You’ve learned that even though his face doesn’t show any emotion, that doesn’t mean he isn’t feeling anything. In truth he feels a lot, he’s an incredibly sweet and kind man.

The main point of your bounding with yoriichi is that you both desperately want a family.

You lost your family just like Yoriichi, of course you talked about other things but the topic of family always snuck it’s face into your conversations.

You make your way towards Yoriichi with a tray of of food in your hands. Yoriichi is quietly sitting on your porch, he would have been mistaken for a statue if he didn’t shift his head into your direction.

“Forgive me for taking so long, I thought I had sweat tea but I ended up only having green tea” Yoriichi takes the plate from your hands as you sit down, he returns after your fully seated.

“It is fine, I like green tea” his voice bland a quick as usual. You hand him a cup, you carefully watch him take a sip. You’re worried you somehow managed to mess up the tea.

His face doesn’t change as he finishes his sip. “It’s good” again his voice is bland but you know he actually likes it. There’s a awkward silence between you to, your eyes wander trying to find something to make the mood better.

Your eyes fixate on the tea, picking up your own glass you scoot yourself closer to him. You smile at him “I-I heard that green tea is good for fertility” the smile quickly fades from your face as Yoriichi stares at you.

For once you have no idea what he’s thinking or feeling, he just stares directly into your eyes. Panic washes over you as you believe you’ve greatly upset him. Your face turns a beat red and you stumble out an apology.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean it-like that!” You avert your gaze away from him being to embarrassed for the prior statement. Yoriichis gaze slightly softens and he opens his mouth “it’s fine, I know you mean well”.

Your gaze makes it back to his, your heart speaks before your mind. “I….I mean…I just thought..what if you got re married” immediately you mentally slap yourself.

In a conversation you had with yoriichi awhile back you brought up getting re married, you said you were open to the idea of getting re married while yoriichi shut down the thought of re marrying.

You’re already about to spill out another apology but yoriichi cuts you off. “If I got re married then this tea would be quite helpful, I appreciate the thought” he’s voice is different you don’t know how but it is, his voice sounds like a new song to you. Your eyes widen as he entertains the thought of getting re married.

Michikatsu Tsugikuni and Yoriichi Tsugikuni

Yoriichi is a awkward and antisocial man himself so he isn’t that bothered nor pushy over your own shyness as he understands it fully. To him, you seem very nice and he won’t force you to talk to him, take your time

Michikatsu, on the other hand, is as quiet and antisocial as Yoriichi, but he is able to hold conversation so you’re own social issues is a bit annoying, not enough to make him despise you tho, just enough to make him scowl

Yoriichi and Michikatsu are equally quiet so when you start to open up more and begin to be much more talkative and shape into the chatterbox you are under that cute exterior. Both brothers are considerate and will never be rude towards you but act different

Yoriichi loves listening to you ramble on and on as long as you want, and he will always be your listener. He also really adores that you feel comfortable with him enough to talk your heart out

Michikatsu needs silence however but he just doesn’t have the gut to even ask you to tone it down. It’s half a annoyance and half a joy, he does likes hearing how excited you are and how you rely on him

The Tsugikuni Brothers are just raised polite and considerate so no matter what, you want to talk to them? They’ll let you talk and rant and even dump, the closer you are to them, makes them even more willingly to hear you out. It’s how they are by nature

Yoriichi is so flattered and flustered when you say stupid things and try your best to make him laugh. He may force out a laugh at times but that’s because he just adores you and your happiness is his to his core. Most of the time, your attempts make him genuinely laugh

Michikatsu is not much of a jokester, he is very serious but with the way you always say such stupid things and suspect him to laugh with waiting eyes, he always laughs. No matter what, to him, you’re adorable and he wants to make you happy

Both Tsugikuni Brothers are extremely protective over you and your health, so when you tell them about your friends excluding you, out of the blue, from conversations or ignoring you, they are equally outraged

Yoriichi calmly and politely discusses a plan with you, to talk to your so-called friends about their treatment over you since he just can’t stand you being upset or hurt. They don’t realise what they do to you so he must make them realise himself

Michikatsu won’t let that shit slide, god no, he is immediately going to your so-called friends and talking them down for mistreating you. You’re a pure being and he will protect your purity forever. He doesn’t tell you about what he does but it’s all for you

Yoriichi Tsugikuni

If you mix the creator of Breathing Styles with the only Hashira that can master them all, what do you get, my students? That’s right: Rip-Off Michael Jackson’s worst fear, as well as the Dollar Tree’s Halloween Spider’s object of envy! Yes, the latter is very jealous that his brother outdid him once again, but we’re not talking about them!

