sober - m. barzal (pt. six)
Tumblr media
a/n: so after the hell week we all survived in the good ol’ USA my brain finally decided to let me actually write. tbh i wrote this about four times before i forced myself to just finish it and stop tweaking it.
Five
Mat’s kitchen looked like a tornado had run through it. The usually pristine, absolutely untouched kitchen of the young bachelor was getting more use in the twenty minutes Mat had been awake than it ever had. Truthfully, Mat wasn’t a morning person. Mat slept like a rock, and he thought there was nothing besides the fear of his coach that could get him up earlier than noon, but he was wrong. You had him up before eight, hoping if he could beat you to waking up you wouldn’t have a chance to sneak out on him. He did, opening his eyes to catch you snoring softly beside him. He laid there for a moment, his eyes on you because he almost in disbelief you actually stayed. It was a moment of peace, the complete opposite of the mess you’d both gotten yourselves into. For the first time in his life, he wasn’t debating how he was going to get someone to leave, he was figuring out how he was going to get you to stay.
Mat was an absolute whore, and he didn’t care one bit. Why should he? He was young, he was at the top of his game, and his ego got a little bigger everyday. He was just as guilty as you were when it came to his lack of commitment. Mat had never been able to be a good boyfriend, no matter how hard he tried - so he just stopped trying. His schedule wasn’t made for dating, and he never wanted to put the work in. You were different. Something clicked in Mat when he realized how enraged his body felt hearing DeAngelo talk about you the way he did. He was going to let it go, and in hindsight maybe he should have, but he didn’t want to. That protective feeling took over his body because it was too strong for him to shove back down before it got out.
Mat would have told you he loved you after that game, because he does, but he knew he was playing a dangerous game. The reality of what would happen if this was real scared him, but not nearly as much as he knew it had to scare you. You had something to lose, a life that Mat just wouldn’t be apart of. Mat wasn’t in a position to ask you to give that up, especially for someone who you weren’t even dating. Mat knew if he moved too quickly you’d get spooked and run away without giving Mat a second thought. He’d disappear from your memory like everyone before him.
Mat’s thoughts were broken by the sound of your feet padding into his kitchen, your arms wrapping around his waist while you pressed a kiss to his back, “Hi pretty girl.”
This was uncharted territory, the morning after. You’d always been an expert, leaving yourself enough time to sneak out and leave before anyone would notice you were gone. That kept your heart safe, free from the feelings that were present in this very moment. You couldn’t have left last night, slipping out of Mat’s bed and into a cab in the middle of the night, but something stopped you, “Do you actually know what you’re doing?”
“I thought I’d try to make you breakfast,” Mat admits, a smile on his face while he turned off the stove, eggs forgotten to look at you, “I’ll get better at it, I promise, breakfast can be my thing.”
“Your thing?” You muse, letting Mat gently push you onto the island, standing between your legs.
“Yeah, when we fall in love or whatever, I’ll make breakfast,” Mat chuckles, pressing a quick kiss to your lips.
“You’ve lost your damn mind Barz,” You sigh, leaning your head on Mat’s shoulder while you savored the last few moments of peace you were feeling. You were going to have leave his place, off to a four game road trip where Mat was free to fuck whoever he wanted.
Mat’s finger was gently gliding over your face, “If I’m crazy it’s because you made me crazy.”
“You were insane before I met you,” You defend not daring to open your eyes and meet Mat’s gaze, “And now you’re just annoying.”
“I don’t remember being annoying when you were begging me to fuck you last night,” Mat counters back, hands moving to your bare thighs, the warmth from his hands was a stark contrast from the cool counter, “If I’m correct it sounded something like Mat please.”
“Don’t push your luck Mat,” You threaten, his impersonation of you from the night before stopping almost immediately.
“Would I push it if I asked you to stay until my flight later?” Mat asks, eyes full of hope while he tries to hang onto the moment just a little bit longer.
“If you never talk about it again,” You nod, deciding that the damage was already done. You were so far gone a few more hours couldn’t hurt you anymore.
“We can talk about how fucking good you look in orange and blue though,” Mat teases, a grin on his face. You furrow your eyebrows, looking down and realizing just what shirt he had given you the night before. A bright white number thirteen in the corner, with an Islanders logo present on the front.
“Mat if you don’t take this off of me right this second.”
“You never have to ask me twice to take off your shirt babe.”
***
You leaned your head against the window of the private jet that definitely cost more for one flight than your entire salary, taking a deep breath and a break from the laundry list of emails you were due to answer. You were flying to St. Louis for the All Star Game, your plans of a week long vacation somewhere warm with some of the team and their significant others thrown out the door the second Chris stepped in for Panarin last minute. Not even two minutes later, Charlotte strutted over to your desk to tell you that without a need for someone to translate for Artemi, you were the new kid and that meant you had to suffer through the weekend while everyone else took their vacations.
“At least pretend to be excited,” Chris mutters next to you, taking a break from his own reading and elbowing you in the side.
“It’s hard to be excited when everyone’s on a beach and we’re flying to Missouri in January,” You snark back, pulling your glasses off your face and rubbing your eyes.
“You either need to start sleeping or stop hanging out with that secret boyfriend of yours,” Chris jokes, but it struck a nerve with you.
Mat wasn’t your boyfriend. Mat. Wasn’t. Your. Boyfriend. He didn’t get to have all of you, because he didn’t deserve it - no man does. Nothing about the very small amount of vulnerability that he got to see after that game meant anything. You left that morning and he went on a four game road trip and the world spun on. You could stop whenever you wanted to, move on with some other dumb boy who didn’t care more about you in clothes than without. But did you want to? That was a debate you’d been having with yourself for days.
“He’s not my boyfriend,” You grumble, gritting through your teeth. Technically, it wasn’t a total lie.
“So you are seeing someone!” Chris points out, as if your deliberate words were going to make it past him. Chris held most of the intelligence on the entire Rangers roster, and there was nothing that he didn’t pick up, “So, What's the deal? He doesn’t want anyone to know about you or you don’t want anyone to know about him.”
“It’s mutual,” You hum, sipping the coffee that had gone cold.
“Are you a sugar baby?” Chris questions, a cautious tone to his voice, “Not that I think there’s anything wrong with it or anything-”
“No I haven’t found a sugar daddy,” You roll your eyes, waiving Chris and sparing him the lecture that there’s nothing wrong with the idea at all, “We’re just in a limbo.”
“For what it’s worth,” Chris says, taking a deep breath before he finished his thought, “You seem happy, you haven’t snapped on Tony in almost a week.”
“Thanks Chris,” You laugh softly, popping a headphone back into your ear so you could finish up some work.
***
Mat was in absolute disbelief the moment he saw you step into the hotel lobby. You weren’t supposed to be in St. Louis, you were supposed to be on some island in a bikini making him wish he wasn’t good enough to be selected for the All Star game at all. Mat scratched his head for an answer as to why you didn’t mention the change of plans, but then the thing that he spent his entire roadie before he left for St. Louis entered his brain at full speed.
You’re not her boyfriend.
Mat owed you nothing, and you didn’t have to tell him anything you didn’t want to. Mat honestly knew about four things about you and all of them related to your job. He was dying to know everything, even the stuff that didn’t matter that much. Hell, Mat would’ve killed to see the inside of your apartment at this point. He just needed one thing, one thing that he could hold onto that you showed him that no one else got to see. He was sure he’d find it, especially after he finally got you to stay at his place, but now he was starting to think maybe he’d never crack you.
You were going to just avoid Mat like the plague. The hotel was swamped with players, their families, and any staff that had tagged along for the weekend. The city was still buzzing from last season’s Stanley Cup win and there was not a chance Mat wasn’t going to be busy all weekend, because Mat Barzal was an amazing hockey player. You hated to be reminded of it, because if you could have Mat feed you stupid compliments and never remind you of his job you’d be happy forever.
hotel sex is on the table
and you look fucking hot today
You roll your eyes, checking your phone while you were standing in line to check in. You look around the room, trying not to draw any attention to Mat who was giving you a shit eating grin from across the lobby. He looked good, a white button up tucked into suit pants that were doing his ass justice. You look at Chris, who was too engrossed in his own phone to even look back at you.
pretend like i don’t exist right now and we’ll talk
wanna play a game?
that didn’t go well for you last time Barzy
if i beat your buddy kreids tomorrow night you give me one night
you won’t
is that a yes?
fine
You turn around, giving Mat one last death stare to remind him you weren’t kidding on your plea to pretend you didn’t exist. Your job was important to you because you weren’t Mat. You weren’t going to get paid millions of dollars to play and then retire with a pretty penny in your pocket. You worked, and the stress of losing your job would definitely break you. Charlotte instilled fear in you like no other boss you ever had could, and if you got caught messing around with someone who played for another team while you were working she’d probably just fire you on the spot. Not to mention the heartbroken faces of your chosen family. Mat somehow existed in both a different and the same world as you. He understood your work life because it was so close to his, but he had his own work family and you had yours. No matter what, there would always be some sort of weird divide caused by that stupid rivalry. For now, it was just going to have to be something you’d worry about later.
***
You turned in the mirror of your hotel room, the lacy black lingerie set fit your body like a glove, and you were impressed with Mat’s taste given all he ever wore was sweatpants. You look in the corner of the room, the last piece of his little gift sitting in the box. Mat dropped it off earlier, a note on top telling you that when he inevitably smokes Chris in the faster skater competition he had something in mind. You weren’t surprised by his confidence, but you were surprised by the gift itself. Folded neatly in the box wasn’t just the lingerie, a bright blue and orange jersey was right underneath it, a shiny white number thirteen stitched into the back. You knew you didn’t have to wear it, because Mat wasn’t going to force you to do anything, but you were wet at just the thought of how animalistic Mat would probably get. You tossed on the jersey, throwing an even bigger sweatshirt and sweats over it before you snuck up to Mat’s floor- hoping Chris wouldn’t catch you leaving from the room across the hall.
You pull out the room key Mat gave you, sneaking into the door and locking it shut behind you. You slipped off your sweats, leaving you in nothing but the jersey and your panties.
“Fuck,” Mat dropped his phone from his hand the second you came into his view, “I didn’t think you’d wear it.”
“I wasn’t going to,” You muse, your confidence boosting while you strutted over to Mat. He had that effect on you, the ability to always make you feel like the sexiest woman in the world - even if you didn’t feel like were, “But then you beat McDavid.”
Mat pulled you between his legs while he sat on the edge of the bed, his hands toying with the jersey while he let the fabric slip through his fingers, “You look so fucking good in my jersey baby.”
“I’m proud of you Mat,” You purr into his ear, playing into Mat’s ego just a little bit. You were proud of him, and for the first time you wanted him to know. You pressed a kiss against his jaw, feeling his own breath hitch in his throat, “Can I show you?”
“Keep that jersey on and you can do whatever you want to me,” Mat admits, slipping his hand under the jersey and tapping your ass lightly.
“I’ll keep it on,” You giggle, pushing Mat on his back and getting to work. Your lips kissed down his chest with every button of his dress shirt you got undone, tossing it in the corner to be forgotten about until later. You unhooked his belt, leaving open mouth kisses just above his pants. You slid off his dress pants slowly, taking his boxers with them to let his cock spring free. Mat groaned at the sight, gathering your hair to pull it back for you.
“Wait,” Mat stops you, holding your hair back to stop you from putting your mouth on him. His finger traced your cheek, a look on his face you couldn’t quite read, “I just want to remember this, you look so beautiful right now.”
You could feel the heat rush your cheeks, Mat had called you to dozens of things but never once did the word beautiful ever slip through his lips, “You’re just saying that because I’m about to blow you.”
“No, baby, I mean it- fuck,” Mat groans, this thoughts halted by your mouth on his cock. His hips snapped up, hitting the back of your throat, “You’re so fucking good princess.”
You moan, hollowing your cheeks and gripping Mat’s thighs a little tighter, giving him the show you so desperately wanted. You head bobbed in a perfect rhythm, taking as much of Mat as your body could handle. Mat pushes your head back, taking a look at the line of spit that was still connected to his dick, your eyes were glassy and your throat was sore but Mat would keep you like that forever if he could, “Let me finish.”
“I’m in charge tonight,” Mat reminds you, the tone in his voice sent a chill up your spine. You knew Mat was rough, and a little demanding but he never crossed that line with you, “On your knees.”
“Like this?” You tease, sitting up on your knees to rile him up just a little bit more.
“More like this princess,” Mat stands behind you, gently pushing you down so your ass was in the air. He was quiet, bunching up his jersey so he could get a full view of the lingerie he went out and bought just for you, “Be good or I won’t let you cum pretty girl.”
Mat’s threat with a light smack to your ass, a moan escaping your lips. He slipped the black lace panties to the side, gliding one of his fingers against your folds while he pressed a kiss to your skin, “So wet for me already.”
