til’ the day i die
yoo jeongyeon x gn!reader // fluff
Tumblr media
being with yoo jeongyeon is as settled as you’re ever going to get.
you have everything someone settled for the rest of their life should have: a home to crawl back to when you’re done taking han’s money down at the riverfront, a business that makes more money than any other place in town, a kid who looks up at you to learn how to throw a baseball, and a woman who waits up for you until the morning.
settled never sounded so good; never sounded this way when your sister would write home about her married life.
jeongyeon looks up from behind the counter, her brow furrowed and her mouth forming what you’re sure to be another “y/n y/l/n, if i catch you…” lecture. you smile and dip under the countertop, sliding up next to jeongyeon, taking the pie plate out of her hands.
“what are you doing?”
you just give jeongyeon your best devil-may-care grin and trap the taller woman against the counter, seeing jeongyeon’s eyes flash in the solitary light near the door.
night has settled and you have settled in yoo jeongyeon’s home, content to put away your tendenices and instincts telling you to run until jeongyeon gives you a reason to pull them out again, which doesn’t seem likely until eternity is over.
“i might love you ‘til the day i die,” you whisper, the darkness swallowing your words as soon as they leave your lips.
jeongyeon’s mouth quirks up and she smiles at you like she knew that already. fingers slide around your waist, grabbing at your shirt.
it doesn’t feel like you’re being held back down because you know you could break the hold any time you want; know that jeongyeon holds all the cards, but she lets you play them; know that you can leave but you can always come back.
yoo jeongyeon won’t ever hold you back, and you’re not planning on letting go any time soon.
///
being with you is as free as yoo jeongyeon is ever going to get.
her whole life has been constructed in concrete, with set plans and instructions to be followed and men to obey, but you, her lover, have picked the lock around her heart and set her at the edge of wild and told her to find her way back.
she stumbled and fell behind and skinned her knee a time or two, trying to follow your pace, but you always circled back and picked her up; always made sure jeongyeon knew the way back to the beaten path, if she wanted to turn around.
jeongyeon wanted to tell you, “you’re beating down a path in front of me. i’ll follow that one,” but the words get lost in between glances over plates drowning in barbeque sauce, poorly shed tears for jinhyun and his lost limb, and han’s yells for you to stop cheating him out of his money, so she stops trying to say it and starts showing it instead, in lingering kisses and running when she knows she would have walked, just so you know.
“what are you doing?” she asks, not expecting a forward answer anyway. you just grin at her; the grin that makes her forget about why you’re lying about kevin, or swearing during church services, or letting the alcoholics desperate for a drink have a swig of the flask beneath the counter, or even how ridiculous it is to bury a little boy’s arm.
freedom was a mythical idea she used to dream about at night, something that had no place in her world of structure and safety, but you insisted on it: jumping out of trains, walking through bees, running from her husband, lying under oath, taking risks where she would usually not. freedom was just a dream until a vagabond with wild hair crept out of the forest and showed her how to live.
you step closer and jeongyeon is pinned against the counter, the cool glass of pie containers against her arms.
“i might love you ‘til the day i die,” she feels against her cheek.
she slides her hands around your waist, fingers slipping under your shirt and smiles, because she knows; she feels the same.
you may go running off sometimes — “i’m a free spirit,” you tell everyone whoever asks — but you always reach back, take jeongyeon’s hand, and bring her along for the ride.
🥺 fluff.

breaking point
yoo jeongyeon & fem!reader // happy birthday to my jeongi u are like a precious soul that i will forever n ever have a special place in my heart. so sorry i ended up making smut LOL / minors dni
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
when you and your girlfriend are out on a lunch date, is it normal to split a chocolate with an extra aphrodisiac kick in it?
probably not, but for shits and giggles you pretend it is.
“this is” you stare at the chocolate, then up at your girlfriend’s face “probably one of the most sane ideas you had this week”
“sane?” jeongyeon loves getting under your skin, probably with the way how she knows she’s got you under her later “since when we’re we sane?”
“that you have a good point in” you give in to her idea, taking a bite of the chocolate “i think there’s a bit of strawberries in this”
“strawberries can be an aphrodisiac” jeongyeon thinks about it though, but then says “i’m not sure though so maybe it’s just to help it taste better?”
“chocolate already tastes good sweetie” you both finish your halves, before stepping out of the car to go into the quiet restaurant booked for the date “this better kick in slow”
it did not kick in slow
10 minutes in sitting in the restaurant, you could feel the primal urges start to rise. teeth aching, hands getting a little to fidgety, that wetness starting to make an appearance and that urge to absolutely lose it.
so 10 minutes in? you were a mess
jeongyeon’s patience is outstanding you would say. even now when your eyes are narrowing down on her lips, hands and neck, she’s still innocently smiling and making her no jam jokes.
she’s the kinder one between you too. with her angel like disposition in contrast to your more, probably unhinged, no bullshit personality. always spoiling you, always giving you what you want, always with that sweet sweet smile that makes you melt
so yeah in 10 minutes she’s still alright, still so patient and so sweet
and yet she’s already asking for the food to be packed to go because “oh sorry an emergency came up.” and helping you up into the car
give it another 10 minutes you both are in your shared apartment, her biting down on the flesh of your thighs as she has you spread out on the couch
give it barely another few minutes for her to start eating you out though like you’re her actual lunch
“baby baby babyyy” you are a ruined piece of art at this point, jeongyeon thinks as she’s eating you out, pussy stuffed with three fingers in.
“i know i know baby” she’s a little bit mean, but you love to see her laugh maniacally while pumping you full “i’ve got you baby just keep on taking it baby that’s it”
“hngg-ugh fuck” you aren’t trying to boost her ego, but the way she’s got your head thrown back, legs shaking and eyes watering? fuck you’ve got her head right up high
“you can take more right?” as much as you want to stop, you know yourself better. you know you want more
“‘m wan more” you cry out, in broken and high pitched moans “please! break me!”
she breaks.
by the time she’s got you through 3 orgasms in that position, she’s lying down and got you riding her face, her arms locking your hips in place as she moans against your pussy, her own thighs shaking as you play with the vibrator stuffed in her own
“sweetheart–oh fuck! jesus right there baby–gods you look so–hnggg ughh–you look so good eating me out” you’re head is a mess, but looking at your girlfriend looking like this makes you say a lot of things
she can barely reply back to you, too pussy drunk and too focused on the pleasure she’s both giving and taking
“can’t be the only one cummin’ aroun’ here sweetie” is what you say before maxing out the vibrator and getting enough orgasms out of her, and before she forces you down to fucks you with a strap
so yeah is it normal to split a chocolate with an extra aphrodisiac kick in it?
if you’re looking to make yoo jeongyeon break into her primal wants? sure

sfw
jeongyeon is tender, warm and protective with those she loves and cares about, but with you she is even more so. she has taken princess treatment to another level.
her love languages are acts of service and quality time, her actions speak louder than her words.
she likes cooking for you and she loves cleaning, so when she stays over you'll end up having meals for a week and that she'll probably do all the laundry with the excuse that she has to wash the t-shirt she left last time.
she'll probably try to vacuum, clean the bathroom and organized your closet while she's scolding you for your mess. luckily you've found a few ways to distract her.
she loves spending time with you and she’d enjoy doing anything with you like doing groceries or fixing things around the house but she plans out the best dates
she always finds cute spots, nice restaurants, art exhibits and new places to go
if you casually name drop a place on a conversation trust her to take her there on your next date
she always remembers the small details of your conversations so the same goes with snacks and food if you say you like or crave something she’ll either cook it or buy it for you.
if she gets you snacks expect them to come with little note reminding you to take care and wishing you a great day
with your princess treatment you’re also getting passenger princess privilege. jeongyeon usually picks you up from university/work
she calls you either a short version of your name or “babe”
she’s so protective and always makes sure you’re healthy, safe and comfortable
when you’re not together she will text you around lunch and dinner time to make sure you eat well and on time
when you’re together she makes sure you stay warm and gives you her jacket or sweater when you’re cold. jeongyeon loves seeing how big her oversized clothes look on you
when you’re out she opens the doors for you, ask if you’re enjoying the food, fills your glass with water and makes sure you’re always comfortable
she will be also make you stop every time she sees a dog but you don’t mind at all because she just gets so cute around dogs. when you found out she occasionally volunteers at the shelter you knew she’s the one
she is way better with actions than words because her way of showing you love through words is teasing you endlessly
when you two weren’t dating yet you actually thought she secretly hate you
jeongyeon would bother you more than the others to the point that she would wipe her cheek if you gave her a kiss
now she bends down to your height with her cheek close to your lips to ask you for a kiss
one time you were having a bad day and started crying when she said you looked ugly to tease you. now she has learned to read you and know when you’re not in the mood for it
she doesn’t do pda but the way she holds your hand, interlocks your fingers and places her hand on your lower back feels just as intimate a kiss
when you two are in private she just randomly pecks your lips or hugs you from behind and kisses your neck or shoulder
she loves when you lay on top of her with her arms wrapped around you and she’ll always be the big spoon unless she’s had a rough day
nsfw
her three favorite activities in bed are: eating you out, fingering you while making out and see you riding her thighs
in bed she calls you “princess”, “baby girl” and “pretty girl”
she lets you take the lead first to make you feel comfortable and really respects your boundaries
it took her almost a month to kiss you. when you started dating she always kept her hands on your waist and sides until you got tired of it and had to place her hands on your ass
same thing happened during your first time, you’re so pent up and so touchy because you needed her so bad but you would just make out
you ended up taking the lead and straddled her while moving your hips because she was oblivious to your not so subtle signs
she takes your limits very seriously and will stop you to ask "are you sure about this, princess ?" even when you are the one who started it
once she makes sure you’re okay jeongyeon will start and won’t stop until you can’t no longer cum
jeongyeon’s love language is acts of service so of course she’s service top
she can spend hours going down on you and trapped between your legs. she loves eating you out and her head game is insane
she will clean your up with her mouth and she absentmindedly will start eating you out again because you taste so good
she’s also good with the strap but she’d rather fuck you with her tongue and mouth so she can really feel you
when she uses the strap she has two favorite positions: missionary and from behind
she loves missionary because she can kiss you and look into your eyes while she’s going in and out of you. she does it when she’s in a romantic mood
but having you with your face buried in the your pillow with your ass up in full display for her makes her go feral. she kill kiss down your spine and whisper sweet nothings while pounding on you
if jeongyeon and you are in on of those days she will bite your neck and shoulders leaving marks all over and maybe she will pull your hair a little and maybe wrap her hand around your neck
somehow manages to be still be so sweet and caring when you’re doing the filthiest things and will always make sure you’re okay but also that you’re enjoying it because your pleasure it’s all that matters
she’s a boob girl. she love sucking, nibbling and licking your breasts and nipples leaving marks all over
she loves when you get on top and drag your nails down her stomach while you ride her thigh or the strap
she’s on the quieter side but every time she tastes you for the first time she whimpers
jeongyeon definitely has a praising kink. every time you tell her how good she’s doing and how good shears feeling you can feel her moaning against you
she doesn’t enjoy quickies or rushed morning sex because she likes to take her time worshipping your body and tasting every inch of your body
aftercare is a must and she will start it by asking you how are you feeling. after she makes sure your okay she’s gives you some time to catch your breath and to cuddle

this one's for you
yoo jeongyeon x fem!reader ; fluff (highschool au)
synopsis: yoo jeongyeon can shoot a basketball pretty well--just not when you're near.
wc: 7.6k
warnings: cursing ; jeongyeon is an idiot ; not proofread well oops
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a/n: been working on this for a bit, hope you all enjoy this brain rotting fluff :-)
also there might be a good amount of mistakes because i got tired and gave up on proof reading :-/
-
yoo jeongyeon shoots her shot and almost always makes it.
the 5'6, dark-haired, cocky, and well-known shooting guard is arguably the best on the team, everyone knows it.
though yoo jeongyeon lacks some height for a star player on the court, her skills make up for all of it.
each and every pass made is precise, no matter how far she is. every time she would dribble, those who would watch would be in awe at how quick she was on her feet and how quickly the tips of her fingers were able to shift the ball from one side to another. her shots are the star of the show—each time she makes one, there's a ninety percent chance that it'll make the infamous swish—which makes the whole crowd lose their minds.
most girls eye her, most girls want her; yoo jeongyeon could pull almost anyone she wanted, but you were a different case.
-
"who's that?" the shooting guard perks her head up, narrowing her eyes at the unfamiliar second-year who had just passed by. you hadn't shifted your gaze in the slightest; you didn't bat an eye at jeongyeon or even acknowledge her.
jihyo rolls her eyes at the hopeless lesbian next to her who now looks at jihyo through her clear glass frames, desperate for an answer.
"that's myoui's cousin or something, she transferred here last week." jihyo answers.
"she's hot." jeongyeon says, still staring at you as you converse with mina. jeongyeon looks at you with heart eyes, "i'm gonna ask her out." she adds, determined. jihyo rolls her eyes once more.
jeongyeon gapes at you, she notes that your style is a more casual version of mina's. the gray sweatshirt that you wear fits loosely around your figure, and the navy sweatpants fit the same around your legs too. the shoes you wear are for lounging, something comfy—jeongyeon thinks they're some type of clog. the dark-haired basketball player notes that you're just barely taller than mina, maybe two or three centimeters taller than the school's ballet star, but not taller than yoo herself. she's into shorter girls; you're perfect.
you and mina have similar features: sharp jawlines, similar beauty marks/moles, hair, etc. though, you have some sharper features, and god... the thought of your eyes and lips might have her slipping up during practice.
the girl jeongyeon had been eyeing turns and makes eye contact with her for a split second. you slow down time during that split second, it seems as if ten have passed by before you turn back to your cousin. jeongyeon wishes that moment could've lasted an hour.
"you're being weird, i hate it." jihyo sighs.
"i need to know her name."
"didn't you bicker with myoui a lot? like hell she'd let you go near her cousin."
"we're 17, i'm not letting that smartass tell me who i can and can't date."
"whatever. stop being so gay it's disgusting and i hate you." jihyo groans, "and, class starts soon. let's go."
"you just want to see minatozaki you aren't any different from-"
jihyo pinches the hooper's ears, which makes the taller girl whine in discomfort. jihyo just sighs, "and we will see minatozaki whether you like it or not."
"why can you be gay but not me?"
"because i can. life is not fair, yoo."
jeongyeon groans.
-
jeongyeon almost collapses when she sees you walk through the door, jihyo rolls her eyes again and thinks that her eyes might fall out by the end of the day if you continue to be within jeongyeon's field of vision.
the class quiets down and mr. choi pushes his glasses up, then brushes his flat hair back with his fingers.
"listen, you're all old enough so i'll make this short. we have a new student, her name is myoui y/n. treat her with the same respect as you would with your other peers, and please make her feel welcome." he introduces.
"hi. i'm y/n, it's nice to meet you all." you greet, and your voice is like liquid gold, dripping with warmth and sweetness—jeongyeon wants a taste.
"jihyo i need her so bad."
"get a grip." park scolds, "you're gonna make me go insane by the end of the day."
you nod your head and smile awkwardly, making your way over to the empty seat next to the window; the desk is a seat up and to the left. you're sitting close enough for jeongyeon to admire the side of your face instead of paying attention in class.
jihyo's going to be in a deathbed by the end of the year—or month.
-
lunch is in session, you sit with mina and her friends: tzuyu, chaeyoung, and dahyun. the two shorter ones seem eager to get to know you, asking you all sorts of questions and comparing their schedules with yours. mina informs you that this is how they usually are, tzuyu snickers at their enthusiasm.
as lunch goes on, your gaze shifts over to a short, dark-haired girl with clear frames. she's talking to some girl with this particularly apparent bob, and another girl who's laughing so hard you can see the two bunny-like front teeth from the way she lights up. you also recognize the two other girls with longer hair: sana and momo—some of mina's other friends.
the girl with the glasses makes eye contact with you for a moment, and she smiles at you immediately, even adding a wink. nervousness washed over you like an uninviting wave, and you respond by redirecting your attention to your cousin who sits in front of you.
mina quirks a brow when your focus is suddenly drawn to an empty spot on the lunch table, curious at the sudden change in expression.
your cousin turns her head toward what, or who you were looking at.
"y/n,"
uh oh.
"yeah?"
"were you checking out yoo?" mina presses. her tone makes it seem like she has a dagger to your throat.
"what are you talking about?" your attempt at innocence fails.
"don't act stupid." mina sighs. "she's trouble, i've had too many bad encounters with her. i don't want you having any similar experiences with her either."
chaeyoung snickers at mina, "mina's just mad because yoo accdientally spilled milk on her once, and made her drop all her shit on the floor." chaeyoung explains, amused—it makes your cousin shoot a glare that has the shortest of the table shrinking in her seat.
you giggle to yourself and it calms the tension from the now moody mina; the thought of her having milk spilt all over is pretty entertaining.
"just watch out okay? she's just... i don't know, be careful with her she's kind of strange and might be trouble; and her low iq might rub off on you." mina groans.
you laugh at her words—yoo jeongyeon seems interesting.
-
yoo jeongyeon seems to have bad luck with the myoui family.
two weeks after you catch her eye, you're in the gym helping out the student council by putting posters up with chaeyoung. the shorter girl had convinced you that it would be fun, and she practically begged you to since everyone else was busy.
the tape that you had on the tip of your finger was taken off your skin to put on the edge of a large, white poster for the student council. you're busy holding the other side of the paper for chaeyoung while she grabs some more tape rolls since you had run out, so your attention was focused on the phone in your hands as you waited.
the last thing you had heard was "watch out!"
but it was too late.
it all happened so quickly, but you remembered everything.
the basketball hits you in the head and the force from it even has you making contact with the wall beside you. the pain is sharp and has you falling to the ground, clutching your head as your eyes water.
there are a couple of gasps and you even hear a muffled "jeongyeon!" while your eyes are shut.
a few seconds after the collision, you feel a hand on your shoulder and a rushed sequence of words.
"oh my god are you okay? fuck... i'm so sorry, how many fingers am i holding up? can you see?" jeongyeon asks, worried and filled with guilt. the shooting guard had made a quick, sharp pass—which would've been great in an actual game, but the timing was terrible and it just had to hit you.
"could you not-" you start, but you clutch your aching head at the sudden pain that hits you. "fuck," you groan, "could you watch it next time?"
"i'm sorry, really. i didn't mean to, it was an accident-"
you're in a terrible mood now (the myoui cousins seem to have moodswings in common,) and you're even more agitated from the overwhelming amount of words and apologies from jeongyeon.
"accidents can hurt, you know." you grumble, glaring at her with a hand still on your head.
jeongyeon winces, feeling like she'd just embarrassed herself in front of the one girl she's been eyeing.
"sorry, let me take you to the nurse." the shooting guard says, offering a hand—which you take with irritation.
-
"i'm jeongyeon by the way, i think we have biology together." she says, trying to break the awkward silence that stretches while you two walk down the hall.
you turn to her with an intimidating gaze, it's scary and has jeongyeon avoiding eye contact. as much as you'd like to spark a conversation with her, your skull hurts and the more you listen to her voice makes you ache more.
"you're myoui's cousin, right?"
"why do you ask?"
"um, just curious."
"i heard you spilled milk on her too." and you almost giggle, "you're not good with first impressions, huh?"
you notice jeongyeons slightly flustered demeanor and despite your irritation, you find yourself intrigued at this new facade. it's almost cute, almost.
-
"it's just a little bump, it'll probably be a bruise though." ms. lee explains casually, "at least it's not a concussion—some ice should help with the swelling."
you grumble as you accept the ice pack. "thanks."
ms. lee smiles at you then nods, "let me know if it troubles you anymore."
you nod back.
when you get up and turn towards the door, you notice jeongyeon leaning against the frame of it. she leans awkwardly against the door, looks like guilt painted her expression—almost like a somber portrait—it’s like each brushstroke reminded her of the stupid slip-up from earlier.
her face softens before she apologizes again. "i'm really sorry y/n."
"you better be." you respond. "my head feels like it got in a fight with your basketball."
jeongyeon tries to hide the small smile that tugs at her lips, she knows she shouldn't be amused, especially after giving you that noticeable bump and dark red mark—but your pout and adorable expression do not help. the tinge of annoyance in your voice was even cuter.
the smile fights back against jeongyeon and it's visible on her face now. "if it helps, i think you look lovely with that bump on your forehead."
"are you trying to flirt with the girl you nearly concussed?" you respond in disbelief, but a (very soft) blush creeps up your cheeks from the unexpected compliment.
"can't help it when you look like that." jeongyeon smiles, and her attempt at easing the tension works (to her surprise.)
as much as you want to argue and be stubborn with her, you're too busy fighting back that smile from seeing that stupid smirk on her lips and hearing her teasing tone.
"you're unbelievable."
you think jeongyeon is an idiot, a stupid idiot with a stupidly annoying (and particularly lovely) face.
-
you find out that jeongyeon is certainly an idiot.
a month after that painful encounter with the shooting guard, you're pulled aside by your biology teacher after class. it's frightening, you wonder if you had done something wrong and it makes your thumb scratch at the side of your fingers.
"did i do anything wrong mr. choi?" you ask worriedly, since it's been what, almost three months? since you've even been at this new school, and you're not trying to ruin your reputation this early into your transfer.
mr. choi simply shakes his head, still facing the laptop in front of him—his dark hair stays slicked in place as he does so.
"not at all; actually, i called you here because you're one of my best students, really." he explains, turning to face you. "you've been here for only a bit, but your grades are at the top of the class."
the worry that had been sitting on your shoulders brushes off—you let out a sigh of relief.
"i see, thank you." you respond, "so what did you need?"
"since you're so proficient in this class, i wanted to ask if you were willing to tutor one of the students thats," he pauses, his shoulders seem to sink just barely. "-not so knowledgeable."
mr. choi uses the word "ask," but it sounds more like a demand, almost as if you couldn't say no despite the softness of his deep voice. you tilt your head and look at him with creased brows.
"um, okay?"
he sighs, pushing his black glasses up.
"it's yoo, she's been... slacking."
oh.
"and you want me to... tutor her?"
"please." mr. choi sighs. he leans back in his seat and starts pinching the bridge of his nose, disappointment etched lines on his face. "she's one of the most significant players on the basketball team, and they're pretty deep into the season."
"and that has to do with what?" you question, thinking about your distressing experience with basketballs.
"if she continues to perform so poorly in this class, she'll be benched from the team."
"mr. choi, i get that you want to help one of your students, but i have my own things to do and i need that free time to-"
"y/n," he starts, "i'm the assistant coach, you know. she's not just a student, but she's also one of my players."
the expression that flickers across your face is one of surprise—he did not look like the type to coach in his free time, maybe one to do crosswords or something like that—but coaching girl's basketball? crazy.
"mr. choi, i get that you know, she's an important player and whatnot but how would this benefit me?"
"it'll look really good on your record and also, i'll give you service hours for it, even double. to add onto that, i can write a damn good recommendation letter for when you need it."
shit that's a good deal.
you think to yourself for a moment; do you really want to tutor that idiot?
another sigh leaves your lips.
"okay."
"great, i've already told jeongyeon that you'd do it anyway. i told her to meet you in the library afterschool." he smiles, the lost hope seems to return to his eyes and his shoulders lift back. you look at him in disbelief.
"what?"
