A personal favorite Good Omens headcanon of mine is that, despite being born an entirely human person, Warlock has a bit of reality warping powers. In the book (less so in the show, but still there to an extent), a lot of emphasis is placed on how Crowley and Aziraphale expect things to happen, and so they do. Aziraphale expects a phone to work by just talking to it without pushing buttons, so it does. Crowley expects his plants to grow better when he yells at them, so they do.
And of course, for eleven years, they both expect Warlock to be the Antichrist.
Warlock literally spent eleven years getting molded back-and-forth by Aziraphale and Crowley to be this or that sort of magical. Can you really expect that to not make any sort of difference to him? Crowley and Aziraphale expected Warlock to be the Antichrist so hard (because they literally didn’t even know there was another option) that I wouldn’t be surprised if Warlock was more Antichrist-like than Adam at this point. Adam grew up human (enough) and then revoked all of his Antichrist powers at the end of the book. He’s a regular human kid now. Warlock is probably more powerful than Adam at this point because it wasn’t just Crowley and Aziraphale who expected him to be incomprehensibly powerful- Warlock believes it himself. His name is Warlock, for fucks sake, that’s gotta do something to him.

Absolutely delightfully batshit things that are canon from the Good Omens book but (as far as I can remember) didn’t make it into the tv series:
- Elvis never died and works as a burger-cook at Burger Lord, the fast food chain owned by Famine
- Burger Lord franchises are banned in France
- Adam has a much older sister named Sarah and I would pay so much money for a chapter from her POV
- Baby #3 from the hospital switch grows up in Tadfield too, is called 'Greasy Johnson' and his gang of kids are the Them's greatest enemies
- Adam resurrects the postman Death killed and the postman immediately goes back to work, delivering Agnes Nutter's box to Newt and Anathema. It's also strongly implied the postman, unlike the rest of the world, remembers everything
- Adam also resurrected the ten telephone salespeople Hatsur killed. They don't remember anything. It's probably for the best.
- The Them meet the Metatron and are disappointed it isn't a transformer. They make their disappointment known. Loudly.
- Warlock Dowling is good at math, likes baseball and "plastic toys that transform into other plastic toys"

Greasy Johnson: a Red Herring?
This is a season 3 speculation post - you know not what to do with them
ok so i’ve fallen down a Greasy Johnson is Jesus rabbit hole and I love it - seems pretty plausible (here are some of of the pieces that sent me down here - Jesus 2.0 rides a Motorcycle Scooter , Greasy Johnson is Jesus, and Greasy Johnson in the book)
To summarize Greasy Johnson is the third baby in the swap who grows up near Adam and has kind of a “rival gang” who in the book is used as the reason why Adam finds a fight between two rivals ridiculous
plus you have the working title for the talked about sequel 668: The Neighbor of the Beast which more than likely is Greasy Johnson house and his thing with tropical fish - just a lot of things pointing to him being Jesus
But!! I want to talk about something a little different (and I can recognize this is probably just my want for Warlock to come back as someone important) because it was a choice not have him mentioned after the swap in the show.
What if Warlock is Jesus? Now just hear me out
If i’m following the swap right Warlock is our baby draped in blue and is the Young’s actual son
Now going back a bit I believe Heaven has been testing out aspects of what is said to happen in the Second Coming for a while now maybe as far back as 1827 but probably got close to right around 1941 and was just waiting for Hell to have the Antichrist and trigger Armageddon
and yknow for being an order of satanic nuns they sure do have a lot of Jesus on the Cross hanging around. why? - it’s almost like the were also meant to deliver him as well
So when Hell pulled their final card - so did Heaven
Now who was not meant to be there that night and messed everything up - the Young’s and their baby, Warlock - it’s almost like it was a divine intervention. And like I said earlier Warlock is our baby draped in blue (like Jesus) and our Ace card (ace up their sleeve anyone?)