Anyways, the two of you had met after he had already lost his wife and his child, and you had gained the rank of Hashira beside him. You didn’t really understand his grief, but you would be there to listen whenever he needed someone to talk to. It was a bit unexpected for you, as he remained kind and dedicated to the Demon Slayer Corps even after all that had happened to him because of it. You never predicted it, so you fell for him because of it.

Yoriichi also learned more about you. You couldn’t remember your past, and because of the man’s desire to help everyone, he would try to help you get your memories back. He had to help you with your cold exterior, though. However, it all came back to you in a way that surprised you both: the scientists who had experimented on you had resurfaced and tried to get you back. The Corps did not allow you to kill other humans, but Tsugikuni, taking the place of a knight in shining armor, carried you on his back and ran away.

When he put you back down, he could see that you were stunned. Tears were falling down your face and you were shaking slightly. He gently held the sides of your face and made you look up at him, and he used his thumbs to wipe away your tears. Then you whispered something so low that only he could hear: I remember…

You were clutching a file that you had obtained from one of the scientists, and he took it from your hands and started to read it. Even from what he had seen in battle, he had never seen something like this. It was all gruesome, just to make the Ultimate Human Being. He immediately pulled you into his arms and just held you there, as your very small sniffles died down.

From that point on, he decided that you could not be left vulnerable or alone, thus for years he stayed by your side and looked to see if those scientists would ever come back. This led him to falling for you in return, and the two of you were wed. Now, your new husband was incredibly terrified that something would happen to you just like something happened to Uta, but you assured him that you were fine.

His worries only increased when he found that you were pregnant with his child. Sure, he was definitely very happy, but he was also very protective. When reaching your 8 month mark, he did not want you even getting up from bed, and he would get you anything he wanted. You had to remind him that exercise was good for the baby, but you understood where he was coming from. 

Once you had gone into labor, he had already had the midwife living with you temporarily. There was no way that anything was going to go wrong this time, and your husband made sure of that. Well, everything went smoothly, and after 16 hours of painful labor, you gave birth to twins: a boy and a girl.

Hearing the cries of his children, he cried tears of joy. He placed a kiss on your forehead, telling you that he was so proud of you and that you are strong. The midwife, after cleaning the babies, handed the boy to you and the girl to him. Upon looking down at his daughter’s face, he noticed something on her forehead: his Demon Slayer Mark. The same mark was present on his son’s face as well.

As joyful as this moment was, the two of you had to be realistic: your children would be huge targets. So, you prepared your home accordingly. You knew that Yoriichi would soon have to go back to being a Demon Slayer, as Muzan was still out there and he needed to be taken down. You had your sword accessible to you, and there was a hiding place for the twins. The two of you even prepared a fake hiding spot for you to defend to trick any demons into thinking your children were hiding there.

Unfortunately, one day, when your husband was away on a mission, Muzan had attacked. He knew that no one besides him would be able to fight you, but his true target was your daughter and son. You fought him off and even injured the Demon Lord, but it was all in vain. Your last thoughts before he had turned you into a demon were ‘the kids are safe’. The transformation overtook your body, and you were left lying on the floor, asleep.

Hours later, Yoriichi came home to see blood splattered all over the floor, leading to you. He could hear your children crying, but before he could check on them, you had grasped his ankle, made him fall to the ground, and started attacking him. The look in your eyes, he knew that this wasn’t you. Eventually, he turned the two of you around and he was on top.

The only thing he could think was, ‘I failed again’. He eventually got your clawed hands pinned to the ground as he begged you to stop. He didn’t want to hurt you, and that’s why he did not have his sword drawn. After struggling for a bit, tears began to fall from your eyes as you recognized the man who you were trying to kill. As though everything was normal, Yoriichi held your face gently in his hands and wiped the tears away. Your hands went to cup his, but you felt your vision going a bit blurry. You were growing tired, and you passed out.

