#you can ask a specific headmate to answer if you want
funnier-as-a-system · 2 months
Note
I'm not a system, I just have a question
Does everyone in a system usually have different hobbies? Like one person (? Idk what you call it) would draw and then another would be into sports?
(sorry if this doesn't make sense)
A system is not too different from any other group of people. So, yes, the members of a system may have different hobbies, but it's also possible for headmates to share hobbies, especially if they aren't very separate from one another. You can think of systems in this case as being like a family – it's likely that at least a few hobbies will be shared (sometimes, depending on how close and connected they are, everyone may have all of the same hobbies!), but each member is probably going to have their own preferences and opinions on how they spend their free time.
The catch is that system members often share hobbies due to the restrictions of sharing a single body and life. For example, it's not always possible for one specific headmate with a hobby that involves appointments (say, sports practice) to be fronting during those times. In this instance, other headmates would participate instead, which could be considered "sharing a hobby". There can be some nuance and complexities here, but the point I want to bring up is that in these cases, headmates will often participate in each other's hobbies even if they don't particularly enjoy or are interested in them, just so their other system members won't run into any problems when they're able to return to those hobbies themselves. In this way, a hobby may or may not be considered "shared", but may still be participated in by several headmates.
As for what we call members of a system, there are many available terms. The two most common are alter and headmate, but other popular terms include facets, parts, persons, and sysmates. Personally, we prefer "selves" and "others" for our own system, and find "selves" is most useful when explaining plurality to people who have never heard of it before, but we most often use "headmates" for clarity of communication when interacting with the plural and system communities (hence why we used the term while answering this ask). If you're interacting individually with a system, it's best to ask what terms they prefer, but most won't be offended if you default to "headmate", "alter", or "system member" when speaking generally. There's no one perfect consensus within the community.
Hope this helps, anon!

Not a plural culture ask, sorry if this has already been answered before, but in non-amnesiac systems, how does someone know if they’re not fronting? Want’s the difference between regular dissociation and switching?
it'll of course vary from system to system, but one way for us is we have a shift in the way we act and the way we think and have the headmate-specific feeling we each have, and although sometimes we don't notice that, if we do it's generally pretty easy to tell that the shift is because we switched. and when we're having a dissociative switch, there's the dissociation and then we start acting differently which is easier to notice for us. but as we said in this post (link), it can be really difficult to tell the difference between regular dissociation and switching dissociation. as for knowing you yourself are not fronting, we don't have personal experience with that as a monoconscious system, but with others they could know because they're now in the headspace, or maybe are still aware of what's happening but aren't controlling the body, and there are non-amnesiac systems who will have blackout switches but then get piled with the memories of what happened when they were away when they come back to front. but again, experiences are very varied, and anyone reading this is welcome to add on with their own experiences

Switching Tips and Info
Hello! We’ve often said here that for our system, switching is involuntary and happens automatically or with the help of our gatekeeper. However, we often get asked here about switching, how it works, how to practice switching, and how to switch for the very first time. In general, we’re probably unequipped to confidently answer these questions. But we’ve decided to put together this post with information we’ve picked up from therapy, research, and learning from other systems. We hope this can help you and your system learn to switch more effortlessly!
Disclaimer: We are not an expert or clinician by any stretch of the word! We are one DID system sharing our experience and information we’ve picked up during our time in treatment and system spaces. This post comes from the perspective of a system with DID, though much of this advice could be potentially useful for all sorts of systems!
What is switching?
Switching is a common occurrence in systems when one headmate swaps places with another in order to perceive and interact with the world. Systems of all sorts can switch, not just those with dissociative disorders like DID or OSDD! Switching can look incredibly different from system to system, and may vary based on a wide variety of factors such as:
System origin
Previous history with switching
Degree of dissociative barriers
Comfort levels with fronting and switching for each headmate
The presence of a system manager or gatekeeper
Safety of the system overall
And more!
Do all systems switch?
No, not every system wants to switch or is capable of switching! Many systems exist with one primary fronter and many headmates who either cofront, are coconscious, or never front to experience the outside world at all. Switching is not a requirement to be a system, and it’s not even a requirement to have a dissociative disorder.
Many systems may find that headmates have switched before without noticing it! Before a system’s “syscovery,” headmates may lose time, experience identity shifts, or interact with other system members without ever realizing that they’re plural. In fact, an overwhelming majority of systems with disorders like DID and OSDD are covert, meaning their switches and other symptoms often go unnoticed by other people or the systems themselves!
How can I switch with my headmates?
We don’t have any surefire way to guarantee switching, as every system is unique and no two systems function in exactly the same way! However, here are some ideas for you and your headmates to try in order to help a switch occur.
1. Open communication
Communicate with as many headmates as you can on a regular basis. Keep an open dialogue, and talk to your headmates about fronting, what that might look like for them, and any worries they have about potentially fronting in the future. Try to address each headmate’s fears and concerns to the best of your ability before expecting them to front. Imagine together what it might look like for other headmates to front. Try to understand what happens to headmates in your system who aren’t fronting: do they enter your system’s headspace/inner world? Do they stop fully existing or enter a sort of stasis? Are they still able to perceive the outside world at all? Having a stable, steady line of communication and an understanding of how your system works can help make it easier to allow other headmates to front when the time comes!
2. Seek out a gatekeeper or system manager
Many, but not all, systems have members whose role is specifically to manage who fronts and control switches. Our own system has a gatekeeper who handles the majority of our switches! If you haven’t already, try to learn whether or not your system already has an established gatekeeper. If you do, establishing a connection with that headmate and communicating with them will be essential for switching in the future.
If your system doesn’t have a gatekeeper/manager, that’s fine! A headmate with this role is not required for system to experience switches. For those who do have them, however, cooperating with managers and gatekeepers can help make switching a smoother, more painless process!
3. Ensure safety
Don’t attempt to switch if your system is not 100% safe, and only try to switch after all headmates involved feel comfortable and secure. NEVER try to force a headmate to switch who doesn’t want to. Respect each other’s boundaries and rights to personal autonomy.
When you’re ready to try and purposefully switch, do so in a safe, comfortable, secluded environment. Try to limit distractions and opportunities for interruptions. Check in with headmates that you have access to, and ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable before attempting to switch.
For minors, traumagenic systems, and those who currently live with abusers or those who have harmed them: it may be for the best to not attempt to switch until you’re in a situation where you are distanced from those who have caused you harm (be them parents, friends, loved ones, or anyone else). Unfortunately for many systems, this may mean waiting until you have moved out of your family’s home in order to put some space between you and your system’s abusers.
