Mouse - part one

Summary: Maggie Shelby isn’t like her brothers or sister, being quiet and studious she often struggles to fit in. When money gets stolen and she is accused will she stick around and continue to be outcast in her family?

A/N: this is my first fic ever and im nervouss! l love reading peaky blinder fics and thought i’d give it a go. I plan on this being a series loosely based between series 3 and 4, loosely because I haven’t watched the series in a while and it won’t follow every single event. In this chapter we can see her close relationship with John, my fave Shelby boy :))

It was undeniable that Maggie - or Mags, as kept John insisting- was in fact a Shelby. While Finn could perhaps be mistaken with his ginger hair, inherited from their mother’s side, Maggie could almost be Ada’s or Tommy’s twin with her dark curls and blue eyes. While her appearance screamed SHELBY, her attitude whispered it. Maggie wasn’t loud like Arthur or confident like John. Nor was she determined like Tommy nor rebellious like Ada. And she certainly couldn't have fun like her twin. Maggie was a mouse in the Shelby zoo: uninteresting and forgettable. The way she liked it. For Maggie, if she could spend the day in her room, reading books and being out of the way from her family’s ruckus below, it was a day well spent.

Of course this never sat well with her family, least of all John who was no doubt the most outgoing brother. John was undeniably her favourite brother, but right now as he dragged Maggie around the market, the one they’ve spent hours at already, she couldn’t help but wonder why she favoured him. The sound of her feet stumbling were drowned out by the bustle of deals and bargaining. Her vision blocked by the numerous products shoved in her face by the vendors. The maze cleared finally when John stopped at another stall.

His lips pursed, the toothpick that Maggie hated jutted out as his eyes scanned the products in front of him. It wasn’t long before he huffed and turned to Maggie who he noticed was distracted by a scuffle between two young boys. He flicked her neck and muttered “You gonna help me pick or what?” Maggie brought her fingers to ease the slight pain in her neck and frowned at John, “She’s your wife John, shouldn’t you know what she likes?” Her eyes flickered on the assortment of jewellery in front of her. She scrunched her nose up. The glitter of the jewels gave her no interest and it was clear John felt the same.

“I know fuck all, Mags, i just know Esme likes shiny shit, and it’s your job to pick something she likes enough to get me out of the doghouse, eh?” He wiped his brow. Maggie stared at her brother, feeling annoyed that he dragged her out here, from her very busy schedule of staying in her room to make this decision, something he could easily do. “So if I pick something, I can go back to the house and you’ll leave me alone?” John smirked at her, raised one eyebrow and nodded once. With a new determination, Maggie took a closer look at the array in front of her, trying to decide if Esme would prefer a ring or a necklace. “What did you even do?” She asked her eyes stilling on one ring in particular, a thick gold band with a dull black stone- one of the simple ones among the shine of gems. When John didn’t answer she turned to him with the ring in her hand, “Doesn’t matter,” he shrugged, and Maggie rolled her eyes. He frowned at the ring she chose.“That’s fucking ugly.”

Her mouth opened with shock, “You asked me to pick, John!” She cried in defense. He took the ring from her and studied it closer, he smirked again before saying “Fuck sake, Arthur would have been better at this!” This made Maggie frown further and cross her arms, she resisted stomping her feet, remembering his constant teasing when she did it the last time.

“Don’t get it then.” She huffed.

“Nope, I’m getting it,” John grinned, “and when Esme hates it and kicks me out, I can come and annoy you all day because it's your fault that you picked such an ugly ring.” Maggie pouted as John handed it to the vendor, who in turn placed it in a paper bag and accepted the coins handed to her. While she was annoyed that John bought it, she couldn't help but feel relief that they would now leave the market.

As John led her away through the stalls, this time letting her walk without his hand gripping her arm, Maggie couldn’t help lingering by a stall selling beautiful leather journals. She watched the seller show one off to a smartly dressed man- something hard to come by in Small Heath- flicking through the blank pages and letting him feel the luxurious cover. Maggie sighed dreamily, while the jewellery didn’t hold her attention, these books certainly did, wishing she owned one since her last birthday, although she was too scared to ask due to the impressive price tag attached.

“You want anything Mags?” The hand John placed on her back made her jump, she looked at him and shook her head to say no, letting John to guide her in the direction of the house, allowing herself one last glance at the stall.

Maggie had managed to avoid everyone the next day, in favour of finishing her latest novel and studying from her school books. The sandwich that her Aunt Polly had made her for lunch stayed half eaten and forgotten next to her on her desk as the afternoon turned to evening. Maggie was so engrossed in her arithmetic book- the subject she favoured and excelled at- that she didn’t hear her door open behind her, with footsteps following. “I think you’re the only Shelby who’d rather fucking do schoolwork than drink a whiskey with the rest of us, Mags.” She jumped in her seat and gasped at the interruption, huffing at the ink she spilled on the page. “Well, I don’t like whiskey John.” Her brother stumbled back, placing one hand on his chest, the other hidden behind his back. “Fuck’s sake, you might as well rip my heart out and stomp on it.” Maggie rolled her eyes at her brother's antics and tried to hide the smile that only John could rise from her.

“Did Esme kick you out? Is that why you’re bothering me again?” Maggie smirked cheekily at John. “Oi, watch yourself,” He pointed his finger at her, “actually Esme loved the ring and she was soo happy that she jumped right on top of me and-”

“Ah!” Maggie quickly put her hands to her ears, knowing the direction of the conversation, “Stop John! Stop talking right now!” Her brother grinned widely. He reached one hand to put her arms back down, “Since you picked the ring so well, I thought I’d get you a little reward.” Maggie eyed him skeptically, it wasn't often John gave thoughtful gifts. Normally the only ‘gifts’ he gave her were spiders on her bed or salt in her water. John’s other hand appeared from behind his back and he shoved a rectangular shaped package into Maggie’s lap. “What is it?” Her tone held only suspicion. Her fingers smoothed over the paper wrapping. At John’s nod of encouragement she carefully pulled at the wrapping until it came apart. The paper crinkled as she pushed it away to reveal a leather book she immediately recognised. Her mouth parted, fingers dancing over the high quality of the pages. “You know, most people would be saying thank you by now…” John knew when he saw Maggie ogling the book stall that this gift would be appreciated, however, what he didn’t expect was his sister to bound into him for the tightest hug he thought he’d ever receIved. It wasn’t a common occurrence for Maggie to initiate any sort of affection- leaving him and Arthur to treat her as if she was a doll and they were little five-year old girls. Knowing this, he quickly returned the embrace with an equal amount of force. “You like it then Mags?”

