Oh yes, definitely! I'm a big fan of awkward, sitcom style co-parenting dynamics, and I enjoy Jeff's character in the show. So I plan to do some really interesting and maybe unconventional (I think, as far as YJs fic and JackieShauna fic in general) things with him in the coming chapters.

How do you think Ritchie would be recruited into Young Justice? Would his backstory be the same as in Shock?

Hmm, well, I guess I can tell you all what I plan to do when I get around to that part in my YJ fics since it's technically not a spoiler so much as a plot point.

In my YJ fics, instead of Vergil being captured off the streets to be experimented on, it's Richie since he had actually ran away from his rather 'toxic' home (ie He couldn't take his father's rather blatant racism [it's canon] anymore) and has been living on the streets for a few months. Vergil doesn't realise that his best friend has been living on the streets until he visits Foley's residence to check up on Richie, who has been absent from school w/o notice for a week and hasn't been replying to any calls or texts. Meeting Richie's dad makes the teenager understand why the blonde avoided inviting him over or made up some kind of excuse as to when he couldn't come over. Talking to Richie's mother was a lot more pleasant by comparison, which is how Vergil learns that Richie ran away from home. The lack of concern from Richie's father about his missing son was more than confusing and concerning to Vergil. Same with Richie's mother until she told him that she assumed that her son was staying with him. When Virgil tells her that Richie wasn't 'crashing with him until things blew over' or the fact that he didn't know that his best friend ran away from home, it causes her to become more panicky and rushes to call the police to report her son officially missing.

After talking to his own father about Richie's home situation, Robert Hawkins explains that not everyone has a 'good' homelife or 'understanding' parents and that Richie chose not to be like his dad by keeping his mind open to others rather than closing it off. Vergil then asks his father the question of him being a bad friend for not noticing that Richie wasn't living with his parents, to which Robert tells his son that he was a good friend. The father explains to his son that he was worried about his friend Before he knew about his home life and is still worried about his now missing friend.

Still feeling guilty, Vergil goes out to find Richie on his own accord, despite the warning from the police. He gets into a situation that causes him to get severely electrocuted thus activating his Meta-Gene to save his life (I already have this planned, but I want that to be a surprise for the readers). Now that he has electric superpowers, Vergil immediately picks up the pace of his search for his best friend, even though he's still learning to control his powers along the way.

During Vergil's search, he runs into the Young Justice Team, all of whom thought the newly powered teen was being a self-made vigilante. After a fight and a talk-down, Vergil explains what he was doing and that he was still trying to control his new powers along the way. While the team do admire the teen for his determination and willingness to find his missing friend, they did have concerns about the fact that Vergil didn't have complete control over his powers (which was causing a lot of unintentional havoc and damage).

After a nice little agreement, the Young Justice Team takes over the Missing Person's Case while Vergil trains under Black Lightning to get the hang of his new powers. Over the next few days, the Missing Person's Case quickly becomes a Missing People Mission.

Some plot happens, and then Vergil and Richie are reunited and officially join the Young Justice Team as Static and Gear.

Lawrence didn't meet Paula.

Paula isn't a villain, she was more like Canary used to be. She also isn't in a wheelchair, works with Oliver and Dinah.

Giovanni isn't magic, the rest of his family is but it skipped him, so he took his mother's maiden name of Russo, but his family loves him anyway.

He gained the powers of Superman, due to a time travel spell the League used to go back in time to stop Lex Luther from taking over the world in the past and Superman's powers were copied onto him via a duplication ray (like Streaky from Krypto the Superdog) thus he gained Superman's powers. He goes by the name Superstar, making him the first "Kryptonian" on earth to have superpowers at the time because Clark in the past had yet to use his powers to be a hero after the League stopped Lex's plans and erased the memories of those present of the events that occured.

Anyway, Paula and Giovanni met and married. They had a daughter and a son, two years apart from each other. Their kids are Supers, but Paula is teaching them how to defend themselves should they lose their powers.

