A Changed Man - Yuki Tsunoda

Request from @oooom4rie - can i request a yuki fic pls? one where he's very soft and needy around his girl and he's not ashamed of it even if the other drivers tease him for it hehe

Another Yuki bc he deserves the love. Also we love a man who adores his girl and this request wants exactly that.

The mistake in thinking that Yuki was a changed man on the radio as a result of the moment that will not be recalled in Bahrain would be easy to make. But it is a mistake to blame it on that.

When y/n showed up for Jeddah, people didn't make the automatic assumption that they make for other drivers who are slightly more sexualised by the public and especially by their fans. In fact they didn't even notice her. But other drivers certainly did.

Only 1 driver actually knew about her and you'd never guess who it is.

"Y/n, I thought I'd see you at Bahrain." Pierre states greeting the young woman with kisses on either cheek.

"Oh I know, I didn't want to be a distraction so I thought I'd let him do the first race without me here." Y/n laughs lightly earning a hum from the Frenchman.

"You are a distraction to him." Pierre hums glancing at his friend who has practically glued himself to her hand.

Y/n is one of those girls who you see that may not stand out in a room at first but once you see her, you can't take your eyes off her. The quietly confident, supportive type of friend who is there for everyone but knows when to step back. A key role she plays for Yuki is not just as a girlfriend but as someone who helps him keep his peace.

He's visibly calmer with her around and he looks just happier, which is impressive because generally off track Yuki is actually a very happy and energetic person.

Their relationship is still new but it's obviously Yuki is lovestruck and y/n visibly perks up and glows a little more when Yuki returns to her side.

"I think Yuki will need you are every race he can pull you to this year. You seem to be the only person who makes him this happy." Pierre jokes poking at Yuki.

"It's calling loving your girlfriend." Yuki states making y/n get a little flustered since Yuki still speaks without much filter when it comes to just saying the first thing that comes to mind when it comes to move things.

Jeddah the other drivers, with the exception of Pierre, witnessed y/n and Yuki from a distance and admittedly a lot of them were intrigued to see how Yuki when from a little ball of energy and in the car a ball of rage to a softly spoken, almost clingy boyfriend who very shamelessly adores his girlfriend.

It's in Australia where a few of them decide to approach.

"Mate, are you going to introduce me?" Liam asks making Yuki smile looking at his girlfriend but she speaks up since she prefers to speak for herself, something Yuki loves her all the more for.

"I'm y/n and you're Liam." Y/n smiles holding her free hand out to shake his. "It's nice to meet you. I'm actually a fan."

"Hey." Yuki frowns earning a smile.

"I knew that was coming." Y/n mumbles then looking at Yuki. "But I'm Yuki's biggest fan."

"Awww Yuki, you clearly don't have to see me as threat." Liam grins and with him having introduced himself, it seems to follow with a chain reaction of other drivers following suit.

Eventually Yuki pulls her off away from the them all and into the privacy of his driver's room.

"Is everything ok?" Y/n asks lightly earning a small nod from her boyfriend. "Yuki..."

"I want your attention and everyone else is getting it." Yuki sighs earning a small grin. "Don't look so happy about it."

"I can't help it...you're so sweet." Y/n laughs before she moves towards him and hugs him tightly, hiding her face in his neck as he returns the gesture and seems to relax as he holds her and breathes in the soft scent of her perfume. "I'm only here for you, you know that?"

"Good." Yuki mumbles earning a laugh before she moves back from him for a moment. "I like this dress on you."

"Thanks." Y/n smiles looking down at the white floral dress proudly since she thinks it's bene a perfect choice of outfit.

"I like the buttons." Yuki states making her frown for a moment in confusion before realising he's already undone one of the buttons and is well on his way to undoing the rest.

Y/n smiles watching Yuki walking into the garage while she watches from the spectator spot, actually very excited to see Yuki out there. He got into Q3 again, and she's not making any secret of how excited she is to see him go out there.

Yuki has actually been pretty busy today so she's been walking around, keeping herself busy and entertained in his absence.

So when he sees her, she smiles watching him jog over and kiss her quickly before he moves to speak to his engineers.

