Match Cards So Far for "Forbidden Door" and "One Night Dream"

After "AEW Dynamite" went off the air and right after the opening match to NOAH's "Star Navigation 2023 Episode 5"; match cards for both "The Forbidden Door" and "One Night Dream" were announced. Note that neither event will have the full match card until June 24th (for "The Forbidden Door") and July 9th (for " One Night Dream").

How would you cast Fate Strange Fake?

Man, it was so wise of me to wait for volume 7 before getting to this one. The /Requiem casting post is waiting on the event's rerun, if it doesn't start taking as long as Case Files's.

Spoiler warning for volume 7.

Ayaka Sajou already has a voice in Hollow Ataraxia, but I think that doesn't fit her new character, so I'd give her Kana Hanazawa because she voices Sajou Ayaka. Also, her Hollow actor is uncredited, I think. Richard is voiced by Yuuki Ono in the PV and I'd keep that. Saint-Germain I just can't not see Sabo's face in his illustration, so I'll double down and cast him as Tooru Furuya.

Tine can be *googles Kaguya Shinomiya VA name* Aoi Koga. She really nails the tone of a young girl forcing herself to sound like an adult. Gilgamesh was always Tomokazu Seki and I'm not changing that.

Bazdilot is a scary man demanding a scary man voice, but I'm against repeat voices, so no Kenjirou Tsuda or Jouji Nakata no matter how much they're already overused in TM. No Sugita or Ootsuka either. Honestly, I feel like that leaves with only Norio Wakamoto as a suitable and new option. Alcides would be Tadahisa Saizen because he's always has been Heracles.

The chimera wolf will be voiced wolf or dog stock sounds. Enkidu would continue being Yuu Kobayashi from FGO.

Σ's Kirito face makes me want to say Matsuoka, but that's already taken by Flat, so I'll go with Yuuki Kaji. Watcher... Eh, too many people to cast. I'll just say Asclepius reprises his FGO actor, and Ahab gets Shigeru Chiba.

Tsubaki gets Yurika Kubo. The casting gag is that she does the Platelets in Cells At Work BLACK, so baby girl surrounded by disease. Pale Rider can be anyone ran through 800 computer filters. The actual actor doesn't matter because they'd be utterly unrecognizable in the product. Heck, get Narita himself to voice Rider.

Hippolyte is kinda hard to cast because she doesn't have much special going for her. Well, she's Penthesilea's sister and Penth is voice by Yuu Shimamura, a Zelda, so I could go with another Zelda, Ayumi Fujimura. Svin, Yvette, Caules, Mary, Rin, and Luvia would get reprises from their established actors. I don't feel like I have enough material to cast the Apocrypha kids, but I have a very particular and unlikely wish for Werner. Fuuta Kimura. "Whomst've'd?", you might be asking. It's the live-action actor who did Orlocke's young form in the Adra musical, still the best thing to have come out of the El-Melloi series.

I haven't heard Ken'yuu Horiuchi as Artorius because Pembroke plays with the English dub on the Berseria streams, but knowing Horiuchi plays Artorius immediately makes him the perfect Orlando. Wataru Hatano would be a good Dumas, as he knows both how to be crude and how to be intellectual. I wanted Hitomi Nabatame as Vera for her role as Konishi in TWEWY but she's already Bazett, so I'll go with Misato Murai for Minami in Tribe Nine. And for John, we need someone who nails the shounen hero vibes, and I'm thinking of Taku Yashiro, Luke from Yugioh Sevens.

Francesca already has an uncredited voice actress speculated to be Yukari Tamura. But I want both Prelatis to have the same VA and I don't think Tamura can do a good man voice for François. So now it's time for me to pull back to my Danganronpa V3 roots and shill Saihara's voice acting again. Megumi Hayashibara is the one we need. She's a huge deal, but the Prelatis are kind of a huge in-universe too. And I really just can't believe Hayashibara has never been in TM to this day.

Jester... Roa is a character who changed A LOT in the Remake, but Jester still exists as a character that contains all the worst the old version of Roa has to offer. So none better than Ken Narita, Roa's old voice, to play our vampire clown. Assassin can be Miyu Tomita. FsF's Assassin and Kaguya-sama's Iino are the best girls of their series for roughly the same reasons.

