaurworld really is the show ever. Two worlds, one is sharp and serious, one is bubbly and cartoony. An epic quest. Orphans of war. There’s singing. They gave a horse depression and an identity crisis. An elk will make you cry. Kimiko Glenn is there.

Don’t get me wrong I KNOW it’s an adaptation not a translation & certain things have to change to work in TV…..but I fear we’re starting to cross the line into too much changing…..

Adding the gods where unnecessary is going to back the show into corners down the line…..the impact of Hephaestus in Battle of the Labyrinth loses its punch when you introduce him 3 seasons too early. Hermes at the Lotus Casino isn’t necessary, and just feels like a cheap way to get a Lin Manuel Miranda cameo in where unneeded. Ares ‘slipping up in front of Grover’ potentially ruins what was supposed to be a fantastic plot-twist later….

I’m not saying you can’t change things for the screen but god it’s a careful line you gotta walk. Major plot points shouldn’t be messed with & it feels like we’re getting a little too close for my liking

#also yes. I’m bitter that we didn’t get the empty-pool metal spider trap instead of that stupid chair #rip #maybe I’ll like it more next rewatch but I’m getting a lil concerned. & I do like this show but…#pjo #percy jackson #pjo tv show

i hate that old nickelodeon shows are borderline unrewatchable because you now realize how many inappropriate and weird things were put into them by dan schneider. it genuinely makes me so angry that he was allowed to be in charge of writing the scripts for kids shows and no one stopped him from adding in sexual jokes and scenes. and now the shows are ruined and permanently uncomfortable to watch because you know why those scenes are there. i hate it.
