(for backstory, just remember that this is a dark mafia romance, and Tristan and Morana are enemies xD)

I love this idea so much because in canon:

they first had sex in the bathroom of this super high-scale champagne-wine-and-menus-with-no-prices restaurant while Morana's father and guards were on the other side of the door

Tristan repeatedly tells Morana not to mistake him for a gentleman, or mistake him for a man who does all the romantic shit, and Morana doesn't want him to be anything less than what he is, but Tristan ends up doing some of that stuff anyway???

Morana tells Tristan later that she's never been on a date before

Tristan makes that come true for her

But, if I were to write this fic...I think I would have him setting up a date at home. Tristan canonically loves cooking (something he keeps hidden under his steel-enforced mask), and he loves cooking for her even more because she always relishes every piece of him like it's something precious.

So...he'd make a nice dinner, set up a date with movie-typical candles and roses in their home. Maybe not the typical candlestick candles, but one of those fragrant ones that Morana loves, a smell that comforts her but one that doesn't clash with the roses. And he'd cook the first dish he ever made for her, all those weeks ago when she'd run to him for safety. And he's a little awkward about it the entire time because he doesn't know how to do the soft stuff, but he's trying to let Morana see the rare soft parts of him.

And at that dinner, Morana would reveal a tattoo of her own, around her ring finger - Tristan - to match the tattoo Tristan has of Morana on his own finger.

But also, I can picture an angsty masquerade ball, but that's for another day dajskldj

Eddie standing in Steve’s kitchen being mid conversation with Robin and just in general being in Steve’s way. Now normally Steve would just budge past him but with Eddie especially he’s worried about being a jock/bully and react like Steve’s shoving him. So Steve just puts his hands on Eddies waist and picks him up then plops him to side because that seems nicer, then just goes about getting stuff from the fridge. I had this idea stuck in my head for some time

I made a Filipino Creatures Au for the Total Drama RebootAs of right now, I only drew Mk as a Manananggal, Julia as Sirena and Zee as a Kapre

I imagined Scary Girl as White Lady and maybe the Hockey Bros could be Tikbalangs

Mk would be a Manananggal because people would underestimate her due ti being human in the day and a half-bodied creature in the night, and also "flying' under the radar with her wings

Julia is Sirena (other countries also have this creature) mainly because she sings to attract people but drags them down in the water. Like how she fakes her personality at first in the show, so I would like to think no one suspects a mermaid to do mean things

Zee is mainly Kapre because... well Kapre likes to smoke cigars and I guess Zee has an addiction to sodas so I thought it fits him well

Please tell me more creatures that'll fit the other contestants

some random reboot headcanons because I just finished season 1 but you can clearly tell who my favorites are

Lauren/Scary Girl is so transfem demigirl to me and I can't explain why

Lauren showed Damien smile HD and/or cupcakes and now he's traumatized

Damien got into science from those grow your own crystal kits

I feel like he has a favorite word

Lauren got Damien a cactus and he named it after the shade of green it was

Raj taught Bowie how to ice skate

Raj has absolutely no storage space on his phone so Bowie's always the one taking photos

Wayne will tease Raj about literally anything but if he notices Raj getting upset he immediately stops

They play wrestle CONSTANTLY (and Bowie has to watch and make sure nobody breaks anything)

Wayne LOVES pies

He actually gets pie for his birthday more then he does cake

Bowie wears perfume (sometimes)

He eventually starts understanding Wayne and Raj's hockey lingo after hanging around them so much

He most definitely took Raj clothes shopping atleast once

Bowie got Raj a fidget slug and he fucking loves it and takes it everywhere

Wayne and Raj started collecting fidget toys after that

Axel keeps having this recurring dream where she cooks and eats her neighbor's cat (this started as an inside joke but I kinda see it)

Chase livestreamed himself reading fanfictions about himself with Ripper and Zee (it ended with Chase curled up on the floor crying, Zee trying to comfort him, and Ripper going on a rant about why Andrew Tate isn't an alfalfa male)

Chase has been banned from multiple public places including but not limited to: Disneyland, Disneyworld, every Walmart in Canada, most Targets, about 5 McDonald's, and two malls

Chase has low empathy, while Emma has high empathy, which leads to a lot of disagreements

This mf is like the JayStation of Total Drama of course he makes 3am challenges and dark web videos (and of course has gotten canceled)

Zee most definitely likes the emperors new groove

Actually, he likes a lot of movies, but he sometimes forgets that he's watching them halfway through

She has slight anger issues (and trust issues)

Ripper has dandruff and I can't explain what makes me think that I just do

Priya's parents were friends with Sierra and were super jealous when she got on the show, which led to them falling out

Sierra actually recognized Priya for this reason, and got into contact with her after s1 ended

Sierra is basically Priya' crazy aunt

Priya ran away after s2 because she didn't want to face her parents after losing, and she moves in with either Millie or Sierra

Millie makes video essays where she just infodumps

Guys guys guys I had a realization and it's been keeping me up at night

You know how the Ballisters from the comic and movie have slightly different names? While a lot of people don't like that I actually really do, because they are functionally different characters so it feels fitting for them to have different names (Boldheart/Blackheart)

The only thing it has me thinking was that I wished Ambrosius was similarly differentiated because his book and movie versions are also completely different characters but hey, I get it, you can't get any more perfect of a name than "Ambrosius Goldenloin" so they decided to keep it the same. But what if they didn't?

