All the World a Stage ch. 18

Rudolph Jones is now back in prison, and all attention turns to Gotham in the last mad dash to find Annabel before it's too late. While Akko does her part to sweep the Flood Zone for the girl, Diana takes advantage of everyone now being at the Manor to have some much-needed conversations in the brief moment of respite that they find themselves in. Her friends deserve that and more.

Meanwhile, Annabel knows that things are terrible wrong and offers one final act of defiance. Hopefully it will be enough.

Song Recommendation Double Feature: Yumi Zouma Edition!

What uuuup!? I'm really super insanely bad at sticking to these weekly things so this is just gonna happen as I listen to my music and want to post about it. I'll try to be as frequent as possible but no promises :P

This week we welcome... Yumi Zouma!

An adorable little band that started as a long distance affair, if chill indie pop is what you're after these guys are your fix. I've personally been on a bit of a binge of their discography but what's really captured my heart was the alternate version of their third album: Truth or Consequences

My favorite two songs from this album are undoubtedly Lonely After and Sage. Right Track is a runner up but these two just take the cake.

Sage is thumpy, dark, and is just such a fun listen. Christie Simpson's voice is this wonderful, light, whispy voice that really fits perfectly in songs like this. From the recurring echo-y synths from the intro to the soft sung vocals it's a loopable, relaxing song that still manages to feel upbeat.

Lonely After is my number one track from the album. The intro is slow, but leads into a very energetic song that I think is a fantastic first song. You can hear everyone in this song stand out in their respective areas. It's a fun contrast between the light group vocals and the upbeat music. Incredibly catchy, insanely loopable (I listened to this one for a week straight) and it just shows off what Yumi Zoumas sound is truly like. Using this song as a first impression gives you a very good idea of what most of their songs sound like so if you like this song, you have a fun backlog to go through.