Now, this is the one I had already decided in my head long before I got the ask. Hiro Shimono as Faldeus. Shimono is another guy who is long overdue coming to TM, and Faldeus is just the character for him because no one is better than Hiro Shimono when it comes to being pathetic. See Ouma, Ryuunosuke Naruhodou, Aoba Kuronuma, and most of all, Zen'itsu Agatsuma. Shimono is the man we need. It can't be anyone else. Hassan will depend on whether or not he proves to be the First. If he is, he's Jouji Nakata, and use Faldeus's own voice when speaking early to conceal the twist. If he isn't, I dunno, Tetsuo Kanao.

Flat is already Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. Jack is really tough to cast because it needs to be the most neutral voice possible. I kinda wanna say Minami Takayama for her role as Kamukura. Hao and Envy are close to the right tone too. Yeah, I'll go with that. Thia would just use Flat's voice, but with a delivery closer to how Matsuoka does for Neil in Yugioh.

Aya Uchida starts with the same Uchi kanji as Siduri's Yumi Uchiyama, so she's perfect for Haruri. Huwawa and Gugalanna don't need human voices. Ishtar I want to still be Kana Ueda despite also Rin being there. Pre-possession Filia can be idk Ayana Taketatsu.

Notes From the 2020 Myanimelist.net Challenges - Part 2: Manga

Time for Part 2 of the Thoughts on the Challenge posts; this one talking about the manga side.

A lot of the executive dysfunction and side effects of the chemo kinda took away my desire to read sometimes. As such, I didn’t get as far into the challenge as I had hoped, only getting about halfway through the required amount I had chosen for myself. There were even a few manga I was reading for the challenge that I have unfortunately not yet finished (Billy Bat, Battle Angel Alita, Meteor Methuselah), so I reluctantly won’t be including them on here. However, I did still read and finish some decent manga and some pretty good ones, too.

Like the anime post, I will mention some honorable mentions/one I had thoughts on, followed by my favorites that I read for the challenge this year.

Honorable Mentions/Other Notables:

Scumbag Loser (aka Saiteihen no Otoko) - completed for the task “Read a manga series you can finish in one day”

Masahiko is a fat, perverted loser who has a smell fetish and thinks everyone is beneath him. He takes solace in the fact that he’s not the Class Loser. However, when the Class Loser gets a girlfriend, Masahiko becomes the new Class Loser. Desperate to get out of this position, he lies and says he has a girlfriend: his childhood friend Haruka, who transfers to his class the next day. But there’s a problem that only Masahiko knows: Haruka died several years before. 

This wins Worst of the Challenge, but I didn’t hate it entirely. Masahiko is not a good person, which is usually a negative in my book. This manga basically goes from 0 to 100 real fast. It takes a couple unexpected turns and I couldn’t help but wonder how the problem would be stopped. Ends on a bit of a downer.

Dragon Head - completed for the task “Read a manga that started serialization in the 90s”

While on a school field trip, the train carrying the students crashes after a natural disaster. Teru is the only survivor in his class. While trying to find a way out, he finds two other survivors, Ako and Nobuo. The three survivors try to escape while dealing with lack of food and light, earthquakes, cults, and the freaking apocalypse happening outside.

This manga was quite the ride. Creepy and scary at times. The artwork was really good, definitely adding to the atmosphere. I liked the characters. The story did kinda drag a bit in the middle and I felt the ending was kinda rushed and stopped inconclusively, but I liked this one.

Omukae Desu - completed for the task “Read a manga that started publishing the same month and year as one of your listed favorites” (Azumanga Daioh, in this case)

Madoka is a college student who has the power to see lost souls, kinda like the Ghost Whisperer. He is recruited by Nabeshima (the guy in the bunny suit on the manga cover) to work for the GSG, an organization that helps transport wandering souls to the afterlife. In order to help, Madoka often lets the souls briefly take over his body to do various things that they always wanted to do before passing on.

This manga was actually pretty adorable at times. Lighthearted and fun. Characters are kinda hit-and-miss, though their interactions are very amusing. I liked it.

