obsessed with the christian references in sfh. mrs eom as a corrupted version of god, who created a gosiwon named after the garden of eden. she adopts children and takes in residents and strives to, if not kill them, make them just like her (Genesis 1:26 Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness; Genesis 2:8 The Lord God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed.).
moonjo is often understood as the devil but i also like viewing him as both adam and eve. moonjo is adam as in mrs eom's primary son who is lonely and seeks accompaniment just like adam. he also molds people (kihyuk and jongwoo) to reveal the truest parts of themselves, but it's prefaced by having something in common with them, particularly in jongwoo's case. so that even if he dies, that person will always carry him with them because he is part of them. meanwhile in the story of adam and eve, eve is fashioned from one of adam's ribs, making sure that a part of adam is always in her.
but again moonjo is also eve in the way that with every new tenant he feeds them human meat (kihyuk, jongwoo, seokyoon) just like how eve was the one who made adam eat from the tree of good and evil. it's an inverse story of eve, where an innocent eve gets tricked by satan; in moonjo's case he is a willing and conscious participant in the temptation of others with the taste for human meat being somewhat of a rite of passage for them. however instead of being banished from the garden of eden like adam and eve are in the bible the people who eat it instead never leave with the exception of jongwoo. even then, metaphorically he never does leave eden.

My opinion about Moon Jo alive or dead ( even though police seemed to have found a body) : He’s Alive…
From the series it seems like police found a body. Difficult to tell who’s body but they found something. My opinion, he faked his death. Not that difficult thing to do for Moon Jo. He wouldn’t want to have a manhunt after him. If they don’t find a body, that would cause a manhunt for a serial killer on loose. So I doubt Moon Jo would take that risk. Using a proxy is easier for him. Especially given he already has a body that kinda looks like him. Body preserving and bashing face to make recognition impossible, is not that difficult for Moon Jo either.
Yes I’m talking about his ex, Ki Hyuk. Ki Hyuk always copied Moon Jo. Dress, hairstyle, mannerisms etc. Moon Jo was annoyed by him but that doesn’t change the fact that till the last breath of Ki Hyuk, he was Moon Jo’s Jagiya. He may have followed Jung Woo before, but as long as Ki Hyuk was there, he didn’t call anyone else Jagiya. As Ki Hyuk breathed his last, Moon Jo gave him a goodbye “Thank you for everything so far Jagiya”. So it’s fitting and poetic for Moon Jo to let Ki Hyuk be Moon Jo for the rest of the world. If he used Ki Hyuk’s body as his own proxy, then Ki Hyuk will become Moon Jo for the rest of the world, forever. In a fashion, it’s a tribute to his former darling. A proper way to severe ties with his former life and move on into a new life, with the possibility of being with his masterpiece.

I was finally able to download all Stranger From Hell episodes so I’m about to rant about something that is probably already common knowledge but it still shook my mind when I realized it.
Something I only noticed on the third time I watched Strangers from Hell, are two scenes where they show us Ki-Hyuk instead of Moon-Jo.
The first being in the very first episode, when they show us the scene from the last episode, and where Moon-Jo is dragging Jong-Woo all through Eden after they heavily fight each other.
The moment Moon-Jo reaches the 4th floor, Jong-Woo is barely conscious, but what he sees is Ki-Hyuk raising a hammer and then letting it fall on him.
This one right here, is Ki-Hyuk. I recognize that haircut anywhere, even if it’s very similar to Moon-Jo’s, it’s deft not the same.
The second scene is the shower scene in episode 3. When Jong-Woo is washing his face, thinking about how the guy from room 302 hasn’t appeared ever since their last conversation, Moon-Jo walks in, but we see Ki-Hyuk at first, then when Jong-Woo turns, it is Moon-Jo the one standing by the entrance.
It really baffles me this strange swipe of characters and I’m sure there is a deep meaning here that I’m too dumb to see but well, just wanted to share this. Also, if someone has a theory as to why they did this, please share it with me, I would love to know theories and such about it.

Jong-woo : *waddling around the goshiwon in a shirt twice his size*
Moon-jo : is that my shirt?
Jong-woo : nooooo...
(Plot twist, it's actually Ki-hyuk's.)