-
you walk into the library with a groan.
as you scan the room, you notice a few students who occupy tables and chat with each other, some even pass around notebooks, and some laugh with one another. some students are browsing through the library, you spot that smart kid hyunseok from your math class in the science fiction section.
your gaze lands on a familiar classmate, the same one who had nearly concussed you.
jeongyeon sits back in the chair, leaning back—almost lounging in her seat. she has her head angled down and it's evident that she's on her phone. in front of her there are some papers, a folder, and a light blue notebook; you wonder if there's even anything knowledgeable written in it.
when you set your bag down on one of the four chairs at the table, jeongyeon looks up at you and turns off her phone. a small grin spreads across her face once her; the mischievous curve of her lips altered her face into a playful canvas of delight. she looks more than happy to see you.
"y/n!" she beams with optimism.
"jeongyeon." you sigh, rolling your eyes.
"i'm glad i have such a pretty tutor." she says, resting her chin on her palm. she's already flirting, you think to youself (but you can't lie, the compliment catches you off guard and almost makes you grin.)
"i'm not here so you can flirt with me for an hour," you say sternly, "i would be home right now, but mr. choi is making me help you out so you can throw basketballs around."
"hey, the more i practice the less chance of hitting you again?" jeongyeon tries—you narrow your eyes and jeongyeon sinks in her seat like a sad puppy who had just been denied a treat.
-
session one of many goes well to your surprise.
it takes a moment for jeongyeon to actually focus, and it takes a few reminders that she's here to study and not stare at your face for an hour—you'd never admit it but fuck it had you flustered that she had heart eyes for you, so you had to keep her in check just for the sake of yourself.
jeongyeon is surprisingly competent once she had locked in for a bit. you were baffled that she even asked questions, that she tried to learn—but i mean, she had to if she wanted to continue to make spectators scream from the swish of a net.
"that's it for the first part of unit three, is there anything else that you wanted to know?"
"are you single?"she asks--you look at her blankly. jeongyeon just smiles at you with puppy eyes, theres a hint of mischief in her look too.
"review what we learned, we have a couple weeks before the unit test." you sigh, putting your papers in your bag and zipping it up. "let's meet every tuesday and thursday, okay?"
"whatever you say myoui." she adds with a wink, picking up the heavy-looking bag with ease (it almost impresses you.)
the two of you walk in the same direction towards the exit of the library, and jeongyeon decides to make one last little remark.
"you never answered my question."
"it's not biology related."
"you're no fun." jeongyeon says, pouting as she holds onto the strap of her backpack.
you smile without realizing it and curse yourself out mentally—jeongyeon seems to have warmed up to you. you roll your eyes at her and scoff playfully, turning around and walking towards the main entrance.
"see you thursday y/n!" the basketball player says all cheery.
you don't fight back the grin that spreads across your face.
-
session three.
it's similar to last time, though jeongyeon is much more focused. her eyes seemed to narrow like a camera lense zooming in on something as you explained a certain concept or pulled out some sort of diagram. she listened attentively to whatever vocabulary you were defining, she even took highlighted (but messy) notes.
every now and then your eyes would land on her concentrated expression as she took notes, and the way she stuck her tongue out while writing a small note down was something that threatened your lips to curve up a bit.
jeongyeon looks up at one point and you two make eye contact—you quickly look away when it happens—your heart skips a beat.
"do you have anything you want me to clarify?" you ask at the end of the session. jeongyeon skims through her notes and shakes her head,
"no, i don't think so."
"you sure? the quiz is next monday."
"yeah, i think i get it. i'll look through the notes if i forget anything."
"okay." you reply, and jeongyeon beams at you with pinched eyes and a toothy smile—it's contagious and you smile back bashfully.
-
session four.
for the first time since your sessions started, you're at the library first.
there's an empty spot across from you, no stupidly flirtatious shooting guard to light up when you're in her field of vision, no flattering comments—just the two unoccupied seats in front of you. the though of jeongyeon ditching you crosses your mind, and it hurts your heart a bit—you have no clue why.
a few moments later you hear someone shouting your name from across the library.
"y/n! y/n! holy shit look!" jeongyeon says, rushing over with a paper in her hand.
the librarian glares at the basketball player and puts a finger to her lips, shushing her aggressively. it makes you laugh.
jeongyeon slams the paper down on the desk and her toothy-grin is like a beacon of light that almost blinds your eyes—you'd stare at it until your vision goes all hazy. she pushes the paper towards you and you eye her with a brow raised.
"what's this?" you say.
"just look." she says proudly. a small laugh escapes you and you scan the paper and look at her name written in messy handwriting, and on the paper it has a score that makes your eyes widen—you have to hold the paper closer to your face because you're in disbelief.
"a b+? jeongyeon oh my god-"
"i know right! choi even pulled me aside to congratulate me, he was proud of my work." she says, "but, he told me i have to keep it up and do well on the next homework assignments, quizzes, and tests before i can get more than thirty minutes of playing time." she frowns, her shoulders slump a little as she fixes herself in the seat across from you.
"you didn't think he'd let you off the hook that easily did you?" you scoff at her naivety, "he's not that easy-going."
"whatever whatever. anyway, he said that you did a good job teaching me." jeongyeon adds, "thanks y/n."
you smile at the comment and look up to her smiling ear to ear.
"thanks jeongyeon." you reply, "i'm proud of you i guess." and jeongyeon laughs at your response.
"you have a pretty smile, i wish you'd smile around me more."
your heart almost jumps out your chest when she says that, there's a warmth that spreads throughout your whole body and you feel flustered all of the sudden. jeongyeon smirks at your reaction.
"let's, uh, let's study for the test." you mumble, trying to compose yourself and steer the conversation away because you don't know if you can handle anymore of her compliments. "we have a test next class, so pay attention."
"whatever you say."
-
three more sessions pass, it's your seventh one with the flirty basketball player now.
her grade went from a c- to a b+ pretty quickly—all thanks to you.
the more sessions you have with her, the more jeongyeon seems to get through your stubborn facade, and she warms up to you, even sparking conversation that's not about biology here and there.
the more you spend time with her, the more you realize that shit, she's really fucking cute.
it starts off as a small thought, something in the back of your mind. Jeongyeon’s focus on you was felt distinctly alarming the more you realized how attractive she was—it almost had you fumbling over your words when you would explain certain terms and processes to her.
jeongyeon has this sparkle in her eyes whenever you ask her a question and she gets it right—it's adorable. she has these cute brown eyes that were like two adorable puppies, brimming with warmth and eagerness. (everything about jeongyeon reminded you of puppies, from her playful curiosity to her stupidly cute face.) not only that, but when she was around your worries seemed to fade and the atmosphere was comforting; it made you feel all tender and fuzzy inside.
there's a flare of pink on your face when she came back to you with a paper in her hand, the homework marked with the big red letter "a" that made her grin so proudly. at this point you realized that you were tutoring her not only for choi's little deal, but also to see her face after doing well in the class.
fuck.
-
"y/n."
"hm?"
"you've never answered my question." jeongyeon mutters. her eyes don't leave the notebook that she writes on, she's focused on the words that fill the page as she goes alon gwith her pencil.
"what question?" you ask, looking at her while you fiddle with a pencil.
"you know," she begins, her tone hints that she's plotting something—it has you on the edge of your seat. "you never answered me when i asked if you were single." she says, looking back up at you with a hint of hope in her eyes. a lump forms in your throat.
"i," you pause, avoiding her eyes that drill into your skull, eyes filled with curiousity, she needed an answer. "yeah."
jeongyeon smirks at your response, now she starts to resemble a sly fox with the cheeky expression that's carved into her features.
"can we make a deal?"
you stop fidgeting with your pencil and nod hesitantly.
"if i get an a on the next homework assignment, quiz, and test; will you go out with me?"
the question takes you by surprise and you feel your body go hot, you freeze in your place. jeongyeon smiles at you knowing that she's earned the unbeatable sight of your rosy cheeks, she tilts her head while waiting for a response. you bite your lip in an attempt to suppress the way your lips start to curve up, but jeongyeon notices anyway.
"so?"
"alright." you respond shyly, looking down at the desk to prevent yourself from growing even more flustered in front of the idiot that sits before you. "all a's, nothing less."
the shooting guard isn't focused on acing the class for choi's approval anymore, she's determined to take on thsi new academic challenge since you're the prize.
-
"mina, can i ask you something?" momo questions. mina hums in response without taking her eyes off the laptop in front of her, typing away but paying attention to what her friend wants to say.
"your cousin..." momo starts, "is she dating jeongyeon?"
mina takes her eyes off the laptop and her jaw widens slightly as she eyes momo.
"what?"
"god jeongyeon's been gushing about her so much, seems like they're dating."
dating?
"y/n has only ever told me about tutoring her, and she seemed annoyed about it."
"really? i saw them in the library last week and they seemed to be talking about something together; y/n looked pretty content." momo responds, a hint of smirk in her voice. mina looks at her dumbfounded, she knew you had been tutoring jeongyeon—but looking pleased around her? even after she knew how your first encounter with the basketball player had went? impossible.
"huh." mina mumbles. momo looks at the girl amused, laughing lightly at her simple response.
"even if they're not dating, y/n has jeongyeon under a spell, i swear." momo sighs, shaking her head. "jeongyeon skipped the past lunch to study." momo explains, even raising her brow to emphasize her own disbelief. she shakes her head and takes a sip from the cup of coffee in front of her, "i mean, at least jeongyeon is studious now? whatever your cousin is doing it's working."
"hm." mina hums, puzzled.
-
mina comes over for dinner and you're a little confused as to why, but she's your cousin so does it really matter?
you find out her true intentions once you two settle in your room.
mina's sitting on your office chair, spinning herself side to side by moving her foot against the ground lightly. you're on the bed, lounging and reading something for your history class, sighing every now and then due to your annoyance. mina's on her phone and it's silent for a bit until she starts to speak,
"you and jeongyeon, momo told me you've been getting close." she mumbles, eyeing you. the expression on your face is priceless: a mix of surprise and bashfulness. you look up at her with a tense jaw and avoid eye contact—you feel terribly nervous for no reason—her gaze is nerve racking.
"um, kind of." you say. mina's gaze was comparable to a towering mountain, and you felt like a mere pebble in her shadow.
mina turns off her phone and sits down next to you on her bed. "i'm not your parent, i don't know why you look so scared dumbass." she sighs, "i don't really care if you're dating her, as long as you're happy you know?"
"we're not dating-"
"we're cousins, you don't have to lie-"
"no i'm serious, we're not dating." you explain, but you pause for a moment when you remember the deal you made with jeongyeon. "ok well we might."
"what do you mean might?" mina questions, looking at you with a newfound curiousity in her eyes. you put the book down and find that you're probably not going to be able to finish this reading, so you might as well just stop for the night. you sit up and it feels like a sleepover, a girls night—it cleared the nervousness flowing in you as well as the tension in the air from mina's unrivaled glare.
"we made a little deal," you start, "if she aces the next quiz and test, then she gets to take me out."
mina covers her mouth from your explanation, leaning closer to you with raised brows. you're giggling and blushing just from thinking about it, and it's so ridiculous that you feel like a teenage girl in some romcom movie (you love it, though.)
"and if she doesn't ace her quiz and test?"
"i hadn't thought of that—but mina, she's doing really good! her grades went up like, two letters." you boast proudly. your cousin laughs at you and lays herself on the bed next to you, and you allow yourself to relax next to her while setting the history textbook on the table next to you.
"so you like her?" mina asks, turning to the side to face you.
you practically breathe out your response, as if your head were in the clouds.
"yeah."
-
a day before the test—24 hours before yoo jeongyeon takes the test that determines whether her cute tutor will go out with her.
determined would be an understatement, she's been studying her ass off and even getting enough sleep to let her brain marinate properly. she has to ace this.
jeongyeon slams the quiz with the bold "a" on the table aggressively, there's even a little note in red that reads "nice work yoo!" on the top right corner of the stapled papers.
you smile at her enthusiasm, it's cute.
"good job jeongyeon," you practically chuckle out as you pull out the notes that you plan to go over this session.
"one more y/n, one more," she smirks, looking at you and her eyes blazed with determination. she's going to take you out, no doubt. her expression was as cute as an eager, unwavering puppy, and confident tone made a soft, rosy glow unfurl across your cheeks.
"yeah, yeah. sit down, we have to go over this if you want to pass."
"i'll pass alright, ill ace it."
you giggle at her, she's even more appealing with every session.
-
"shit." you grumble, looking at the text from your mom that pops up on the screen of your phone.
jeongyeon stops what she's doing and looks at you with a raised brow, humming in a way that asks: what's wrong?
"my mom wants me home right now," you sigh, "we have to cut this session short." you add with a frown.
there's half an hour left of your session, and jeongyeon really wants to get everything down so she can be fully prepared for that damn mixed unit test. you look at her apologetically and rush to pull out your biology folder, skimming through the pages and handing it to her.
"you're giving me all the notes?" jeongyeon questions.
"you need it to ace that test don't you? i know the material like it's the back of my hand, just give it back to me tomorrow before class."
"you sure?"
"how are you going to take me out if you don't have the notes needed?" you respond. now it's jeongyeons turn to be flustered. you simply laugh at the astonishment that had been etched into her features.
as you turn to leave, a surge of boldness rushed through your body like an unexpected gust of wind, it sent tremors through your senses.
you're only a couple steps away from jeongyeon—who had redirected her attention on the material—but you make sure to get to her quickly to press a quick, gentle kiss on her cheek.
as your lips met her cheek, it was like a soft petal of a rose brushing against her skin, creating a ripple of shivers that woke up her senses. your quick peck was gentle, and so incredibly swift, but god it made jeongyeon feel all warm inside.
the shooting guards face is amusing, it transformed into a portrait of surprise—as if some sudden plot twist had unfolded amongst her emotions—and, to add on to that, her cheeks had a rosy flare. your action definitely took her by surprise.
she turns to face you—your face a couple of inches away from hers—and the smile on your lips gave her a stronger desire to ace that damn biology test.
your cheeks were flushed like a canvas painted to resemble a warm sunset, and you're equally as flustered but you manage to mumble something soft and sweet.
"see you tomorrow, good luck."
jeongyeon isn't able to think clearly, and she thinks you did this on purpose because it'll take a while to regain her composure and focus.
-
yoo jeongyeon finishes the test and she's terrified.
it was a multiple choice test, but ten out of forty questions had her a little mixed up, and that's not good for her. she had even gone over every important vocabulary word twice the night prior to the test day, and she even made her older sister quiz her. jeongyeon made sure to eat enough, sleep enough, and have herself ready for the test.
she's so desperate to feel your soft lips against her skin again, to get that brief whiff of your lavender fragrance when you're close again. yoo jeongyeon needs her score and she needs it immediately.
-
"y/n!" jeongyeon calls out to you in the middle of the empty hall. you turn around and she has the biggest smile you've ever seen on her face, stretching across her adorable face like a sunrise, but radiant as a beacon at the same time.
she runs towards you and almost trips over from the way she pays no attention to anything but you, completely disregarding her surroundings. she almost shoves the paper in your face, and you can't even read the fuzzy red ink that's on it because the paper is so up close and personal, completely blocking your field of vision.
when you scold her and grab the paper from her own hands, your eyes widen at the sight of the big, fat "a" on the paper. your gaze is back on her and shes grinning from ear to ear. you smile to yourself, biting your lip—and you feel a sudden spark in your chest that seems to turn into a wildfire—it makes your heart race and your cheeks burn.
"it's a friday, i have no practice, and i think that should be perfect for us."
"you're eager huh." you roll your eyes at her, trying to keep your cool even though you're burning up from her direct desire for you.
"let's go." jeongyeon beams.
with a touch that's both gentle and firm, she takes your hand and sweeps you away towards the exit like a leaf caught in an eager gust of wind. you laugh at her and match her rushed pace as she rushes out the door.
-
the two of you find yourselves at some fair nearby, jeongyeon seemed to have everything planned out already.
she had paid for the transit tickets to the area, one which you had never been to or even heard of before even though it's a fifteen-minute bus ride away from the school. when you question how she knows about this fair and if she's ever been; she simply explains that her team used to go there all the time and that she's been wanting to take a pretty girl out there. the last part makes you blush.
her hand rarely leaves yours, it's always holding it softly—yet firmly—as she guides you through the lively, bright fair.
jeongyeon leads you towards multiple midways that have games to play and prizes for her to win for you.
the first stop is some game where you aim a gun that shoots out water in a sharp streak to hit targets with a sharp thwack—and the more targets you hit: the better the prize is. the two of you tackle this game individually, making it a small competition at first to see who can get more points, it's heartwarming and makes you two laugh uncontrollably.
jeongyeon ends up getting more points and boasts about it, but makes sure to make up for her playful remarks by winning a couple lollipops for you. it makes you look away from her shyly and you even share one of the five lollipops she had given you.
the next game is one that requires precision and focus, as well as some power.
there's a variety of balloons that fill the board in front of you, and you're given five darts. if you use all five darts and each one hits a balloon; then you win a small stuffed animal. the two of you watch each other with anticipation as you take turns throwing the darts, making sure to trade your tickets so that both of you start off with five darts each.
jeongyeon throws her small dart first, it pops one of the small balloons and the basketball player balls her fist up in joy, exclaiming a loud "yes!" after doing so. you roll your eyes at her adorable little exclamation and pick up one of your own darts.
your eyes squint a little as they focus on one of the pink balloons, and you move your hand back and forth twice before actually throwing the dart, and it pops the balloon with a significantly loud pop.
"you're better than i thought, y/n."
"what's that supposed to mean?"
jeongyeon smirks at your response. "nothing." she says with a smug expression—it makes you punch her shoulder lightly, making the two of you laugh.
-
the two of you continue to walk around hand in hand as you stroll around the fair. cheeks red and a fuzzy, warm feeling spreading all throughout your bodies.
after getting some cotton candy to share and running around taking pictures of each other, the two of you find yourselves at the last game of the night.
jeongyeon had spot a certain fair game that certainly got her attention, it was her forte: basketball. she drags you when you're not paying attention and you let out a gasp in surprise from the sudden yank at your hand, you follow her though you don't fight back—it's as if she were an eager puppy yanking at a leash—your arm in this case.
"look at the prizes." jeongyeon says, mouth open in awe as she gazes at the large variety of stuffed animals hung up for display. there's a certain stuffed animal that catches her eye—she thinks you'd love it, and now she's determined to bag it for you.
she points at the cute, fluffy golden retriever stuffy and smiles with determination.
"i'm going to get you that one."
you chuckle at her adorable tone. "just don't concuss me when you shoot."
she rolls her eyes and gives four of her tickets to the worker, he hands her one of two basketballs in return.
you pull out your phone and start to record, jeongyeon turns to face the camera and smiles brightly, her toothy grin almost rivaling the sun.
the shooting guard winks at the camera and says, "this one's for you." then shoots.
the basketball flies up into the air and curves at an angle—it looks like it'll actually make it, but it doesn't. you laugh so hard it's almost concerning.
your laughter erupts like a volcano—you're practically cackling. you laugh until your cheeks ache from smiling so much, and your eyes are glistening from the tears that seem to form in your eyes. to add on to that, your stomach feels like it's been hit by a bus from the way it tenses up from each loud cackle—you wonder if you'll end up having a six pack by the end of the night. your camera captures every single sound and expression on jeongyeon's face.
she narrows her eyes at you, glaring playfully while you're unable to form words and there's another lighthearted pout that's thrown in your direction.
"stop that!" she groans, watching as you wipe a tear from one of your eyes.
"i thought you were good at basketball? what happened to 'star player yoo jeongyeon?'" you joke, making her stick out her tongue.
"it's rigged." she says, rolling her eyes. you continue to laugh uncontrollably from her tone.
jeongyeon sighs, redirecting her attention on the basketball in her skilled hands and the hoop in front of her. she squints her eyes a little, then shoots the basketball with perfect form and precision.
the swish makes her grin confidently, and she punches her clenched fists up, yelping a "yes!"
you roll your eyes and smile as the worker hands her the stuffed animal she had been set on winning, and the toothy grin that's on her face is one you could stare at forever—one that could rival a paintings beauty and charm.
"you actually did it." you tease, and she just rolls her eyes as she hands you the stuffed animal.
"of course i did, told you 'this one's for you'" she beams, "i'm on the basketball team for a reason."
"after that first shot i think you should reconsider-"
"shut up!" she groans and her cute response makes you laugh again—it hurts your core a bit, and it reminds you that the video of her missing is a video you'll be watching until you fall asleep tonight.
-
the night ends too quickly, to your dismay.
it's really cliché: jeongyeon walks you home with her hand holding yours, both of you smiling and giggling while conversing over something small.
when you two reach your front door and your foot lands on the welcome mat—jeongyeon's heart breaks a little bit.
you smile at her with a slight sadness in your eyes, wishing everything lasted just a bit longer because you don't remember the last time you've let yourself loose around someone like that.
"i had a lot of fun jeongyeon." you say with a new softness in your tone and eyes.
jeongyeon almost frowns. "me too."
"you know," you start, deciding to stall a bit before you actually have to leave. "if you didn't ace that test… i would've still went out with you."
"seriously?"
"jeongyeon," you say, amused. "a test wasn't the reason i went out with you. i like you, a lot."
"i like you too." jeongyeon says, grins stupidly and your cheeks start to burn at her precious smile. she looks at you with a sudden hint of disappointment and longing in her eyes, then speaks again. "i'll let you get back inside, it's pretty late and you know, it's been a long day."
not long enough.
"yeah." you respond sadly. "goodnight jeongyeon."
"night, pretty." she says adorably, and you scoff playfully at her stupid (-ly cute) flirting.
jeongyeon turns and starts to walk down the sidewalk that leads to your house, and the keys in your hand go into the lock of your door and turn, unlocking it and you turn at the knob—but you don't open the door just yet—instead, turning around.
"wait," you call out to jeongyeon—who pauses in her place, then pivots 180 degrees to gaze into our eyes, one of her brows raises as you walk up to her hurriedly.
"hm?" she hums in confusion, looking at you as the new, sheepish expression takes over your face.
your lips meet hers and it takes her by surprise,—but she places her hand on your cheek gently and reciprocates—jeongyeon knew your lips were soft, especially from the way you had kissed her cheek at the end of that one study session, but god they felt even better on her lips.
there's an electric thrill that runs like a current through her body, and it's absolutely unreal.
you pull away and your lips linger a little, jeongyeon feels like her heart might leap out her chest from the way it's running marathons. you're unable to contain the smile that spreads across your lips after you pull away fully—neither can jeongyeon.
the two of you stare at each other shyly, both feeling so incredibly flustered from your bold action.
"um, i'll get going. night jeongyeon." you mutter hurriedly, turning away quickly.
jeongyeon is incapable of forming words as you walk back to the front door and push it open, looking back at her with rosy cheeks and an amused grin.
"night…" she mumbles in astonishment, and you just giggle softly, closing the door.
jeongyeon's shot was aimed for your heart—and she made it.

“Hey, baby maknae,” Jeongyeon calls, smiling. She looks so cute, with her eyes nearly closing as she tops you with her frame. The sensation of her shadows on you is enough to make you open your eyes, sitting on the couch. “Are you okay? Your breathing is kinda erratic.”
