May I request Gojo's s/o giving him healthy desserts (yogurt parfait) in place of snacks and desserts high in sugar because she worries for his health?
Tumblr media
Something sneaky was going on around him, and Gojo didn’t like it. He never liked it when he wasn’t being the sneaky one.
At first, he thought he was just being absent minded. Going over to his snack cubby in the house to get a treat and finding less & less of his favorite cookies and chocolates in there. Maybe he was eating them faster than he remembered? So, he brushed it off.
Then he thought he was being paranoid. The sugar on the counter, that was usually next to the coffee pot in the morning, had suddenly vanished. The puddings he packed in his lunches that morning would suddenly be gone too. The vending machines by campus were all randomly ‘out of order’. So he knew something was up.
“What’s this?” Gojo asked his s/o, as they sat in a café having coffee (because he couldn’t get any at the school because all the sugar was gone there too). His tone grumpy as he was coming down from his perpetual sugar high.
“It’s a parfait.” They replied. Gently sitting the dessert in front of him along with their own black coffee. “They make really good ones here, so I thought you would like it.”
Gojo smiled a little. Finally perking up. Maybe his string of bad luck with sweets was just that, and his curse was finally lifted. “Pffffffffffttt!! What is that?!”
“It’s a parfait….” [Y/N] told him. Shocked by his spit take.
“This isn’t a parfait! Parfaits have ice cream in them!”
“Don’t be so dramatic Satoru. It’s frozen yogurt. Not like….cottage cheese or something….”
He looked at [Y/N]’s pout and suddenly realized what was going on. “It was you!” He accused. “You’re the one who’s been stealing my snacks and moving all the sugar around!” Of course. He should have figured it out sooner. [Y/N] was the only one besides non-curse users who can get past his senses; because he’s let his guard down so much around them.
“You eat too much sugar.” They told him. Still pouting, but clearly deciding that their deception was the hill they were going to die on. “I was try to cut some of it out of your system.”
“You were trying to cut all of it out.” Gojo corrected. “I’ve been getting headaches.”
“Which is further proof that you’re addicted to sugar!” Damn. He shouldn’t have given them more ammunition. “I just worry about your health. Too much sugar is terrible for you. You can get diabetes, high blood pressure, increased risk of heart disease.” Gojo decides to not comment on the fact that these come with old age, which is probably not something he will ever see. “I just want you to be healthy for a long time.”
“Just not happy.”
Gojo sulked for a moment, but then picked up the spoon again and ate another bite of the parfait. “I guess it’s fine.” [Y/N] smiled at that. “I can cut back a little. But if you start taking my pudding cups out of my lunch again, all bets are off.”
“Deal.”

Home Nursing Advice Column #1: Convalescent "Sick" Foods
Sick food comes down to calories and nutrients. The more the better.
Since sick people may not want to eat, packing as many calories as possible in as few bites as possible is essential.
You also want to start easy and move your way up to more complex foods. Consider this:
Clear liquids: Broths (have electrolytes), bone broths (have protein and electrolytes), full sugar gelatin (has carbohydrates and protein), full sugar popsicles (have carbohydrates), broths with added butter or oil (has electrolytes and fats).
Then move up to full liquids with fat: Whole milk (with added cream or half n half if you really need to pack in the calories- contains fat, electrolytes, carbs, and protein), chocolate milk (fat, more carbs, and protein), strained or blended cream soups (fat, carbs, electrolytes, and protein depending on ingredients), non-chunky ice creams/milkshakes, yogurt, milk alternatives with added oils, protein shakes.
Then move up to a high calorie soft regular diet: scrambled eggs with cheese, mashed potatoes with gravy, gravy and sauces on everything, cream cheese in/on everything, well cooked vegetables with butter or oil.
The goal is high calorie, because being sick takes a LOT of energy, and often leads people to eat lower quantities of food than they normally would.
This advice goes even for people who are overweight, diabetic, or generally sedentary. People need calories for healing!

