"Is this how you're going to be like every time we have sex?"

For some reason, Draco's not surprised that Harry's the cuddly type—not when he's all hands and light touches and brushes of fingers ever since they started dating. Still, Draco feels the need to point it out.

"No," Harry answers, a soft mutter against Draco's head. Draco finds that he likes the way that Harry's warm breath tickles. "...does it bother you?" He shifts as if to move away, but Draco tilts his head and Harry nuzzles back in.

"It doesn't. Even if you're worse than my pet kneazle."

Harry snorts. "I am not."

"You are, actually. If you're not careful she might get jealous."

Next to him, Harry starts shaking—the soft hum of laughter vibrating against the roots of Draco's hair, sending a warm gust of pure fondness straight to his chest. "You're ridiculous. Do shut up, you're ruining the moment."

"Shut up? But you seemed to quite like me loud. At least, you liked it when you were—" Draco yelps when Harry pinches him.

"You are horrible. Shush."

"I'm pretty sure that's not what you were saying a couple of minutes ago..." Draco points out. "In fact, I'm quite certain the word you used was the opposite of 'horrible'. Do remind me what it was. I'm having trouble recalling..."

"Oh my god," Harry chuckles, sounding exasperated and giddy and embarrassed all at the same time. "Draco."

"Closer, but not quite."

"Oh, fuck you."

Draco's grin widens and he feels Harry slump against him, maybe realizing just exactly how he fell into that one quite easily. "I am nothing if not versatile. If you'd give me a few minutes we could—"

Harry laughs, tackles Draco into the bed, and cuts him off with a long kiss.

H/D Fan Fair 2021 - Art Claim

An Issue of Touch

Summary: Harry Potter has been enlisted by Professor Longbottom to gather some rare species of water plants for his client's potions project. Seems easy enough but there's a catch, because, isn't there always? Said plant is poisonous and potentially lethal to human touch whilst underwater. What's a herbology assistant to do? Seek the help of a pretty (annoying) merman, of course.

This was originally meant to be a full on comics with loads of panels-- I already managed to make a draft of the story, but due to unforseen cicrcumstances, I wasn't able to complete everything as intended. SO I spurned out two panels instead, which I still hope gave the prompter a little glimpse of the world I envisioned their prompt taking place in.

Anyway, I still had loads of fun making these and playing with the colors, and I may have gotten a bit teary-eyed with all the lovely and nice and encouraging comments during the fest... and maybe a bit starstruck by the comments of some of my fave artists in the fandom, so thank you, thank you, endlessly.🥰

Or: when Draco leaves Scorpius with Harry, he conveniently forgets to tell him that his son's been having bouts of accidental magic. So of course Harry finds this out the hard way: with his hair flickering and sparkling like their bloody house banners, and with Scorpius poof-ing atop the nearest tall furniture he can find and getting stuck there.

"Do you mind explaining why you're half-naked?

"Yes. No. It was-- poof."

"Excuse me?" Draco crosses his arms, and tries not to get too distracted by his idiot's bare chest.

"My shirt. It was here. Then 't was..." Draco jumps, slightly startled when Harry suddenly claps his hands with a-- did he just giggle? "Poof. Gone."

"Poof?"

"Poof." Harry nods, affecting a somber expression before snorting at who-knows-what, all red-faced and with a silly grin on his face.

Draco sighs. "You drank the punch, didn't you?"

Harry blinks at him, eyes unfocused. "No-ooo. Didn't."

"What was it, then?" Draco asks.

"Dunno. Blaise gave it to me. 'S nice."

Of course it was. Blaise is excellent when it comes to mixing drinks. Harry, however, was not as excellent in holding his alcohol. Draco doesn't mind taking care of him, really, but as entertaining as a Harry-drunk-off-his-arse can be, sometimes he can be a bit of a handful. Especially when his magic gets all erratic. Like now, apparently.

"How many times do I need to remind you not to drink anything he gives you in one go?"

Harry shrugs, and sways precariously on the spot. "You're--oh, oops-- too far. C'mere."

Draco quips an eyebrow. "You come here."

"Bossy," Harry huffs, but makes his way over on alcohol-shaky-steps anyway. He almost manages to stay vertical but trips on his own bare feet (where the hell did Harry vanish his clothes anyway?) on his last few steps. Draco's arms shoot out reflexively to catch him but he overbalances, and they tumble down the floor, ending in a tangle of warm limbs.

"Oh--" Harry says, propping himself up on his elbows before Draco can complain about the weight. "That's better." He tips his head forward and grins at Draco, and whatever irritation Draco feels about being knocked over melts at the sight of it.

Harry's face is shining with pure fondness and adoration and Draco's chest clenches just a bit.

"Hi," Harry mutters, grin softening into a smile that Draco's always thought is reserved just for him. Just for the two of them.

"Hi, yourself."

"Can we kiss now?"

Draco rolls his eyes, amused despite himself. "Let's get you home first, shall we?"

"Wha-- no-ooo. 'S nice. Comfy. Warm."

"It would be warmer if we got you something to wear."

"No."

"Harry--"

"No. Shh."

"Did you just shush me?"

"Yes. Now shh. Kiss."

"Idio--mmph."