After getting through all the stuff preceding the start of the race, it's finally under way and y/n can't help but be chuffed with Yuki for the whole thing.

She's so focused on the screen that when her own face appears she quite literally jumps and covered her mouth, not having quite the grace and composure she usual has. How the other WAGs and family members always look so relaxed and calm on camera amazes her. She definitely will have to work on not being so shocked about it.

After all Yuki has made it clear that he wants to have her there for as many races as he can. Especially his home race which is thankfully next on the calendar.

By the time Yuki sees her after the race and media, he's apparently seen the footage of his girlfriend's shock appearance on the broadcast and had to poke a little fun at her.

"Did you not expect it?" Yuki laughs hugging her while she groans and cover her face. "It's ok, it was very cute."

"I look like I was about to run away from the camera." Y/n pouts before being kissed to try and force the pout away and to Yuki's relief it works.

"We can get some food and you'll feel better. Pierre wants to meet up for something to eat with his girlfriend." Yuki smiles earning a grin from the young woman.

"Sounds good."

A Reason To Smile - Yuki Tsunoda

Summary: Yuki's mood after the Bahrain GP is in need of some serious perking up. Thankfully his girlfriend has the perfect solution.

This isn't really the request because I don't like using the exact same idea just for another driver (though tho know I am guilty of doing it, I try to avoid if I feel like I can bring a similar but better idea). I do apologise if you hate this @piastricodedfr

I always give any children of drivers names in my fics, often quite Western names. But obviously I wanted to give Yuki's child a name that is Japanese and has a pretty meaning.

Baby Tsunoda's name is...Takara meaning treasure or jewel which I feel like suits how Yuki would treat his daughter.

Very maternal!reader

The paddock was actually shocked when Yuki appeared with his 4 month old daughter. Mainly because he'd not told anyone aside from Pierre, who despite his tendency to gossip especially with Charles (who is the reason Pierre knew about Lewis' move to Ferrari before anyone else), but he respected Yuki when it came to not sharing his daughter with the world immediately.

He did get to meet the daughter of the young driver and shared his congratulations with the girlfriend the world didn't know much of either.

Upon appearing with his daughter many of the drivers were congratulating him and sort of coming to see if the whispers that had reached them were true. None of them imagined him to be the next dad in the paddock, actually far from it.

"She's beautiful." Charles comments, having managed to use Pierre as means of confirming the baby's existence and being able to meet Takara. "I could not have imagined you to be a father, Yuki."

"Not when they are almost the same size." Pierre teases earning a grin from y/n while Yuki is too focused on Takara in Charles' hold to have even heard what his old teammate said.

Yuki is a very protective and tentative dad which is actually quite an endearing sight really.

"Hey, I heard there's a new baby in the paddock." Lando states appearing and making no secret of the fact Yuki and his daughter are the talk of the paddock, or one of the talks. There's quite a few things going on. "Yuki...a little baby Yuki?"

"I know 100% him when I did all the work." Y/n jokes then smiling when she feels Yuki's arm come around her waist. Luckily for y/n (and possibly for Yuki) she is shorter than him which means they do look tiny and Takara is definitely a reflection of how small her parents are too. But it only adds to her cuteness.

"Y/n is the best mum." Yuki confirms never missing a chance to praise her.

"Give here, I'm actually a qualified uncle so I'm much more trustworthy." Lando declares taking Takara from Charles' hold much to the Ferrari drivers annoyance since he was quite enjoying getting smiles from the baby girl. "What's her name?"

"Takara." Y/n states making Lando nod as if he's trying to make a mental note.

There's a brief moment of Yuki noticing y/n having a bit of anxiety about so many people with Takara. It's not that she doesn't trust them but y/n has really had months of sort of just either having Takara on her own, with a handful of family members in the comfort of their home or just with Yuki. She's just not used to this setting and trusting so many excited people with her baby, it's unfamiliar territory and she's just...uneasy.

"We do have to go. But I'm glad you all got to meet her." Yuki states and thankfully Lando doesn't hesitate to hand the small baby to her dad.

"Congrats, guys." Lando nods smiling at the couple before they walk off and he looks to Pierre and Charles. "I feel like I upset them."

