Pigs at the trough. The same sad story of government waste and overspending we see every damned day. It’s so common we can’t even bother to be shocked anymore. Just sickening. And stupid. No wonder our taxes are so high and our government is so broke.

Why look like professionals? Many senators don't act like ones. The tragic thing about this is that they likely would have changed the dress code for Fetterman D-PA even if he hadn't have stroked out and been left impaired. People just do not care anymore and it shows.

Okay, this made me laugh.
Also... how much are these people paid to basically say, "we don't know?"

lmao tried to report a blocked storm drain exactly where i parked my car (the street isn't fully flooded, but the water is rising; the sidewalk is a river; i picked my way across muddy grass and climbed through to the driver's seat from the passenger side rather than wade through the ankle-plus-deep water)
but it's after hours and the voicemail box is full

Jieun Kim from Los Angeles and Jieun Kim from Evanston, Illinois have more in common than just their name and birthdate — they have the same Social Security number, thanks to the conscientious public servants of the Social Security Administration (SSA). — Read the rest

IT’S SYSTEMIC!
Could you imagine if a book talked about black people this way? Or Asians?
And do I have to tell you that I found this in the library? The public library? The Cambridge Public Library - Valente Branch.
It was random. I asked where the non-fiction section was, the title caught my eye, I picked it up & read very little before, WHAM! There it was: State sponsored systemic racism. And, no, this was not the only example of “You can’t talk like that about anyone, unless they’re white.”