When I first read this panel I assumed that the bully (Comic Todd?) was just mispronouncing his name. I mean, we know how Ambrosius is pronounced because of the movie, right?

But Ballister doesn't say "that's a mispronunciation" he says "that's just his name."

What if Comic Ambrosius and Movie Ambrosius have differently pronounced names and that's where the difference in their naming lies? With movie Ambrosius having 3 syllabus (Am-bro-zhus) and comic Ambrosius having 4 (Am-bro-zee-us)?

It doesn't help me differentiate when writing Tumblr posts unfortunately but it does give cute nickname ideas that the two would have that are different which might help when writing fics where they interact

Grand Geode, 1883. Lieutenant Roberts sees a familiar face. Or at least something wearing that face.

There’s a storm coming. Heat and humidity hang in the air, adding strain to each breath. Sweat pools at the back of Roberts’ neck, the droplets sliding down the curve of his spine beneath his uniform. He does his best to ignore the discomfort, gripping the folder in his hands yet tighter as he follows a familiar set of turns down the hall to the Commodore’s office.

In a previous life, he may have regarded his current position as gruntwork–dull, administrative minutia, a world away from any action on the Zee, but in moments like these he finds he doesn’t mind. Any moment now, the heat will break, and the Zee will roil under a torrent of foetid-smelling rain, befouled by the Wax Wind. He does not envy the men on their ships when the storm inevitably hits. Carrying documents up the chain is fine by him, if it means stable stone under his dry feet, and a bed that does not sway with the tides. 

He turns the corner, and before his hand can even touch the office door, Roberts feels the sudden charge in the air, white-hot and electric, and the hairs on his arms stand on end. The sensation calls back to something familiar, half-forgotten in the back of his mind. He wonders if he should leave, perhaps come back later. But before he has time to properly question it, the Commodore’s voice rings out through the door, as if able to sense his presence through the thick wood.

“Who’s there?” 

“It’s Lieutenant Roberts, sir,” he says. 

The Commodore is silent for a beat, then answers softly, as if forgetting the heavy door between them.

“Elias, why don’t you come in.” 

It’s not framed as a question. And so he does.

The Commodore sits at his desk, in the exact position where Roberts has seen him hundreds of times before. But this time is different. This time, he has a visitor. Radiant. That’s the only way he can think of to describe her. A singular point in the centre of the room, the axis around which so many golden threads warp and turn. She does not look happy to see them. In fact, she doesn’t look much of anything, and he struggles to make out her features through the brilliant haze she emanates. 

“Elias, you remember June, don’t you?” There’s a placidness to the Commodore’s voice that he so rarely hears. The man has not taken his eyes off of June since Roberts had entered the room, and he can hardly do so himself. 

Indeed he remembers her. If he squints into that light he can even make out her features, unchanged from when he’d last seen her, nearly two decades prior. He feels warm. Not the muggy heat smothering Zelo’s Town, but a glow, spreading from within his chest out into his limbs. 

“Of course,” he says. How could he forget?

June does not greet him. She does not take her eyes off of the serene face of the Commodore. When her mouth opens, the sound that comes out is otherworldly, timbres not possible on human vocal chords. The sound reverberates through Roberts’ body, like the bass tones of chugging machinery.

It was something of importance. He’s sure of it. She wouldn’t be here, speaking to him, to them, to the Commodore, were it not. A Zee captain will return, and when they do, the Admiralty will be ready. She leaves her instructions. Her voice is so warm, all-encompassing, a rumbling static beating a tune against his eardrums. He will complete the Work. Whatever it is she needs, he will do. They will do. 

He tells her this. At least, he thinks he does. Whether or not he speaks the words out loud she must know this of him. Her eyes are on the Commodore, whose head nods in a slow daze. Of course they can manage. He’ll personally ensure they have the supplies they need. More heat. Pride, this time, that they can do what she requests of them. 

And then she turns to him, golden eyes boring directly through him, setting him alight. Her lips open to speak and–

He comes to at a raucous peel of thunder. June is long gone, and he shivers at the unexpected cold left by her absence, despite the muggy air. Yet despite the chill of her absence, he feels… calm. A slow satisfaction at having done… something right. At least, he feels so. Something worthwhile. 

It’s only several minutes later, when he stands under the building’s awning, the rhythm of rain pounding a frenetic drumbeat into the steel roof, that he realises he’s still clutching the missive meant for the Commodore.
