Okay but imagine Single Dad Namor :

. After his 2 previous wives are out of his life one way or another, Namor took up the responsibility to take care of his 3 kids

. Stresses on their education and upbringing, and spends as much time as possible with them, etc

. Okay you know what in my MCU fics the one kid who ended up dead in Marvel Comics hasn't died ( yet )

. Likes to face paint with them on the reg

. Sings lullabies to them regularly

. Hell bent on protecting his kids especially all that happened

. His 3 kids defo ship him and Shuri after hearing how he simps over Shuri from some of the Talokanil court officials

. Namor one day proudly introduced his children to Shuri and she INSTANTLY IS ENDEARED BY THEM

. Those 3 are at first a little wary of her at first ( cuz of the whole Talokanil Wakandan war thing ), yet they soon warm up to her. Bless.

. Those 3 becomes unlikely friends/associates with T'Challa II

. It seems that those young kids don't really know the brevity of the Talokanil Wakanda War or the uneasy alliance that followed yet. They are still so young at those points

. Yet upon seeing that unlikely friendship between those kids, the Wakandans and Talokanils are encouraged to boost their initially uneasy alliance even more.

Perfect Marriage Revenge Webtoon & K-Drama

Well, I finished watching the Korean drama adaptation of the webtoon and I needed to post my thoughts. I liked both, the webtoon and the kdrama series. The webtoon was longer so it took its sweet time to develop the relationship between Ji Yoo and Do Gul. The kdrama was short (12 episodes long) so they took some liberties with the story, still I liked how they managed it. I also like the fact that the series was able to give us more information about Ji Yoo's father and grandfather at the end. They were part of her life, they had their closure with the past as well. The drama changed the accident scene, instead of three people coming back, there were only two. I would have liked it to be three of them, but since they changed Jae Won's storyline in the drama I guess it worked best that way. In fact, I like the changes they made in his storyline. In the end, he gets his father back.

In both I loved how the relationship between Do Guk and Ji Yoo grows and I like that Yoo Ra and her mother get what they deserve; and Jung Wook as well.

I loved both, the webtoon and the drama.

Got misty eyed at the end of BPWF. The inclusion of Haiti was...significant for a Disney movie. I'm curious about how much influence the CIA had during production(seriously). I plan on watching in theaters three more times. The movie had heart. Loved the women and Riri's a great addition.

On one hand, it’s a marvel that he would know the custom, infamous across shopping malls and department stores all over America. On the other, it’s a veiled offer she cannot resist. So in her own way she turns up on his lap, taking up so very little space, and carefully winds her arms around his neck, despite the clear shyness. She has long considered him a dear friend, one she would and has dropped everything else to support. Her voice is warm with that almost obvious affection and respect she holds for him. “And if I say dis, here, is enough a gift? What den?”

Listen...knowing Ryan Coogler if he has his hands on any future Black Panther films (which he almost certainly will) there will come a time where Shuri will yell "Líik'ik Talokan!" and Namor will yell "Yibambe or Wakanda Forver!" symbolizing their joined alliance, right before their conjoined armies go into Battle and kick colonizer ass. IDK how I'm gonna handle it when that glorious moment happens.

It works even if the two aren't romantic (though I hope so). Ryan Coogler really put his whole foot into creating the best version of Shuri and Namor, didn't he? Marvel better have his ass on speed dial.

I’m glad we’re all on the same page and know where this alliance should be headed, a cry of ecstasy i mean war. and again most of us are alright if it doesnt end up being romantic but we all secretly want those longing gazes and secret glances. im sure ryan will write something wonderful regardless!

