hoo boy this was an undertaking :D i drew a Wedding Zolf/Hamid comic for my dear friend @lovefourtydown​ for @fandomtrumpshate​!!

The prompt was a bright wholesome magically wedding and im happy to deliver it <3

Man just like... Epilogue Zamid gives me the feels whether that's romantic or platonic or what cause like, they spent the whole campaign failing to really work together and really get along and I'd pretty much just accepted that like, the endgame for these characters was just some people can't work it out and they're probably not going to continue to work together once they're not forced to by dire circumstances and then when epilogue three rolled around and they actually got along and we're friends and like, it wasn't that they were only working together because of the stress of the situation, with the stress of the situation lifted and enough time to grow they did actually find common ground like yes!

This has been my sleep deprived rant about Zamid, pls enjoy I guess.

Set after the first epilogue, Zolf comes to visit Hamid in Cairo.  They find themselves relying on each other to cope with the Change and everything they lost, and become closer than they ever were while trying to save the world. They work to fit their new relationship in with the one that Zolf and Wilde already share, while forming something new amongst the three of them and finding solace in each other.

 RQG request #35, @stuffandsuchrqg mentioned that they would like something from my fic and literally, who in all the realms am i to deny something so self-indulgent, especially when someone else asks for it? so i went overboard with this little scene from chapter 6. it’s really wild to see it without all the internal monologue and my bruised-black prose. the result is really charming! i love making comics so much! though it is pretty hysterical to spend most of my working hours making them, and when i have time to doodle and play with things like these requests, i’m just stressing over every detail and repeated camera angle for three pages until i remember i’m doing these for fun. so, yeah. good excercise!

 i think my favorite stage still is adding the text... i love this medium.

 the only thing is that i played myself because zolf is a better artist than me and i completely WRECKED that charcoal in the original dsjkfhsdjk... that’s what digital editing is for... 😂😂😂 also, not me realizing i haven’t used onomatopoeias in a decade. hell

SO the idea I have is set after the first epilogue so between the 5 and 10 year mark after the Change. Zolf comes to stay with Hamid in Cairo and Hamid is still sort of working on his clothing lines, working for a tailor to learn the ropes, and Zolf is working with some food pantry sort of things and helping out where he can

There are a lot of little moments featuring Harrison Cambell novels, Zolf not letting anyone touch his chair until finally trusting Hamid to help him out, a tipsy dance at a fancy party (including a drunken kiss that they are Real Awkward about when they sober up until they just have to try it again), Hamid crying in a locked room and Zolf waiting outside like the reverse of what they did in Paris after Mr. Ceiling...

And it has some zoscar too I'm not leaving that out because that qpr is real hecking important to me so there are bits with Zolf talking to Wilde about it and after Zolf and Hamid are A Thing Wilde moves with them to Damascus (where Hamid starts school again) so the three of them are living together and eventually will move together to England and the pub for the final epilogue. (Also Hamid asking Wilde if it's okay for him to ask Zolf to marry him and Wilde agrees as long as he gets to officiate lol)

BUT basically it's Zolf and Hamid learning to cope and thrive after the Change and dealing with everything that entails and it turns out that they're at their happiest when they're together, so long as the world isn't falling apart and they don't have to make those kinds of big decisions
