NEWKIDS NEWDREAMS 002 (PART 1 OF 2)

SCHEDULE TYPE: VARIABLE SCHEDULE RESTRICTIONS: - members taking part in WORKSHOP 002 CANNOT do the regular TRAINEE MISSION - members NOT in the workshop this trimester are expected to take part in the TRAINEE MISSION

the five trainees are back in the meeting room and just as last time, KIM HYUNCHEOL (the trainees' head manager), SEO YOUNGJAE (kim hyuncheol's assistant), PARK JEONGAN (current CEO), LEE ISEUL (head creative director) and LEE YONGSEOK (DBSD DAEHYUN's manager) are present with them. shortly after they are seated, 3 new trainees are hearded in:

HYUNCHEOL and YONGSEOK are the first to get up and introduce them as the new TRIAL MEMBERS. congratulations on passing the audition to all three of you !

NEWKIDS NEWDREAMS SYSTEM REMINDER

CORE MEMBERS (BAEK BYEONGKWAN, HAN NOEUL, KURAMOTO MISAKI, LAI WENJUN, XUE YICHEN): members currently set to be part of the debut group. as long as you do the requirements for NKND, you'll be kept in the group. should you want to drop out, simply ignore the requirements. one missed trimester will move your character to the TRIAL MEMBERS group.

TRIAL MEMBERS (HWANG MINKI, MAE JASPER, SUNG HANEUL): members currently on trial, should their performance during the trimester satisfy the coaches, they will be moved to the core group. to be moved to core members, trial members must do the requirements for NKND as well as the trainee mission/wokshop 002 this trimester. if you wish to drop out of the project, simply ignore the NKND requirements for a trimester and the character will be dropped

shortly after, none other than CHOI DAEHYUN of DBSD himself enters the room. his presence seems to fill it as soon as he steps in. after exchanging greetings, PARK JEONGAN addresses the people present. "as you've surely heard, we are opening a new subsidary, and from today on, CHOI DAEHYUN will be your boss." the last word is followed by a short amused chuckle. "DBSD, when founding USGEN, had a clear view of the company and what they want to achieve. and the 8 of you have been carefully picked by all the people present here with this view in mind. in the next couple of months, you'll be moving to the 7th floor, which will be fully dedicated, and only accessible to USGEN staff. don't worry, the rest of the building - except LGC AGENCY's foor - will still be accessible for you." he further explains. "this will be the last meeting that ISEUL and myself will be attending. Creative control will be handled by DBSD members themselves, while HYUNCHEOL, YOUNGJAE and YONGSEOK will be here to support you on the day to day matters until further notice."

once he's done talking, DAEHYUN finally speaks. "the members and i have been reviewing the content you've filmed so far. 'USGEN CHANNEL' will launch on MAY 1. i'll be introducing the company, our goals and plans on that day, as well as the NEWKIDS NEWDREAMS project. the first episodes of the show will actually be dedicated to reviewing your performances, for those who have filmed them. and, for those who havent, it's coming soon enough." his grin makes his words further more omnious for some reason. "our goal is to officially shift the videos to you 8 only on MAY 22, when NEW KIDZ ON THE BLOCK will be released digitally.

NEW KIDZ ON THE BLOCK

the basis of a new group is to introduce those part of it and this is what the first tasks of the boys will be about ! as this is content for a YOUTUBE CHANNEL, the tasks are divided in 'videos' that the boys will have to film:

NEW KIDZ ON THE BLOCK (TAKE 2): DBSD'S DAEHYUN has produced and written the THEME SONG for the youtube channel, titled NEW KIDZ ON THE BLOCK, it has already been recorded with the five first members, now that three more have joined, it will be rerecorded with them. The 8 MEMBERS audio and video performance will be the ones released to the public.

DOOM DUM DOOM: DBSD'S SEOHAN was tasked to compose, write and choreograph an anthem-sounding song that would show the future group's colors. the song titled 'DOOM DU DOOM' is the result. the group will be learning an practicing the song for the next month before they will be evaluated by a panel composed of DAEHYUN, SEOHAN and various coaches. if they should pass this evaluation, they will be filming the music video of the song some time in JUNE, with a digital release around JULY 8. all the lyrics for this trimester can be found HERE

SHOW US YOUR BEST (TRIAL MEMBERS ONLY): each members will record a solo performance* demonstrating what they are best at in terms of skills (singing, dancing, rapping and/or instuments are accepted)

SOLO PRACTICE (CORE MEMBERS ONLY): each member will be tasked to film themselves during their solo practice for about 1 hour. the skills they are practicing are up to them. this is to show the viewers and fans a window into their lives as trainees.

LANGUAGE BOOTCAMP: due to having less than 70 KOREAN LANGUAGE POINTS, KURAMOTO MISAKI and MAE JASPER have to participate in the language bootcamp, while LAI WENJUN will take part in it since he has less than 30 ENGLISH LANGUAGE POINTS. information on these bootcamps will be released later.