Deathtopia - completed for the task “Read a manga that got cancelled/axed”

Kou Fujimura is an average guy. One day, he gets into an accident and is severely injured, leaving him blind and on the brink of death. He gets surgery and survives, but he now has psychic abilities and can see weird monsters. A mysterious woman appears, and she recruits him to help her and her fellow hot assassins who work for the police department. He helps the ladies take out the aforementioned weird monsters called Cheaters, people who come back from the dead with special abilities and blend in with normal people.

I liked the story/concept a lot. Kinda gave me Parasyte vibes at times. A little bit too fanservice-y at times. Very good in the beginning, but took a lot of lapses in logic (pointed out in the scanlations I read) near the end, and the ending felt rushed, though I can blame that on the manga being prematurely cancelled. I still recommend this one, as the story is interesting and the action is good.

The!! Beach Stars - completed for the task “Read a manga with a symbol in the title”

The sequel to the manga Beach Stars that I read for last year’s challenge. 

Iruka and the rest of the team are back, getting ready for and competing in the Madonna Cup. Iruka’s goal is still the same: to beat the local volleyball champ Sanae Kayakawa.

Everything I liked about the prequel is here. The action/sports scenes are great, and the camaraderie between the ladies is cool, too. Though it is disappointing that this sequel is only 12 or 13 chapters, as some things could have used more buildup and fleshing out, especially the final match. Still a fun read, though.

Favorites from the Challenge:

Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan (aka Our Happy Time) - completed for the task “Read a featured manga” (Article: https://myanimelist.net/featured/1561/11_Epic_Manga_That_Deserve_to_Be_Adapted_into_Anime)

Juri is a former pianist who has gone down a dark path after a traumatic event in her life. She has grown to hate her mother, who was once a famous pianist herself. Juri has since attempted suicide multiple times. Yuu is a convict on death row charged with murder, and he has tried to kill himself as well. When Juri’s aunt Monica, a nun, invites her to visit Yuu, their lives both change forever.

This manga makes me think of how a friend told me they recently saw the movie Collateral Beauty for the first time. They said it was melodramatic, but they cried and enjoyed the movie all the same. This pretty much sums up how I felt about this manga.

This one honestly made me tear up a bit, as melodramatic as it was. A little dark, but I was still invested in the characters and the situations. The art is really good, too. It’s one volume, so it doesn’t take that long to read. 

Kingyosou - completed for the task “Read a manga that includes a character with a disability”

One day, a girl, Asuka, falls in love with a boy, Manami, after hearing him play the taiko drums at a school festival. Manami is deaf, however, and has closed his heart to love. Asuka and Manami get to know each other and face various obstacles in their relationship, both relating and not relating to Manami’s deafness.

I thought this manga was really sweet. I also liked that there was deaf representation here, though I can’t really speak on how accurate it is because I’m not deaf myself. You don’t see many manga where the characters have disabilities. The relationship felt a little more realistic in this one because it took some time (as proportional as time can take in a 2-volume manga) for Manami and Asuka to get into the relationship. Another manga that was short, sweet, and to the point, at only 2 volumes.

Babel - completed for the task “Read a manga that appears when putting in your username in the Myanimelist search bar”

Kouta is a hotel waiter dissatisfied with his job serving rich clientele on New Year’s Eve at the Babel Hotel. On New Year’s Day, a worldwide terrorist attack occurs, with bombs going off everywhere. Kouta then meets someone who gives him the ability to go back in time. Kouta has to use this ability to stop the terrorist attack from happening and pretty much causing WW3.

I liked this manga a lot. A lot of unexpected plot twists. A fascinating mystery, keeps you hooked. I’ve always found time travel plots to be interesting as well.

Bloom Into You (aka Yagate Kimi ni Naru) - completed for the task “Read a Shounen Ai or Shoujo Ai manga” (tagged Shoujo Ai)

Yuu is a new high school freshman who loves romance manga and wants to experience a love story of her own. But when a classmate confesses his feelings to her, Yuu finds she feels nothing. Yuu sees the student council president, Nanami, turning down a love confession herself. Yuu joins the student council and she and Nanami become friends. Nanami soon confesses her feelings for Yuu, and Yuu is confused.

This one is tied with the next entry in this post for Best of the Challenge.

