I like how Jason's reputation amongst the gods kind of cements his character as a dutiful leader. I know most ppl don't like the fact that he's all goody goody, but it really fits his arc well, and i like reading about it. it's one of the things about Jason that Rick didn't fumble. He was consistent with his character being dutiful and noble till the very end and makes it a point to show that through others perception.
Zeus- Okay he's a horrible dad, but he did initially respect his son (before jason opposed him in front of the gods, that kinda warped his ego) even going as far as to saying that he was proud to have him as a son and stuff. Which was a pretty ooc thing for Zeus to do especially to his sons. Too bad it only lasted for a few seconds before he went back to being bitchy.
Hera- Jason changed her perception of demigods, we know Hera hated all demigods bc half of them are sired by her husband, she wanted to use jason as a pawn to Gaia's defeat. But all those times she treated jason as her champion, she ended up actually caring about him and considered him a son. She mourned and cried about Jason MONTHS after he died, even going as far as to yell at her husband for not caring or grieving about the child that HE sired.
Apollo- self explanatory, Jason stood up for Apollo from the very beginning, and ended up dying for his sake, even when didn't have to do that. Jason made Apollo understand to have empathy for humans ("Remember what it's like to be human") and made Apollo stop being so full of himself with his selfless sacrifice. So apollo is the Olympian who has the most amount of respect for Jason. And made sure that Jason's sacrifice would not be in vain.
Artemis- if you go to the official Riordan wiki fanpage for Artemis, it's mentioned that Percy and Jason were two of the only male demigods that she had immense respect for. She mentally thanked Jason for standing up to Zeus for Apollo. Of course, being Thalia's brother could also give jason browny points aswell lol.
Athena- She seemed to respect Jason's wisdom in blood of Olympus, when he told his dad that it was unwise to punish apollo for Gaia's waking. Well know Athena respects anyone who has shown wisdom. She shot Jason a very approving look. So it's nice that Athena, who is very critical and picky, observed that Jason is a well thought out and insightful individual.
Aphrodite- kind of self explanatory too, she called jason a lovely boy in piper's dream, even alluding that jason needed absolutely no physical improvement in his looks aswell. I know this has nothing to do with Jason's dutifulness but Aphrodite can sense a person's heart and nature, and she immediately thought jason was perfect for her daughter even before they started dating. We know how picky Aphrodite is when it comes to who people date lol
Bacchus/Dionysus- We know that Bacchus had somewhat remembered Jason (calling him John green and all lol) because jason had done services for him (something about a leopard, iforgot lol). And annabeth pointed out that it was a good thing that jason and Bacchus were on fairly good terms. So there's that.

Personally I believe that Apollo learned a lot from his previous stints as mortal. Things like, bricklaying, slavery doesn’t just suck it really really sucks, sleep and food are required not optional if you are now mortal, cheese making, cow herding, you must obey all of your fathers commands and rebellion is impossible.

I made a post abt it on my old blog but I'm gonna say it again.
Stop treating Greek Mythology like it's a fandom and like it's there for your own entertainment.
It's not a movie or a book or fanfiction written by your thirteen year old cousin.
It's part of the culture and history of a fucking country, show some fucking respect.

Prometheus: Ally to Mortals illustrated by me
In his works, Hesiod relates the tales of Prometheus; Titan of craftiness and forethought. Refusing to fight in the Titanomachy war, Prometheus is spared from being sent down to imprisonment in Tartarus. But the Titan is far from an ally of Zeus.
In a dispute between mortals and Gods over the distribution of Ox meat for sacrifice, Prometheus intervenes to assist humanity. He wraps one pile of bones with juicy fat, the other, he hides the good meat within a hide. Asked to choose, Zeus is fooled into picking the more visually appealing pile; which is mostly bones.
In another episode, Zeus keeps fire hidden from humanity for fear that the mortals would make too much progress with such an advantageous tool. Again, Prometheus rebels, stealing the fire from Mt. Olympus and delivering the flames to humanity in a hollow fennel stock. For such a transgression, Prometheus was “…bound with inextricable bonds, cruel chains, and drove a shaft through his middle, and set on him a long-winged eagle, which used to eat his immortal liver; but by night the liver grew as much again everyway as the long-winged bird devoured in the whole day.” (white)
In Aeschylus Tragedy play Prometheus Bound, characters visit and talk with the tortured Titan, who supports humanities autonomy and potential against divine authority, and even prophecies the downfall of Zeus. In the play, Prometheus mentions his role in the formation of humanity from clay and breathing life into it.
Like the later myth of Jesus Christ, Prometheus challenges the established authority, sacrifices himself for the benefit of humanity and suffers the severe consequences of his rebellion.
Thanks for looking and reading! If you share this image ill bring you some fire in a fennel stalk to keep you warm