*only songs released by legacy artists or released by any artists BEFORE january 2022 are eligible

SHORTS

as written in the article, USGEN aims to be setting trends, and what better way to do so than use YOUTUBE SHORTS and TIKTOK. for fans to know them better, the members will be filming a 'SHALL WE KNOW' short (see JULIE and NATTY filming one HERE). each member will have to pick a LOCATION and OUTFIT that fits their IMAGE and PERSONALITY. if the location is outside of LEGACY, USGEN will book the location for a one hour shoot. another member will be in charge of FILMING the short and GIVING QUESTIONS. none of them will know the questions that will be asked prior to the short being filmed as the answers and actions need to be spontaneous. daehyun has only advice for the boys; go all out without shame !

on a final note, we are in the process of picking a leader of the final group. as it stands SUNG HANEUL and HAN NOEUL are the only one to have shown interest in the role. the second part of the mission that'll come later in the trimester will pertain to group leader trials. other than HANEUL, if your muse is interested in the role, please kindly let us know through direct message. i want to make it clear that the muse will need to VOLUNTEER for the role as, ic wise, none of them would be forced into this position.

WELCOME TO DAY6SOURCE !

This is a daily updates blog for the Korean pop rock band DAY6! I try to stay as current as possible, and post from all official resources, including their YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram, including ones used by the members themselves! I do not post from fansites or anything of the sort, nor will I be reblogging gifs or any fan creations. This is strictly for news and updates!

DAY6 are a four member self-written K-pop rock band from Seoul, South Korea under JYP Entertainment under the sub-label STUDIO J! They debuted September 7th, 2015 with their debut song ‘Congratulations’. Currently the group has 3 full studio albums, 8 mini albums, and 1 full and 2 Compilation Japanese albums. Young K & has 1 mini album and 1 full album and Wonpil has 1 mini album each respectively released. They currently have 1 subunit, DAY6 (Even of Day), which currently has 2 mini albums. The members currently include:

Sungjin (Park Sungjin): leader, rhythm guitarist, main vocalist

Born January 16th, 1993, Sungjin is the leader, guitarist, main vocalist, and oldest member of the band. Sungjin is partaking currently in uploading to his YouTube channel! Videos go up every other Monday at 6:00 PM KST. He is currently working on his first album.

Young K (Kang Younghyun, Brian Kang): bassist, main vocalist, main rapper

Born December 19th, 1993, Young K is the bassist, main vocalist and (now not as often) main rapper. He’s most responsible for most of the bands songs, and has written on nearly every single one, as well as having a large hand in composing them. He formerly hosted Idol Radio with Youngjae of GOT7 and DAY6 Kiss The Radio, in which he returned to after his enlistment. You can watch it occassionally online on the KBS CoolFM YouTube channel and every day on the KBS Radio site or KBS Kong app on your desktop or mobile device. Here’s some links about it here explaining the different ways and how to use & download them! He currently has a mini album called Eternal that was released September 6th, 2021 and a full album called Letters with notes that was released September 4th, 2023. He’s part of the subunit DAY6 (Even of Day) with Wonpil and Dowoon.

Wonpil (Kim Wonpil): keyboardist, main vocalist, visual

Born April 28th, 1994, Wonpil is keyboardist, main vocalist, and visual. Wonpil is also an actor, making his debut in March of 2021 starring in the musical Midnight Sun, and starred in the web drama Big Mistake 3 which aired from December 27th, 2021 to Feb 17th, 2022. He currently has an album called Pilmography that was released January 24th, 2022. He’s part of the subunit DAY6 (Even of Day) with Young K and Dowoon.

Dowoon (Yoon Dowoon): drummer, vocalist, maknae

Born August 25th, 1995, Dowoon is the drummer, vocalist, and maknae of the band. He currently has 1 single called ‘Out of the Blue’ with Song Heejin released September 27th, 2021. He’s leader of the subunit DAY6 (Even of Day) with Young K and Wonpil.

Former Members:

Jae (Park Jaehyung, Jae Park, eaj): lead guitarist, main vocalist, face of the group

Born September 15th, 1992, Jae is the former lead guitarist, main vocalist, and face of the group. He formerly hosted After School Club with former labelmate Park Jimin (now known as Jaime), and Kevin Woo formerly of U-KISS from June 28th, 2016 to July 17th, 2018. He later hosted a podcast as part of DIVE STUDIOS called How Did I Get Here? from February of 2020 to June 2021. On September 21st, 2020, he and former labelmate Nichkhun of 2PM, played members of crime-fighting boyband 4 2 Sing in season three of Big Hero 6: The Series. It was announced he left the group on December 31st, 2021 due to personal reasons. He’d formerly been on hiatus since May 10th, 2020 due to the mental health concerns of some of the members. Jae currently has three mini albums, laughing in insomnia released February 3rd, 2023, smiling in insomnia released April 21st, 2023, and medicated insomnia on June 30th, 2023. He also streams on his Twitch Channel.