Giovanni meets Clark, and the two talk. Clark knows who Giovanni is, how could he not because of the power transfer, and they form a friendship. Clark eventually becomes Uncle Clark to the Super kids. Paula talks with Oliver and Dinah regularly, they too become aunt and uncle to the Supers. Their kids meet Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad and Speedy/Red Arrow.

When Superboy/Conner is rescued from Cadmus, the Supers beg their parents to keep him. They agree, especially with Clark's hesitance. Giovanni and Clark talk about it, Clark saying he isn't Conner's dad and Giovanni saying he doesn't have to be. A family is more than a father and son, it could be an older brother and a younger one, an uncle and nephew, any combination of familial elements.

Clark agrees to that, before awkwardly asking if he could meet with Conner, get to know him. After a while of them getting to know each other, the two say that they are brothers and thank the Russo family.

The Ghost King's Son

So! Cloning is a difficult process.

It takes time, lots of time. Sure, it's possible to accelerate the Growth of a Clone to make them older in a shorter time frame, but that often leads to Destabilization within weeks of completion.

And Cadmus didn't want to take any chances when designing their Kryptonian/Human Hybrid. They started growing him much earlier than they originally did, and let him grow at a semi-normal rate for most of his life.

This comes back to bite them in the butt however, when an asset breaks out of containment and ruins their Internal Power Generators. This causes a blackout that takes hours to resolve, and by the time they fix it all and reestablish the Security Systems, they notice one of the Clones is missing.

The Kryptonian/Human Clone has escaped.

Kr-1 is confused. He had woken up in a tube a few hours ago to some alarms, and decided he didn't like it, so he broke out. Then he wandered around until he ended up outside, and just kept on Wandering.

It had been hours, and he didn't know where he was. It seemed to be some type of Forest, but he didn't know what kind.

He just kept on wandering. It started to get boring though, the trees all looked the same and there weren't even any animals around. Then, something interesting happened!

A green thing appeared in the air! It was glowing and swirly and had a kind of pull to it. So, he touched it. And it sucked him in. And now he wasn't in the Forest. And this place seemed much more interesting!

There were a bunch of floating rocks, and the sky was green, and everything else was purple.

And there was a man. Looking at him hurt his eyes, he seemed to be a kid and then an man and then an old man and then a kid again whenever he blinked. He was saying something, but Kr-1 didn't understand him. He didn't think he had been taught language yet? What was language?

The Kid/Man/Old-Man lead him to a big building made of bricks and mortar. It looked like a big spiky building with towers and walls and stuff. Inside it looked cool, with candles and carpets and even more stuff.

He was taken to a room with a guy who didn't hurt his eyes to look at. He had white hair and green eyes, but his skin wasn't blue like the old guy. He had a piece of ice on his head, it looked like a crown but it was glowing.

The Guy walked up to him and pointed to himself, and kept repeating something. "Danny".

Eventually Kr-1 realized that it was his name. He then pointed to Him and said "name?"

He tilted his head confused, and the guy, Danny, let his head fall with a sigh.

"This is gonna be harder than I thought."

He wondered what those words mean?

It had been a few years since the newly dubbed Conner had begun to live with Danny.

He had been hesitant to adopt the Living 9 yr old Child when Clockwork had brought him to his Castle, explaining that he had run into a Natural Portal, but he had accepted in the end.

It took a while to teach Conner how to understand Language. He seemed to know very little for a kid his age, but after Clockwork had dug around his personal timeline they figured out that he was a Clone. He probably hadn't reached the Information Planting Stage of development when he escaped.

After learning about this however, Danny began teaching him everything he should have learned in his early life, such as Elementary level education and some social interaction. He even brought around Ellie to see if she had any advice for helping him develop into a healthy young boy.

She did help a bit, but was mostly preoccupied with spoiling her new Nephew rotten.

Eventually, Conner had caught up to the level he should have been at his age, and started living in both the Realms and in Amity.

