Given how that one senile knight formally retains his position in the chain of command, do you think a high office in the Night's Watch is for life and that maybe Jon couldn't replace Bowen Marsh & Yxxxx (the Builder guy)? Or even Hobb, whose cooking is universally disparaged? There seems to be the same thing going on where until they find Benjen's corpse, no one else can be officially promoted to full his post?

I’m assuming you’re referring to Wynton Stout. As I understand it, he was appointed as castellan by Bowen Marsh, and he was left out of the ranging by Jeor Mormont, so I think it’s more institutional inertia and social class doing its work rather than a formalized position for life. Given that Jon and Donal Noye simply work around him, I think the Watch simply produces ad hoc solutions when an individual begins to degrade in mental state, not wishing to insult their brother feeling the burdens of age but ensuring operational effectiveness.

As for Benjen, I think Jeor was hoping that Benjen was still alive, and so simply appoint Ser Jaremy Rykker as acting First Ranger, as he would be formally recognizing Benjen’s death by giving him the post officially.

Since The Movies by now defunct deleloper lionhead studios game came and went I have always wanted a game to take it's place. Movie house is a good alternative although game play is very different it does scratch that movie making itch. And seems to have some surprising depth. This is the first video in a mini series and I very much enjoyed the game. let me know what you think in the comments. the trip to visit my friends was good, ill probably come on here later and share the notes i took of what we did once i get some down time later tonight. i had lots of fun with them, and i really really miss them alot. i love those two with every ounce of my soul and i just wish i could've stayed there and helped them around the house or watching tv with them or anything. i would give anything to do it all over again. SXXX and YX i really love you alot and i wish i had the vocabulary and the guts to really elaborate on that.

today ill be going to my hs friend DXXXs place for a yearly Christmas party and i hope im not too big of a bummer.. i didnt even manage to get anyone gifts this year because i was so panicked about having enough to visit SXXX and YXXXX.... but heres to the best.

future me, please never forget what happened this weekend because it was the greatest weekend of our lives.