“Like it? John this is the best thing I’ve ever been given...thank you!” John chuckled and couldn’t wait the gloat to the rest of his brothers. “But, it.. It must have cost a fortune John.” John pulled back from the hug and saw the worry in his sister’s eyes. “Yeah, well we don’t have to worry about that anymore, eh? The Shelby’s can afford to buy a hundred of them books and then a hundred more.” He put a gentle hand on her shoulder, “You want something you just gotta ask, right?” She nodded but John rolled his eyes knowing she wouldn’t ask for anything. He removed his hands and went to leave her room.

“You know what this means though?” Maggie looked up from the new book at John who stood by the door. She frowned in confusion and shook her head, “No, what does this mean?”

John grinned. “It means that since I bought you this very nice present, I’m allowed to bother you as much as I like and you have to do exactly what I tell you until.. Well, until forever.” John left the room before Maggie could even comprehend what he said.

“What?” She said in disbelief, “That is not what that means!” She called out and when John did not respond her eyes widened, “John? That’s not what it means!”

John chuckled to himself and finished walking down the stairs, looking forward to bugging his sister again tomorrow to find another apology gift for Esme.

Dream SMP headcannons|| 🍃

before i start i just wanna say these headcannons WILL follow the storyline, meaning stuff like family SBI are not going to be in here.

(seriously guys stop saying Tommy is Philza’s kid. Its been stated multiple times that Phil is not Tommy’s dad. It is lore, cannon. Found family can work for Wilbur and Tommy, BUT THEY ARE NOT RELATED.)

- While Kristin (Phil’s wife) is not stated to be canon in the DSMP lore, i think she is the Angel of Life. For death shall never consume her, and she shall always bring life and happiness wherever she goes.

- Opposite to Kristin, Phil is the Angel of Death. For life is always on his side, and he shall never succumb to that fate. Although he is a loving and kind man, he will, without hesitation take your life if he see’s fit.

- Both of they’re jobs include:

Phil:

He’s in charge of leading people to they’re ultimate fate (and also transporting they’re souls to the afterlife). If your a kind; loving person with a heart of gold, your death shall be peaceful and serene.

On the other side, if you were... lets say someone like Dream. A manipulative tyrant, trying to get everything you want, even if that means manipulating his own son Phil shall make sure your death will be one for the history books.

Kristin:

She’s in charge of leading people to a new start (transporting them to they’re new dimension to start a life). She always asks questions that would best suite you, and tells you about the different dimensions and all the creatures you can be.

If you end up with a bad life; and do not deserve it, she will absolutely try her best to make things right. Take Ranboo; he deserves none of what he’s getting, so she set up opportunities such as Micheal or the Antarctic Commune for him!!

Although if she does not like you; her angel will come after you, and beware, death is quick.

- Techno has 3 forms, Full Piglin, Hybrid, and Human! His favorite is his Piglin form, as he thinks it suits him the best. Although, he uses his Human form the most as its more easy to do things in. Although there have been a couple occasions where Phil steps into Tech’s house, only to see a giant Piglin cuddling with a polar bear

- I can never decide if i like Tanuki (Raccoon)! Tommy more, or Winged! Tommy more, so have headcannons about both:

Tanuki Tommy:

- Tanuki’s can shapeshift! He likes to use his powers on a daily basis, whether its trolling some of his friends, or getting into fights

- He has a natural connection with leaves, since they resemble transformation! Because of this he has a small collection of leaves; as well as a bracelet with a cute little leaf charm!

- He loves Sam Nook because Sam Nook, like Tommy, is also Tanuki! They get along quite well!

- Tommy’s tail is super fluffy, and quite big. You can often find Tommy walking down Prime Path with his huge tail swinging back and forth, as he hums a tune he likes to call “The Able Sisters”

- His ears are also surprisingly fluffy as well, although currently the only one allowed to touch them are Tubbo. As well as this, like most Tanukis he has a little pattern on his face that looks like a mask!

- Whenever Tommy is upset he goes into his full tanuki form; he basically looks like this:

and whenever this happens, he always scurries off to Tubbo, and proceeds to be clingy. Days like this often end up with Tommy asleep (PLATONICALLY) cuddling with Tubbo. How cute :]

Winged Tommy:

- Tommy’s wings have never fully developed. This is because when he learned that Wilbur had wings, but were cut off, he binded his own out of respect for Wilbur

- Whenever he’s happy, his wings involuntarily will flap!! This is always a tell tale sign that Tommy’s excited, happy, ect!

- His wings are white! They have no symbols, just pure white, semi-fluffy wings

- Even if he never binded his wings, he would still never know how to fly or properly take care of them. As his parents abandoned him at the young age of 4.

- Speaking of which, Tubbo was abandoned at 5. The reason Tubbo and Tommy are so close is because while adventuring, they stumbled upon eachother and have been inseparable ever since

- Wilbur, did in fact, have wings. But as payment for L’manburg, Dream cut them off and kept them. This is one of the first events that caused Wilbur to go insane

- Eret hosts pride parades for the server! They always like to look stylish and gaudy; so if you see him in a ball gown with tons of jewelry; know its that time of year!

- George is actually a witch! Although he’s a baby witch, he wants to learn the art of potion brewing. This has also led to many cottage explosions, much to his dismay

- Whenever Sapnap gets angry, he flames up, completely engulfed in flames. He basically looks like the shape of a human but... well... fire. Because of this, its been advised people carry a small spray bottle with water, just in case.

- Skeppy taught Sapnap how to swear, much to Bad’s dismay.

- Antfrost was the first person to know Sapnap liked Quackity and Karl. The only reason Sapnap told him first is because he knew Ant wouldn’t judge him

- Puffy is called ‘Mother Puffy’ by the rest of the badlanders. ‘Grandmother Puffy’ by Sapnap.

- Quackity had pastel yellow wings! He loves to fly around at dawn and sing while the sun comes up

- No one knows exactly what dream is, nor does anyone really want to...

- Tubbo is a goat, like Shclatt! (Dad!Shclatt anyone?)

- Whenever Tubbo gets excited, others often have to grip the base of his horns to calm him down.

- Ranboo has a tail and horns as well! Whenever upset, Ranboo swishes his tail around, similar to a cat.

- Sometimes Ranboo sleep talks, with often coming out as garbled endermen noises

- Fundy will never tell anyone, but his favorite food are berries

- Niki dyes her hair everymonth, nobody knows why but they cant say its not lovely!

- Sam has green freckles. Thats its thats the po-

- Everyone really likes Jack’s eyes, because they’re two different colors

- Phantommy has two different eye colors. One green, and the other purple and white, to resemble his discs.

- Phantommy also a heart stitched into his shirt/jacket. Its a green heart, with a smiley fave over it. To resemble the fact Dream took all of his (canon) lives.

- Ghostbur likes laying in fields with sheep, liking that they’re fluffy and good cuddle buddies.