Junhyeok (Lim Junhyeok): keyboardist, vocalist

Born July 17th, 1993, Junhyeok is a former keyboardist and vocalist of the band. He left the band in February of 2016 due to personal reasons. He currently has 5 singles on streaming, the latest being 'Blip', released June 10th, 2023. In 2017 he was on the KBS2 survival show The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project, but was eliminated in the second to last episode, and was on most recently on the MNET survival show Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival, but was eliminated in the 4th round.

Omg Kaz if you are too busy it's absolutely not obligatory but I was wondering if you could make a list of videos for getting to know got7? Like the one you made for pentagon! I don't know anything about got7 but I would like to and you always seem to have so many cool recommendations! Again only if you have the time and want to!! Thank you :-)

hi!!! i am not too busy! i'm aghase for life so i am very happy to help you out here, got7 is seriously one of the best groups ever, and one of the top 2 groups to come out of jyp. it's crazy that they got it so right twice in a row. 2pm are, like, the godfathers of got7, and it is actually pretty endearing to see that some of them are very close! junho considers jinyoung of got7 his dongsaeng and they are very good friends (as seen on junho's most recent i live alone appearance). more under the cut!

anyways. so, got7 are, in age order: mark (rapper, visual, american member), jayb (leader, main vocal), jackson (main rapper, face of the group, chinese member), jinyoung (lead vocal, dancer, visual, center, face of the group), youngjae (main vocal), bambam (rapper, thai member), yugyeom (main dancer, vocal, maknae).

the entire rap line of got7 is the international line or called the atk (amerithaikong) line, which is insane if you think about it. entire rap line (rap!!!!) made of some dudes who aren't even performing in their first language. that takes guts and talents. every member in the group has either produced or written songs for got7, jaebeom is their primary producer, but so are jinyoung and youngjae. yugyeom, too. jinyoung has been known to choreograph for the group, and vigilantly monitors their performances. bambam is the most fashion forward member and it is all over his body of work, which is so exciting.

jackson is jackson, like, that is literally jackson wang and if you open youtube and type in his name you will find tons of videos because he is really the face of the group and a very well established solo artist, too. here is his latest big single blow which is truly a serve, the earworm inducing 100 ways, and my personal favorite LMLY. here is jackson answering the web's most searched questions and his little stint on the late late show with james corden.

anyways, moving on.

got7 song association, elle; this is a very easy and breezy intro to who got7 is and their very own, personal brand of clownery.

got7 takes a friendship test, glamour; this is one of my favorite videos of got7, and my comfort video too. it is funny and sweet and you learn a lot about the members and their chemistry.

7 things you don't know about got7, mtv news; another easy and fun one.

Interview with people tv; probably their most iconic interview for a lot of hysterical reasons. this is 24 minutes long but not a single minute is wasted.

got7 hard carry season 2 & 2.5; so, the entirety of this was on got7's vlive channel but vlive has been eaten by weverse (fuck hybe, man) so here is a youtube playlist of some bits and pieces. this was the show that made me fall irrevocably in love with got7. season 2.5 is on youtube in its entirety, and i'm pretty sure if you look for season 2 on the usual sites, they might have uploaded it there.

got7's TMI lab, M2; what it says on the tin. the first episode is not subbed, so just start with the second. lots of fun nonsense here. got7 truly are variety idol royalty.

performances:

nanana mv; their latest comeback and the first after leaving jyp.

crash & burn, be original; yugyeom and jackson choreographed this. one of the coolest performances they have ever done.

crash & burn, music bank; they performed live here and i always include this in my recs because of youngjae's stunning live adlibs (at 3:00). he is on par with minjun of 2pm as the best vocalist jyp has ever had. it's truly bonkers.

you are van live; this is my favorite got7 title track and this is one of the best and funniest and realest things they have ever done. live performers.

never ever cooking live; they sing and decorate a cake. what is not to adore.

1° tape; their live performance of spinning top's 1°. one of the best songs in their entire discography, written by yugyeom. everyone is so stunning here, especially youngjae.

if you do, mbc music festival; iconic performance of an absolutely perfect track. they slowed it down in the first half but the performance does not suffer whatsoever.

just right comeback stage; their big breakthrough hit. like 2pm, rookie got7 were known for their intense martial arts choreography.

lullaby pyjama version; live in living color, baby! this song has insanely fun choreography.

AAA awards medley; the greatest to ever do it. absolute beasts.

poison, be original; this is just a great song with such clever choreography (by jinyoung, yugyeom and jackson), once again. there is one performance where jinyoung forgot his handkerchief.

runaway, 6th fanmeeting; the only time they performed the greatest track in their entire discography live. written and produced by jinyoung.

breath (written and produced by youngjae), you are, fan favorite page, encore, not by the moon, thursday, you calling my name (including yugyeom’s very own gashina moment)

on top of it all, the members all have solo careers. jaebeom has released under his stage name jay b (including the breakdancing he was known for in got7) and his producer tag Def. yugyeom is at AOMG, which houses LeeHi and GRAY, and has released quite a bit solo stuff. his collab with gray, all your fault, is absolutely brilliant and required listening. bambam is at abyss now, the same label sunmi is at, and has shown the world that he is a true allrounder. he is now a fixed cast member of variety show master in the house.