After this post, I started to think: What would a “Talokan/Wakanda vs Common Enemy” playlist be like? What songs would come to mind during their glorious battle? Then this sprouted:

The day is finally upon them. Everyone has prepared for this very moment. Namor and Shuri stand firm, front and center, leading their army of Talokanil muscle, the Dora Milaje, the Jabari Tribe [with every Wakandan tribe], Bucky Barnes, and fellow allies who all stand in formation. This means war. There’s no going back. Namor flys high above, roaring his battle cry “Líik’ik Talokan!”. He raises his spear towards their enemy in the distance. Shuri looks forward and chants “Yibambe!”. Their people chant and follow suit. Namor and Shuri make brief eye contact with one another as he nods, an unspoken “ready when you are, Black Panther”. She nods, then stares back at their target. Shuri raises her arm, gives the official signal and snarls as she charges forward full speed ahead:

The scales of war begin to tilt less in their favor. What sick game is the universe playing now? Shuri puts pressure on her wound while she scans the battlefield, helplessly witnessing a massacre of her people. Talokanil and Wakandan men and women fall one by one at the hands of their rival. She stumbles over to a Talokanil warrior bleeding to death and urges her to “Get up! Please! This is no place for a soldier to die!” She cradles the woman while she slowly withers away, crying out for “K'uk'ulkan” one last time. Namor frantically surveys the terrain while he soars overhead, looking for Shuri in the carnage. He finally spots her, grateful she is alive. She stares up at him while tears stream down her face, silently questioning to herself, “have our gods abandoned us, my Ch'ah Toh?”:

Namor lands hard, digging up earth as he tosses his spear aside and slides towards Shuri in a panic. He scans her body for signs of serious injury. Her emotions are indecipherable while he looks her over. She winces as he moves her. “I’m okay, I’m fine..I…I promise. Just check on the others.” “I can’t just leave you here Shuri!” Namor yells, furious at her stubbornness and selfless heart. She’s too tired to argue and takes in tiny sharp breaths at a time. Rage begins to fuel Namor, his disdain for the surface world coursing through his veins. He starts dissociating and breathing hard. He only hears his pulse through his ears, the environment growing quiet. He slowly stands up, with his wounds going numb. Shock takes over his system, bringing him into fight or flight mode. Perfect. Namor grabs his spear, wipes away his enemies’ bloodshed painted across his face and chest. It wasn’t personal before, but now it is. Namor shoots up and shouts across the skies “Líik’ik Talokan! We will be victorious, or die trying!” and rallies the remainder of his men and women as he storms forward, pupils blown. He smirks, with only murder on his mind:

Wakanda and Talokan eventually reign victorious, marking their first triumph together as a joint force. The fallen are laid to rest back in their respective homelands. Their alliance truly feels like a gift. Something orchestrated by a higher power. Fast forward: Shuri is seen in one of her labs, speaking with Griot and tinkering with her latest invention that will help strengthen her people and Talokan’s defenses. She feels her mother and brother’s presence in the room with her and it brings Shuri comfort. She giggles, imagining them peering over her shoulder while making jokes and remarks. A hand touches her shoulder and she jumps, turning around to find Namor. He grabs both of her arms and brings her in, closing the gap between them. They rest their foreheads together like the last piece of a puzzle and breath each other in. “I almost lost you once. I can’t risk that again, Princess, especially when the stakes are much greater now.” Namor caresses Shuri’s stomach over her lab coat. She places her hand over his. They both exhale:

I think the people who criticised shuri for becoming a black panther severely misunderstood the point of it. They say all the things about her not being buff enough (lets be real yall mad she aint curvy enough for yall to wank to) her "yibambe" isnt powerful enough or "t'challa would have bodied namor". The thing is, shuri was never meant to become a black panther (at least not this early) she didnt want to become one. She tried to fill the void "black panther" left behind by burying herself in technology, building enhancement suits for others, improve defences etc. She didnt know how to protect others the way black panther did, the way her brother and her dad did, so she tried to go round about and find an alternative, a way that she knew she can do. But in the end all her efforts werent enough, she failed to protect wakanda, she couldnt be there for her mother when things went down. It was then when she's at her lowest that she truly turns back to the heart shaped herb. U have to understand, when she did that she already had NO OTHER OPTIONS ANYMORE. The black panther mantle was, in a way, forced upon her, because all her families are gone now, because technology wasnt enough, because she was alone. And the thing about her taking the herb is, she ran to the ancestral plane desperately thinking maybe she could see her families again, maybe it can help her get her revenge. Even when she became a black panther it wasnt out of duty or desire, it was out of desperation and thirst for vengeance. So no, shuri becoming black panther wasnt unreasonable, it was what is inevitable in the most heartbreaking way possible