- Whenever Eret is gone, Ghostbur and Friend are in charge of the castle. They have they’re own crowns and everything!

~Makeover time! [4/?]

A series 🙄 in which I take three sims from the first round of TS4 sims I ever made–created before I had every CC slider and skin detail in existence and prior to the (relative) refinement of my sim sculpting abilities–and fix ‘em up only by tweaking, pulling, and pushing; no preset-swapping here! Changes to skintones, skin details, hairstyles, and makeup are allowed where doing so would further bring the sims’ appearances more in line with my original intentions.

"[4/?]” because maybe there will be more some day :P

So I feel like I have to say that I’m not doing these makeovers to make my sims better looking, just in case you’re side-eyeing these.

This is the last round for now, three more brothers: Rocky (whose original version was in my recent 50s lookbook); Ace; and Jimmy.

Why does Jimmy not look at all like his brothers? Well, in their save, that very question was one of the ~continued issues~ in his parents’ tumultuous marriage.

Why does Jimmy now--and hear me out--why does the new Jimmy look vaguely like a young Tom Hanks? ikr!?

(I’ve played a full save with these three dummies so the writing beyond the cut is A. LOT. There are more pics there, too.)

Rocky is a favorite of mine but like so many of my early faves, his face... As you know, I am an incurable default skin swapper-outer and because of that he never looks consistent + he always looks a little unformed, a little cartoonish, on top of having a very unmanipulated, MM-style face to begin with. I think his makeover settles him somewhat so for right now I’ll take it. I can see myself returning him to his original form down the line, however, because it’s the one I know + he looks a bit too mature in his new version.

The day I made him, the first thing he did as soon as the lot loaded was fire up his gaming console and the second thing he did was rage quit the game he was playing; I was hooked. I wish him the best in my new save but I think he’s gonna have another hard road on account of being the uncontrolled emotions king! Shirking off work and then getting fired and then having the audacity to claim unfair treatment king! King of coming on too strong to women out of his league! King of letting his immaturity and meddlesome parents keep his romantic entanglements from progressing past a single night. King of having his mother barge into his bedroom while he and a lady friend are in bed and then king 👏 of 👏 fighting 👏 with 👏 his 👏 mother 👏 in 👏 front 👏 of 👏 half 👏 dressed 👏 said 👏 lady 👏 friend!

Why those clapping hands look like feature-less hen heads... I just--

In the pictures on the left, Ace doesn’t look that bad!, so you’re going to have to trust me that he’s just really... um... reallllllllllllly unattractive in-game. Generally I don’t care about that (#allsimsarevalid) but the issue for him was his proportions and if I’m the one crafting those proportions, like, there’s some missteps I cannot abide. I said in this very post that I didn’t start these makeovers to make a bunch of supermodels but I felt like I owed Ace something more so yes, it was a goal of mine to make him kinda cute. I feel that I retained his Ace-ness while making him a total qt 3.14. Look at those dimples. Look at those lashes! Lil lamb. Weird little angel statue. Little garden cherub.

Ace's life... man, idk. Struck out with the ladies. Never found his passions. In denial, even as a young adult, about the extent of his parents’ fractured marriage. He took to programming and worked on it autonomously but never achieved greatness because he ended up with some custom trait that caused him to want to sleep, like, twenty-one hours of the day? and that kind of put a wrench in things, never mind that he came from a family that thought computer stuff was for nerds lololololol

All that was bad enough but Ace’s lowest point came when the mother of his children (yes, he found love!) seduced his dad and abandoned the kids to start a new family. But that’s a story for another time. Now, all that happening with his original face? Pathetic and maybe deserved. All that happening with his new face? Um, it wouldn’t and it won’t! Dimples, lashes, lamb.

When I created Jimmy he was a teenager. Here, he is a young adult. Like his brothers, he was a hot mess, but a cool version. He was the neighborhood heartthrob even looking like a baby-faced adult gangster who disguised himself as a newsboy. He’s forty-four but he acts sixty-four and he looks nine! Extra, extra, he says sardonically before pulling a tommy gun from his satchel of newspapers and riddling the facade of your hideaway with a couple-a rounds, see?

My original plan for Jimmy was to not necessarily be “good-looking” but to have all the qualities of someone who the neighborhood/town accepts is good-looking. Oh, that hair! Oh, cheekbones and freckles! Oh, those light eyes. And on and on. 🙄 The first Jimmy could get by as a teen, but his appearance didn’t translate to any older life stage; through elder-hood, he continued to look like a small doll, a child star past his prime. Embarrassing! Now he’s better. When he doesn’t come back after being the sim version of drafted to fight in the sim version of the Vietnam War during the sim version of the year 1969 it’ll be all the more tragic because, you see, it’s just so much worse when someone pretty dies!

(Wow, not me spoiling a plot point I’ll never work through from a story I’ll never write/share!)

Original Jimmy was a real dog and a cheater to his sweet little girlfriend and a jerk to his brothers and thanks to me not checking off the proper settings when I first started using MCCC, he--again, as a teenager 💆‍♀️--entered into an on-and-off affair with Paola (from this post) and they had two kids that her cuck husband pretty much raised while Jimmy kept flitting around town sowing his seed all the while having the gall to force his sweet little girlfriend to end her (surprise but wanted) pregnancy and then dumping her for her troubles. Guess those promise rings meant nothing. If any sim deserves a smirk it’s him so I gave him one.

For the record, Rocky and Ace and Jimmy did in fact all have the same parents because I set it up that way in CAS. To think their mom and dad fought about this when there were so many other things they didn’t like about one another...

hi okay weird ask but have you ever run into those weirdos in the young avengers tag who seemingly hate every single thing that’s ever happened in the young avengers and act like an authority on everything by responding to random posts with long angry paragraphs. they confuse me SO much like dude it’s not that deep... half of the joy of comics is how inconsistent and wild it all is. comics are a never soap opera

hi!!! i feel like ive run into a couple a few times but not recently bc i tend to stick to tommy’s tag only and even then ive stopped popping in as frequently bc of all the mcu stuff. BUT YEAH it’s ejhbjasbdja so weird like i get being passionate ab ur faves but at the end of the day its not that deep and when u have so many diff writers writing one team/char its gna be inconsistent. like i get it tho. it sucks a lot. esp when they get bad writing. but theres really nothing u can do so like maybe save that energy for smt else jrbhjabdhjsad

yes yes !! i have So Many favorite books and would absolutely Love to share them !!! these are all mostly horror/creepy/mystery books btw bc it’s really the only genre of fiction i read ;-; (also i talk too much,,,,, this is what happens when you ask a writer abt her favorite books jdfhkdjsfh)

if we were villains by m. l. rio (this is a new fave of mine but i absolutely Love It !! it has shakespeare and m*rder which is a great combo and the writing is so good !!!!)

