The human body has 12-13 visible holes in it. 12 for men and 13 for women. (I'm talking about biology.) We add extra holes in different ways. Mainly when we add piercing to ourselves. So, there are some out there with more than 100 (visible) holes in their bodies. It's strange that we add them to ourselves willingly. I don't see it as mutilating your body. No. I see it as adding your personality to it. Add as many as you want. Be who you want to be. They just add to your beauty. Express yourself in any way possible regardless of others' opinions of you. You will find someone who will accept and love you both physically, mentally, and romantically. It just takes time.
I hope you all are having a great day so far. I know this started out strange, but I hope the ending made you smile and love yourself more. Be yourself. Not who others want you to be. You are loved even if you don't believe so. I love you. So, keep shining and confident in yourself.

The Loving of an Art and the Art of Loving
Take a black pen and draw on my body,
almost as if tattooing me,
but not quite there yet, no, not really.
Take a black pen and draw on my body,
leave forever behind yourself
and let the tip float over my skin.
Take a black pen and draw on my body,
don't let the thought wander off,
find the sacred place and out let it spill.
Take a black pen and draw on my body,
then snatch the cap and close it
and leave my lying there with burning skin.
Take a back pen and draw on my body,
for maybe, once you stop,
you will let your fingers carve out red ink.

finally got my chest piece finished! 💜
meet Jörmungandr, the World Serpent. he’s in the process of letting go of his tail, which signals the start of Ragnarök. (because where’s the fun if there isn’t some destruction involved.) yes i have a thing for norse mythology (i even studied it last semester).
this iteration (ie the cover-up of a 2012 half-finished tatt that i got while i was an au pair in London), started end of 2019 and then bloody covid and my health issues happened and got in the way. and since i can’t do full-day sittings anymore and have a max of 2 hours instead, it took longer than it might have otherwise.
but now it’s done! and i have booked an appointment for the next one! in 2 weeks i’m getting started on a hip/high thigh piece. i can finally concentrate on new stuff rather than finishing the cover-up.
the chest piece (even before the cover-up started) had been going on for so long, that i didn’t want to get anything new until it was finished, i refused to stay with it half finished for longer than necessary. 😅🤣