It was a slow day at the dorms. Nearly all the girls were busy with either a group or a solo schedule, which left you, Dahyun, and Jeongyeon all alone in the massive apartment. To anyone, it’d be a perfect time to relax, run errands, or work on some hobbies. You were trying to relax, though, but such a thing was still forbidden to your mind — the thoughts started to run at an overwhelming pace as soon as you lay down on the couch, in hopes of destressing.
Thankfully, the women whom you shared your life with were more than attentive to all of your mannerisms. You didn’t even have to say anything, and they’d be by your side, caring, nurturing. Each of them helps in a unique way.
You loved your girls so much it hurt.
“Yes, unnie. Just fine.” The lie flows easily from your mouth, in an automatic response. It’s only when Jeongyeon lifts her brow that you come to realize you don’t have to do that anymore. You don’t have anything to hide — they’ve already seen all of your ugliest parts. Sighing, you add. “Sorry, it’s just, uhm, sorry. I was trying to relax, but I can’t… I still can’t focus on the thoughts too much. I get scared easily.”
Jeongyeong nods, pleased by your efforts to share your feelings with her. You’ve been going to therapy for a couple of months, and it’s been helping you to understand and deal with your feelings better. As a result, you’ve been expressing yourself better, and the girls were able to search for ways of making your routine easier each day. The engines of the big, complex clock that defined your being were slowly getting back into its place. It’s a slow, tiring process, but there’s been progress.
She sits by your side, giving you a reassuring squeeze. You took advantage of her proximity to hold her tight, hugging her even closer. Jeongyeon’s arms have always felt the safest to you. Her embrace sends warmth waves of love straight into your heart, and you smile against the woman’s skin.
“Thank you for telling me, beautiful.” You blossom under her praise, hiding your face in the crook of her neck. Her hands go inside your hoodie to trace slow, delicate circles on your bare skin, exactly how she knows it’ll calm you down. “Perhaps some fresh air will help you feel a bit better? We can go for a walk. The members will take long to come home. How does that sound?”
“Sounds perfect, unnie.” Although there’s hardly anything she suggested you wouldn’t do, simply because it’s her. “Let’s take a walk.”
Jeongyeon’s hands are cozy, and they fit perfectly against yours. You hold her delicately through all the way.
The park is the girl’s assigned spot. It’s the place you’ve cried, laughed, and celebrated together ever since your trainee days. Whether it was to go on picnics, hikes, or simply feed the ducks on the lake, you’ve grown used to having such a place as your escape route.
You’re surprised that Jeongyeon led you to the basketball court, instead of the lake. However, what surprises you the most is the ball in her hands, which she shakes side to side in awkward motions.
“What are you doing?” You frown, watching her clumsy moves.
During your trainee days, you, Jeongyeon, and Momo would sneak out of the practice rooms once it all got too much. Your managers would always find the trio here, instead, laughing their hearts out in their own little world. Neither of you knew how to actually play, but being able to move around — wasting some well-needed nerves without the need to be perfect, and just have fun in general was enough. If you concentrated hard enough, you could still hear Momo’s loud laugh, combined with your loud cheers whenever Jeongyeon managed to score a shot.
Reminiscing such memories causes a growing ache in your heart. At the time, it seemed like things were so heavy: the crushing routine of practice, the stress of not knowing whether you’d make it through the next monthly evaluation, the immaturity of being so young… You thought it was the end of the world, back then. Now, looking through the hidden memories behind those feelings is enough for you to realize it wasn’t so bad, after all. Being able to window-shop at the mall without being recognized; the thrill of finally being able to buy that Nintendo you had been saving up for forever; whispering gossip with the girls after the lights were out when you had to be up early for dance lessons, on the next day.
It’s a bittersweet feeling. Something that seemed like a life ago, coming from a version of yourself trapped in another dimension. You felt like that wasn’t yourself anymore. It was impossible to recreate such memories, and even when you managed to do so, it just felt wrong, and weird.
You desperately wanted to go back to being that girl again. And it fucking sucked.
“I thought a little one-on-one could ease up your nerves. You used to love playing before.” Jeongyeon cares about you so much, thinking about the little details of the maknae she loved dearly. Holding on to something that did not exist anymore.
Just like you were. All of them.
Your mouth tastes bitter. Suddenly, you’re no longer interested in being outside — there’s a sudden urge to just go back to your room, curl up and cry.
You used to like going to the park and playing, before.
“So everyone keeps telling me.” You murmur, kicking a rock as your fists close inside your hoodie’s pockets. “About things I liked to do before the— episode.”
Sensing you’re not interested in playing — or maybe she just took a brief look on your face. With a red nose, watery eyes, and a big pout, it wasn’t difficult to tell you were about to burst into tears. Jeongyeon throws the ball away, opening her arms to you.
It’s instant: you run to her, crying as you mutter apologies and empty promises. You wish you still liked to do all of those things. That you weren’t so utterly, completely broken. You want to go back to when you were just a little troubled but fine.
Was it never going to stop hurting? Is this ache going to last forever?
“It’s okay, baby.” Jeongyeon’s calm voice soothes you, as she runs her hands through your hair. Your sobs are loud, probably drawing attention to the little kids playing on the nearby courts, but she doesn’t seem to mind. “It’s okay. Much has changed, and that’s normal. It’s just life, baby. It’s simply life.” Gently grabbing your shoulders, the older woman brushes the tears away from your eyes. Staring at you with a serious face, she adds, “I love you, Y/n. We’re in this together, all of us. That’s what hasn’t changed: our love. Okay?”
You nod, somehow crying even more now that you are surrounded by such a strong love.
“We will make new memories, and find new hobbies. We’ll do whatever it takes. It might not be as fun or shiny as the old ones, but oh, Y/n… they’re going to be even more cherished and precious, I promise.” She promises, resting her forehead against yours. And you truly believe her words.
You love her more than words can say.
“I love you, unnie. Thank you.” You laugh through the tears, glad to have someone like Jeongyeon in your life.
Turning around, you make your way back, in the lake’s direction.
“And I love you more, baby. We’ll find a new hobby, don’t worry.” Her face turns thoughtful, her glasses complimenting her frame well. “Have you tried cooking? We really need another one in the dorms, things are getting unsustainable. I had to eat Nayeon’s food yesterday! Or, well, at least pretend, since it was disgusting. Not even poor Dobby ate it.”
You let out a loud laugh, this time, giving the older girl a playful hit.
Jeongyeon was right: things were not as they once were. The past was in the past, and it might be a good thing. From now on, you’d focus on making new memories, surrounded by the love and support from your family, your friends, and most importantly, from your girls.

Being an idol was hard on its own, but being one of the very few hybrid idols was even harder. You battled with hate from people who didn’t understand hybrids, or care enough about the difference of hybrids and animals. In addition to that you put so much extra pressure on yourself in order to hopefully avoid extra attention that your anatomy didn’t already do.
The girls always worried that you would overwork yourself, so much so that they always mad sure to baby you a little extra. Not because they see you as less than then but simply because they found you so cute and they loved you just like they love each other as partners.
Today was just like any other day for you, practically passing out in the practice room after staying hours longer than the rest of the group. It was almost 4 am when you got back, shuffling through the dorm as quiet as possibly halting when you say the TV on ears flicking on your head at the low noise yet still audible with your ears.
“Hello~” you whisper into the darkness of the living room, your yelp being muffled into Chaeyoung’s shoulder as she hugged you.
“Shhhh Y/n, Nayeon needs her beauty sleep” she winks while you both giggle quietly.
“C’mere!” She cheers quietly, well as quietly as the baby beast can, while pulling you into her lap. You cant help but stare at her while she wraps a blanket round you smiling when she changes the channel to your favourite movie, rubbing your ears and lulling you to sleep.
-
When you woke up there were hands on your ears and tail and a pair of arms wrapped tightly around your waist. Lifting your ear up you heard the giggles of Nayeon and Sana, opening your eyes you were met with Sana brushing your tail out while Nayeon rugged at your ear. Chaeyoung still fast asleep you knew you couldn’t move yet, so with a sleepy smile you nuzzled back into her arms.
“Morning you two” you smiled at them both, ears perking up as the smell from the kitchen finally met your nose. Tail wagging uncontrollably, you felt chae wake up all three giggling at your love for food.
Jumping up you rushed into the kitchen where Jeong was making you a coffee, passing it to you with a kiss to the ear and scratch to the other. Sitting next to Tzu you leaned your head on her shoulder kissing it as she began to rub and scratch your ears.
After a breakfast you all went to go get ready, climbing out of the shower and throwing on your sweats you called in Jihyo to help comb out your tail. Coming inside she smiled softly at you, sitting behind you to softly comb your tail out knowing how painful it sometimes can be. Once it was all over she’d give you a kiss for each cheek and hug you while playing with your ears to calm you down.
Practice long and hard as usual, the girls making sure to take regular breaks. About half way through Momo and Mina made sure you sat in between them for a break knowing you wouldn’t take one yourself. You still squirmed around and tried to cut your break short so you ended up in Momo’s lap her placing kisses on your neck to distract you, your tail wagging softly. Hitting Mina knee with every wag causing her to giggle lean over to kiss your cheek.
After practice you all opted on a movie night, having tomorrow off there was no need for an early night. Dahyun had claimed you, pulling you into her arms and demanding cuddles and stealing kisses now and then not that the others minded as they were all doing the same with each other.

warnings: reader is lowkey dense, cursing, not proofread, rushed ending, i’m not a very good writer </3

a/n: my first fic! slowly healing the jeongyeon drought. ALSO HAPPY VALENTINES DAY !!!
wc: 2.1k
-
You’ve always hated Valentines Day. To you it was just time for happy couples to brag and remind you how you’ll be forever alone. However, this year was differe-
“Earth to Y/N!” A hand waved infront of your face. You push it away with a playful scoff. “Gosh, Sana! I was just zoning out…” “Okay, well i don’t care. I want to introduce you to someone!”
You tilt your head, confused. “Um.. okay? Who-“ You stop mid-scentence, mouth hanging in the air. Your best friend had her arm around none other than Yoo Jeongyeon, the girl you’ve been admiring for the past month.
“This is Jeongyeon, my cousin! Y/N, Jeongyeon. Jeongyeon, Y/N!” Sana exclaims cheerfully, gesturing to us.
You stare in silence, mouth still open. Why has Sana never told you that Jeongyeon is her cousin? I mean, it’s not like you told her about your little crush, but still! You catch Jeongyeon staring, and realize that you must look like an idiot right now.
“O-Oh!” You reach your hand out. “Hi, nice to meet you!” You breathe out, relieved you were able to atleast get that part out without stuttering. Jeongyeon looks down at your hand, then shakes it awkwardly. “Hi.” She says, looking back up.
You pull your hand away instantly, embarrassed. God, Y/N! You’re such a weirdo. It’s 2024 no one shakes hands anymore!
You look up to see Jeongyeon laughing, hand covering her face. “You’re blushing, Y/N.” You instantly blush more. Thankfully, Sana comes to your rescue. “She does that all the time, don’t worry about it Jeongyeon.” She says, moving to put her arm around your shoulder.
The bell rings, signaling the next class. “Ah, shit. I gotta go.” Jeongyeon says with a sigh. “Y/N, can i have your number?” She asks, holding out her phone towards you. You quickly grab it, saying “Sure!” You type it in, then hand the phone back to her. “Thanks! Talk to you later.” She says, winking then walking off to her class.
You stand there, blushing uncontrollably and rethinking all of your life choices up to that point, but Sana interrupts your thinking once again.
“Don’t mind her Y/N, she’s just a flirt-“ She turns towards you, only to find you as red as a tomato, looking like you’re fighting demons in your head.
“Oh you totally like her.” Sana says, smirking at you.
“No! No I don’t! Like you said, I just blush a lot!” You exclaim, trying to defend yourself.
“Mhm… whatever you say! You know, I can put in a good word for you~” She nudges your shoukder pkayfully. You groan and start to walk off, Sana following closely behind giggling.
-
You sat at your desk in your pajamas, eating popcorn and playing minecraft on your computer. While you mindlessly gather materials, your phone buzzes. You pick it up, a look of confusion forming on your face. “An unknown number..?” You open the text.
Unknown - 11:36
Hey, is this Y/N?
Y/N - 11:37
Yeah? but who is this?
Unknown - 11:37
damn, you already forgot me? i feel hurt! it’s me, jeongyeon.
You gasp. You quickly save her contact to your phone, then hold it with both hands while you try to think of a reply.
Jeongyeon - 11:41
Hello?
Y/N - 11:41
Sorry, I had to do something!
Jeongyeon - 11:41
Lmaoo, it’s okay. wyd rn?
Y/N - 11:42
playing minecraft!
Jeongyeon - 11:42
no way?? i LOVE minecraft.
fuck. should i ask if she wants to play…? woudk she think i’m weird??? my fingers ghost over the keyboard. whatever.
Y/N - 11:44
really? do you want to play with me then?
Jeongyeon - 11:44
fr? you’ll let me?? hell yeah!
Y/N - 11:44
okay, just call me when you’re ready!
you sit in your chair, staring off into space. minutes have passed since you asked her if you wanted to play, yet it still hasn’t hit you yet that she actually agreed.
“Oh my god. Oh my god.” You quickly stand up and stuff your face in your pillow as you scream. “IM GOING TO PLAY MINECRAFT WITH YOO FUCKING JEONGYEON. WHAT THE FUCK?”
The phone on your desk buzzes, so you stand up and rush to grab it. You quickly answer, but not before you make sure your camera is off.
“Hello?” You hear Jeongyeons voice from across the line.
“Hi.” You say, internally screaming. Her camera is on and you can’t help but admire how pretty she looks, even without makeup. “It’s not fair that I have my camera on and you don’t..” She whines, “Turn yours on, Y/N”
You hesitate, but then after quickly checking yourself in the mirror on your desk, you turn you camera on and give her a sheepish smile.
“You’re blushing again, Y/N. Cute.” You don’t respond. Instead you look towards your computer screen, blushing like a madman. “I’m making the world, join me.” “Okay, Y/N-nie” Your face heats up at the nickname while you try to focus on the game.
That night, the two of you talked for 5 hours, and you enjoyed every second of it.
-
“So, Y/N. Jeongyeon told me about your little minecraft date on friday~” Sana says teasingly.
You almost spit your drink out. “What? It wasn’t a date?- wait, did she call it a date??” You ask curiously, face beet red.
Sana laughs, “No, silly. But i bet you wish she did.” She winks, and you sink back into your chair sighing. “Speak of the devil,” Sana says, looking behind you, “Hi, Jeongyeon!”
Jeongyeon takes a seat next to you. “Hi Stupid, Hey Y/N!” You wave at her while Sana complains about the silly nickname.
Suddenly, Sana shuts up (which is a first) “So Jeongyeon… Valentine’s day is in 2 days, do you have any plans?” Sana inquires, sneaking a wink at you. You silently pray to god that she’ll stop, but Jeongyeon speaks up. “Yeah, I have something in mind. I met this girl recently and i think i’ll ask her.”
Your heart drops. Another girl? Who is it? Is it Mina? The girl Jeongyeon always hangs out with? Sana interrupts your train of thought. “Y/N? What about you?” She says, smirking.
“Huh? Oh… um? I don’t really know right now…” You say, averting your eyes from the two. Jeongyeon nudges your shoulder. “Better hurry, or all the good ones will be taken.” She shoots you wink. You’re the good one, and apparently you’re already taken.
The bell rings, once again ending your time with Jeongyeon. You all say your goodbyes and you watch as Jeongyeon walks the opposite direction of you and Sana. “Y/N, you should ask her to be your Valentine.”
You turn your head, staring at Sana with a “You can’t be serious” face. “You’re crazy. I’m never doing that! You heard her anyways, she said she has her eye on someone already.”
Sana smiles with a mischievous gleam in her eyes, but you don’t catch it. “Don’t be a scaredy cat, Y/N. The worst she can say is no!” You sit down in your seat, then turn to her, making gestures with your hands as you talk. “Exactly! The worst she can say is no! My whole life would ruined!”
Sana grabs your arms and gently pushes them down. “Here, how about this,” You calm down, listening intently, “I’ll help you. I’ll give her some hints, you know?.” You look down, contemplating whether or not it would work. “Okay… you do that. Fuck, i’ve got to make her a card.” You grab your bag, slinging it on your shoulder as you turn towards the door. “Y/N where are you going?” Sana exclaims. “I’m skipping! I need to get the stuff for her right now!” You say, running out of the class and making your way out of school.
-
You’re walking down the sidewalk, bags full of art supplies and candies in hand. you weren’t looking where you were going, too focused on trying to think of how you want to decorate her card, when all of a sudden you bump into someone. the bags fall onto the ground, the contents spilling out.
“Shit.. I’m sorry! I wasn’t looking where I was goi-“ The person starts laughing. “Gosh, Y/N. Were you always this clumsy?”
You r heart speeds up. Jeongyeon stands infront of you, laughing. “Whatever…” You say, blushing. You begin to pick up the art supplies off the floor. Jeongyeon bends down and picks up the heart stickers you bought.
“Oh? You decided to ask someone? Who?” She asks curiously. You blush, “I can’t say..” Jeongyeon nods then puts the stickers in the bag you’re holding. “She’s one lucky girls I bet she’ll love it.”
Your heart swells. If only you knew… You thought. You thank Jeongyeon before turning to leave. “Y/N, wait.” You turn around. “Can you meet me here, Wednesday, at 5?”
Valentine’s day. she wants to meet you on valentine’s day. I mean, you were already planning on asking her to meet, but her asking changes the whole thing. “Y-Yeah, sure.” “Okay, see you later, okay?” You nod, watching her walk off. You look around, making note of the tree that overlooks the sidewalk and the bench sat next to it.
Okay. Here. 5 o’clock.
-
Saying you’re nervous is an understatement. There isn’t words to explain how you feel right now, standing under the tree that Jeongyeon told you to meet at 2 days earlier.
You’d spent the last two days making her a handmade card, a paper bouquet with her favorite candies inside, and writing a letter confessing your feelings to ner. Sana has been non-stop hyping you up, and you’re grateful for that. But now, you’ve been waiting for what feels like hours under this tree, and all the encouragement she gave you has worn off.
Your palms are sweaty and you’re positive you’re pale. You’re contemplating just leaving, but you hear a voice call out to you.
“Y/N!” You turn, hiding the card behind your back. Jeongyeon walks up to you out of breath, hand behind her back. “I’m sorry i’m-“ she huffs, “I’m late, i had a last minute thing to attend to.”
“It’s okay” You reply, fidgeting with your jacket zipper with your free hand. “I asked you to come here because i wanted to tell you something.” She says. You speak up, “I actually have something to ask you, can I go first?” You ask, praying she says yes. You wanted to make your feelings known before she told you whatever she had to say. She nods.
You pull the card out infront of you, holding it out and bowing your head. Your eyes are closed, face towards the ground. “I know you’re planning on asking someone else to be your valentine already, but i had to ask. it’s totally okay if you reject me! ever since sana introduced us- no, before that, i’ve really liked you. i just wanted to shoot my shot and give it a try, you know? so will you be my valentine?”
You take a deep breath. there’s silence, then there’s laughter. You look up, confused. You’ve done it again Y/N. Embarrassed yourself infront of the girl you like. “I’m sorry… i’ll go-“ You turn to walk away but a hand on your shoulder turns you back around.
Jeongyeon brings the hand behind her back out to reveal a bouquet of tulips with a card stuffed inside. “Y/N, will you be my valentine?” Now you’re the silent one. What was happening? You begin to think out loud. “You’re asking me? What about the other girl you were talking about Monday? The one you were going to ask, isn’t it Mina-“
Your rambling is cut off with soft lips against yours. The kiss is short and sweet but it’s everything you’ve been wanting and more.
Jeongyeon pulls away, then looks into your eyes. “It’s you, silly. I wanted to ask you. I was talking about you that day. Not Mina. Besides, she’s with Chaeyoung. I like you.”
You’re speechless, and you’re sure your face is beet red. You try to formulate a response, but your brain isn’t working. So instead, you press your lips to hers again, pulling away with a smile. “I was so worried you were going to say no.” Jeongyeon laughs. “Y/N, i don’t know if anyone’s ever told you this, but you’re super dense. I’ve been hinting at it since we met. Even Sana has!”
You blush, the puzzle pieces connecting in your mind. You feel stupid for not realizing it before.“Whatever… Lets go?” Jeongyeon smiles down at you. “Yeah, let’s get dinner. Then, we should have a minecraft date!” The two of you laugh together, walking down the sidewalk with intertwined fingers.
Suddenly, Valentine’s day didn’t seem that bad anymore. Not when you had the girl of your dreams by your side.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
even though you had told jeongyeon over a thousand times that you were okay with going to the beach in the brisk cold of fall and you had been doing these small trips for like forever, she still had her doubts.
standing by the door, coby’s leash in her hand as she adjusted her hat in the mirror. you shut the door to your bedroom and leaned against the wall in the hallway, admiring the cute scene happening in front of you.
no matter where you and jeongyeon were going, she always managed to look beyond stunning, the way her outfits always matched the seasons, she also put in the effort to match at least one article of clothing with coby. this time, the hat she wore this time was in a light caramel color, just like the fur on coby.
it has been five years since you and jeongyeon started dating and ever since then, each passing day has always been the best. you and jeongyeon met at a party hosted by one of your friends in the summer, celebrating her graduation from her master’s program. from one corner of the room, you spotted her with a smile across her face and from that second you set eyes on her, you couldn’t stop staring.
“momo! who’s that girl standing there next to the dj?” you nudged the host of the party, one of your closest friends since middle school. momo swiveled her head around, raising a perked eyebrow at you.
“there’s at least 20 people crowding the dj right now y/n, you gotta help me out here.”
you closed your eyes in annoyance and pointed to the slightly taller girl with dark brown hair who was wrapped up in a conversation with one of momo’s coworkers.
“the girl with the brown hair?” momo squinted to see who you were pointing at despite having 20/20 vision. you shook your head again, knowing that she was messing with you.
“no the guy with the black cap. yes! the girl with the dark brown hair. what’s her name? you ask, draping your arm around momo’s shoulder and leaning against her, eyes still fixated on the beautiful brunette.
“oh why didn’t you say anything?” momo laugs as she brushes your arm off, slapping your arm playfully. “that’s yoo jeongyeon. she’s one of the new assistant professors in the marine biology department.”
you nodded with your mouth open, impressed by her occupation at momo’s university and her striking side profile. momo dashed her eyes at you, spinning around to face you with a pouty look on her face.
“why do you want to know? you like her don’t ya?” you tried to hide the glaringly obvious, but the blush petering through your face and up to your cheeks sold the whole act. “oh you totally have something going on for her! what’s with you huh?! you haven’t even talked to her and you’re red as a pepper. i can introduce you two if you want.”
before you could go against momo’s plan of action, she was already calling jeongyeon over, waving her hands to draw more attention to herself and you, the red pepper. the attempts to stop momo as she frantically waves her arms up in the air, not wanting to attract more people’s attention in the party and your growing embarrassment.
jeongyeon notices momo and excused herself from the conversation, weaving her way through the small sea of groups surrounding the kitchen. she slowly made her way toward the two of you and you felt your heart racing instantaneously. in a matter of a few moments, you were a few feet away from one of the most drop dead beautiful people you had laid your eyes on in your life.