it by stephen king (one of my absolute faves,,,, when i first read it i was wayyyyyyyyyy too young but it left such a deep impression on me and king’s writing is just *chef’s kiss*)

velocity by dean koontz (i don’t really even know how to describe it but like,,, it’s just so entrancing ??? like i read it all in one go because i couldn’t put it down!!)

we all looked up by tommy wallach (okay,,, ngl when i first read this book i hated it,,, gave it two stars on goodreads,,,, and really didn’t wanna ever think abt it again but i gave it a second read and it really hits in this deep place in my heart that i didn’t wanna think about but this book forced me to reevaluate everything,,,, it’s an end-of-the-world (maybe?) philosophical masterpiece honestly)

my heart and other black holes by jasmine warga (another one of those books that is one of my absolute faves,,,, it mixes science/physics into quite a deep subject and i just found this whole thing so intriguing to read ??? like the way everything is set up and it honestly does get quite dark, but that’s why i love it so much... it made me feel such a deep ache in my heart that i couldn’t stop thinking about it for a week after finishing,,,, i also first read this book at an extremely low point in my life and reading it really gave me some comfort if i can call it that... it’s just a really beautiful book)

it’s kind of a funny story by ned vizzini (this !!!! this !!!!!!! this book >>>> like the one before,,,, this does get kinda dark ?? not as dark but i would still proceed with caution if you are easily triggered by dark subjects,,,)

rangerstop 2019 memories

every convention i think “it can’t get better than this” and then every convention it DOES!!! anyway this was the year of #brodysbitches click the read more to check out all the good times we had:

so first of all we all got a booth! and by “we all” i mean abbey @kimberlyannharts and ben @brodyromero to sell their art, it was called super mega art and it was super mega fun! we all hung out there a lot but we also walked around to meet the rangers and lot of them stopped by to hang out with us too which was so sweet :’)

carla perez / rita repulsa, mmpr

carla is literally the nicest warmest person in the world i’m ready to lay down my life for her! she exudes fun mom energy and she’s so pretty and she was so happy to talk with us about rita, i think we visited her booth pretty much every day and also said hi every time she passed by our booth

we told her that we loved rita and stan villainesses!! and she loved it! and that we loved her portrayal of rita as more fun and childish and full of energy and she said yeah, the directors asked her to take rita in a new direction when she was cast while still staying true to who rita was so she decided to make rita more childish and fun with the sticking out her tongue and everything and we told her it was perfect bc rita with her tongue out is literally iconic

so the first night we get to the hotel, tabby tells me to close my eyes and come over and she hands me A PINK ZEO RANGER FUNKO POP, custom made by jalenv515 on instagram (check his stuff out!) and i lost my mind because its SO good and it’s my girl and i love it and tabby and katherine so much <3 the guy who made it asked her to ask me to get a pic with it so ofc i had to do that and show catherine

she definitely did not remember us from the last two cons we saw her at but you know what i respect that! queen of being too popular to remember faces (brennan mejia take notes) but i think she did remember me after this time :’)

i said “so tabby actually got me this as a gift because i literally love kat hillard so much she is my entire soul” and she was SO touched and delighted to see the funko pop she was like “oh my god this is so cool!” and i was like, she’s going on the center of my power rangers shrine for reals

we asked her which season she liked better for kat and she said zeo but me and tabby were like “no, turbo rights only” and listed off the amazing kat episodes in turbo and she agreed with us that the episode with the ballerina and the weight gain episode were so good! i think she says zeo automatically bc it’s her only full season and dudebros love it so she was probably surprised that we were like fuck zeo lives turbo is skinny but... turbo IS skinny :)

and then after that we took her to our booth bc it was just two away from gazbot’s and she loved it everyone always loves ben and abbey’s art bc its the greatest in the world :’)

first of all, ben abbey and i saw him passing by while we were having dinner at gatorville and we all GASPED and he noticed and grinned and waved at us while he was walking by.... an angel literally an angel

i got abbey’s dustin sticker signed by him and she gave him one of his own and he loved itttt

LITERALLY THE STAR ATTRACTION every time we passed by his booth his line was a mile long, meanwhile all the originals’ booths right across from him were like [crickets chirping] it was so funny lmao

so we only got to see him on the last day bc his line was so long and nobody wanted to stand in it but tabby wanted to meet him! and then she got scared and almost walked away but a really nice girl (i think part of chris khayman lee’s team??) stopped her and was like THIS IS UR MOMENT and it was!!!

he is literally so sweet and handsome and cuddly he’s just a big teddy bear and he’s soooo charming and nice, he was wearing a manbun and like a full suit w/ a dress shirt, absolutely flexing on all the other boys in their t-shirts and jeans

tabby asked if he would do a pose holding her hand like he’s about to kiss it and he laughed and was like “okay but don’t show my wife!!” loyal king

ok so firass is really hot and at one point he stopped by our table (bc richard called him over to look at abbey’s nick and fireheart print) and he was really nice but he’s. he’s so hot. we did not go to his table all weekend bc we were so intimidated hfdghfgd so thats why he doesnt get a section. but i do still love him i just cant speak w/ him or my brain will turn to jello probably

nic also won’t get a section bc i didnt really interact w/ him much but he stopped by the table twice to talk w/ abbey he loved her and her art!! chip squared!! he ranted about how hard it was to say fireheart in an american accent for all of them it sounded cute go talk to abbey for more details

anyway back to richard: somehow we just attract green rangers like bees to honey and idk why but i’m not complaining he’s so nice and handsome and funny! and he just LOVED talking with us like we stopped by his table every day and i dont think we even talked about mystic force or anything in particular, we were just chatting and he just loved it and like never wanted us to leave basically

hes so fun to talk to, we went to him on day 1 to get my tyzonn print (from gazbot) signed and we were just talking to him about all his roles and tabby asked “was that ur real hair” and he was like lmao no can’t you tell?? and was talking about how they originally were gonna dye his hair platinum blonde but he thought it looked awful so they went w/ the ugly wig and he said they wanted to differentiate him from his previous two power rangers characters so tyzonn had to be blond

and then he kept saying wig and we kept giggling about it and we had to explain to him that wig is teen slang for something really cool and awesome and he said to try it out and gestured with his arms and it was SO funny... king of memes

its so overwhelming to even think about bc brody romero is literally LITERALLY my favorite ranger of all time and we spent SO MUCH time talking to will and all of it was fucking amazing i’ll try to point out the highlights but god there was just so much i love him SO much

he talked a lot about the time he spent in new zealand (bc zali and nari were there from australia and talking to him about it) and he told us a lot of stories about the cast getting drunk and having fun, he told us about the time he and the boys went w/ jordi to his home and learned about maori culture and he had to eat bugs and about the time nico got blackout drunk at star casino and made out w/ a completely random girl and they all gave him hell for it later lmao

