If this man spends any more time in the closet he might as well install a kitchen.

Okay so … I get really silly when I have to stay up all night and stave off boredom. It’s a very long and winding explanation but basically:
- personal gripe about DnD OCs who are described as “lone wolves” (I know I’ve made a small army of those types of OCs when I was inexperienced in writing so I’m not judging too harshly but it is a very annoying trope)
- really the whole trap of “Main Character Syndrome” people fall into when first making any kind of OC
- adding the fact that it seems like everyone realllyyy likes the Aragorn entrance style of introducing their character: hidden mostly in shadow as they sit in the corner of a tavern, smoking a pipe, and being all edgy and dark and ~mysterious~ (though Aragorn was never really a Lone Wolf as far as I know)
- plus the concept of a tavern with infinite corners and patronized almost exclusively by these stereotypical protagonist wanna-be’s and staffed by the most “absolutely done with this shit” bar maiden in the world sounds almost like something Pratchett would write and I’m on board with this.
No this is not becoming a thing just know that she definitely leaves her minimum wage bar job and idk defeats an evil wizard or something with a found family. She then fulfills her life goal of owning and operating her own tavern.
It’s in the shape of a circle.