“hey momoring! what’s up?” just from speaking four words, you could immediately tell that jeongyeon was one of the brightest people in the world. her smile never faded even through her brief and funny exchange with momo. you hadn’t bothered introducing yourself to her yet, content with the interaction that was happening in front of you and even if you did try to say something, it wouldn’t be ineligible to understand at all.
“oh by the way this is y/n! she hasn’t met you yet and spotted you when you were talking to sunoo. i thought that the two of you could get along well.” momo stepped to your right side, elbowing you after three seconds of silence.
“i-i’m y/n!” you smiled as you internally broke down. momo only said your name and that was all that you could say to jeongyeon? real smooth of you.
jeongyeon lightly laughed as she put her hand out for you, shaking it as she brushed some of her hair behind her ear, revealing a bright pink hearing aid. this caught your attention as you flashed a glance at it. “it’s nice to meet you. momo told me a little bit about you so it’s nice to finally put a face to the name.”
you groaned out slightly as you rolled your eyes. you look to the side only to see that momo had disappeared from your line of sight, giving a thumbs up to you before momo turned back around to continue her conversation with one of your friends.
“well i hope it was good things, but knowing momo i’m pretty she’s told you everything about me. good and bad.”
fall and winter were two of your favorite seasons in the year and even though you had a slight distaste for the cold. the favoritism of these colder months may or may not have happened if it weren’t for jeongyeon wearing the cutest and coziest outfits, but you didn’t bother wondering anyway.
arriving at the beach, you parked your car in the empty lot. since it was fall, the beach wasn’t the ideal place to be. you didn't mind however in fact, you kind of enjoyed it. sure going into the water would increase the odds of getting sick, but it was just you and jeongyeon with the whole beach to yourselves and so many options for parking areas.
you got out of the car and opened the trunk, fishing coby’s leash, your german shepherd, before he jumped out and sprinted towards the water. that was the only problem bringing him to the beach during the cold months. jeongyeon said that coby was half fish and half dog with the way he loved being around water.
the slight breeze reeling in along with the warm radiance of the sun made it feel even colder than it actually was but as long as you had jeongyeon and coby with you, the conseration was easy to do between you and her. even after first meeting at the party, it was so easy to talk about everything with her.
for your third date, you and jeongyeon decided on doing a mini golf course that was disney themed. after the first two dates prior, it made sense why she chose this to be the third date. she was the embodiment of fun times mixed with competitiveness. ambitious and driven were the best two words to describe her.
“i’ve hit the freaking dwarves mine cart four times already! it’s almost like they don’t want you to make this hole!” you exclaimed as you threw your hand that wasn’t holding the golf club in the air, waving it in frustration at how bad you were at mini golf.
jeongyeon on the other hand was laughing at your antic. unlike you, she was playing a near perfect game, almost 17-18 holes made and she even managed to get a hole in one 6 times. “maybe your form’s wonky.”
“oh you think? maybe you should teach me miss mini golf pro.” you chuckled as you held out your hand, motioning toward the course for her to demonstrate the right way of playing for you. what you were expecting was for her to use her own club and ball for the lesson, but instead she went up behind you using your club and ball, feeling your heart speed up and hands get increasingly moist than they already were.
“what i want you to do is just bend your elbows and back a little, let your knees drop, and just lightly tap the ball. we’re not in the driving range y/n so don’t try to chuck the ball a hundred miles an hour.” jeongyeon giggled as she swung your club with you, her hands holding onto yours. even though she could see a little bit over you, you made it into the hole, passing the stupid mine cart.
“7 tries! what now!?” you smiled victoriously as jeongyeon shook her head with a soft smile as she gave you a high five. she set her ball down at the final hole and brushed her hair behind her ear again. this time you were perplexed when you eyed the light blue hearing aid compared to the pink hearing aid you saw a few instances before. your gaze lingered a little long and saw that jeongyeon got another hole in one.
“how’d you do that?” you ask, setting your ball down as jeongyeon pumps her fist in the air, doing a small celebratory dance. you lined up the ball and swung without a second thought. took three strokes, but better than the high numbers you’ve been putting up all game.
once the game was finished, you offered to buy her some ice cream. while you were ordering, jeongyeon decided to go with butter pecan while you stuck with a simple rocky road.
it was another easy conversation with her, talking about your respective jobs, brushing her ear again noticing the light blue hearing aid again. jeongyeon notices you staring again and you put your hand up to apologize. “sorry, i noticed you had hearing aids when we first met, but i didn’t want to come off as rude about them so i didn’t say anything. i’m sorry again.” you looked down with guilt as your ice cream slowly melted toward one side.
jeongyeon let out a small laugh and smiled at your rambling apology, shaking her head as she took one of her hearing aids out, holding on the flat palm of her hand to show you. “it’s okay. thank you, actually. usually it’s the first thing that people notice about me, so i’m actually surprised that you waited this long to ask me about it.” jeongyeon moves her hand closer to you on the table, encouraging you to have a better look.
“i’ve used hearing aids for pretty much my entire life. i was swimming with my family one vacation and i got water in my ears. they started hurting not long after so when we got it checked we found out to be a double ear infection. it was preventable but it was already too late so most of my hearing was already gone.”
jeongyeon still flashed a small smile on her face as she told her story. it broke your heart to hear, but the way that she kept her gaze on you and the strength in her voice said more than enough of her accepting it.
you didn’t even notice the sympathetic look that was on your face as you handed jeongyeon her hearing aid back, putting it back in her ear as she grabbed your hand that was now soaked in ice cream.
“y/n it’s okay. i’ve been fine about this for a very long time. it was hard at first but the fact that i’ve been able to deal with it this long shouldn’t worry you.”
you nodded, understandingly as you let your fingers intertwine with hers. it felt natural at this point even though you hadn’t known sana for that long as she continued to answer your questions with that peaked smile across her face, making you fall for her more and more.
“so why marine biology? if you don’t mind me asking of course.”
“it did suck when i couldn’t be near a body of water that wasn’t the shower or bathtub, but i just couldn’t stay away. i always loved being near the sea on the beach. i didn’t want my accident to be the only reason holding me back from something that i loved.”
as more questions were being answered, you had more ice cream on your hand that you actually had eaten. invested by everything that jeongyeon was telling you about, you could care less about the melting dessert.
the jacket you were wearing before leaving your apartment had already been discarded on the sand as you chased coby around on the beach. if there was one thing that he loved more than the water, it was his tennis ball. you had about seven balls lying around the apartment and coby loved every single one of them. this ball in particular was meant for the beach, soaked with sand and salt water.
in your gassed state, you crawled your way to jeongyeon, exhausted. you had been chasing coby playing fetch for a little over forty-five minutes and all you wanted to do was stop running around to get your jacket that was on the sand. clipping coby’s leash back onto his collar before plopping over on the towel beside your girlfriend, coby obviously tired as he continued to chew on the ball while laying on the sand.
“not as youthful as you were five years ago huh?” jeongyeon teased as she poked your cheek.
“i’ve never been better even before that.” you smiled as you kissed her cheek, resting your head on her shoulder. although it was a lie since you were heaving like you were in a track race just now, jeongyeon was okay with playing along.
you check your watch to see that it was already 7:56 by the time you adjusted your spot. you took in the view of the waves slowly creeping their way to the shore for last twenty minutes or so. times like these that made you feel extra thankful that you have someone like jeongyeon in your life.
“i think coby wants to have another go.” she says as she took her coat off, already preparing to get sweaty. she bent over to give you a quick peck before taking one of her hearing aids out. “is it okay if i leave these with you for a bit?”
you simply smiled at her and took her hand, pulling her a little closer to you. crouching down as you place your hands on her cheeks, thumb grazing her face as she lightly blushes at you.
“of course baby. i love you. i’ll be here if you need anything, so don’t worry.”
you signed this as best as you could as jeongyeon leaned in, placing another soft kiss on your lips, smiling at the taste of strawberry flavored chapstick she put on before pulling back.
she loved the effort that you put in to sign with her as she handed her hearing aids before unclipping coby’s leash, grabbing the soggy ball from him and throwing it down the beach, running just in front of him to get the ball first.
you watched jeongyeon and coby for a while, the two loves of your life running up and down the beach. jeongyeon’s laugh was like a heavenly chorus and seeing her smile made you do the same. looking down at her hearing aids, noticing that she went with the light blue ones for today. you scrunch your face at the thought of the first time that she took them out around you. something that she trusted you fully now, but it wasn’t always like this back then.
it was late and you were tired, laying on the couch just on your phone, scrolling through tiktok to keep yourself busy until you could go over to jeongyeon’s place.
“another hour until she gets out of work huh.” you sighed out and sat up on the couch, looking around to see if there was anything out of the ordinary for you to fix.
as you scanned the different decor in the living room, you noticed the odd stack of books on your chair adjacent to you, an indication of the amount of time you loved reading as a pastime. grabbing one of the books from the top of the pile and flipping through the pages to quickly skim through.
it was only three books that you looked at quickly and you heard the phone ring on the table. tossing the book back onto the chair as you answered the phone, a dumb smile on your face.
“hi babe! you got out early?”
“c-can you come over now?” jeongyeon answered with a stricken voice. she had been crying obviously and you knew that something was wrong. without a second thought, you grabbed your jacket and keys, flashing by the door and walking to the car.
“okay okay, give me a few minutes. i’m on my way. stay on the phone with me until i get to you.” you said to your girlfriend as you got in the car. the worry was already there as it is, even if there were few words said between you and her, it was a bit reassuring to hear your voice over the phone.
it was a tried and true routine when you got to jeongyeons house. running up the stairs and didn’t even think of knocking the door. you just hung up the phone as you pushed the door open, eyes locking onto jeongyeon as she was huddled up on the ground, knees to her chest and head facing down.
“oh no.” you say, feeling your heart shatter at the image your eyes were receiving as you rushed to her side, wrapping your arms around her, gently pulling her onto the couch with you. her face was on the little opening of your neck as she cried a little more, stroking her hair and rubbing her shoulder to calm her down a bit.
it didn’t happen that jeongyeon was in the state crying but when she was, it just hurt a tad bit more. jeongyeon didn’t want to be that person to let her emotions leak through but seeing her sad and hopeless rather than smiling with a quick remark on her sleeve, it was still difficult to process. took quite a bit for her to calm down but she finally managed to slow her breathing as she looked up at you with teary eyes, red from the amount of crying she just did.
“what happened baby?” you asked as you wiped the tears that were stained on jeongyeon’s cheeks, kissing her a few times as she rummaged up her words.
“i-i was walking back to the car after i got off and a group of people was running behind me. i didn’t see them and i got tripped by one of them. they a-apologized but one of my hearing aids got knocked out from my ear and when i put it back it was all m-messed up and it hurt my e-ears. i was just overwhelmed and driving home a-and-”
you interrupt jeongyeon as you pull her closer, kissing her forehead, rubbing the back of her head to comfort her. this was a lot for her and you didn’t want her to bear herself too much.
“it’s okay, don’t say anymore. can i see the hearing aid that got knocked out from you?” you looked as she shook her head, trying to reach to her ear before she immediately doubled back tucking her face back into your chest. it was startling for her to act like this but you hugged her again, apologizing.
come to think of it, you had never seen jeongyeon without her hearing aids. even when sleeping and you stayed over, they stayed on.
“hey hey it’s okay. i don’t want to hurt you, i just don’t want you to be uncomfortable.” you said, reaching out again but this caused jeongyeon to bury herself deeper into you, feeling her shake in your arms uncontrollably.
a hour passed and jeongyeon finally calmed herself down. you and her made your way to the kitchen sharing a cup of tea. she still looked a little out of it but it was better than how she was on the couch when you came in.
jeongyeon kept her eyes on the cup and exhaled shakily. looking up from your phone, flipping it over and pushing it to the side, placing your hand with hers on the cup.
“everything okay? you seemed really scared when i tried to take your hearing aids out.”
jeongyeon nodded slowly as she looked into your eyes. a blank expression she had that you didn’t enjoy seeing, but something you were willing to handle as she squeezed your hand, brushing her fingertips over your knuckles.
“back in high school, i had a similar pair of blue hearing aids. i was happy with the color but there was some girls in my class that thought otherwise. i was reading one day and one of them took it out of my ears before throwing it on the ground. that pair broke and i spent the rest of that day not being able to hear. i cried when i got home and all my parents could do was just give me an old pair until we were able to buy brand new ones.”
you sensed the anger boiling in your stomach. amazed at the fact that there were people who found it funny to do something like that.
“the next day with the old hearing aids, the same thing happened again. my new ones hadn’t come in yet so i had to spend the rest of that week sitting in the front of the class. i was able to sign normally but i couldn’t hear anything. it felt like everyone was watching me and laughing because i wasn’t able to hear. ever since then i’ve been the only one who takes my hearing aids out and i try to keep them on whenever i’m around people. i know that you’d never be the kind of person to say anything mean or hurt me but…that feeling just stayed with me.”
you sighed out as you walked over to jeongyeon’s side and wrapped her in a hug. you were glad that she was comfortable to the point where she could tell you things like this. it showed that she trusted you and that’s all that mattered. you pulled away form the hug and slowly put your hand out, brushing her hair behind her ear.
jeongyeon’s breath hitched at the contact of your hand to her ear, eyes on your hand as you stopped yourself for a second.
“i don’t have to do this, but if you want me to, i can take these out. i know the broken one is making you uncomfortable here so i just want to help. you know that i would never hurt you.
you stared into jeongyeon eyes, trying to convey that she could trust you with something that’s important than this. she pondered for a few seconds in silence before slowly nodding her head, closing her eyes as she gently grabbed your hands, guiding them to her ears. your hands were shaking for a few seconds as you tried to ignore the pounding of your heart within you.
without messing anything up, you took the hearing aids out with ease, letting a soft sound of your breath out your mouth as you set them on the counter. jeongyeon opened her eyes again, now unable to hear as she gave you a small smile, tears welling up again from the corners of her eyes. she let out a long breath, one that sounded like she’s been holding back for years and kissed your cheek.
she breaks the hug after a few seconds before signing ‘i love you’ as you pull her closer to you once again, deepening the love and trust you had for each other even more now.
“it’s getting late, no?” you signed to jeongyeon as she came back to you after running for twenty minutes with coby.
“i know but five more minutes please?”
you smiled at her plea as you checked the time to see that it was almost 9:30. the beach would close at ten so you found it to be okay to stay just a little longer as you slid your phone back in your pocket, grabbing the hearing aids set next to you, putting them in your hand and offering it to jeongyeon.
“do you want these back? you don’t have to though i’ll just keep holding onto them.”
jeongyeon thinks for a second before shaking her head at your offer, curling your hand up in a loose fist, protecting her hearing aids until she decides when to put them back on. you didn’t understand how she truly felt, but you did know why she wanted to not have them on from time to time. it was nice to not hear and just be present in the moment.
not long after, jeongyeon brings coby back, simply nodding as that was her cue to start cleaning your little spot on the beach up to head back home. before you started cleaning up however, you handed the hearing aids back to jeongyeon as she put them back on. you didn’t want jeongyeon to do the work so she just kept coby occupied while she watched you put everything back seamlessly before heading back to the car.
coby hopped back into the backseat of the car as you catch jeongyeon taking a picture of the moon before looking through her photos of the sunset she also took earlier.
“that is a nice sunset picture.” you say over her shoulder as she turns around, wrapping her arms around your neck, inching her face closer to yours.
“thank you for coming with me y/n.” jeongyeon says to you as you tried not to let the giddiness come out on your face.
you leaned in for a kiss. the kind that you and her won’t stop sharing for many years to come. it carried so much intimacy almost like the end of a coming of age movie, it wasn’t corny but in that moment with her lips on yours, it just felt right.
another few gentle kisses were shared as you pull your head back from hers, eyes drinking in every single little detail that was on her face before signing with just one hand,
“i love you.”

A/N: This has been due a long time, I’m sorry it took so long anon😭, I did half of it and then was stumped for the longest time. This was also due because Jeongyeon (and Dahyun) were the only members who haven’t gotten their own fics yet on my blog. Anyway, I hope you like it anon!❤️

Warming up to you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You didn’t really understand it, how your confession to Jeongyeon worked. It was more of something you did to just get it off your chest but she ended up saying she felt the same. You felt ecstatic though a bit skeptical and a bit guilty for feeling skeptical. You couldn’t help it though, you never really got any signs from Jeongyeon that she liked you back.
She treated you like any other friend of yours. There wasn’t any times where you caught her staring, no moment where your hands touched and lingered, nothing, absolutely nothing. Yet, she seemed almost eager to say she likes you as well. Maybe you were overthinking it, after all Jeongyeon never seems to be very eager towards skinship.
Nevertheless, you had been dating Jeongyeon for about 4 weeks now. It’s been….slow to say the least, you were shy and nervous while Jeongyeon seemed really reserved and restrained. Your relationship would seem like a close friendship to a 3rd person.
However, you made up your mind to break down the barrier of awkwardness and take the first step even though you already had been trying to do just that. Deciding that it’d be best to just be direct with Jeongyeon and tell her that you’d really like it if she shows you some more affection since you were starting to feel like this was just a forced relationship.
But of course she had a busy day today so she’d probably be tired when the two of you meet and wouldn’t be in a mood to hear you rant. You sigh and then frown, that doesn’t matter though does it, after all you just want to communicate your feelings which is important in a relationship.
Hours later, a weary Jeongyeon arrives and immediately goes to your couch, collapsing on it. Your mind was made up, confronting her after she eats and decide whether this relationship continues or not. You bring her some coffee and some pasta since it’s practically dinner time and you felt hungry as well. For some reason, as soon as you brought the food, Jeongyeon looked at you differently, almost lovingly you could say. It made you look away and even feel butterflies in your stomach.
“Y/n….you are really amazing you know”, she said, looking at you gratefully. “You didn’t have to do all this for me”, she takes a deep breath, “You really make me feel so lucky and happy”.
You felt a bit dumbstruck, she hadn’t really ever talked to you like this before and you didn’t know how to react. Before you could do anything, Jeongyeon continued, making the choice for you instead.
Grabbing your hand and kissing your forehead causing you to slowly redden. “I’m really glad to have you by my side and I really mean it. I know it doesn’t seem like it but I do care about you.”
Hearing that from her felt very relieving but it also hurt, sure she said what you had been wanting to hear for weeks now but words aren’t enough. You felt your heart pump and took a shaky breath, nodding with a polite smile.
“Did I, did I something wrong? Y/N? You look….”, she asked, concerned.
“It’s, its….”, you felt your determination from earlier begin to fade now that you had to speak up, “nothing…I just, never mind”, you felt frustrated and angry now, at yourself for not being able to speak up and also at Jeongyeon for making you feel this way in the first place.
She looks at you, seemingly thinking hard and then nods, deciding not to push you and begins to eat. You hoped she’d push you further because you seemed so concerned but no, Jeongyeon once again seemed to brush past you and your feelings. “This is really good!”, she comments while eating and that’s when you finally snap.
“No it’s not at all good”, you say harshly. “You just treat me like some servant. You are happy to eat the food I make, receive the texts I send and hear the words I speak but never reciprocate, always so distant. So cold and insensitive. You act like touching me would be an inconvenience, like it would make you dirty.”, you take a deep breath, trying not to let tears fall but the shakiness of your voice makes your stance obvious, “At first I brushed it off but it’s been almost a month and you just are the same, so cold and indifferent. Is it really so hard to tell me you love me or to kiss or even just hug me without me practically begging you. And don’t say you thanked and appreciated me now because it really doesn’t matter. If you didn’t like me you shouldn’t have accepted my confession and been with me. Why do you play with my emotions like this-.”, you stop, knowing saying anything more would just result in you crying and then would just make everything worse.
Jeongyeon looked at you with disbelief and then hurt, guilt and sadness. She tried to reach for your hand but you pulled back harshly causing her to flinch and look even more hurt. “Y/n….please, I didn’t mean any of this. I just….”, she spoke softly and kept her head down, “you might not realize it but I’ve been crazy for you for so long.”
“Oh that’s been so obviously visible”, you interrupt sarcastically.
“No, I…”, she looked really hurt by that and you did immediately feel bad but it was too late, you were at your breaking point and needed to know for real where the two of you were headed. “I just didn’t want to annoy you, I do want to hug you and kiss you and hold you. Cuddle you and whisper sweet things to you. I really do. And I hope you believe me. But I’ve worried that, it’s silly I know but I’ve worried you might not like that side of me.”, she looked up at you again, tears slowly rolling down and that broke your heart in a million pieces. “Everyone always sees me as the girl crush, where I have to be the brave one, stoic one and I can’t be very cheerful or girly because that won’t fit my image. And if I appear to be a different person than what you think I am will you stop loving me? Maybe, maybe not but the very possibility of that scares me so much I didn’t even dare to try it. If you give me another chance maybe I’ll try to-”, she stops when you suddenly sit down next to her and hug her tightly, taken completely by surprise Jeongyeon gasps and then much to your surprise and disbelief begins to sob, burying her face in your shoulder. She manages to tell you that she’s thankful to you for hearing her out but it’s hard to make out exactly with her sobbing.
After she manages to calm down, she still holds on to you, she keeps on apologizing and saying she’ll do better and you feel worse each time she says it because you only wanted to talk to her about it not make her cry and feel so hurt. But despite your reassurances she still keeps apologizing.
After a few minutes she finally pulls back, looking at you longingly, “if only you could see yourself through my eyes, feel what I feel and listen to what I think when I see you, you’d know how much I love and how badly I want to express it, all the time.”
You don’t reply and instead just lean in and kiss her and she kisses back, like she really means it for the first time and it drives you crazy, butterflies in your stomach, your face flushing and your heart flipping. After a few moments, you pull back, out of breath in your excitement. “That was nice”, you say meekly.
“That’s not even the tip of the iceberg of what I want to do and how I want to express”, Jeongyeon replies sincerely. “Like Y/N, you don’t get it, I just want to, I have just been wanting to-”, she leans in and kisses you again, harder this time, grabbing your facing with both hands, her grip seemingly tightening every few seconds.
After almost a minute, she lets you go, both of you panting and red faced. “See, I want to touch you, it doesn’t inconvenience me at all, I love it, more than I can ever express. So if you really are fine with this side of me, I’ll do my best to show you how I feel and how much I care.”
“I…a-suppose I’d lov-lik-love,like that”, you stumble over your words, still not over the way she kissed you.
“Thank you y/n, I love you and now I want to show you more love, is that okay?”, she asks, happy now but still a bit cautious.
You blush, “M-more? Didn’t we just…okay, I suppose we can do that, I’d like that”
She smiles teasingly now standing up and towering over you, “That wasn’t even a warm up Y/N”, she pushes you down, “I have to make up for hurting you and for the month of holding back, so I guess we’ll be busy for quite a bit”, she smirks as she begins to kiss you.
Feeling overwhelmed and too excited you try to make an excuse to calm down, “W-wait but the food, you haven’t eaten yet and I’m not-”
“Shush, I have my sights set on something else”, she teases and leans in, “it looks a lot more tasty to me”…….

Although she had never said anything about it, Nayeon could tell that Jeongyeon was a bit upset that she'd missed her birthday. Nayeon knew that Jeongyeon didn't hold it against her since their schedules had been beyond unbearable for the past few months, but she still felt bad that she couldn't do anything other than send a quick text and a fruit basket.