The Evermore Grimoire: Greek Mythology
Gaia (Γαῖα meaning ‘earth’) was the goddess of the earth and one of the primordial elemental deities born at the dawn of creation in Greek mythology. She was one of the first beings to emerge from Khaos at the creation of the Universe and was the mother of all Gods, Giants and mortal creatures who sprang from her. Gaia was also the prime opponent of the heavenly gods. First she rebelled against her husband Ouranós (god of the sky), then she assisted Zeus (king of the gods) in overthrowing Kronos (god of time). Eventually though, she became angry with Zeus for putting her Titan sons into Tartarus, by producing the tribe of Giants and Typheous to try and destroy and dethrone him, but she sadly failed at both attempts.

Saturn - The Power of Privacy
Tumblr media
The order of the planets according to the Nakshatra system teaches us that Saturn is an inevitable consequence of Jupiter and all the negativity associated with it is misunderstood because people misunderstand both planets.
If you really want to understand Jupiter's nature, think of two things - your family circle, and the myths of Zeus in Greek mythology. Zeus is known for having many affairs with both godesses and mortals, and is particularly known for using his divine powers to peek on beautiful human women in private situations and then seduce them. The reason for such behaviour is that Jupiter is an active, mobile planet and it likes surrounding and "enveloping" things. He likes to see everything and take any opportunity to expand so that he can be everywhere, just like Zeus is not picky in the quality of his lovers and has no problem consorting with mortals. In moderation, being surrounded is protection. In excess, that's suffocating.
That feeling extends to how people feel about families. In moderation, family protection is healthy, gives us support and allows us to move forward with our goals. In excess, it makes us feel smothered, suffocated and leads to rebellion.
That is why Saturn, that follows Jupiter is a rebel but also a planet of shadows. In his spiritual sensitivity, Saturn can sense Jupiter's ever present prying eyes. He finds such constant scrutiny and influence invasive and not only seeks dark places to find relief in solitude, but purposefully chooses an unassuming or even deliberately repelling disguise in order to carve independent space for himself.
It shows us an interesting perspective of our psychology and shines light on the idea of Saturnian suffering, that while Jupiter is such an abundant planet it can feel overwhelming in the sense of our creativity and achievement, as the intensity takes away our ability to focus and perfect our craft. A lot of pain and shame we are subjected to in Saturnian areas comes from feeling like people meddled with us in this department in such a way that we feel like we couldn't be ourselves and do what we wanted, so we hid our authentic self to prevent it from being spied on and influenced by unwanted forces.
In a way it can feel like Zeus himself takes over our identity whenever he approaches us and we lose ourselves to him. So in order to feel more like our true innermost selves again we need Saturn's darkness to inspire an authentic creative process. As a result, in this area we become truly original and a genuine, non invasive influence to others.

I think that Zeus was happy when Helios faded.
Most abusers don’t want positive parental figures in the victim’s lives, and Zeus is part of that majority. Helios served as a pseudo-parental figure towards Apollo while he was apprenticed to him and although the abuse was not as strong at the time in Ancient Greece, it was still there. Zeus knew that Helios’ influence could cause Apollo to realize how he was being manipulated and understand that father figures are not meant to be abusive, cruel, or manipulative, leading to rebel against Zeus as he had already done before. Even though Helios’ death means that Apollo gets more power, he now has one less trusted source to confide in when Zeus scales his abuse in response to the increase in power.