Trying to switch when you’re not 100% sure of your system’s safety could absolutely cause more harm than good! The safety and well-being of your system is more important than providing headmates with opportunities to purposefully switch. There will be plenty of time in your future to learn more about your system and attempt to manage switches! Until then, it’s probably best to allow your system to function in ways that ensure your safety and the safety of your headmates.
4. Use positive triggers
Positive triggers are external stimuli that can help bring certain headmates closer to the front by reminding the system about that headmate and what they enjoy. Having a wide range of positive triggers at your disposal can help make it easier to get a headmate to switch with you! Here are some examples of what positive triggers can look like:
Music for each headmate, including playlists, albums, artists, and songs
Stimboards, moodboards, inspiration boards, and other collections of images that speak out to each headmate
Cooking, preparing, or eating a food, snack, or beverage that a particular headmate enjoys
Engaging with hobbies, media, and activities that a particular headmate is known to like
And more! Get creative with your system and brainstorm different positive triggers you can incorporate into your lives in order to help facilitate switches in the future!
5. Manage expectations
Unfortunately, not all systems are able to switch. Some hosts and other frontstuck headmates may never be able to fully leave the front. Cofronting with another headmate and allowing them to make decisions and treat the body as their own can be a great way to allow other system members to front, even if it’s not a full-fledged “switch.” Switching can look incredibly different for different systems, and even for different headmates in the same system! So don’t be too discouraged if you or your frontstuck members aren’t able to switch out fully - cofronting and being coconscious are both valid ways for other headmates to experience the world.
Where can I learn more about switching?
There’s lots of information out there to help all kinds of systems start learning about or managing switches! Here are some links to websites where you can learn more.
Note: some sites which are geared towards created, spontaneous, or endogenic systems may suggest purposeful dissociation as a way to trigger a switch. While this may be useful for some systems, adding more dissociation to the lives of those already struggling with dissociative disorders is a very bad idea and should be avoided! So if you are diagnosed with a dissociative disorder (DID, OSDD, DPDR, etc.), suspect you may have a dissociative disorder, or suspect your system is trauma-formed, it may be best to avoid following advice from sites aimed towards paromacers, those with thoughtforms, and nontraumagenic systems. For everyone’s convenience, we have starred (*) links to guides which involve purposeful dissociation so systems who already have trouble with dissociation can avoid them! If you’re not sure whether or not your system has dissociation issues, it’s best to PLAY IT SAFE and avoid these kinds of guides. Please use critical thinking and your own discretion when reading about switching online!
Terminology note: some of these sites use “tulpa” language, which is known to be racist and culturally appropriative. Please keep this in mind when browsing these sites. In our personal life, we use “paro/paromancy” language instead to avoid causing further harm to marginalized groups.
Intentional Switching (DID) from DIS-SOS
Switching and Passive Influence from DID-Research.org
*Fuliam’s Guide on how to switch from Tulpa.info*
*Malfael’s Guide to Switching from Tulpanomicon*
Our own resource post for questioning systems has lots of links to resources on dissociative disorders and other forms of plurality, many of which may have sections or advice on switching!
Questions? Comments? Something we missed?
We could write whole books on the many different aspects of switching, and how switches can vary from system to system and headmate to headmate. We’re sorry if we’ve left something out here that you or your system thinks is important! This post didn’t touch on passive influence, rapid switching, physical symptoms of switching, and many other switching-related topics. This is just a general overview with some advice on switching intentionally and voluntarily!
If you have any further questions, feel free to comment on this post or send us an ask and we’d be happy to answer to the best of our ability! We may not have all the answers, but we’re happy to share what we know. If you made it this far, thanks so much for reading! Stay well, and have a great day!

Hey! I have a question/discussion point for anyone who's interested. This is particularly targeted towards created systems, but anyone can chime in!
So I guess as an endo critical person I want to understand the concept of created systems more than I already do, because I feel like there's a lot I don't know.
Do you guys see yourselves as part of the endogenic community, or do you think of yourselves as a separate community? What terms do you use (and why, if you have a specific reason)? What is the process of creating headmates and why did you decide to? (Feel free to pick and choose what to answer based on comfortability; no pressure to reply at all or with anything you don't want to share.)
Also, I'm wondering how y'all feel about the term tulpamancy? Personally I think it's cultural appropriation, and it honestly kind of confuses me how the original practice of tulpamancy changed into it's modern definition. But I'm interested to hear peoples' thoughts on it.
Idk. This is pretty open ended. I guess I just want to understand better, because I generally have a pretty critical outlook on the concept, but a lot of that is because of bias from past interactions so I thought I'd ask for different perspectives.
Have a lovely day, everyone <3

Hiya! Regarding PluralKit, do you have advices/tips on how to make a neat/aesthetic descriptions? Inspirations for examples on how to make one, or like- a copy paste of the template? Sorry if I'm asking a lot whoop-
🪺 (She/Her) & 🍎 (He/Him) & 🌀 (She/Her) & <3 (She/Her) Began Writing
😐🏹 (He/Him), 😐📖 (He/Him) Finishing.
Hi, sorry for the lateness of answering this ask. And thank you for sending in an ask! ❣️ And don't worry you're not asking too much!
So pluralkit is a bit tricky when it comes to making descriptions as for some systems it might be difficult to keep your information below the character limit. We even ourselves struggle with making a very pleasant aesthetic bio for pluralkit ourselves.
Our main tips are limited with Pluralkit bios specifically; but we might be able to get something!
Actively conversate and make sure you know what you're wanting, what you need, and what you can leave out! If you can't convey everything in just the bio of your pluralkit page, possibly try working that information into individual headmates/sysmates bios!
Take advantage of online guides like discord servers that help with aesthetic pluralkit bios, and definitely maybe dip your own toes into the idea of making your own!
A lot of premade templates exist by simply googling "Pluralkit/Tupperbox System Bio Templates". Tumblr as a million, but there are few and very far between, especially taking into account syscourse and people making templates specifically for and only for traumagenic systems, limiting the resources.
We personally definitely recommend using these carrds here as its something of a common practice to use symbols that are from other languages like Japanese or Arabic as aesthetic symbols for rain or stars, and it messes with screen readers.
Make sure to take and leave as you will! We honestly in most advice asks here asking about how to organize and such will offer as much inspiration as we can! While also encouraging people to seek what they want to display if they have an idea, and leave what you as a system don't wish to explore.