The lights were off when Jeongyeon came home which was strange since she left for her schedule after Nayeon, and she knew that her girlfriend wasn’t supposed to be home yet. She took her shoes off in the entryway and flicked the switch for the hallway light. When it didn't turn on after a few more flicks, she sighed and slowly walked down the dark hallway, keeping her hand on the wall in case she bumped into something.
The further Jeongyeon got down the hallway, the more confused she got. As she felt along the wall, trying to let her eyes adjust to the darkness, a faint red glow from the living room appeared. The glow grew bigger as she made it to the entryway of the living room.
In the center sat a single chair with a blindfold on the seat. Jeongyeon looked around the living room and carefully took a few steps in. She bent down in front of the chair and picked the blindfold up, a small piece of paper falling out as she flipped the blindfold over.
Jeongyeon picked the paper up and unfolded it, a slight brush creeping up her neck as she read it.
i'm sorry i missed your birthday, baby. but i promise i'll make it up to you if you put the blindfold on! - 🐰❤️
Already, Jeongyeon could feel her palms getting sweaty. She tucked the note into her back pocket and shrugged her backpack off, tossing it beside the entertainment center. Although she had every right to be skeptical that someone had broken into their apartment, she was sure that it was Nayeon’s messy handwriting on the note.
Jeongyeon sat down on the chair and slid the blindfold over her eyes with shaky hands. Her heartbeat sped up a little as she waited, the anticipation of what her girlfriend had for her making her thoughts run wild.
Before Jeongyeon had too much time to overthink, the angelic sound of a harp filled the room. Jeongyeon turned her head towards the speakers in the entertainment system and let herself get drawn into the music. It was light and sensual and did nothing but make her want to take her blindfold off.
Nayeon walked into the living room from their bedroom and made her way towards Jeongyeon. She stood behind Jeongyeon, running a gentle hand over her girlfriend's chest.
Jeongyeon jumped a bit and shuddered under Nayeon's light touch, turning her head to try and look behind her despite being blindfolded. She reached back to feel Nayeon, but her girlfriend had already moved to stand in front of her.
Nayeon bent down and gently squeezed Jeongyeon's thighs. She let her hands trail up to Jeongyeon’s hips before she slowly took the blindfold off.
Jeongyeon blinked a few times to let her eyes adjust to the sudden red light before she fully absorbed the sight in front of her. Nayeon took a few steps back, hands clasped behind her back as she posed, slightly sticking her ass out for her girlfriend.
Jeongyeon wished she could burn this image of Nayeon into her brain. Nayeon was wearing a Playboy bunny outfit, complete with the iconic ears and cottontail. It hugged every single curve of Nayeon's slim body perfectly and Jeongyeon was torn between drooling over it and tearing it off her girlfriend.
"Like it, Jeongie?" Nayeon asked, her innocent tone in complete contrast with her sexy look. She shook her ass a little, cottontail wiggling as she flashed Jeongyeon that smile she was so fond of.
Jeongyeon could only nod, mouth hanging open as she tried to reach out and grab Nayeon's hips to pull her closer. To this, Nayeon just gave her girlfriend a little pout and swatted her hands away.
Nayeon took a few more steps back and started to sway in time with the song, moving her hands slowly and sensually up her hips and sides. She slowly ran them over her breasts, giving them a gentle squeeze before she winked at Jeongyeon and sat down on her lap.
It took everything in Jeongyeon to not touch every part of Nayeon's body as her beautiful bunny danced on her. Jeongyeon's grip on the chair was so strong her knuckles turned white when Nayeon decided to grind her hips into the now very prominent bulge in her girlfriend's pants.
Jeongyeon hissed at the pressure, eyes glued to the swell of Nayeon's ass as she ground into her bulge over and over again. Nayeon turned around on her girlfriend’s lap and wrapped her arms around her neck. She gently scratched the nape of Jeongyeon’s neck with her nails, giggling at the breathy moan her girlfriend let out.
When Nayeon decided that Jeongyeon had had enough, she got up and moved behind her again, bending down to gently suck and nip at the sensitive spot just under Jeongyeon's ear.
"I've missed you so much, Jeongie. Been so lonely without you and I just need you to touch me." Nayeon whispered into Jeongyeon's ear, her words and breath against her neck setting Jeongyeon's nerves on fire.
The second the song faded out, Jeongyeon stood up out of the chair. She pushed it out of the way and wrapped her hands around Nayeon's hips, pulling her girlfriend’s body flush against her own. "Is this my birthday gift, bunny? Or do you have more for me?"
Nayeon looked up at Jeongyeon, her eyes filled with lust as she shook her head and wrapped her arms around her girlfriend's neck again. "Wore this just 'cause I want you to take it off me. 'm already so wet for you, Jeongie."
Jeongyeon's breath hitched in her throat when Nayeon pulled her hand down, directing her to feel how she'd already soaked through the thin fabric of her little outfit. Jeongyeon ran a finger over her clothed folds, finally giving in at the small moan that fell out of Nayeon's mouth.
With ease, Jeongyeon swiftly picked Nayeon up and carried her to their bedroom. Jeongyeon gently set her down on their bed, dimming the lights as she slowly unbuckled her belt. "As much as I love that sexy little outfit on you, bunny, I really want it off of you. Now."
A shiver ran down Nayeon's spine as she took her time taking her outfit off. She unclipped the collar with the bowtie and tossed it onto the floor, slowly taking unsnapping both cuffs on her wrists. By the time she had worked her way to slip the bodysuit off, Jeongyeon's cock was straining in her pants.
Nayeon dropped the bodysuit to the floor, her naked figure on full display for her girlfriend to see. She reached up to take the ears off but stopped when Jeongyeon cleared her throat.
Shaking her head, Jeongyeon walked over to where Nayeon was sitting on the bed. In one smooth motion, Jeongyeon slid her belt off and pulled her pants down, tossing both into a corner of the room to be rediscovered in the morning. She gently took Nayeon's hands off the bunny ears and kissed her palms, setting her hands in her lap.
"Keep them on for me." Jeongyeon said in a whisper. She pushed Nayeon up the bed until her back was resting against the headboard. "I want to fuck you like this, bunny."
A low moan slipped out of Nayeon's mouth as Jeongyeon said this. She watched with hungry eyes as Jeongyeon threw her shirt off, leaving her girlfriend in just her boxer briefs.
Nayeon loved it when Jeongyeon wore them. Not only did the boxer briefs make her already impressive length look even bigger, but they also hugged the curves of her girlfriend's ass so well.
Jeongyeon leaned down, her lips claiming Nayeon's to taste her peppermint lip gloss. Their tongues danced together, Jeongyeon ultimately claiming dominance as she ground her barely clothed cock into Nayeon's soaking wet center.
Kisses, licks, and nips were peppered from Nayeon's neck all the way down to her breasts as Jeongyeon took a stiff nipple between her lips, sucking and biting as Nayeon's throaty moans echoed through the room.
Jeongyeon smirked against her girlfriend's skin and snaked a hand down to run her fingers in between the slick folds. Nayeon's hips involuntarily bucked up into Jeongyeon's hand, seeking more friction.
Jeongyeon dipped two fingers into Nayeon's tight, wet heat before bringing them up to rub small circles into her clit. Eliciting a low groan from Nayeon and her nails clawing down her back, Jeongyeon continued to tease her clit and mark her breasts.
"What do you want from me, bunny?" Jeongyeon asked and looked up with desire to see Nayeon's blown pupils. Even more than when she was blissed out from her cock, Jeongyeon loved seeing her girlfriend like this.
"Please, Jeong," Nayeon panted, her hips canting up against the palm of her girlfriend's hand, "Need you in me."
"Since you asked so nicely." Jeongyeon smiled against Nayeon's skin and with ease, pushed two fingers into Nayeon's tight heat. "Fuck, bunny. Always so tight for me."
Nayeon's grip on Jeongyeon's back tightened, her body flushed with pleasure as her walls clenched around the sudden intrusion.
Jeongyeon looked up at her girlfriend's bunny ears and rubbed one of them with her free hand, a small smile forming on her lips. "You look so good for me like this, Nay. You gonna let me fuck you like a good little bunny?"
Nayeon whined and nodded her head vigorously as Jeongyeon set a moderate pace, her girlfriend's fingers thoroughly coated with her juices within seconds.
Jeongyeon plunged her fingers in and out of Nayeon's center, her thrusts picking up every few seconds with the addition of her thumb rubbing against Nayeon's clit.
Not realizing how long it had been since they had sex, Nayeon could already feel herself teetering over the edge. Jeongyeon's undying attention to her breasts and her fingers curling up to hit that sweet spot inside of her over and over again had Nayeon squirming already.
As Nayeon's walls rhythmically clenched and unclenched around Jeongyeon's fingers, she could tell that her girlfriend was close. Nayeon's breathing picked up and her nails dug deeper into Jeongyeon's lower back.
Nayeon was just about to cum when Jeongyeon slowly pulled her fingers out, leaving Nayeon to whine and grab Jeongyeon's wrist to try and push her fingers back in.
Her whines were quickly cut off as Jeongyeon pulled Nayeon's hand away. She laced their fingers together and positioned herself between Nayeon's legs, cock easily sliding into her girlfriend's center.
"Oh shit, bunny." Jeongyeon let out a low groan and rested her forehead on Nayeon's shoulder. Jeongyeon bottomed out inside of Nayeon, her hips still as she tried to process just how good Nayeon felt wrapped around her again.
Once Jeongyeon caught her breath, she started to slowly thrust her hips, the slick sounds of Nayeon's wetness filling the room. "God, bunny. Needed you so bad. Need to fill you up."
Nayeon's moans and whimpers only spurred Jeongyeon on, keeping a fairly slow pace to drag out the all too rare intimate time they had together.
"Your little outfit was cute, bunny, but nothing beats this pussy. You're always so tight for me. Always make me feel so good."
The wet slap of their hips connecting grew louder and louder as Jeongyeon picked up her pace. She kept her head close to Nayeon's to lick and suck her neck and reached her hand down to rub Nayeon's clit again.
"Yes, Jeong! Faster!" Nayeon whined out, her hands grabbing Jeongyeon's hips to try and pull her impossibly close.
Jeongyeon's body was on fire as she thrusted her hips at a relentless pace. She put a little more pressure as she rubbed Nayeon's clit, determined to make her cum first.
"Such a good bunny. Gonna cum for me."
As Nayeon tipped over the edge, her walls tightened around Jeongyeon's cock, suffocating it as she felt her entire body shake. She clung onto Jeongyeon, pulling her so close that her girlfriend was barely able to keep moving inside of her.
Jeongyeon carried Nayeon through her orgasm, her movements getting sloppy before she thrusted hard, her body shuddering as she pumped her load deep inside.
Nayeon let out a satisfied groan at Jeongyeon's weight on top of her and the feeling of being filled. Wrapping her arms around Jeongyeon, she rubbed her girlfriend's back, waiting until her breathing evened out.
Jeongyeon lifted her head from Nayeon's shoulder, loose strands of hair sticking to her sweaty forehead. Nayeon smiled and ran her fingers through Jeongyeon's hair, cupping her cheek to pull her down for a tender kiss.
"I might have to wear the bunny ears more often if you're going to fuck me like that."
Jeongyeon chuckled and laid back down against Nayeon, basking in the afterglow of her bunny's perfectly late birthday gift.

for as long as you remember your mornings in your life, it’s always been fast and quick, as each member of the house always had to go somewhere. dad? had to go to work early. mom? had to also go to work early. your siblings? go to university early despite coming home at 2 am smelling like booze.
you had adjusted to this lifestyle even if you didn’t realize it. the fast paced mornings always making you quick to your feet and quick to work all the time, despite the lack of breakfast or lack of sleep from overtime
it was a hard thing to break, as you never learned how to leave some extra in the morning to slow down. your body already on autopilot before you can try
luckily, a solution comes in the form of your wife, yoo jeongyeon
it every morning on your free days that she’s the one in control of the pacing, bringing you both to a slow peaceful start each time. perfect to enjoy each other’s warmth and love
speaking of love
"you should stop staring" you mumble sleepily, your hand trying to reach out to her, successfully landing on her cheek. "it's both endearing and creepy. i don't know which one to use or feel"
"good morning angel" she tucks in a stray hair from your face, eyes gleaming as you slowly blink your way to being awake "today is a big day for us”
“it is” you smile, melting her heart into a mush “but we have the morning to ourselves”
“we have the whole week to ourselves” she laughs but leans in to give you a kiss, soothing out the worries dancing around her "you get me every morning of this week"
"you get to indulge in me every morning" you kiss her some more and maybe that's enough to get you both out of bed and into a healthy and hearty breakfast
maybe. you both choose the other option
“i do” she melts into you, your bodies gravitating together despite the fact that you’re already skin to skin “my precious angel”
“my gorgeous princess” your hands gently comb her hair as she indulges in kissing every part of your face over and over again
“we do have to get up” jeongyeon mumbles, yet she doesn’t stop with the kisses “jihyo might have my head if we’re late for brunch”
“i’m even surprised that she had the time to corner down the others for brunch” you don’t stop her either, even letting her kiss you slow till you’re breathless and craving for more
“ok i think this fills up my daily quota” she finally lets you go, all love struck for her “let’s go plan her wedding my angel”

"You could have sent me a message" is the first thing Jeongyeon says to the woman who just entered her office bowing ninety degrees with a serious face. "This better be important, Mina-ssi, no one should see you enter this building" she says, warning the young woman.
She just nods as she looks for the right words thinking about the dialogue she has been practicing in her head since she decided to address this issue face to face without intermediaries. At first she hesitates, but decides to be clear instead of beating around the bush.
"Excuse me Jeongyeon-nim, but I think this will interest you" she finally speaks and the other waves her hand inviting her to sit across the table of her huge office, making her take a seat immediately before continuing. "ZoneTech is starting to work on video games."
As soon as those words leave her mouth, the Signal Systems CEO's face changes and her body takes on a different posture, her jaw tightens and her fists clench tightly. On the other side of the big desk Mina, analyzing her every move, notices her obvious frustration. For a few seconds she remains silent waiting for any question or comment from the other woman, but this one, who is somewhere between surprise and anger, does not utter a single sound beyond a breath that deepens and accelerates as the rage invades her. This is a personal attack. It’s not the first time something like this has happened; after all, this whole war has been going on for more than half a century.
In 1942, friends and partners in business, Yoo Byungho and Park Youngho, opened a home furnishings store. At that time, the country was going through difficult times with the Japanese occupation and the subsequent Korean War that led to so many years of political instability, but thanks to Yoo's creativity and Park's sales skills, the business not only survived but grew from a humble store to a small and promising company. In the early 1960s, a new era of prosperity would come for the country and for these entrepreneurs as well when they expanded the business importing and selling  household appliances, founding Zone Systems. Unfortunately, due to constant disagreements between Yoo Byungho and Park Youngho, this pioneering company would not reach its fifth anniversary, as the partners broke their alliance and created Signal Systems and ZoneTech, respectively. Against all odds, taking different paths was the key to success for both.
Today, Signal Systems and ZoneTech have established themselves as the most important companies in the country, having a great influence on economic, political and cultural development. Despite the impressive achievements of each of them individually, it is impossible to talk about one without mentioning the other, the reason for this is not the shared origins but the numbers, data and rankings always place one behind the other with slight difference, if one year the market has been dominated by ZoneTech, it is most likely that the following year those numbers will be surpassed by Signal Systems. If you ask any technology expert, economic expert or ordinary consumer which brand is better, the answer will never be unanimous.
And it is a really complex answer since both cover the same businesses such as consumer electronics, technology, finance and, in recent years, have incorporated entertainment. The only thing that makes them different is that SignalSystems is known for creating and using the most advanced technology always wrapped in the most sophisticated designs, while ZoneTech stands out for making that technology accessible to the general public with more affordable prices and more practical designs.
This is how a disagreement between partners has now become a war between the largest South Korean business groups, a battle that has been going on for six decades and in which four generations of the Yoo and Park families have already participated. A dispute that is now at its peak since the great-granddaughters of the two businessmen, Yoo Jeongyeon and Park Jihyo, took over as CEO, and, like their ancestors, they were friends before they were rivals.
"How do you know?" is the first thing she asks.
"Well, as you know I am a programmer. This last month they have been doing individual interviews to workers from each of the departments telling us that they are looking for new ways to organize the work teams according to our interests, aptitudes and skills, since they want to release different products next year and they need the highest efficiency" she begins to explain confusing Jeongyeon, who doesn't quite understand what Mina is trying to say with all of this. Still she listens to her carefully trying to get answers.
"At first they were normal questions about our work interests and whether we had hobbies related to our work, but when I mentioned my liking for video games they seemed interested. The questions started out generic... what kind of video games I play and so on, but then they asked me if I think the company would have the capacity to create their own games and if I would be interested in working on that hypothetical project" she seems to conclude.
The CEO, with an increasing anger, gets up from the desk without knowing what to do with her hands and tries to calm down her nerves before speaking "I want information, I want data and I want documents that prove what you tell me, that's what I pay you for, not for you to come to me with assumptions''. At no time she raises her voice, but her tone is stern and threatening, although not enough for the programmer to lose her signature serene demeanor.
"I know, that's why I didn’t come until now" she replies "I was handed this morning" she says as she takes a folder out of her briefcase and puts it on the table.
Seeing that it is a folder with the orange logo of the rival company neatly printed and partially covered by a red and black stamp warning that it is confidential information, she returns to her chair and takes the papers in her hands. A quick read is all it takes for Jeongyeon to come to the same conclusion as her informant "ZoneTech is going to create a video game" she mutters to herself. As she reads her jaw tightens again and her fists clench the pages until she stands up and begins to scan each page. When she has a copy of the thirty pages that make up the document, she places them back in the folder and returns it to its owner.
"You may leave, Mina-ssi" is the last thing her boss says and she does what she is told, taking the folder and her briefcase, not without bowing before walking through the door.
Once she is alone in her office, she goes through the papers again, this time more carefully and without losing detail. Unlike Park Jihyo, she does get involved in the development process of many products, as both her hobbies and her studies have always leaned towards engineering and programming and not on business and economics like her rival. In fact, the ten video games that have been released in the last three years under the Signal Games brand were Yoo Jeongyeon's own idea and creation, who saw an opportunity in this market in which the company never dared to venture before. Perhaps this is why she gets the best of her for the first time and grabs the phone.
"Dahyun-ssi, I need the usual apology basket for Miss Im, but this time write ‘thank you’ on the card" she asks her secretary.
Just a few meters away from the door of her office, Kim Dahyun tries to hide her surprise and takes note of the instructions given by her boss "Okay, you will have the basket ready in an hour. Should I also add the usual bouquet with flowers that mean friendship, or would you rather I also exchange them for thank yous?"?"
"Mhm… good point, Dahyun-ssi, I hadn't thought of that. Use both of them and add some blue if possible, I trust you. When it's ready, send everything to her home and also free up my schedule for the rest of the day. Thank you very much."
Of course, the favor she asks to her longtime best friend, Nayeon, costs her more than a basket of her favorite foreign snacks, three packages of the best meat on the continent and of course the latest model of the Signal System cell phone. ₩ 10 billion for his next movie is exactly what it costs her. That is the price of Jihyo's personal phone number. For anyone else it would be crazy, but for the CEO, who was putting her friend in such a compromising situation after the latter had for years stayed out of the fights between them, the price seems more than reasonable.
The negotiation was not easy, but as soon as Nayeon had the basket on her doors and the first payment for the financing for her next film project, Jeongyeon received a message with the phone number. Minutes later, at the other end of the Central Business District, Park Jihyo smiles with satisfaction when her phone lights up with the name: Yoo Jeongyeon.
"I was waiting for your call, Jeongyeon-ssi" is what Jeongyeon hears after a single tone.
"Then I'll save the explanations, I have an offer. It will have to be face to face and just the two of us. As soon as possible. I want neither intermediaries nor interveners."
"Where will we meet? You know perfectly well that if we are seen in the same building the effect on the stock market would be immediate, but if we do it in secret and the press catches us it will be all over the news making all kinds of assumptions and spreading all kinds of rumors. And I don't think your father would like that, would he?" she says with a sarcastic and mocking tone.
"Jihyo-sunbaenim, I'm not for your stupid games right now" she says with a tone that denotes that her patience at the moment is at its limit. "I'll take care of the place, it will be neutral, casual and public enough so as not to raise more suspicion than is necessary. Try to keep it discreet and of course don't wear or bring anything that would imply that this is a business related meeting" she makes clear with a serious tone that only provokes Jihyo more to keep pushing Jeongyeon's buttons.
"And why would you and I be in one place if not for work?" she says with obvious sarcasm in her tone that doesn't go unnoticed by the other one.
"We can just be some old friends getting together to catch up" as soon as she says that a loud and snarky laugh is heard but no words precede it, so she keeps talking. "I'll send you the address, see you there" she declares.
"Wait!" she says before she can cut the call "Did you have my contact saved or did your spy give it to you?" she adds but before she gets an answer she hears a few beeps indicating that the call has ended.
That’s how the first private conversation the two have had in four years ends, a conversation that leaves both of them with such a strange feeling. It's not as if they haven't spoken during all this time, they have actually crossed some words on more than one occasion during all kinds of events acting as complete strangers with empty words without any purpose beyond showing a cordial and polite relationship in front of colleagues, business partners, politicians and the press. Now, although the conversation was brief and straight to the point it felt personal somehow with the warnings, the sarcasm and the challenging undertones of the conversation that is never present or at least not so obvious in the formal and aseptic talks they usually have in front of others.
It was almost like going back to that usual bickering between the two that used to annoy Nayeon during their high school years when the three of them were inseparable friends. However, the difference was that this time it did not come from playfulness but from the current hostility that exists between the two businesswomen.
There was a time when things were different. It had always been Jeongyeon and Nayeon until the first week of their senior year when they were approached by a short girl with big bright eyes that introduced herself to Jeongyeon even though they both perfectly knew well who the other was and with determination told her that she would be as good or better then her. From that day their friendship but also a friendly competition between the three of them began. By the middle of the school year, Jihyo had already surpassed the highest grades and top scores in all the clubs and sports that up to then belonged to his unnies Nayeon and Jeongyeon.
This situation, far from distancing or confronting them, made them get closer and become great friends. Despite the rivalry that had marked the relationship between their families, Jeongyeon did not mind because she expected the new students to beat records and records just as she had done since she arrived. On the other hand, Nayeon enjoyed having someone as competitive as her while Jihyo did not really care as she considered Jeongyeon her greatest competition and example to follow because, like her, she would inherit a big company and had to be as good as her. This was not the case with Nayeon, who, although she had an impressive academic record like the other two, she was the daughter of an actor and a writer, so outside of school their competition was a simple game with no major meaning for both of them.
Needless to say, many things have changed over the years and nothing is the same now. Nayeon has been there for both of them as a friend, confidant partner in crime and sometimes even as a wingwoman, but they are no longer '3mix' as they used to call their small squad. Now they are just Nayeon and Jeongyeon on one side and Nayeon and Jihyo on the other.
Two days after the call, the two find themselves staring defiantly at each other in one of the best restaurants in the city. The older one arrived early and was already seated in a more distant and private corner of the establishment when Jihyo arrived led by some waiter. As soon as he left, they exchanged a cordial greeting and the first words.
"So a restaurant," is the first thing Jihyo says with a provocative smile as she takes a seat.
