I’m curious, what is everyone’s take on nations being born? Do they just appear out of thin air like canon suggests? Do they birth or sire them themselves? Or are they born from humans, it being a long standing(or old depending on the time period ig) fear for parents finding out their newborn is a semi-immortal representation of their kingdom/empire/country to be?

I like all three theories depending on the narrative at play but I’m leaning towards the last one because it sounds cool now that I actually put it into words lol

GOD. Can you imagine, losing to Miranda, even when she's dead? Because for all intents and purposes, she is dead. But still, Mike is captured by the idea of her, by the idea that you could do and be anything you wanted. Miranda, the girl you hate, the girl you are drawn to, the girl who rejected you in the way she rejected everything you stand for. Miranda the daring and brave in a very shallow way which admittedly is me getting a bit editorial about the situation.

It's also a touch cruel. There's no reason to tell her this, other than to reinforce that Irma has no future with you, which you've already done. At this point, it's just twisting the knife that you would rather chase the idea of a dead girl than make a life with a live one.

Irma is being PUNISHED for living, and she continue to be so, as we're about to see here.

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)

i do unironically think the best artists of our generation are posting to get 20 notes and 3 reblogs btw. that fanfic with like 45 kudos is some of the best stuff ever written. those OCs you carry around have some of the richest backstories and worldbuilding someone has ever seen. please do not think that reaching only a few people when you post means your art isn't worth celebrating.