I loved this manga. So sweet and adorable. Made me tear up at times. Great, well-written character development. Doesn’t rely on bad/problematic tropes like certain other yuri I’ve read and watched recently. I loved watching this complex and realistic relationship between Yuu and Nanami develop. Some of Yuu’s feelings are pretty relatable. Read this one if you’re looking for a great yuri manga.

Inside Mari (aka Boku wa Mari no Naka) - completed for the task “Read a Psychological or Thriller manga” (tagged Psychological)

Isao Komori is a shut-in who spends his time after dropping out of college fapping, playing video games, and visiting a local convenience store every night to see a high school girl named Mari, who he admires from afar. One day, Isao finds that he is in Mari’s body! Isao-as-Mari continues to live her life and tries to find out how to switch back.

I know I mentioned this earlier, but I’ll be giving Best of the Challenge to both Bloom Into You and Inside Mari. I honestly couldn’t decide between the two, as they are from two different subgenres and two different styles. Kinda like how I couldn’t decide between Hereditary and Into the Spiderverse as my favorite movie of 2018 because they were so different form each other that I couldn’t really compare them.

This manga threw me for a loop multiple times. A subversion and deconstruction of the usual body-swap plots. A darker take on one, if you will. A couple of interesting plot twists, and the manga often takes a different direction than you expect, especially about halfway through the manga, where it switches to different characters’ points of view.

Highly recommended, though not for everyone.

Kuro and Shiro -purgatorium- stage information

Since I have posted on my Twitter, I want to post it here to spread on the news! (You will see a copy-pasted content by me from my own thread).

Why you should be excited about Movic's original stage - Kuro & Shiro -purgatorium- if you're a fan of TsukiPro (or Identity V)! 

First of all, please look at this beautiful visual that is drawn by Natsuo-sensei (artist of Vazzrock).

Next is the cast!

The casts you might feel familiar with, and I will explain in detail a bit on this because they're the main reason why I'm into this We have Iwagana Tetsuya who played as Dan Kuroto from Kamen Rider Ex-aid. Miyazawa Yuu who acted as Hasumi Keito (EnStar stage).

We have actors from TsukiPro stages: Hirai Yuuki (Fuduki Kai), Iwasa Yuuki (Fujimura Mamoru), Shiozawa Hidemasa (Eto Kouki), Igarashi Takuto - Tact (Sugai Makoto from ZIX), Chiba Mizuki (Mikaze Roa actor(?) & seiyuu) and Hotta Ryuusei (Ohara Sora).

From Identity V stage: Hirai Yuuki (Aesop Carl), Kunishima Naoki (The White Guard), Tachibana Ryo (Lucky Guy), Suga Kyosuke (Norton Campbell), Ishikawa Ryuutaro (Kreacher Pierson) and Chiba Mizuki (Eli Clark).

The plot

The story plot is also interesting, here is my rough translation of the plot that is available on their website. All songs are composed by ZIZZ STUDIO, who created Tsukihana Kagura theme songs for TsukiPro AGF just now!

Full Match Card Announced for One Night Dream + Pro Wrestling Day 2023 Announced for Same Date

After the events from "Sunny Voyage 2023 in Hachioji" and as Kaito Kiyomiya departs for G1 Climax 33 action, we have the full match card for Pro Wrestling NOAH's "One Night Dream" event.

More than that, for the second year in a row; ABEMA will be presenting both "One Night Dream" from Pro Wrestling NOAH and the first two nights of "G1 Climax 33" from New Japan Pro Wrestling.

And due to ABEMA presenting the first two nights of "G1 Climax 33" fans all over the world can watch the first two nights for free on NJPW World. As for "One Night Dream", you can watch it for free on ABEMA but you must have a Wrestle Universe subscription if you want to watch it with English Commentary.

With that said, here is the full match card for "One Night Dream" in which...we are getting some tournament previews.

Opening up the event will be Yu Owada making his pro wrestling debut against Kai Fujimura.

Second on the card will be a wrestler I've not seen since college. Jimmy Yang comes to Pro Wrestling NOAH and he'll be teaming up with Stallion Rogers and Super Crazy to face GLG's YO-HEY, Tadasuke, and Anthony Greene who's been hyping up this match ever since it was made back on June 22nd.