So we actually are going to put our own template making skills to use and make a broad base template any system can use!:

System questions!!
-Do most/all of you draw?
-Does one of you post art more often or would you say it's a collaborative effort?
-Do any of you have favourite subject matters to draw? (I think,,, Molly's a sonic fan? For example. Unless I forgor in which case I am embarrassed)
-Does it ever happen that multiple of you wanna draw at the same time? How do you resolve that?
-Do you guys have a cohesive art style, or do some headmates have their own?
Ok questionnaire over!! As always, answer/skip freely.
PS. I love your art sm. I'm eating it actually. Printing out every single piece and putting it on my plate and consuming it
1) most of us draw! we know its different with most systems but since our host grew up loving art its kinda a system wide knowledge/hobbie something we just know we gotta do like reading or writing lol does that make sense? (tho some dont enjoy it like others ect ect)
2) it really depends on who our most frequent front of the month is /hj but most the time we wanna say its a collaborative effort! it really just depends on who drew what and if they liked it enough (or was comfortable enough) to share
3) when people remember small things about our headmates >>>>> everything else /vpos hehehehe but yeah! molly and emily love sonic! thats their favorite thing to draw (but molly will really just doodle whatever a headmates asks her to if she's up to it) red really like drawing slapstick doodles tho! we learned odie is a big fan of drawing hair and another headmates like drawing horror/gore (and this one might not count but rj loves drawing the rise boys specifically)
4) oh god yeah and we still struggle with how to deal with that dhdjjdd it really depends on who's wanting to draw at the same time, red and mikey usually just tag team it like molly and louis but if its like donnie and alex they usually wanna draw two separate things and it ends up like the 'this is fine' meme so basically we end up not drawing honestly lol
5) we're bias on this one! cuz we can usually recognize who drew what (sometimes lol) so to us yes? but to everyone else we dont really know ^^; we do know that two of our headmates have extremely different styles tho! but we dont post their art on the blog lmaoo
DJDJDKRKRK THANK U SM AND THANKS FOR THESE THIS WAS FUN DJDJDJ WE LOVE SYSTEM QUESTIONS

I know someone asked about the pedophilia accusations, but what about the zoophilia ones? That's just as bad, if not worse?
I answered this several times in the past, but the short of it was making a post referring to a broad definition of zoophilia that included things like pet play, art, and other things that didn't actually involve harming literal animals.
A specific concern of mine is puritanical views limiting relationships for animal-identifying headmates and otherkin in virtual reality.
I think it's important, as we gradually move to an era where we'll be inhabiting worlds where we can be whatever we want and look however we want, to protect our rights to create and use avatars of whatever species we identify with. (Or just want to use.)
The funny thing about the whole controversy at the time was that I think most people agreed with my actual stances. They just didn't like me using the broad definition of zoophilia. 🤷‍♀️
Anyway, I'm very confused by this ask. Harming animals and children is both wrong... but IMO, harming human children is several degrees worse and I don't understand how you could think otherwise.

we're Petri, it/its pronouns, and this is a revamp of our old emoji blog, now focused on providing symbols and emojis primarily for AAC boards. we believe that AAC users should be able to have access to the same words and conversations that non-AAC users do, and thus prioritize symbols that are mundane or hard to find elsewhere
we don't use the queue often, instead tending to just post whenever we draw something new. this means we tend to post in bursts, and there are times when the blog is rather quiet
we have a Google Drive (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_uxMRr4CGOl2hcJnYTFoOh6Fj47qoypi?usp=sharing) that acts as a database of our emojis, including ones currently in the queue, which we recommend checking out if you're looking for something specific or just want to browse!!
requests are open!!
Please note, while we're comfortable with interaction from kink blogs and are comfortable drawing kink-related symbols (AAC users can be kinksters too!), we would prefer that kink blogs request on anon. It's alright to tag yourself in the ask or ask us to tag you when it's done, but as we're sex-averse we aren't comfortable with answering direct asks from kink blogs. Additionally, while we are comfortable drawing kink-related symbols, please keep in mind that our symbols are meant for AAC. Please don't just use us for free kink art
FAQ
[PT: FAQ. end PT]
Can I use your emojis?
yes. if you're using it for an AAC board, no credit is required. if you're using it on Discord or other social medias and websites, we ask that you provide credit to us in some way
Will you do an emoji related to [x]?
yes. the only reason we can forsee denying a request is because it's triggering to our OCD, it's too complex, we can't find a way to depict it, and/or it can't be posted on Tumblr. this means we're fine with doing emojis related to darker topics, because we believe that everyone should have access to whatever words they need
Can I edit your emojis?
it depends. recolours are always fine, so long as you don't take credit for the entire emoji; if you like, you can ask us for the individual layers and/or Krita file to make recolouring easier. for other edits, if you're using it for an AAC board and not sharing it, then you may edit it however you like. if you're planning to edit it and post it/share it with others, we ask that you ask us permission first for our own peace of mind
Do you do word emojis?
we do, but we focus on symbols as that's what we use on our own boards. word emoji requests will probably take longer. names will almost always be word emojis; pronouns will often be word emojis, but if we can find a symbol way to depict them, we'll likely do that
Do you do fictional characters?
for the most part, yes, so long as they have a design {whether canon or popular fanon}, are not an OC, and don't conflict with our OCD. however, requested fictional characters will be just a basic emoji to allow you to refer to them. in the future, we plan to take commissions for larger fictional character sets that depict them doing other things
How long do requests take you?
it depends. we're a full-time university student and multiply disabled, with several symptoms that make drawing difficult for us, so we can't guarantee a quick turnaround. additionally, we do requests in the order that we think will take the least energy, not by when we received them, and sometimes we'll prioritize emojis that we need for our own AAC boards over requests
feel free to send in ask reminding selfves or checking on status!! helps selfves with motivation and memory
Why are your emojis in multiple different artstyles?
this blog is run by a system, with different headmates doing different drawings. while generally a request is taken or emoji is drawn based on whichever headmate feels up to it, you're free to request a specific artist draw it, so long as you realise that might take a bit longer
the main artists are Cecil and Idiosyncrasy. less-common artists are Prayingthing, Gerrymander, and Jonathan

hi im questioning plurality and scared to ask systems i know irl about experiences and help so im asking for help here (im sorry if ive already sent an ask to this blog bc i /gen dont remember if i did)
okay i think im going to split this up into two sections, one for reasons I think I may be and symptoms, another for reasons why i think I may not.