“Only for you Mat,” The words tumbled out of your mouth, your eyes widening at your own confession.
Mat was thankful he was behind you, because if you saw the way his gaze changed from your words he’d never live it down. You looked so perfect, spread just for him. His jersey. His number. And in his own fantasy: his girl. He snapped himself back into reality, sliding into your pussy that was practically dripping in anticipation.
“Faster, fuck Mat please,” You whimpered out, trying to move yourself to get Mat to pick up the pace. He chuckled darkly, hips snapping back and forth until the only sound in the room was the string of curses leaving your mouth, “I’m close-”
Mat flipped you over before you could finish, his hand grabbing your chin and forcing you to look at him, “Tell me this pussy is mine.”
“Fuck I’m yours Mat,” You breath out, locking your eyes with his while it felt like time froze around you, “I’m yours.”
“Look at me when you cum baby,” Mat urges, his hand still gripping your chin. He picked up his place, making use of his other hand around your clit, “C’mon princess just for me.”
Your pussy fluttered around him, Mat letting out a groan while he tried to hold onto this moment for just a bit longer. He looked down at you, catching your breath from your own high. You hand snuck down to his cock, pumping it slowly, “Cum on me.”
Mat nods, letting you work on his dick with your hands while he nibbled at your neck. He was going to mark you up, make you remember who you belonged to because he so desperately wanted it to be him. He spilled onto your pussy, head pressed into your neck while he came down from his own high. You both laid there for a moment, your hand gently stroking Mat’s back while you both took a moment to think about what just happened. Mat was possessive in a way he’d never been before, and you ate it up without a second thought - that had to mean something right?
“I need to get back to my room,” you whisper, afraid to break the comfortable silence.
“I know,” Mat nods, finally picking his head up, “Keep the jersey, you might need it one day.”
“Your stupidity is honestly astounding,” You joke, brushing his hair out of his face while Mat’s face turned into a pout.
“Can I take you on a date?” Mat breathes out, hoping he wasn’t reading this the wrong way, “No games, no funny business, let me take you out.”
Say no. Say no and never call him again.
“One date,” You agree against your better judgement, pushing Mat away and looking around the room to find your sweats that you snuck into his room in, “Better make it a good one.”
Mat smiles, teeth on full display while he watched you slide your pants back on, “I’m the best at everything Y/N don’t forget that.”
“Goodnight Barz,” You tease, giving him one more look before you left his room.
The elevator ride down was quiet, most of the hotel’s occupants already asleep or still out partying the weekend away. For your sake, you hoped Chris would be fast asleep like the grandpa he was. You rushed down the hallway, Mat’s jersey still hanging loosely off your frame while you looked in your hand for your room key. Your search was stopped by a throat clearing behind you. You jump, turning around to see Chris’s eyes boring into you.
“You’ve got some explaining to do.”

Episode 19. Okay, guys, this was an excellent season. Thanks for watching along with me.
Aisha’s been up all night cramming for the math exam. The wake-up alarm rings, and she turns it off with a smile, and then stretches in her chair.
As Aisha is getting ready to go to the exam, she runs into her mother. Her mom asks if she’s going to school, and when she says yes, her mom sounds more affectionate than she’s been the past few days. Aisha realizes this is a good moment to apologize. She says she’s sorry for making her mom worry, says she didn’t mean to. Her mom accepts the apology and gives Aisha her phone back for being a good daughter!
As Aisha rides the train to Oslo, we see Emrah going back to his place. Then we get shots of Aisha doing the exam, while Emrah examines his passport. Emrah also packs a bag. When he opens one of his drawers, he finds a Kinder egg capsule. He’s surprised to find one of those toys you have to build inside. Aisha must’ve left it there when she stayed the night. Emrah empties the capsule (without building the toy!!) and leaves his apartment.
Aisha texts Jamilah and Freba after the exam. She thinks she did really well! She goes back home, it seems that Yusuf is there alone. She asks where their parents are, and Yusuf says they’re away (I think at a friend’s). He still sounds a little upset. Aisha lays it on him. She’s not studying law right now. Her grades weren’t good enough to get into law. (As a Spaniard, this isn’t at all relatable to me, because Law is one of the degrees with the lowest entry grade lol.) But  she’s taken the exam again, and she did really well! Yusuf doesn’t have much of a reaction... He’s just like, “But you’ve been at school so much?” Aisha says she’s been going to Sonans, which appears to be some kind of private school that helps prepare students for uni admission tests. And because this is a private business, and not free like uni, she’s been working as much as she can so that she could pay the fees. She didn’t want to ask their parents for money for this, since it wasn’t their fault Aisha didn’t get a good grade in maths the first time around.
Aisha waits a beat, and then asks Yusuf how come he’s not screaming. Lmao. Yusuf says he doesn’t have a job. There we go! I thought it was so sus that he’d go back to his parents’ place when he’d been living abroad. He doesn’t manage a lot of artists. All his clients left him, so he went back to Norway and he’s been sending resumes and applications. This explains so much. Yusuf was so down on himself for “failing”, so he was even harder on Aisha because, as far as he knew, Aisha had so much more to lose than he did, studying law but dating Emrah, etc.
Yusuf asks Aisha why she doesn’t trust him. He says he can’t back her up if she doesn’t tell him anything. Aisha says she’d like to trust him, but she can’t when he threatens to tell their parents about Aisha’s shit whenever she does anything he doesn’t like. She jokes that she’s going to tell their parents about Yusuf not having a job. But then she sits next to him and she says he’s not like his friends say. He’s a good brother and he’s been taking really good care of her. Yusuf just has to stop treating her like a four year old, and they have to trust each other.
Emrah then texts Aisha to meet at 5. Yusuf asks if that’s Emrah, and Aisha says yes. Yusuf says to go meet Emrah, and he’ll cover for Aisha. So we get a scene where Aisha puts a lot of work into her appearance, with a nice top, Chanel’s earrings (! girl I miss you) and necklaces.
She and Emrah meet, and hug. I feel like Aisha is a bit overdressed compared to Emrah tbh lol. But anyway, Emrah then takes Aisha to some building, and he says one of his friends lives there. Aisha is extremely creeped out. She doesn’t want to go in or to walk up the stairs or anything. Emrah says to wait behind a door for a second, but of course, we know Aisha would never not barge into a situation headfirst lol. Behind the door, there’s a terrace. It’s empty. Aisha looks over the railing as if to check whether Emrah jumped lmao.
Emrah is actually on a higher level. He tells Aisha he told her to wait, but now she can just climb up the ladder. Aisha tells Emrah he’s so weird, but climbs up regardless. It turns out that Emrah remembered when they looked over Oslo at Ekeberg. Abdi lives in this building, and I guess he gave Emrah access to the rooftop, where he and Aisha can now have a nice view of Stovner, the neighborhood where AIsha has felt so trapped. There’s also a blanket and pillows, it’s all very sweet.
Emrah tells Aisha that is going to go away for a year. He can’t say what he’s going to do, but when he comes back, the debt will be repaid and he’ll be free. And what he’ll be doing shouldn’t hurt anyone, except perhaps himself. I don’t like this, I really wish Emrah didn’t have to go away. 😞 Why won’t Bigmac be arrested instead? But anyway, Emrah is fidgeting a bit. Aisha asks him if he’s okay, and Emrah says he’s cold. However, he’s also nervous, which we know because of what he does next. He gives Aisha the Kinder egg capsule. When she opens it, there’s a fucking ring inside lol. Aisha makes the funniest face, it’s like 😕. She looks over at Emrah, and he is kneeling! He asks her to marry him!
Aisha’s like, “no.” Gvhvhv. And she says Emrah doesn’t even want to get married. Emrah admits this is true. He just wanted to offer Aisha an out since she didn’t feel free at her parents’. Aisha says she doesn’t want to get married just to be free. Then she asks if Emrah stole the ring gvhv. She says, you have a debt so how can you buy a ring? Emrah says the ring is his mom’s, so he didn’t steal it. They laugh at how Emrah proposed marriage when they’re not even together.
Emrah says that when he was in jail, thinking of Aisha made it all so much easier. So he didn’t like that Aisha saw him like that in his apartment, talking about the panic attack. But, he’s also glad, because even after that, Aisha is still here. He says Aisha is his very best friend. Aisha says she’d never been in love before Emrah, not like this. Because Emrah always accepted her for who she is, even if she’s preachy and bossy. Emrah says maybe it’s best like this, they don’t have to be together. Aisha lays her head on Emrah’s upper arm and says he can always ask her for help, because even big, strong, tough guys need help sometimes, right? Emrah agrees. Then Aisha sticks her head under his arm, so that Emrah wrap his arm around her shoulders. Aisha says Stovner looks really nice from here. Emrah praises Stovner.
Then follows some aesthetic shots of Stovner, without people. And finally, a series of medium and close up shots of young people from Stovner. Boys and girls of different ethnicities, a couple wearing head coverings.
I think 17/18/16/19 was a show that was always committed to do justice to Stovner kids. In many ways, Abdi, Emrah, Ibo and Aisha (Yusuf, Jamilah, Freba...) embody stereotypes ascribed to second generation kids from poorer neighborhoods. But throughout this season, I always felt that, like Aisha said, the camera accepted Aisha for who she was. Even when she behaved badly or talked shit. I feel like this season (and probably the whole show, but I haven’t watched those seasons yet) showed characters who struggle to get by, who don’t have it so easy because they’re not wealthy or white or live in a really nice neighborhood. But these characters are ultimately just people who want to be happy and make things better for themselves and others, even in little ways like not burdening their parents with added debt. I think the 17-verse cared deeply for its characters, and so I find it hard to find a flaw. Because I don’t think it sought to judge the characters, or even the characters that the mains dislike. (Like uncle and Mohammed, for instance!)
One thing I’ve read a lot when it comes to representing minorities, it’s that the media should portray the joys along with the struggles. It shouldn’t be all struggle all the time, in order to make white (straight, cis) viewers feel pity. I think the shots of Stovner and Stovner people did just that. Show the joy, shyness, happiness of these teenies when they’re asked to pose for a TV series.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the season, and thanks for reading these posts. 💛

TodoDeku with a baby using prompt 10?
Tumblr media
Guess who took this prompt and went way overboard with it? This dweeb! *points at self*
Also, Trigger Warning: Mentions/References to Experimentation on Children, Mentions/ References to Child Neglect/ Abuse.
Parenting was a strange, exciting event that, while Todoroki Shouto adored, occasionally left him grasping at straws.
His own upbringing had been anything but soft and comforting. There had been the brief moments of reprieve with his mother or older sister, but they were far and few between; especially after the scalding incident. As he grew up, however, he began to come out of his own shell and begin picking up the pieces from his shattered youth. He developed a very dry, sarcastic sense of humor that people seemed to enjoy. He went out of his way to bumble awkwardly through befriending people he admired, boasting a small but close social circle that his younger self had thought was only a dream.
And he fell helplessly in love with Midoriya Izuku, the man who started these changes in him, and the two had started a family together a few years after marrying.
He had been nervous but thrilled about the whole prospect. While his own experience with parenting was dark and scarring – literally – he felt good about how he and Izuku would manage. The two of them were a strong couple and were very vocal about their needs and wants. They had a great support system in their friends, Inko and All Might, Rei and Shouto’s siblings, and – to a much lesser and restricted extent – Endeavor. They had done their research into what options were available for them and then started on the grueling process of being approved through both means; the first being adoption, and the second being assisted by a medical professional with an accommodating Quirk. Due to reform acts in the justice system – and Shouto would forever be grateful for those changes, all things considered – the process was a bit more complex for Pros, and especially so for a married couple that were both Pros.
But, after a full fourteen months of paperwork, appointments, interviews and home evaluations, they received their approval letter. And then, a few months later, on November 12th, they brought home their son, Todoroki Satoshi.
Satoshi was born via the assistance of a Quirk user, meaning he was biologically related to Shouto and Izuku. Just based on appearance, his relation to the Todoroki family was clear; he had the crimson locks and steel toned eyes and pale complexion. His hair did, however, have that same natural curl that Izuku's did, making it a nightmare to tame as it grew longer. Aside from his appearance, though, as he got older, more of his behavior was also derived from his Papa. He had more confidence in him than either Shouto or Izuku had at his age but that was compounded by being incredibly emotional and a bit of a crybaby. Toshi was near as quick to tears as his Papa had been a long time ago, but a part of Shouto was grateful for it. He liked that he was comfortable enough with himself to be so vulnerable and transparent with his feelings.
