If the implication in the old journal entry is accurate, and Halsin ended up having to be the one to destroy the shade of his former First Druid that he trained/was taught under, do you think he had time to mourn him? Do you think he fell to his knees in the rubble, feeling the shadows press heavy around him, catatonic, as the weight of realization finally started to hit him? Were any of them reflected back at him when he peered into the dull, sparking energy left behind? Did he let himself cry? Scream? Did he carefully stone his expression and nod tightly in approval, like neatly tying a package, since what he eliminated wasn't him - what was left was so twisted beyond recognition, such a dark reflection of the man he had come to see as second family, that it was better destroyed?
Or did he have to run? Did he shove his grief deep down in the place where it always goes to make room for his survival instinct to bring him into the sun again? Did he have to unceremoniously abandon what was left of him because there was still a chance there may be others - a hope made in vain that the ones they had to leave behind were still out there - praying as he went that he had found peace, that Silvanus recognized his face, before the curse took what was left?

You know, I think Clark and Lex’s relationship really could have benefited from a safe word. Something either of them could have said to the other to communicate “your current line of inquiry is infringing on my privacy in a way I cannot elaborate on without further compromising my privacy, so I need you to redirect or drop it.”

i’m just
there must be so many gaps in jieum’s memory
she was the girl of many trades but can she remember how she learnt any of those skills? No they were all from her past lives so they’re gone. Can she remember leaving her neglectful family to live with ae-gyeong? No because she was from a past life, so where does ji-eum think she grew up? She remembers being good at school and her awards but not if anybody was there in the audience for her. She says in her phone call to her superior that she remembers switching departments before, but she doesn’t remember working in the hotel. She cooks meals the exact way as ae-gyeong taught her and she taught ae-gyeong, but she doesn’t remember having learnt them. if she can’t remember anything to do with her past lives, she wouldn’t be able to remember anything that had happened in the past few months the drama is set over.
that must be such an odd and confusing existence, to only remember small dots and flashes of your life, and a giant gap in recent memory, and she doesn’t even seem to be affected by it either? Did she go to the hospital after coming to consciousness standing on a bridge with no idea how she got there? Did they run tests on her brain to see if something had gone wrong? Does she think she suffered a mental breakdown?
What is going on in ji-eum’s brain in those final scenes i want to dissect her thoughts like a grape

once again thinking about the redfields and their bond with leon - how in a day ( and then a few months ) he's become such an integral part of claire's life that despite being mostly far they created a strange family of misfits with sherry, and claire brought them in what is left of her own because they're all orphans with no one to rely on except for her. and you know for a while sherry and leon were both relying on her because she organically takes on the role of leader - and continues to do so even after she introduces them to chris ( she's just more level headed ironically )
and you know i reject the idea that she introduced chris and leon to each other in 2010 simply because code veronica exists to tell us otherwise lol, but like. she's the one who mostly reaches out until there's a shift in dynamics because claire can empathize but can't really relate to what it's like battling alcoholism - she's got demons of her own but she never drowns them, at least not for a long while until she's up on that tower that the only thing to do is jump.
i'm not really surprised that as they grew up there's seems to be a rift in their little family that goes even beyond the chip thing. chris ( and becca ) found leon drunk off his ass, he probably had to call in claire for the infamous off screen intervention and even then she hesitates because if piers kept away from her intel about chris alcoholism induced shenanigans in fear of her reaction, imagine what she could have done about her best friend too.
and she's so guilty about it too, dismissing signs, perhaps sometimes even indulging on it herself and not seeing how bad that was. taking at face value every missed call and unanswered text as a "oh well i guess we hate each other now" when it was never about that. there's a certain softness she reserves to him - like a thing barely held together that needs to be handled gently, which makes it so obvious she wants his best but also doesn't have the best approach ( at least that she thinks of )
idk without being weird about it, i just think that they complement each other in a way that is rarely seen in found families 🤧