Reasons I think I may be plural:
I frequently experience bouts of dissociating or just feel generally fuzzy and after i can feel a range of symptoms including: Feeling a new energy with me, confusion on where i am, confusion on who i am, feeling an off feeling, thinking something is wrong with my body or room and more.
I frequently feel multiple energys w/ me w/ different emotions, ages, and general vibes.
I constantly switch between feeling very strongly w/ one belif or gender to the point where it feels like i have always felt like this then not long after sometimes feeling the complete opposite.
I very often feel not incontrol and almost like someone else is in control of the body.
I occasionally say things aloud that i dont think I actually said and it feels like someone else did.
I occasionally think things that i dont think I actually thought and it was like someone else did.
I have occasional laspses in memory.
Reasons I think I'm not plural:
I have 3 irl plural friends so statistically its very unlikely that I am plural too.
I retain almost all memory from when I feel like I am different people.
I feel like I am always there no matter what.
The different energies I feel tend to be very similar to my own and I cant really distinguish between them for the most part.
I feel like I may just be experiencing symptoms of something else and confusing them for plurality.
I feel like I am forcing myself to experience symptoms of plurality.
I don't think the truama i have could have been bad enough for me to be plural (im sorry if there are plural ppl who dont have truama i js dont know much on that topic specifically)
Other things to note:
I have ADHD and Autism (un-medicated)
I have BPD or Bipolar disorder (me and my therapist are still discussing which we think it may be)
I hope someone sees this and could please help me figure out if maybe another disorder is making me experience these things or if those symptoms listed are genuinely symptoms of plurality because I cannot figure out if what I am experiencing is normal or not
also im vvvv sorry if this is a blog that connot help w/ this kind of thing /gen
Hello there. I can tell by the way your organized this ask you've thought a lot about this question! I'll try to answer most of your points and hope my input helps as you continue to evaluate this question.
Your first few points regarding amnesia for where you are, identity confusion regarding your gender, and depersonalization with your body, based on what you've said here, points towards fairly high dissociation. At the very least, looking into dissociative disorders in general might be a good idea for you (and your therapist) to explore. This is especially true if these symptoms cause a lot of distress and hardship in your life.
You also talk about not feeling in control of your body, your actions, and your thoughts. The way you describe these feelings is similar to how we and many other systems might describe it. However, it can also be good to also ask if the "someone else" who did and said these things was you in a heightened emotion or at a different time, or if it was a distinctly different person. Even singlets have a variety of emotions based on different situations. Consider how consistent these actions are, is there a pattern? Does x person mostly tend to react y way to z situation? We've found it helpful to establish patterns when trying to figure out if there's a headmate involved.
Regarding your reasons you may not be plural, there's a few things I want to note. Regarding your plural friends, I wouldn't say it's "statistically unlikely" that you're plural. To truly consider the statistics, you would want to look at total populations, like of a region or country, not just in a friend group. For example, some friend groups will have no one plural, but that doesn't mean plural people don't exist. Friends come together for a variety of reasons, largely for similarities in life experiences and identities. It's possible you've found friends similar to you in some regards, and this might include plurality.
Your next three points about retaining most of your memories, feeling always present, and how these "energies" feel similar to your own also do not entirely rule out plurality. These descriptions could be from a median system, which, on the sliding spectrum of plurality, is a sort of is not quite singlet but not quite as distinct as plural systems and their headmates. It might be helpful to look into median systems as well as possibly fragments as you continue to question if you're plural.
On your final point, I do want to point out that not every system experienced trauma. Some experienced trauma but it didn't cause their plurality, and some, even if they experienced trauma, may not feel it was "enough" to cause plurality. What you say about your trauma is what many other plural people say. Try to put that question aside as you question your plurality, or at least don't dig in too deeply.
Now for your notes. The high number of plural autistics has been frequently discussed in the plural community. Not every autistic is plural of course, nor is every plural, but it makes sense that those with different brains and neuro types would also show and develop other differences like plurality. Regarding your BPD or bipolar disorder, there are also systems with these disorders. So it's not really about being plural or having one of these- both can occur. What's important to consider is how the symptoms align with each disorder. Can your amnesia, dissociation, and these different "energies" be explained by BPD or bipolar disorder? Or is there something else going on in addition to that? I think that question might be helpful as your continue those discussions with your therapist.
I hope this has been helpful to you, and we wish you the best as you continue asking if you're plural!

It's Time to Meet Them!
Before I start winding down for bed tonight, I figured, I'd finally introduce my alters/headmates! (Not sure which term I should use. I'm still a tad new to this.) Let's do this!
To preface, some of my system members may be triggering to some, given their canon sources. The listing will be under the read more!
Miguel O’Hara
Role: Protector/Caregiver
Source: Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Strong, dedicated, and brave. Miguel is his universe’s one and only Spider-Man. He comes from Earth 928-B, and lives in the year 2099. He discovered a way to travel through the multiverse, and in doing so, formed a special taskforce to ensure its safety. Whenever he isn’t busy protecting Nueva York, he’s monitoring the multiverse for any abnormalities. Despite his scary appearance, he's actually quite sweet.
Important Info: Miguel has severe trauma pertaining to abuse and loss. Please be mindful that he may not answer any questions or reply to comments involving those topics. Nor will he talk about them. Unless you know him personally, don’t ask. He’s also really busy most of the time, so responses may come late, or not at all.
Knockout
Role: Caregiver/Protector
Source: Transformers Prime
Age: 2,550,000
Gender: Male
A former Decepticon turned Autobot, Knockout has seen his fair share of hardships. He was once a mod surgeon on his home planet of Cybertron. However, once the war started, he became a medic for the Decepticons. After coming to earth, he joined the Autobots. A caregiver by nature, Knockout always tries his best to treat any and all patients with love and respect. Despite his change in sides, one thing has stayed the same: His meticulous care routine. He takes pride in how he looks, and will do anything to keep his paint glistening.
Important Info: Being a medic, he's quite busy. He may not respond right away.
Breakdown
Role: Caregiver/Protector
Source: Transformers Prime
Age: 3,545,000
Gender: Male
A Wrecker with a spark of gold, Breakdown is the prime example of a golden retriever person. The gentle giant has energy to spare, even after strenuous activity! Like Knockout, Breakdown is a former Decepticon, joining the Autobots after arriving on earth. He has immense strength, but is a little dumb at times. He lost an optic (eye) due to M.E.C.H, an organization that sought to harness Cybertronian anatomy for their personal gain.