"No. I think y/n is just...not used to all the attention from so many people." Pierre states since he noticed Yuki's gaze flick to his girlfriend and a sudden concern from the Japanese driver. "He is quite protective over both of them. If he thinks she isn't completely happy then he will get her away."

"We should all probably go." Charles declares feeling satisfied to have not been the one to push y/n over the edge enough that Yuki stepped in.

Y/n has Takara strapped to her in a baby carrier as she watched Yuki prepare for the race. He's already been out for the driver's parade and then ran back to the garage for his quick chats with the team. But ahead of the national anthem he does move to both y/n and Takara and kiss y/n lightly before kissing the top of his sleeping baby's head since with the headphones the loud garage is muted.

"Good luck." Y/n smiles earning a small nod. He never really smiles much right before the race, just getting into the race mindset. Focus and get the race start right.

Yuki is doing a pretty amazing race from the start and y/n really can't hide her pride. Not to mention Takara is awake but seemingly happy to just be bounced a little to keep her quiet.

It's getting towards the end of the race, in the last 10 when the team orders are given mid-battle with Magnussen. Y/n already knows her boyfriend is going to be upset and angry at it, and the reply that comes shows that as well. But even she has to admit him not giving the position to Daniel isn't wise.

It takes another 2 laps and in the end Daniel's tires are too baked for him to make a dent on the Haas and Yuki is actually lapping faster than him on the hard tyres behind.

"Shit." Y/n mutters rubbing her hands over her face before Takara seems to grunt loudly sensing her mum's distress and possibly sensing her dad's bad mood. The baby is very well sensed when it comes to her parents emotions, which is actually why they both try to avoid any conflict between themselves.

Yuki's driving on his in lap makes her grimace too especially at the sound of the mechanics voicing their displeasure about his erratic driving that really risked Daniel.

Y/n leaves the garage knowing there's no point in sticking around in there. She instead heads through the crowds towards the unit. Sticking to the safety of the hospital unit tables outside the front. She's not really enjoying much in the terms of the waiting, but eventually she does decide to hie away inside Yuki's driver room to let Takara out of her confines and feed her.

She sighs watching the interviews and tries to ignore her chest aching because while Daniel is understandably upset himself and Yuki have chosen different methods of approaching and addressing the situation with the media hearing the bickering and voices of team with Yuki.

"Ok, T. I don't think dad is going to be in a very good mood today." Y/n sighs looking Takara who seems fairly content after being fed. At least someone in the family is happy.

By the time Yuki appears he looks like he might punch a wall.

"Yuki..." Y/n mumbles making his head snap in her direction and while he looks like he wants to stay angry. He softens slight seeing Takara beaming at seeing him.

Her gummy smile and the sight of y/n's concern riddled expression makes him feel the need to push his own emotions aside.

"Takara can come to the debrief." Yuki tries but y/n only shakes her head.

"I don't think that debrief is where either of us want her. Especially not if she's being used as a buffer...you know you were in the wrong Yuki." Y/n sighs earning a grumble as he moves to get changed. "But Daniel spent the whole race slower than you and was only faster because you were on hards and he was on softs. That's promising moving forward, they just need to fix the strategy."

Yuki clearly isn't ready to let it go till he's at least spoken to the team in the debrief so y/n gives up and instead waits for him to be dressed before she hands Takara to him.

"Give your daughter a hug and just calm down. She's so happy to see you again."

The team must be leaving it to Yuki to decide when he's ready for the debrief because no one comes to retrieve him. Which does mean that Takara's presence works it's magic and by the time he decides he needs to leave.

"Ok, I will debrief and then we can go get some food." Yuki smiles while she hums and nods for a moment as Yuki places Takara down in the pushchair, gently strapping her in before kissing her on the forehead and then moving to y/n who smiles at him. "I know how lucky I am to have you-both of you, but especially you."

"We are lucky to have each other. Just remember it's a bad weekend and the strategy was their call, not yours." Y/n states then smiling as she leans into a kiss. "But you do need to apologise to Daniel for that in lap, intentional or not. You know you were in the wrong."