youngjae is at sublime, the very same company handling all of jackson's korean releases, and i just want them to finally make jjap jjap project a real thing. here they both are on youngjae's radio show, best friend! youngjae starred in midnight sun (musical) last year, and he starred in so not worth it, netflix's first korean sitcom, and it is as delightful as it sounds. his solo music is very poppy and cool; here is sugar, his latest comeback. youngjae is such a special case because he only trained for a few months after he got into jyp, and then debuted straight off the bat as the main vocal. he won awards in high school for his singing and he made it a point to often perform fully live (occasionally blowing out his voice in the process, but hey, that's dedication.)

jinyoung is the most established actor in all of got7. he most recently starred in the second season of yumi's cells, and the tvn drama The Devil Judge (HUGE recommendation). he had a cameo in the first episode of reborn rich, and starred in he is psychometric and when my love blooms. he has just released his first solo album, but his first ever solo release dive is outstanding. perfect pop rock.

mark has released an entire solo album, including the singles last breath, my life, and lonely. those songs are so mind-bogglingly good, it is hard to comprehend that got7's most introverted member just came out of the gate swinging right away.

their best albums imo are: spinning top, call my name, 7 for 7, breath of love, and the entire flight log trilogy that has to be seen as a full body of work.

flight log is got7's own, lore heavy narrative (like bts' most beautiful moment), that starts with flight log: departure and corresponding title track fly, is continued by flight log: turbulence and iconic got7 banger hard carry, and ends with flight log: arrival and the incomparable never ever. jinyoung is the protagonist of the story, and it is all very, y'know. life and death. very tragic and beautiful.

Backstory: It wasn’t a secret that he was in love with your voice. He always enjoyed the content you shared on your YouTube channel and when he saw that you dropped a new song cover he had to watch it right away.

Mark

Mark had a feeling that you were going to do something different, but he wasn’t expecting this. When you covered ‘What Do You Do?’ by Papa Roach, he figured that something crazy was coming soon. Screaming wasn’t something that he was into but he didn’t mind it when you did it.

“Wow, they are really good! I like that it’s doesn’t sound harsh or like - you know what I mean? Right?” *embarrassed smiling laugh*

Jaebeom

As a lover of your R&B covers, Jaebeom is more than surprised when he hears you scream. He was already surprised by you singing something that was out of the norm, but he didn’t hate it. The rawness of of your voice spoke to him and he ends up watching the video at least three more times, just getting lost in your voice.

“They can really do anything, huh? Wha! They are so talented.”

Jackson

As someone who is always trying out new song styles, Jackson is impressed. Extremally impressed because he had no idea that you could make your voice sound so rough. He would pause the video and rewind back just to hear you scream again, ‘cause damn!

“What?! What?!” *Looks around even though no one is around him* “T-They can scream? Holy shit, that’s insane!”

Jinyoung

Jinyoung tries hard not to go into your videos with any exaptation because you blow them out of the water every single time. He had no idea who Cassyette was or what the song September Rain sounded like, so when you started singing he was in awe...again. He liked the difference in your voice, it was light and heavy with emotion. The moment he heard you scream, he froze. What was that? Did that come from you? He would let the video play all the way through before rewinding to your scream and just listening to the way your voice carried the note.

“Wow, I didn’t know they were into this type of singing. It sounds so smooth like they aren’t even screaming.”

Youngjae

As someone who really does enjoy every single thing you post, Youngjae is shook. If someone held up the shocked Pikachu face next to him, they wouldn’t be able to spot the difference. The man’s mind is blown, why were you so good?

*wide eyed just staring at the screen* “Wha! They are the best! I have to listen to it again!”

Bambam

Okay, wait...d-did you just scream? Bambam was so excited about you trying something new. He couldn’t believe it, this was something he didn’t think you would ever try. Bambam needed to call his agent, now! He needs to collab with you right away. How can you be so good? Doesn’t that hurt your throat?

*Jumping around dancing along to the song* “This would have been a good song for a music video. Man, I hope they will agree to work with me.”

Yugyeom

Poor guy got the notification a little after he woke up. He was home, so he watched the video in front of his smart tv and nearly choked on his coffee the moment he heard you scream. He had to pause the video to get himself under control and once he hit play he was stuck. How did you do that? It was flawless, effortless and so freaking powerful. It wasn’t anything close to metal which did it make him want to try it just a little bit, just for fun.

*Slapping his chest trying not to die* “Could’ve given a warning! Jeez...what a voice!”

