orv animatic - a hole opened up in my heart (yorushika)
Ever since Yorushika did Frieren's second OP, the whole show started to remind me of a lot of songs they did. One that really stood out was Say It. Personally, it talks about loss, grief, and regrets, having so many things left unsaid to each other right before they departed.
It really ties into what Frieren feels towards Himmel, from the late realization of her feelings towards him to the small moments she shares with people that remind her of the times she spent with the hero's party
a thumbnail redraw from the song "言って。" by yorushika. the song talks about grief, saying things to the people you love while theyre still here, and holding onto the memories even if they hurt. ive been thinking a lot about grief and loss lately so ive been projecting that onto surlee.
Imagine if Bandori covered “That’s Why I Gave Up on Music”.
My first thought was having Morfonica cover this (with a focus on Rui), but I also was considering Popipa, considering they could do more melancholic songs (as seen with Shoujo Rei) and it also brings Betadori Kasumi to mind!
I mean, the reality of longing for one person who's eventually going to be out of your life but you couldn't help but be captivated by their existence and you just want to know their dreams, their biggest fears, their favorite music artist, their makeup routine, their wardrobe, their favorite number, anything about them (not in a creepy way) all in just two seconds of noticing their pose, three seconds to see what they're doing, and one second for it all to click only for them to poof out of your life. Forever.
I was listening to a livestream that n-buna and Suis did back when Tousaku was coming out (it had English subtitles, thank you b_kuta) and I realized that n-buna is always Like That. He was supposed to be reading fan mail and then spent 20 minutes of the stream talking about haiku lore. The only reason why his characters all like haiku is because n-buna wants more chances to talk to everyone about his hyperfixation. This makes so much sense