Yuki is visibly hesitant to admit his fault but a short nod gives her the reassurance that he will follow through on her suggestion to own up to his actions.

"Go on, I'm going to take Takara out for some air now it's calm down."

Yuki looks back at the baby with a smile before finally kissing y/n and leaving.

"Alright, baby girl. Let's get some fresh air."

Of course she not outside for long before Pierre appears walking up and clearly wanting to chat to her.

"Don't start, he knows what he did." Y/n states immediately while Pierre hums looking amused. "And you are not currently the poster child for playing nicely with your teammate."

"I can't argue with you on that...being a mother quite suits you." Pierre chuckles making her smile before Pierre holds his arms out to take Takara who absolutely adores the frenchman. "Daniel was not happy."

"I know...he is going to apologise. Possibly not mean it, but he will apologise." Y/n sighs then reaching to tidy Takara's hair. "He's trying to be better with his temper. Sick of seeing everyone hold it against him...as if Max wasn't called Mad Max for his temper."

"You're not wrong." Pierre smiles while bouncing the baby a little. "I think him being a dad will help him to stop being so angry on track. It was just not...fair to him today."

"Well...we know they want Daniel to look good ahead of having a chance back in Red Bull." Y/n sighs softly since they've made it no secret that they don't really care to consider Yuki for the seat. "Anyway, give me my baby back and get going. It's bad enough we've ended up staying later. If you want to talk with Yuki, I'm sure he'll be more than happy to talk later or tomorrow."

"Yes, boss. You make sure you're taking care of yourself as much as Yuki and Takara." Pierre instructs as he has the baby girl back to her mum and y/n gives him a mock salute.

Yuki doesn't really talk about the debrief, instead busying himself in helping y/n pack up anything that she's unpacked from the baby bag and making sure they have everything they need before heading back to the hotel.

It's only once they've settled Takara down for the night that y/n collapses herself on top of Yuki who just laughs at her overdramatic attitude.

"Jeddah is going to be good. I love Jeddah." Y/n comments feeling his arms wrap around her tightly. "I do think Takara might be more popular than you."

"Yeah, we have the cutest kid. Makes sense." Yuki mumbles then sighing a little which she knows is a sign that he's about to say something he's not proud of. "I'm sorry you have to...calm me down today. I don't want it to happen again."

"Yuki, I will always be there. To celebrate. To comfort. To calm you down. I'm in it for the long run and no bad mood is scaring me off." Y/n states gently while looking up at Yuki. "Ok?"

"Yes. Ok." Yuki nods quickly looking very much relieved.

Y/n and Yuki might have a baby together but their relationship was fast moving and y/n fell pregnant less than a year into their relationship. Yuki has been fearful of her seeing more of him and being scared off. Today is one of the moments he fears might cost him losing her.

"I'm just glad you've got reasons to smile with Takara."

"You make me smile too...more. You don't cry in the middle of the night and wake me up." Yuki jokes making her huff a laugh before she looks over at the sleeping baby. "I'm glad you two were here today. I know you can't come to every race."

"We'll be at as many as possible." Y/n states quickly. "Takara can't be without you for too long. We both got too used you always being there over the winter. So we'll make it work."

I think you're full of shit! Yuki Tsunoda x Artist! Reader

Plot: You get lost in Japan when your travelling to get inspo when a boy claims he drives really fast cars.

You were currently lost in Japan, you'd been on your way to an art gallery and studio when you'd taken one wrong turn and ended up in the middle of Tokyo.

You also didn't know enough Japanese to get you out of this situation and you didn't want to be that annoying tourist. So you set yourself up in a public park opposite a huge cherry blossom tree in full bloom that was hanging over the lake there.

Your easel was out facing the direction you intended to paint while all of your tools were rested in your little pop up desk to the side of the easel. You been painting for at least two hours now, only having captures the basics of the landscape.

You were getting hungry but knew you couldn't just leave the art here incase someone tried messing with it or stealing it. So you continued on, some people would come up and gasp when they saw what you were painting, the compliments in Japanese getting more and more common as your painting started to get to the final few steps until it would be done.

