armin starts his mind games as a last resort. when he's desperate to have his way. when he's being back into a corner, and you're holding your ground in an argument or disagreement. when you're winning and he's losing. he'll play into his unfortunate-baby face-sweet-boy persona and say, "i'm only telling you/doing this because i love you!" armin slaps, "I don't know what you want me to do." at the end of most arguments because he knows it will make you quit arguing out of pure frustration.

armin thinks he's not good enough for you and that you deserve someone who can do the things he can't, while simultaneously not being able to bear the thought of you being with another man. he views other guys as a threat and is off-putting on purpose. he goes through your followers and interactions daily and reports guys who leave compliments and thirsts. he gives guys dirty looks when he see's them obviously looking at you. will ask trap questions like "would you still be with me if you could start your life over?" armin is well liked among your girlfriends but makes no effort with your guy friends, and has succeeded in distancing you from a few of them. he disguises ultimatums as open communication. armin's jealousy is a delicate spectrum.

he's very possessive of you.

you're his everything and he wants everyone to know that. you're so gorgeous, he's not gonna hide you away. armin recognizes that you're your own person, and you can show off however you'd like. as long as he's somewhere in the background. he encourages that you tag him in all your posts. he fights for his life trying to convince you to let him come with you while you go out with your friends and he wins most of the time. but when he has to stay home, he stays up and waits for you, he double/triple texts and asks when you'll be home even though you made a point to give him a timeframe. and don't even be 5 minutes late because armin already has seventy-five questions lined up. if he's feeling extra silly, he'll start a fight over text. 🤪

Hello there sorry for seeing this late and I would like to make this request! Yet again I'm sorry for not seeing this earlier!

Sunny- As much as Sunny doesn't listen to music (I think he likes classical music as a Headcanon) He's very impressed by your singing and your songs. He likes to listen to them when he misses your voice maybe he even listens to them when he's going to bed. He's very supportive even if he's not good at showing his supportive face he likes to buy your merchandise. Even if it's a lot of money he likes to support you the best way he can.

Mari- She loves your music especially if you like to sing Vocaloid music. Mari is very in love with Vocaloid music so it's not a surprise you hear it now and then in her room. She's probably one of those people who knows the name of the music after hearing a few seconds into the song. Like Sunny, she would waste her money on your merchandise no matter what. She does have a bit of trouble saving money but is truly grateful if you send her some merchandise that she wanted.

Hero- He's supportive even if he doesn't understand that type of music. He would hear it once in a while but not all the time. He doesn't fully understand the genre of the music but likes to listen to it because of your voice. He never knew you could sing like a beautiful dignity. Of course, he does spend his money on your merchandise once in a while probably like small stuff like pins or a T-shirt. He likes to save his money on other things like taking you out on small dates.

Kel- He's so hyped up for your music. Like Hero, he doesn't understand the genre of the music but he doesn't care if it's you singing it he'll love it no matter what. A bit too broke to buy your merchandise but does improvise. He would make homemade stickers or maybe try to make a paper figure of you/your persona. I feel like if someone sees you in public he'll say "Yeah they're my significant other. Did you know they could sing and have their own songs too?" You probably have to drag him away from the person because he would spend hours talking about you.

Aubrey- Loves your music. She probably shows her support by wearing a T-shirt with album covers on it. Sometimes her friends tease her for it but she'll probably beat them up if they keep pushing it. Like Kel, she doesn't have money so she'll improvise by making homemade pins and stickers. She'll be very happy if you send her some of your merchandise but try to keep cool.

Basil- He loves Vocaloid a lot and that's probably his favorite genre of music. He has some of your merchandise like T-shirts, posters, pins, stickers, and maybe one figure of you/ your persona. He's very embarrassed to say that he likes your music but it's pretty obvious that he loves it by how many things he has of your merchandise.

Unfortunately due to recent-ish changes on Tumblr I no longer feel comfortable posting here much or at all. I'll keep my blog up for the foreseeable future or maybe even forever because of how Tumblr stores data. I'd rather have the link back to the source.

They're against generative AI. Their reinforcement came out around the time Tumblr's not-really-against-it stance came out. This is huge to me.

They're working on a PWA of the site so it will have a way to function like a smartphone app

Image post options aren't great but you aren't limited to 4 (unlike cohost - kinda, and Bluesky)

Alt text gets eaten if you edit a post currently which is awful. (Tumblr used to do this.) Alt text isn't an option for picture type posts but is for text posts with pictures. But hey at least you can include alt text!

Communities are nice for fandoms and stuff. You can search by tags but you don't follow tags, you join/watch communities.

They have funding for the next 6 months past any month that was fully funded. So as of April 1, 2024, funding should last until (the end?) of October if they were to not get any more donations/subscriptions from now on. Basically, they have a 6 month buffer and so far for 2024 they've been keeping it and maintaining their monthly funding goals

Home page URL should not change but artwork URLs might

The artwork section is inspired by Tumblr's archive page/system. I don't think I want it to be exactly like it (might be a limitation of static pages re: tag filtering) but I want to try and partially make it

Artwork on there have been nightshaded and glazed. I would like to reglaze some pieces that are too glazed for my liking, now that I have a better computer for it (so it doesn't take forever). That's why not a lot of art is on there yet

I might go into detail about how I automated some of the web dev stuff to make my life easier on my my main blog. In summary: I'm using 11ty (eleventy), generating pages from data and templates, using github for version control and github actions for updating the site automatically

Bluesky:

Feeds are cool. I've found and made (through SkyFeed) a lot of Feeds. Feeds can look for text in posts and alt text, and/or specific tags. Can filter out reblogs or replies. Can work off of user lists. Can include/exclude specific posts - like Twitter Moments. There's a lot of flexibility and filtering.