he was having so much fun talking to us that at one point a random dudebro came up and brennan was around the booth and we were like “oh did you wanna buy something” and dudebro was like “no i just wanted to show them my comic” which literally was just an mmpr comic and he wasn’t even paying for anything what the fuck?? and will took one look at him and his comic and went “uh one second man” and turned back to us and completely ignored him until he went away and we all DIED laughing i love him SO much (sorry to brennan for leaving him w/ the dudebro lol)

at some point he was talking about other actors that he’s met and i asked if he’s seen other seasons and he made the :grimace: emoji and was like no and i was like good keep it that way ninja steel is the only season :) and he started laughing and was like COME OVER HERE AND HUG ME i could stay wrapped in his arms forever tbh

he said he felt bad for chip bc the cast was always asking him to adjust things and bringing up their own ideas for writing (things we know from peter complaining about chip’s writing and trying to get his own ideas in...) and said he preferred to not annoy him w/ all of that BUT he did say he got annoyed himself when chip would direct episodes and be VERY particular about exactly how he wanted them to act and we were like fuck him is he an actor??? and he laughed... he literally thought we were so funny even tho we are not at all lmao

at one point he was talking about how jordi was shirtless a lot and had big boobs (his words) and i said, on instinct, “tits out for ninja steel” and he goes what?? and asked me to repeat it and i had a brief moment of panic but i did repeat “tits out for ninja steel” thru my giggles and he burst into laughter again dfhjkgdfd TO BE CLEAR i should not have said that pls dont say that to actors’ faces he so easily could’ve made it uncomfortable or creepy (some actors...not mentioned in this post...are fucking creepy) but he didnt bc hes an angel so i guess its fine

every time we were hovering around brennan’s table on day 3 tabby says will kept looking over in our direction i think he missed us bc we were actually fun to talk to and not fucking dudebros trying to tell him the plots of seasons he does not give a shit about bc he wasnt in them (literally u do not need to explain the plot of dino thunder to actors who were not in dino thunder, pls calm down) and also bc he loves us :)

we all went in to save him from a dudebro at one point by just asking him random questions and the dudebro KEPT HOVERING like trying to be in the conversation as if we were FRIENDS with him (dont do this unless ur paying the actor for his time!!! he wasn’t even buying anything he was like “i’m just here to talk” bitch get his autograph or GO) and the dudebro tried to flex on us by being like “oh were you guys at th power morphicon with the yoshi and peter hug” and tabby got confused (bc we were at the next pmc and said yes) and kat just lied and said yes bc she hates dudebros and ben (the only truthful person) said no and abbey said yes and then will turned his head all the way around to me on the side and was like “were you there?” and i mean... i wasnt....but he wouldnt stop looking at me WHAT WAS I GONNA DO, DISAPPOINT HIM? so i said yes :)

after the dudebro FINALLY fucking left kat was like “oh thank god we can leave now” and will was so confused until he realized “were you guys just trying to save me from talking to him” and he laughed and was so touched he was like “thank you guys you can see how my face just goes dead when they talk to me” dfhgjkdfg and we were like literally send up the bat signal any time you need us to save you and he said we were the best people to talk to the whole con and he loved ussss

at one point we were talking about indian rep in power rangers and he looks at ME and goes “so what do you think of jazz as desi rep” and idk will what am i supposed to think when you’re staring into my soul??? i said he was cool and i liked ravi but he wasn’t red and i’m red ranger ride or die so :) i just love brody romero so fucking much idk what else i was supposed to say.... ur literally ingrained in my soul william NOBODY ELSE CAN COME CLOSE

i asked “how much money do i have to pay to get you to arm wrestle brennan for me” and he was like “i dont know if there’s enough money in the world but you can ask brennan” and i called brennan over like “brennan will you please arm wrestle will for me” and he DID and it was so fun they were having such a good time, in the second round we all started chanting NINJA STEEL NINJA STEEL and you can see brennan getting shook by that for a second and then later will told us he appreciated our chanting so much and we were like yeah man, ninja steel FOREVER anyway here are the videos: one and two :) (they did not make me pay for it, generous kings)

he also followed me and ben on instagram after day 2 and then EARLIER TODAY (11/13) he was stalking and followed ben’s personal acct and also reposted his ninja steel art onto his story and tagged him so in conclusion, brody romero first god second

phew ok i think that’s pretty much everything??? we also made a lot of cool friends w/ artists and stuff!! we talked to gazbot a lot and that was super fun, the girls next to our booth made custom power rangers pillows and they were really cool! i think kat, tabby, and ben all bought pillows from them they were really soft and cute, we talked to ceevee a lot (he actually gave me his extra exhibitor badge bc his brother couuldnt make it and then a different artist saw my badge saying “ceevee illustrations” and gave me a sticker for free because “you work for chris and he’s awesome” dfhgjdfhd i went back and paid him tho bc you dont take free shit from artists, kids! pay them for their work!) spent a lot of time yelling (nicely) at ceevee to make a poppy pin and he said he would bump it up the list for me :)

Well English is my first and primary language and the only one I’m wholly fluent in, but I can understand German fairly well! I can kinda read it alright and understand what someone is saying but Do Not ask me to converse in it. I Will Die. I have retained a bit of Spanish and French from middle and high school which means [Kel Mitchell voice] I know some of these words!!

But I’ve wanting to learn Russian for some time !! My dad knows Russian and I’ve only picked up the odd phrase and sentence from him but I’d like to learn more !!

Oooooh, I gotta think about that one... it’s rlly hard to pin stuff down nowadays because What Does True Happiness Feel Like Again and uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it’s been awhile !! But I’d say the leather jacket I got for my 18th birthday because my family doesn’t really have a whole lot of money so them to shell out that much for me meant a lot. And also seeing “Singin’ in the Rain” that day !! I got to see it in theaters and it was super nice and fun :^)

A – Anger (What was their first fight about? Any big or recurring arguments?)

Their first big fight, the one that really matters, stemmed from miscommunication. Clove was feeling insecure, which snowballed into an exchange of cruel words on both of their parts. Thankfully, they worked through and made up. You can read the whole thing here.

B – Best (What would they say is the other’s best trait?)

Tom's absolute favorite thing about Clove is that, despite her back story, she is soft. This just so happens to be her favorite thing about him, too.

They are able to fight anything that stands in their way and do so almost fearlessly, but when it comes to their moments - the moments in between and after, they have one another. Whether that's tickles on the couch or stuffing their faces full of cookies and pizza, whispering sweet nothings or their closest form of intimacy, they cherish their ability to get rid of walls when they're together.

C – Camera (How do they document their relationships? Who likes to take pictures? Or videos?)