And then, when he was just a few weeks shy of four, there had been the manifestation of his Quirk, which had been... Well, a shit show, to put it in the most honest of terms. They’d been over at the Todoroki estate so the kids could visit with their cousins, aunts, uncles and Rei, the little cluster of seven children running to and fro chasing a ball in the yard. Shouto had been pleased to watch his children get to play with their family, delighted by the excited squeals and shouts coming from them all. But then, after a few minutes, Satoshi had come running over, all watery eyes and choked wails about how his throat hurt and it was hard to breath, little fingers clawing at his neck as if that would soothe his pain. He and Izuku were immediately rushing to get him in his Papa’s arms for a leap to the nearest emergency room, when he suddenly squirmed and pushed away, putting a bit of distance between himself and Izuku, turned his head to the side and unleashed an impressive blast of fire from his mouth, scorching a large tree not too far off into nothing but smoldering kindling. He and Izuku had stared at the murdered tree before looking at each other and then down at their son, who had slumped back against his Papa’s chest with a small whine. “I thought I was gonna puke,” he mumbled sheepishly. They had nodded awkwardly, not sure how else to respond, before Shouto excused himself to get the little tot some water.
Rei had been the one with the most insight of how to help them manage his newfound abilities, citing how she had managed Touya and Shouto when their Quirks first presented and they hadn’t started training with Endeavor. She suggested some small game-like exercises that would help Satoshi figure out how to make the Quirk work when he wanted, as well as give him some insight to when his Quirk was activating and he couldn’t stop it. A few days later, Endeavor had approached Shouto with the information for a support tech group that specialized in making customized home materials - such as sheets and clothes and the like - for children still learning to manage their Quirks. “Let them know I advised you speak with them and they should offer you a discount,” he had said. And that was the end of it, much to Shouto’s surprised pleasure.
Furthermore, getting in touch with Izuku's father had been a huge help, too. Satoshi's fire-breathing Quirk was significantly stronger than the elder Midoriya's was, but it seemed the backlash was similar. Overextending the Quirk could lead to dehydration - which had been learned quickly, given how excitedly he'd shown his Quirk off initially - and, when pushed too far, had actually torn his throat up enough to make him cough up some blood. The bigger struggle with him was maintaining control of how far and large the blast was. Almost a year after the fact, Satoshi was still learning in regards to those aspects of it, but had made great strides in his ability to control when the fire was used. It had been a month since the last time his Quirk went unruly and almost set a fire while he was sleeping and that was no small accomplishment.
And then there was their daughter, who came home just a short while after Satoshi turned a year old.
She was found through work. Or, rather, Izuku found her as part of an investigation he was assigned to. Shouto didn't know the specifics since he wasn't one of the Pros on the mission, but he knew it was disgusting; something involving experimentation to see about accelerating the development process for Quirks. All 78 test subjects had been children - some as old as eleven and their daughter being the youngest at only three months old - and it had rattled his husband to the core, seeing the state they were all in and how they'd been treated leading up to the sting. For the next two weeks, Izuku went to the hospital every night to visit with the children, checking their progress and hoping for the best. Once Shouto found out why he was going, he would join him when he could.
It was through this he learned specifically of Girl 36, the label attached to the youngest victim.
Of the 78 children, only 23 ended up surviving the ordeal; and of that, only 7 were reunited with their biological families while the rest needed to be rehomed completely. Girl 36 turned out to be biologically related to two of the main villains involved in the whole experiment who were still at large. Neither side of the villains' families wanted her, though, seeing her as a reminder of where their bloodlines had gone wrong. Her fate had seemed further sealed when a doctor had told them outright that she, as the youngest, was least likely to make it much longer. "While she hasn't been subjected to as much experimentation as some of the others," he said patiently, "she is very young and very small. For an infant of her age to have been this mistreated and neglected, the odds of bouncing back may as well be negative digits. We'll keep doing all we can, but we're mostly just trying to make sure she is as comfortable as possible when the inevitable occurs."
And she had been so small, so fragile, appearing as if an odd look would be enough to break her, that Shouto couldn't blame the doctor for his assessment. He peered down at her, tucked away in a little incubator of sorts, hooked up to far too many machines, and saw her little eyes crack open. Pumpkin colored slivers stared up at he and Izuku, a small spark there, and he knew. He knew that even if no one else believed that she could pull through, that she was strong and she would beat those impossible odds. That night, Shouto suggested they apply to adopt her. Izuku had wept in joy, confessing he had wanted to ask but wasn't sure how to approach it, and they started the process the following morning. It took six weeks for things regarding the adoption to be finalized, and then five more after before she was medically cleared to be discharged, but it was all well worth it.
Her birth date was determined to be some time in early May, with the doctor deciding the tenth seemed like a good day, and she sat at six months old when she came home on November 24th. They had selected the name Momiji for her because with her red-brown hair and orange eyes she seemed to be the living embodiment of fall aesthetics. So, naming her after the leaves that fell in the season she came home in only made sense. It was a little difficult at first, balancing their work with two children under the ages of two and one who needed a bit of extra care and monitoring, but they figured it out and were happy. Toshi enjoyed having a little sister to play with and Momiji started to thrive under the watchful eyes of her new, loving family.
But Momiji was rather different than Satoshi as she got older. She was easily excitable and an absolute chatterbox and seemed to have boundless energy. Furthermore, despite how much she had needed to be monitored, she was already significantly more independent than her brother. Part of that, though, could have been a side effect of how early on her Quirk ended up presenting. She had just barely been two years old when it happened, and while not unheard of, had become rather uncommon. The doctor explained that this was most likely a side effect of the experimentation she’d been put through, as it was a recurring theme with some of the other younger children that had lived. It had happened while she was in the bath before bedtime, as she was squealing and happily splashing about while Izuku laughed at her antics. One minute, she was in the tub, and then she suddenly perked up, her giggles cutting off as she blinked. “Momi?” Izuku had asked, tilting his head at her.
She patted at her belly and looked up at him, as if that would answer the question, and then she was enveloped in a yellow-white mist of light. It was brief - less than three seconds, Izuku swore - but when it faded, Momiji was gone. In her room, however, where Shouto had been pulling out some clean pajamas for her, the mist-light appeared, and suddenly Momiji was there, sitting on her changing table and dripping water all over it. Shouto remembered the two of them gawking at each other for a full five seconds before she took in a little gasp and said, nonchalant as a toddler could be, “Oh, hi Daddy.”
Teleportation, it was deemed medically, but Izuku liked to call it Peek-A-Boo, given its sporadic nature.
They'd had to do quite a bit of research to better understand her Quirk; specifically in that they had to drudge up the files of her genetic donors, since Shouto refused to apply the word "parent" to villains like that. Their Quirks were called Locator and Mistafy respectively; one could pinpoint a person's exact coordinates with enough information about them, while the other could briefly transform their body into a faint mist to move around or past things. Learning the limitations of their powers helped give them more insight with Momiji's own Quirk. She didn't have a particularly large range and she was limited to places she knew the layout of to a certain extent, so they didn't have to worry about her poofing off the property, at least. There had been one scare, though, when she'd teleported herself into a small crawl space under the house, where she had apparently burrowed into during a few rounds of hide-and-seek before. She could poof from room to room when visiting Inko and All Might or Rei and Endeavor, what with her being familiar with their homes, but she couldn't just appear in a neighbor's home or something.
And that had been a huge relief, really. They'd had to start working on her Quirk early on to avoid her “peeking” - as they preferred to call it - herself somewhere she shouldn't, or somewhere dangerous like the time with the crawl space. They had done it using little games, just like they did with Toshi, and learned that she could also teleport small objects, as well as that overworking her Quirk would lead to fainting spells. She was also a quick study, picking up on the same ticks of her power that her parents had and taking their advice or warning very seriously. Despite being younger, she was better with her Quirk than Satoshi, having reached a point where she seemed to have near-flawless control of it. Her last incident of accidental peeking was nearly three months ago.
But her Quirk was also part of what had Shouto's mind working in overdrive. He had voiced his concern to Rei and Inko, but the pair of them had merely giggled about what a mother hen he was being, fretting over his little chick running the roost a bit more. It wasn't about that, though! It wasn't about her being able to brush her teeth on her own without needing to be asked, or getting herself drinks or anything trivial like that! Shouto was fine that Momiji and Satoshi were already showing differences in who they were growing to be. What he worried about was what the catalyst for her to be so self-reliant at her young age was. How much of her independence was just part of her personality, and how much of it was out of a perceived sense of necessity? Had the need to get a handle on her Quirk led to her feeling like she was obligated to be more responsible, more mature? Was she feeling the same way he felt growing up?
That was what scared him. That she was carrying far too much weight on her little shoulders.
The thought was still bothering him as he dragged himself home after a late night patrol. He knew that by the time he got home, Izuku and the kids would most likely already be in bed. It was a quarter past eleven by the time he came through the door. He made a beeline for the bedroom, being quiet as he did so, and took a quick shower. It was as he was finishing up her pre-bed route that he noticed a quiet rustling sound in the bedroom proper. He rinsed his mouth and poked his head out, flicking the light off as he did.
There was a small squeak of surprise and then the soft patter of footsteps rushing from the left side of the bed towards the door. For a moment, he almost thought it was Toshi, but the figure was a smidge too short. "Momiji," he called softly, resisting the urge to dart over and scoop her up. He kept telling himself to just let her do what she needed to do, to trust that she'd speak up if needed.
She paused in reaching for the door before letting out a whimper, charging at him, latching to his right leg, and started crying. He was stunned by the act for a second, his body wavering slightly. Normally when she wanted one of them, she'd use her Quirk to get to them faster. He shifted to pick her up and cradle her against him, tucking her into his right shoulder. He kept one arm looped under her legs while the other stroked her back, trying to soothe her some. The quiet rustle of covers caught his attention and he turned to see a groggy Izuku sitting up, rubbing one eye with the heel of a hand. The minute he realized what was going on, though, he was wide awake. "What happened?" he mouthed.
"I'm not sure," he mouthed back. He moved over to the bed, carefully slipping into his side while keeping her close. Once he was settled, Izuku moved closer so he could rest against Shouto’s left side and reach out to help soothe their little girl, the three of them all squished together. After a few moments of soft words and gentle reassurances, she settled down a little. Her tiny body still shuddered with each breath in, but her cries had quieted down and her tears had subsided to just small sniffles. “Feeling a little better?” he prompted.
“Mmhmm,” she mumbled, letting out another little sniffle.
Izuku reached over and gently wiped away the last few tears from her cheeks. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“I had a bad d-dream,” she said, a hiccup causing her to stumble over the last word. She peeked her little eyes at them before tilting her head to nuzzle further into Shouto, hiding her face. “I kept peeking over and over and I didn’t know where I was and I couldn’t make it st-stop and it was s-su-super s-s-sc-ary!”
Shouto tilted his head to press a small kiss to the top of her head as she started to work herself up into another fit while Izuku started wiping away the new batch of tears. "Oh, Momi, it's okay. It's okay to have scary dreams," Izuku cooed softly.
"N-Nu-uh!" she protested, burrowing her face into Shouto.
Izuku let out a small sigh as he tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "Oh, sweetie, everyone has scary dreams sometimes,"
"N-Not about their Q-Quirks!" she hiccupped, lifting her head to scowl at him. With the watery eyes and trembling lower lip, though, any attempt at intimidation was lost. "M-Mako-Kun doesn't g-get sc-scared of his Q-Quirk! A-And neither do Kaito or Reo or Isamu or Hibari!” The mention of Fuyumi’s kids was unsurprising, but the first one she mentioned did catch Shouto a bit off guard. Mako was the neighbor boy, a middle school student that occasionally walked Satoshi home and who helped his mom babysit them when neither Shouto or Izuku were going to be off of work on time or had anyone else available. His Quirk had something to do with generating poison and anti-venom, from what Shouto recalled, but he couldn't remember the specifics. Something to ask Izuku about later, since he'd most likely know.
"Well, Mako-Kun has had his Quirk a lot longer than you. I'm sure he was scared of it a little bit at first, too," Izuku chimed in softly, though he seemed a bit unsure of himself. Shouto knew that Izuku didn’t have any first hand experience with dealing with a Quirk at a young age, but they hadn’t discussed that fact with the kids yet. They were still only five and four, respectively, and they worried the pair would let the secret slip. They both knew that both kids tended to brag about who their dads were, after all.
Shouto hummed in agreement, carding a hand through her hair. “Papa’s right. Everyone's a little scared of their Quirk when they’re still learning about it. Why, I was afraid of my Quirk for a really long time,” he commented.
Momiji’s head snapped up lightning fast at that, looking at him like he’d just rocked the entire foundation of her world. “What? But you’re Daddy! A Hero! You’re not scared of nothing!” she squawked.
He laughed quietly, gently stroking her hair again to coax her to lie back down. “I wasn’t a Hero back then; I was little, like you. And even now, I might be a Hero, but there are still things I’m afraid of,” he mused.