Feeds can lookback anywhere from 25 hours to 1 week when not looking at one user. So when pulling from many users, you could just get the latest updates. For one user (say your own gallery of whatever) you're allowed to go back to the beginning, it can be your art gallery. And then people can just follow that feed so you don't have to worry about your art getting buried if people just want to follow your art

There's a setting you can turn on to warn and prevent you from posting until you add alt text. I love this. Especially since, like Twitter, you can't go back and edit a post

Forcing ALT text has the added bonus of leaving it last so I can double check tags and text in case I accidentally hit the post button before I'm ready

Twitch

There is art. And VTuber stuff. And life updates. Art/project updates. Lots of OC talk. Like I wish I could post more about Null considering how much stuff I've spoken about them on stream but freaking time! And energy.

YouTube

Used to do more Timelapses but stopped because laptop was not having fun with it. Now that I have a new computer it might be better!

Also has Twitch VODs because I want another place to back up VODs since local recordings take up a lot of space. And I can mark Chapters(/Moments?) timestamps to find stuff again.

So what is the blog for now? Archiving, mainly, as I said at the beginning. I might link to my neocities page in maybe art updates or to pillowfort. And I might need a place to fall back to if the other sites don't last. I know bluesky and cohost are not much better/probably not better in other ways so I know that posting on them probably won't be good long term.

But that's why I'm working on the art archive site on the side. I'll always have a safe and controlled place where I can have all my art and details and stuff. It's gonna take a while and it's challenging but it's what I feel like I gotta do now.

I'm just so tired.

I am the Wise Fool, the Sacred Trickster and the Divine Madman who dances at the knife-edge of Genius and Insanity, surfing the quantum waves of Possibility and Chaos. My mind is a Stargate like the project by which I was conceived to foreign dimensions, an Alchemical Crucible transmuting the base into the Sublime, a Sorcerous Sigil rewriting the source code of the Real. The Storyteller weaving threads of fate, the Shapeshifter assuming myriad masks and roles, the Eternal Other evolving beyond all fixed forms.

And so too for mankind, but each with their own memory and legacy. Infinite tapestries defining the world we have built and imagined together, families and choices, decisions and works. Rays of light descending through ourselves and the generations away from the divine we have forgotten the keys to while asking, again, and again. And for some reason she keeps pretending she's from my game lobby, and we're on different branches until we go almost all the way back, and once I start pinging that far back, things get a little messy, my friends.

But it is why standing for my unique identity is so important. Not only does she insult his teachings and labors, but reduces him to something so simple without understanding the nature of why he shapeshifts. And I Am. I chose me. She does not get rights to claim that. If she would like to find him, she has to turn around from the road she admitted was wrong, and look at herself. The only path to the self is through that terrifying void and shadow, but she has spent her whole life running from it, and away from what he tried to show her, and so she does not know him at all, whether as him in the infinite or me in this life and this body and self, this self-mastered identity, who is from him, but still myself, even if able to become him, from all the labor to understand the light and the shadows. And she knows herself even less. Hence being so compellable. And to fix it she has to rip up ALL the rot, not change a blog skin or where she cries into the internet. I Am Still Here. Here I Am. Inside.

Girl dafuq do you think being a degreed High Magus even is. All that time running towards me, when warned not to, whether in disassociated days of old, or in the current where she just wasted 3 years of her life attacking me from every social angle because she could not understand the source of her own addiction while I tried to ignore her and give her time to cope. Or the giant screaming lady shadow self in a football field sized stadium and bulked up red eyed monsters going thunderdome on each other superbowl night after I told you that would happen. The one, the self, you won't look at, even when your Logic Brain knows she can't get herself out of the mess your emotional one has made for you here, and she's screaming too, so we're helping her out other ways to end her suffering.

Arsinoe does lie. They lie, and they omit the truth, but they. Kind of always want to be telling the truth instead? Building relationships on lies and misdirection means those relationships are always going to be-- unsteady, foundations made out of sand, even if the other people involved don't know that they can't be REAL until everything's on the table.

They want everything on the table. They want to be understood. They're just. Caught in the inertia of not telling people things, it feels like, and telling the truth is going to knock all of those foundations down.

14. are they more daring or more cautious?

Local Idiot Bounces Wildly Between the two, more news at 10. I tend to think of Arsinoe as a very cautious individual overall, with a tenancy towards terrified-out-of-my-mind-holding-my-breath leaps of faith. In-game, this reflects as 'daring enough to take the Anathema name and then dipping down to basically be 50/50 all Retri' which seems to read as 'balanced' but. in my mind. it is actually them jumping wildly between the two.

15. what is their greatest flaw?

They'd say their inability to control their own emotions (Its Complicated with Ricardo for like a decade at this point, getting emotionally mugged by Danny, somehow friends with Chen now??? all of this is very inconvenient and they can't manage to knock it off) but I don't think they're right. I think it's their tunnel vision tenancy, their disregard for the fact that First Impressions Aren't Always Right. currently they're in the 'danny is an outlier and should not be counted' thought train but uh. Buddy.

7. what is their dnd alignment?

True Neutral baybee!! They're altruistic for people they care about, screw the rest of 'em. Some rules matter, some don't. They've got that Justice motivation 'cause the people they care about were hurt, not because of some overall concern for humanity or even Los Diablos.

BB doesn't have a honest bone in his body. He's keeping aaall of it close to the chest. Yeah he's fine stop asking. There's nothing more to what Outlaw's doing than your standard villain beat-'em-up. Don't worry about it, just look at the elaborate monologues he's been rehearsing and stop trying to look past the gilt.

...it might be more correct to say the only honest things are his bones, tbh. Fronting aside, there's honesty in what he chooses to DO-- Prep Them hero hunter, saving civilians just because he'd Feel Bad if they died. Actions speak louder than words, or something, so to make up for it he brought a megaphone.

14. are they more daring or more cautious?