My dear lgbt+ kids,
Let's talk about vaginal yeast infections. They are super common and nothing to be ashamed of!
What is a yeast infection and what causes it?
Yeast is a type of fungus that naturally lives in multiple parts of your body, like your mouth and vagina. This is not a problem. It's supposed to be there! But it is a careful balancing act - if it becomes too much, you can get a yeast infection.
One of the most common ways this happens is by taking antibiotic medication. They do not only kill the bacteria that cause the infection you are treating, they also kill the "good" bacteria that usually keep the yeast in your vagina in check.
Other things that can throw you off balance are for example:
pregnancy
hormonal birth control
diabetes/uncontrolled blood sugar levels
the use of scented products (tampons, pads, deodorant, soap etc.)
douching (and excessive vaginal hygiene in general)
An untreated infection can be passed on during sex but it is not considered an STI. You can get a yeast infection even if you never had sex!
What are the symptoms?
Yeast infections typically cause itching in the vagina or vulva. You may also notice a thick, white, odorless discharge (comparable to the consistency of cottage cheese), redness, swelling, or a burning sensation (especially when you urinate).
(Yellow or greenish discharge or "fishy" smelling discharge are not typical symptoms of a yeast infection - if you notice those, you may have a bacterial infection instead.)
How can I treat a yeast infection? Do I need to see a doctor?
First things first: Please do not try any "home remedies" you may hear about (like putting yogurt or ice in your vagina) - these things do not help and can even make it worse!
Over-the-counter (OTC) medication is in most cases highly effective and quickly relieves you of uncomfortable symptoms. It's usually for topical use (a cream you use on your vulva, a pill you insert in the vagina, or a combination of both) but oral medication (a pill you swallow) is available as well.
It's essential to carefully read the instructions and take it for as long as you are supposed to (even if your symptoms have already faded or completely stopped!). If you stop taking it too early, the infection may return.
However, it's best to see a doctor if:
You suspect it may be a bacterial infection (see above). This requires a different treatment; taking antifungal OTC medication would be useless for a bacterial infection!
You are not sure if you really have a yeast infection
You tried OTC medication and the symptoms didn't go away (or even got worse)
You get more than four yeast infections within twelve months
You are pregnant (not all OTC medications are safe during pregnancy)
You don't need to be embarrassed or worry that your doctor will assume it's caused by a lack of hygiene. They know better. Seeing patients with yeast infections is routine for them - it's one of the most common reasons people go to their gynecologist!
Can I prevent yeast infections?
Some risk factors are out of your control but you can:
wash your vulva with plain warm water (instead of using soap, cleanser etc.)
avoid douching or "washing out" your vagina (you don't need to clean your vagina at all! It's self-cleaning)
avoid using deodorant on your vulva
avoid using scented tampons or pads
With all my love,
Your Tumblr Dad

