There is no words to explain how deeply sadden and heartbroken I am after hearing this news. He will be missed dearly and my heart and condolences goes out to the friends and family of this wonderful person who lent his voice to many beloved characters
It’s been 46 years without Elvis, yet he still has influence. I only joined this fandom last year, but in that year, Elvis has contributed to my life like no other. He helped me find my passion for life again. He helped me to look on the bright side of every situation. He brought me to a community of beautiful people that I am now so lucky and grateful to be able to call my friends. He reminded me that love is real.
It’s been 46 years without Elvis, yet his love still shines. Today is a sad day for us all; knowing that the man we all love so much is gone from the physical realm, knowing that he passed much too soon. I am in mourning, we all are in mourning. However, we must all try to find happiness in something today. Try to find your own special way to celebrate his life. He wouldn’t want us to be sad, and even though being sad on this day is inevitable, try to find a little bit of light for Elvis.
46 years ago, a beautiful soul was taken too soon. We will never forget you Elvis. We will love you and miss you forever. We know that you’re rockin’ and rollin’ up in heaven today, and every day.
It’s been 46 years without Elvis, but Elvis lives.
Now the race is over, I'm a crying mess but I keep reminding myself he's not leaving, he's just going home
He's not leaving F1, he'll never be able to leave F1. The marks he's left on track, his impact on the sport will carry on his legacy, his records, his podiums, his wins but more than anything it's him
Any team he's been a part of, any teammates he's had, any crew member, engineer, mechanic, any other driver he's given advice to or helped or offered an ear to, any person he's had contact with - they'll all carry a piece of Seb with them and so will us as fans
He's given so much to this sport and to us as fans and now we get to do the same by remembering him, what he's taught, what missions he's driving forwards now
So he's not leaving, not really, but now he gets to go home
Everyone jokes about zhongli being a grandpa, but actually, he reminds me so much of my grandpa who passed away back in 2022.
One similarity that sticks out the most to me is how zhongli established/built Liyue and my grandpa used to have an asphalt/concrete business that helped build a lot of homes, roads, and businesses in my home town and they're still standing to this day.
My dad is finally retiring our plastic Christmas Tree and so I made the comment that I didnt know if it was older than my brother (32 years) but it's definitely older than me (26 years) only for my dad to tell me that my mum bought it in *drum roll* 1982!!
Never forget the sacrifices your troops, your brave men and women, your veterans, made throughout their years of service and beyond. Never forget; Always Remember. Thank your local heroes for their service as well. Without these men and women worldwide taking the ultimate risk so their countries, their people, family, friends, siblings, children, grandchildren, never have to witness horrors beyond reality. Not only remember, but never make the mistakes (war, crimes, etc.) they made and cry for us not to remake. They died for us, so let's honor their final wishes and unspoken prayers.

I don't normally do Just Characters Swearing, but. ...this kind of wrote itself and then wouldn't leave my head. it comes from both a piece of character-writing advice that has always stuck with me, and also my conviction that Leona is 1000% funnier as a character if his dialogue has to stay G-rated. let Kalim say fuck, but don't let Leona say bastard.
I don’t think I can emphasize enough just how much Elementary understood the core of Sherlock Holmes’ character, and the kind of cases and people he is drawn to, right from the very first episode.
The pilot opens with a wealthy woman’s murder. The prime suspect is a man who is a patient of the woman’s husband, a doctor, for help with his mental disorder. The man is desperately trying to avoid any triggers that may cause him to become violent, as he has been in the past. The doctor decides to use this man as a tool to kill his wife to collect her life insurance. He manipulates both his patient and his wife, alters the man’s medications, and ignores the man’s pleas for help, in order to set a scenario that is guaranteed to trigger the man’s violence - resulting in his wife’s death and later his patient’s.
When Sherlock pieces this together, he confronts the doctor, which leads to this:
And that’s what drives Sherlock to confront the doctor directly. There’s no smugness in being right, or for figuring out who the murderer was and how he did it. Sherlock realizes that this man’s patient was just another victim - someone who desperately wanted and sought help, only to be mistreated. Sherlock Holmes in this adaptation cares so deeply about people, especially those who are denied help when they need it most, and we learn all of this from the very first case.