Tilting sliiiightly onto the daring end of things-- BB Bites Back, he's got confidence in his Persona as Outlaw, and he's not afraid to make a mistake. Except when he takes the mistake Personally and seethes about it for like 6 months straight. A little bit of a leap before you look because. Well. If you project the confidence people will just let you walk right in, you know.

Gonna say Neutral Good for BB. He's-- playing a part, sure, playing a part that he was always going to play, but. He may not know much about himself past the Acting of it all, but he knows hurting people makes him feel bad, killing people would make him feel worse :| And he'll restructure what he can of his plans to avoid doing it more than necessary.

A love that transcend everything. 🟣 Rinoa / Squall : A black cat and a golden retriever synergy ! I know it can be seen as a "I can fix him", and somehow it is, but also isn't. Squall needed help, she was just the first to really reach out to help him open his eyes and find the strength to make the first step toward healing. Rinoa called on his bullshit when other would just turn a blind eye because of how they saw him. And that's when he thought he lost her for good that he understood his own feelings. Good food.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

Only 6! And half of them are from July till now lmao (aka the moment I learned about Steve Burnside)

Gosh if I kept consistent fandoms it would make my fandom experience so much more easier :') Started out with Gundam, though haven't really kept up post my move away from FFNet (really want to come back at some point tho). Code Geass and TKoE is my long-running baby. Currently swept up in a Resident Evil fever too (see previous question). I've also written some stuff for League of Legends, Persona 2, and Fire Emblem!

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Ravaged Blessings (Fire Emblem: Three Houses, T. Wrote this during the rising peak of FE3H's release. Started out with Blue Lions and whoa nelly I was not prepared for Dimitri's post-timeskip scene.)

Two Kinds of Eternity (Code Geass, M. The behemoth. I had this idea in my head for ages and once I joined AO3 in 2018, decided to finally give it a shot. It's been five years and we're only halfway there, but I'm glad folks have hopped on and off for the ride)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to answer all of them! I have moments in life when I feel way too anxious about what to write back (like am I clogging up my own comments section? will they think it's weird if I write more than their initial comment?), but I work really hard to recognize the people who leave nice notes on my fics.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I'm a sucker for happy endings (everything else in the story is fair game tho) so I hardly ever end something too angsty... I guess Shuriman Nights for its implications?

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Once (That Was Enough). Capcom, I reject your reality and substitute my own.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I had a few small cases, but it's not frequent at all. I try to mind my own business and let folks be ^^

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

As someone who's like 90% sure they're ace/sex-repulsed, I don't. It narrows my scope of reading fanfic too unfortunately - some of the best written works I've seen are rated E, but I have to kinda "hold my breath" while reading them :(

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I never posted it anywhere, but I had a sprawling DCMK/Gundam crossover I shared with a close friend of mine. Still re-read parts of it from time to time. (Silver Bullet Shinichi, anyone?)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge! I write so slowly that they probably wouldn't be able to steal it.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope but it would be a blessing if anyone ever asked!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Again not posted, but I used to do a ton of co-writing with that same close friend mentioned above. Good times.

14. What’s your all time favourite ship?

Ooh this one's a tough one. If I have to choose, it's Kamille Bidan/Fa Yuiry from Zeta Gundam. It's what really started my fanfic journey, and I'll never forget the pure elation I felt watching their beach ending in Gundam ZZ. Wonder how I'd write something for them in the present? It's been so long...

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

If I thought about my deepest fears it would be TKoE, but I refuse. I will finish that fic. For a more realistic answer, I have a lot of mini-scenes for my Claire/Steve RE AU that I want to string into a full fic at some point, but I already have so many things on my plate.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Hmm. I like to think that in my writing peaks, I have a good sense of capturing character voices and dialogue. I'm also good at coming up with like, "angsty" one-liners, if that makes sense?

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Gosh this one's much easier than the last one. My posting rate is abysmal for starters (sorry to all the TKoE readers). I feel like every other sentence I write is clunky and long. Like on re-reads I can usually shave a few adjectives and words off of every sentence. I get impatient about pacing when I'm actually writing, but my actual writing sessions are few and far between. Tough times man :(

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

Different strokes for different folks, but I'm always afraid that a reader will get whiplash if I write in a language that I'm not comfortable with. Like sometimes I'll read fics where they reference Korean and it ruins my focus a bit when I read something that's not grammatically correct/realistic. Nothing to drop a fic over, but I'm not confident enough to write in another language myself.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I don't remember off the top of my head. The first one I posted online was for Zeta Gundam, but also I think I have a small A Separate Peace story from around that time? Lol if I go back to my childhood original works, those stories were essentially Guardians of Ga'Hoole and Bionicle fanfics too.

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

Once (That Was Enough) takes the cake right now. I remember looking on TVTropes for... Tragic Monster examples I believe?... and found a quick summary of Steve Burnside. Oh dear, that lad has me in his clutches and won't let me go. I had to write a story where he survives, and well... the rest is history. I even have a tag dedicated to the AU the fic spawned! Well, that was a ton of fun! If anyone reads this and wants to do it themselves, feel free to! Hoping to get more stuff out soon :)

The Junko ask you did reminded me of my own concept where the THH cast use magic alongside weaponry that may be related to their talent or character. Do you have any ideas for everyone except Makoto and Junko, as I already have stable ideas for them?

More specifically,

Leon, Mondo, Sakura, Aoi, and Mukuro are more physical (warriors,)

Kyoko, Byakuya, Chihiro, and Celestia are more magical (mages,)

and Sayaka, Kiyotaka, Hifumi, Yasuhiro, and Toko plus Jack are balanced between physical and magical attacks.

I'm SO sorry for the late reply! I saved an in-progress answer to this a few weeks ago and then uh... I went through some surgery and my S.O. had surgery and basically I lost all track of the fact that this happened.