Important Info: In regards to the M.E.C.H situation, Breakdown has PTSD. Please be mindful not to trigger it. Don’t mention the organization, or Cylas. If you want to know about that specifically, ask Knockout or me (The host).
Starscream
Role: Protector
Source: Transformers Prime
Age: 4,500,00
Gender: Male
A cunning strategist and former Commander of the Decepticons, Starscream can be a force to be reckoned with. However, his sharp mind can often be dulled by his impulsivity and rashness. Having been Megatron’s right hand for centuries, Starscream has seen his fair share of terrible things. He’s even done terrible things himself, but he’s trying to make up for it. Working with the Autobots is merely the first step.
Important Info: Starscream is a victim of severe physical, emotional, and psychological abuse. As a result, he is often highly anxious and quick to anger. Please don’t mention Megatron around him. Don’t use aggressive language; it triggers him very badly. If you ask him about anything pertaining to his days as a Decepticon, he may not answer right away. Or, he may not answer at all, depending on the topic. If you want to know more about any of Starscream’s triggers, please ask Knockout, Breakdown, or me.
Cloud Strife
Role: Protector
Source: Final Fantasy VII (OG/Remake/Rebirth)
Age: 21
Gender: Male
A former SOLDIER infantryman with a tendency of being a self-proclaimed badass, Cloud is definitely a man of great consequence. Toting around the massive Buster Sword, his augmented strength is nothing to sneeze at. However, despite his hard exterior, he’s actually quite nice– if you know how to treat him.
Important Info: He may come off as stand-offish at times, but he doesn’t mean to. He has trauma pertaining to loss and manipulation. Due to his trauma, he has PTSD, so please don’t talk about Sephiroth if it can be helped.
Nanaki/Red XIII
Role: Caregiver
Source: Final Fantasy VII (OG/Remake/Rebirth)
Age: 48 human years (15 or 16 in Buma years)
Gender: Male
A sentient beast with red fur and a fiery tail. Nanaki, known to most as Red XIII, is a loyal companion. He may not understand a lot of things, given his age, but he tries his best. Born in Cosmo Canyon, Nanaki lived in the wild most of his life– until he was captured by Shinra and sent to Midgar. Once he was placed in Shinra’s R&D laboratory, he was subjected to many, unethical things; none of which I’ll mention because it triggers me. A little shy, Nanaki may stammer or stutter sometimes when he speaks. But once he finds his footing, he speaks fairly eloquently.
Important Info: Nanaki is a minor! Please refrain from talking about anything 18+. He has some trauma involving Shinra's R&D department; namely, Hojo. He'll talk about it, but he might not respond in a timely manner.

thoughts on a singlet(?) whose emotions/emotional states have distinct genders & vaguely-kinda-mostly chose human names for themselves?
these names/genders are consistent and distinct, and may have several of them ‘covering’ different aspects of the same emotion, or may have one covering different (but related) emotions. they’re not truly autonomous, don’t talk/communicate with me, aren’t present all (or even most) of the time, and don’t do things that surprise me. the most unexpected they get is when they suddenly change and my gender shifts suddenly & i’m comfy/prefer a different name
- 🌊 (in case i ever figure it out and update y’all, lol)
Hm, well, first thoughts are that plurality and singlecy are both spectrums, ones that don't exactly have a clearly defined boundary, and it sounds like you are somewhere in that grey area.
You may find the term parasian helpful - a term that refers to median systems who are towards the singlet end of the plural spectrum.
You may look into servitors, something I believe even singlets can commonly have, iwrc.
You may also want to examine the diagnosis of Maladaptive Daydreaming Disorder and corresponding nondisordered neurodivergence of Immersive Daydreaming to see if these may actually be paras, as our understanding is that paras tend to not have the autonomy that headmates do, with the exceptions of paratives/paragenic systems.
It is also possible that you could be a singlet experiencing something akin to IFS naturally, have a desire to use multiple names due to gender or alterhuman reasons - and may even experience your emotions as compartmentalized in this way for alterhuman reasons as well. (Alterhuman encompasses plurality as well, but is a wider umbrella label, and you may fall elsewhere under it.)
The label pluralflux may also be somewhat meaningful.
Plural nonsystem especially stands out to us from your description, as it can include non-autonomous parts or even states - the wiki entry specifically says states as in BPD, but my experience with BPD even outside of plurality sounds like it may simply be the disordered version of what you may experience in a nondisordered way (or possibly disordered as well, I can't tell from the ask).
Some further thoughts that may be helpful: You could easily label yourself plural or singlet according to what is the most helpful framework for conceptualizing your own consciousness(es).
Do you have any desire to be plural? Would you (a) like these parts of you to be more separate, have more autonomy, and be responsive? Would you (b) prefer they be more integrated with less autonomy? Are you (c) perfectly happy existing as you are now?
If the answer is a, you may want to look into tulpa/willogenic creation guides. If b, IFS may still help, as might looking into fusion. If c, you're golden, just try to balance your desire for a label with the time it takes to find one that settles comfortably on you.
Remember that labels are just to help us best understand ourselves. There's no getting it wrong. If a label fits or seems to fit for a time and then is no longer useful, it still helped us for that period, and we can Marie Kondo it and thank it for its service to us before discarding it. Going into a label knowing it may not be permanent - like a relationship, that it may be a fling or lifelong, can be helpful in being gentle and patient with ourselves as we figure it out.
You are welcome to ask further questions about any of this, and if you do settle on a label (or lack thereof), we'd always be happy to hear about it! We hope any of this may be helpful and wish you besf of luck in figuring it out. ^^

Ask game :>
When did you first get into Homestuck?
Ever made a trollsona?
Favorite guardian?
Favorite Alternian ancestor?
What caste do you feel you’d belong to, regardless of your zodiac?
- @iassignpeoplehomestucktrolls
Ooh, thank you.
When did you first get into Homestuck?
I believe it was around late 2021? I first started reading a year or so before, but stopped after the end of Act 1 because I wasn't really interested in a story that I thought at the time began with a whole act of nonsense words, then skipped to a post-apocalypse with completely new characters. If I had just read on a few pages, however, I would have found out what I did the second time I found a link from the bottom of XKCD's page: Homestuck is actually very much our thing.
Have you ever made a trollsona?
Yes, I have. His name was Altair Tascii, and you will be able to find him in my fan-adventure when it comes out some time in the next year or so. You can also find him on my blog; he became a headmate by accident, and infrequently posts.