But one night you’re over at his, letting bagel and coco have some bonding time while you watch Hotel for Dogs, and it starts raining

The dogs are asleep, the light of the TV is hitting Youngjae’s face as he tries not to cry at the scene in front of you and the only thing you’re thinking is “I’m so glad my dog got your dog pregnant, because I don’t think I’d want to do this with anyone else”

But what you also don't notice is that when you're falling asleep on Youngjae's shoulder at the end of the movie he's thinking the exact same thing

He's more thinking "I'm so glad I get to be here with you, even if your dog did get my princess pregnant" while staring at you with the softest smile on his face

anyway one night it’s like 3AM or something and you’re asleep, as one would expect

but your phone keeps buzzing and ur like ‘dear whatever higher power exists please let this insanity stop’

and it does!!

until someone starts caLLING

and at this point ur just fed up so you answer the phone and ur like “idc WHO THIS IS it is thREE IN THE DAMN MORNING so you BETTER have a good fuckin reason for calling” until u realize it’s youngjae practically SCREECHING in panic mode on the other end

the moment u hear this ur like “OK DON’T MOVE I’LL BE THERE ASAP” and running out the door in ur pjs with like mismatching shoes and scooping up bagel like “don’t freak out but ur about to be a dad” but all he does is lick ur nose and smile and u curse urself for owning a cutie patootie pup

with your phone in one hand and bagel’s leash in the other you’re trying to get youngjae to stop panicking and then you hear someone in the background yell “dude tell your s/o to hurry up” and your only thought is EXCUSE ME?? S/O?????

but this mf doesn’t even DENY it, he just yells back “SHUT UP THEY’RE ALREADY ON THEIR WAY” and you’re just like slkdjfljs????? Coco is having babies we will deal with this Later(tm) while telling Youngjae to hurry up and let you into his apartment

He lets you in and as you get to the door, Youngjae opens it and it is.........a hot mess

Coco’s in a cardboard box, there’s some sort of clear liquid in a puddle on the floor, you can hear a dryer going on in the background, and Youngjae is wearing an old anime tshirt with bright pink pjs and has like floofy bed head with his glasses sliding down his nose bridge but STILL manages to look like a goddamn snack???

but again, you have next to no time because bagel basically jumps out of your arms and pulls you to coco and Youngjae is talking your ear off

“there’s water in her bowl, I’ve got blankets in the dryer, the internet said to have dental floss in case we need to tie an umbilical cord, oh shit we need to call the vet oh my god how could I for-"

The only way to cut him off is to literally grab him by the shoulders and shake him

But you also very lightly push his glasses back up on his nose and fix his hair while teasing him

"You have to be presentable when you meet your grandchildren for the first time ^.^"

When I tell you this man's heart BURSTS!!!!!

But he can't do anything about it right now because "hey dude I've got the vet on the phone, when did coco start going into labour?"

So you do the only thing you know how to do: you make sure your babies are okay

Youngjae is monitoring coco like his life depends on it and you are making sure bagel isn't destroying anything he shouldn't be near and youngjae's brother is in the background like should I go back to bed now orrrrrr

You're too focused on trying to get youngjae to keep calm that you don't even notice the fact that you two are A: holding hands and B: youngjae has been low key sniffing your hair to keep him grounded because he likes the scent of your shampoo

You're literally this man's rock right now because he is dying of panic and the next 15 minutes are truly life changing

As it turns out, coco isn't a princess. she's a QUEEN.

She gives birth to three adorable little babies with no complications, who are named coffee (because coffee and bagel), puff (because coco puffs), and donut (because it's like a coco flavoured bagel)!!

After all is said and done, the pups are nursing and bagel and coco look so happy together

You're wondering what's next for you two, especially because you're still holding hands but now it's because neither of you want to let go oops

"I've had like three hours of sleep in the past week because I couldn't stop thinking about this happening so allow me a moment to be absolutely insane" he rushes out as you look at him

You nod slowly because you can kind of see where he's going but also it's still 5:30 in the morning and you guys just helped deliver 3 puppies so your mind is still kind of frazzled

All of GOT7 decide not to re-sign with JYP Entertainment

All of GOT7 will be leaving JYP Entertainment.

The boys' contract with JYP Entertainment ended recently after they signed in 2014. An insider said, "The GOT7 members are all very close. They wanted to stay together, but they split on which label to stay with. After a lot of talking, they decided to go their separate ways."

The only person whose new label is confirmed is Jinyoung, who will be signing with BH Entertainment. Yugyeom is rumored to be signing with AOMG, Youngjae is rumored to be signing with Sublime Artist, Jackson will be continuing with his Team Wang, and Mark will be returning to America where he'll be preparing his own YouTube channel.

Another insider said, "The members love GOT7. They promised to set aside time to do GOT7 promotions."

TRAINEE MISSION 016

SCHEDULE TYPE: TRIMESTER ( PART 1 OUT OF 1 ) SCHEDULE RESTRICTIONS: Cannot be paired with another trimester schedule, unless stated otherwise. for reference as to whether your muse is eligible for this event, please click over HERE.

it’s the start of the new year and after spending months playing various traditional korean games, some of the trainees are curious to know what will be in store for them this time around. as all of them are gathered inside the auditorium for their quarterly meetings, they soon noticed SEO YOUNGJAE standing in front of the stage with a microphone at hand.