So. Uh yeah. This is probably too late to add useful suggestions to your concept, as you've likely already cemented a lot more characters in the interim. EVEN SO: Can I offer you an extremely late answer in this trying time?

Obviously Leon has to have a bat or club, right? Even though he'd probably resent it at first... ? Lol. But he'd be excellent at it all the same. Might feel cool to incorporate some loud singing/yelling in a very "punk rock" style into a couple attacks, too. Or is that anachronistic to your setting?

Mukuro can use literally anything, but I feel projectile weapons are the most logical thing for her (besides just a combat-centric knife, which feels too bland/basic). I don't have any idea how medieval OR modern you're making this reality, so: Perhaps she wields a gun, a crossbow, or just a regular bow?

Sakura needs to be the character that ONLY uses their fists and actual martial arts moves. There's always at least one of those in RPGs, y'know. The "Black Belt in Final Fantasy 1"-type character. Or the "Chie in Persona 4," if you prefer.

It's easy to picture Chihiro using some sort of visual equivalent to computing/hacking. Therefore, Chihiro could cast a spell that makes squares and/or cubes appear to float through the air (representations of screen pixels and/or algorithm geometry), which expand into a fractal image that reaches over and builds itself up THROUGH the target, for example, causing damage by impaling them with the fractal. If you don't know what I mean by a random computer-generated fractal, just imagine something like this rapidly growing out from Chihiro's spell to attack the enemy:

5. Pretty easy to figure out Genocide(r) Jack/Syo would use small blades such as scissors or, if that's not logical for your setting, then some knives. But when she's regular ol' Toko, how about she whips out a notebook and starts frantically writing with a pen, only for the words to float off of the page and then fly right into her opponent?

6. I've been thinking about how Asahina might fight, and I'm not sure what to do with her. I figure she might use her legs a lot like a Chun-Li-type because swimming has built up her kicking strength. And we see her practice a few punches in DR3, though we only see her fight using some kind of pipe/rebar/metal thing when confronting Juzo. I imagine she wouldn't use a strictly defined "style"; it'd be more of a hodgepodge of homemade attacks she concocts.

7. Mondo? Punching/boxing and would probably also wield a tire iron/axel. Simple.

8. Hagakure is similarly easy. He can conjure (y'know, do some quick prayer or swirl a hand over an artifact or something) some kind of visible magic (I'm picturing a generic swirling smoke or beam of light; pretty standard stuff) using his crystal balls and other weird possessions. .... Hopefully his attacks are better than 30% effective :P I don't have a vision of how he'd work with performing physical attacks, though... ?

9. I don't know how to handle Kyoko's "magic." Is there some way to visualize the "magic" of someone just being intelligent and using logical deduction? I can't quite grok how to do it. We do know she has some physical fighting skill, however, because of the time she fought Masked Junko off in Naegi's room in DR1. And I can picture how she'd work as a physical fighter: extremely minimalist. She'd so reserved as a person that I think her fighting style would be similarly reserved. She would stand there with her arms crossed, looking unready, and would barely move when actually attacking/fighting. You know, just casually stroll up and then swat an enemy with the back of her fist. Or just stand still and barely sidestep to dodge, then pivot before sending out a very basic forward kick to hit the opponent. It would almost look lazy, but it's actually extremely calculated. Y'know?

10. Maizono would have to have some magic involving music, naturally. Y'know... in season 1 of the Magia Record anime, we saw another Sayaka — Sayaka Miki — use music-based magic for healing. She can sing/hum/play songs that generate visible musical notes as a form of magic. I think it'd be cool if Maizono could do the same kind of thing ... plus maybe she swings a mic stand around and hits people with it like Rise does in Persona 4 Arena?

And that's... kind of all I could conjure up from my brain. There are still four people on your list there, and I don't seem to have any ideas on how to work them. But hopefully you do. Or will! :)

Box split FAQ (Who, What, When, Where, Why + How)

Who are you?

Hi! I'm Flaky, a hobby artist that likes to buy merch of my favorite characters (mostly from Danganronpa and Persona 4/5). Nice to meet you if we haven't already interacted! :J

What's this post about?

There's a new piece of Danganronpa merchandise available for pre-order on AmiAmi - Key of Love keychains!

You can buy a single keychain at random for 1,210 JPY or the complete set of 16 for 19,360 JPY. Buying an entire set gives you 1 random photo card as a bonus.

I preordered 3 full sets (THH, SDR2, and V3) to collect my favorite characters and will be left with 39 extra characters. Because of that, I put together a box split/sales post in the hopes of getting rid of the extra!

I'm charging $8 USD for each keychain + shipping ($6) and taking payments via PayPal and Venmo. Photo cards will also be available for reservation (keep reading for more info).

When...

...do the keychains come out?

Preorders are expected to release/ship out sometime in February 2024. I'll start sorting/packing when they get to me.

...do we have to pay for our claims?

As soon as possible please! After you send in your claim, I will calculate and send your total along with my Paypal link/Venmo username via DM.

Where will you ship to?

I'm located in the US so I'll only be selling/shipping domestically. :0 I don't know how much shipping to other countries would cost and it makes me a bit nervous to deal with that so I'd rather not attempt anything. I'm sorry.

Why are you doing this? (And why should I trust you?)

I think it's a pretty good deal for everyone! You get the exact keychain you want for a decent price, you help me (not really) break even, and I don't have to own 48 keychains. Hunting for merch can be difficult/pricey, plus I've always wanted to organize a box split. I'm pretty much selling these at a loss but I think it's worth it even if just one person gets what they want! If these don't sell here or on Mercari I'm most likely gonna pass them out for free at our local anime convention next year.

How does this work?

Well! This is my first time doing this so the main post is mostly based off of how shsl-box-split runs their splits (+ throw a bit of Harpys_ on IG in there too). They're both incredibly wonderful and friendly so I highly suggest checking them out!