"Can you think of anything better? I thought you usually like my ideas quite a bit" she replies immediately without thinking much and as soon as those words leave her mouth she regrets it, she has come here to look for solutions not to make the whole situation worse.
"It's not a complaint, but don't think that by inviting me to dinner I'll take you up on your offer" she replies in the same defensive tone.
Jeongyeon rolls her eyes at Jihyo's unassertive attitude, although she understands that she herself has not been very welcoming so far. They haven't even ordered yet, so there's still time to change the course of the conversation and the dinner, so she intends to do her best to leave this restaurant with a closed deal and not a fight that will make the problem grow even bigger. And she knows for a fact that falling for Jihyo's games will only make things worse.
As if the waiter had heard her thoughts, he appears with the menu giving them a chance to make a fresh start and forget the little run-in they had just a few seconds ago. They both take it, thanking the waiter and strat going through the expensive and exclusive dishes, looking up from time to time to stare at each other, as if making sure that they are really at the same table about to share a dinner, just the two of them with no one else around. The last time they did something like this was so long ago that it seems like a dream, as if those memories are not theirs. Jeongyeon looks at her trying to read her, long ago a single grin, frown or sneer was enough to guess her mood or if something was on her mind, but now it almost feels like the person in front of her is a complete stranger.
Jihyo is no longer the enthusiastic, competitive, playful but insecure and innocent teenager who used to call her unnie with those big bright eyes, those cheeks that made you want to pinch them and her characteristic long brown hair. Now she has an ambitious and confident woman in front of her, still with reminiscences of her playful personality, it is obvious that she still likes to play games, but they are not innocent anymore.
She knows what she wants and does whatever it takes to get it, that is something she has made that clear to Jeongyeon these past years with her mind games, strategies and foul play. The sparkle in her eyes has disappeared and they are no longer so expressive, the gaze is cold and she feels like she is analyzing each and every one of her moves. Her appearance seems to have changed according to her personality, it is obvious that she looks much more mature, she is now a 26 year old woman, but it is not only the passing of time, her look is also a statement.
Her hair is shoulder-length, a little longer than hers, and dyed black. Her features are more defined and her jaw is sharp, her characteristic cheeks have disappeared with age, but her mole is still on the tip of her nose. Actually, her whole body is much more defined even though the black blazer style dress she wears covers her arms, Jeongyeon got a glimpse of her toned and tanned legs before she sat down.
"You look great, Jihyo-sunbaenim" she compliments her to break the ice and tries to show that she didn’t come here looking for a challenge or a fight.
This catches the younger one off guard, surprising her, none of the thousand scenarios of the encounter she has been creating in her head these days had prepared her to receive a kind comment from Jeongyeon that seemed sincere. She has always been a person with a cold and distant attitude, saying nice words, giving or receiving displays of affection is not her thing, or at least it wasn't. Maybe she has changed too, Jihyo thinks to herself.
"You too, you look good, Jeongyeon-ssi" she replies with a small smile without showing her teeth and takes the liberty to tease. "I see your style has been refined, I hope your dad didn't have to burn your sweatshirts like she used to promise."
The comment makes them both relax and the tension dissipates slightly with their soft laughter, for a moment they seem to know each other and it’s like nothing has happened between them just for a few seconds.
When they were teenagers and were forced to attend all types of social and business related events, it was common to see Jeongyeon wearing a sweatshirt among the elegant women's dresses and the boring men's suits. That always annoyed her father, but also the young Jihyo who would always lectured her about the importance of etiquette and reminded her that in the future she would be the heiress of an important company, so she should dress like one.
Now Jeongyeon is in front of her and still keeps a somewhat more casual style than expected from the CEO of one of the biggest South Korean companies with her blonde highlights in some parts of her hair and her characteristic tomboy style, now much more sophisticated. Black pants, a beige shirt with a brown turtleneck sweater underneath. Comfortable and discreet, but it really suits her.
Jihyo shakes those thoughts out of her head when the taller one asks if she would like to have the same wine as her. Usually, Jihyo would order a beer, but in a restaurant like this it's more suitable if she orders wine, especially when Jeongyeon points out the wine she chose would go very well with her meat. It kind of hurts her pride but she knows she is right.
After the waiter takes their order they continue a conversation so superficial that they will surely forget it before dessert, however they do not take their eyes off each other analyzing and memorizing every movement, no matter how subtle it may be. It is not until they drink their second glass of wine that Jihyo dares to talk about the reason that has brought them here, or rather to ask what it is.
"I’m guessing you didn't invite me to dinner to talk about wine," Jihyo says with a slightly sarcastic tone. "What's that offer you mentioned? It must be very interesting for you to have dared to call me and even put Nayeon-unnie in the middle of it."
At this Jeongyeon nods "Always straight to the point, some things never change" she says receiving a shrug in response. "Well let's get down to business then...". She takes a a long sip and says "Forget about video games and in return Signal Entertainment will disappear from the industry with the only condition that the group becomes part of your company, with no cost, those girls have worked hard and are succeeding, it wouldn't be fair to them" she states in the shortest and most concise way possible.
For the first time since they sat down, Jeongyeon can read Jihyo's expression, the surprise on her face is more than obvious, but it soon changes to one of satisfaction. Her strategy was working like a charm, even much better than she expected.
"I knew the video game thing would get you to react right away, but I have to admit I'm getting more than I intended" she says amused "Actually some things never change, you're still the same nerd you were in high school" she laughs.
"Do we have a deal then?" she asks, ignoring her remark.
"Not so fast. If I remember correctly your Itzy girls debuted a year after ZoneMusic debuted StrayKids...if we brought our own video games to market we'd be balancing the scales don't you think?" she says, unable to help grinning. "Why would I turn down the chance to beat you on your own ground?" she adds defiantly.
"I didn't want to get to this part of the deal, but if you don't accept it I will file a lawsuit against ZoneTech for plagiarizing our technology and using it in your products on more than one occasion."
"I didn't know you were capable of taking risks, it seems that there are also things that change" she says completely carefree and even amused, for her this is a game, but for Jeongyeon it is not.
"I promise you I don't want to do it, but if necessary I will go all the way because it's a won case."
"You seem very confident, you know the best law firms would fight over the case and it wouldn't stay in court. It would be all over the media and it would end up becoming a public trial."
"I know, and that's why I want to avoid it. The evidence is more than obvious, without getting too technical, your products have always come out later and I have proof that you have spies in my company."
At this last statement, Jihyo lets out a wry laugh "You say that as if you don't have your own spies lurking around my company, in fact we are here because of one of them, aren't we?"
"I don't know, can you prove it?" challenges Jeongyeon. "Because I have recordings and audios that prove that discarded programs, software and designs have been stolen from me and then used by your company" as she says this, thebCEO can see her rival's face change even though she tries to hide it as best she can. "I have more than enough with the information, I don't need my... informants to steal and if they did I would like to think they would do it better than this girl, I don't know if you are familiar with the name Son Chaeyoung, short, dyed black her and plenty of tattoos."
Of course she knows who the girl she is talking about is, the same way she knows that Myoui Mina is the one who gave her the video game information, but there is no way to prove it since that information was shared with fifty other workers. Fortunately for Chaeyoung, Jeongyeon has better plans for her if Jihyo accepts her offer, her work as a designer is so good that she intends to come to an agreement with her before she ends up working for ZoneTech, but unfortunately for Park Jihyo, the tattooed girl is not so good when it comes to computer science, espionage and keeping secrets. Chaeyoung was recently caught on the servers floor trying – unsuccessfully – to steal a software program, and who caught her was none other than Minatozaki Sana, ZoneTech's receptionist, but a computer scientist and shadow informant for Signal Systems.
According to the Japanese woman, despite her boss Yoo's request not to go into details, she only needed to unbutton a couple of buttons on her shirt and a couple of innuendos for the short girl to end up on her bed showing her all her tattoos and confessing to her what a designer was doing with a laptop and a bunch of cables on the server floor in an attempt to impress her.
This same story, although omitting quite a few details, is what Jeongyeon tells Jihyo to show her that she is not playing a game and that she is totally being serious, but Park is stubborn and the conversation continues until dessert arrives. The older one assures her that any judge would eventually be on her side, she even invites her to check with her own lawyers before giving her an answer. She also assures her that she would not like to have to solve it in court because it would be a long and tedious process for both of them regardless of who wins. She reminds her of the fuss that would be caused and that the legal process itself would be nothing compared to having the media on their backs for months digging up dirt of the company, their family and even personal issues that may or may not be a lie would come into play. And in this sense, they both know that it would only be enough for their personal interests to be exposed for their public image and status to be seriously damaged.
Jihyo is confident that she could get some good lawyers and the possibility of a billion won lawsuit does not worry her; however, the damage it could cause to the company's image and her family's legacy and especially the work her father did, worries her and is what makes her consider Jeongyeon's words. If the theft of information and espionage were to come to public knowledge, she should prepare herself for the worst.
"Think about it, Jihyo-ah," Jeongyeon says, dropping the formalities, once again rendering the other speechless, she just takes a sip of her wine instead. "I know I have no right to ask you to trust me, but we were once friends and I wouldn't want this senseless family war to continue for another sixty years."
"And your way of ending it is to sue me?" she says in disbelief.
"It's not like that, I've offered you a deal that you know would benefit both of us. You've always loved music as much as I love video games, we both win".
All of this is not enough to convince her when she does not trust the person in front of her, there is something that makes her distrustful, it seems all too simple to end four years of hatred between them. Why now? Why all of a sudden? Is this all about stupid video games or are they just a way to build bridges between companies? Is this all a strategy? Is this all a strategy? are some of the questions that go through her mind.
"How do I know I can trust you?".
"First of all, Nayeon-unnie would finish me off if I tried to hurt you, carrying out the lawsuit would mean ending a friendship of over 20 years. But if that's not enough to convince you, I can show you all the evidence I could present against you, so you can see that I'm serious about this. Obviously it would be stupid to give them to you since I would be helping you prepare a good defense, but if you come to my place I will show everything to you. Even the security videos and recordings of Son Chaeyoung. You just have to set a day for me."
"I want to see them now," she replies resolutely.
This time it is Jeongyeon who is caught by surprise, she did not expect to receive such an immediate response. It is rushed but true to her word, Jeongyeon pays for the luxurious dinner and they both leave the restaurant catching some curious glances and hearing some murmurs in the background.
"I guess you didn't come driving in those heels" says Jeongyeon as she looks up and down her perfectly sculpted legs "I can give you a ride and then I'll have someone drive you back to your house".
She takes some time to actually give her an answer. Under normal circumstances, Jihyo wouldn't accept the favor as she prefers to do things her own way, but under normal circumstances she wouldn't be going to her former friend's house on a Friday night either, so she agrees and they both leave in the same car after Jihyo gives her driver and bodyguard the night off.
The drive to Jeongyeon's house is longer than expected but they barely exchange a few words and just stare at the road while listening to music. The music is soft, perfect for driving at night. The volume is loud enough so that they don't have to engage in conversation, but none of them are able to pay attention to it when all they are able to hear are their own thoughts. They have met again, they have talked after a long time, the deal, the lawsuit… but also the compliments, the teasing and the bickering. There are so many things to think about and so many feelings to process, they don't even know how they feel about what's going on.
At last they arrive, Jeongyeon's house, unlike hers, is on the outskirts of the city, in one of the most expensive districts of the capital, although her own luxurious duplex apartment in the city center probably cost the same as this huge, modern house. It really suits her, Jihyo thinks as she gets inside, led by the taller one. She's never been much of a sociable person, but she doesn't like to be isolated either, and though she may boast a simple lifestyle, she wouldn’t give up the comforts that her family's money and status have brought her. After all, that is how they both grew up and it is all they know. It is in an area away from the hustle and bustle of the city but not far away you can see luxurious homes and the occasional mansion. The interior as well as the exterior has a modern and contemporary design with the newest and most advanced technology in every corner from the living room to the kitchen where they are now.
"Beer right?" she asks, earning a confused look from Jihyo, when they were friends she wasn't old enough to drink and lately they hadn't shared any context casual enough for her to know about her fondness for beer. Jeongyeon seems to read her mind and while opening the fridge she simply says "The cans that Nayeon-unnie keeps in her fridge" she clarifies, of course that was it, although the two pretend the other doesn't exist on a daily basis, when they are spending time with their friend sometimes it is inevitable that she briefly mentions the other or or remember her existence, especially when there is a space in Nayeon's fridge reserved exclusively for the beers and soju she usually drinks with Jihyo.
Despite cutting off any personal relationship between them, they have never stopped being present in each other's lives either for work or for their best friend. A fact that makes Jeongyeon's decision decisive, this situation must end no matter what, we can't go on fighting all our lives.
She offers her the beer and instructs her to follow her to her office, once there she asks her to turn around to open the strongbox where she has all the evidence she would use in case the lawsuit goes through. When she is able to look again she finds before her a series of folders stacked one on top of the other rising about 20 centimeters above the table, several hard drives and also CDs. Jihyo assumes that they are actually the same contents in different formats, knowing the cautious nature of the woman next to her, it is an assumption but also a wish. In front of her is what could bring her career, her company, her family and her legacy to an end. It is at this exact moment and without yet diving into the documents that she becomes fully aware of the gravity of the situation.
She could try to defend herself against every attack and will do so if necessary, but she is not so arrogant as to think she would come out unscathed. She knows full well that the damage it would cause would be fatal even if she could strike back with every blow, and that would mean the end for ZoneTech and for Signal Systems as well.
"Go ahead, take a seat" Jeongyeon invites her knowing that she is in full control of the situation right now.
"Can I see everything?" she says looking directly at Jeongyeon and from the expression on her face, Jeongyeon doesn't know if she is genuinely asking her permission or if she is testing her to see if this is not some trick.
"If you're going to go through all the documents, I guess we'd better get comfortable. Let's go to the living room."
So that is what they do. After reaching an agreement for Jihyo to leave their cell phones away from her, they both get comfortable in the living room, each one with a beer in one hand and several folders in the other. Although the tension is not the same as it was at the beginning of the evening, neither one of them trusts the other, the tension is in the air. Jeongyeon, in addition to making Jihyo leave her cell phones in another room, doesn't take her eyes off her and the latter can't help but look over the documents to see what the other is doing.
From time to time Jihyo, not being well versed in the subject, asks Jeongyeon some questions and she has no problem in resolving her doubts. Soon they open the second beer and between the questions and the occasional accusation of plagiarizing each other's products and marketing strategies on both sides, they also start to mention some anecdotes from the past and on occasion they share things about their current life without going into details.
It's getting later and later, but the activity, conversation and beers keep them going for the time being. Jeongyeon is actually taken by surprise by Jihyo's determination, she is really willing to read every single document, she is already on the fourth folder and still has three more to go plus videos, recordings and images. The older one could leave the other one going through everything alone while she does something other than look at her while attentively reading documents with a frown on her face, making the same expression that appears on her face when she tastes food she likes, just like she did sometime during dinner and a few hours ago with the first sip of beer.
She could give her space, but at the end of the day, it's not as awkward as she'd hoped but she also knows she has to be cautious because any misstep could ruin everything. And, although she'd never admit it, she'd rather be talking and catching up by pretending for a moment that their friendship never broke up, rather than explaining stuff about technology on a Friday night after two glasses of wine and a few cans of beer.
"Are you really planning to read the whole thing? Aren't you tired?" she asks with honest concern.
"If you want me to leave, just say so," she says, finishing the can of beer in one gulp. "But I need to know what I'd have to deal with. I don't think you'd be thinking about sleeping either if you were in my situation."
"That's not what I mean, I mean if you're not tired of all this – aren't you tired of trying to outdo me at everything?"
At this unexpected question Jihyo just bursts out laughing "Oh my god, I didn't have you down as someone this self-centered. Do you really think this whole situation is about me trying to prove I'm better than you?"
"Well I think it's pretty obvious, in fact, if memory serves me correctly, the first thing you told us after saying your name to us is that you would be as good as us in everything. Soon after that I remember you had the highest grades in high school and beat our records in soccer, archery and athletics" as Jeongyeon recalls, on the other side of the couch, Jihyo looks at her in disbelief frowning and holding the bridge of her nose while listening to her. "I know that was like a game, it was our thing and you outdid me in everything, but we are adults now, we can't be playing games or fooling around. I think it's time to accept that this isn't getting anywhere, no one is winning here."
"Are you drunk already or are you still just as dense?" is what comes out of Jihyo's mouth almost unconsciously and she instantly regrets it and takes a breath before starting over. "Sorry that came out harsher than I intended. What I mean is that you haven't really changed, have you? You've always understood numbers, computers, video games and all that like no one else, but when it comes to people..."
"What do you mean?"
"This has never been about me trying to be better than you or beating you, well now it is but it's not about you, it's about doing my job and keeping my company at the top" she states and adds “and certainly the fact that it's you makes it all the more entertaining”.
Jeongyeon ust rolls her eyes at that last remark.
"You should know better after what happened" she says without going any deeper into the subject because it's not necessary for the other to understand what she's referring to. "It's really frustrating that you don't realize the things you have right in front of your eyes, I've never known if you're really unaware or if you're faking it" she sighs. "Knowing that I would be in the same high school as the heiress of the rival company and my family's enemies, needless to say I wanted to be better than you, but you didn't treat me as such so before I knew it we became friends and we were getting closer each day.  I only saw you as my rival the first week, it didn't take you long to become my role model".
"Role model?" is surprised Jeongyeon as she approaches Jihyo, feeling curious to know the younger girl's side of the story and to know what she means when she says she doesn't realize things.
"Think about it, your future and mine were going to be quite similar. Heiress to one of the biggest companies in the country, the first woman to be in charge and you were older than me. You had the best grades, records in most sports, captain of the soccer team and participated in dozens of clubs. I looked up to you and wanted to follow in your footsteps because I knew they were the right ones, I didn't want to beat you, I aspired to be as good as you".
Jihyo's heart is racing as her story progresses because even though nothing new is going to come to light. There are things that are still unresolved, conversations that were never had and wounds that remain unhealed that she doesn't want to think about. Her heart doesn't race much faster than Jeongyeon who knows as much as she does what she's about to hear.
"But we both know it was more than just admiration, I loved you and just wanted to be good enough for you. I-"
Right when Jihyo is in the middle of her confession, a wave of feelings hits Jeongyeon throwing her to the lips of the woman in front of her looking at her with those big and expressive brown eyes. It takes a few seconds for Jihyo to realize what is happening but when she does she doesn't move away, instead she lets herself go and closes her eyes ignoring all the alarms going off in her mind. It's a timid kiss, their lips don't even move until Jeongyeon takes the lead. At first her kisses, like her movements, are delicate and tentative giving Jihyo room to stop her at any moment, but this doesn't happen.  They both know that the sensible thing to do would be to stop, but they don't know how to do it, they can't do it. It seems that tonight the two of them are letting each other break through all the walls and for a moment they forget about the world and their problems. It feels too right to be a mistake.
Their lips feel so familiar it makes their hearts ache. Their mouths taste like beer, memories and regrets. The taste of the past on their lips is so strong that it makes them pause.  For a few seconds they exchange glances, catch their breaths and look for any sign that makes them stop or a gesture that invites them to continue. Jihyo is the first to speak after coming to her senses.
"What the fuck Jeongyeon?" she wonders out loud.
All that confidence she had when she threw herself at the younger one's lips vanishes right after hearing her words.
"I'm sorry!" she exclaims with hesitant and nervous gestures. "I thought... I shouldn't have-"
This time it is Jihyo who interrupts her, but not with a kiss but with a statement that surprises her even more.
"I thought you hated me," she admits.
"What? I have never hated you, Jihyo" she replies somewhat more relaxed and looking into her eyes with honesty.
"I have...sometimes I still do" she confesses leaving Jeongyeon stunned.
"In that case it's better to stop here and forget about what happened. I'll take you home" she says, trying to brush it off and getting up from the couch, obviously trying to show indifference to Jihyo's words but she can see a slight pain in her eyes.
When she is about to get her car keys she feels a hand around her wrist and then turns around and sees Jihyo looking up at her with an amused smile "You didn't let me finish, I know we shouldn't do this, the last time we kissed things didn't end well" she says more as a reminder to herself than to Jeongyeon "that's what makes me want to hate you, no matter what you do you're always going to drive me crazy. I hate that you still have this effect on me."
Hearing her words Jeongyeon's whole body heats up and she can feel her cheeks burning as she hears the low tone of Jihyo's voice, she doesn't know what to reply and the other one isn't sure if she wants to hear what she has to say. Before she can give her an answer she pulls her arm pushing her towards the couch right next to her.
Are you sure?" asks Jeonyeon "We can stop if you want, at any time and we can forget about everything that has happened since you walked in the door."
"Unnie..." she replies lowering her tone and leaving Jeongyeon speechless, she no longer remembered how the word sounded coming from Jihyo's mouth. "Let's forget everything that happened before we walked through that door, just don't hurt me this time" she pleads with a sigh, letting herself look vulnerable like she never did before.
In front of her is no longer the successful and intimidating CEO who occasionally makes her job impossible. Gone is his cold, distant and inaccessible image. It is simply Jihyo, who asks her to guard her heart, to tear down her walls to let her pass and remind her that she is the woman who never fails to make her heart race, who takes her breath away, who makes her head spin and gives her butterflies in her stomach.
She knows perfectly well why all she is asking her not to hurt her, she doesn't need to explain it to Jeongyeon to understand what she means. But before she can give her an answer as reassurance, other than nodding her head, it is Jihyo who makes the first move.
This time it is not so sudden, the movements are smoother, they take their time to place themselves in a more comfortable position, still keeping a safe distance between them. She doesn't know what time it is or how far she is willing to go, but she doesn't want this to come to an end, she wants to savor every moment without rushing. She touches Jeongyeon as if she wants to check that she is really there, that she is not a memory and that she is not going to vanish from one moment to the next as she has done so many times before. She doesn't know what time it is or how far she is willing to go, but she doesn't want it to end. She touches Jeongyeon slowly as if she is memorizing every fold of her clothes with her hands, as if she is afraid that it is really a dream that could vanish at any moment. The taller one lets herself be touched without putting up any resistance, she lets Jihyo take the lead, she knows she needs control right now and is willing to give it to her – for now – .
The younger one gently caresses her cheek, tucks a lock of hair behind her ear and moves her hand down to her collarbones. Her fingers slowly snake around his neck and when she squeezes lightly at last Jeongyeon reacts by letting out a soft whimper. As she maintains her grip, his eyes travel from his own hand to the lips of the woman whose neck she grips as delicately as she does precisely and then to her eyes, where he sees something she hadn't seen before. Immediately the grip on her neck tightens a little more and Jihyo moves until she ends up on her thighs, straddling her.
"If you hurt me it's over" this time it doesn't sound like a plea at all but more like a threat and Jeongyeon has a feeling it won't be the first one she'll hear tonight.
"Yes ma'am" Jeongyeon whispers, unable to help but smile, far from being uncomfortable in the position she is in.
As soon as these words leave her mouth, Jihyo releases her neck to grab her shirt and crush their lips together in a hungry kiss. This time it's deeper and more passionate, but full of emotions like the first one of the night. Their lips explore each other again with kisses that are increasingly impatient, heated and wet creating sounds that fill the silent room.
