I'm so tired of seeing people saying that the difference between JC and WWX is that JC thinks about politics and WWX don't, they say that as a good thing for JC. And then say that WWX acts without thinking and JC can't do that because he has to think about Yummeng. Poor JC, he's the one trying to fix WWX messes because WWX doesn't think about the consequences of his actions. It seems to be a very extended mentality in the fandom and IT DRIVES ME CRAZY.

Yeah, it’s like... if anything WWX is more aware of politics than JC? It’s him who realises that not standing with LWJ and JZX will be disastrous, for one. He’s charming and careful, and is aware enough of how indispensable he is to the sects to know how far he can push post-Sunshot. When WWX starts really antagonizing the sects it’s when things have reached the point where he can’t go back. He’s not a political expert, but for someone who presumably was never actually taught how to do politics he does a pretty good job! Meanwhile JC (who for sure did get training in politicking as the sect heir) is like “I’m sure WC won’t kill us all even though he literally just made it clear that he’d be happy to do exactly that like thirty seconds ago! Just hand immeasurable power over to the guy who made a point of not joining the war until it became obvious we were going to win! If I declare WWX a traitor to all the sects that will have zero negative repercussions for anyone! Abandoning the most powerful person in all the sects and kicking him out won’t do anything to my reputation! I don’t have to be nice to my peers, being a dick to them won’t have any impact on how they interact with me or my sect!”

One of the Yunmeng bros doesn’t know how politics work, but it is not WWX.
