do the last (4) jedi ever consult quinlan vos if they realize they don't know something lol? i think it'd be hilarious if they've struggled to piece together their remaining jedi knowledge for years with their varying levels of training and force ghost aid only to find out that there's been a temple-trained jedi master kicking around this entire time.
realistically they probably don't find out he's alive, but this idea's too good to pass up

Din Djarin: Jedi Knight, Crush of many Padawans, reluctant master
He was found by Obi-Wan at his homeplanet, taken to the Temple and raised there. Order 66 never happened and Ahsoka took him as Padawan so he's officially part of the disaster lineage. Luke grew up idolizing him and has a bigass crush on him ;3
Other Stuff: [Mando Luke]

Non-attachment is to train ourselves not to base our sense of well-being and security on having coming and passing elements of reality in our lives. It's not an easy thing to do. This is why Jedi younglings are taken to the Jedi Temple and raised by Jedi Masters as early as possible, and this is exactly why at age 10, someone is already too old to be trained as a Jedi Knight, and why they're a risk. A Jedi Knight is supposed to be free from attachments, and it's simply way harder to retrain our minds to let go of attachments and to avoid forming them in the future, than to learn non-attachment before we start to grasp and cling on things, beings and the ego. Luke Skywalker was able to do it - Anakin Skywalker wasn't.

I don’t remember who came up with this idea so if you’re seeing this: I’m sorry I drew this a way back and completely forgot about it in my sketchbook 😭

Behold: Luke taking the younglings to Space McDonalds™ and letting them wreak havoc on the playground while he takes a much needed lunch break

Since we haven’t started the @jedijune prompts yet, I thought I’d just do a bit of a teaser for what I have planned.
A lot of my Jedi content this month will focus on their relationship with younglings, and there’s not better way to start things off than to remind you all that Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi actually spoils kids a lot and always has.

There’s just so much softness and love and fondness here, and it’s beautiful.
+ Bonus: Yes, he spoiled Anakin too, just a bit <3

My thoughts on the announcement of a new SW film about Rey and rebuilding the Jedi Order
Tumblr media
First off...
VINDICAAAAAATIOOOOOOON!
Turns out all of those click bait YouTube videos about how the sequels would be erased/rebooted/retconned out were lying out of their asses and just saying what people wanted to hear because youtube's algorithm favors negativity
In any case, here are the things I want to see in the movie
Bisexual Rey, let her being the successor to Obi-Wan's Bi energy
Rose, see above
Millennium Falcon in Jedi colors, I want to see the old girl refurbished and given a new coat of paint with the Jedi emblem, and Chewbacca is in this movie as the Jedi chauffeur
speaking of returning characters, R2 and 3P0, gotta have em, no arguments allowed,
Ghost Luke, get Mark Hamill back as Luke in the spirit guide role
(also have something where Luke acknowledges/approves of Rey taking on the Skywalker name so people will shut up about that)
Acknowledge Finn as a Jedi in some way, I know John Boyega is rightfully done with the franchise over how he was treated, so how about instead we get so mention of him in the film, a passing mention of "Master Finn" or "Finn is off on a mission with his Padawan"
X-Wings, Jedi edition, I love Jedi starfighters, so I want Rey and the new Jedi to have their own model of X-Wing, built and designed for Jedi pilots
Return of that classic Jedi fashion style, specifically in Rey's case I want her to have robes like Ep I Obi-Wan
Jedi babies, show me the Younglings
Jedi Momma Rey
given that the official description for the movie involves Rey defending the rebuilding Jedi Order, I expect to see Rey protecting the younglings
Tumblr media
similar note, but there's something I hope for the plot, Rey is obviously the main character, but maybe there's a pack of Jedi Padawans as the supporting characters
and for my most left-field, "unlikely to happen but god it would be amazing" thing I want to happen...
Old Master Reva
have Reva return, now in her 80s, as a Jedi Master and advisor to Rey, maybe she can be the Creche-Master watching over the younglings

ok now that I have actually FINISHED the OG trilogy with the background knowledge of the prequels, I will say this:
I finished the prequels off with jokes about how much Padme deserved to take revenge on her loser husband, and defended those jokes with, “original themes of love, forgiveness, and redemption be darned.”
Having actually watched the OG trilogy after that, though, I will say that I understand Luke’s forgiveness better too. And who he is and who Anakin is in that interaction. And it was very good. Amazing, even! It was touching and meaningful and pure and I appreciated it.
So you may be thinking I have been converted back to the original themes!
But no. That is only half true.
Only Luke could have ended Anakin’s story with forgiveness. (Well… Leia could’ve, but I don’t think she would’ve.) It was the kind of ending that worked best with the child Anakin thought he had lost and the father Luke had never known— the love they’d always had for who they thought the other would be.
Whereas if Padme had survived, she still deserved raging, world-changing, galaxy-saving revenge. 😌 Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

This Parallel of Anakin and a young Reva, and of a grownup Reva and a young Luke Skywalker and of a grownup Luke Skywalker and younger Kylo Ren is the most powerful Parallel I’ve ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!
Difference is unlike Anakin, Reva and Luke Skywalker didn’t go through with the act of killing.

People out here saying that Anakin and Padme deserved to raise their children and whatever.
You know what? Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion but I’m not really on that. Maybe it’s because Anakin committed genocides, mass murders and killed a lot of children. And Padme not only let him get away with it once, she was ready to do it again when she asked him to run away with her in rots.
But that’s not what I’m here to argue because no matter how you feel about who raised Luke and Leia, I think it’s generally safe to say that Obi-Wan deserved to be their uncle-figure.
I will stand on this hill.

This head cannon has been said millions of times before on here but I'm just gonna say it again for the people in the back!!
The reason R2D2 never stayed at Luke's ship (despite Luke outright telling him to) is becuse 25 or so years earlier anakin told R2 the same thing and he never returned R2 doesn't want the fate that was brought upon to anakin to happen to Luke :(

"The Jedi have to grow again from scratch, so Luke has to find two- and three-year-olds, and train them. It’ll be 20 years before you have a new generation of Jedi." - George Lucas on his plans for a third trilogy

Lucas really made Luke’s uncle Owen his dad’s stepbrother that said dad only met once and went ‘yep, good enough, that’s exactly the same thing as them being blood relatives’ and y’all keep thinking he still intended Jedi adopting kids as a bad thing and never thought of them as being family

The fact that Yoda used to teach little younglings makes the fact that he has to train Luke Skywalker as a grown adult disproportionately hilarious.