“Like what?” she chirped, slowly settling back down, resting her chin on him and tilting her head so she could stare up at him.
“Well, I’m scared of something happening to you, or Papa, or Satoshi. I’m scared of not doing a good job as a Hero, or as a parent,” he admitted.
“And scorpions,” Izuku chimed in helpfully.
Shouto cast him a side glance before lightly pinched his belly in retaliation, causing the other to throw his face into a pillow with a muffled giggle. “Scorpions are icky!” Momiji agreed with a little shudder.
“Yes, they are,” he agreed, turning his attention back to her. “But back to the Quirk thing… I was very scared of my Quirk when I was around your age. I was always worried about hurting someone with it.”
“So what did you do?” she mumbled softly. “When you got scared?”
For a moment, he wasn’t sure what to tell her. He didn’t want to lie and pretend that he had parents that he could actively seek comfort from, but he also didn’t think that unpacking his childhood trauma on his daughter was responsible. His own childhood coping mechanisms also weren’t the best. But, he realized, there was something he could offer up. “Well, I would take a little break from using it,” It was a half truth at best, since he was pretty sure that ‘a little break’ didn’t extend to ‘nearly a decade of non-use’, but it was mostly true once he started actively using his fire. It had taken him time to get used to it and, sometimes, he’d struggle and get frustrated or scared. “I’d go do other things, like reading a book or studying notes, and just not really think about my Quirk until I felt ready.”
She hummed and nodded quietly, shifting to nuzzle closer to him again. “Mkay,” she said simply.
“Do you feel better, baby?” Izuku asked softly, resting his head against Shouto’s chest and getting himself comfortable.
“Mmhmm,” she hummed before opening her mouth wide in a yawn. She smacked her lips a bit and burrowed into Shouto, little hand curling in the fabric of his night shirt and her eyes sliding closed. “Can I sleep here?”
The pair of them exchanged amused looks. As if they were going to shoo the poor thing back to her room, especially when she was already so comfy and content. “Of course you can,” Shouto hummed, pressing another kiss to the top of her head.
“Love you, Daddy, Papa,” she yawned, eyes cracking open briefly as she flashed them a little smile before they fluttered closed again.
Shouto carefully curled his arm around her to keep her close while Izuku settled one of his hands on top of hers, thumb gently stroking the top. Once her breaths started to come in even, steady puffs, green eyes flashed upwards with affectionate exasperation. “This little girl, I swear. She just jumps from hysterical to dubious to exhausted like it’s nothing,” he chuckled.
“Well, she is our daughter. Emotional extremes are kind of our thing in this family,” he teased back, grin widening when Izuku whined and ducked his face into his shoulder. “And, I mean, I don’t blame her for being exhausted. Being scared can be very tiring.”
“Hmm,” Izuku agreed, turning his head to look at her again. She was completely peaceful now, little sleepy snores escaping her. “Do you think that part of it is because she doesn’t spend a whole lot of time with other kids her age? I mean, she has play dates with everyone elses kids when we can find the time, but the kids she sees the most often are bigger kids. Or perhaps it’s a matter of her Quirk being so different from the rest of the family and her friends? I mean, most of the other kids have more expansive Quirks that aren’t so directly tethered to their spatial awareness.”
“I’ll call Momo tomorrow and see what preschool program she and Kyoka are thinking about putting Shikako in. Perhaps being with a peer that she knows whose Quirk also has an element of unpredictability will help her feel comfortable. Or at least give her someone her own age that relates to help her feel better about it,” he commented. Shikako had been another of the rescued survivors from the same incident as Momiji, though she was a few months older. She had been living with a different family for the first six months after the incident, but then her Quirk presented. It turned out to be Projection; she could temporarily bring things she imagined to life. Because of how similar her Quirk seemed to work to Momo’s, she and Kyoka had immediately jumped to take her in when her first family admitted to not knowing how to manage her Quirk, happy to offer her a safe and loving home.
“You’re amazing,” Izuku said, leaning up to kiss him quickly before settling back down. Shouto smiled and relaxed into the bed, basking in the weight of his husband and daughter pressing down on him. There was going to be some phone calls to make in the morning and there was still work to be done, but he felt relieved to know their daughter wasn’t afraid to open up and seek comfort from them.
He held her a little tighter, though, just in case the lingering fears tried to disturb her again.

12 Shocking Things I Learned by Working as a Butler at the Plaza Hotel
You’ll never look at hotel staff the same way again.
Bloomberg Brandon Presser
Old-school service is alive and well at the Plaza: High tea treats are served in brass birdcages, tuxedo-clad bellman whisk away luggage to gilded suites, and chefs bear toques that tower above their heads. But in the age of Amazon Prime—when we all want everything now—what is it really like blending vestigial aristocratic assistance with light-speed wish fulfillment? In order to properly find out, I accepted an offer from New York’s iconic Plaza Hotel to join its team of butlers, a coterie of 10 servicemen (and one woman!) who trot around the property’s 20 floors day and night, making sure 282 rooms’ worth of guests feel like royalty. For two hot days in July 2017, I raced around with a team that, like the city itself, seemingly never sleeps—hearing tales of the trade from the department’s director, Emma, and serving guests alongside some of her most experienced staffers.
This is an elite crew: It bears a combined 147 years of experience, and many have served as house managers for affluent families all over the world. Me? I got express credentials for my two-day residency—unprecedented for the Plaza. They included a detailed orientation of the property and a uniform fitting for my hotel-issued attire (gold-plated name tag and all).
Over my short tenure, I delivered laundry to Middle Eastern princesses and fetched lobsters out of wishing wells—and listened to colleagues delight in the oddities of their jobs, from fielding requests for Viagra or comforting a weeping woman over spilled blueberries. Serving the world’s rich and famous, it turns out, plumbs the depths of an alternative universe that readily embraces the absurd without even batting an eye. And that was only the beginning of what I learned.
Here, 12 secrets to keep in mind the next time you check into a five-star hotel.
One VIP List You Don’t Want to Be On
Hundreds of butler requests roll in each shift—mostly to fill ice buckets, handle laundry, and shine shoes. Complimentary packing and unpacking requests are also common, though they can turn into day-long affairs. A surprising number of international guests will purchase adjoining suites: one to sleep in and one for their luggage.
By matter of corporate philosophy, every guest should feel like a VIP at the Plaza. But a hierarchy still exists among those who check-in at reception. At the top of the pyramid are kings, queens, and heads of state—or as butlers call them: V1s, and they are ever-present on the property. Then come high-payers, long-stayers, guests booking a large block of rooms, and recognizable celebs. They’re called DVs, or distinguished visitors. On the bottom of the VIP totem pole is the SA group, known complainers or otherwise difficult and demanding guests who require “special assistance.”
Bath Time Can Be Awkward
Another common request for the butler team is to draw baths with a signature blend of salt, oil, and roses—especially during the colder months of the year. But the butler’s duties aren’t necessarily complete once the tub is full. Bal, the Plaza’s resident bath-time specialist, said that 95 percent of the time, he’s asked to remain within arm’s reach as bathers suds-up. Most of them, he said, want more hot water or scented oil, and are happy to keep him on hand while they relax in the nude. He is often left to pull the plug from the drain, elbow-deep in leftover water.
It gets weirder. One of my butler colleagues at a previous job in London was asked to ship in and set up a guest’s order of fresh oysters in the bathtub. He diligently filled the tub with ice and laid the oysters out, only to discover that the guest wanted the oysters placed in the tub around his soaking body. Eventually, the client seemed satisfied: He purchased the room next door for his butler so he’d always be near.
Hotel Guests Are Pretty Predictable …
The Plaza’s guest relations team researches everyone staying at the hotel on an individual basis, using a variety of social media tools. (The favorite is LinkedIn.com.) Butlers, on the other hand, often use past trends to size people up on the spot. They send electric kettles to the rooms of arriving Asian guests, who often bring noodles from home to cook in their suite. They keep an eye on the minibar when tending to Americans in their thirties and forties—they’re considered the partiers of the hotel, likeliest to plow through the booze. Middle Eastern VIPs get what is called an “Arabic Amenity”—a tray of dates, dried fruit, and nuts; they tend to prefer these to chocolates, cakes, or other sweet desserts. And the butler staff knows to immediately ask Western businessmen if they have shirts or suits that needs servicing upon checking in; they’re always the ones who treble the quantity of laundry in the basement.
… Except When They’re Totally Unpredictable
Despite the overwhelming regularity of guest behaviors, travelers can mystify even the most experienced of butlers. During my shifts, lobster shells kept appearing in the fountains of the hotel’s interior courtyard. Every day, the staff would fish them out, only to find a new one a few hours later. It turned out that a Middle Eastern prince was ordering cooked lobster from room service for every meal and then throwing the empty shells out the window to land in a fountain below. (Emma asked him to stop—nicely—but pieced together the mystery only on the day of his departure.)
Another time, a woman called Emma hysterically crying “as though her husband died and she just discovered the body.” When Emma finally calmed her down, she comprehended the real reason for the guest’s tears: There was no more Kleenex in her suite, and her young daughter had been forced to blow her nose on toilet paper.
Sex, Drugs and … Come Again?
As at any hotel, requests for drugs and prostitutes do happen—but not frequently. Bal has been asked for drugs only two or three times in his 10 years at the Plaza, and he is careful to stick within the boundaries of the law. Condom needs are another story: Mouhsine, one of the other butlers, always carries a pack with him, especially in the evenings. On being called to fulfill one such late-night request, no one answered the door after several knocks; he gently entered the room to find the two guests in the “go” position, waiting to be walked-in on.
Far more interesting than sex and drugs are the more outlandish client requests. Recently, Emma fielded a service call from a woman searching for some missing chocolate-covered blueberries, which had fallen off a window ledge. Emma offered to obtain replacements from the same brand and store, but the guest was adamant about retrieving her exact snack. Emma and the security team trawled the hotel’s interior courtyard for hours, blueberry-hunting, to no avail. During my brief tenure, the weirdest request was for two liters of intravenous saline solution—meant for a doctor’s ailing wife, who was presumably on the wrong side of a stunning hangover.
Some requests are even more bizarre. One butler told the story of how he was asked to replace all the furniture in a suite because the guest didn’t like the color blue. Another was sent off to scout the city’s reliquaries for a justice of the peace trophy—a prize for a newly minted lawyer. Another arranged for a live tarantula flown in from Africa to be served as a meal. Of course, butlers always deliver with a straight face.
Mind the Pillowcases
Missing pillowcases can be a real issue at the Plaza. But it’s not the tourists that have sticky fingers. And it’s not hotel pillowcases that are getting stolen. At least once a week, a white pillowcase that was brought from a guest’s home gets mistaken for a hotel-issued version and is sent out for cleaning. Sometimes they’re never seen again, in which case Emma dispatches a bellman to purchase new coverings, drawing on the hotel’s coffers, no matter the price.
Christmastime: Not so Merry
“Party season,” which spans October to December, feels like a constant carousel of functions, banquets, and events at the Plaza. Every evening, there are four or five requests for assistance at looping bow ties and zipping up cocktail dresses. And in the last few years, requests for holiday-themed decorations in the rooms have become so commonplace that the hotel now offers a standard Christmas package that includes a fresh, fully decorated tree, assembled by the butlers pre-check-in for $500.
The Customer Is Not Always Right
Complaints follow regular patterns. Every day, a guest will complain about too-slow laundry service. Though forms clearly offer standard and expedited return times, they’re not fast enough for some.
Minibar charges also lead to regular disputes. A full raid of your room’s bar runs $600 at the Plaza—something that happens at least once a week. The likelihood that guests will not want to pay is almost guaranteed.
This requires butlers to document everything with pocket cameras, whether it’s open booze bottles spread across the room, stains on laundry that existed before washing, or evidence of damaged furniture. Every ticket is verified on a computer and photos are attached, so when TripAdvisor.com lights up with a fiery review, the butlers are able to provide evidence to dispel any falsehoods.
The Easiest Way to Get Banned
It’s a lot easier than you might think. The hotel has a strict anti-discrimination policy, and zero tolerance is given to guests who mistreat the staff because of race, gender, age, or creed. Even now, guests sometimes request that staff of a certain ethnic extraction not be allowed to service their rooms; others will ask service members if they are legal in America. Emma, the director of the butler team, cited several incidents of sexism, too, such as the time guests asked to speak with a manager but grew angrier when she showed up instead of a man.
The refusal of services goes all the way up the ladder to DVs. At least two specific celebrities are permanently banned from the Plaza—one, a pop diva expelled for excessive drug and alcohol use and a belligerent attitude towards the staff, the other a sitcom star who took his anger issues out on a suite’s worth of furnishings.