Once you had woken up, your husband asked what happened. You went on and on about how Muzan had attacked you to try and get to your children, but he spared them for some reason. Instead, he went for you, probably because you would be capable of predicting all Breathing Styles as well as master each and every Blood Demon Art. However, you didn’t seem to need flesh. Instead, you explained that you were still trying to protect your son and daughter.

‘Well, you were alive, and that’s all that mattered’, Yoriichi thought. You learned that you did not need to feed on humans, but rather very large amounts of sleep. Because he needed to make sure that no one knew you were a demon, he had you stay home with the children. Thus, you did not overexert yourself and fall into a deep sleep.

Even after your husband’s passing, the legend of the First Demon Slayer and the Ultimate Demon still circulated. Your children eventually grew up and had children of their own, who then had children, and it went on. You were aware that your family would become demon slayers, as you and your husband were. You even became a secret friend to Ubuyashiki, and wrote him a letter for each generation that went into the Corps. It was not just Urokodaki who convinced him to spare Nezuko’s life, but also your influence as well.

Oooooo. I've already written the opposite scenario, so it'll be interesting to see how things are from the other way around. I think I'm going to do this one in a headcanon format! I hope that works for ya~

Yoriichi as a Jealous S/O

To begin with, he wouldn't vocalize his jealousy at all. His S/O would only be able to tell he's jealous by the way he stares daggers at the other man and acts cold whenever he's brought up

It depends how assertively the man flirts. If it's ambiguous whether he's actually flirting or just being friendly, Yoriichi would let him off the hook. However, if the other man straight up hit on his S/O, he would show a shade of possessiveness by stepping in and telling the man, firmly, to never hit on them again

Generally Yoriichi controls his emotions quite well, but jealousy is one he would struggle with. His S/O would be able to tell something is off by his body language, how he shuts off at the mere mention of this other man. Then, if his S/O confronted him about it, he'd come clean about his feelings, admitting that he simply cannot stand the thought of S/O being with anyone else and he's battling these emotions every day

He would feel some guilt about his jealousy, as it makes it seem like he doesn't trust his S/O. He would reassure his S/O that he completely trusts them to be faithful, but he simply doesn't trust the man to not put his S/O in uncomfortable situations by trying to make a move on them

He would have frequent intrusive thoughts about his S/O cheating on him for this other man, and that would be what bothers him most. The idea of his S/O actually betraying his trust like that. The sheer thought of it would have him falling to the ground and folding in two, clutching at his chest. He would only be able to console himself by doing about the only thing that'd bring his mind tranquility, which is practicing his swordfighting in his garden and focusing on his breathing

If things went on long enough, he would one day tell his S/O the truth about how the other man makes him feel. It would happen quite randomly; as he and his S/O enjoy a cup of green tea together, he would tell them everything. He was usually so quiet, but he wouldn't be able to bottle his emotions up forever, so he would tell them, relaxed, without leaking an ounce of actual emotion, simply laying down the facts so that his S/O knows where his head is at

Despite how much he dislikes his S/O's relationship with this flirty other man, he wouldn't dissuade his S/O from being friends with him as he recognizes that'd be a controlling move and he doesn't want his S/O to lose out on any friends just because he's unable to control his jealousy

He'd mostly blame himself for his jealousy. However, if the man ever tried to make a move on his S/O, Yoriichi would definitely step in and scorn the man for trying to take someone who's already in a relationship, as this is a very dishonorable move and Yoriichi is all about honor. In fact, I think that's one of the things that'd bother him most of all, that the idea of someone trying to take his S/O is so dishonorable and sneaky that it makes him feel sick

Ultimately, Yoriichi would get jealous and it would hurt him, but with good communication between him and his S/O, they could work through it as his trust and devotion for his S/O would be far beyond his feelings of envy. That being said, he would step in and behave possessively if someone tried it on with his S/O ----- I hope this was a good interpretation of the situation, anon! I think Yoriichi is a really kind and reasonable man who wouldn't want to cause too much trouble for his partner, even if he was going through intense bouts of jealousy.
