there's a way some people will talk about sex averse/repulsed asexuals where like. they won't say they think sex averse people are childish or selfish just have hang ups or are inherently conservative, and they probably don't think they think that, but when they talk about sex aversion they sound like they're talking about spoilsports who want to ruin everyone else's fun. "you don't have to have sex with anyone, but sex is really important to a lot of people, so you have to accept that lots of people will be upset or break up with you or write you off from the start. you don't have to talk about sex, but you can't ask people not to bring it up around you because that's implicitly shaming them. you don't have to watch sex scenes, but if you ever state that preference then you have to make it abundantly explicitly clear that it's just a personal thing and not an ethical objection because if you say 'I don't like sex scenes' you sound sex negative." just the constant undercurrent assumption that it is always solely the responsibility of the non-normative people to quietly stay away from the parts of the world that weren't built with them in mind with no acknowledgment or compassion for the fact that, even when that's necessary, it's still really tiring to always have to do all the legwork yourself.

Sometimes I forget, with all the big issues in my life, that the little issues make a big difference too. I get so distracted and overwhelmed because usually, I can't do anything about the big issues. But one of the reasons I'm so overwhelmed is usually because I also have to deal with all those little issues and I'm fighting to ignore that discomfort.

But when I focus more on making a difference with the little things, I feel like I'm much more in focus and living my life despite it all. Those little things pile up and even if it seems like such a small thing to change/address/ect, it's still me trying to change things in my life for the better and reminding myself there ARE things I can fix.

So for the rest of y'all, if you're feeling overwhelmed or stuck on an issue you can't seem to fix, try to eliminate or work on some of the smaller problems you deal with.

Clear your plate a little. Maybe you're just giving yourself a little more room to breathe, maybe you're doing that and giving yourself a new perspective on it all. Just like little joys matter, little annoyances do too; be aware of them.

ok not to state the obvious but I’m so, so glad they didn’t kill Willie while they were god. they chose love. this season has been about being torn between two things (two worlds, love or hate… etc) and to me, it’s perfect that it started with love and it ended with love. Dude was saved with love. Terry Jr was brought back because of love. He got to see his daughter again. and willie died because he prioritized hate and power over connection and love (COUGH scary arc). anyways. yeah. narrative arcs go hard
