The Character Cameos!

I watched the pixel Yuji subway video Shonen Jump released [link at the bottom] and noticed some details. I'm splitting this into 2 or 3 posts. This one is focusing on the characters that show up.

I talk briefly about the ads & posters here!

Spoilers ahead for those who aren't caught up with the manga!

So the video starts off with Yuji riding the subway, which I believe is a reference to the first JJK opening in which he does the same there. During the ride he is joined by Satoru, Megumi and Nobara. Along the way, there are some cameos by some of the cast.

Ueno Stop - Toge, Panda and Maki

When someone criticises Gege Akutami for their poor writing of women don't bring up Maki. Maki's originality died after the arc where she massacred her clan and Mai's death. After that arc it's been continuously pointing her as Female Toji. She has no originality anymore. She's continuously compared to Toji. It's directly saying that this woman is solely there to be a replacement for Toji. And if you only have one character to bring up when defending Gege, that already points out how much underutilized their female characters are. They brought out good female characters earlier in the story and forgot how to deal with them. Nobara and Maki in Shibuya arc were so underutilized, it hurt to watch. Making Nobara fight Mahito only to kill her off in front of Itadori for his character growth was so disappointing. Maki barely got screentime in Shibuya arc. Shoko is the strongest user of reverse cursed technique and she doesn't get any screentime. Jjk has so many female characters and yet barely any of them showed up in culling games. Hana's character deserved more than being an obsessive girl in love. Tsumiki was brought back only to be possessed by an obsessive woman. I don't even wanna talk about Yuki cause I'm so upset with the way she was dealt with. Kyoto female students are barely there... And saying many shonen don't have strong women is a bad take cause I assure you there are shonen mangas that do.