“for this term, all of you will be participating in VARIETY SHOWS inspired by some of the classics that many of you should know; running man, infinite challenge, x-men, 2 days, 1 night, etc.” YOUNGJAE continues to explain the details of the project that they will be partaking for this term. “since there are so many trainees at the moment, we will be splitting all of you up to two groups; ONE for the BOYS and ONE for the GIRLS. while all of you will be the center of attention on these variety shows specials, all of you will be accompanied by some rather famous people you may know.” the coach then introduces V&A’s JEON HARU, FABULA’S MOON HAYOUNG and OH EUNHYE, TYPE ZERO’S SU PARKER and YOO DAEHO.

reactions could be heard loudly from the trainees and after everyone becomes quiet, YOUNGJAE calls each trainee by name and hands them details regarding what their schedule will entail.

VARIETY SHOW GROUPS

as YOUNGJAE mentioned, the groups will be split up by GENDER. the BOYS will be filming their own version of ‘FAMILY OUTING’, a variety show aired during 2008. it is considered one of the quintessential korean variety shows and a show that paved the way for many other variety shows due to the “family” dynamic, games, and activities.

on the other hand, the GIRLS will be filming their own version of ‘INVISIBLE YOUTH’, a variety show aired during 2009. it’s a variety show featuring kpop idols and how it is to experience the korean rural outdoors. the show became such a hit that it began promoting agritourism and environmentally conscious farming.

both of these shows will be combined into one called ‘LEGACY VARIETY SPECIAL’, which will be aired on LGCENT’s youtube channel starting APRIL. all of the episodes will be around 30 minutes long.

FAMILY OUTING - BOYS

from FEBRUARY 23-25, all of the MALE TRAINEES, HARU, PARKER, and DAEHO will be spending their weekend in NAMHAE COUNTY. all of them will be arriving at NAMHAE sometime during the afternoon ( in the case of the IDOLS, they will leave after they are done with the LGC WEBTOON EXHIBITION & SHOWCASE ). the IDOLS will be taking on the role of the HEAD OF THE FAMILY, so they will be the ones finding ways to make the content entertaining and take on the main emcee role if need be.

FRIDAY ( EPISODES 1-4; AIRING ON APRIL 9, 11, 16, and 18 )

all of the MALE TRAINEES will be split into two traditional houses based on whether they are the JUNIOR or SENIOR group. after all of them pick their beds, each of them will be asked to enter the ‘INTERVIEW ROOM’ where they will be in front of a camera recording and be asked questions regarding their thoughts and opinions about the experience so far. throughout the weekend, they will be given a chance to enter that room multiple times. each interview should last around 5 minutes or less to encourage everyone to appear at least once.

as for the IDOLS, they will be living in a separate traditional house with the rest of the staff members. all three of the idols will be staying in the same bedroom. similar to the trainees, they will have an ‘INTERVIEW ROOM’ where they can discuss their thoughts.

when everyone is present at the location, the IDOLS will introduce themselves to the trainees and all of them will meet the HOMEOWNERS of the houses they will be staying in the meantime. while the HOMEOWNERS go off on their short vacation, the IDOLS will be handed a list of household chores that all of them will have to do before the HOMEOWNERS return. they will be told that while completing the chores, there will be some challenges along the way.

CHALLENGE #1: the MALE TRAINEES will be split up into two groups; JUNIOR and SENIOR. they will be playing the TELEPATHY GAME and whoever wins the most rounds of the game will be the one GATHERING INGREDIENTS and CLEANING. the losing team will be PREPARING and COOKING tonight’s dinner. WINNING TEAM: JUNIOR / LOSING TEAM: SENIOR. the IDOLS will be playing rock, paper, scissors against each other to determine who gets what responsibility. PARKER will be joining the SENIOR TEAM while HARU and DAEHO will be joining the JUNIOR team. after dinner, the IDOLS will play another round of rock, paper, scissors, this time it’s PARKER and DAEHO as they compete over which group will be doing late night/early morning chores while the winning team will be sleeping earlier. whoever loses will be facing the consequences and that team will be the JUNIOR team.

SATURDAY ( EPISODES 5-8; AIRING APRIL 23, 25, 30, and MAY 2 )

the JUNIOR team ( plus HARU and DAEHO ) will be waking up around 4:00AM to prepare and cook breakfast for all of the boys. by around 9:00AM the SENIOR team ( plus PARKER ) will be woken up to have breakfast. after breakfast, both teams will be in three groups ( with each IDOL being the leader of the group ) as they work on some of the chores on their list ( eg. cleaning the house, washing dishes, feeding and taking care of the lamb and sheep, watering and tending the plants, etc ).

lunch time will be relatively the same, with all of the BOYS gathered in the center spot of the three houses and playing another challenge to determine who gets to gather ingredients, clean, cook, and prepare lunch.