They both have a tendency to reach for their phones and document things. Tom loves taking selfies with her and requires multiple each time, and Clove likes taking pictures of him to scroll through later. He was pleasantly surprised when finding that she has an entire album dedicated to random candid moments of his, and sometimes does things she'd think to be cute while she's holding her phone, just to give her a little something extra.

D – Dates (What are their dates like?)

They've never really been a couple who plan anything even kind of elaborate, though Tom does try. He knows she prefers nights in, so he likes to surprise her with her favorite foods and snacks and either a pile of blankets or a cute pillow fort. They both consider these nights, “date nights,” and it's kind of an inside joke.

E – Early (What was the first month of dating like?)

Awkward. Much of the first month consisted of Clove flirting, Tom missing her advances, and fighting the supernatural. Not the grandest of times.

F – Friends (How is their relationship with each other’s group of friends?)

Amazing. Andy and Clove get along super well, which makes Tom over the moon. He loves when Andy visits and they all play Mario Kart or go on walks together and thinks their sassy personalities go hand in hand. He doesn't even mind when he becomes the butt end of their joke.

Tom and Clove's bestie, Ricky, didn't meet in person for a few months, but they quickly became buddies and they even have their own group chat with Elliot for when Tom has some...plans... about doing something special for her. 😉

G – Gifts (Do they like giving each other gifts? What kind?)

Tom always wants to pay for things because he thinks it's chivalrous, but Clove couldn't care less. Truth is, it's always kind of a battle with these two. They love to spoil one another and do so very often, no matter if it's a new item or something hand made.

Clove spun and sculpted an entire collection of MCU mugs for Tom’s first birthday when they were together, which inspired him to start sketching again as he did in middle school (inspired by one of his heroes, Ben Park.) He draws her cute little doodles on the mirror in dry erase marker and she swoons every single time.

H – Hugs (All things involving hugs)

Clove is a laying down hugger. So in other words, she likes to face Tom, wrap her arms around him, and simultaneously hold each other. Tom doesn't hug people too often apart from his family and close friends on occasion, but he absolutely adores her hugs. He often comments on her scent and softness, and she melts in his warmth.

I – Inside Jokes (Do they have any?)

Too many. Like, actually too many. Sometimes it's hard to keep track.

J – Jealousy (Who gets jealous easier? How do they show their jealousy?)

Tom surprises himself at his lack of jealousy now that they're together. At first, he second guessed himself more than he should have, but now he knows how solid they are. Clove, however, tends to harbor a bit of jealousy when others check him out. She never says anything and she doesn't make a show of it, but he notices the look in her eyes when she catches someone admiring his looks. He'll jokingly elbow her and wiggle his eyebrows, mouthing, “Love you,” and she holds his hand a little tighter as if to thank him for that gentle reassurance.

K – Kiss (How do they kiss? Who usually initiates?)

They both initiate in their own ways, very distinctly. Tom starts slow, usually gently swiping his fingers across her waist as he pulls her in, sweetly rubbing his nose with hers before he kisses her. He prefers pecks in public, but when they're in a safe place, he drinks her kisses like fine wine. Slow, steady, loving, almost as if he's afraid he'll run out of her. Kissing Tom is an experience, one that fills her entire heart with butterflies no matter how many times she's done it.

Clove's kisses are just as gentle, but mix in a heap of sensuality. She doesn't care who sees, but respects Tom's aversion to too much PDA. She kisses him with fire, whether slow burning or fierce flickers, leaving lingering love marks on that special place just behind where his hair falls on his neck. Not too dark, but enough for him to hold onto in moments of her absence. He is a big fan of this.

L – Love (How do they first say those three words?)

You already know the canon version, but in my fic universe...the night they finally become intimate. He's so nervous for her to say it, and it's almost a fight to fit it in, but it's a tender and beautiful moment.

M – Movies (What kinds of movies do they watch together? Is it a regular Netflix ritual?)

Clove is a horror girl at heart, even after the wild experiences they have in Pine Springs. Tom is okay with this, and he happily binges films with her, but he really loves anything related to the MCU and anything funny or action packed. When they can't decide what to watch, they put Bob's Burgers on and snuggle, which genuinely is their routine nowadays. They love it.

N – Nicknames (Things they call each other)

Tom's nicknames for Clove, in order of his most to least fave : Love, Angel, Babe, Baby

Clove's nicknames for Tom, in order of her most to least fave : Tommy, Baby, Babe, Honey, Sweetie, Dear

O – One (Tell us about the moment they realized they were with the one.)

Clove will argue that she's always known, and stands by that. In truth, it was one moment soon after meeting him, after their first kiss in Westchester, when he was falling asleep while they'd gone out for pizza. He jolted up to pretend he wasn't asleep, hair falling in his face. He said, “I'm awake! You're pretty.” She knew.

Tom knew she was the one very early on but doesn't have one moment pinpointed. She reminds him each morning that she kisses his cheeks and every time she calls him, “Tommy.”

P – Pizza (What is their favorite food to eat together?)

Pizza, specifically pizza from the good bread place down by the spice market. They have the best cheese pulls and Tom is a huge sucker for their jalapeño breadsticks on the side.

Q – Quit (Do they break up? Almost break up? What happened?)

No. Even during their biggest fight, neither of them could fathom leaving the other. This would have been catastrophic for them, as both of them have their hearts and minds set on only loving one another.

R – Rainy Days (How do they comfort each other on dark days?)

Tom is very nurturing, as taught by his grandparents at a young age. She loves when he sings, and though he doesn't do it often, he will always delight her ears when she's down. He likes to light her favorite candles, prepare her bath water, he warms her towel and makes her snacks. He's even sat on the bathroom floor and held her hand during one of said baths, which has quietly become one of her most treasured memories of their relationship.

Clove knows exactly what Tom needs in all of his moods, especially the down ones. He thrives on positive affirmations, so much of the time, she will spoon him and brush his hair with her fingers while telling him how wonderful he is and how much she loves him. He gets tingles when she plays with his hair and sometimes he'll give her puppy dog eyes and sit on the floor in front of her, leaning his head back into her lap. She loves it too and doesn't mind the extra practice for if they ever have a long haired baby one day.

S – Soft (Something one of them did that turned the other into absolute mush)

These two are the epitome of soft for one another. Just this morning, Tom was pouring a bowl of cereal after Clove had gone to her studio. He noticed her lipstick stain on the mug she'd left on the counter, and it almost made him tear up. He just really loves her, okay? On her way to the studio, he sent her a good morning selfie and she felt her insides go melty. She pulled into the parking lot and held her phone to her chest, smiling, before sending one back. She just really loves him, okay?

T – Texting (Do they text each other a lot? What do they usually talk about over the phone?)