Favorite guardian?
Probably Mom Lalonde (pre-Scratch Roxy, that is).
Favorite Alternian ancestor?
This is a hard one. Probably the Ψiioniic.
What caste do you feel you’d belong to, regardless of your zodiac?
We always thought Teal-blood was a good fit, and we are bodily a Libra after all. Altair is Teal, Terezi was our favourite troll for an amount of time, and the kind of nerd-y stereotype they got through Hiveswap fits as well.
I'm considering making a full response to all the questions in the ask game, but only giving short answers, and I can elaborate if anyone wants to ask specific ones, including ones I wasn't very in-depth about here.

Helping Persecutors and Violent Headmates (While Protecting Your System)!
Hello! This post will mostly contain information that we’ve repeated in past responses to asks. We wanted to have a post separate from ask responses with tips, resources, and advice on helping violent headmates while protecting yourself and your system. So here we are! In a question-answer format because that seems to work well for us.
This post got ridiculously long! In order to spare those who aren’t interested in this post, we are putting it under a cut.
Disclaimer: we are just one system, speaking from our own past experiences and what we’ve learned through our own research and therapy. This post shouldn’t be the end-all-be-all for learning how to deal with difficult headmates. Every system is different, so what’s worked for us may not work for you. If you or your system is in danger, please contact a therapist, mental health professional, or your local crisis response unit.
Trigger Warning: This post mentions trauma, abuse, suicide, homicide, involuntary isolation or “jailing” headmates, and other potentially triggering topics!
What is a persecutor?
A persecutor is a system member who regularly causes intentional harm to themself, their system’s body, or their headmates. A headmate who causes harm occasionally isn’t necessarily a system persecutor. You can learn more about persecutors through Pluralpedia (<- link).
Why is my headmate angry, mean, spiteful, or violent all the time?
There could be many reasons why a headmate is regularly hateful or violent. Some common reasons might be:
- They are traumatized and are either acting out past traumas, processing their trauma in unhealthy ways by taking out their negative emotions on others, or formed to fill the role of a past abuser.
- They have unmet needs which cause them to often feel angry, upset, and unfulfilled. They may have trouble understanding their needs or effectively communicating their needs to the rest of their system.
- They never learned how to properly regulate their emotions, process painful memories, and respond to their emotions in healthy ways. Emotional regulation is a skill that must be practiced - people don’t just automatically know how to regulate their emotions when first encountering them.
And more. Every headmate is different, so there may be some unique reason why your system has a headmate who regularly incites violence, causes drama and internal strife, and otherwise lashes out at the rest of their system.
How can I help my angry, mean, or hateful headmates?
There’s lots of things you can do to help your headmate! Try to choose things that sound helpful for your specific situation. Some options for things you can do to help your headmate are:
Talk to them!
Try asking your headmate if there’s anything they want to talk about. Let them know what kind of effect their actions have had on the rest of your system. There’s a lot of questions you might ask that might help you and your headmate find common ground. Here are some examples (text copied from previous response):
- What does treating the rest of us unkindly achieve for you?
- Sometimes people act harsh or mean because they’re afraid. Is there something that’s scaring you?
- What are your needs? Do you feel like they’re not being met?
- Why don’t you want to work together so the whole system can feel safe? Is there something hindering you in our system? Can we work together to figure something out that works for everyone?
- Sometimes it’s necessary to do things you don’t want to do if it will help the system and benefit us all. Is there anything you would be willing to try and do differently?
When having these conversations with your headmate, please try to be gentle and to approach them from a place of kindness. Acting accusatory or growing heated may cause them to get defensive, so it’s important to try and handle these conversations in a calm state of mind, if possible. Your headmate might be unwilling to have a conversation with you initially, but with time and diligence, maybe they’ll come around!
Provide an outlet!
If a headmate is dealing with lots of painful emotions and doesn’t have a proper way to vent or express themself, they may end up taking their emotions out on other members of their system. So having a notebook, journal, sketchbook, blog, or digital space that’s just for them could be immensely healing and beneficial! This outlet should belong solely to this headmate and no one else - it’s important for the rest of your system to respect your headmate’s right to privacy. If they feel like they have an outlet for their emotions that’s truly their own, it might help them feel less inclined to lash out at other system members.
You can also help them release energy in nonviolent ways by getting a stress ball or punching bag, finding some sort of physical activity that they might enjoy, or helping them create a playlist of energetic or cathartic music to listen to. Get creative and collaborate with your system to figure out what outlets will work best for your headmate!
Encourage them to come to therapy!
If your system is in therapy, it would be a great idea to gently encourage this headmate to attend a session in the future. You can talk to them about what therapy is like beforehand, and ask your therapist for advice on how best to connect with this headmate. Maybe you could ask your headmate to write a letter to your therapist, or to write down a list of questions for your therapist, if that might be easier for them than actually showing up to a session! Your headmate might be unwilling to participate or try and connect with your therapist, but it’s worth a shot to at least offer them the opportunity to do so, and to remind them that they can change their mind and come to therapy at any time.
Help them feel loved and included!
It would probably be a great idea to go out of your way to make sure your headmate can see that their system loves them and wants to take care of them, regardless of their behavior! It may be hard for your whole system to get on the same page here, but even if just one or two headmates can commit to showing your violent headmate they care, it’s possible to make a difference! You can try and accomplish this by:
- Trying to include this headmate in internal discussions and conversations/asking their opinion before doing things that will affect the body or the whole system
- Paying attention to what this headmate likes and getting them small gifts occasionally
- Letting this headmate know when you see something positive that made you think of them
- Compliment them! Tell them you love them! Remind them that they are a cherished member of your system just the way they are!
Teach your whole system grounding techniques and emotional regulation!
Even if this headmate has no interest in learning new things or having positive interactions with the rest of your system, if the rest of y’all commit to learning grounding techniques and picking up emotional regulation skills, some of that information may rub off on this headmate. If your system is in therapy, it would be a great idea to ask your therapist about developing coping techniques for grounding and emotional regulation. We can also recommend the DBT Skills Workbook (<- Amazon link), which has been very helpful for our own system!
How can I protect myself and my system when my headmate is acting dangerous?
Acting nice and showing compassion won’t always be enough to protect yourself and your system. While your headmate may have good intentions, be reacting due to trauma or overwhelming emotions, or may not understand the full extent of how their actions affect others, that doesn’t mean you have to let them treat you and your system poorly! When your headmate is lashing out at you or someone else in your system, here are some things you can do to protect yourself.
