I wasn't gonna advertise this but then Youtube decided to remove 20 views randomly (literally 80% of the views) when I know they were legit and I'm upset so I'm promo-ing this.

I joined a new SMP and I'm very excited about my episode.

Several of my friends and fellow server members watched the video in whole, and when I woke up it looked like this.

Sorry just a lil salty, I get excited about 20 views as a small creator, I was very happy with my 25 views and then they just took them all from me.

Hello Tumblr

I have no idea where to go for help as I have no other socials besides here and YT. As seen in the above screenshots YT has given me a strike. This isn’t my first one so I’m actually pretty scared.

Recently on yt, I have gotten into some drama with another creator, known as Draw My StickMan. On April 1st he made TWO impersonations accounts against me. I’ve reported both. Luckily he hasn’t stolen my content on YouTube, but that’s the least of my worries. My previous strike was given to me after I made a call out post on my community tab, which was understandable as I said some pretty unusual things that YT would definitely not like.

If anyone knows how to appeal to get a strike removed, that will be very helpful. I’ve tried appealing for a strike removal, but it didn’t work as it just brought me to this screen;

Im scared and I genuinely don’t know what to do. If anyone knows how to help, please. I’ve grown really attached to YouTube and I don’t know what I’d do without it. The thought of losing all my current progress is terrifying to me.

My recent community tabs have nothing wrong with them, just my normal BS. I don’t know what I did wrong so the only thing that makes sense with me right now is that people have been reporting MY account instead of the actual impersonation accounts, or YT has given me a strike instead of the impersonation accounts.

My channel is linked in my ‘About me’ post (Aka my pinned post) so feel free to look through all of that. This’ll (hopefully) be my only post here on Tumblr talking about this. Any help will be appreciated.

google deactivated my adsense account (basically where i get my money from) out of nowhere for no reason at all. luckily, i could easily reactivate it but also apparently they weren't registering any payments for the last YEAR

i think i got only one payment this year. do you know how much money i got?

around 30 euros or so. For the whole year of unique content. Yes, some of it was copyrighted, but I share the revenue with the copyright owners.

Everyday I wonder if Google/YouTube even cares about small creators.

I haven't posted any rants (or anything rly) in ages because life has been getting busier over the last few years and overall- things have been heading in a better direction in general despite the chaos and stresses we all have to deal with in life.

But a specific incident happened which I did not expect and now I'm extremely upset bcs it was something I had been looking forward to + decided to make a commitment to encourage myself to create more often and documenting my progress - making a Youtube channel to upload my art/creative processes, gardening vlogs and other craft/hobbies.

I work a full time job that has nothing related to art/my hobbies and most weeks I barely have any time/energy/braincells left in my spare time to make anything I enjoy. Which is the main reason I haven't been active much on tumblr and instagram, that and the fact that I have very little social energy to keep up with maneuvering between multiple platforms. Social media- just like engaging in social interactions- drain me and exhausts my introverted brain beyond I can explain in words. This was why I decided to go with a video platform like Youtube where I can just record, upload and forget about it but have a place to serve as an archive of things I've made/spent time and effort working on.

So I created a new gmail account and signed up and had my first and brand new Youtube account and channel ready to go last week, I was super excited. I filmed myself doing a brush calligraphy session for around 90 minutes, edited it on my phone and uploaded it. I was super happy and shared the video link with my loved ones only to find that in less than 24 hours since my video went up I got this email notifying that my channel has been terminated:

I had no idea what I did to deserve this and all I can say is thanks Youtube for treating a new/small creator like me this way because you obviously don't care.

Can someone please explain to me what have I done that violated their Community Guidelines by posting a video like this- an original longform content made by me of me doing handwriting with a brush in my own living room:

I have appealed but I have already lost my trust and hope in this platform. I feel wronged and discouraged and I hope nobody goes through the same experience even though apparently it's becoming more and more common for creators all over the place to just wake up one day and find their own channel wrongfully terminated with no reason whatsoever.

If I don't get this channel back I'm not going to attempt this again. Thanks Youtube for your warm welcome and encouragement to a new creator and small artist who had been blindly optimistic about starting a channel to share art with.

Mr. Ballen YouTube Channel

One YouTube channel I listen to a lot is “Mr.Ballen” produced by Jonathan B. Allen, a former Navy SEAL and internet personality. For me, MrBallen's narration is simple and clear, both of which are appealing for his storytelling of the strange, dark, and mysterious. Stories of which happened in real life and share tones of horrible outcomes. Being a fan of all things, paranormal and strange I find Mr. Ballen’s channel to be exceptional for the stories he covers (which are verified) and of the lessons he tells the viewers. Most certainly of his “don’t step off the path” narrative of missing 411 and his “strangers shouldn’t be nice”. Following the precedent that he makes every viewer feel as if they are in a conversation with a friend, his stories are captivating as they are easy to follow. He is engaging and can tell a nerve-racking story with a tone of clarity and he is marvelous of stating how everyone can learn from other’s actions (e.g. don't leave the trail in a national park, don’t meet up with strangers online, and don't trespass to abandoned sites). If we can learn anything from him it's to be clear with our words and don’t be stupid with our actions.