Shortly their tongues start to get involved exploring every inch of their mouths moving in perfect synchrony. As they devour each other it is not their tongues fighting for dominance, but them fighting for control until Jihyo caresses the roof of her mouth with the tip of tongue leaving Jeongyeon at her mercy making her forget all about her little power game as the first moan escapes from her lips. Hearing the sound echoing against her mouth, Jihyo's hands clinging to his shirt pulling her closer and feels the heat coming off her skin as she wraps her arms around her neck.
They kiss for what feels like hours pausing only to catch their breath or let out soft moans against each other's mouths. But their hands have barely explored each other's skin and not a single button or zipper has been undone yet. When eager kisses are not enough Jeongyeon's lips move from her mouth to her jaw and down to Jihyo's neck as she caresses the naked caramel skin of her exposed thighs.
When Jeongyeon starts tracing kisses all over her neck, Jihyo can no longer ignore the growing wetness between her legs especially when the kisses are accompanied by soft bites and licks that go all the way down to her chest, driving her crazy.
"Take off my dress" she commands with a whisper against her ear before nibbling it, sending a shiver down Jeongyeon's spine.
Then Jeongyeon without taking her mouth off her neck undoes the buttons of her black blazer style dress which fortunately stays closed with only two of them. This is the only moment when they stop kissing to help Jihyo undo her dress and throw it on the other side of the couch. This time they lock their eyes instead of their mouths, as they do so, they can't help but smile seeing each other's red and swollen lips. In Jeongyeon's case the image of Jihyo on top of her makes her mouth dry. The path her gaze follows begins at the hungry eyes and is followed by her glossy, wet lips, her neck painted with red marks that will soon begin to darken to purple and her body solely covered by a set of lacy black that leaves her breathless. It is the first time they have seen each other like this and Jeongyeon needs a few seconds to process this view.
She has Jihyo sitting on her thighs dressed only in her underwear which, despite being black, doesn't quite hide the wet spot between Jihyo's legs. Knowing that she is the reason for that wet spot makes Jeongyeon feel her own and squeeze her thighs in seeking some relief, this action doesn't go unnoticed by the woman on top of her who doesn't take long to tease her about it.
"Do you like what you see? Tell me what you want" .
Jeongyeon just nods and stares without missing a single detail of her defined muscles, of how her chest rises in sync with her breathing and how her abs tighten as she continues stroking her thighs. It's impossible to have Jihyo in front of you like this and not want everything with her.
"I-I want you" she stutters against his mouth.
It's not the response Jihyo expected to receive, but it satisfies her enough to return to kissing Jeongyeon impatiently, her kisses are accompanied by the subtle grind of her hips against her thighs. His hands run through her hair and grab it to guide his mouth to her chest but before working on her chest Jeongyeon is quick to unclasp her bra finally releasing her mouth-watering breasts to capture them with her mouth eagerly. The moan that escapes her as she feels the warmth of his tongue brushing against her nipple hardened by both the cold and the growing pleasure invites Jeongyeon to continue her ministrations and give attention to the other breast with one of her hands brushing her finger softly over the nub just to end up trapping it between two fingers, pinching it with a little pressure.
Her other hand, which just seconds ago was caressing her thighs, moves to her lower back keeping Jihyo in place but also testing new limits by sliding her hand inside her underwear. A touch that gives Jihyo goosebumps in anticipation for what is to come.
Bodies exploring each other, blood rushing through their veins and breaths racing. The sound of wet kisses, labored breaths and muffled moans from each other's mouths is all they hear, but all their senses are getting the attention they need to push them further into each other.
Jeongyeon has her mouth busy playing, teasing, licking, sucking and nibbling on Jihyo's breasts as her hands grab and caress her by sinking their fingers into each other's bare skin. Most of the time her eyes are closed, unable to keep them open as the sounds coming from her mouth cause her mind to cloud and her core to throb. It's an overwhelming sensation, just like the desire that drives Jihyo to move her hips seeking more pleasure as she rubs her center against Jeongyeon's body, bringing herself to the brink. She notices the beads of sweat running down her chest and being caught by Jeongyeon's tongue, taking her to new places making her feel things she's never felt before, she's doing wonders with her mouth but right now she needs her somewhere else as she notices the building sensation in her stomach. She doesn't want it to end yet and like this, she needs more, she needs her.
Using the grip she has on the older girl's hair she pulls her away delighted by the image of Jeongyeon's wet mouth attached by a string of saliva to her nipple "Fuck..." she murmurs as she shifts her posture getting off her lap. At the loss of contact Jeongyeon whines and looks at her with pleading eyes making Jihyo grin "I would never have guessed you were this needy" she says as she moves her hand to Jeongyeon's face and grabs her by the jaw to devour her mouth before whispering "Get on your knees''. The words that come out of her mouth are halfway between command and plea as she sits back down on the couch, leaving a space between her slightly spread legs for Jeongyeon to position herself.
She doesn't need to repeat it a second time as it barely takes her time to position herself on the floor on her knees and between his legs. Due to the difference in height between them their faces are almost at the same height, but that doesn't matter when it is more than evident that Jihyo is in charge, even though she is the one in a more vulnerable position as she is the one who is almost naked and with her legs spread wide open exposing herself completely. Jeongyeon looks at her wanting to learn by heart every detail of her body, but behind her gaze there is more than just lust, there is admiration and adoration. She just watches without saying or doing anything, waiting for Jihyo's next command as she feels her whole body burning and a tingling sensation in her stomach as a result of the urge to please Jihyo in this way.
Not once does her hand loosen its hold on his jaw, only loosening it as Jeongyeon positions herself and once she is on her knees under her attentive and hungry gaze she uses her thumb to ghost over her lips, a motion that Jeongyeon immediately responds to by trapping the finger between her lips sucking it and stroking it with her tongue giving her a taste of what is to come. The warm, wet sensation of her mouth trapping his finger catches her breath and the ache between her thighs grows at the image and the contact of his fingers with the walls of her mouth.
"I need you" she breathes as she slides her finger out of her mouth to take them into her own tasting Jeongyeon's mouth.
In her eyes, as in her words, what she senses is desire, hunger and lust. She wants this as much as she does and is willing to give it to her. Without looking away she caresses her legs from her ankles to the edge of her lacy panties, taking her time and switching between soft kisses and the occasional playful nibble. When he brings his mouth to her inner thigh to deposit a kiss he inhales Jihyo's scent, makes her light-headed and sends a shiver down to her own throbbing center.
She's dying to taste it, but she is not done with the teasing until she slides a finger along her clothed core, drawing a louder moan from her throat than before. It's embarrassing how sensitive and pent up she is to make sounds like that with a single touch. From that moment on she knows it won't last long as her whole body jerks from the light touch that has allowed her to feel her wetness despite the piece of cloth that still separates her from her target.
That's when she finally decides to completely undress Jihyo and she, feeling the cold air against her uncomfortable and growing dampness, lets out a breathy whimper. Jeongyeon shoves a hand between her legs to spread them more in order to gain better access and to take a few seconds to revel in the image in front of her. Just inches from her eyes, nose and mouth is Jihyo's glistening sex that leaves her stunned. Intoxicated by what she sees, the smell of Jihyo's pleasure and the sensation of her own pleasure she finally reacts and looks her back up into Jihyo's eyes.
"Can I?" she says, asking for permission.
"Please" she tries to say in a neutral tone that fails to hide the desperation to receive the attention she so strongly craves.
That's all it takes for Jeongyeon to bury her head between Jihyo's tanned legs.
She starts where she left off, with kisses and nibbles on her inner thighs slowly until her whimpers sound too needy to continue ignoring them and to prolong her torture. They seem to have come to an agreement because at that very moment she notices her hands grabbing her hair again to guide her to where she needs her the most.
The first contact is a tentative lick with his flat tongue from bottom to top that stops before reaching her clit, that's enough for a moan to escape from her half-opened mouth. He repeats the action a couple more times at a slow pace, sliding his tongue between her folds and her slit and even teasing her hole but never reaching her bundle of nerves testing her limits once again, enjoying her every reaction and tasting her wetness. His hands do the same, sliding up and down caressing and grabbing her thighs, her hips, her torso, her chest and her ass without stopping anywhere, leaving caresses with his fingertips and sometimes gentle scratches.
Despite the pleasurable but torturous ministrations, Jihyo is loving every second, every lick and every rub, her moans getting louder and louder as the pleasure washes over her and the embarrassment of sounding desperate fades away. The sounds coming out of Jihyo and the wet sounds of which she herself is to blame motivate her to go one step further, sucking on her clit. As she does so she looks up so as not to miss a single detail of Jihyo's reaction. His act catches her by surprise, but her body is quicker to react than she is and it takes seconds for Jeongyeon to notice how the grip on her hair is tighter and how Jihyo's thighs now press the sides of her head covering her ears, even then she doesn't stop hearing Jihyo's moans.
"Oh fuck right there, stop teasing" she sighs between moans guiding Jeongyeon's head between her legs.
She continues licking, sucking and nibbling gently making her juices drip down her spit onto the couch and onto Jeonyeon's chin who notices how her own arousal becomes uncomfortable every time she makes a move however small and feels the seams of her pants rubbing against her hardening clit making her moan against her center.
For a first time together there is no awkwardness and Jeongyeon manages to hit all the right places swirling her tongue around her clit, lapping on her juices and dipping her tongue inside her only to remove it seconds later making her pussy clench around nothing. When she doesn't like something Jihyo lets you know right away and guides you with her words or by pulling your hair, she is also not shy when letting you know she is doing the right move in the perfect place by being much more vocal and also doesn't hesitate to praise her when she deserves it.
"Yes baby! just like that!" she moans loudly as Jeongyeon draws shapes onto her clit while she easily slides two fingers inside her.
Jihyo feels herself getting closer and closer to her high and grinds her hips against her mouth as she pulls her as close as physically possible. Jeongyeon's fingers move faster and deeper reaching new places as she curls her fingers. This has Jihyo squirming under his touch making her feel light-headed and too close to the edge even if she is still fully dressed and untouched.
Making Jihyo feel so good, hearing her praises in between her loud moans as she begs for more, feeling her warm and wet insides, seeing how she is unable to maintain eye contact because she can't help but close her eyes and arch her body has her so dizzy and overwhelmed with her own sensations. When she hears her call her "baby" she can't help but slide her free hand between her legs and apply a little pressure teasing herself and focusing on her own heat instead of her aching knees.
The mere hint of her fingers stroking over the fabric makes her jerk and gasps, sending vibrations to Jihyo's throbbing cunt. Totally intoxicated by her choking breaths and the scent of the woman trapping her between her legs, she doesn't even realize how his eyes are piercing her until she hears "Don't you dare." That makes her gulp pull her hand away immediately, but at no point do her fingers stop darting in and out of Jihyo who looks at her with a mischievous smile.
"Sorry" she apologizes before going down on her again.
"Now be good and make me cum please" she says a little breathless and bites her lip when she feels his tongue again. "I will make you feel so good and you will cum when I give you permission baby."
She swears that every time she hears that pet name come out of Jihyo's mouth she is about to cum, just like she is about to do thanks to her good work. Since Jeongyeon is back to accompanying the fingering with her tongue all over her thighs, folds and clit, Jihyo is soon back to being close to her release.
"B-baby I'm so... close. Don't stop!" she cries out what is meant to be a warning, but she can't help it when she shatters as she reaches her orgasm.
All it takes for Jeongyeon to bring her to climax is suck on her swollen nub at the same time she curves her fingers deep inside her hitting her sweet spot. Her whole body arches completely tense just before she starts to jerk as she tugs Jeongyeon's hair with one hand and puts her other hand to her mouth in a futile attempt to silence the obscene scream she just let out, she doesn't say the name of the woman responsible for her screams but "baby".
That doesn't stop Jeongyeon who continues her movements slowing down when she notices his legs squeezing her head and that's when she moves her mouth away just a few centimeters, she can still feel his breath against her middle as she allows her some time to come down from her high and doesn't take long to fill her thighs with kisses as she cleans her up a gesture that melts Jihyo's heart who sees for the first time this loving and sweet side of her unnie.
At that moment she realizes where her hand is and finally lets go of Jeongyeon's hair who starts to feel a slight discomfort from all the tugging "I'm sorry" she whispers before pulling the collar of her shirt to kiss her again tasting herself first in her mouth and then on her cum covered fingers looking at Jeongyeon with hungry and lustful eyes that make her press her thighs against each other.
"Stop" Jihyo reminds her "You’ve been very good to me, let me make you feel good now. Where’s your room, unnie?" she asks her in a way that makes Jeongyeon feel some embarrassment for being treated this way by someone younger than her, making her blush because she is enjoying it more than she deems appropriate.
The second round is on the bed and barely lasts a few minutes. After Jihyo practically rips off Jeongyeon's clothes and gets on top of her making herself comfortable between her legs, Jihyo takes control and starts rubbing their slick centers while their mouths devour each other in an animalistic way. She is still sensitive from her first orgasm and Jeongyeon is already on the verge of cumming just by eating her out, so they cum in no time. In any other situation or with someone else it would have been almost embarrassing, but between them the situation far from feeling awkward feels right, safe and they even joke about it but not for long.
They go fast and they go slow, sometimes gentle and sometimes rougher trying different things, discovering each other's bodies, learning what the other likes as if they were trying to make up for all that lost time and those first times they didn't have together in one night. It doesn't take them long to recover from the earth shattering orgasm they've shared either, so the second round turns into a third and a fourth until they lose count of the kisses, caresses and orgasms they've given each other. As the night progresses they become more vocal and when they go for the last round they whisper sweet nothings to each other between kisses that are no longer about pleasure but about feeling each other. When their bodies are exhausted and their eyelids begin to close involuntarily the first rays of sun are rising through the trees and mountains.
"Don't go" she blurts out without thinking and in an attempt to regain her composure adds "Get some sleep, you're too tired to go home, it's dangerous, you could cause an accident".
"You say that like I'm going to drive" she giggles. "Just say you want me to stay" she pushes.
"Why would I want that?" she says it trying to sound annoyed by the accusation, but she's too tired for it.
Jihyo shakes her head and smiles getting too close to her and her lips causing Jeongyeon to close her eyes in anticipation but instead of noticing a kiss she notices Jihyo's breath against her lips saying "You're such a tsundere... it's very charming honey."
Jeongyeon almost chokes when she hears the pet name, it's not the first one of the night, but it's the first one she doesn't say to her between moans. Maybe because she knows there is some truth in her words she doesn't talk back and just says "Just stay, we'll talk about this tomorrow" she says in a soothing voice as her eyes struggle to stay open at least until she hears Jihyo's answer, but she lies on her side turning her back to her as she doesn't feel ready to look her in the eyes in case he rejects her offer.
"I'm staying, I missed you" he whispers as he hugs her from behind, spooning her.  Once again it is Jihyo who proves that she is the brave one between the two by daring to name what she feels and say it out loud exposing herself once again and being vulnerable in front of Jeongyeon even though she has promised herself a thousand times during this time that she would never do like this again, that she would protect her heart like she hadn't done in the past.
When she wakes up she notices a warm body on her body and she doesn't need to open her eyes to know who it is, Jihyo is still there and this time she is the one in his arms. Nor does she need to remember what has happened as the mixture of smells from the room and the sheets hits her invading her nostrils. She would swear she can feel Jihyo's taste on her tongue, his fingers ghosting over the skin of her back and even his fingers running through her hair sending a shiver up her back as she recreates moments from the night before in her head. The memories cut her breath away, but her mind soon travels elsewhere and the memories of the night are replaced by a compelling need to shower and change the sheets. Some habits never die, not even when Jihyo is naked in her bed.
On any other occasion Jeongyeon would already be throwing the sheets in the washing machine, preparing breakfast and cleaning up the mess in the living room where the paperwork is piled up among some beer cans. However, the uncertainty and the thought that this was a slip-up or an unforgettable accident that would never happen again keeps her pinned to the bed more firmly than the grip of Jihyo's arms or the leg that is currently wrapped around her waist.
The woman above her keeping her warm and all her senses alert doesn't take much longer than her to wake up, but those minutes are enough for Jeongyeon to overthink about every possible scenario and about all the paths this can take from now on making the warmth she felt in her chest when she smelled Jihyo's hair before she opened her eyes turn into an unpleasant pressure in her chest caused by the growing anxiety she tries to manage as best she can.
"Morning, Jeong" she hears Jihyo say in a husky voice.
Looking at her she can't help but smile at the sight of the traces of makeup, this is another thing she wouldn't have allowed under normal circumstances, but the truth is that she usually didn't end up collapsing on her bed as the first rays of sunshine come out. Seeing Jihyo with her eyes slightly closed, makeup messed up, lips still swollen and some marks spread across her neck and chest makes her light-headed.
"Good morning, Ji."
That way of calling her draws an immediate smile on Jihyo's face, she's used to being called that, Nayeon calls her that often, but on Jeongyeon's lips it just sounds different, she doesn't remember the last time she called her that way. To think that just a few hours ago he was referring to her as Jihyo-sunbaenim makes her head spin.
Jihyo dares once again to try her luck and gives her a peck on the lips, getting an unexpected response.
"We should take a shower."
The two have different plans, but the two have their way and before getting into the shower they share a heated make out session that ends with Jeongyeon panting against her mouth as she reaches orgasm riding Jihyo's thigh.
After sharing a shower in which they exchange kisses again and which becomes the perfect opportunity for Jeongyeon to return the favor, they both end up wrapped in the comfortable clothes of the owner of the house who prepares coffee and a delicious and abundant breakfast for both of them, while Jihyo watches her feeling her heart pounding in her chest.
Their relationship had never gone this far, neither when they were secretly in love with each other nor after Jihyo's first confession years ago. Certainly the furthest they got in their relationship beyond friendship was with that same confession with a bouquet of flowers that ended in a kiss. This is all new to both of them, but it feels dangerously familiar as if they have done it all their lives, something that frightens both of them. Neither can rationally explain that something that shouldn't have happened in the first place feels so natural to both of them as if the years, the distance and the enmity that has lasted almost five years never happened. And this time not even Jihyo is able to say out loud how normal this situation feels, fearing that it's all in her head and going too far risking being wrong and ending it all in one fell swoop, just like it happened the other time.
They talk, the conversation is not as deep as it should be given the circumstances, but it doesn't stay superficial either and they touch almost all the important points. They talk about Jeongyeon's offer or threat – depending on who you ask – and come to the conclusion that they shouldn't be mixing personal matters with work, so it still stands and Jihyo will have some time to think about it and consult with her own legal team if she considers so. On what happened last night they both agree that they got carried away without giving much thought to the possible consequences. Jihyo described it as a "moment of weakness" while Jeongyeon called it an "impulsive and irresponsible act," but neither dared to pretend it was a mistake.
After a heated conversation that was interrupted several times by some insults, cursing, accusations and kisses they came to the conclusion that it had been a good time that both had enjoyed, but if repeated they should have a conversation beforehand that they don't know if they are ready for. And of course, Nayeon can't know anything about this, at least while they figure out what will happen between them from now on. They talk about everything and nothing, their friendship, their estrangement and the open war between them, which seems to have finally reached a point of truce. But always leaving out the taboo subject that always comes up but they don't dare to talk about, they just tiptoe around it.
Before the situation becomes too domestic, Jihyo decides she should leave. "Can your driver take me or should I call mine to come?" she asks.
"I don't plan to go out and he lives nearby, if you want to go now it's better if he takes you home" she offers ignoring the slight but obvious awkwardness that has settled between them.
Jihyo nods and in a few minutes she is ready to go, Jeongyeon is even kind enough to give her something more comfortable than her clothes from last night and offers her a pair of sneakers that are too small for her, so she doesn't have to wear heels.
"Thank you."
"They're just sneakers, I don't even wear them" she shrugs without noticing Jihyo's sudden and unusual shyness.
"It’s not about the sneakers…” she stutters. “Just- thank you for everything."
"Don't thank me at all, I-I really enjoyed it Jihyo-ah" smiles Jeongyeon with a slight blush painting her cheeks and the tips of her ears.
"Me too unnie" she says, staying awfully close as her gaze drifts down to her lips, but she does nothing.
They both giggle nervously not really knowing how to act around each other after everything that has happened in the last few hours. Now it's awkward, they have no regrets but that's not how things were supposed to have ended, they had arranged to meet to talk business. And they had done that but they also got drunk on each other's lips, sank between each other's legs, spent the night with their limbs intertwined and now they were struggling to quiet the butterflies in their stomachs.
It doesn't take Jihyo much longer to get into the car to leave, Jeongyeon opens her door for her and before closing it she says "Think about what I showed you last night, take as much time as you need." She then closes her door, last night she had taught her many things and she knows exactly what she means but her mind can't help but go to other places, feeling her skin bristle and her stomach tighten as she remembers the image of jeongyeon emerging from between her legs and looking at her with those puppy eyes and swollen red lips covered in a layer of both saliva and her own juices. The memory is so vivid it's as if she's standing in front of her right now and she bites down on her finger to make sure she doesn't let out a moan right then and there as her thighs rub together involuntarily seeking to feel something.
When she gets home she doesn't receive any message or call, the next day neither and when the weekend is coming to an end neither. She knows that Jeongyeon sometimes needs to take some distance and be left alone with her thoughts to process things. If she herself was anxious and a bit scared about what would happen from now on it is natural to think that the other would be the same, maybe a bit more so given her reserved personality.
Days go by and she still receives nothing making her anxiety increase.
Of course she could write or call her at any time, at this point it is more than obvious that Jihyo is not afraid to take the lead and make the first move. But this time is different, she needs Jeongyeon to take the initiative for the first time for more than just preparing a lawsuit that threatens the future of her company, her life as she knows it and her family's legacy.
It's a matter of pride, she knows. She refuses to pursue someone who wouldn't do the same for her but also out of fear of being rejected once again and getting her heart broken. She thought that after all she has been through and with her age she is more than ready to face rejection, but the truth is that if Jeongyeon rejects her again when there are no more external reasons to do so, it is likely that this time the pain will be much worse.
By the time a week has passed Jihyo's uncertainty has turned into disappointment, she even comes to think that being directly rejected after receiving her first kiss was less cruel than whatever Jeongyeon is doing now. But in fact, it could be much worse.
After spending the weekend turning down invitations to meet friends because lying in bed staring at her phone with the screen off while listening to the most heartbreaking ballads is what she needs right now, Jihyo gets the news on Monday morning.
"Jihyo-nim, Hirai Momo is coming, it seems to be some kind of emergency"  her secretary Lily announces over the phone. When this happens nothing good happens, problems with products that are about to be released, system failures that were not foreseen and hundreds of other problems that Jihyo doesn't understand but which she knows mean that something is not working as it should.
Hirai Momo, one of the software developers at the head of the department enters nervously and hurriedly with her fringe hairs sticking to her forehead from sweat, her shirt sleeves rolled up and her tie unbuttoned. She is out of breath and her glasses are covered in a layer of mist indicating the urgency of the situation as Momo seems to have come running into the office. All the signs alert Jihyo and prepare her for the worst, she is ready to hear that their new line of cell phones that are about to be shipped to every store in the country will have to be recalled due to some glitch, like that time they discovered that their new long lasting batteries exploded. She was prepared to listen to anything except for what Momo says as soon as she catches her breath without even leaning in.
"We've been hacked."
The initial shock leaves Jihyo frozen in place within moments but it doesn't take her long to react as she puts the pieces together, of course it's Horai Momo who's breaking the news to her that they've suffered an attack. It only takes her a few seconds to get up with fire in her eyes and stand in front of Momo making the employee swallow hard.