what's your favorite type of dessert? and can you write a a yoru x reader with the reader being a total sweeth tooth? hope you'll have a good day!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐀𝐒 𝐘𝐎𝐔 .
( Synopsis ) Just, don't let someone tease him.
( Author's Note ) Ice cream! Nothing will beat ice cream. Or yogurt, if that's a dessert. The loml, I cannot survive without it. I don't have a favorite flavor since they all taste amazing, but bad ice cream is bad ice cream. Especially ice cream that tastes like toothpaste, bleh. I hope you have a good day too :D
( Pairing ) Yoru x GN! Agent Reader
( Content Warnings ) Slight ooc Yoru? Cursing, the reader is slightly impulsive, childish, and expresses their feelings quite easily.
( Word Count ) 1.0k words // EDITED!
Tumblr media
It was pretty obvious for Yoru to figure out you had a sweet tooth. After every meal, it was basically a requirement for you to have dessert.
Even during the winter, you adored eating something that sends a sugar rush. You claimed it was refreshing and nothing could beat the sweet delicacy.
You always brought out the best reactions, especially when you figured out your stocks of sweets already disappeared in your stomach.
From time to time, you bought a cake to treat yourself for the week. Phoenix and Raze would always mistake what the cake was for and ask if there was a surprise celebration. They would run to their rooms to get the party poppers, but you would crush their hopes and reply that the dessert was yours and that there was no surprise celebration.
Or the times when you would bring out the ice cream from the freezer and realize it was iced cream. Occasionally, you would ask for help from Yoru to scoop it out of the tub only if you were in your rooms.
When you open the cabinet only to realize there were no more candies? Just to close and open the cabinet again as if the candies will magically appear? Oh, that's the best one.
He understands where your sweet tooth comes from, Zarusoba noodles were something he ordered every time if it was available on the menu.
Yet,
Your consumption of sweets was terrifying.
Yoru would rather die than admit he cares for others in the world. He had a reputation to keep up with: "I'm a cool lone wolf and no one can stop me."
But isn't too much sugar bad for you? What if you get diabetes?
It was a surprise for him too, finding himself caring for you. So whenever there was an opportunity, he would take it.
He tries to subtly steal the chocolates you hoarded in the fridge, throw them in his gatecrash and teleport them to the trash but he gets caught red-handed every time.
Yoru repeatedly doing this again and again though, oh you were gonna teach him a lesson.
The both of you rarely fought, since it was him silent and you talking most of the time you both spent together. But silence spoke volumes, and the silence you treated him right now was a different kind of silence.
Oh god, you were getting your revenge. You were giving him a playful silent treatment, weren't you.
"Yo, Yoru? What's that in the plastic bag you holdin'?"
Yoru cursed to the heavens in his head. Why, out of all places, did he run into Phoenix in the parking lot of a Korean convenience store.
"None of your business. Besides, how did you know it was me, and why are you even here in the first place?"
"Ey, curious now are we? I was buying Jett her groceries since I owe her a massive favor."
"You mean since she covered you for accidentally burning the old man's hat?"
"Shhhhhhhh, top-secret, remember?"
Yoru rolled his eyes, already preparing his motorcycle to get the hell out of there.
"Besides, you're the only person I know who wears his own custom hoodie and an oni mask."
"For fucks sake, anyone knows that by now. Keep your mouth sealed."
"But, I already did, I've shut up about your feelings for (Name) since Day one bruv."
What?
Yoru remained silent. No, he wasn't falling for the "so you do admit you have feelings for them" scenario.
Despite his attempt, Yoru's faltered expression stated otherwise. Even with the mask covering half of Yoru's face, Phoenix didn't miss how heat rose to his cheeks. Jackpot.
"You better hurry up if you wanna get those popsicles to their fridge! They asked help from Breach this mornin' to scoop out ice cream but Breach ended up slippin' the ice cream tub to the other side of the room and broke their spoon in half.
I'm tellin' ya, it ain’t their day today. I would be a bit angry and sad as well if someone destroyed my sneaker collection. But maybe, if you confess along with the ice cream they'll be in a good mood again? Not that you need to confess, of course, it's just a backup backup plan. Or the cherry on top." Phoenix grinned. He was finally giving Yoru the push he needed.
Yoru gripped the handles of his motorcycle. Pissed, he was pissed at how Phoenix read him like Killjoy's turret to Raze's boom bot.
Yoru didn't reply, and drove out of the parking lot.
"I believe in you fam!"
"Shut up!
Dinner was, awkward to say the least. For him, of course. You, on the other hand, ate your food like it was the best thing in the world.
The both of you agreed to eat dinner together in Yoru's room every night, to catch up on what happened during the day.
The turn wasn't in his favor, but hopefully, when you open the small freezer later, he has a slim chance.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Yoru chanted inside his mind. His palms were sweaty and he was bouncing his foot on the floor. Why was he getting nervous over you and ice cream? It's not like it's his first time encountering you or eating ice cream.
When you placed your utensils together, he prayed for once that you would stop this childish act up. Yoru watched quietly as you strode to open the freezer, and just as he expected.
"Ice cream! You bought my favorites!"
You ran to his chair and leaped into his arms. Yoru grunted and supported your legs hooked around his waist. Help him.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! I love you!"
"I didn't even say anything—"
"Who cares! You’re forgiven." You made yourself comfortable in his lap. "Ice cream is so sweet I'm not even joking."
Not as sweet as you.
Huh?
You seemed unaware of the impulsive confession you spoke of seconds ago, but your smile was enough for him.
Fuck love.