Afternoon Tea Leftovers Don’t Go to Waste
Hidden within the Plaza’s secret back-of-house corridors and tunnels is a cafeteria reserved for the staff. Open during lunch, dinner, and late-night hours for (surprisingly good!) hot meal service, the canteen offers bagels and drinks for the peckish throughout the entirety of the day. But the savviest snackers know to visit the cafeteria at exactly 5:30 p.m., because that’s when the leftovers from high tea at the Palm Court upstairs are put out for the staff. (They serve only the food that was prepped but not plated.) Emma said she practically lives off mini cucumber sandwiches. I liked the tiny blueberry cheesecakes.
A Good Tip Can Make It Worthwhile
New York City’s hospitality workers are protected under a spectrum of different unions. While bellmen and room service are considered “tipping staff,” the butlers do not expect fiscal rewards for their work, beyond the Plaza’s paycheck. But Bal and his colleagues still see a few ex-presidents from time to time.
His biggest tip during the last 10 years? It came from a French model-actress keen on setting up a romantic weekend for her boyfriend, a well-known fashion magnate. Bal placed flowers on every flat surface throughout their suite, organized lunch in a helicopter over Central Park, and tracked down a very specific, very expensive bottle from a specialist store off-site. By the end of the weekend, she handed him $8,000 in cash.
Seven months later, the founder of the fashion label was back at the hotel with a different girlfriend.
When to Call It a Night
The Plaza maintains a Betsey Johnson-designed suite in honor of Eloise, the capricious six-year-old that fictionally lived on the property. It was here that Nimer, another member of the butler team, had his most bizarre service experience to date. A request was put in for someone to come up and read the beloved children’s book as a bedtime story, but when Nimer arrived there were no children to be found. Four thirtysomethings were neatly tucked into one, large bed. Concealing his shock, Nimer read to them for 90 minutes—then tracked down Eloise on video, in case they hadn’t had enough.

Catching up on SATC
I might be a decade too late for this and a decade too young for this (at least), but I’ve finally set my mind to it: Sex And The City. It was kind of a surprise for me, how good it turned out to be. The series, that is. The movies are... not that memorable.
Tumblr media
But seeing as I was about 8 when the first season came out, it’s safe to say that I completely missed out on the  madness that lived amongst fans of the show. This wasn’t necessarily the case for ‘Friends’, that first aired when I was 3, but I guess Friends was... more kid friendly, to say the least.
I’m really quite dissapointed about that, though. I wanted to have been in New York when the women of the show were. And I wanted to have experienced life, relationships and, well, sex when they were. And I almost forgot -  I wanted to drink Cosmo’s like they did. Alas, I was just a kid. Though, I’m really happy not to have to deal with answering machines anymore.
A lot of people have told me to watch the show, but I was never all that convinced. After watching the series, I have realized that I was thrown off by the movies. I had actually seen the movies (I’m not 100% sure if I had seen both, but I had definitely seen the second movie). I’m not the first person to say this but... the movies really don’t do the show justice.
But like a lot of other times, I finally found time in my schedule and I decided to check the show off my bucket list. I immediately liked it but at the same time, I have to admit, I wasn’t hooked on it. In the first season, SATC seemed a little too Rich White Women to me. Which is also the feeling I had with the movies. But perhaps for the movies, it was even more Spoiled Rich White Women. In the second movie, they were barely even in The City, go figure.
A lot had also to do with the character development that wasn’t yet, I guess, developped. But the stereotypes in the four main characters are never truly far gone, as they shouldn’t. They were written that way on purpose. That’s why after more than 20 years, girlfriends still like to discuss how their either Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte or Miranda. Me? Well, at first I couldn’t relate to Miranda all that much. Then the character development came and I started to see past the cynical over-achiever. But something strange happened with Charlotte for me - the opposite happened for me. I liked Charlotte at first. I thought I WAS Charlotte.  Yeah, I don’t like her, except for when Charlotte finally speaks the truth about something.
Tumblr media
Much to my surprise, I do really like Samantha. Before the show, I thought I could never like her. I thought she was that character that made its appearance so that they could keep the “Sex” in their title. But Samantha is, as it turns out, not always all about sex. Okay, she is. But there are a couple of things that I really admire about her:
She’s always there for her girls. She knows that men will come (pun intended, of course) and go but her friends will always stay.
She’s brutally honest. She says it like it is. And you are NEVER going to get the feeling she’s f-ing with you.
She’s like some kind of magical predictor of the future: in season 2, Samantha explained this to Carrie: “It’s 2000! The new millennium won’t be about sexual labels, it’ll be about sexual expression. It won’t matter if you’re sleeping with men or with women, it’ll be about sleeping with individuals.” And she continued explaining: “Soon everybody will be pansexual, it won’t matter if you’re gay or straight”. Look it up, people.
She’s a fierce business woman. She’s got it all figured out, makes tons of money and is entirely and 100% independent and has always been.
Besides being honest, she also puts her money where her mouth is. When she fell for a woman, she went all in - sexually. When they were through, she was clear about the reason of the break-up: she wasn’t ready for a relationship. She’s always been open to all kinds of sex, but never to relationships (up until that point, I might add).
She has the most wonderful, amazing and funny af one-liners.
Tumblr media
And then there’s Carrie. Carrie never really spoke to me, at all. I never really had actual feelings about her. Though I hated her and Big’s affair. I’m not sure why that happened in the first place. I’m not a Carrie/Big shipper or a Carrie/Aiden shipper, for a matter of fact. But affairs are horrible and Aiden didn’t deserve that. So I’m still a little angry with Carrie for that (and with Big as well). Besides that, I think Carrie overspends on shoes, as fabulous as they are.
That being said, the show is hilarious. It’s not a sitcom, it’s not non-stop, but the conversations these women are having are ones that are witty, smart and unpretentiously sharp.
However, the show also has various boring or cringe-worthy storylines. Such as... THE COMPLETE RUSSIAN GUY STORYLINE!!! OH MY GOD, that man is boring from start to finish. Much like Miranda, I was not supportive of her going to Paris with him. Also, why don’t you do the sensible thing and visit the city first before making snap judgements and moving across the world? Not to mention giving up your well earning writing job? (I assume it’s well earning considering her closet).
As Carrie would say: I couldn’t help but wonder... why the hell she started dating this guy in the first place...?
If that storyline was meant to be an anticlimax for what was going to happen with Big at the end... the writers deserve much, much praise. Then again, the writers are a-holes for putting that long storyline in, in the first place.
I would also like to give Carrie smoking an honorable mention as “cringe-worthy”. I’m sure it used to cool, but nowadays, it’s the reason why Sarah Jessica Parker has marionette lines in the second movie. (That was mean, I know, sorry SJP).
The MOST cringy-worthy is, without a doubt, the whole second movie.
Listen, here’s my take on the movies: (you thought you were almost done with this post, right? )
There were two storylines which felt a little unfinished to me. Of course, Carrie/Big. I understand the craving for that couple actually being a couple. Their ending in the series was very much a fairytale ending, but as we know, life is not and this show usually isn’t either. But the storyline of Charlotte felt a little unfinished either. Yes, she finally gets the good news that she’s going to be a mom, but I wanted to get more. I wanted to meet the girl and I wanted her and Harry to try and raise her.
Both storylines were completed in the first movie. And the audience - including me - was satisfied. But there’s a big catch: the other two ladies. Both Samantha and Miranda were in happy place at the end of the show.
In fact, I feel like they needed to create storylines out of thin air in the last few episodes for the both of them. Not including Samantha’s breast cancer storyline, that was amazing.
In the movie, however, friction had to be created for them so they forced this phony storyline on us where Miranda and Steve broke up because Steve cheated. Why would you do that to Steve, writers? He’s a really good guy and has always been a good guy. Why make him a cheater?
And I’m also a bit too much aware, yet again, that these ladies have too much time and money. While the show is typical HBO (real and honest), the movie is not. But that’s not entirely their fault. Movies are typically written for a different audience, therefore, are more glamourous and unrealistic.
After having seen the first movie, I watched the second one, reluctantly. I regret the descision. While the first movie barely had any storyline, the second one had none at all. It was all glamour, no actual feelings. I honestly thought I was watching a tourist commercial for Abu Dhabi, that is if you could look past the fact that Charlotte never had any reception with her phone (might be different by now, who knows, right?).
I would also like to add that it’s quite sad that Miranda and Charlotte only got to talk about their issues they have as mothers during cocktail hour at a foreign country. They’re supposed to be best friends and they both have small children. You’d think they would’ve discussed their struggles by now. In the world of SATC, they sure as hell discussed all other things.
I’m sure that Kim & SJP will ever work their issues out - but please, please, don’t make another movie, guys. There is nothing left to tell.
We laughed and we cried, but now we’re done and we’re moving on. At least I am. Cheers!

How and Why Bluepulse Should Be Canon Next Season
So, we didn’t get it this season. With everything that went on, all of the plot holes left unresolved and some general disappointment all round, I suppose it wasn’t the right time. I’m upset, don’t get me wrong, but I can live with it, IF bluepulse can become canon next season. I believe S4 is the prime time to get bluepulse, (if Grandon decides to finally stop jerking us shippers around) and here are the reasons why:
THE TIME SKIP. One of the major reasons bluepulse couldn’t become canon this season (at least according to Greg) was because of Bart and Jaime’s age gap. I know a lot of people expressed concern over the difference of the three years between them (some even going so far as to call it pedophilia) and how that would effect things. Greg agreed that 15 and 18 was too much of a difference. Now that s3 is over however, there is the opportunity for the characters to be aged up yet again with another timeskip. I’M NOT SUGGESTING ANYTHING DRASTIC HERE. I think three or four years would be about right. It wouldn’t leave too much time in between seasons, so there is a chance the plot points that went unresolved this season can be rectified. Additionally, it puts Bart and Jaime into the same age range. Both of them would be in college. Bart would be 18 or 19, and Jaime would be 21 or 22. The three year gap would no longer be problematic. Plus (and I know I’m getting ahead here) I would love to see the boys on the League. As I recall, 18 was the agreed upon age to admit new members. Plus, Barry has to raise the twins! Being the Flash, maintaining his job as a CSI and raising two speedster babies all at once can’t be easy. Let the guy retire! Bart’s a legacy. Seeing him take the Flash mantle would complete his journey!
THE SHOW IS ALLOWED TO HAVE REP NOW. Though I really can’t fathom why special permission was needed. Being gay, or lesbian, or bisexual, or trans, or any other member of LGBTQ+ isn’t explicit, or warrants a mature rating. It’s the same thing as a heterosexual relationship. The precedent that two men or two women having a relationship together is considered explicit is really unhealthy and harmful. Special permission to include LGBTQ+ characters should never have been needed. ANYWAY, getting back to the show, Grandon tried, and fell short. Violet came out as non-binary. Great! But after the three seconds it took her/them to come out, the subject of her/their gender was never brought up again. A discussion about Violet’s preferred pronouns, or even just hearing the other characters of the show switch to using them/they for Violet would have shown viewers that Grandon was actually serious about Violet’s gender identity, and not just throwing that bit in there to make a point. Secondly, we had the Harper/Harper scene. I’m not going to go into it, because we all know why that scene was so harmful, but I do need to bring it up. And finally, we have Seabreeze (Kaldur/Wynnde). THAT IS THE ONLY GOOD REP WE GOT THIS SEASON. Am I happy for Kaldur? Yes. That man deserved some happiness after all of the stress and heartbreak he’s been through. Seabreeze was the ship we didn’t ask for, but the one that we deserved. This however, doesn’t give Grandon an excuse. One good gay relationship doesn’t erase the two previously mentioned mistakes. If Grandon is actually serious about making an attempt to give us good representation and understanding the LGBTQ+ community, they will give us more characters that we can relate to. Also, it will show fans that Grandon isn’t just ticking a box by including one gay couple. It isn’t ‘one-and-done’ with this issue. We have a plethora of cis-het relationships in this show (some of which are really unnecessary). All I’m asking for is that the same respect and consideration can be put into including characters of different sexual backgrounds. (Two white guys have no problem introducing characters of color- they’ve actually done a pretty good job of being inclusive- with a few exceptions. Why is it different for two straight guys to introduce LGBTQ+ characters?)
NATASHA IRONS. We got Steel this season. Why not his niece? Granted, there have been a lot of new character introductions this season with little/no development. I understand that. But one of those characters who got little screen time was Traci. She was heavily promoted pre-s3 and was in two episodes? I know there are people in the fandom who wanted to see more of her. Introducing Natasha next season will give Grandon that opportunity. Having Traci come back next season in a healthy lesbian relationship? Even better. Natasha and Traci were girlfriends in the comics. There’s no reason they can’t be together in the show as well. Going along with that train of thought, Traci dated Jaime in the comics too. I have a feeling that’s why Grandon put them together this season. But, if I’m being honest, Jaime and Traci’s relationship didn’t go anywhere in the comics, and aside from one episode this season, it wasn’t developed in the show either. There’s really no point in keeping them together next season. There is however two excellent opportunities for good rep, if Jaime and Traci break things off. It frees them both up for relationships with Bart and Natasha respectively. If Grandon really wants to impress us and make up for the bad rep from this season, this would be an excellent way to do it. We’d get a healthy gay pairing and a healthy lesbian pairing. Relatable to a HUGE population of non-straight viewers.
