I don't even know where to start😭

At some point I definitely wondered if something was going on, but honestly I couldn't really believe it so I didn't think more about it.

It absolutely felt overwhelming, but there are certainly much worse things to be overwhelmed by than the pure love you all have shown me today🥹🥹🥹

I would have never expected this and saying thank you seems like it's not nearly enough to express what I am feeling right now.

All of these heartfelt messages just absolutely made my day and brought me to tears multiple times, and I haven't felt so loved in ages. There were a lot of times in my life where I felt like I didn't have any real friends that actually liked me, and while that definitely has changed now, this much love is still something I haven't ever gotten before.

I'm not exaggerating when I say I will treasure this for the rest of my life❤️.

I really had to hold myself back today from telling everyone about all my "friends from the internet" because I know they wouldn't understand.

I'm so happy that myself from 8 years ago decided to make this blog, and even happier that myself from a few months ago came back to see if Lockwood & Co had a fanbase here.

I love every single one of you so much, thank you everyone for your messages and I hope you all have the best time, just like you deserve❤️

Happy one year anniversary to Encanto and Happy Thanksgiving to all that celebrate and just a wonderful day to all that do not celebrate.

I have already talked a lot about how this movie has changed my life for the better: wonderful friends, a rekindled love for fanfiction and fanart and refound confidence in my own writing.

You don't really know how much you have missed something until you find it again and God have I missed writing and God am I glad that this movie has slapped the muse inside my brain right awake again.

I have met so many wonderful people through this fandom and through other fandoms as well and I don't want to miss our little talks or inside jokes or reblogs where we are @-ing each other over and over. My life is so much fuller and better now.

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.

#i often wonder about how many things would be considered classic or high art had they only received the marketing #how many short films that were made for class could have been the most powerful thing you'd ever seen? if you'd seen them? #“you know the greatest films of all time were never made” etc etc #but like. these works of art ARE being made. it's just enjoyed by a smaller audience with equal impact though #i think about this one furry i used to follow on insta who had the coolest worldbuilding ever. it's been years. #thought prompted by that sketch of nimona from ten years ago that was just for a character design #posted to the creator's tumblr and now it's nominated for best animated feature film at the oscars #and by the genuine emotional reaction a fan comic made me feel. how much work had gone into it. how beautiful it was to me. #idk what to tag this but i hope whoever needs to hear it does #writing #writer #fandom #fandom culture #artist

sometimes I randomly think about the time a girl posted in this girls only Facebook group I’m in telling everyone how she broke up with her boyfriend and he lied saying that he lost the spare key she gave him, only to then break into her apartment when she wasn’t home and steal the cat they’d adopted while they were together, but then he denied having done this and she didn’t really have proof that he took the cat since he wouldn’t let her come into his place and look for it. And then another girl saw this post and knew her ex-boyfriend, and she was like “girl. I used to hook up with your mans back in xxxx and I still have his number. If you want, I’ll hit him up and get him to invite me back to his place and see if your cat’s there.” And the OP was like “bet.”

So this woman hit up homie dog, asked him out for drinks, went home with him, slept with him, and then woke up in the middle of the night and TOOK THE CAT. Like she had only said that she would confirm if the cat was there but then she took it upon herself to steal this woman’s cat back. Like she full on Trojan horsed this man and then hit up homegirl like “I got the goods. Where you wanna meet.” And then the two of them posted a photo of them together with the cat to the group.

And I just think women supporting women is so beautiful.

#the best part of all is that I also knew the ex boyfriend because he worked at this place my friend was the manager of #and I texted my friend like ‘yo have you heard about this cat situation’ #and she was like ‘I swear to god if one more person asks me about this fucking cat’ #it was the drama of the century #the whole city was up in arms over this cat

cant tell you how bad it feels to constantly tell other artists to come to tumblr, because its the last good website that isn't fucked up by spoonfeeding algorithms and AI bullshit and isn't based around meaningless likes