They text each other random things all day long, which usually consists of memes and bad jokes, but Tom loves her studio selfies. She'll even use clay scraps to spell out silly messages and send them to him, while he sends her scrunch faced pictures in return. They're ridiculously sappy and even more cute.

As for phone calls, they don't have those very often, and the ones they do...well, this is meant to be SFW...so let's skip it.

U – Unique (Tell us about some of their odd habits that surprised one another.)

Clove was shocked when Tom revealed himself to be very, very clean. He doesn't leave things around, he does his dishes as he uses them, and his apartment always smells as clean as it looks. Sometimes he misses laundry, but for the most part, he's a clean guy. She differs from him a little, meaning she will leave things in the living room (like books, magazines, makeup) creating a little clutter. Tom secretly likes this, because it makes him feel like his place is becoming a home. Their home.

V – Vanity (Something they’re proud of in themselves and their partner)

Clove's art skill is way more than she'd ever let on, so much so that her only job is her art - and it's enough. She is mad talented and very self sustaining, and this is her point of pride. She loves what she does and she knows she's among the best.

Tom’s great at anything technical and can figure things out very quickly. This enables him to essentially breeze through college and also maintain his new job position at a tech firm. He's an excellent learner and a fast one at that, and he is very proud of where he's headed.

They are proud of one another for these things, sure, but more so, they are proud of one another for the strength and fire they each hold.

W – Wedding (Tell us about your wedding head canon if they’ve gotten that far. Or if not, have they talked about it?)

You'll just have to wait and see.

X – X (Something they hate about the other)

Hate is a strong word, but Clove really does wish he'd remember to put the seat down. He usually laughs and calls her, “little wet booty,” but she really, really doesn't think it's funny. On the other end, Tom wishes she'd stop leaving bobby pins and matches everywhere. The girl loves candles and the sound a match makes when it strikes, but he's sick of picking them up all the time.

Y – Youtube (What are they like online? Do they post about their relationship constantly?)

They post about their relationship on special occasions and extra sappy days, but they do frequently post updated photos together.

Z – Zoo (Are they into animals? Do they want pets? What kind?)

They're both dog people and they'd love one or two, but they're waiting to get a house instead of Tom's little apartment and her studio. Clove also wouldn't mind some kind of rodent, but when she held a mouse up to him at the pet store, he may have shrieked a little. No rodents for Tom.

Her name is Talitha Jade. She’s a pirate, sort of. Mostly she’s a pirate because she’s not affiliated with any military or merchant group. She kind of goes her own thing. Before meeting Aishlynn Mynerva, she mainly just visited the ruins of a lost civilization and tried to learn as much about their history, culture, and magic as she could. She’s kind of a magical genius, and she loves learning.

Two years before the opening of The Martyr Queen, she lost her baby sister; brother in law; and young nephew all in one day. She got revenge against the man that killed them (better known as their father) and gave up her birthright to the College of Magus and City of Illuminara.

Now she works with Alinora Mynerva & friends to stop Kai’os from destroying the world.

Fun, right?

Oh, and one other thing I forgot to mention! She’s at least partially deaf, if not fully deaf. She uses magic to make up for that in important situations, but mostly just lets it be. She and her grew have come up with their own sort of sign language. I really need to make up my mind as to how deaf she is, but she’s being particularly stubborn.

Just like she won’t let me know if she’s bi or pan. *sigh*

So, recap done. One thing I’ve kind of wanted to do with her is talk in her voice? I’m going to grab some questions from Arthur Aron’s Intimacy Questions and answer them in her voice. If you’re not interested, no hard feelings–I’ll be sticking this under a readmore ;)

If you knew that in one year you would die suddenly, would you change anything about the way you are now living? Why?

Talitha hums. “I’d like to tell you no, that I believe in living life to the fullest every day, so there’s no reason for me to change. That would be a lie. I mean, I try to live life to the fullest, but… I’m only mortal. And not even a foresighted one either! Not that I’d want that power. That’s one portion of magic my sticky fingers will stay far, far away from.” She shudders.

“Anyway. I’d write a letter to my half brother. Give him some of the advice I’ve collected throughout the years. Maybe give him a perspective on being the boss. I’ve never led a city, but I imagine it’s like a larger scale version of bossin’ around my crew.” She shrugs. “I’d spend more time with my crew, and my friends. Maybe try to make Alinora less gloomy. Get Aishlynn to be a proper big sister instead of an asshole.

“And then, I dunno. When it got closer to the date, I’d probably see about goin’ after one of the Anari’s lost cities. I mean, if I was gonna die anyway, I might as well brave those terrible storms, right? And who knows, maybe they could prevent my death? Or maybe they couldn’t. At least I know a good reaper.” She grins.

What does friendship mean to you?

“Eh, it means a lot of things. When I think of my friends I think of someone who’s loyal. They have my back, even when I’m doing stupid shit. They respect me enough to tell me when my ideas are harebrained, and trust me enough to back off when I say I have it handled. But they also know me well enough to know sometimes I don’t, so they insist on sticking with me anyway.

“I think of people who tell me what they think, but who occasionally tell me a little white lie to spare my feelings. I think of people with open shoulders and open arms, who don’t mind listening, and who know they can come to me in turn.” Talitha shrugs.

“I guess that wasn’t really the point of the question, though, was it?” She sighs. “Friendship means a lot to me, let’s put it that way. I don’t have much in the way of family any more, so my friends? My crew? They’re my family now, and that means they’re important. Near the top of my list, really.”

How do you feel about your relationship with your mother?

Talitha snorts. “I’m pretty happy about the relationship we have now, actually. By which I mean not having one. She left me to basically raise my baby sister under my father’s thumb. She didn’t come back until after my sister was dead and my father had been brought to justice–by me. And when she did come back, she had a whole new family. New man, new son… It was like Lyn and I had never even existed! And then she had the nerve to act all regretful that she had never gotten to meet James and Tommy. Well. It wasn’t like I made myself hard to find. I’m pretty fuckin’ famous, y’know?”

She shakes her head. “Ask me somethin’ else. I don’t wanna talk about this anymore.”

What would constitute a “perfect” day for you?

Talitha hums. “Me an’ my crew on the open sea. Wind behind us and the horizon ahead of us. Singin’, dancin’, watchin’ shadow plays in the sails…” She sighs. “Maybe hit an Anari ruin, maybe just kinda float on the open ocean. That’s a perfect day.”

Is there something that you’ve dreamed of doing for a long time? Why haven’t you done it?

“Yeah. I want to try to make it through one of the storms surrounding the Anari cities. They’re magical storms, and no one who goes in ever makes it out again. I’ve been studyin’ all kinds of shield spells, as well as what little the Anari left behind. I’ve got some theories on how it might be possible… but I have to wait.

