i hope you know that you and many other writers that are apart of this fandom bring me so much comfort like no other.

i was obsessed w reading fics back in middle school and i was always judged for it. i stopped and ended up forgetting about it, sometimes even making fun of myself for reading it (it was mainly because who i was reading for at the time, not the fics themselves)

when ST4 came out, it was the summer of me going into my senior year and boy did that do something to me. i felt as if i was the only one out of all the ppl i knew at the time who was OBSESSED with edward the munch munson (out of all my friends, i still am)

ive never had tumblr before, but i got it and decided to give it a try.

for the past year, this app has been my favorite thing ever and that’s because of writers like YOU. your work and many others brought me so much joy and i spend almost everyday looking to see who has updated and who has posted a new fic. it brings me back to little me who loved to read. the creativity you bring into this fandom is beyond. i love you, and thank you and the many others in this fandom who have given me so much happiness this year without even knowing it.

Okay first of all — thank you so much! That means so much to me that you even thought of me.

And second, I totally understand that. I remember reading fic back in middle school and high school even and kind of wanting to keep it secret because people are often rude and judgmental and I hate that they were toward you as well.

But, I think that’s why we’ve all latched onto Eddie so hard. Because he’d be right there with us, telling us to live our best lives, be our fullest self. He’s a comfort character now for that reason alone, and I think he will continue to be simply because of what he stands for.

I’m so glad you gave tumblr a try. Because I love YOU so much and I’m so happy to have you in our little community and escape from the world. And I am so happy to also be surrounded by so many loving and creative people, just sharing our words but also our love for this character, and facilitating conversation about him as well.

So thank you, seriously. And I think also those mentioned would agree. It means so much. 🥹🩷🫂
