There was never going to be any form of Jewish self defense that the world would deem acceptable, and there was never going to be any act of anti-Jewish terrorism that the world would deem unacceptable.

There is nothing Israel could ever do to defend itself that wouldn’t be accused of going too far, of being “way beyond self defense.” There is no method of Israeli self defense that wouldn’t be maligned as “genocide.”

Inversely, there is no atrocity that could ever be committed against Jews that wouldn’t be denied/excused/justified. There is no level of violence against Jews, however gruesome, however blatant in its goal of genocide and targeting innocents, however many children and babies are burned alive and kidnapped, that wouldn’t be justified as “resistance,” as something that the Jews must have provoked, as the very least that Jews deserve, as something that the terrorists were driven to and couldn’t possibly be expected not to do.

No act of violence against Jews was ever not going to be called “resistance,” and no response from Israel was ever not going to be called a “genocide.”

The only Jewish country in the world was never not going to be maligned as the worst country in the world.

For fuck’s sake, use some critical thinking skills.

i think a lot of people mistake vegans for believing themselves to be "morally superior" rather than the actual, and very reasonable stance that IF YOU HAVE THE OPTION NOT TO KILL OTHER LIVING BEINGS, YOU SHOULDN'T DO IT.

most of us can understand that it's stupid to wield "oh so you think you're morally superior" against any type of human or environmental rights activists because how do you even respond to that? sure? Because its NOT ABOUT MORAL SUPERIORITY. IT'S ABOUT NOT UNNECESARILY CAUSING HARM.

Also, an activist could be the most annoying, self righteous person on the entire planet, but their stances having NOTHING to do with that. An asshole saying "trans rights" doesn't mean you shouldn't support trans rights because an asshole said it.

Okay so I never actually watched James Somerton. Infact, before HBomberguy's video I didn't even know who he was. However based on some of the clips HBG showed of him (as well as the clips from the Todd in the Shadows video) I can say that I have met/known people in LGBT+ spaces who have regurgitated his same talking points. And I'm not talking about his plagiarized content. I'm talking about how he takes that content and rewords it to justify his misogyny.

The fact he misgenders ND Stevenson (he/him) and Rebecca Sugar (they/them) is EXTREMELY telling about what kind of person he is. Even if he didn't know their pronouns, it's still feeding into the dangerous lie of "cis women pretending to be trans in order to write gay stories".

It's disgusting and unfortunately I still see this sentiment today. (If I had a nickel for every time someone missgenders refrainbow I'd be a millionaire and way too many of those nickels are from the gay community)

In conclusion, plagiarism bad, transphobia bad, misogyny bad, James Somerton bad.