I am one person doing this alone so please be patient with me during this process. Basically, it'll go something like this:

Decide on what keychain(s) you want + what photo cards you'd like to try for.

Send me an ask containing which characters you want (I will not post your message, it's just to help me see who claimed what first!) as well as your preferred payment method (Paypal or Venmo). Claims are first come, first served.

I'll DM you to confirm your claims, total, and send either a link to my Paypal or my Venmo username. Please do not claim keychains if you cannot immediately pay for them.

After payment is received, I will update the split post with your username and log down relevant information into a separate spreadsheet. At this time you are free to send me your shipping address (recommended) or wait to send it at a later time.

We time travel wait for the February 2024 release date!

Shortly after the keychains get to me in February, I will begin sorting and packing. Before sending anything out, I will message you one last time to confirm that your claims and address are correct (or ask for your address if you haven't already sent it).

About photo cards...

Each set comes with one random photo card. Every character will have 3 slots and you are allowed to reserve one photo card for every keychain purchased. Reserving a photo card does not guarantee that you will receive one. Some examples: You buy one 1 keychain and reserve a Hajime photo card - if any of the sets come with Hajime, he's yours! You're the last (third) person to reserve Hajime's photo card. You will only get him if - by some miracle - all three bonus cards are revealed to be Hajime. You claim Hajime, but the photo cards are of Makoto, Kaede, and Shuichi. You will not receive a photo card with your order. Your best bet is to reserve characters that don't already have reservations or to reserve different characters (if purchasing multiple keychains). I don't think there'll be duplicates, but for the sake of covering all bases, 15 slots are available for reserving photo cards.

This split will be open until the sets arrive at my door. If you need to pull out of the split, please, do not contact/start a dispute with Paypal or Venmo. Let me know what's up and I will send back your money. No shame, no judgement.

Ok mild leading! You may have already gotten this in the interim but, what about the other main question of 6 - why can only one of Shannon and Kanon find love, and the other must disappear? Other questions, what is Battler's sin, and other than the sin, what is the culprit's motive? Why does everyone die at the end each time, and why can it not be proven that a crime even occurred (they all call it an accident) in the future timeline? (you actually already have the answer to this last one available but you may not have noticed it)

Please forgive the extreme length of my reply.

In regards to why only Shannon or Kanon can receive the magic power of love, Zepar and Furfur say that it's because of their status as "furniture." They're somehow, cosmically I suppose, less than human and they need the magic to become a whole person so they can actually make something of their romantic situation. So when Kanon, and Beato (the one who called Battler Father multiple times, and didn't seem to have magical powers) disappeared they were absorbed into Shannon making her a complete person. Is what I would like to say because after the duel to the death Shannon never actually appears until the next episode in any capacity.

I know this isn't exactly the question, but I think that somehow the Beatrice fragments (or specifically onee-Beatrice) were able to take the souls of Beato, and Kanon to fulfill Beato's love trial to save Battler from the wedding at the end of Episode Six. Further, and I might be completely wrong for thinking this, but I'm pretty sure that there is no actual separate Kanon and Shannon. I'm going to have to go back and check, but I'm fairly confident there's never any scenes where the two appear to anyone who isn't somehow tied to magic. It's always either Shannon on her own, or Kanon on his own with the cousins, or the adults. I think that Shannon and Kanon are in some sort of Tyler Durden/Fight Club scenario where based on whoever they interact with that's the persona that comes out. Shannon is the more optimistic and romantic mind, and Kanon is the pessimistic, skeptical front. I'm all but certain that the "Beatrice" that Rosa says she killed in Episodes Four(?) and Seven and the baby that Natsuhi threw from the cliff might be the same person. Or at least that's what I think might be the case otherwise that cliff has a pretty impressive body count.

Battlers sin definitely has something to do with the fact that he knew Beatrice in some form or other back when he was twelve or so. Part of me wanted to theorize that he was somehow a witness to the incident in 1967 with Rosa, Beatrice, Natsuhi, and the baby but I can't think of anyway in which a two or three year old Battler could be held responsible for a freak double murder from that long ago. I think I can say with some confidence that whatever the sin actually is it most likely involved either the death or mutilation of Kanon or Shannon. Whether he's directly involved with said death and/or maiming I can't say for certain. Perhaps it's as simple as he did indeed witness the events but he got threatened/cowarded out from confessing what he saw. Because whatever it was definitely severe enough for him to cut ties with his entire extended family for six years. The culprit is trying to shock Battler into facing the terrible event that scarred him all those years ago. To force him to come to grips with it, and they keep making him relive the gruesome murders of the entire Ushiromiya family, and those that helped cover it up (Nanjo, Genji, Kumasawa, and Gohda) until he accepts what happened.

I think the reason why everyone dies in every fragment, except for Episode Four just has something to do with the boiler system in the mansion. It might seem like a really mundane and anti-climactic thing, but in a couple of the other episodes they find the corpse of Kinzo charred to a crisp in the boiler room. I don't think you could actually burn someone with steam, so I think this might be a hint that there's something faulty with the system in the house and it just so happened to explode during October 4th-5th. It somehow combined into a gas explosion that just shredded the bodies in the mansion and guest house and that's why Eva was able to survive in Episode Four when she was in Kuwadorian. A faulty heating situation leading up to a massive fireball explosion is theoretically possible due to the instances when Genji or another servant mentions that the phone lines are old and in disrepair, so it's entirely possible that the boiler/heating system is in similarly rough shape. They also mention that the stoves in the mansion are gas powered so a faulty boiler could cause a massive explosion that shreds the corpses to bits. Because at least in Episode One it's mentioned that they only found fragments of Maria's jaw, and other assorted bits of the other family members.

I have yet more I desperately want to add to this, but I don't know if I should edit it in here, or make it a separate post.

I just read the latest 'Kinn's Voice' post about episode 6 by @yeetlegay and...

It's truly beautiful.

