you know how resurrected people in asoiaf get singularly obsessed with like one thing they were doing before they died so beric is obsessed with defending smallfolk from invaders and stoneheart is obsessed with revenge against the freys. i think it would be funny if jon came back and he was just tirelessly devoted to the same bland nights watch management as before. just murdering anyone who tries to tear him away from drafting architectural plans for a greenhouse or writing pointless letters. can i dwell on what i scarce remember? sometimes i think i was born on the floor of that stock room, counting barrels of turnips

#i do think it would be kinda boring if he became obsessed with taking winterfell/killing boltons/etc. i guess thinking on it now it’s fairly #likely but idk it’s just not what interests me about jon i guess. I genuinely think the Zombie Boy conversation bt Will and Jonathan in s2e1 is one of my favorites in the whole show. It’s just so wholesome and true. Like “nobody normal ever accomplished anything meaningful in this world” is one of the best lines in the whole show. And then them laughing at Bob together at the end is just the cutest thing ever!!! I love the whole scene so much 🥺🥺🥺

gravely wishing robb stark lived if only so he could see the insane glow ups all the starks had. robb stark comes back to life, the how is not important, anyways all the starks are back together through wish fulfillment magic and like… sansa sweet sansa who dreamed of the south and true love is now goth and there’s rumors all over westeros that she poisoned a king like rock on. oh jon my brother jon who’s at the nights watch… wait he’s actually my cousin. the universe is forcing him into main character ordeals against his will? well what about arya… arya couldn’t have changed much. yea well arya is now a member of a foreign religious assassin guild. oh and rickon well he’s feral, rides unicorns and eats people. and don’t even get him started on bran..

Jon literally grew up idolizing the Targaryens. He liked to pretend to be Aemon the Dragonknight when he played games with Robb. One of his heroes is Daeron the Young Dragon. And of course Maester Aemon was one of his mentors and one of the people Jon admires the most.

Jon's character literally doesn't matter to them when they come up with these "theories". They're just projecting their personal feelings onto Jon so "Targs evil + Jon good = Jon hate Targ". They also try and bring up Brandon and Rickard as though Jon has ever spared them a passing thought. If he cared so much and was soooo anti-targ he wouldn't have had such a good relationship with Maestar Aemon, like you said. They just want the books to follow their personal feelings and they're gonna be pissed when that's not the case.

oh man where would i even begin. im gonna do straight up hard predictions and not allow myself to be very self indulgent here is what i think will happen unironically

melisandre does not intentionally resurrect jon bc that makes no sense for her character. i dont think she'll be the one to do it at all but if she does it will be an accident and also a brain shattering experience for her

jon is considered king beyond the wall (not king in the north.... yet) but you already knew that

jon spends more time beyond the wall actually. i am keeping this concept vague

night lamp is definitely real and stannis takes winterfell at some point but he wont survive the book

sam's oldtown chapters become unexpected fandom sleeper faves like theon's in dance

the rosby heir is olyvar frey

dany does not come to westeros before her final chapter and never even encounters jon. slave revolt in volantis yayyyyyy!!!!!

there is still no R+L=J reveal

loras ends up fine but drastically scarred

elia sand and aegon have a forbidden romance

pyp and grenn die offpage (i predict this so that i can be pleasantly surprised when they show up)

danny flint is revealed to be coldhands shut up actually

gerris drinkwater is surprisingly important to the plot

brienne and jaime both survive the encounter with LSH and survive the whole book i saw this in my mind

barristan either dies really early on or he eventually defects to join aegon because he thinks he's the more rightful heir. the ol treason for blood

the faceless men turn out to just be another branch of the iron bank who are doing assassinations for money more than obscure religious/political reasons. this blackpills arya enough for her to return home

sansa encounters jeyne again and this is what provokes her to move against littlefinger

there's a gay sex scene but no one likes it
