As an American of Chinese descent, I really do appreciate it when Hasan speaks out against sinophobia. It seems so basic, but trust me, it is worth appreciating because of how prevelant sinophobia is. I'm also subbed to Yes Theory now ^_^
There is a fascinating YouTube channel called “Yes Theory” – it’s a group of people who challenge themselves (and others) to step out of their comfort zone and make themselves do something that they never thought they’d ever do.
The most recent episode I watched was when two people switched lives for 72 hours – one from Austin Texas and one from Stockholm Sweden. They each went to the other’s…
So new update lets you set as many lock screens + Home Screens now… so I played around with it. Plus widgets I already had long time now about year? Ish?? All from google 💜.
I have my original, lgbtq+ one, earth / galaxy one, seekers aka favorite YouTubers (right after Connor Franta 🤫), Supernatural one, and Slytherin one. .. 💙
Might do more haha these are so fun. Has anyone else did it? What does yours look like? 💓
The whole phrase seeking discomfort is a truly odd one. I mean why would anyone want to do that I asked myself. Then I returned to watching episodes of a group called yes theory and I finally got it. Seeking discomfort is a way to gain more life’s experiences and to ultimately live your best life.
So I been trying to live my life according to this idea. In situations I normally would say no I…
Guys, its not some fucking “bad luck devil” or whatever. It’s clearly this fucking time gargler or whatever the fuck that’s behind all this nonsense. Aguefort literally lays it out for us that the quangle makes things happen out of order. Things like, say…Zelda and Gorgug being broken up even though we know from the Seven that they’re still together in Junior year, or Aelwyn suddenly moving out and going from a snarky 19 year old whose never had a job or gone to college to a middle school teacher with 5 cats in the course of 3 months, or the sophomore album being 10 months late even though Fig only finished her debut a little over 16 months ago AND they were in the middle of the tour, or Hallariel and Gilear getting engaged after like a year when 3 months ago Gilear wasn’t even allowed to sleep in her bed, and Sklonda defending one of the organizers of this folk festival when the festival hasn’t even happened yet, or Figs birthday suddenly moving from Christmas to July.
to clarify something chuck said in post about being PRO FAN FICTION, some buds have asked if i misspoke when i said ‘fan fiction is part of the original art’. i did not misspeak. i really truly believe this.
if i write a story and you read it an this moves you to paint a picture of snabe and harriet porber, that WHOLE EXPERIENCE FROM ME TO YOU is its own mixed media piece. the medium is motion (getting up and getting the paints) visual (painting) literary (reading the book in first place and then writing your own commentary when you post about it later). it is drama and performance. it is meditation. it is dance in its own way.
i very much mean this: art does not begin and end on the canvas or the page. it is what you had for breakfast the morning you wrote those words, or the story that stuck in your head after watching a show the night before. art is the buckaroo who was moved to pen a whole five page romance story about your characters having a kind picnic in the part.
we are here to create as we push back against the blank empty void, and we prove love is real every time we fill this blank space with little pieces of us. i will not stand in the way of that, and it is an honor to fill this space with this web of inspiration from one bud to the next. ALL OF THIS TIMELINE is a piece and we are one big writers room. there is no shame in this and it is a group project i am proud to be a part of.
I got a new game. Want to play? Reblog or comment with your answer. Once you are done, scan the QR code on the gold card and pick an adventure. Ideally, you are supposed to have the adventure with the people you play the game with, but I think it’s fine to just get some ideas for fun things to do with your local pals. Let’s Spark!
So, I recently had to say goodbye to my elderly doggie and soulmate, Lulu. When she was a puppy, we joined a play group for Great Danes that we found on Facebook, where everyone would meet up at local dog parks. At the time, I had been working at home for a few years and was fairly reclusive and socially shy. Across the field, I heard this really cool gal talking about the best places in Portland to go to happy hour. It took me several doggy play sessions to work up the nerve to talk to her, and eventually I introduced myself and we set up a friend date for us and our dogs at a pet friendly bar called the Lucky Lab. 11 years later, she is still one of my very best friends. Her extreme extroverted energy and zest for adventure completely changed my life and made me so much braver socially. Our dogs all grew up and old together. Lulu was the last of the pack to cross the Rainbow Bridge because Danes are incredible but just don’t last long enough. Losing her has been the hardest thing I’ve ever been through, but I’m surrounded by a group of close friends who love me and have been through the same pain, and there is something really beautiful about that. All because I asked a cool girl out for a drink.
I watch a lot of videos on YouTube about travel. I am getting my inspiration for my future travels from these videos.
I have noticed that some of the channels focus on airlines, some focus on adventures in the countries, and a lot of them talk about how to get cheap meals (go out of the tourist area – I learned that when I first started traveling!).
But what I’ve noticed a lot lately that many…