“For one thing, I don’t want to put my crew in that kind of danger. So that’s something I’d have to do on my own. While my ship would answer to my commands no problem, I don’t want to take my people’s home from them, you know?

“For another thing, we also have a mission. Gotta stop Kai’os from ending the world. That’d put a real damper on any expedition, lemme tell you. So I have to do that first.

“Especially since if I fail, it’s likely I’ll die. And I won’t be around to do anything else. Gotta tie up my loose ends first.”

Ask Meme-Part 1

20. favourite location?

Is this meant to be a double bluff where I say The Mill, because I think durr have you met me? And then you expect me to pick somewhere other random place like the Cricket Pavilion (petition for Robert to be competitive in his cricket whites and Aaron to bowl him over out), and I double back round to The Mill (can I interest you in some TARDIS blue?), because hello tis T'Mill lads. Where else? Come on now.

Well joke's on you cause my true fave location is actually the messy cupboard.

Just the fact that have one at all tickles me no end. Because it's just such a domestic, your stuff mixed with mine, place where we live, thing to have. The fact that Aaron mentioned it in the Valentine's Day ep (he found Robert's fancy pasta machine in there), and that Robert knew exactly what cupboard he was talking about confirms that it's a THING. As you know my headcanon is that it's a stingy cupboard in the downstairs bathroom (also confirmed as a thing the day after the Valentine’s ep because Aaron said Robert ducked in there and scarpered through the window when Alex showed up), stuffed full of all the crap they haven't found a place for; pasta makers, butterfly blankets, ugly vases, undealt with emotions et al. You know, the usual.

45. a storyline you wish we’d had or one you wish we’d seen more of?

I will always and forever always wish (and hope it may yet be revisited) we'd had more follow up with Robert's feelings about Jack, specifically how he reacted to Robert liking boys as well. That was a lot of trauma for a fifteen year old to deal with and I think it coloured (and still does in many aspects) Robert's perception of himself for a long, long time. Has he had any kind of counselling since he was finally able to talk about it? Does anyone else but Aaron know? Has he ever confided in Vic or Diane? Would he remember that boy if he met him now? Just a lot of interesting stuff to unpack. I need to know.

46. a storyline idea for next this year?

Well, see above lol. But actually if we're talking about Robron, I know we all keep basically saying it, but I'd like an honest to goodness look at the surrogacy and/or adoption process for LGBTQ couples, and how the challenges they face are different to those of a heterosexual couple.

For Aaron, a closer look at his mental health and the impact Billy being in the village is having on his mindset and behaviour (the wanting to stay home more, not going places where he might be etc.). How do stressful conditions like this impact on his history of self harming? He's acknowledged that he can't help how he's feeling and that maybe he needs to return to counselling. Can we see any of that?

It could take a lot of forms, but basically I'd really love to see a soap show that managing your mental health is an ongoing thing that you have to tend to. That relapses can happen when there are a lot of stressors in your life. That okay for a while, doesn't mean okay always. Because it’s so important to show ongoing mental health storylines and the realities of the ups and downs. Soaps often (if not always) cover the initial depictions of many mental health issues very well, but then often it can get lost in the follow up months and years of a character if they remain in the show. But that needs to change. Because the truth is these things don’t happen in isolation. There’s almost always triggers/stressors and a build up before a crash, or relapse of some sort. Sometimes they're big and sometimes they're small. I'd just love to see a soap showing that it's an ongoing work in progress to be mentally well, particularly after trauma.

Aside from all the Lachlan/Rebecca/Kidnapping/Liv being sent to Young Offenders stuff last year that Aaron has had to process, in the last six months alone Aaron's had a lot to deal with (Grace's death, Seb leaving/being taken from the family home, and Billy showing up reminding him of an intensely stressful period for him, as well as the ups and downs of trying to see if they can afford the surrogacy etc.).

I have also lowkey wondered if Aaron reverting a little to his tendency to ‘react first, ask questions later’ will be actively addressed again, as it speaks to him falling back into an old pattern of behaviour, which is often a hallmark of not struggling/not coping with a stressor. The obvious stressor for Aaron recently is Billy arriving in the village, bringing up unresolved issues and fears he clearly still has around his time in prison, invading his safety and the whole concept of what a safe space is for him. I’m hoping with the show showing this tendency towards a possible form of Agoraphobia that they’ve possibly been building in, along with the discussion where in Aaron’s own words he can’t 'fix his brain’ and the counselling mention that it’ll be something that shows yes, he does need support and a plan to get through all this.

For Robert, aside from what I mentioned above, I'd like to see if there is anything physically health wise they may follow up on, like the fit he had when he overdid it looking for Rebecca. Was there a deeper root to what caused that?

And like most people I would love to see Robert finally have his own independent, successful business, whatever that may be.

I'd also like to see more Sugdens back in the village. Or at least Sugden adjacent. I'd especially like to know what happened to the surviving Merrick siblings. Robert's half sister Sandie (who also used to live in The Mill incidentally!), moved to Aberdeen and had a daughter called Louise offscreen, who was apparently given up for adoption. Louise is only a couple of years older than Robert. Bring them back maybe and stir things up? Where did Tommy end up? Or like at least give us an Annie cameo, I'll even take just a voice over, I'm dying over here.

tie between kate and clint but probably clint tbh because kate hasn’t really fully reached the end of any one developmental arc yet since she’s so young/such a new character

HALLOWEEN 2018, THE TEA SESH

Alright, I grew up with the series, I mean literally. I grew up being dragged to south pasadena every weekend, and the 30th convention for Halloween was the first horror convention I ever worked. Thank you Sean Clark for that unforgettable childhood moment.

NOW, we got 2018 rolling in nearby. AND I AM STOKED. Let me first say I am INCREDIBLY THRILLED about John Carpenter returning, because we all know he is the God that made this series what it is. Secondly, JAMIE👏LEE👏CURTIS👏. Girl we missed you, welcome back home to the Halloween series Scream Queen! Y'all we even got one of the original actors for the shape back, like what more can we ask for? (Also I say one of, because y'all know there were several actors playing Michael Meyers in the original Halloween, right?)These things are what makes me so stoked about this new film, I mean HELLO! Y'ALL HOME? John Carpenter is doing the scoring once again!!! Are you screeching, or is it just me?

Have an accountant in the family.

Indiegogo is your friend. (Kickstarter only gives you the funds if you meet your goal, whereas Indiegogo allows you to choose to still get your funds if you don't meet your goal.)

Bungie cords are clutch.

Know your legal obligations (you need separate business licenses for every municipality!)

For the first few months, plan two hours more than you think you'll need.

Ask someone who is not in your field to walk through your store and give you feedback.

Don't take everything a customer says to heart.

Engage sometimes, but not always.

Bookstores are businesses too, y'all.