THE SHIP IS POPULAR. It’s not a very good arguing point, but it is true. I understand Grandon have never been huge listeners of fanservice, and I don’t necessarily think they should be. Young Justice is their show to write, and if they gave into every fan request, the show would be a disaster. BUT, it’s not like they can ignore the fans either. They have to make a show that we will enjoy watching. If they go around disappointing the fanbase and insulting us at every turn, they’re going to lose a lot of viewers. We fought hard to get this show back. Grandon would be stupid to let it last for only two more seasons. Yj has been trending on DC Universe since we first came back in January. It’s the most lucrative show for the streaming service (I personally only bought a subscription for this show in particular). Including things such as popular ships that the audience will enjoy seeing is just a smart decision to keep people coming back and paying that subscription fee each month. Bluepulse is the third most popular ship in the fandom behind Birdflash and Spitfire. With the bridges Grandon has burned with Wally West at the end of s2 and now again in s3, the two most popular ships are going to be a little hard to continue pulling off. Birdflash fans got Dick’s slip of the tongue in Private Security and his fever dream this season, while Spitfire fans got Artemis’ moment of closure in ep25 today. But how are these ships supposed to be carried on into the future? I really really hate saying this as someone who actually loved Wally in s1, but I don’t think he’s coming back. With all of the teasers and everything Grandon has done with him/his ghost this season, I think it was their way of letting the fans down easy. (Trust me, I was really hoping he was going to come back. I held onto that hope until the end of the season). So that leaves them with bluepulse. It would honestly be stupid not to put Bart and Jaime together. With Birdflash and Spitfire out, it’s the most popular pairing in the fandom. The two have had plenty of time together on screen to grow and become friends (potentially develop feelings) that suddenly having them together when we go into S4 won’t be any kind of shock. With all of the development they got together in s2, it’s a waste to not make them a couple. It’s all there. All Grandon has to do is make it official.
These are the most important reasons and justifications I’ve been able to come up with. Honestly, I don’t know why Greg and Brandon wouldn’t take this opportunity. Bluepulse becoming canon next season would be easy to include, and make up for a lot of the canon relationship B.S. that occurred this season. It should be the top goal for S4.

Thank You Andi Mack
So that this doesn’t get lost in the endless sea tomorrow, I thought I’d make a little thank you post for some of the people who made this series so wonderful.
Oh, and @joshua-rush, if you’re reading this, feel free to send this to the others.
Tumblr media
Peyton Elizabeth Lee, thank you for playing Andi Mack. Our titular Asian-American protagonist who has a heart as big as her creativity. A character with one of the craziest, yet lovable family trees imaginable.
Some great plot lines she has starred in include, of course, her messed up family tree. It’s come a long way from Season 1, where we get to see her family come together, fall apart, but come back together in the end. A couple of episodes centered around her Chinese heritage, providing us with an idea of tradition and culture for Chinese people. Her relationships have unfortunately gotten the short end of the stick, but it compensates for her many creative and rebellious acts. To name a few, she was the one who started the dress code protest, as well as the Mint Chip clothing store garage sale. She also broke the huge Asian stereotype with her arts and crafts mural, which (hopefully) got her into SAVA.
Well-Known Ships: Jonah, Amber, Walker
Tumblr media
Sofia Wylie, thank you for playing Buffy Driscoll. Headstrong, yet fierce, you’ve helped to show young women, especially women of color, across the world that they have more potential than they realize, and that the right motivation is all they need to be the best person they can.
Honorable plot lines include her moving story, which to be honest, had a bit of a lackluster ending. But it still gave younger kids a glimpse that not all people are lucky like that, so close connections may be lost when someone leaves. Of course, connecting to that is the military mother plot, where Buffy finally reunites with her mom, who had been deployed at sea. But in my opinion, her best plot line had to have been her entire sports career, and how she went from a bossy and competitive player to a supportive team captain.
Well-Known Ships: Marty, Walker
Tumblr media
Joshua Rush, thank you for playing Cyrus Goodman. Jewish, gay, but most importantly, loyal best friend. You’ve inspired many LGBT kids to come out to their loved ones (myself, included), and taught them that they are no different to anyone else.
His plots were some of the most mature, but most important ones of all. To get the big one out of the way, there’s his gay storyline, where he comes out to his closest friends, and shows his true colors. Next up is the Jewish-centered episodes, giving us diversity in something that isn’t truly physical. We see him evolve during his bar-mitzvah, and during his grandma’s Shiva. Both times give us an accurate representation of Jewish beliefs, culture, and tradition. Of course, who could forget the gun plot, which gave kids a very important lesson on gun safety, and that it’s important to understand the dangers of unsafe handling.
Well-Known Ships: TJ, Jonah, Iris (I had to mention her somewhere. She honestly deserved better)
Tumblr media
Asher Angel, thank you for playing Jonah Beck. A bit oblivious, but still a great friend, an amazing musician, and our favorite Space Otter (aside from Gus).
The one that blew everyone away, not only because of it’s surprise reveal, but because of how it continued on for multiple episodes, was the panic attack plot. It gave kids with anxiety someone to relate to, and how even though it’s scary, there are ways that can help you overcome it. The bankrupt family one had a really long buildup (about ten episodes from 3x02), but they at least kind of brought it back with a few updates on the whole situation. As of right now, the Becks are in their own home, and hopefully, it stays that way. And finally, whilst not important, there were the many, many, MANY storylines revolving around Jonah’s (failed) dating life. Just look at the ship list for him!
Well-Known Ships: Andi, Cyrus, Amber, Libby (One ship is gay, two ships had good development, three ships were canon, all four ships start with J)
Tumblr media
Lilan Bowden, thank you for playing Bex Mack. Two completely different sides. One is rebellious, while the other is loving.
Honorable storylines included her family connections. We get to see her become more involved in Andi’s life, regrow her love with Bowie, and fix broken ties with Cece. She got to open up her own makeup store, she finally got over her ex, Gabriel. Now, after some hardships, she’s gotten married to our one and only Bowie.
Well-Known Ships: Bowie, Miranda (Before Miranda became a snake)
Tumblr media
Trent Garrett, thank you for playing Bowie Quinn, who is now Bowie Mack. Our rocking dad figure with a love for those closest to him.
His story started when he came into Andi’s life and immediately tried becoming a better father figure towards her. He reconnected with Bex, and became a guitar teacher at the music store. There were a few episodes where he was with Miranda, but that ship has sunken, because Bex is his one true love.
Well-Known Ships: Bex, Miranda
Tumblr media
Lauren Tom, thank you for playing Celia Mack. Our favorite non-grandma grandma, whose a little arrogant, but still a supportive family member of the Macks.
Her storylines are more of the supportive role, as one of her only main plot included the house selling one with Ham. However, she does play a larger role in the Chinese storylines, as she naturally has more knowledge of their traditions. Regardless, she has still evolved over the course of this series, and I’m glad she’s still here until the end.
Well-Known Ships: Ham (Yes, I mentioned him. The character was still good, even if the actor was not)
Tumblr media
Emily Skinner, thank you for playing Amber (last name unknown). Mean or nice, she has made her way into our hearts as one of our favorite characters.
Amber was always more of the jealous antagonist towards Andi. But as time went on, she became a better person and even one of Andi’s greatest allies. She also grew closer with Jonah, even after their breakup(s), because of their connection with families with money problems. She also grew closer with Cyrus and Buffy, though those two had less development with her. And because of her, I now know what a rage cage is.
Well-Known Ships: Jonah, Andi
Tumblr media
Garren Lake, thank you for playing Marty from the Party. A recurring character at most, but everyone was glad to see you return in the final season.
Marty was always a support to Buffy, and he never really got much development with anyone else. There was that small moment where he dated Rachel. He’s a talented runner, and a good friend. I wish there was more to say about his character, but running and Muffy was kind of all he was known for.
Well-Known Ships: Buffy
Tumblr media
Luke Mullen, thank you for playing TJ Kippen. Our sporty gay boy who has evolved from mean captain to soft buddy.
Even as a recurring character, TJ has been a great addition to the cast. His storyline of being gay hasn’t been mentioned yet, as of right now, but he’s earned quite the reputation of being the T in our Tyrus ship. But enough about that, he has great storylines with Buffy as well, growing close bonds with her as a friend, and with her helping him when he found out about his dyscalculia.
Well-Known Ships: Cyrus, Buffy (that was more of an Instagram ship, though)
Tumblr media
Raquel Justice, thank you for playing Kira. The character we all love to hate. It’s a shame you weren’t with us longer, but you’ve been amazing for the time being.
Kira’s plot were more Buffy and Cyrus based. She started off as kind of past Buffy in the present. Competitive and arrogant. Then she caught TJ and became a slight Cyrus rival. Good to mention that Amber, Andi’s rival, got redeemed. Buffy’s rival, TJ, also got redeemed. So here’s hoping that our Cyrus rival also gets a small redemption in the finale, even if it’s a minor one.
Well-Known Ships: N/A (Though Cyrus thought she was with TJ)
Tumblr media
Anson Bagley, thank you for playing Gus. He’s always been someone we loved, even if he was only here for decades at a time.
Gus was our favorite support character. He’s part of student court, he started a lunch riot when there were A and B groups, and he’s an honorary space otter. Not much else can be said, except that he’s quirky and awkward. For that, he’s one of our favorites.
Well-Known Ships: N/A (Unless you count the millions of crackships)
Tumblr media
And finally, we have the best for last. Thank you Terri Minsky, for creating the show we all know and love. I never saw Lizzie McGuire as a kid, and now that I’m a teen, it’s nice to have an idea of what kind of show that was. You’ve broken so many stereotypes with your show, and I’m hoping you make something great for the next generation.
I remember joining this after season 1 had ended, and I binged the entire season because it was just too good. Andi Mack is my favorite show, and I’m sad it’s now over, but regardless, it was the best thing I could ever watch. It seems like Disney is making a comeback with good shows (mainly cartoons), but I’m excited to see what they make next.

ASOUE SEASON 3, Part 2
There are some things that I enjoy, some things that bug me, and some of those things that bug me are thing I do enjoy but i have to question regardless. The post grew so long I’m cutting it into two parts, and frankly this covers The PP and The End (part one won’t be linking because idk what Tumblr did with that update with links).. We are in the second half of the season, and boy, do I have a lot of hot opinions! Most of it it’s under the read more to not cog the tags.
Frank, Ernest, and Dewey: I feel so validated my theory of Dewy was talking to the Baudelaires last and pretending to be Frank or Ernest is confirm...here at least! Speaking of them, I think Frank was the first one the Baudelaires talk too, then Ernest talk second. In the first convo, Frank or Ernest was Serious and To the Point, and Frank (confirm in book it’s Frank)) was like that with Violet. In the second convo, Frank or Ernest was Friendly and Emotional with his words, and Ernest (confirm in book it’s Ernest) was being a bit cheeky with Klaus and humorous when lassoing Larry Your Waiter up (RIP). Sorry about your brother you two... but boy the shot Dewy floating in the water looks beautiful.
I think the show was trying to pull a red herring that Kit was ‘evil’ due her asking Dewy to give Frank her regards because no one knows about the unicorn that is Dewy.
Lack of Sir and Charles/Switching roles/The JS Debate: I learned beforehand Charles’ actor couldn’t make it to filming so they had to rewrite him out. Didn’t expect to get rid of Sir (granted, I hear Sir’s actor is like..expense to get back or something and season one was lucky to get him). Still, nice to see that they were able to get Jerome to fill in his (kinda) canon role and Charles. Also, are Charles and Jerome together? That’s a great step up Jerome! Also, nice to know Babs and Miss Bass are together (man I wonder how the in-laws will react to that). I think what really threw me into the loop is that the Netflix Show made JS, the person behind it all, to be Justice Strauss with others JS helps. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the book had ‘JS’ be anonymous as not even Justice Strauss or Jerome knew who is the real JS since they thought it was meet for them (with theories saying it’s Lemony pretending to his brother and the taxi driver in the PP is him. Thanks Netflix for actually confirming the taxi driver part). Didn’t mind Nero being with Esme. I like that (they didn’t show the report who name I freaking forgot. Guess that says something).