CHALLENGE #2: teams will be split based on age. anyone who was born BEFORE NOVEMBER 1, 2001 will be in the OLD team ( this includes PARKER and DAEHO ) and anyone who was born AFTER NOVEMBER 1, 2001 will be in the YOUNG team ( this includes HARU ). both teams will be playing the RELAY DRAWING GAME, where the majority of the team will be asked to draw MOVIE/TV SHOW/DRAMA characters and one person will be the one guessing what the character is. this will go on for several rounds until a team reaches 5 POINTS first. WINNING TEAM: OLD TEAM ( will be cooking and preparing lunch ) / LOSING TEAM: YOUNG TEAM ( will be gathering ingredients and cleaning after lunch ).

continuation of the BOYS completing the chores until it’s almost DINNER time when they will be doing another challenge.

CHALLENGE #3: teams will be split based on training period again ( JUNIOR vs SENIOR ) and PARKER will be the HOST for this segment while HARU ( JUNIOR TEAM ) and DAEHO ( SENIOR TEAM ) will be playing one of the rounds of the QUICK RESPONSE GAME. their round will give 5 points to the winning team. as for everyone else, they will be doing one on one battles against each other with the game and whoever is the first to block the toy hammer OR hit the other person with the toy hammer will be the winner for their round. WINNING TEAM: SENIOR TEAM ( will be cooking and preparing lunch ) / LOSING TEAM: JUNIOR TEAM ( will be gathering ingredients and cleaning up after dinner ).

after dinner is done, they will have a segment called “LATE NIGHT CONVERSATIONS” where they will all gather around the bonfire outside and discuss any memorable instances during the day or messages that they would like to tell each other. when it’s around 10PM, all of them will get a chance to do some stargazing before they head back to their respective houses and sleep.

SUNDAY ( EPISODES 9-10; AIRING MAY 7 and 9 )

around the same time as the day before, the IDOLS are woken up first as they’re given the task to wake up all of the TRAINEES the fastest. whoever wakes up the most TRAINEES before 6AM will be given a chance to visit some of the rural villages of NAMHAE at a later time while everyone finishes the last bit of chores. WINNER: PARKER. as part of his reward, he gets to choose which people he would like in his team while everyone else will finish the remaining tasks.

half of the losing team will be given the task to go FISHING and their goal is to catch as many as they could within the next 4 HOURS. the other half will be given the task to take care of the lamb and sheep. lunch will be happening at different times for all three of the groups.

sometime around 1PM, the HOMEOWNERS will be returning back from vacation and bid the family farewell as everyone heads back to the buses, thus ending the filming for the show.

INVISIBLE YOUTH - GIRLS

from MARCH 1-3, all of the girls, HAYOUNG, and EUNHYE will be going to YUCHI-RI VILLAGE in HONGCHEON-GUN, which is the same location the first season of the show was filmed in. they will arrive at their destination late in the morning.

FRIDAY ( EPISODES 11-14; AIRING MAY 14, 16, 21, and 23 )

when all of them arrive, HAYOUNG and EUNHYE will act as the ‘VILLAGE CHIEF MCS’ ( they can decide on their personal nicknames for the show, but it must be related to farming ), where they will ask questions and get to know the female trainees to get an idea of how they feel about working in the farm for the weekend. then the two of them will collect all of the girls’ mobile phones and technological gadgets, which will then be kept with the staff to get the immersive experience. afterwards, they will meet with the rest of the villagers and get to know them and their roles/occupations.

to break the ice and have some fun with the elderly, the trainees and idols will be asked to have their impromptu talent show. trainees and/or idols can work solo or in small groups of 2-3 to create a performance that will entertain the villagers ( however, everyone can only perform ONCE and each performance will last around 1-2 minutes long ).

later on that day, the groups will be split into two; FRUIT TEAM ( led by HAYOUNG ) and CHICKEN TEAM ( led by EUNHYE ). the FRUIT team will consist of the girls from the JUNIOR training group while the CHICKEN team will consist of the girls from the SENIOR training group. the FRUIT TEAM will be given the task to go around the village and help the villagers collect any fruits that are ripe and ready to be sold or eaten and place them in boxes to give to the other families. meanwhile, the CHICKEN TEAM will be helping some of the farms clean the chicken coops.

it’ll be late afternoon when both teams are done with their tasks so they will be heading back home, where there are three traditional houses ( one for the junior group, one for the senior group, and one for the idols plus the staff ). similar to the boys, each of the houses has an ‘INTERVIEW ROOM’, where they can discuss their thoughts and feelings about their experience so far. it’ll be open multiple times throughout the day and each trainee and idol HAS to enter the room and participate in the interview segment at least once. due to the number of people involved in this show, everyone will be sleeping on futons.

with dinner all prepared for them, the girls will take the time to talk about how their day has been so far. both HAYOUNG and EUNHYE will act as the group facilitators, making sure that everyone has a chance to talk and to keep the conversations entertaining for the viewers. when dinner is done, everyone will be heading back to their houses and resting for the next day.