mission accomplished | victorious
three demigods and one mission
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the mission was given by hephaestus, god of blacksmiths and fire. he was robbed by two rebel cyclops who stole achilles’ battle equipment from his work place.
at the time hephaestus was working in a big project for the olympus and didn’t have time to search for his former employees, but thetis wouldn’t let him do anything before her son’s equipment was back at it’s place. the best solution he could think about was sending a mission to camp half blood and waiting until some demigods solve his problems.
» mission for a son of zeus, a daughter of athena and a daughter of nike
no one expected these three to be on the same team, but it was a special request from thetis (achilles’ mother) who thought they’d make the perfect team to bring back her son’s equipment.
poor daughter of athena found out she was going on a mission and got anxious, waking up at five in the morning to get ready and make sure everything would work according to the plan (a plan that neither zeus’ son nor nike’s daughter were aware of).
the daughter of nike wished she could have slept a little longer, but her siblings had another idea. it wasn’t even 4a.m when everyone cabin 17 were awake to start a kind of ritual to make sure she would be successful in her mission.
meanwhile cabin 6 and 17 were getting ready to go, the son of zeus didn’t look worried at all. maybe at this point he was already used to the gods asking him to do their work for them. he was taking so much time to get ready that the two girls considered leaving him behind (chiron wouldn’t let them though).
anyway, the first argument they’d have started before they even left the camp, and would only end when they came back. “who’s the leader?”, they never came to a conclusion… 🤷‍♀️
this team would have a lot of communication issues and would constantly try to outshine each other when it all started.
cabin 1, 6 and 17 are known for their leadership and fighting skills but we can say they have very different strategies that could cause some arguments from time to time.
the athena’s child would be the first to notice that they would die if they kept acting like that. she tried to make the other two behave but they didn’t pay attention to it, well…until they almost were killed by a minotaur, them they started considering that maybe she was right.
athena and nike almost set off fireworks from the olympus when their daughters cooperated with each other.
and the two girls became friends after some days, and just like their mothers, they made great fighting partners. the son of zeus was a bit more individualist and thought that a mission was supposed to be something serious, and not a “friendly adventure” like he said.
but he eventually opened up to the girls about his life as well
okay, NOW they are the perfect team. their abilities worked really well together, every monster or mythological creature that crossed their path was easily defeated.
the cyclops though weren’t that easy.
the team found them hiding in a gas station in the middle of nowhere with another one of them and two harpies.
nike’s daughter used her wings to get the harpies’ attention and flew away with them behind her to a place where the other two were waiting.
they killed them first and them went to the gas station to confront the cyclops.
they managed to kill two of them but at some point the son of zeus and the daughter of athena got hurt and they decided to just get what was stolen and go back to the camp.
success! the daughter of athena got achilles’ battle equipment while nike’s daughter was flying around with zeus’ son to distract the monster.
nike’s daughter ended up having to carry the other two until they found a bus that was going to Long Island.
back at camp half blood, they were welcomed by their siblings and chiron. they took the injured ones to the infirmary, where the apollo’s kids took care of them.
mr d. got into an argument with the nike’s daughter because she wouldn’t give the equipment to him until her new friends were feeling better.
she waited for the athena’s daughter and zeus’ son to fully recover so the three of them could complete their mission together.
thetis went to the camp herself to get her son’s equipment back and thank the demigods for their help.
there’s a big chance they kept being friends after the end of this quest.
⤷ author’s note:

A Statue of Atlas Emerges From the Ruins of Sicily’s Ancient Temple of Zeus
In the fifth century B.C.E., 38 looming sculptures of the Titan stood guard at the structure.
After 20 years of restorations, a 26-foot-tall statue of Atlas is once again standing guard at the ancient Temple of Zeus in the city of Agrigento (once called Akragas) in Sicily.
The statue, created in the fifth century B.C.E., was one of roughly 38 similar Atlas monuments built into the temple. They stood in a line between columns with their arms raised, appearing to hold the holy structure upright.
Tumblr media
In Greek mythology, Atlas was a Titan who rebelled in a war against Zeus. As punishment, he was forced to hold up the sky on his shoulders. Unlike the mythological Atlas, however, the stone likenesses were unable to hold up Zeus’ temple forever. Ultimately, earthquakes and other events caused the structure to crumble.
For many years, pieces of the statues were scattered around the site amongst other ancient ruins. In 1812, Charles Robert Cockerell, a prominent British architect, first identified one of the Titan’s giant sandstone heads during a visit to Agrigento. A century later, in 1920, archaeologist Pirro Marconi became the first person to attempt to reconstruct one of the Atlases, which is now housed in the Archaeological Museum of Agrigento.
The seeds of the current project began in 2004, when the Valley of the Temples park conducted a sweeping research campaign at the site. Experts cataloged 90 fragments from at least eight Atlas statues.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“The idea was to reposition one of these Atlases in front of the temple so that it may serve as a guardian of the structure dedicated to the father of the gods,” Roberto Sciarratta, the director of the Valley of the Temples park, tells the Guardian’s Lorenzo Tondo.
But rebuilding Atlas in a standing position was particularly challenging, as researchers couldn’t simply stack the pieces of the statue on top of one another. Instead, they attached the fragments to metal shelves, which are supported by a larger metal structure.
The restoration has faced scrutiny ever since officials first announced it several years ago.
“No archaeologist would endorse the use of ancient sculpture, no matter how fragmentary, to create a modern sculpture, even if the purpose is to highlight the site’s antiquity,” C. Brian Rose, an archaeologist at the University of Pennsylvania, told the New York Times’ Franz Lidz in 2020.
But officials like Renato Schifani, the Sicilian governor, think that the statue’s resurrection is a commendable feat.
“Today is an important day for Agrigento and for all of Sicily,” says Schifani in a statement, per Google Translate. “This stone giant of ancient Akragas, which after many years of studies and research we can observe in its natural position, is the heart of an important museum project of the entire area of the Temple of Zeus."