"Hello" a voice calls from behind you causing you to flinch a little, the English catching you off guard. Luckily your brushes were no-where near the canvas that had your art on.

"Oh!" you smile looking at the man that was standing behind you gazing from the art to the backdrop that you were using as your muse.

"That's really good!" he smiles stepping next to you, and you now notice that your a little taller than he is, however that was an uncommon thing in Japan with you being on the taller side of women.

"Thank you, I erm wasn't actually supposed to paint here but I'm really glad I did. It's a beautiful location" you admit looking around the other area of the part that the square of your canvas wasn't capturing.

"Where were you supposed to paint?" he asks.

"Erm, some gallery in Shinjuku, but I got lost and I ended up here. I didn't want to look like one of those annoying tourists!" you smile awkwardly.

"Well, I don't know about you still being able to paint in the studio but the gallery should still be open if you want me to take you there?" he offers and you eye him carefully.

"How do I know you aren't going to kidnap me?" you ask crossing your arms.

"I have a reputation that I would heavily damage if i did do that!" he jokes but see's that you still don't look convinced.

"I drive for a living, in really really fast cars" he offers to you, making you cock your head to the side. So he was on TV, and drove cars if he had a reputation.

"So like Top Gear?" you ask.

"Mmm not exactly more competitive than that" he laughs and you look over him again.

"I think your full of shit!" you laugh, not believing this kind and humble man has any ounce of fame behind him.

"Mmm, come find out!" he offers and you look at him like he's crazy.

"Sorry?" you laugh.

"I'm an F1 Driver, I'll get you tickets if your still here for the Grand Prix next week. It's my home race after all" he offers, of course you'd heard of the racing sport but you weren't ever one to pay much attention to it.

"Alright, you've got yourself a deal..." you press wondering his name.

"Yuki, my name's Yuki!" he smiles. You slowly start to pack up, having finished your painting when you were first talking to him.

"I need to take this all back to my hotel first, then can you take me to the gallery?" you ask, making sure all your paints were sealed so they wouldn't spill out into your shoulder bag.

"Sure, where are you staying?" he asks and you show him the address of the hotel on your phone, you both walk back through the streets of Tokyo him pointing out little things you'd missed in your time here. He brought up other places that he thought you'd like to paint and in seconds had you rambling about how you didn't just paint you just preferred to.

You'd got to the hotel in just a 30 minute walk and you placed all your stuff back in your room making sure the canvas wasn't near anything that would make it too hot and run. You grabbed your professional camera knowing having Yuki around he'd find some good places for you to get photos of the city.

In minutes you were back out on the busy streets of Tokyo Centre, as you were going across the Shibuya crossing Yuki grabbed your hand so you wouldn't get lost. With it being the late afternoon, all Japanese office workers were finishing their days up in the office and heading for their commute out of the city.

"It's very busy so you have to stay close!" he yells a little over the loudness of the crowd on the crossing.

"I know, I'm right here" you beam back, watching roughly where the end of the crossing was coming too. You could see the gallery at the end of the road Yuki was starting to head down and you could already tell it was going to be fantastic with the architecture from the outside.

"Oh woah, let me get a picture!" you exclaimed, the way the sun set down the street flickering off the building and the way it light up the graphic design on the back of Yuki's denim jacket.

"Oh sorry! I'm ruining your shot" Yuki says stepping to the side noticing you looking through your camera and kneeling down to get the perfect shot.

"No no stay back where you were facing away. You looked great!" you say looking at his bright smile through the camera making you snap an picture of him facing you and laughing.

"Are you sure your this super fast race car driver not a model?" you shout over to him as he starts to squat in a pose for you.

He comes over wanting to see the work done, the pictures he's been in.

"Woah, you have such an artistic eye." he smiles looking through the pictures you'd caught. Seeing how it made him look exactly like you said ... a model.

You continued to the gallery and walked around with Yuki, taking pictures and checking out the art.

"I really want to be in a gallery like this one day" you sigh looking at a particular group of paintings that had a similar style to yours.

"Mmmm i think you will. You really have an eye for all this!" he smiles.

"Thank you, really!" you smile.