SATURDAY ( EPISODES 15-18; AIRING MAY 28, 30, JUNE 4 and 6 )

after having breakfast and getting ready for the day, all of them will meet up at the center of the three houses and film their introduction for today’s episode. the girls will be heading to a house where the OLDEST person ( BAEK MINHEE ) in the village lives. as a way to entertain and get to know the family, they will have a dance battle challenge! teams will be split based on age; anyone who was born before JANUARY 30, 2002 will be in the OLD TEAM while anyone born after JANUARY 30, 2002 will be in the YOUNG TEAM. HAYOUNG will be the leader of the YOUNG TEAM while EUNHYE will be the leader of the OLD TEAM. each of the girls ( minus the leaders, who will be the ones supporting the teams ) will have a one vs one dance battle to see who can impress and entertain BAEK MINHEE. WINNING TEAM: OLD TEAM / LOSING TEAM: YOUNG TEAM. the winning team will be given the TREE TASK while the losing team will be given the WOODEN FENCE TASK.

for the TREE TASK, the girls will be helping the BAEK family trim the old trees and plant new ones for their farm. for the WOODEN FENCE TASK, they will be helping the rest of the BAEK family chop wood and create a fence ( using the chopped wood and tree branches ) around a particular area of their farm.

when it’s close to dinner time, the same teams will be working on gathering ingredients, preparing, cooking, and cleaning. the OLD TEAM will be preparing and cooking dinner while the YOUNG TEAM will be gathering ingredients and cleaning up afterwards.

before all of them head to bed, they will take some time to stargaze and have a heart to heart conversation with each other. in between all of this, each of the girls will be asked to go to the INTERVIEW ROOM where they will have to vote on who they think had the most impact on them that day. when all of that is done, they will head to bed to get some rest and finish the last day of filming.

SUNDAY ( EPISODES 19-20; AIRING JUNE 11 and 13 )

just like the day before, after getting ready and breakfast they will meet with a group of vendors who sell some of their homemade products. all of the groups will be split into two groups; TEAM JUICE ( junior trainee group / leader: HAYOUNG ), TEAM SOAP BAR ( senior trainee group / leader: EUNHYE ). the vendors will hand each of the groups 50 of their products and those will have to be sold around the village and nearby areas the quickest. whoever sells all of them the fastest and returns back home will be given a chance to rest for an hour while the losing team will have to cook lunch for everyone. WINNING TEAM: TEAM JUICE / LOSING TEAM: TEAM SOAP BAR.

after lunch, filming will conclude as all of them gather and say their final farewell before heading to their buses.

as a reminder for everyone, all of the threads should be about what will be filmed/aired so as expected, please be professional about it! in addition, since there will be some groups busy with other events ( eg. mentor workshops ) they will be doing less requirements than everyone else.

I just finished watching Mark’s video.

It feels not like a good bye but like a “see you later.”

Mark even said once that it feels like he is on vacation still it hasn’t sunk in to him that he actually moved back home to LA.

He cleared out his place in Seoul. He packed up his things and has a new place where he will live in LA.

I am actually not sad.

I am happy for Mark and his journey. It was always going to bring him back home at some point and I am glad he has that opportunity to return home after so many years and maybe put down some roots in America for his career also. I do believe his is going back to LA to not only spend time with his family but also to pursue his career in different aspect. I am very excited for him. Making new music and focusing more on his solo endeavors.

Mark has been a member that I have been wanting more from for some time. It is so hard for each member to have their own moments to shine because they are in a group and the group project is in the priority.

But with this time where GOT7 have left JYPE the members have great chance to show us their individual star power. I am very happy for Mark and excited for what is to come for him.

He started a YouTube channel and will be releasing music. He is a very capable person with a lot of ambition I believe he can do anything that he sets his mind to and he always have support from Ahgase and his members.

What I really love is how GOT7 members all support each other’s solo projects and careers. There is no competition to be better or out do each other it’s all love and appreciation for each other. It’s such a beautiful thing that I believe is so pure and heart warming.

Mark was sent off by Jaebeom, Jackson and Yugyeom, Jinyoung video called while they were together. Then when Mark was at the airport Youngjae called him, then lastly BamBam video called Mark while he was waiting for his flight.

These are thing showing that GOT7 members are very close and mean a lot to each other. Even though they are all busy they take time to show their care and support for Mark and make sure he knows how much they love and will miss him. They will see each other again and make music together it just will take some time to sort out all the details.

I believe in GOT7 ability to come together to make music again.

They are by no means done being a group. They in fact have only just begun! They finally have freedom to do what they want and to choose what path they all want to go on together. They have a loyal supportive global fan base in ahgase, and they are very valuable as a group and individually. If they wanted they could even team up with a label that would give them ability to promote in America and other global markets. GOT7 can make their own music without someone telling them it’s not their color. They have endless possibilities.

I am very excited for the future of GOT7 and all members individually.

Got7 have purged JYPE from their Insta and Facie, they are keeping the VLive channel and making the paid content free. Youngjae is thriving in his new home as evidenced by his lives and photo updates. Mark is rapidly approaching 2 million YouTube subscribers and his only video so far is thanking fans for 1 million subscribers.

Stay tuned for more updates that feel like warm hugs from the boys.