Greasy Johnson was apart of Hells plan and set up - Warlock was not
also he has traveled the world because of the Dowling’s work before being tempted by Hastur which he denies
and the whales and dinosaurs we see in his room - you got your mothers humor don’t you?
and he is the only one who has to make a return to the UK - the plane in the opening sequence
what about Greasy Johnson and the neighbor of the beast though? that seems to be a pretty great fit and I agree - he is going to be the reason the swap is discovered and they all get together again - whatever that reason may be (*cough*dying*cough*)
and not mentioning him further in season one allows for him to come in as a completely new character and story that we get to follow around with points in his life pointing towards him being Jesus - as a distraction for the characters and for us
but where does Aziraphale come into this and why does the Metatron need an angel of his talents? - Heaven has also lost its card(baby), the trick worked a little too well and there are still two children to choose between, if they could find them - and Aziraphale, who has shown is apt at finding and identifying the Antichrist and knows Earth better than any angel, is just the being for the job
I recognize this is a lot of speculation and this is just kinda just a crack theory but it wouldn’t leave me alone so I’d thought I’d share
and mostly I think it’d be funny that in thinking they were raising the Antichrist they were actually raising Jesus Christ
(but also it would fit a lot of the headcannons floating around. Jesus being a right terror? check. Them raising Jesus? already did that. Trans!Jesus? remember all those trans!warlock headcannons. Jesus having a mentor relationship with Crowley? the demon raised Warlock. Going out for a drink? Warlock would an adult now by the time season 3 comes out and they keep following that the events in the show are happening at the present time it comes out trend - just on and on)

Crowley probably didn't keep any sort of direct contact with Warlock or the Dowling's after working as a tutor in the house, but I'm sure he still keeps an eye on Warlock from afar just to make sure he is doing alright because he is a sentimental lil snake that can't let go
Tumblr media
Aziraphale didn't have that problem because he's not that great with kids anyway and he was just a gardener for most of the time. But Crowley was also the nanny. He raised the boy ever since he was a small kid and most definitely spent more time with him during Warlock's first 11 years than anyone else. Of course the softie would get attached
In the beginning, it had just been a job for the both of them. Another task to try and prevent the Apocalypse and save their way of living, but the line between pretending and being blurred quite fast. Pretending was easy. Hell, he's a demon. Pretending is part of the job to get temptations done. He is a pro with 6000 years of experience under his belt. But suddenly, he started caring. He started smiling when the tiny hands reached out to him. He relaxed when he swayed Warlock on his arms and sang him lullabies until the wee child fell asleep. He laughed when he carefully sat on the floor with his skirts and played with plastic dinosaurs to entertain the boy. He felt warm inside when the small child insisted on sitting on his lap when they were watching some stupid brain rotting cartoons on the telly. He felt slightly more alive when the kid held his hand and pulled him around enthusiastically on their trips to the observatory and Crowley had the chance to share random facts about the stars and the galaxy in general to two very interested ears. Yes, it was about saving the planet and swaying the child between being good and evil, but that wasn't just it, was it? Not when Warlock fell ill and Crowley stayed up all night to tend to him or when the kid had nightmares and he yelled for the nanny and not for his mother.
Crowley knew how to calm him down and how to make him laugh. He had a mental catalog of all his facial expressions and what they meant. He was right there before the child even started crying, picking him up, pulling him to his chest, and singing to him while caressing his hair because he knew that's what he needed. A little bit of attention he barely got from his parents. A little bit of love. Crowley, better than anyone else, knows what it is to have negligent parents, and he wouldn't let Warlock be tainted by that if he had anything to say about it. Alas, he saw a lot of himself in the kid.
Shit thing is, after the birthday party, he has no reason to see him anymore. He could keep visiting him as the Nanny or the Tutor but what when Warlock started questioning why he didn't age? Crowley wouldn't expose his demonic nature like he forcibly did with Adam
Cause yes I believe Adam has his number and they end up growing quite close after Armageddon. Not only cause Adam thinks Aziraphale and Crowley are hella cool but because Crowley delivered the boy, bloody hell! Sure he didn't look after him for 11 years like he did Warlock but he's still a softie! An "I had you in a basket in the back of my car when you were a new born. I delivered you to the nunnery where you would meet your parents" type of softie
He cares about Adam, but he low-key cares more about Warlock and its tragic that's exactly the boy he doesn't have a reason to be close to anymore
Bet every year on Warlock's birthday he goes check on him and sends a quick miracle his way before heading to Adam's birthday party

Jesus 2.0 rides a Motorcycle Scooter
@createserenity posted about these two weird motorcycles seen through S2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They appear in first street scene in E1, are visible as the Bentley roars up after Aziraphale's phone call. License plates can clearly be read in Awning of New Age scene and are behind the Bentley before Crowley leaves in E6.
Tumblr media
The bike on the left is a "contemporary and dynamic" 2008 Piaggio Zip scooter and has three seat height settings for comfort. License plate SP 08 BYS.
Bike on the right is the "Ultimate Show Stopper." The 2008 Yamaha YBR125 is great for learners. License Plate DE 58 ANR. Seat is not adjustable.