At the Opera Tonight & (Lack Of) Bertrand : Hey, Netflix...Olaf’s parents death was A HIT MURDER by Beatrice, The Snickets (Kit and maybe Lemony if 13 Secrets is valid, who know about Jacques), and most importantly, BERTRAND. The books made it clear both were involved in some way or form. In fact, the lack of Bertrand is so insulting. Lemony may not say talk about him too much, but damn it, Lemony liked and respect Bertrand and never hold a grudge. Lemony in the show is the same, just less because the writers really did put more of an emphasis on Beatrice as the Lost Lenore and true OTP (????). In fact, why did the Opera events paint the noble side of VFD good with the accidental death? It was hit, and everyone was guilty and not free of sin. Here though, they are guilty as hell but free of sin as ‘it was an accident’. Well, since Bertrand wasn’t involve in the events here...the guy is actually innocent and free of sin good job Bertrand you don’t have blood on your hand (this sounds like sarcasm but it’ not). Also. you a handsome man.
Personal Headcanon That I Will Never Let Go Now Due to the Above Nonsense: Olaf’s parents were part of VFD, and were sympathetic to the fire starting side of schism, but overall close to neutral (Olaf didn’t and will never know, and book implies the schism wasn’t bad until after Olaf did his thing to frame Lemony for the crimes), due to their positions of society as aristocracy, a father in a high government related job (thanks Netflix for making Dad the Chief of the Official Fire Department it almost lines up perfectly) and mother as A-List Theater Performer. They managed to get a faster reunion when Olaf is 17 (Lemony, Olaf, and a few others are supposed to be the same age while the other siblings are older by a few years, and 18 seems to be the legal age of becoming an adult in this world). The three were at the opera for their first time reunion, and Beatrice and Bertrand were given the task on getting rid of them, and they thought ‘oh this will be easy’ because Kit was helping to deal with Esme and they succeeds. They were about to celebrate and leave when they hear Olaf and see him running to his dead parents (they have no idea he was there. If Lemony was involve, then they did knew but used Lemony as a distraction to make sure Oalf won’t witness the deed. As to why Olaf as to see the body? Because seeing a body adds extra fuel to people waiting revenge). Olaf is still on the noble side at this point (if barely), and he doesn’t know the truth until later, after somehow losing the family fortune and a switch to the fire starting side. Incompetent banking may or may not be involve.
Hotel Denouement (Fire): Bit upset the sign isn’t written backwards, but hell, I want to stay there regardless!!! Also, I like how the show kept most of the fates a mystery expect Justice Strauss (how did she get down from the roof). The books implies Mr. Poe will die another night, so ergo in Netflix Show Mr. Poe and oddly enough, Vice Principal Nero of all people, survive as well. Thanks Nero for saving Mr. Poe for his offscreen date in the future. Side topic, but my headcanon in the books is (excluding Mr. Poe as his is given) Esme, Ernest, Hal, Hugo and Colette and Kevin survived. Those that made it out but died due to fire related injures later on (within a day or a week) would be  Frank, Jerome, Charles, Sir, Nero and the Teachers, and Carmelita. Everyone else is 100% dead (guess I got to change my 100% dead Justice Strauss status lol). The choices were pick due to drama (Esme cares for Carmelita and would be 100% heartbroken to see her die after the two made it out. For Frank and Ernest, I figure losing one brother would change their hostile relationship to a reluctant team up to get out of the fire together. Frank, being noble, gets Ernest out first resulting getting injuries and dying later, leaving Ernest all alone. Sir and Charles were still holding hands when they got out, but Sir died first and Charles went next due to a broken heart) or luck (Hal survived one fire already; I want Hugo, Colette, and Kevin to catch a good break).
I cried when the ending happened that song f*** me up so bad like things could have been different and happy but I’m stuck in misery and woe.
THE END/VFD AND SCHISM: I HATE THIS EPISODE SO FREAKING MUCH. Well, the Island parts (lol the red herring of Beatrice II being Sunny just by wanting to be call by her last name). They cut characters stuff with Friday (and her mother), the mutiny (that was the best part!!!)...almost all the stuff that made The End good! Also, wtf was with the BS of Ishmael making VFD? Like, I like how he was the Principal, that I can accept. But I got the impression, and it was actually implied, it been around for a long time before Ishmael was even born. He made it sound like a book club for the prestigious good people that are rich and bored. Newsflash Netflix: IT’S NOT.  Kit flat out mentions that the schism started when she was four, and it only got worse when her generation came. In fact, the schism only got worse when Olaf went after Lemony, making it the schism everyone knows today. The way the show paints it...it’s the pettiness form of petty and revenge and actually revenge I would like normally but I hate it in the context. I have more, but I’m be making a post about it...a (crack-ish/shitpost comparison of sorts you will of sorts. All I can say is the the White Face women are younger than they look or lost their family and sister in a fire while in their 20′s or 30′s (Ishmael and the Man with Beard but no Hair and Woman with hair but no Beard and Co -> Lemony and Co aka Schism start at teenage/young adult years -> Baudelaires and Co).
Honestly the good stuff was Sunny thinking of pushing Olaf overboard, and the whole thing leading up to Olaf and Kit’s death I cried so much.
Chapter 14: Okay, I’m a sucker for a happy ending after so much crap happened. Lemony and Beatrice II found family again (if for a short time), Fiona and Fernald got a Pushing Daisies ending when Captain Widdershins shows up (referring to Emerson Cod’s reunion with his daughter), Quigley reuniting with his stock footage siblings + Hector, the Troupe having a happy ending fulling their dream, and IDV maybe making it to the the islanders in time. Do I admit that the whole point of their ‘last appearance’ with the Great Unknown (or IDV just disappearing) is to give a message that you can’t always know what happens and mysteries are still out there (imo). Yes, but again, I’m a sucker for happy endings, so I’m fine either way. Also, in Season One there was a narration of Lemony with a very tiny Self Sustaining ship in the BG. Since we know Lemony is actually narrating from the future...it’s a given the Quagmire and Hector would survive. It’s a blink and you miss, but it’s there. So yeah, while everything else could be chalk up as a fake happy ending imagine by Lemony and/or Beatrice II, the Quagmire Triplets and Hector were given a happy fate from the start! Okay, I guess they still need to come down at some point but...
I would watch the PP episodes, but never the End unless I want to make myself angry.

I have had absolutely way too much excitement and way too many surprises this week and today specifically like I’m not going to live to see 2019 at this rate because the universe has decided to give me every single fandom-related thing I've ever even idly wished for in one month and the sheer joy is about to kill me
Promised Neverland is getting an anime next year, literally announced like a day or two after I told a friend I thought it was too early to even hope it might get one
this was announced months ago but Young Justice is getting a new season next year after being literally cancelled a couple years ago and I will never stop being happy about that ever
this isn’t news from this month either technically but Darksiders 3 got made after the studio that made it went under or whatever and I HAVE IT and it’s GREAT I’m still so excited it actually got made
BNHA is getting season 4 next year
Haikyuu and BNHA both are on what’s shaping up to be two of my favorite manga arcs ever my fave boys are e verywher e and I’m loving it every single week is an utter delight and brings me so much happiness
(re: above thing: Shinsou showing up and actually having a fighting style similar to Aizawa’s and finally being actually considered for transfer to one of the hero classes I know that’s old news by now but it still makes me so happy I love my baby boy and I’m so happy for him)
they’re actually making a Haikyuu stage play centered around the Tokyo qualifiers matches that all by itself is enough to make me combust on the spot when they announced the entire Karasuno cast retiring and stuff I wished and wished but I didn’t actually dare to hope BUT THEY’RE ACTUALLY DOING IT there’s going to be a whole fricking stage play revolving around Nekoma and Fukurodani AND AKAASHI AND IT WAS ALL I COULD DO NOT TO START SCREAMING AT WORK I CAN’T BELIEVE THEY’RE ACTUALLY DOING IT GOD BLESS ENGEKI HAIKYUU FOR NEVER EVER LETTING ME DOWN
Haikyuu compilation movies are finally available online yes I know they’re just recaps of anime episodes but Crunchyroll release means official translations for the included bonus scenes finally
HAIKYUU SEASON FOUR HAS BEEN CONFIRMED AFTER 800 YEARS IT’S ACTUALLY CONFIRMED I know there’s no official release date yet but I literally could not care less I don’t care how long it takes I just needed to know it was actually going to happen in this lifetime I could literally cry rn like all of the screeching and flailing and keyboard smashing is never ever going to convey how utterly over the moon ecstatic I am right now ABOUT EVERYTHING BUT ESPECIALLY THIS I think if I hear one more piece of good or exciting news my heart is literally going to stop on the spot I cannot handle even one more thing I will just die
this month - this week is everything I’ve ever wanted smooshed together into one very short length of time HAPPY FRICKING BIRTHDAY TO ME

Multichapter Complete Recs
Hello Captain Swan Fandom, this is a list of some COMPLETE Multichapter fics. Some are old, some are new but they are all a delight to read! So, let’s show some love to this talanded writers for their fantastic works.  Hope you enjoy! 🧡 📚✒
If you are intrested you can find my other lists here.
A Cold Awakening, @swanderful1
Modern crime AU. Twenty years have gone by since Storybrooke was shaken to the core by a gruesome crime that went unsolved. Sheriff David Nolan and his partner, daughter Emma are forced to revisit the crime. At the same time, Killian Jones and his older brother Liam have been drawn back to the town they had longed to never see again, struggling to find their own answers. As taunting notes and clues show up they are taken on a journey to finally bring justice for the Jones family. And Emma Nolan finds herself caught in a situation more dangerous than she could have ever imagined.
Tripping Over the Blue Line,@welllpthisishappening
It’s a transition. That’s what Emma’s calling it. She’s transitioning from one team to another, from one coast to another and she’s definitely not worried. Nope. She’s fine. Really. She’s promised Mary Margaret ten times already. So she got fired. Whatever. She’s fine, ready to settle into life with the New York Rangers. She’s got a job to do. And she doesn’t care about Killian Jones, captain of the New York Rangers. At all.
He’s done. One more season and he’s a free agent and he’s out. It’s win or nothing for Killian. He’s going to win a Stanley Cup and then he’s going to stop being the face of the franchise and he’s going to go play for some other garbage team where his name won’t be used as puns in New York Post headlines. That’s the plan. And Emma Swan, director of New York Rangers community relations isn’t going to change that. At all.
The Reason, @xemmaloveskillianx
The three of them share a laugh before they all look to Emma. She has yet to comment on the new addition because she isn’t sure what to say. She usually doesn’t like change, they have a good thing going there, just the four of them. Plus, they all know him and she doesn’t, but she trusts their judgement, and she’s sure any brother of Liam can’t be all that bad. So, with a shrug and a smile she says, “Welcome to Storybrooke, Killian Jones.”
If Looks Could Kill, @wellhellotragic
Emma Swan is a dedicated FBI agent getting over a bad breakup. When she and her partner, Ruby Lucas, are forced to go undercover as contestants on a reality show, Emma is forced to try and win the affections of Killian Jones, a man she despises.
Killian Jones is a lost boy. Having recently been nicknamed the ‘Bad Boy of Boston,’ he’s been living up to his moniker using women and rum to avoid dealing with his dark past. When he’s forced to take the lead in a reality show, he encounters a gorgeous blonde who turns his world upside down.
Rated M for language, and possible smut later on.
Miss Congeniality meets The Bachelor
The Darling Affair, @icecubelotr44
Ex-military officer Killian Jones has never forgiven the Gold family for what they took from him. But when his path searching for justice (and maybe revenge) leads him straight to Emma Swan, a social worker who’s young charge has just been kidnapped by Malcolm Gold, he might just learn to let go of the past.
Traveling the Open Roads of Us, @imhookedonaswan
Emma Nolan and Killian Jones have been best friends ever since first grade, so when it comes time to travel across the country for college, it’s only natural that they would make it a road trip as it’s their last chance to spend together before their schools start. Could driving across the US, through corn fields and deserts, bring any changes for these two?
Freaky Friday, @msgenevieve447
Realising you’ve packed the wrong shoes to go with your skirt and you have to rethink your whole outfit is bad enough. Being holed up in a hotel bathroom while you get changed into said outfit because you’re suddenly sharing your room with a strange British man is a whole lot worse.
Drowning is Too Late to Learn, @accio-ambition
Bouncing around with her son for the majority of her life, Emma Swan has told herself she’s happy in the city. It’s where the most camera operating jobs are, and that’s how she makes her money. But when an old friend calls her and asks for her help on a new project in small town Maine, Emma finds herself in a place she’s never been with people she doesn’t know filming a profession she knows nothing about. But with the captain of the ship she’s filming begins taking a keen interest in her and her life, she finds herself wondering whether she might just catch something other than fish. Deadliest Catch AU
Flirting, Fraud, and Other Bar Crimes, @emmakillianfan
Emma Swan just wants to do her job and go home to her apartment alone, but her friends have other things in mind. How far will she go to avoid their blind date offers? And how can a guy she met at a bar help her find real happiness while helping her avoid their matchmaking? Rated M for language and sexual themes.
