Italian Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano confirmed speaking to Musk about "how to organize a great charity event evoking history" but said any match "will not be held in Rome."

Musk apparently hopes the fight would take place in the ancient Colosseum, a UNESCO World Heritage site, posting about the idea in late June.

today (August 25) is the LAST DAY to apply for a share of the $725 million privacy settlement that Meta agreed to pay to settle the lawsuit about their selling of millions of users’ personal information. it’s super easy and after a quick google search you can find reputable news sources w/ more information. it took me less than 5 minutes and a few questions about when I’ve used Facebook / how long.

Idk if y'all have noticed but in Instagram the threads feature basically pushes out content it thinks will piss you off. It wants you to go on there and make an account so you can argue with people. In the case of LGBT+ individuals in the recommended threads are it will push posts just saying transphobia and homophobia. This is done theoretically for the same reason but it amounts to LGBT people literally being forced to see hate speech without any opt in. But today it went even further and I actually got a notification in my inbox showing me this homophobic thread. I just wanted to get this out there because it's a platform maybe people will care and see what's going on. This is an example of how social media now is just exploiting the most sensitive topics for clicks and profit. They don't care who they hurt and this has been going on with no attempt to address it much less fit it. This is how the algorithm works.