Just a made the best fuckin strawberry milkshake in my life but goddam it’s sugary as fuck.
Two big overfilled scoops of ice cream from a shitty plastic scooper
Like, a centimeter or yogurt from the bottom of a big cup of yogurt maybe a lil more
This goes in a mug like this too:
Tumblr media
Fill the rest with milk (or use nondairy alternatives for everything like I do) and mix
A fair bit of strawberry syrup, enough to make it at least faintly pink. I used too much and that shit was like that custard from the teletubbies.
Mix with a blender, I used a handheld immersion blender
Top and mix with strawberry preserves
Now go get your blood sugar tested because you probably have diabetes now.

Diet Chart for Diabetes
Introduction Diabetes is a condition in which the sugar levels in the blood rises above the normal level. Sugar levels get increased in the blood due to decreased insulin production and unhealthy lifestyle habits. Increased level of sugar can damage the heart, eyes, liver, and other organs of the body. Ayurveda deemed Diabetes as Madhumeha which states “Sweet (honey like) urine”. Increased blood sugar levels cause excess secretion of sugar in the urine as well. The signs and symptoms of diabetes include excess thirst, increased frequency to pass urine, digestion problems, inflammatory lesions, wasting of muscles, diarrhea, fever and necrosis.

The food you eat affects our body in different ways. From digestion to excreting the waste from the body, the food we consume can affect our organs. The high uric acid buildup is one such situation where the body fails to filter the excess uric acid.
What is uric acid? Follow these diet tips
Uric acid is a waste product found in the blood. Usually, it dissolves in blood and gets passed through urine. Uric acid is formed when the body breaks down chemicals called purines. These are molecules made up of carbon and nitrogen which are found in the DNA and RNA of cells. A high level of uric acid is dangerous to the body and can lead to a condition called hyperuricemia. Individuals who consume foods that are high in animal protein or who are prone to excessive alcohol consumption can develop high levels of uric acid in the body.
Excess uric acid in the body eventually turns into a crystalline form and settles in the joints, leading to gout. This condition is usually seen in individuals who have a BMI of more than 30kg/m2 and among people suffering from pre-existing health conditions such as diabetes and kidney disease.
Food which is high in purines are:
Meat Sources - Liver, heart, kidney, red meat
Fish Sources - Anchovies, herring, mackerel, trout, sardines, shrimps, crabs, mussels
Beverages - Yeast extracts, beer and distilled liquor, high fructose corn syrup and sugary juices
What is the food that is to be avoided?
It is advised to skip or avoid food items that are high in purines.
Non-vegetarians should avoid red meats from animal products, seafood like sardines, anchovies, shellfishes like shrimp, lobster, mussels.
Always avoid taking high fructose based foods like sugary juices, ice creams, plain candies and junk foods.
What to eat?
Ensure that protein-rich foods like low-fat dairy curd, skimmed milk, cheese, paneer, tofu, eggs are a part of your diet. Research suggests that consuming plant-based foods will not increase the risk of developing gout. Include 3-4 portions of cereals like whole grains, fruits and vegetables, especially those rich in Vitamin C such as cherries.
The uric acid levels in the body can be managed with modifications to diet and lifestyle. Listed below are the few steps to follow.
Reduce weight if you are overweight or obese.
Be active
Include fresh fruits and vegetables
Consume starchy vegetables like potatoes and grains like rice, bread
Include lentils and legumes in your diet
Unsalted nuts, peanut butter is good
Beverages like caffeinated coffee can help to reduce the gout attacks
Listed below are the food which contains low purine levels
Cereals: Rice, barley and food made out of cereals like bread, pasta are permitted at a moderation level
Vegetables: All vegetables mainly runner/green/string beans/French beans have a low purine level
Legumes: All legumes are allowed. Soya beans can be included in moderation in the diet
Fruits: Low fructose food like berries, pineapple, plum, peach, cherries are good
Dairy Products: All milk and milk by-products
Nuts: Unsalted almonds, walnut in moderation can be considered
One-day meal plan for low purine diet
Early morning: Tea - 1 cup with plain cracker biscuit
Breakfast: Plain dosa / Rawa dosa with vegetable sambar
Mid-Morning: Fruit bowl
Lunch: Rice - 1 cup + half cup lentils + vegetable sabzi + low fat yogurt
Evening: Low fat milk - 1 cup
Dinner: Roti - 2 + paneer sabzi + curd
One of the most effective ways to control high uric acid levels is to follow a healthy diet and exercise routine. Do not ignore symptoms like pain in the toe, stomach pain and pain while urinating.
Consulting Urology doctors immediately can help in early treatment.