Vidders Anonymous, @mryddinwilt
Captain Swan, modern AU. Emma and Killian are Youtubers who discover each other through their Youtube channels. Some long distance misunderstandings, angst, and eventual IRL meeting. There is even a lovely playlist to listen to while you read!
To Every Thing a Season, @icecubelotr44
After witnessing the tragic murder of his brother Liam, Killian Jones is more determined than ever to discover the secrets of time travel. Fast-tracking his education at Storybrooke University, Killian is assigned a lab assistant, one Emma Swan. Together, they find a way to break through the veil of time so Killian can set things right. But what will be the price for changing the past, and is it one they’re willing to pay?
Back to the Beginning, @xhookswenchx
After an ugly divorce, Emma Swan moves back to Storybrooke. She doesn’t particularly want to move back to her childhood home, but she has nowhere else to go. Still grieving from her most recent loss, she now finds herself haunted by a past she was determined to leave behind.
Thank God It’s Friday,  @curiousthingdarkness
Killian Jones is left unemployed when his brother Liam dies and their business falls apart. He takes a job at a local supermarket until he can get back on his feet but he hates it. That is until he starts serving a beautiful blonde every Friday. (Modern CS AU)
With Affection, @phiralovesloki
Emma Swan isn’t a middle schooler. So why is she receiving notes from a secret admirer? She’s also definitely not a romantic person. So why is she writing back? Modern!AU, Captain Swan, with side orders of Snowing and Frankenwolf. Updated with additional epilogues.
When The Tide Turns, @trueloveseyeroll
The plan was to go to England, finish the case and head back home in a matter of days. Of course, nothing in Emma’s life ever goes according to plan. Not only does she end up travelling across Europe, looking for a Liam Jones in order to finish her case, she ends up travelling with Liam’s brother - an annoyingly handsome Killian Jones. And she doesn’t trust him one bit.
The Con, @captainswanluver
Killian Jones is a con man who swindles wealthy women out of their money. Emma Swan is an heiress and owner of a security firm. Killian settles on Emma as his next mark.
Accidentally My Ass, @ilovemesomekillianjones
Based on this prompt - BOSS: Know why I called you in here? ME: Because I accidentally sent you a dick pic BOSS: (stops pouring two glasses of wine) Accidentally?
Across the Sea, @thejollypirate
The unintentional, unpleasant  Killian Jones, lead singer and guitarist of The Ruthless Pirates, meets with the blonde stranger who is apparently his manager’s friend, doesn’t stop him from starting a special bond with her while he has the chance. Long distance relationship AU.
Turning Page, @cutieodonoghue
au; the kingdom of misthaven’s prince killian jones is on the hunt for a bride. enter emma swan, and a whole slew of women from all over the land, in a massive dating game in the middle of building turmoil with the dark one and evil queen. captain swan. (loosely based on the selection by kiera cass)
Every Letter, @bleebug
A pen pal writing assignment connects a young Emma Swan with her best friend Killian Jones. Life sends many hardships their way, but their friendship remains solid through the years. As they both grow older and begin to realize what they want out of life, will their letters be enough?
Rum and Cupcakes, @the-girl-in-the-band-tshirt
When a bookstore moves in across the street from Emma Swan’s cupcake bakery, she thinks there’s no way she’ll ever get along with the new business owner. The new shop owner disagrees.

Tyquan Robinson’s Forbes #Under30 Pitch
After graduating from the private educational institution, ASA College of Excellence, with an Associate's in Occupational Studies for Business Administration-Accounting during the summer of 2017, Tyquan “Tikey” Robinson has quickly elevated into one of the most innovative and crafty individuals in the business world of New York City. At the age of 22, Robinson is projected to become one of the youngest individuals to join the Forbes: Under 30 list in the Social Entrepreneurs category. His unique approach to business, along with his rare resources has shaped him as a future Hip-Hop mogul in the making.
With his hands in several sports, media and entertainment ventures, he has created a sense of community in not just his hometown of Far Rockaway, NY, but also other communities throughout the Queens and Kings counties of New York City.
Here are all of the ways Robinson has developed, and is currently developing his personal and business assets.
Trooper Tikey
Even though Robinson elevated from his humble beginnings of producing music during high school, it is the least of his concern and grossing income. Hip-Hop artists do not make as much money as they did off of music at one point in time — but Robinson has taken a unique approach to the music business world; with the brand of Trooper Tikey, currently evolving him into the super-producer he is today. Trooper Tikey has made ends meet as an entertainer and independent artist, taking advantage of social media marketing tools through popular social networking apps, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram; whilst distributing music through free online music streaming platforms like Soundcloud, Spinrilla and Bandcamp. The music content is what turned heads and created several networking opportunities for the young entertainer, landing him a freelance job as a record producer and studio engineer at the professional recording studio Signature Soundz, and has also gotten him numerous event hosting gigs. His musical brand has also landed him joint ventures with the music distribution company Distrokid, where he receives 100% of his music royalties, with an endorsement from the music streaming company Spotify. He has also partnered with a non-profit social justice organization The Rockaway Youth Task Force, for two promotional music videos to spread awareness about the organization in the past. Robinson stated that he has been making music money off of music since the age of 18, by engineering recording sessions from his home with a $250 recording set his mother bought him for his 16th birthday. He claims that the recording set is still his most important asset, even upgrading it with an expensive $300 Blue brand microphone he received as a gift from his former studio engineer and mentor Castro. Robinson has since used musical talents as his main source of leverage in urban culture, and the Hip-Hop business world.
Tumblr media
Degenerate Entertainment/Young Kings Entertainment
In the fall season of 2015, Robinson achieved his high school dreams of starting his own record label during his first semester of college. He was given an assignment in his Introduction to Business class, which required him to create a business plan in the field of business he would like to pursue, which just so happened to be the music industry. Robinson researched and gained inspiration from some of the most successful "artist owned" music brands such as Shawn "Jay Z" Carter's Roc Nation and Aubrey "Drake" Graham's OVO Sound. He admired how the two companies were able to become brands bigger than "just music", and how they were able to adapt to today's music industry so efficiently. Even though Robinson felt these companies were flawless, he felt like there could be a way to be more innovative and up-to-date with today's music industry.
Robinson later invested into the music distribution company Distrokid, after reading about the company in a Forbes article during his business class. He was curious to learn how the company was able to "cut out the middle man" and ship music from independent artists straight to any music streaming platform in a matter of hours, while promising artists 100% of the music royalties they make off of streaming. Robinson tested the service out by paying a small fee of $19.99 per year, which guaranteed unlimited uploads to any online music stores and streaming platforms of his choice for one artist, along with monthly earnings. Robinson chose himself to market as the artist, releasing his single Watch Ya Back under the stage name Trooper Tikey, he only earned $1.09 in a span of a month, but was amazed to see how simple and efficient the service was. He later partnered with his best friend from high school, and frequent music collaborator Giovanni “KingYungGio” Gates to upgrade to the Musician Plus package for $35.99 per year, to form a joint venture and music collective by the name of DMYK, combining Robinson's Degenerate Militia brand and Gates' Young Kings brand for one big duo brand. The two released several singles under their separately operated independent record labels Degenerate Entertainment and Young Kings Entertainment.
Robinson and Gates currently operate as independent record labels and receive 100% of their music royalties every month for the money they make off of their music streams and music store purchases. They've have recently upgraded to the 10 artist record label package for $139.99 per year, where they can sign artists and offer them distribution deals through the online service, which handles distribution for both labels. The two have gone on to have sponsored pages on Spotify and Apple Music and curated playlists to help promote other independent artists on the same mission. At the current ages of 22 and 20, the two are bound to become future music moguls with the path they are on, along with the pace they are operating at.
Tumblr media
The SBC Network
Even though Robinson has elevated tremendously in the music world, his prior passion for sports still holds a special place in his heart. After graduating high school in 2014, Robinson began to volunteer as a photographer and videographer for his high school's football team, which he participated in junior varsity and varsity for during all four years of his education at the school. He believed that the lack of media outlets, along with bad grades was the main causes of the drought of student-athletes from the educational campus not being scouted and/or recruited by top-tier schools. Student-athletes from the campus began to gravitate towards this philosophy, and encouraged Robinson to continue his efforts. During these operations, Robinson was able to create a Facebook page with content such as in-game photos and highlights; he even shot and directed a campaign video to help with a fundraiser for the football team, which was able to support the team with new equipment and alternative jerseys with names on the back; something that the campus was not able to accomplish in over a decade. One senior also went on to commit to Division I school, Michigan State University, and later went on to play football for the institution. Robinson and the school saw the efforts as a success and continued to increase media efforts throughout the campus.
One year later, Robinson took on the position as an after school tutor for one of the high schools located in the Far Rockaway Educational Campus building, by the name of Queens High School for Information, Research and Technology. After realizing that a majority of the students lacked motivational factors, he began offering open gym time for basketball in exchange for academic efforts. The practice became successful, and he decided to enter some of the students a basketball tournament at a local community center in the neighborhood ran by the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation for their Jr. Knicks program. He later unintentionally volunteered as the coach for the team, which didn't go as planned, with the team losing every game, due to his lack of experience and knowledge for the game of basketball, but he was inspired by the potential of some of the players, and saw a bright future in developing student-athletes in both, football and basketball.
In the fall of 2017, Robinson developed The SBC Network brand, which was originally formed to increase the media exposure of student-athletes.  He began to produce several sports-related media content through his personal social media platforms for various high school, college and little league sports teams. Various student-athletes from all over the city began to gravitate towards the brand, and Robinson saw it as an opportunity to officially tap into the sports business. He took tips from Shawn "Jay Z" Carter's Roc Nation Sports division and began to hand-pick specific athletes from all different levels of competition to promote, later offering verbal contracts to athletes looking to find alternative routes for their passion of sports. He produced several sports-related media content through his personal social media platforms for athletes who corresponded with his vision, while being an independent contractor for athletes who just needed temporary services, but did not want to participate in the company's efforts. He later took on jobs to participate as an temporary employee for several NYC based basketball events sponsored by online sports broadcasting company, Baller TV.
Robinson soon expressed his interest to form his own sports teams. He formed an AAU basketball team, called Team Fame, in collaboration with his cousin Tariq Robinson, to prepare student-athletes for high school, collegiate and pro level basketball. He recently showed support for Lavar Ball and the Big Baller Brand's Junior Basketball Association, encouraging his AAU participates to chase their dreams as early as they can, even if it doesn't involve playing in college. Robinson also advocated to bring a semi-pro football team by the name of the Rockaway Neptunes to his hometown of Far Rockaway. He received co-signs from important stakeholders such as City Council member Donovan Richards of the District 31 community, who Robinson was a former unpaid intern of, and members of the community who believed a sports team could bring pride, spirit, traffic and profit to the city of Far Rockaway. The team is expected to have their inaugural season in the American 7s Football League, in the Spring of 2020. Robinson's sports ventures are guaranteed to be some of his biggest entities in years to come.
Tumblr media
Other Ventures
Robinson does not seem like he plans on slowing down anytime soon, and considering his somewhat youthful age of 22, he is not expected to. He participated in several other business projects and partnerships that have also helped solidify his title as a future mogul.
• Cloudgunk
Robinson has endorsed the online cloud storage company Cloudgunk. They have recently released a commercial featuring his single "Clouds" and currently have a commercial starring Robinson in the works.
Tumblr media
• Distrokid
Robinson has partnered with Distrokid to provide distribution deals for up and coming independent artists through his Degenerate Entertainment label.
He has reportedly already signed five artists to the label, which consists of rapper/producer Lil Mizfit, his half-brother/rapper LA Rio, cousin/rapper GP Dopeboy, and two female artists, a rapper by the name of Ressie Monae and singer by the name of Lexee.
Tumblr media
• Sony
Robinson has gravitated towards Sony, due to the influence of the company on his life, owning manufactured Sony products such as the PlayStation 4, a pair of Sony studio headphones and a Sony credit card. He currently holds stocks in the company.
Tumblr media
• Nissan
Robinson recently financed a Nissan Altima towards the end of March 2018, right before his 22nd birthday. He has since supported the company fully and promotes it as the perfect first car. He plans on investing stocks in the company soon and plans on becoming a brand ambassador for the company.
Tumblr media
• The Child Center of New York
In 2015, Robinson began working as an employee for the non-profit agency The Child Center of New York, where he operates as a student mentor for Queens HS for Information, Research & Technology, which is the high school he graduated from. It is currently his biggest and most reliable income, helping him rake it $25,000 annually. His contract was renewed for another three years in the beginning of 2018.
