Kearran Giovanni (Major Crimes), Geoffrey Cantor (Marvel’s Daredevil, The Punisher), Michael Paul Chan (Major Crimes) and Insatiable‘s Erinn Westbrook are set for recurring roles on the upcoming third season of Fox’s hit medical drama series The Resident.

Giovanni will play Andrea Braydon. Passionate, articulate, smart, fit, “Andrea” is a fitness teacher who tries to find investors for her supplement product.

Cantor will play Zip, the father of Grayson (Radek Lord), a wealthy, successful businessman who is sometimes neurotic and cloying. Zip plays golf with Bell and, after giving him some annoying pointers on his swing, agrees to go into business with him.

Chan will portray Yee Austin, Austin’s (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) adoptive father and co-owner of Yee’s Chinese Restaurant. Jovial, a little corny, warm, caring and extremely supportive, he always puts his son first.

how did you first meet grayson + his family?? <3 <3

MY FAMILY🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 I met Grayson when he first came to work at Chastain (The hospital I work at) as Dr. Bell's (Or as Grayson likes to call him Dr. B😂👌🥺) and we became quick friends (Because he's really funny and sweet and adorable🥺) but it took me awhile to realize my feelings for him (Which I know I shouldn't but I honestly feel really bad about that🥺) BUT AS SOON AS I REALIZED IT WAS GAME OVER FOR MY ASS🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺😂😂😂😂😂 And I feel like Grayson realized his feelings pretty quickly and he was NOT subtle about it👀👀👀👀👀

And I met Grayson's dad, Zip Betournay, when Dr. B partnered with him for Andrea's supplement brand🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 We got along super well and became really close and we joke around a lot, especially about eachother😂👌👀

I met Grayson's mom, Vivian Betournay, when she came to the hospital one day for medical help (Not for anything super serious) which really freaked me out because I wasn't expecting to meet her right then and there and I was already really nervous to meet her and Grayson's dad and I was one of the doctors treating her for what ended up being Gonorrhea so that was kind of an awkward first meeting😂😂😂😂😂 But I think it still went well and I think she liked me (I also think Kitt put in a good word for me as she was also one of the doctors treating her👀)

And were all super close and they are my surrogate parents and I love my family so much🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Ok so these are kind of a mix or comfort and general headcanons of me and Grayson and his family because I really need this right now and these make me feel better🥺 (Also I'll probably have a lot more to add later so I'll just call this part 1 or the first batch of headcanons😂) (TW Also some of this could be triggering) (This is totally ok to rb and/or comment on but please don't feel like you have to!)

Starting off Grayson and his family are the most loving, supportive, helpful, caring, and amazing family to me in contrast with my other family.

They will always be there for me in whatever way I need whether that's with talking with me, reassurance, physical touch, and just by loving me how I deserve.

We'd have family dinners all the time, I have a problem of eating really fast so I can be done as soon as possible so I don't have to be around my family for any longer than I have to but I actually want to be around Grayson's family so I'd have to learn to eat slowly again. It would be a struggle but Grayson's family would be so supportive and helpful.

They would always help me not feel bad or guilty about eating, they'll always make sure I know it doesn't matter what, how much, or when I eat as long as I eat.

They know about my issues with food (What I mentioned before and I think I may have ARFID) so them and their chefs never get offended or upset with me if I can't eat or finish certain things and they always make sure they have my safe foods.

Dr. B and Kitt Basically Graysons second parents would come over for dinner all the time.

After dinner Grayson's parents would notice me and Grayson cuddling on the couch and gesture over to us to show Dr. Bell and Kitt and they would all gush over how cute we are. Dr. B has to admit we are kind of cute but he totally can't show just how cute he thinks we are so he'd tone himself down a bit👀👀👀

We all spend time a lot of time together, especially because they know that that makes me feel better and that I love being around them, whether that's by playing games together, watching TV together, talking, family dinners like I mentioned before and they're even willing to have us all sleep in the living room together if I'm not feeling good and don't want to be alone, I have Grayson with me most of the time but it's nice to have us all together sometimes.

They're always there for me with any of my health issues, like the physical things like my headaches, back pain and other things and my mental things like my mental illnesses and self hatred and they would always be there for of I ever ended up going to the hospital whether that be for my physical issues or my mental issues.

It's really nice that most of my f/os are doctors so if I ever have any issues, physical or mental, I can imagine them taking care of me at and going to Chastain. (Yes I know that might not be super accurate because of rules and stuff but this is my only way to cope so let me have this!)

I'm completely comfortable around them so I can say and ask stuff that I would normally be really anxious about and wouldn't be able to say and it takes a lot to get me to that place and it's so nice and I'm so glad I'm at that point with them.

Like I've said in a previous post all I want is to fall into Grayson and his familie's arms and have them hold me while I cry and like AKDJFOEUSKDAJ I can do that!

Grayson would hold me while I cry and give me kissed to make me feel better.

And I would just get all the parental and familial love, comfort, affection, and touch that I'm supposed to have.

They would always make me feel better and give me reassurance and remind me and tell me how amazing I am.

