After Phantom was massively injured by one of the GIWs weapons he's taken to the Far Frozen for medical treatment. Unfortunately, Danny has to stay on bedrest in the zone for a month (how's he going to explain that to his teachers?!) and can't defend his town anymore.

The yetis admire Phantoms dedication and offer to go in his place. Danny, seeing few other options, accept.

As it turns out, many of the Yetis were very upset by how this child was treated and wanted revenge on his behalf. They made sure anyone who tried to attack them, the town, or the people were beaten to a pulp.

The Fentons are still grumbling about ghosts from thier full body casts and like 70% of the GIW retired within a week.

okay, so, I don't know if thus has been said before but the reason why there are only yetis and dragons and such in the infinite realms is probably because their whole species died/got killed and that's the reason they only exist in the ghost zone-

I just thought of that and now I am slightly sad at the image of them having specific days that they mourn the erasure their species

Which of the characters that act as minions were your favorite in the rotg movie? Which of their designs were your favorite? Which did you think were the most useful? Which did you think had the toughest task(s) to perform for their respective bosses? Which of them are you most curious about, in regards to their origins, if they have freewill, what they do beyond their duties, where they reside in their respective realms, and their connection to who they serve?

So Anon, the answer to nearly all of your questions is: the yeti.

The only one that goes another way is design. The nightmares are absolutely gorgeous, hands down. Everyone who can draw them loves to draw them. They're beautiful. They win.

But the yeti are so useful, they functionally run the workshop without North's input. Doing Santa's job without Santa also qualifies as the toughest task. They're not just collecting things or hiding themselves, they have to build electronic equipment, product test, then manufacture sufficient product for world-wide delivery. That's some shit.

That said, the yeti need to unionize. What do they do in their free time? Do they even have free time? Does North give them snow globes so they can leave their workplace occasionally? Everyone I know who has ever worked in a place secluded by ice and snow has wanted nothing more than to leave that place when the job was done. People's concept of a good idea changes drastically when they are that bored and stuck with the same people for that long. The elves are already victims of imprudence and ill advised ventures, but the yeti have fully functioning heads on their shoulders and should want to do things like write memoires and underwater basket weave.

I can't say that we think too hard about any of their origins. As life-long fanfic enthusiasts, we would write their origins 100 different ways if it fit 100 different plot purposes. We think it's an interesting thing for fans to explore through fic, but having a canon answer isn't that important to us. Their connection to North, Tooth, and Bunny falls in that same bucket. The nightmares, of course, have their origin story in canon.

We don't often get to wax poetic about the yeti we like so much, so thank you, Anon, for giving us an excuse 😂

so i used to go on month long treks in the Himalayas as a teen and i'm pretty sure a yeti tried to join us for dinner at our campsite once. my friend was watching the fire while some of us were out picking some twigs to throw into it (log bros before it was cool heh). us twig pickers heard rustles in the bushes and saw horn scratch marks on trees near us and the fire dude swears he saw a big fuzzy bear-like thing try to steal the pot we used to cook maggi noodles.

the next morning, when we were clearing camp, we also found tufts of white fur lying around near the washed cooking pot. i didnt go to pee for over 12 hours because fuck that man i'm not going into a bush when there are loose yetis roaming around