it’s my healthy era… forever, since my husband was recently diagnosed with diabetes type 2. it was a complete shock but we were determined to drop his blood sugar levels. his A1C level was at 7.0 and his blood sugar was always between 220 to 350, which are really high, dangerous numbers, especially before breakfast or any type of food in his system. we started experimenting with food and coconut pancakes have been a life saver! keeps him and myself full until snack time. i highly recommend them. greek yogurt with low sugar granola, fruit and honey is also great to keep you full until dinner. and i create a spring mix salad with granola (i’m weird, i know) and jalapeño ranch. i know, ranch isn’t healthy but i just do a small portion. sushi (superficially imitation crab, cream cheese and avocado rolls), zuccini, green beans, eggs, low sugar ice cream and lots of fruit and other vegetables! i’m so excited for more healthy recipes and delicious foods. he has another appointment in april and i really hope his A1C levels drop at least to a 6.5 🤞 also, we’ve been walking a lot and doing cardio. i recently started lifting weights (10, 15 lbs.) and i feel so much better. my sleeping schedule is better. everything seems to be better. and the pounds, let me tell you, have dropped in the last 3 weeks. i’m so excited!!

As we'll I put my red and black stripped cover on top of my pink and black and red and white stripped cover so that it could blend in very we'll.
Also, I remember putting Shave Lotion on my hands and feet and I'm still ashy.

At about 12:30 Miss Julie made the announcement that it was lunch time.
We had lettuce and American cheese and a hamburger bun and macaroni salad and pickles and plain chips and Fruit Punch Crystal Light.
After lunch I washed my dishes and wiped one of the kitchen tables.
At 2:30 p.m. Miss Julie announced that it was Tea Time and she told the diabetics to get sugar free cookies and I got me a plastic cup and poored lemonade in a cup and drank that.
At 3:00 p.m. I went up the steps and took all my clothes off and rapped a towel around means took off my Javi sneakers and grabbed the Sensitive Skin and Irish Springs Aloe Mist and I took my tablet off charge.
At about 3:30 or 3:35 I went back to the lounge and started to watch General Hospital on t.v.
At about 4:00 or 4:05 p.m. I was watching the chanel 6 abc News and saw the weather and everything.
As of today dinner started at around 5:30 or 6:00 p.m. and I sat at the table with Miss Diane and we waited to be called for beverages and up to get our dinner.
And Miss Star called me and asked that I come up to the laundry room to put my laundry a little bit in one wash machine and another cup of Purex into another machine.
And then after I came from the laundry room with Miss Star I watched a little of t.v.
At 7:00 p.m. I went and sat in the med line and waited in a long line up until it was my time to be called and got a little plastic cup of water.
And then Miss Star put my medication in a cup and let me do my glucose machine first and my blood sugar was 140.
Then at about 7:40 p.m. I watched a little of Family Feud on t.v.
Tonight I watched Steve Harvey on Family Feud up until 8:00 p.m.
And then Miss Star called me to take my clothing out of two separate wash machines and then she asked me to put my clothing in two separate dryer's.
And then afterwords I put in the two separate dryer's two Bounce Dryer Sheets and one dryer sheet per dryer.
And then I went back to the lounge and watched a little Andy Griffin a little after 8:00 p.m.
And then Miss Alicia called for Snack Time and we had sweet potatoes pie and vanilla ice cream and ham and cheese sliced into a half a sandwich and I had a little plastic cup full of lemonade.
As I was finished with snack I washed my spoon and fork and then headed to my roomate and I room to take my phone off of charge.
As we'll I waited and sat on the bed to finish drying my clothes for a while.
At 9:00 o'clock p.m. Miss Star came to the door and said laundry Makeda and so I checked the dryers and most of my clothing was still wet.