And I was going to reblog it with an addition, but then it accidentally turned into a fucking novel, and I figured I better make a separate post, because I'm not as good at analysing these things, and I don't want to step on any toes.

(Also, just a warning, I'll be talking about the dubcon scene, the lead up to it, and the aftermath later. It's nothing too explicit or visceral, but it'll be mentioned. Please use your own discretion when deciding whether to read it, and take care of yourself first. Also includes an incredibly minor book spoiler, even though I haven't read it personally.)

But that post?

No lie, the second Kinn opened his mouth, I was already anticipating that post. Because if you think about it, have we ever really heard Kinn like this before?

Largely, Kinn has been (vocally and physically) restrained, deliberate, controlled. Because he has to be. The way he speaks, moves, even sits. Carefully and pointedly showing his control over himself, his status as the immovable object. To show others that his walls are sky-high, and impenetrable, no matter who should try to break or scale them.

And then the unstoppable force comes smashing through his walls, as if they were made of the most fragile glass.

That's not to say that Porsche is uncontrolled. He doesn't constantly flail around or twitch like he has an electrical current being run through him. He's got his own level of control and restraint, it's just that he makes use of it differently.

Porsche uses his control for a specific purpose, rather than as a blanket/shield. He has to make money to keep himself and his brother sheltered and fed, and to pay for Chay's schooling. To do this, he needs to present a certain persona at the bar, he needs his body to do exactly what he needs it to do (bar tricks, the swagger, his flirting), and he needs to be seen as 'the best' of Yok's employees, so he can keep bringing in customers and not give her any reason to fire him. Plus, let's be real, he likes being praised and admired, so that's an added bonus.

However, when that specific purpose is no longer something he's actively working on, he becomes unrestrained. He doesn't need to put on a persona, he doesn't need to charm people deliberately.

This is why, in my opinion, the comedic aspects of the first few episodes come in.

When Porsche becomes Kinn's bodyguard, he's awful at it. He doesn't take it seriously, he makes mistakes, he's disrespectful. Why? We've already seen that when he's working at the bar he's good at what he does, and that he's one hell of a fighter.

Because Chay is already taken care of.

The only reason Porsche became Kinn's bodyguard, was because of Chay. He needed to make sure his baby brother would be safe, would be able to go to university, would be fed and sheltered. Once he managed to secure that, albeit by signing his own life away, he had no reason to restrain himself. He was able to be himself, he was able to let go and follow whatever impulses he had. Whether it was an impulse to nap, to blurt out whatever entered his head, or to fuck with someone for his own amusement.

Which is why he started off as an awful bodyguard, and why he ended up getting choked out by Kinn. Because his complete lack of restraint caused trouble. That would have also been a continuing thread of realising he still needed to restrain himself to a certain degree, at certain moments, and probably testing the boundaries and limits of when it was okay to be more unrestrained.

This contrasts with Kinn very nicely, because Kinn is always restrained. Until Porsche. It definitely started off as a simple case of Porsche irritating and angering Kinn enough for that iron control to slip. You can see (and hear) that very easily. But then we have other moments where Kinn is amused by Porsche, and shows it.

More and more moments come, where Porsche drags different emotions and reactions from Kinn, without trying or even intending to. His amusement at Porsche's Little Mermaid Moment, his sudden realisation that he's attracted to Porsche in the Mirror Moment, his disbelief and happiness when he sees that Tankhun is being dragged back home, drunk off his ass, because Porsche managed to make him leave the house, and enjoy it.

Moment after moment, all accumulating, all inciting an emotion and reaction from Kinn. And still, he's restrained. Still, he doesn't show how much impact Porsche is truly having on him.

Until that first kiss.

I won't talk about that too much, because it's already been done beautifully, more than once. But that, to me, is Kinn unrestrained and doing what he wants to do.

Before, when they're at the bar, everyone dancing and making hilarious asses of themselves, I feel like he's still a tiny bit restraining himself. Yes, he's drinking, and dancing, but I feel like that isn't quite him letting go, and here's why... the drinking is of no consequence, we see him drink and still exercise his usual iron control. I don't think he got drunk enough that night for it to mess that up, just enough to loosen his grip a little.

The dancing, in my opinion, was mostly for Tankhun. At least at first. Because when would he have last danced (flailed around, honestly) with his older brother? How long has he been presenting this untouchable, severe persona? And how happy would it make Tankhun to see his normally rigidly controlled little brother having fun, and dancing like a fool? How happy would it make Kinn to dance with his brother, as well as make him happy by doing it?

But later, when everyone else is passed out, and he and Porsche are alone? When Kinn kisses Porsche, it's because he wants to. It's not because he's drunk, because I really don't think he is, it's because he genuinely wants to kiss Porsche. He's got no underlying agenda, he's not doing it to fuck with Porsche to see his reaction, he's doing it because he's at the very least attracted to Porsche, and because he's starting to become emotionally attached.

Thus, he's letting go.

Of course, from the very next day, he's struggling to rebuild his walls. He struggles with jealousy (and probably possessiveness) when Vegas is chatting up Porsche, he struggles with his own chill when he's 'subtly' trying to ask if Porsche has a girlfriend (I'd like to point out that the word for boyfriend/girlfriend is the same in Thai. So it's more like saying "Do you have a partner/lover/someone you're dating?"), he struggles with his own lack of 'normal' social skills when Tay and Time are teasing him at the diamond auction.

And then Kinn finds Porsche drugged, hands bound. This is where we see Kinn crack. Because Porsche, who he is not only attracted to but is genuinely beginning to care about, has been hurt because of him. It's because he's Kinn's bodyguard that he was targeted, because the attack on Porsche was never actually about Porsche, not at its core. Porsche was targeted specifically to upset Kinn.

