Calderia Falls

The outer city-states had fallen one by one, each rolling over as Zaphyr's hordes plowed through their borders, Venerys blades and swift gryphons no match for Accipiter's swords and the massive, vicious brobdingnagians they brought down from the mountains. It had been inevitable -- she knew from the moment they'd crossed the borders -- there was no way that Calderia and the Lilalun Palace would hold against them. Ash drifted through the air, choking the life out of her home and her people. It covered the city in white, particles of her people’s lives, like a mourning veil on the homes below her.

She watched from the safety of the palace rooftop, in the inner wall and far away from the brunt of the fighting. The Abettors’ wings fluttered nervously, ready to whisk her away when she gave the word. If they'd had their way, if they weren’t bound to the order of the queen, she would've been miles away from this place, perhaps even off of the planet all together, but 

“Majesty.” A murmur as Zaphyr’s brobdingnagians knocked over the gates and the surrounding wall. The wind whipped through wings and her clothes. The thunderous crash echoed in her ears. It wouldn’t take them long to breach the gate at the north bridge and trample through the city market and the terrified civilians huddled in their cellars. 

How many would he kill looking for her? She flinched. 

“Majesty.”

“No.” Her wings flared. She turned away from the ash. She turned away from the blood and desperate cries. The smell didn't leave her nostrils. The sounds continued to ring in her ears. \ She faced her Abettors. Their wings vanished and they bowed their heads, fists over their hearts. “Take me to the throne room. You will stand down after that.”

“Majesty.” 

“That is an order. You will stand down.”

for the long-running albeit recently lapsed housemates star wars rpg campaign, i built a character and @combat-epistemologist built a character; we quickly discovered that a two-person party kind of sucks, so dm @transbionic-shieldmaiden built a bunch of other lesbian npcs for us to hang out with. in a typical encounter each of us will be given the steering wheel on a lesbian or two in addition to our regular PCs, just to liven things up a bit. (which i guess is less of an NPC and more of a... quasi-player character? or something.) they didn't necessarily all have to be lesbians, but have you MET @transbionic-shieldmaiden??

so anyway i'm working on my silly little dice.py TUI and flipping through the pile of character sheets for various star wars lesbians as i add all their weapons to the character library and i keep looking over at @transbionic-shieldmaiden and saying, like, lin zeria can reroll all 1's on her blaster damage??? why would you do this to me TT__TT