They would try with everything in them to make sure I knew how kind, adorable, funny, beautiful, smart, deserving, and loveable I am.

I just love Grayson and his family so much and they love me so much and I'm just so glad I have them in my life and they are so glad they have me in there life and I just ALSJDIDUDSAJ

My recent realization of just how much Grayson loves and cares about me has helped my insecurities about that but it hasn't helped my problems with self hatred completely, it has helped a little but I'm still struggling with it but if Grayson loves and cares about me that much I can't be that bad right?

I just want all of my f/os to be protective over me/protect me. I'm specifically thinking about my surrogate dad Zip Betournay. I want him to protect me from anybody and everything and from myself. Thanksgiving with the Betournay's headcanons:

Headcanons for me spending Thanksgiving with my romantic f/o Grayson Betournay's family🥰 I may add to these later but I just really wanted to get these out while it was still Thanksgiving where I am❤

First off I just want to say, Thanksgiving with the Betournay's would be amazing!

Starting off the food would be so good! They have private chefs so there would be all the Thanksgiving favorites, professionally made.

I absolutely love Grayson and his parents and they absolutely love me so we'd all get along and it wouldn't be the stereotypical awkward Thanksgiving full of potential arguments. Although there may be some awkward moments because there is some family drama.

I'd get a chance to meet the rest of Grayson's family! I'd be nervous about if they'd like me as much as Grayson and his parents but I think they would. Especially because Grayson and his parents would put in good words for me.

I would totally get to hear a TON of embarrassing stories about Grayson! (I mean I already do from his parents but with the rest of his family there I'd get to hear a lot more.

Normally I'd spend a lot of my Thanksgiving working at the hospital because my family lives in Alaska but because I have Grayson and his family now I try my best to get time off of work to spend the holidays with them.

Although I may get called into work periodically but I try my best to get back soon.

Me and Grayson would totally sneak food from the table to the dog👀

This may sound weird but I think Grayson looks adorable when he's eating! Not in an eating fetish kind of way (Even though there's nothing wrong with that) I just think he looks cute when he's eating.

Sleepy full cuddles!!! Me and Grayson would be full and cuddling on the couch after dinner and maybe fall asleep🥺 And someone from Grayson's family may or may not take pitcures.

And Grayson would be playfully pushing on my stomach while I'm laughing telling him to stop.

ALKSPSOLSJ Thanksgiving with the Betournay's would just be the best and I am so thankful I get to spend it with them!🥺

Some headcanons about my relationship with Graysons parents because I've had these for awhile and I really want to let them out and they make me really happy and I'm really excited to share them!🥰 I'm really excited about these so if you can please let me know what you think!🥰 It's totally fine if not though!❤

I met Grayson's dad, Zip Betournay, when Dr Bell recruited him along with Grayson, Andrea, myself, and unfortunately after a while Cain, to start up Andrea's supplement brand (I like to call them the medical dream team, maybe be on the look out for some headcanons about that sometime👀)

I don't know why, especially because Grayson doesn't have the best relationship with him, but I feel like I've connected more with Grayson's dad. I think it's because I joke about a lot of the things he's known for, we joke about eachother, and I just feel like we click super well and we have a really good relationship and joke around a lot. I feel kind of awkward about this sometimes since Grayson and him don't have the best relationship but I feel like it's also a good thing because I've gotten them to start to get closer and they've been doing more stuff together recently🥰

Although I think everyone would to some level I feel like me and Zip are the most likely to indulge in eachothers ideas. We team up to annoy everyone else, whether that's by making bad jokes, doing and saying stupid things, or our inside jokes Similar to me and Grayson

Just like for Grayson I get a lot of stuff that reminds me of them, like I have a palm tree leaf necklace At least that's what i remembered it as but when I went back and looked it wasn't it was some other leaf/plant necklace but it still counts because it's similar!😂 because one time Also the same time we met Vivian was wearing a palm tree leaf dress At least that's what I remembered it as but when I went back and looked it wasn't either it was some other leaf/plant dress but it still counts because it's similar too!😂 and I have this jewerly box/mirror thing hanging on the back of my door and I put the most important to me ones in a specific spot and people asked me why I had the palm tree leaf one there (Just because it didn't seem like one that would normally be my favorite) and I said it was because it reminded me of Vivian and later people told me they thought she was about to explode.

And I have a golf game on my phone I play that reminds me of Zip And although he enjoys real golf more I make him play it with me sometimes

I feel like they are also pretty protective of me and they've helped me a lot. Like Zip will defend me against Cain Or anyone really and encourage me when were making decisions and talking about Andrea's supplement brand or in any situation as will Vivian.

Although Grayson already does this, Zip and Vivian always let me in to stuff like the golf club Zip owns Where sometimes I play gold and other stuff but also sometimes mess around on the golf course

I'm always welcome to come over to their home, whether that be for dinner or just to come over, even if Grayson isn't there

All in all I have a great relationship with Grayson's parents. They support my relationship with Grayson wholeheartedly. It's not at all like the stereotype of partners and inlaws hating eachother. I love them and they love me and we both love their son🥰 Also yes they have asked about grandkids