- Communicate with your headmate and let them know how their actions are affecting your system. They may genuinely be unaware of the impact their actions are having on your system. They may have trouble recognizing others’ feelings or empathizing. So having some conversations with them about their actions may be useful!
- Set boundaries and enforce them. The goal is never to control headmates, cut off their agency, or make them feel powerless, no matter how much harm they cause! Doing this can usually cause resentment to build, and can make things more challenging for your system in the long run. We’ll include some articles here, here, and here on setting boundaries and how to enforce them in healthy ways. We’d encourage you to take a look if your system is struggling with setting and enforcing boundaries! The articles linked are for setting boundaries with other people (children, friends, etc.) but much of the advice listed can be beneficial for systems, too!
- Limit access to potentially harmful items. Harm reduction is always the goal here! So if you need to limit your system’s access to potentially harmful or dangerous items (ie, sharp objects, prescription medications, firearms, etc.), we’d encourage you to do that. This way, even if your headmate has the intention to cause physical harm, their efforts may be thwarted due to having limited access to dangerous items. Your system may need to learn how to work around not using these items, or ensure that only one headmate has the ability to access these items when needed.
- Set up a safety plan. Have a conversation with your system to try and figure out warning signs, potential negative triggers, and how to center and ensure your system’s safety in various situations. At what point should you ask someone outside for help? At what point should you have an intervention inside where multiple members voice their concerns with your headmate? At what point should you reach out to a crisis center or go to the emergency room? Every system is different, so talk to your headmates and work together to establish a safety plan that works best for y’all - and don’t be afraid to put your plan into action when the time comes!
In all this, please let your violent headmate know that you need to center your whole system’s safety and well-being. While they may not like some of the decisions your system makes, it’s so important to make sure that your physical safety is not compromised!
When should my system lock up or “jail” my headmate?
Personally, we feel like locking up or “jailing” a headmate functions as an attempt to control a headmate, forcibly taking away their agency and ultimately causing pain and resentment to build up inside. We will NEVER advocate for isolating a particular headmate, and believe that there are always other, better options to utilize instead of potentially traumatizing your headmate by cutting them off from the world and their system.
However, every system is different. If your system has exhausted all other options, use your own discretion when it comes to purposefully isolating violent headmates. Understand though that we will never promote this method, and we truly do feel like it may end up causing more harm than good to the affected headmate and the rest of your system.
What should I do if my headmate threatens serious harm, to take our life, or take the life of someone we know?
Seek outside help. This absolutely is the time to put your safety plan into action and also reach out to someone outside your system for help. This can be a therapist, a trusted friend or loved one, or even a suicide prevention lifeline. We do not recommend dialing 911 or contacting the police, as police are generally known to escalate overwhelming situations and put vulnerable people directly in harm’s way.
It should not be just on you to protect your system or loved ones from a headmate that actively intends to cause long lasting harm to your body or to someone else. Please, if your headmate is making violent, suicidal, or homicidal threats, don’t delay and don’t try to handle this on your own. Get help soon!
We are always available to help find a local crisis stabilization hotline, regardless of your country. So if you’re having trouble figuring out who to call, reach out via DMs and we can help!
Wrapping Up
We know this post got very long, but it’s still not an exhaustive guide on everything you can do to help yourself and your headmates when dealing with angry, hateful, or violent system members. Remember, not everything we’ve said here will be useful for every system! So take what works best for you and create your own plan for helping and connecting with your troubled headmates.
We hope something here will be useful to some of y’all! We’re sorry about the lengthy nature of this post, but if you’ve made it this far, thank you so much for reading! We’re wishing y’all the very best, and hope that soon you can make some progress towards positive change with the persecutors and angry, hateful, or violent headmates in your system. Please try to take care of each other to the best of your abilities, and have a wonderful day!

A introduction post? In THIS blog??
Yooooo I finally decided I was ready to write a introduction post so.... Here we go. Your generic system introduction. :)
Basic info
Our main blog is @henryzin , which is not very open about plurality there, that's what this blog is for!
We are a quoigenic system who collectively goes by the name Night&Light, it can be said in any way. Night, Light, Nightlight, your choice!
About the blog(and a bit of us)
This blog has the purpose of.... Just ramble about our plural experience :) we draw too, sometimes, but in this blog it's mostly very simple doodles. Asks about anything regarding our plurality are welcome! I might choose not to answer some freely, if it makes any of us uncomfortable.
We have some signs of dissociative barriers, and purposeful switches are kinda difficult, so be patient if you want to ask something for a specific headmate, but ask anyway!
We'll not focus much on discourse, it might be touched sometimes, but we mostly want to talk about the ups and downs of plural life, and make someone's day a bit brighter with jokes.
Some headmates are silent regarding of internet interactions, if they get mentioned I'll probably talk for them since some don't like to come near front.
Headmates
I'm Rick, and I'm the one who mostly posts here, but I will make a list of the other headmates and go updating it as they front and decide what they want in it (that includes emojis, sorry, no colorful post by now).
Here's fun list:
Rick – he/him — The host(against my will), runs this blog;
Henry – he/him — Ex-host, likes to post too;
Isabela – she/they — Just a girl, just a silly, currently dormant :( ;
Axis – any pronouns — A silly, probably a songtive, will respond to any variation of a name starting with Axi- or Axe- ;
Alma – he/they — Not even I know what goes on with them. Might be a little?? ;
Gray – it/its — Robot fella, doesn't talk much... It's still fun anyway;
Accid – she/her — octive from a Undertale AU..... It's complicated;
Luffy – he/him — One Piece fictive lmaoooo;
Gordon Freeman – he/him — fictive specifically from Half-Life VR: Self-Aware AI :) yeppp;
DNI?
Not a specific DNI, we'll block freely. Except for this:
We're pro-endo and any origins here, if you have a problem with that just kindly move away.
———
Oh, it's the end of the post! Bye bye!

I liked your post about plural Raph and specifically about the part that maybe Mind is fronting when trying to calm down Raph in Man vs Sewer— we don’t usually see mind front, we know him best as a head mate that raph (or others somehow) talk to. So maybe mind doesn’t like/want to front but gets triggered to do so when Raph is in (specific) emotional distress. I think it could also showcase how Mind is acting as Raph like you mentioned but messing/mixing up by speaking in the third person.