In order to get a motorcycle license in United Kingdom you need to be 16, but can apply for license at 15. You'll also need an L or Learner plate, which these bikes have, though one is broke off. Rough ride?
I did not know the number on a license plate in UK corresponds to the year it was made. In this case, the 8 means 2008. @createserenity pointed this out and that 2008 is the year Warlock, Adam and Greasy Johnson were born.
I think one of those motorcycles belongs to Greasy Johnson and the Second Coming is already underway.
Do not tag Neil in fan theory!
This is an excellent post by @queerfables and reblog analysis on how the Second Coming is already in motion.
Greasy Johnson is the third baby in the baby swap. Repeat, Greasy Johnson is the third baby.
Edit: Alternative theory Jesus is a Red Herring
Greasy Johnson rides a scooter
There's two Greasy Johnson/motorcycle connections to Terry and Neil's original work. The first one was an oh. The second was an OH!!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Possibly you would like to imagine some children, and a hobby - restoring vintage motorcycles..." and
"Jesus Christ!" he moaned. "I think He may be along in a minute," said Pigbog urgently. "He's probably looking for somewhere to park his bike..." Good old Pigbog.
Motorcycle on the left, the Piaggio, has "height-adjustable seat to ensure comfort," which is important if you are a sad oversized child.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Greasy Johnson was a sad oversized child."
I think the license plates in Season 2 each tell a story. The numbers are a Bible code and the letters have a double meaning, a disambiguation.
The license plate is SP 08 BYS. If you apply Strong's Concordance, you get wretched in Hebrew and Abiathar in Greek.
The "sad oversized child" explains the wretched.
Abiathar was a high priest always getting confused with his father. Jesus and God are not the same. Jesus and Greasy Johnson won't be the same either.
BYS disambiguation is Bless your soul. SP is special.
The scooter/motorcycle on left is ridden by Greasy Johnson.
His mom does too?
Motorcycle license plate is DE 58 ANR. Strong's Concordance gives us a feminine coded word in Greek and Hebrew. Maybe a mother or girlfriend?
In Greek 58 means assembly place, which Whickber Street definitely is.
In Hebrew 58 means meadow or to grow green. Jesus' mom was Mary. There's a painting, Madonna del Prado (Madonna of the Meadow) made by Raphael when he was 23 years old. The ultimate show stopper painting got Raphael his gig at the Vatican.
ANR disambiguation is another. The DE is not or opposite. Not the mother, other mother? Other Mother!
Greasy Johnson is in town along with his Other Mother. But without the buttons.
An Over the Ocean Call to the Dowlings
I'm not sure why the Johnsons might be in town. Maybe he knows he's adopted?
Adam seems content in Tadfield. What about Warlock? Aziraphale and Crowley invested allot of time and love in that boy, they are his accidental occult godfathers.
Last we saw Warlock in the book he was headed to America with his mother. What role might he play in S3?
If Greasy Johnson learns he's adopted, does he look for his birth parents?
Maybe he contacts them and they come over the ocean to meet up?
Tumblr media
@aduckwithears points out the Thy Kingdom (Come) Airways and that the Second Coming is allot closer than we think.
The credits show this plane arriving crossing L to R, west to east, unnoticed over Aziraphale and Crowley's heads.
Maybe Warlock is already back in town, but not on a motorcycle.
Tumblr media
First street scenes of E1, these 2 step off the corner crossing the street. The male is in a hurry, female runs to catch up and they disappear into the crowd.
Is this Warlock and Harriet Dowling off to meet up with Greasy Johnson and his mum?
Or maybe that is Greasy Johnson and his Other Mother?
He's wearing a leather jacket, appropriate for motorbiking. Tall, but not really oversized. Young. Auburn hair.
The opening credits have a oversized red headed Jesus marching along. Coincidence?
Tumblr media
Either way, I think Jesus 2.0 / Greasy Johnson has entered the game in S1 E1 and the Second Coming is already afoot in Soho.
I had to make a chart because I kept confusing myself. Info based from Good Omens Wiki:
Warlock
Deirdre and Arthur Young (biological parents)
Harriet and Thaddeus Dowling (adoptive parents)
Greasy Johnson
Harriet and Thaddeus Dowling (biological parents)
TBD (adoptive parents)
Adam
Satan (original biological parent)
Deirdre and Arthur Young (adoptive parents and by will of Adam also biological parents)
*Tumblr ate my first draft. If I flubbed something, let me know.