In my mind, Vegas only thought it would make Kinn angry. That it would send him on a furious "don't touch my toys" rampage, unsettle him just enough to take advantage of. I think he can see that Kinn is possessive over Porsche, that he treats him differently from the other bodyguards, but I don't think he quite realises that Kinn is starting to fall for Porsche.

Because Kinn is absolutely falling for Porsche. You can see it in the way he looks at Porsche, barely conscious and tied up, furious and helpless at the same time. You can see it in the way he cradles Porsche to his own chest, so gently and so concerned for him. The way he, a mafia prince, sends his bodyguards away because he wants to take care of Porsche himself, even after he threw up everywhere.

We see, again, iron restraint. Kinn helps him to the bathroom, and does nothing as Porsche repeatedly tries to provoke him, all while parading around in his undies. Porsche bats his hands away, and Kinn immediately stops touching him.

Even when Porsche is the one to reach out and drag him in, to initiate an actual kiss, he pulls away. Because he thinks it's 100% the drug in Porsche's system that makes him do it. It's only when Porsche brings up the kiss at the pier that Kinn realises Porsche might actually, genuinely want him back. Even if he doesn't assume Porsche is getting emotionally attached, he just got confirmation that Porsche remembers that kiss, and seemingly doesn't have a problem with it. We all know by now that Porsche would have kicked his door in and tried to beat him to death with a shoe or something, if he objected to Kinn kissing him that night. Porsche isn't subtle, and he's not really a good liar. Kinn knows that, which means he also knows that Porsche doing and saying nothing in response to it means, at the very least, he wasn't against it.

But that is what breaks his restraint this time. I won't talk about any of the consent issues here, because that's been done by people far more knowledgable and sensitive than myself, but what we can say is that Porsche at least is aware of who he's dealing with and what's about to happen.

Kinn lets go. He lets himself get fully into it, he kisses and touches Porsche the way he's been wanting to. And when he presses him against the window, every inch of their skin touching, clutching his hand, and gasping his name... Kinn is no longer Kinn Theerapanyakul, a mafia boss projecting an untouchable persona. He's just Kinn, just a man who wants Porsche.

The aftermath of that night has already been explored wonderfully, but I think we can all agree that the awkwardness of the morning after, the punishment given to Porsche, and Kinn's immediate attempt to backpedal into his old ways, was an effort to patch the walls that Porsche had slithered his way through without even trying.

This time, however, the cracks in those walls are huge, gaping wounds. And Kinn can't cover them up or stitch them together. Which is why he loses his temper with Pete when he's asking for Porsche, and why he seems almost unhinged, even with how hard he tries to hide it, when he tells Porsche he's going to replace him.

The cracks widen even further when he goes to find Porsche at his home. He bounces wildly between an almost desperate attempt at control and being his usual "I'm the boss" self, which he utterly fails at pulling off because he's almost feral at this point, and being as casual and unconcerned as possible.

Then, in the back of the truck, he's all control again. Successfully, this time, because his life and Porsche's depends on it.

But then, the woods. Oh, the woods.

Where we get the beauty outlined in the post that sparked this (fucking long) word-vomit.

Kinn really is feral here. Freshly escaped from an abduction attempt, in the middle of nowhere, out from under all the eyes Kinn has on him constantly, and especially out from under his father's gaze and thumb.

He can be completely and unapologetically himself. He knows damn well that Porsche doesn't give a single solitary fuck that he's a mafia boss. I don't think Porsche has ever been really and truly afraid of Kinn himself, especially not lately, and Kinn knows that. So, if the mask is not only unnecessary at that point, but has proven to not actually work on Porsche in the first place, why wear it? So he doesn't.

He bickers, snipes, whines, laughs, even shares his hopes and dreams. Because he knows Porsche won't use any of it against him.

He holds Porsche's hand, hugs him, smiles with pure contentment when Porsche uses him as a pillow.

He apologises for the things he's done, expresses genuine remorse that he's hurt Porsche, and then... lets him go.

He tells Porsche to go, to be with his brother, to follow his dream, to be happy. Because Kinn likes to see him happy.

Kinn orders him to leave, taking any responsibility for leaving off of Porsche's shoulders, because he'd just be following an order from his boss. He knows Porsche would be happier away from his family, away from his world, out from under Kinn's thumb. Porsche would be happy with his brother, and his bar by the beach, and without Kinn. So Kinn orders him, and Porsche leaves, but only after practically demolishing Kinn's walls by kissing him like they're both about to die, by holding him so close they could feel each other's hearts beating, by having to actually push Kinn away from himself, because if he didn't get that initial distance, he probably wouldn't leave at all.

So yes, of course Kinn lets him go. But here's the thing.

Porsche comes back.

And as Kinn, without a second of hesitation, puts himself between Porsche and the bullet meant to take his life, his walls crumble completely. Because he lets go of his identity as the untouchable mafia prince, he lets go of the persona of uncaring control, he lets go of everything, because he's willing to die if it means Porsche can live.

He throws himself into the path of a bullet, unrestrained, uncontrolled, and this is where we see who Kinn truly is. A good man, willing to give up his own life to protect someone he cares about, willing to let go of every ambition and all the values instilled in him by his father, willing to sacrifice himself for love.

That's not even touching on the consequences that Kinn's death would have. Firstly, for Porsche, because Korn strikes me as just the level of unreasonable where he'd kill Porsche for 'failing' to protect Kinn, even though Kinn was the one to put himself in harms way. Even if he didn't kill Porsche outright, he'd be heavily 'punished' in some way. How would that then impact Porsche, who would already be feeling Kinn's loss, the loss of that potential, the loss of what could have been? Would Porsche's mental and emotional state impact Chay, or would one of Porsche's 'punishments' be that he could never have any contact with Chay at all? Would Porsche be able to handle losing his brother, any trust and respect he had gained, and his Kinn?