He was having a good life, had some great friends, and was even starting to learn to use his Kryptonian Powers now that they were coming in.

He loves his new Family, his Dad is goofy and fun, his Aunt Ellie likes to spoil him rotten, his Aunt Jazz is the responsible one but still loves him, and even his grandparents are great in their own Insane way.

But not all great things can last.

It was supposed to be a normal Field Trip. Conner was 15 and his school was taking a Trip to Washington DC, to see the sights or to learn about history or something.

But stuff happens. They just so happen to pass by a certain lab, that lab just so happens to be testing out a new Yellow Sun Energy Detector, and one of the Scientists who worked on Conner just so happens to see him in the bus as it passes by and the detector goes off.

In the end, they manage to recapture him and place him back into his Pod, beginning to prep him for Reeducation. (Let's say they mamage to repress his memories)

Cut to 1 year later and a team of Sidekicks break into the Lab and successfully steal away the Clone again.

The Clone who knows he had a dad who had black hair and blue eyes, who helped him use his powers, who looks a lot like Superman.

Conner, in his slightly Amnesiac state thinks he has already met Superman and that he had raised him. Which makes it so much more hurtful when Superman outright rejects him. He thinks his Dad just rejected him, the Dad who he thinks he remembers loving him very much.

(Danny had been frantically looking for his son for over a year now. Where is he? Is he Okay? What happened to him? He knows at least that he isn't dead yet, but he really wants to find his son)

Lately @threewaysdivided 's OlderBrotherDanny!AU has been occupying the majority of my brain space so I've just had to draw a few somethings for it 🥰🥰

We've been volleying ideas and headcanons back and forth about this AU and we've come to a consensus about a few significant features:

With the exception of his eyes and nose, Danny is the spitting-image of John Grayson while Dick has mostly inherited Mary's facial features

Danny and John share the Grayson family tradition of Big Bushy Brows™️

Since 3WD and I are big fans of the Danny-Has-Very-Light-Blue-Eyes train, @threewaysdivided has come up with an awesome headcanon that Danny's unusual light eye color is a weird recessive trait that pops up every few generations in the Grayson family

The reason that Danny was adopted out at birth is that he was born premature and with congenital defects that would have made it unsafe for him to be part of the troupe, least of all a traveling circus

I have to say, drawing baby Danny with his little messy mohawk has given me a lot more joy than I expected it to, I can't stop looking at it 🥺 I love looking at Brother!AUs, they never fail to make me reach for the Kleenex.

anyway she eventually coughs up her name, or a name, Allura - "why that name?" "do you want a name close to his? no? stick to it then." "and zatanna says I have a temper.."

when Allura asks who is zatanna, giovanni is flabbergasted and says he'll introduce his family to her once this meeting is over

so yea, after the meeting, Allura is introduced to Sindella and Zatanna. Sindella, thus Zatanna too, figures out Allura is a dimension hopper. and then discovers her husband is one too - him saying he'll explain after they send Allura home

after a few days of gathering "ingredients" and reading, as well as Zatanna taking her "aunt" around new york, allura is sent home

giovanni explains it was an accident.. he was trying to stop Lord Inferno, another dimension hopper, and was blamed by that world's order for the death of a hidden village due to the fallout of the battle. they gave him a choice: get sent to another world or be consumed by order - he chose to leave. his life had been stitched into this world, from memories of him in the minds of others to a paper trail about himself.. (before the destruction of that world - he grieved and fell into a state of depression because that world had been his home) which is why he left Italy in the guise of wanting a new life for himself in America, as a wildcard in the world his fate was not predetermined so he could forge his own destiny

did his host family know? perhaps, because the matriarch had the eyes of the Lion and no one said anything so the sewing job probably missed a few stitches.. ouch..

but yeah, Zatanna is of two dimensions thanks to her parents

and this is why Sindella's family (Order) put a "cap" on his magic when he was passed off to them - he agreed on it - and limited what he could do as to not tempt him to distort the fabric of the world any further in his teaching of zatanna