100% would be down for more posts/headcanons about plural Raph. It’s so interesting and makes a lot of sense with what we’ve seen in the show (even as someone that is not really familiar with plural persons he does seem to be heavily coded that way)
I also really like to think that Raph’s family knows and is totally cool with it, but it also makes me wonder if they would want to speak to a specific head mate at times (leo asking for mind Raph)
You’re completely right about Mind fronting! I believe the only time we see them fronting within the series is when they are helping Raph’s brothers and possibly even Raphael himself. As for the reason as to why Mind may not front often have a whole headcanon based on it (and a few other interpretations you can decide if you agree with or not!)
First off, how I explain Mind not often fronting in my Figuring It Out series on Ao3 is that they are an Internal Self Helper! They base much of their energy on caring for the Shard System’s Inner World and systemmates who aren’t fronting, like Red and Savage. They have this catalog within the Inner World that Mind files away information on each headmate, their world, and other important stuff! This also kinda falls into their roles as an Overseer, Archivist, Companion, and Steward.
So, Mind is busy a lot of the time taking care of everything and keeping the System afloat in case something happens. Especially since in the series Red and Savage hate each other (for many reasons I won’t spoil) which causes a lot of shit to happen without Raph knowing about it. Since his only connection to the Inner World is Red unless he’s not fronting. Mind is also the only being Savage trusts because Mind has worked for a very long time trying to gain his trust and showing that they just want Savage to feel safe and remain healthy.
Mind is an important part of the integrity of the system, hence why they don’t do much on the outside! Plus, they’re Front-Repelled! It’s very hard for Mind to front unless a negative or positive trigger is strong enough to force Mind to font. Such as needing to care for whoever is fronting or their favorite music!
Secondly, other reasons are 100% possible in every context! I haven't really dug into looking up different reasons beyond my headcanons, plus I haven’t come across many Systems discussing how some headmates may not front so I’m not too well informed on other possibilities! But I can come up with some on the spot. Such as the fact that Raphael or whoever is fronting may be front stuck/front anchored, leaving Mind unable to. Mind might instead be front repulsed instead of front repelle. Or their system may work by using Front Gacha and Mind just isn’t a randomly selected fronter very often if at all!
In conclusion, I think your thoughts on Mind not liking/wanting to front is completely true and it’s honestly the most fitting answer not only based on my headcanon but also canonly since they seem to be more helper orientated! But this can be interpreted in different ways depending on what you or anyone else may want to interpret Plural Raphael as since each system has a unique experience and there is never just one answer!
For the second part of your question I AM SO GLAD YOU FEEL THAT WAY! I have like- years of build up on Plural Raph just waiting to be released and discussed LMAO. After I get done with my first fic in my series that centers around Leo the next story is literally centered around the Shard System and I’ve wanted to talk about them from the moment I planned out their story in the series! They’re such complex and interesting characters that experience the world differently and hold characteristics that are nowhere near what we see from Raphael in the series, movie, or comics! Obviously in my headcanons there is some overlap because they’re a kind of Median System, but it still doesn’t change the fact that they are just such interesting characters and I love talking about them! I’ll probably make a post about them! Unless you guys ask me specific questions about them (which is honestly easier to do since there’s so much to cover)!
As for your side comment regarding not knowing much about Plurality, I was 100% you at one point! The best way I recommend learning more about the diverse community is by following tumblrs based around Singlets asking questions/posts about systems! I will note that while it’s always good to learn about different communities, unless you’re a part of the community, I don’t at all recommend getting involved in discourse/arguments! If you want to know the Tumblrs I recommend following 100% hit me up in my DMs!
*Cracks knuckles* Okay, to answer your last and final comment on, “if they would want to speak to a specific head mate at times (leo asking for mind Raph)” I just have to say that that is an excellent wondrous brain you have there bringing this up because I’ve actually written about this in my series! Here’s an example from my most recent chapter:
"Oh!" Leo opened his eyes again at the sudden shout, ignoring how his heart jumped and his stomach slightly dropped. "Raph, I forgot I got the list of food facts Red asked me to get from my teacher! Do you still want me to send them to you guys or…?" April politely gestures at the red thread bracelet on Raph's wrist.
[Removed paragraphs]
Raph glances down at the bracelet April had gestured at for a split moment before the body's expression changes completely, lighting up like a kid in a candy shop as the body leans forward towards April excitedly.
"Food Facts, ey?" Red responds, thrilled, voice naturally deeper than Raph's. April grins as everyone else chuckles at his genuine and well-known passion for food.
"Well, I guess I got my answer then," she teases as Red rolls his eyes, smirking as he leans back in his seat, a finger wiping at his bottom eyelid.
It was one of the things Red did when he fronted. He once explained it was because he has a black goop constantly pouring from his right eye in the inner world. When Red fronts, he can still feel it there even though it isn't there when he's controlling the body.
While this isn’t a universal experience within my fic with Mind and Savage, for Red he at least fronts with a positive trigger (food facts)! He has other triggers such as keeping the body/Raphael from harm, so he’ll take control of the body/front when on Missions and someone is in danger. Plus, Red also gets forced to the front when his negative emotions become intense, especially when those emotions are from someone outside of the system, such as Raphael’s family!
I haven’t written the chapter yet regarding Mind and Leo interacting, but it’s 100% a thing in my book! I write Red and Leo having a friendship in my fic, but Mind can have a direct connection to Leo since he’s able to walk into his headspace as seen in Insane In The Mama Train! Plus, I think Mind is like a mother, they have the vibes for it, and I can see that resonating on a fundamental level with the four turtles because of their neglectful father.
So, I think Mind is an important person in their lives as well. I have a headcanon I’m planning to write about in my series where Mind would sometimes front to comfort Raph when Splinter wouldn’t. Singing Lullabies to Mikey when he had some bad nightmares from his Intrusive Thoughts (which is another thing I expand upon in my story/have a lot of headcanon about). And that Mind formed on some basis from the lack of a parental figure in Raphael’s life and because he had to become the parent to his siblings at such a young age. That kind of stress and trauma just kinda helped Mind form over the years, especially when Splinter would become distant and a neglectful parent more and more (which is thanks to his Depression, which is another thing I have a lot in thoughts on and is also expanded upon in my series. Honestly by this point it should be expected everything I say is in my series and something I would 100% talk about when asked).
If you want to keep sending in questions for me to dig deeper into all of this in a more narrow manner, please be my guest! I have a hard time trying to not be so vague so any specific questions are very welcome! But it’s 100% fine if you don’t have any!
Thank you so much for the ask! I can’t wait for more! <3
