I hate when people put Victoria and Nathan on the same level.

I’m not saying you have to like her. I totally get it, I don’t exactly read fics about her or really think up headcanons for her or anything else BUT to say she’s as bad as Nathan or David or even Jefferson is so weird to me.

She’s a bully. A really awful bully that needs a harsh reality check but she’s not out there helping her teacher kidnap other teenager girls to sexually assault. Victoria is the villain in any teen drama ever while Nathan is Criminal Minds. Totally different levels of bad are going on here.

Okay but can we talk about how accessible the Rise of the TMNT animation style is??

Like you can look at it, and SEE the smear frames, see how each movement moves.

And it’s not overly smoothed, and simplified in such a clear concise manner than makes it easier to replicate in a sense.

With each movement being clear to see, and each fight scene,motion, and expressive movement being easy to read.

You can even easily see the secondary motion in the animations too???

Whereas a lot of other shows are so overly smooth, and hard to follow the animation style, that animation becomes sort of this mysterious thing that can’t be discovered just by looking at it

And this ramble is 100% driven by this little project right here, and how for many of these being beginner or even more simplified animation styles, look GOOD, and I can only imagine how ROTTMNT influenced that.

i love characters who are fake, but i also love characters who are really genuine, but not in a good way, because all that ends up meaning for them is that they’re really exposed and can’t hide themselves.

#you know what i mean?? #both very relatable characters types to me (autistic) #like. on one hand… i’m pretty good at masking so i can relate to characters who present fake personas to shield themselves #but i can ALSO relate to genuine characters as some of my most traumatic childhood experiences were thinking it was safe for me to be #genuine and open with someone only to have the world fall out from under me #so i think that’s where my obsession with these concepts comes from #and idk… i just think about it a lot #that overexposure… when you’re laid bare in all your genuine ugliness… it’s really horrible #yeah it’s also horrible for fake characters to have their masks ripped off #but there’s also some special horror to being the one who exposed yourself - because you thought you were safe and you were wrong #and the latter is more personally relatable to me #because i have a very difficult time lying to people and that has gotten me into trouble many times #idk… i’m just rambling at this point #i just have a lot of Thoughts and Feelings
