#8 for the 40 Questions — Meme for Fic Writers 😊
8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.
I kinda like this part of I will always hold you close but I will learn to let you go:
She’s talking one night, informing him of the things he’s missed during the day while trapped in his room. He’s walking about the chamber unaided for the first time since his injury, and she’s trying to pretend she isn’t as proud as she is. He still limps, and she worries about the scar on his side pulling too much. She sometimes remembers too sharply the sensation of his blood flowing past her fingers. But she keeps her hand on Oathkeeper to prevent herself from reaching out to help.
“Tormund,” he says suddenly, looking at her. She blinks and thinks back to what she just said.
“Yes, he’s come back to wait for Jon. He’s been helping me train the new recruits. He’s not a bad fighter. Undisciplined. Truly, I’m surprised he’s survived this long. But he has a raw strength that…”
“Raw strength, really?” Jaime asks. Affronted, like she has insulted him. “And you like that?”
“Like it?” she asks. “It’s useful, I suppose? I’m sorry. What exactly are we talking about?”
“Tormund’s raw power, apparently,” Jaime mutters. His voice always gets very clipped, his words bitten off, when he’s annoyed about something but trying to pretend he isn’t. She wonders if he realizes that. She rolls her eyes and starts to continue her story, but he cuts her off, turning to face her suddenly, his stump pressed against the wall for balance. “I said something, didn’t I? I said something, and it upset you.”
Something about it really flowed for me? And I can almost HEAR them delivering these lines, which is always the dialog I’m proudest of! Plus I’ve very rarely written Jaime Jealous of Tormund, and I like the way this part came out!

Top 5 caryl moments? If someone hasn't asked already 😊
this is so hard and will look totally different after tomorrow omg help
when daryl felt comfortable enough around carol to offer her a massage the night before they went into the prison and carol felt comfortable enough to joke and feel happy with him
when daryl asked her is she was okay in “the same boat” and she couldn’t lie, not to him, and said “no” and he said “come here” in his soft voice and hugged her close
when he crashed into her after a little jog in the forrest at terminus and held her close for the longest time and when they parted they smiled at each other and their eyes were glossy and then he did the cute headbut thing
when carol went to his cell after he came back to the prison with merle and told him she was glad he was back and he gave her this cute smile and they were so precious and happy
the whole episodes that are consumed and strangers because they are so so amazing and strangers is weirdly underrated anyways
ask me my top 5 anything (or let’s talk caryl if you’re into that because i will die tomorrow)

What's the last thing you ate? lol... I'm eating a cookie & that's the first thing that came to mind
It’s funny you asked because I was just thinking about what I wanted to do for lunch, haha. The last thing I ate was a heart confetti cake pop from Starbucks. (I was stoked that they still had them!)

What's your favorite season of the year?? 🙊
For me, it's always a toss up between Spring and Fall. Right now, everything is green and lively and wildflowers are covering the hillsides. The sun is finally out after hiding for much of Winter and it's not too hot out yet. There is still a lot of light left after work to enjoy being outside in nature.
But ask me again in late Fall when the days are crisp and cool. And the colors of the leaves make the landscape pop. When sweaters become more necessary to keep away the chill. And the rains return. Oh, the rain! Something just settles in my body listening to the fall of rain. Soothes my sunburned soul.
So yeah...hard to choose.

50 & 54 😊
50: What made you laugh the hardest you ever have?
god this is tough to remember of the top of my head. I think I’ll have to go with the time I saw Zombieland in theaters. It was like opening night, so no one knew anything about the cameo, and at the part where the cameo character gets shot out of nowhere, the entire theater absolutely LOST it. This was a giant packed theater in downtown Boston, so an already-funny moment got turned into an absolute riot. No one could hear any dialogue for the next 15 minutes, because we’d start to slow down and then someone would laugh loudly again and we’d all collectively lose it once more. It was easily the best theater-going experience I’ve ever had in my life!
54: What did you learn from your first job?
Oh god. So many things. I worked in a concert venue parking lot, so mainly I learned that the customer is always wrong, and that’s a much nicer lesson to learn than in retail. We were allowed to tell people no. We were actually ENCOURAGED to tell people no, because it was free parking and we couldn’t accommodate everyone’s requests, so I learned the value of telling people “no” firmly and without question. I learned that I am actually a lot tougher than I think I am! I learned that Jimmy Buffet fans are entitled pricks, and that metal fans are the nicest people in the world and WILL give you cheeseburgers if they’re cooking next to you. I also learned a deep and abiding hatred of country music because their shows always involved a lot of alcohol poisoning and vomit and just overall rudeness, and I have not yet recovered.

28. Character you’d hope to be like during the apocalypse
28. Character you’d hope to be like during the apocalypse
overall - glenn rhee. he never lost his hope in humanity and that good things in life still happen. he always protected his family and was incredibly capable of doing so. he had leadership qualities, but worked great in teams as well. he was such a ray of sunshine and a good friend to everyone. if i could be half as good as glenn i’d be happy.

Nirvana, David Bowie & The Ramones :)
NIRVANA: Are you an artistic/creative person?
I think yes! I write, roleplay (or do collaborative writing), and draw a bit. Not the best in skill but I love making new settings and world. Tbh, I wish to get back to roleplaying again but *shrugs*
DAVID BOWIE: Are you a follower or a leader?
In between(?) I can be a leader if I have to but most of the time I’m just “whatever” and follows around. Also, most of the time I prefer to work alone and see myself as my own leader.
THE RAMONES: Do you have any pets?
Yes! A beautiful Dobermann named Dominique. I got her when I was watching AHS season 2, so her name came from the said song from the series lmao.