"It has been stopped, but we don't know yet who has done it or what information they have stolen or altered" she says before Jihyo unleashes her anger at her, but this is not enough.
"You better fix this as soon as possible or I will fire you and make sure you have to go back to Japan because you are not going to be hired anywhere in this country, not even to clean toilets" Jihyo threatens pointing her finger and staring straight into the face of the woman in front of her who is not able to look her back in the eyes because if she does she knows she will end up crying.
"Yes, Jihyo-nim. I'll fix it" she says bowing a bunch of times while stuttering a few apologies before walking away.
I should have figured it out, now she feels completely stupid for falling for it. It's kind of evil and sick even for their fucked up relationship, Jihyo thinks.
Without thinking twice she grabs her bag and leaves the office asking Lily to cancel all meetings until further notice, seeing the obvious anger of her boss she doesn't even dare to open her mouth and just nods vigorously. She has seen Jihyo angry a million times, but never like this, so she imagines that the news Hirai gave her must be very serious.
As she is about to leave the building she catches a glimpse of Minatozaki Sana at her reception desk and unable to control her anger she heads to her desk. Sana's usual smiling expression disappears as soon as she sees her boss's gaze and she freezes in place, from the look on her face only one thing can have happened, she knows it.
"I'll tell you the same thing I told your friend Hirai. If I find out that you are involved in this you can start packing your bags to go back to Japan because I will personally make your life a living hell" she threatens her with a stern tone, but low enough to only reach the receptionist's ears. As quickly as he arrived, she disappears from her side and exits the building where a car is waiting for her.
From the very first minute Sana got into all this she knew it was risky and she is not worried about the consequences because she knows that just as Jeongyeon promised them, she has nothing to worry about. Still there is something bothering Sana because she doesn't really know what the CEO is referring to, so she decides to immediately look for Mina and Momo to get answers.
Meanwhile, Jihyo, who feels that she has more than enough information, gives her driver the address of Signal Systems' main building at the other end of the Central Business District. There he is greeted by a wide-eyed receptionist, Chou Tzuyu, who can't hide her puzzled face when the CEO of the rival company she works for as an informant is in front of her. However, her job at Signal Systems is to receive those who have an appointment with Yoo Jeongyeon and let her or her secretary know that they have arrived. Obviously, the name Park Jihyo is not among today's meeting list and has never been before, so the astonishment among the workers and visitors who have recognized her is generalized. Tzuyu can only fear the worst and her suspicions are not misguided when she leans on the counter asking for Jeongyeon's floor number, the way to the elevators and orders her not to warn that she is here. The receptionist who is smart enough and appreciates her life does as she tells her and also gives her a guest access card without asking any questions.
That's how Park Jihyo gets to the top floor of the Signal Systems building where the office of its CEO, Yoo Jeongyeon, is located, nothing more than that. But for Jihyo, right now she is nothing more than her rival, one who uses disgusting tactics even for her usual game which includes espionage among other things of questionable ethics. Between the elevator and their destination is the desk of Dahyun, Joengyeon's trusted secretary and Jihyo's informant.
"Good morning, Dahyun" she greets her with a smile that sends a shiver through Dahyun's body, who seeing the fire in Jihyo's eyes doesn't know if she should fear for her job or her life. "I come to see your dear boss, I guess she's in her office."
The secretary nods and when she opens her mouth to continue, Jihyo makes a gesture with her hand telling her to shut up and then walks with firm steps towards the office. She storms in, but what she sees leaves her as shocked as those in the room.
"Jihyo?!" Jeongyeon's voice sounds surprised and confused.
"JIHYO?!"  the woman with her back facing the door exclaims even more surprised and confused.
"Nayeon?" she is so astonished that for a moment she forgets why she has come here.
They look at each other, shocked by the situation they are in, they stare at each other without saying anything for a few seconds until Jeongyeon decides to take control of the situation as she feels her heart hammering in her chest. It's been a week since she saw Jihyo and since then she hadn't contacted her, so the last thing she expected was for her to suddenly walk into her office just on the same day and at the same time that Nayeon does.
"What are you doing here?" she asks, trying to control the trembling in her voice.
"Stop pretending, I'm not falling for your game. You know what I'm doing here" she says harshly, very different since the last time he talked to her.
"Well... I guess" she says, looking at Nayeon with concern. The older woman looks at one and then the other like she's watching a tennis match. "But I mean, you could have texted or called me," she says, turning her gaze to Nyeon again to see if Jihyo gets the message.
"Yeah right, the only way with you the only way things can be done is face to face or did you want to have more proof to add to your fucking folders?" says Jihyo starting to lose her composure as she feels like she is being treated like a complete idiot once again.
"I think this is a conversation you two should have between the two of you" Nayeon says stepping in for the first time. "And I know maybe this is my fault because I was the one who asked not to know about your stupid corporate war, but I think I deserve an explanation. I thought you two didn't talk and all of a sudden you show up unannounced talking about proofs and folders."
"You're right unnie" she says, directing her gaze towards Nayeon and then Jeongyeon, looking at the latter in a way so cold and full of rage that it makes her stomach turn. "Why don't you explain it to her? Tell her. Tell how you invited me to dinner to make me a deal and how it was actually a threat. I give in to what you ask or you ruin my life, my family and the work we've done for decades."
Her gestures are exaggerated and she doesn't take her eyes off Jeongyeon who looks at her dumbfounded not knowing what Jihyo is getting at, at first she thought she was being theatrical, she can be very passionate sometimes. It's not until she sees her eyes that she realizes she's totally serious, there's no sparkle in those big beautiful eyes anymore. Then she sees it, she has the same look as that one time, but this time she doesn't understand why.
Neither of the older girls knows quite what to answer, but they don't need to because Jihyo continues "Come on! tell her what happened later" she insists. She sounds really hurt, almost desperate, worrying both of them who have never seen Jihyo this distraught.
"Jihyo, calm down" Jeongyeon says in a soft tone as she approaches her. "I don't know what happened, but I do know that you don't want to tell Nayeon like this. Calm down and we'll talk."
"Don't even fucking think about telling me to calm down Jeongyeon. In fact I would really like my friend to know the kind of person she has next to her. Someone capable of doing what you have done to me" at this point she starts to raise her voice.
"I'm going to need one of you to explain to me what's going on, but I understand this is something you two need to work out between yourselves" she says still in her seat as she gestures for Jihyo to come closer and when she does she grabs her hand and caresses it trying to calm her down.  "Breath" she whispers to the younger girl who is breathing fast, then looks at Jeongyeon threateningly and says "If you did something to her, this time I'm going to pick a side Yoo Jeongyeon" Nayeon warns Jeongyeon pointing her finger at her. "I'm going to leave, please don't do anything stupid, I'm serious."
Nayeon over the years has learned to stay out of her friends' fight because after trying to intervene numerous times over the years she knows that all they need is to have a conversation that they have never been willing to have. She has heard both sides of the story and knows the motives that have driven each to do what they have done and, while she has not always agreed, she understands why each has done things the way they have and would be unable to judge them for it. She also knows about spies, informants, infiltrators... or whatever they call it.  She is the first to know that they do not always act according to the image of impeccable businesswomen they portray to the world. At the end of the day they are her friends despite the feud that exists – or existed – but if Jeongyeon has harmed Jihyo in some way that has gone beyond their professional rivalry, she wants to know about it even if she has to wait for them to sort things out on their own first.
They both watch Nayeon leave the office and look at each other. Jihyo has her clenched fists and tight jaw, she is still breathing heavily and can see her veins bulging in her neck and arms. From the obvious tension all over her body she can tell that she is indeed holding back and trying not to lose control. Jeongyeon is at a safe distance and is doing her best to try to maintain eye contact and to keep her trembling hands busy and out of Jihyo's sight, adjusting her clothes and hides them from time to time in the sleeves of her blazer, a gesture she had managed to shed but which is inevitable to return at times like this.  Her calmness had left with Nayeon. She still doesn't know what's going on and is afraid of making a mistake with Jihyo that will take her back to square one or much worse. She's willing to do everything in her power to avoid it, but it's definitely a possibility considering she's never seen Jihyo like this.
"Ji I swear- ".
"Don't even think of calling me that" she raises her tone. "Stop lying, cut the act, Nayeon is not here."
"Why don't you tell me what happened?" the other tries again. "I know you're completely confident that I know but maybe it's good to talk things out for once."
"Oh this will be a good conversation because I would really like to know why you are a backstabbing bitch who is capable of betraying me again."
Maybe it's not in the best of circumstances, but Jihyo finally says it. The time has finally come to talk about the subject that both of them have been purposely ignoring. They never talked about it when it happened and neither did they talk about it at the restaurant, in Jeongyeon's living room, in her bed or the next day while having breakfast. They talked about many other things and talked about the past but this was a badly healed wound that no one dared to touch.
"Finally you say it, I knew you haven't let it go, are you still angry about it?"
"I'm not, but even if I were you would have no right to judge me. Tell me what kind of friend would take advantage of the moment I was going through for her own benefit."
"That's not what happened, there's a reason."
"Jeongyeon..." he spits out her name while getting as close as the table between the two of them allows her. "This isn't about having different opinions, it's about facts and the facts speak for themselves. My father died, you stood by me through the entire funeral, you hugged me and promised to be there for whatever I needed" she says as angry tears build up in her eyes. "Overnight you cut off all contact with me and a month later ZoneTech released an announcement informing that Yoo Jeongyeon was taking over as CEO of the company."
Our brains have a tendency to forget the bad times so that we can move on, but for Jihyo it was impossible to forget everything that happened during one of the darkest chapters of her life. She was only 22 years old, studying abroad about to graduate from a prestigious foreign university. One day while studying in the library for the first exams of the term she got a call from her mother crying inconsolably telling her that her father had suffered a heart attack. She still remembers the cry of pain her mother let out when she asked if he was okay, if he was in the hospital. Her father had died on the spot and there was nothing they could do. She left everything immediately and thanks to a family friend she was able to go on a private flight back to Korea a few hours after the call.
During those days she did not shed a tear, but she knew that if at any time tears came to her eyes Nayeon and even Jeongyeon would be there to offer her a shoulder to cry on. It had been a while since the relationship between her and Jeongyeon had changed and they were becoming more and more distant, but she was the first to let her know that she was there for whatever he needed and she proved it by not leaving his side during the funeral and even during the opening of the will in which only the closest family members were allowed to be there.
No one expects to have to read the will of someone as young as Jihyo's father, not even Jihyo herself. When he named Jihyo as the sole heir and manager of the company and the family estate, he believed that when the time came for them to open her will, she would already have a successful career within the company and maybe even a family to take care of. However, that was not the case, so his daughter was forced to leave her new life as a student abroad with all her new friends and aspirations to return home and take the reins of a technology empire and one of the largest fortunes in the country while maintaining her excellent academic record as a model student in a new university.
Needless to say, it was difficult and she even paid for it with her health at times as she did not eat properly, she was overworked and under-rested. Despite having people who could do a lot of things for her, she needed to keep her mind busy because on top of her father's death there was the uproar with the press and media when some of the details of the will came to light. A few days later her friend and unconditional support during this hard process, Jeongyeon had started to avoid her and Nayeon from one day to another without giving any explanation.
The reason was discovered soon after through Signal Systems' statement, after that it was Jihyo who decided not to talk to Jeongyeon ever again unless there were cameras, potential partners or important clients in front of them.
Jeongyeon sighs because despite having good reasons that back up her decisions, she didn't act wisely and now she knows it, but that still doesn't explain why Jihyo has suddenly stormed into her office accusing her of betraying her. Before sharing her side of the story and asking for explanations she steps out from behind her desk to continue the conversation on the couch she has for more informal meetings. When she puts her hand on Jihyo's arm inviting her to make herself comfortable, she moves her arm away and mumbles, "Don't touch me". She is hurt, maybe even more hurt than angry.
Being aware of the younger girl's hostility, Jeongyeon believes it is a must to calm the situation down if she wants Jihyo to listen to her instead of looking for the perfect opportunity to elevate the conflict to another level, fearing that everything will end up exploding hurting the two of them and by extension Nayeon.
She takes the first step by offering her a tissue with her still shaking hands to wipe away her tears and offers her a smile. Jihyo immediately notices the shaking hands and all the alarms go off in her head, she had forgotten that sometimes in stressful situations Jeongyeon suffers anxiety attacks if she wasn't starting to have one already. Even if she feels absolute disgust towards her right now, she would hate herself if she triggered an anxiety or panic attack.
"I'm fine," Jeongyeon assures her, noticing the panic in her eyes, "but we both need to calm down and since it's too early for a beer I'll ask my secretary to make us some tea," she concludes.
Reluctantly Jihyo agrees and in a few minutes they are seated drinking tea in silence, thinking about how they got to this point. They have always had problems with communication, and although it has been between yelling, this is the first time they have been so honest with each other. Not keeping up appearances, not ignoring each other's problems, and not bottling up their feelings. They haven't done it in the most healthy or civilized way, but it's a start.
After several sips Jeongyeon's hands stop shaking, but Jihyo shifts on her seat impatiently.
"I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to ask you what I did to make you like this" the older one breaks the ice "as you pointed out I can be quite dense" she says shyly. "If this is all about the deal I offered and the lawsuit, I-"
"Stop! Do you really think I'm worried about a lawsuit right now when you just fucking hacked me?" she asks, losing her temper again, but she doesn't mind, it hurts so much that she couldn't care less if Jeongyeon sees her like this or if everyone in this building could hear her. "You sleep with me, and once again you suddenly disappear. Today when I got to work they hacked ZoneTech and when I got here there's Nayeon. You had it all planned" she accuses her directly as tears start to fall from her eyes. "I just asked you not to hurt me and you ruined me" she says trying to hold back the tears.
It takes Jeongyeon a moment to process and react to all the information Jihyo has given her between screams and tears. She doesn't understand anything that has happened, but it breaks her heart to see Jihyo. Not even during her father's funeral did she cry or when he first broke her heart and now she has her in front of her telling her that she has ruined his life. It hurts her that Jihyo might actually think she would do something like that, but seeing her sobbing with her mascara smeared and her eyes bloodshot from anger and crying makes her chest hurt.
Despite her fear of how she might react, she wraps her arms around her and finally speaks “Ji, trust me one more time and believe me when I tell you that I had nothing to do with this and I know deep down you know that I wouldn't be able to do something like this. I would never hurt you" she whispers softly in her ear trying to soothe her, but Jihyo's crying only increases soaking her shirt on the part of her chest where her head is resting.
The sobs get louder and she begins to hear Jihyo cursing at her and telling her that she hates her, but she can't blame her. It's been some unfortunate coincidences and no wonder Jihyo has thought the worst.
"Stop treating me like an idiot, you already did it once" she manages to say between sobs.
Jeongyeon sighs as she continues to hug her and caress her back "I think it's time to explain everything that happened" she says as she pulls away from Jihyo to look at her face and grabs her hands so as not to lose contact with her skin. She looks away, unable to look at her because of the pain, anger and embarrassment she feels.
"I told you the other day and I will tell you as many times as necessary until you believe it. I don't hate you and I have never hated you, nor have I ever wanted to hurt you. I love you, I always have and I'm so afraid of what you make me feel that all this time I thought that by pushing you away I was protecting both myself and you as well" she sighs. "Our lives are so complicated and I thought that someday these feelings would go away" she looks at her anxiously looking for a reaction in Jihyo, who still won't look at her, but at least the crying is more controlled. "I thought what I felt for you was a high school crush that could ruin everything for me, but it's not like that and running away from you and everything you make me feel almost ruined my happiness."
Until now Jeongyeon had never been clear with her feelings, but that's not all. "I thought that by running away from me I was doing you a favor and that if you hated me everything would be easier. That's why I never gave you the reasons or explanations you deserve and now I know it was a huge mistake, but after everything that has happened I wouldn't forgive myself for pushing you away from me again, because I know that this time it would be the final one. If you are willing to listen to me, I will tell you everything, but I promise you that I have nothing to do with this hacker attack you have suffered."
Jihyo is not sure, experience, all the times she ended up calling Nayeon crying, all the times she ended up in bed with strangers and the times she got drunk looking for some relief tell her to be smarter, that this time she should be the one to end it all instead of staying to suffer another disappointment. However, the more irrational part of her, the part that still thinks there is a possibility of a future together, begs her to stay and listen to her.
She looks down at her hands between Jeongyeon and when he manages to calm her breathing she looks up at her not quite sure of what to do or what to say even though she has already made up her mind.
"You look awful" Jeongyeon tells her in a pointless attempt to tease that almost bring Jihyo to tears again "Fuck- sorry I was trying to joke, Ji" she says nervously repeating the affectionate nickname once more. With one of her hands she tries to fix the mess of her makeup and with all the gentleness in the world she reaches over and kisses the tears still left on her cheeks. "There's a restroom over there, take your time" and Jihyo just nods, too defeated to refuse.
Just as he told her, she takes her time and manages her best to clean her face, fix her hair and clothes trying to pull herself together. After Jeongyeon has seen her like this, she feels pathetic. Until her breathing returns to normal she doesn't come out of the restroom, though her red and puffy eyes give her away.
"About the hacking let me take care of it, we'll find the culprits and I'll do my best to fix it and prove to you that it wasn't me."
"I believe you" Jihyo finally speaks and the relief is so great that Jeongyeon can't help but let out the breath she has been holding. "This morning when Hirai Momo came to my office I assumed it was your doing, the attack has been stopped, but when I left they didn't know what its origin was or what exactly they did."
"I will talk to Momo, it will be solved today" she assures her while holding her hand.
Before continuing with their unfinished conversation, Jeongyeon calls Hirai Momo and makes her look for Myoui Mina and also Minatozaki Sana who, to Jihyo's surprise, is also some computer expert. After listening to too many technical words, Jihyo was finally able to participate in the conversation and they ended up making a deal: if they managed to find out who was responsible in 24 hours, they can keep working in the company and they will not have to go back to Japan as she had warned Momo and Sana hours before. Jeongyeon, in her efforts to show Jihyo that things would be different from now on if she trusted her, encouraged them with the promise of inviting them to dinner at the best restaurant in the country.
Once she hangs up the phone she directs her gaze towards Jihyo "What do you say? Let's get out of here, grab some food and I'll take you wherever you tell me so I can explain everything to you. I'll even burn paper by paper all the evidence of the lawsuit if I have to because I don't plan to lose you and take the risk of Nayeon killing me."
This time Jihyo smiles and nods, taking her hand "Come on, but if you give me reason to be suspicious I'm telling Nayeon" she jokingly warns her.
So that's what they did, Jeongyeon told Dahyun to cancel everything on her schedule for the rest of the day and hoping to get lucky, she also told her to let her know if they have to cancel their meetings the next day. Of course Kim Dahyun did that and rearranged his schedule but not before opening the group chat with Chayeoung and Tzuyu to tell them everything she had overheard, especially the mention of Minatozaki Sana, Chaeyoung's situationship.
They end up at Jeongyeon's house as well, although the purpose is quite different this time. Jeongyeon explains to her the reason behind each time she broke his heart. She explains how her father did everything he could to keep her away from Jihyo, even forcing her to study abroad. She tells her that that kiss she gave her after receiving her bouquet of flowers and her confession on her graduation day was sincere, but knowing that she would be away for so many years at a university thousands of miles away she didn't want to take away her opportunity to have a first high school love and maybe to find someone who was really good for her, someone who wasn't afraid to love her. She reveals to her each of the events that led her to accept the CEO position after finding out that her father would do everything in his power to end ZoneTech by taking advantage of the instability he thought Mr. Park’s death would bring. She did that in an attempt to protect her but it didn't last long since she was forced to respond to the constant attacks that Jihyo initiated once she settled into the position. And of course she makes it clear to her that this last week of silence had been an attempt to give her space when the truth is that she was dying to talk to her, to listen to her, to see her and to feel her in her arms again.
When the conversation ends, it's already dark and Jihyo goes back to sleep in Jeongyeon's bed, but tonight they just share kisses, secrets, apologies and the promise of a future together. Before sleep overcomes them Jeongyeon whispers in her ear "Don't go to work tomorrow, let me take you on a date to make up for my mistakes and to start making up for time we wasted".

I've been off sick from work 😷 so here's some fluff
Synopsis: In sickness and health, you'll always take care of her
In sickness and in...
"Hey jagiya, are you nearly ready? I'm on my way."
A sneeze made you flinch before a hoarse voice answered.
"Y/n. I'm going to have to take a raincheck. I'm sorry.
"Don't apologise, mi amor. I'll be there.
"Baby - "
"I know, but I want to look after you. See you soon, I love you."
"I love you too."
-x-
Jeongyeon had fallen asleep by the time you arrived, so you decided to make soup with the groceries you brought.
The food was ready when you felt arms snake around your waist. She looked exhausted and feverish.
"Do I look that bad?" She teased when you frowned in concern.
"No. You're still the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. How are you feeling?"
"Sick." You immediately gave her water when she started coughing.
"Come on, I made you something."
-×-
It took hardly any coaxing for her to eat and take medicine.
But she protested when you tried to snuggle close to her.
"Why not?"
"Because you'll get sick too!"
"I don't care."
You knew you won when she sighed.
She continued to grumble as she laid her head on your chest.
"You're so stubborn."
"No, I'm not. I'm just a simple human who is deeply in love with my girlfriend and wants cuddles with her."
You could feel her smile more than you could see it.
"Cheesy woman."
"Only for you."
-x-
Jeongyeon opened her eyes sometime later after you both fell asleep. The couch was only comfortable for so long, and she felt it in her shoulders. She could only imagine how sore your body was going to be.
Facing you properly, she took the time to just look at you. She loved seeing you so peaceful. Her eyes wandered to your arms. More specifically, the scars scattered across them.
"I honestly don't know what I'd do if you weren't here." She whispered, as her fingers moved up your arm.
Jeongyeon borrowed your phone to check the time, when a new text showed up.
It's not like you to pass up on seeing Phantom of the Opera. You know the theatre only puts it on once a year. But alright, I'll give your tickets to someone else.
Her stomach dropped. She had forgotten the show was today.
-x-
You woke up abruptly, when you felt her scramble off you and ran to the bathroom. You went after her when you heard a familiar sound.
She knelt before the toilet as you held her hair back.
Thankfully, you had water and her favourite gum at the ready.
"Why didn't you remind me?" She asked, once she sat back.
"What?"
"The show. You talked about it nonstop lately."
"You know I'd choose you over anything like that."
"I do, but it doesn't mean I don't feel guilty when you prioritise me over almost all else."
"Honey." You brushed her hair out of her eyes. "I put you first because I love you."
"But-"
"Shhh, it's okay. Besides in sickness and in health, right?" She giggled.
"Only if you're married."
"Well, the principle should still apply to unmarried couples, especially if the love and trust runs deep and is mutual. Although being married to you doesn't sound too bad."
The last part was said with so much conviction, for a moment, Jeongyeon thought it was a proposal of sorts. You managed to keep a straight face for five seconds before laughing.
"Yah y/n! Don't tease me like that."
She wouldn’t admit it, but the thought of marrying you someday gave her butterflies.
-x-
Nearly a week later, Jeongyeon was back to good health. She knocked, and the door opened to reveal you wrapped in a blanket, and behind you, tissues were lying around. She opened her mouth, but you beat her to it.
"I know, I know, no need to say it."