Third on the card, it's women in tag team action as Yuu and Hibiscus MII team up to face Miyuki Takase and Jazzy Yang who I read is the daughter of Jimmy Yang.

After those 3 matches are done, next two matches will be N-1 Victory 2023 preview matches. These previews matches are not going to be like the ones you usually see in the G1 Climax where we get a preview of an upcoming singles match. Instead, these 2 matches will give us a sample of what N-1 Victory 2023 will be about when it starts on August 6th in Yokohama.

The first of the two N-1 Victory 2023 preview matches will be a "N-1 Scramble". Now what this means is that people from the same block will team up together or people from the two to four blocks will team up together in teams of 6, 8, or 10. The purpose of this (in my opinion) is to see how all can gel as a team and as future opponents. This year's Scramble will be Japan vs. The World as Adam Brooks of Australia, Lance Anoa'i of the United States, Jack Morris of Scotland, and Saxon Huxley of England team up to face the Japan team of Masa Kitamiya, Manabu Soya, Daiki Inaba, and Yoshiki Inamura. Be interesting to see how the international team will get along considering how Adam Brooks doesn't seem to be much of a team player as seen in Hachioji.

The second of the two N-1 Victory 2023 preview matches will be one where the top stars compete in previews of what could be the 2023 N-1 Victory final. It'll be Kenoh teaming up with GHC Heavyweight Champion Jake Lee facing GHC National Champion Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. and Go Shiozaki. A theme that has been central since Go's return is around Kenoh. Based on match cards that were announced, this one is one of his last three chances to prove he can beat and pin Kenoh. The other two chances will be July 20th in Shinjuku FACE and July 29th in Aore Nagaoka. Another theme that has been playing is Jake Lee's dominance since arriving in NOAH. So far, he has yet to be pinned or submitted. Should Shiozaki or Wagner Jr. manage to do that in Korakuen, that could boost up their confidence heading into N-1 Victory. The last theme in this match will be around Kenoh and a promise to make reality. After teaming up with Kaito Kiyomiya to win in the main event back on July 10th, Kenoh told Kiyomiya to win the G1 Climax Tournament while he wins the N-1 Victory and after both tournaments are over, they will have a 1-on-1 match to see which of them is better. Kiyomiya's G1 starts during "One Night Dream" facing Yota Tsuji.

In the semi-main event, we're going to have some Junior USA/Mexico/Japan action as 2 representatives from each country will be competing in 6-man tag-team action. It's HAYATA (Japan) teaming with Dante Leon (USA) and Rey Escorpion (Mexico) to face Dralistico (Mexico), Ninja Mack (USA), and AMAKUSA (Japan).

And then...the main event. The match many have been talking about since it was announced on June 17th. Kento Miyahara of All Japan Pro Wrestling vs. Katushiko Nakajima of Pro Wrestling NOAH

Despite facing each other in singles competition 3 times before, this will be their very first televised singles match. In the three matches against each other, Nakajima has won all of them within the time limit frame provided. This match though...there's no time limit. There must be a winner. For both, it'll be must-win but it'll be more must-win for Nakajima than Miyahara because though this is Nakajima's fourth singles match in 2023, this is his third one against a top opponent and so far, he's yet to win against an top star. It'll be something should be able to show Kento that he's still that step behind of him.

Il ragazzo, venuto a conoscenza della realtà a proposito della Guerra del Santo Graal, deciderà di prendervi parte non per ottenere il premio finale, ma per proteggere coloro a cui vuole bene ed evitare che altri subiscano le stesse sofferenze patite da lui 10 anni prima quando, a causa della quarta Guerra, la città di Fuyuki venne devastata.

Le due stagioni della serie anime “Fate/stay night’s ‘Unlimited Blade Works” (legata alla route di Rin Tohsaka) sono andate in onda fra il 2014 e il 2015 e sono disponibili in streaming su VVVVID sottotitolate e doppiate in italiano. Dynit ne ha distribuito anche una versione home video.

La primissima serie di “Fate/stay night” (legata alla route di Saber/Arturia), inedita in Italia, è andata in onda nel 2005.