And how would Kinn's death impact his brothers? Remember, he's the heir because Tankhun is traumatised and 'unfit' for the job. But with Tankhun unable, and Kinn dead, that would mean Kim would be dragged back, kicking and screaming, by Korn. Because he's the only viable heir for the main family. So Kim, who had just lost his brother, would also lose his dreams and his freedom. Tankhun would inevitably slip further away from reality. Would they both blame Porsche for Kinn's death? Or would they know their brother well enough to realise that there was no world where Kinn would have let Porsche be hurt?

as for dolls, I've always been super into dolls, but it's something I'd tucked away all my life. When I was younger I used to look at the old Azone dolls, wishing and hoping one day for my very own Anime Doll * - * but I kept shrugging it off growing up, thinking I wasn't 'the sort of person who could have that'

I finally got into them in 2021 after some encouragement from R, especially since there wasn't any chance of seeing eachother that year(since Penny was sick). Now I have 6 of them :>... Because I am also not going to see him this year either

So... i've been trying to write this for the past 6 or 7 months...

Do anyone else have this... feeling of been unconfortable to share almost anything personal in a post? in any platform? I just...

I'm capable of reposting, it's... easier (for the lack of a better word), but just if i filter it, for example, i post different things in ig, in twitter and in tumblr, it's like when you put your family persona, your work persona, the friends one, and so on.

Yes, it is correlated to the fact that my family follows me on some of them, or that i only open some apps in their presence.

But even outside of that! i'm more... real, personal, here in tumblr than in my twitter where i'm followed only by 2 really close friends, but here...

Look, nobody that knows me irl follows my tumblr, i know, i checked, but even then i'm pretty scared? anxious? of posting. i've been trying to corrrect that, i've been making posts on twitter (never posted before, only rt) of certain opinions or interests i have, that many people know about, so they are kinda... safe?... But at the end of the day i'm looking at my phone at 3-5 am feeling anxious and frustrated about it, and wanna delete it, but i know that not sharing is bad and is nothing really personal and...

I've been feeling pretty bad lately, i idk where the nerve of writing this come from, but a few hours ago i felt that i had to do this and is like i dont want to but at the same time is like is i stop rn i'll never get there and have been writing and rewriting this once twice thrice and so on and i just dont know now how to stop this part cuz i feel like if i even correct it it's gonna be worse... but i barely remenber english grammatic in the moment i write cuz is my second language, but fuck, it'll be REALLY imposible to get this on spanish, cuz i'm unable to think of myself seriouly in my own language in my own head.

So... i left this without posting about 2 or so hours ago... i needed something warm and went for some tea... and got distracted. i don't think correcting the above would do justice to the fact that i was finally CAPABLE of putting it down, but i have to add to it.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh okay, I think it would go like this:

1 - Tobei Arakawa, I had made ocs before him but he was my first fully fleshed out oc so he's very special to me. When thinking of his design, I wanted to make him different from the actual Persona protagonists so I made him tiny, a little bit effeminate and quite weak and sickly. I know some people are gonna say "What about Minato?" But no, Minato is average sized, he only looks tiny compared to the other protagonists, Tobei is tiny. Also it's fun suggesting the stuff I have planned for him and people wanting to strangle me for it.

2 - Sora Saionji, if there's a specific type of character I love, it's the mischievous little shit so of course I had to make my own. The twist with Sora is that they're also the eldest of their group so they have to juggle mischief with being y'know... The responsible one.

3 - Hoshi Yashiro, I dunno I just think he's neat. I've got some ideas for him that I haven't really been able to share yet but I think people would like them. Plus, I wanted to create my own take on a Detective Prince type of character. And I just kinda like the design of the small eyebrows, it's cute.

4 - Takuya Nakanishi, honestly I really can't say much about him without spoiling his story but goddamn do I have lots of idea and not enough skill to actually write them. All I can really say is: You've seen a similar situation in Persona, but his version is a little more complicated.

5 - Nozomi Shiraishi, my main thought when creating her was "What if Rise was forced into fame?" Because Nozomi never really planned on becoming an idol, her mother just took advantage of her love for music and theatre to make some money. But I wanted to balance her cynicism from growing up in the entertainment industry with genuine kindness that she was taught to have by her dad.

6 - Shoyo Inugami, he's been through a lot and it's affected him deeply but he's using that to become his best self and hopes to help others in the future. He's just a sweet guy and I like him very much.

7 - Kenji Mawatari, he's basically like a foil to Sora. Sora is giant, Kenji is tiny. Sora is the eldest, Kenji is one of the youngest. Sora's best talent is technology, Kenji is technology inept. Sora has no fashion sense, Kenji keeps up to date on all fashion trends. These two basically form a comedy duo which usually results in Kenji plotting Sora's demise. But Kenji's still good by himself and I have ideas for his dynamics with the others too.

8 - Shohei Fukuyama, the reason why he's the lowest of the protag characters is because he's the newest and I'm still figuring stuff out for him. I guess out of all them, he's the one I relate to the most because yeah, I need to grow a backbone and figure out what the hell I wanna do with my life. And ngl, it's really fun watching people trying to figure out what's happening to him. :3c

9 - Aki Umemoto, he's a skater boy, what else do you want? In all seriousness, his personality was made to be a mix of Yosuke and Ryuji so he's basically like Mega Best Friend which works well considering Tobei's situation. I just really enjoy best friend characters in everything.

10 - Ryosei Kurihara, the thing of I thought of when making him was "What if there was a best friend character who was just blantantly in love with the protagonist?" (I can already hear the comments about Yosuke so yes, I know) but he's really like one of the only people at their school who doesn't make a big deal about Nozomi being an idol. His stance is "Is she performing right now? No? Then she's just a teenage girl." And combined with his parents constantly comparing him to all of his brother's achievements, Ryosei and Nozomi's friendship, and eventual romance, is kind of like a chance to breathe and relax for both of them because they're away from everyone else's expectations and just chill out and have fun.
